what are your thoughts about idols venturing into dramas? and do you have someone in mind that you think did really well when they got casted? 😊

Oh wow anon, this is actually a pretty interesting question!

I would say first off that I don’t have a problem with it if they’ve put a lot of effort into preparing (ie. acting lessons, learning accents…etc) or if they just have a real knack for it. One thing I feel kind of bad about is when really skilled actors who have been acting for years still play supporting roles when an idol comes in as a lead straight away. I understand though since its all about profit and marketing, not about who the most talented ones are.

For idols I thought did a good job:

Park Jinyoung (Got7)- He is Psychometric

I might be biased since im a fan (quite obvious lmao) but he did a fantastic job as Lee Ahn in a pretty demanding drama. He put a huge amount of effort into preparing for fight scenes and pictures of his script covered in annotations showed his dedication. In conclusion i miss Ahn and i hope to see Jinyoung on screen again, but not any time soon since my boy is super busy.

Im Siwan (ZE:A)- Hell is other People, Misaeng, The Merciless

The first drama role i saw him in was Misaeng and he stole all our hearts, then he goes on to act in one of the most twisted dramas as the troubled Jongwoo. I’m also a huge fans of his movies, including The Attorney (which made me cry so much). This man is honestly a chameleon, there’s nothing he can’t do.

Lee Hyeri (Girls Day)- Reply 1988, Hyde Jekyll Me

There was no way I wasn’t going to include the person who brought Deoksun to life. I didn’t enjoy Two Cops but that was mainly because of the whole sexual assault blackmailing thing that went on, but nothing about her acting. I’ve only seen her in bubbly roles so i’m interested to see if she could do dark roles.

Do Kyungsoo (EXO)- Hello Monster, Its Okay thats Love

Probably the idol actor that comes to most minds simply because he is brilliant. He’s incredible at the darker roles and the way he expresses himself in dramatic scenes just has me speechless (we all know that one scene in IOTL).

Lee Junho (2pm)- Just Between Lovers, Confession, Chief Kim

Like Siwan, Junho has been acting for a while and it really shows. He blew us all away as Kang Doo and he made everyone laugh their asses off with his chemistry with Namgoong Min in Chief Kim. I seriously cannot wait for his return to dramaland as i’m sure he’ll surprise us all once again.

Jung Eunji (Apink)- Reply 1997, Cheer Up

From the few things i’ve seen her in, Eunji really does a great job in comedic roles. Although Reply 97 wasn’t my favourite of the series (nothing can beat ‘88) she certainly was a really fun lead. She did a horror movie this year but i’m a scaredy-cat so I won’t be watching that.

Seo Inguk- Shopping King, Hello Monster, Reply 1997 (you know you’re good when people forget you’re even a singer- and a good one at that)

Uee (ex-After School)- Hogu’s Love, My Husband Oh Jakdoo (I don’t see Uee mentioned a lot but i actually enjoy her acting)

Lee Hongki (FT Island)- Hw*yugi, Modern Farmer (are FTisland idols? I don’t even know honestly)

Lee Joon (ex MBLAQ)- My Father is Strange, Gapdong (ok i only watched like 4 episodes but he was great)

Presuming that Brandon loved Barbrey as much as she loved him, what would have happened if he had refused his father Rickard and the betrothal to Catelyn Tully? Could Brandon and Barbrey have eloped? What consequences would they have faced? Would Rickard have made Ned heir?

I’m not sure I believe that Brandon really loved Barbrey, at least enough to run away and elope with her (and certainly they didn’t IOTL, of course). In any event, however, I doubt Rickard would have allowed his heir, who played such a key role in his plans for southron ambitions, to have eloped with a mere vassal’s daughter and had the marriage stand. Lord Rickard would have had options to avoid as much scandal as possible tainting his ambitions.

So Lord Rickard might have stated that marriage simply hadn’t happened. Who would dare gainsay the Lord of Winterfell? If Lord Ryswell was happy to support the union of the heir to Winterfell with his daughter, he might have been less eager to know that his overlord, from whom all favor in the North flowed, was none too pleased with it. Similarly, I could imagine where the witnesses would have melted away if they knew testifying in favor of the marriage would mean courting the wrath of Lord Stark (and, perhaps, the Tullys and their allies as well - after all, Brandon would have been breaking his betrothal to Catelyn to do this).

Rickard could have also suggested that the marriage had never really been consummated. With all the riding done around the Rills and Barrowton, it might have been an easy enough line to believe that Barbrey had lost her maidenhead to a horse long before she encountered Brandon. Rickard might have also added a suggestion that Lord Ryswell wouldn’t benefit from having it advertised that his daughter - and marital bargainning chip - was no maiden; better to sweep it all away as a misunderstanding among hot-blooded young people. (Of course, even a consummated marriage can be put aside in Westeros, though I would imagine Rickard wouldn’t have wanted to get to the point of acknowledging there had been a legitimate, consummated marriage in the first place.)

But most of all, I think Rickard would have been very blunt with his son and anyone else who supported this venture. If Brandon wanted to maintain this venture, Rickard could simply cut him off - no more grand title to inherit at Rickard’s own death, no more wealth, nothing but the clothes on his back and the sword at his side. For Brandon, child of ultimate northern privilege, this might have seemed a most unwelcome consequence; it would be much harder to do and take as he liked when he was no more than Brandon Lackland, heir to nothing. Would Lady Barbrey, Rickard might have argued to his son, hitherto raised as an aristocratic northern lady, enjoy being a mere sellsword’s wife, trailing after her penniless husband as he sought employment with minor southron lordlings or Essosi free companies? Faced with the prospect of surrendering his lover and keeping his privileged position, or keeping Barbrey and giving up life as he had known it, Brandon might easily have chosen the former.

(I’m reminded of the scene in Wolf Hall, between Henry Percy and Thomas Cromwell. For anyone who doesn’t know the story, Henry Percy, heir to an old and powerful noble family, contracts a secret betrothal with Anne Boleyn, despite being contracted to marry the similarly blue-blooded Mary Talbot. Cardinal Wolsey has the secret betrothal put aside and Henry married to Lady Mary, but years later asserts that he was always truly married to Anne Boleyn. Thomas Cromwell is sent by the Boleyn faction to talk to Henry, and in no uncertain terms tells him to give up the argument or regret spending the rest of his life stripped of wealth and title. If you get the chance to watch Wolf Hall sometime, I highly recommend it - Harry Lloyd makes a very good Henry Percy.)

summer films ‘18

hi there! to clarify, this is a log of films i’ve seen this summer, not exactly films set in the summer, so if you’re here for that, i’m sorry?

anyway, here we go!

1. kasal (2018) / dir. ruel s. bayani ♡ 180525 ♡ girl is engaged to the son of cebu’s current mayor who is currently preparing for elections, but her ex comes back and tries to win her back ♡ cliche, i know, but trust me, this movie deals with this plotline in a very interesting way ♡ and come on, it’s bea alonzo and paulo avelino, two icons 2. high school musical (2006) / dir. kenny ortega ♡ 180614 ♡ iconic, i love troy bolton, thanks for reminding me ♡ i know sharpay isn’t that bad but she’s still a bully lol ♡ the choreography for when there was me and you got me dying i love it ♡  fave song: stick to the status quo 3. high school musical 2 (2007) / dir. kenny ortega ♡ 180622 ♡ my least favorite in the trilogy ♡ there was so much unnecessary drama they should’ve cut troy some slack ♡ i hate chad danforth, that’s all ♡ fave song: you are the music in me 4. high school musical 3: senior year (2008) / dir. kenny ortega ♡ 180622 ♡ my favorite in the trilogy! ♡ i still hate chad tho lol but i love taylor so much she’s my favorite character! ♡ i wish they elaborated more on gabriella though, because i like to imagine an alternate ending where she declines stanford and stays in albuquerque for another year which disappoints everyone and puts a strain on her relationship with troy. that would’ve been so interesting! ♡ fave song: i love all of them, but if i had to choose, the boys are back 5. kimmy dora 2: the temple of kiyeme (2009) / dir. joyce bernal ♡ 180626 ♡ the only reason i watched this was because i had a terrible pimple on my forehead and it reminded me of some horror movie then i realized it was this so i had to look for the particular scene ♡ the movie was really bad, as expected ♡ but i absolutely love eugene domingo!! she’s so talented i really admire her as an actress

6. before sunrise (1995) / dir. richard linklater ♡ 180630 ♡ this was the day my internet ultimately stopped working (for four days, if i may add) so i thought hey why not start that movie marathon i’ve been meaning to do ♡ i was excited to watch this because it’s a known pop culture reference, and also because it’s seulgi’s favorite movie ♡ it’s unique! it’s not easy to film a story that revolves around two people who’ve just met walking around in a city neither of them knows ♡ i liked this movie but it wasn’t that spectacular or anything, i think it lacks emotion and excitement ♡ but please, do not get off a train in europe with someone you’ve just met that is dangerous 

7. before sunset (2004) / dir. richard linklater ♡ 180630 ♡  i knew nothing about this so i was actually surprised to see the same actors nine years after before sunrise’s release ♡ i like this better than the first one! céline shows the emotions i was looking for ♡ it’s much simpler and easier to follow because it really is just them walking around and talking to continue the story because of the short amount of time they have together 

8. before midnight (2013) / dir. richard linklater ♡ 180630 ♡ this movie is the reason i watched the series! it was mentioned in it’s okay, that’s love so i thought i needed to watch this, and honestly, it helped me understand the characters from iotl a bit better! ♡ it ended up being my favorite film of the three ♡ it’s more complex than the first two because it introduces more characters and is set in more locations ♡ after years of watching and reading romcoms, this made me believe in love 

9. gone girl (2014) / dir. david fincher ♡ 180701 ♡ i knew nothing about this film except that there was a girl and she was missing and the plot is unexpected? ♡ i won’t say much on this because it’s amazing when you watch it without knowing anything ♡ but it is CRAZY it hecked me up so much wow ♡ will try reading the book when i can!! 10. the grand budapest hotel (2014) / dir. wes anderson ♡ 180701 ♡ my first wes anderson film (finally) ♡ bored me at first because sadly, i can’t relate to rich european men who live in hotels and have sex with elderly women ♡ but it is so much more than that! it’s funny and deals with loyalty, the war, and crap immigrants go through ♡ yes, the cinematography is unique and beautiful, but i couldn’t appreciate it much from years of seeing wes anderson stills on my social media ♡ i went into this without knowing anything about it, but i wish i’d watched the trailer beforehand because that would’ve helped me appreciate it more 11. the fault in our stars (2014) / dir. josh boone ♡ 180702 ♡ i was bored and looking through my sister’s hard drive and i thought hey why not watch sad western teen books-turned-movies i used to glorify years ago ♡ it was alright but knowing every line, song, facial expression that would come next made it worse ♡ john green’s cameo is so awkward it’s almost funny ♡ i hope i never meet an augustus waters in my life 12. if i stay (2014) / dir. r.j. cutler ♡ 180703 ♡ part 2 of sad western teen books-turned-movies i used to glorify ♡ the story is pretty good but the film itself isn’t as good as i remembered ♡ i’m still so in love with jamie blackley after four years he’s so handsome and his voice is beautiful ♡ chloe moretz’s acting is really awkward though it’s almost painful to watch ♡ it made me want to reread the sequel where she went though! 13. she’s dating the gangster (2014) / dir. cathy garcia-molina ♡ 180705 ♡ i started this with an open mind and some expectations because although i hated on it for no reason years ago, i wanted to give it a chance ♡ but i’m sorry it really is bad ♡ kenji delos reyes is manipulative and selfish i hope i never meet a guy like him 14. grave of the fireflies (1988) / dir. isao takahata ♡ 180706 ♡ two siblings in the middle of a war ♡ watched this because a friend wanted to rabbit with me! ♡ i haven’t seen a ghibli film in a while so this was refreshing ♡ really sad though :( 15. 10 things i hate about you (1999) / dir. gil hunger ♡ 180706 ♡ guy is paid to date girl lol ♡ julia stiles is so beautiful :( i love her ♡ pretty funny actually! ♡ also watched this because friends wanted to rabbit with me :> 16. i’m drunk, i love you (2017) / dir. jp habac ♡ 180707 ♡ i finally, finally watched this ♡ not gonna lie it disappointed me? so many people loved it but for me it was eh ♡ paulo avelino’s character was pretty lacking for me, i wish they’d elaborated more on him ♡ but i liked the group dynamic because they’re not the wholesome, fake happy kind of friends, seeing them interact made me feel like they’re people i really know in real life (which made me miss my own friends) ♡ even jasmine’s character felt real because she’s probably someone i’d know HAHA ♡ fun fact: i’ve listened to the song lloydy long before watching this because i mean? a song about john lloyd? sign me up 17. that thing called tadhana (2014) / dir. antoinette jadaone ♡ 180708 ♡ another film i finally watched after multiple pop culture references ♡ i actually kinda liked it! it literally has a spiel about john lloyd of course i do but it gets better when the main characters become comfortable with each other ♡ i find it interesting that the director also directed love you to the stars and back which is another film that revolves around two people, both dealing with stuff, who’d just met and decide to go on a journey together ♡ the characters also feel pretty realistic/relatable once you get to know them 18. the spectacular now (2013) / dir. james ponsoldt ♡ 180709 ♡ part 3 of sad western teen books-turned-movies i used to glorify ♡ the only reason i rewatched this was because it was the shortest of the films i had at the time and i needed something to pass the time while loading episodes of svt club ♡ i mean it’s okay? not bad not good and i don’t even like miles teller ♡ shailene woodley perfectly plays the part of the awkward oblivious girl (and that’s not a compliment) 19. the breakup playlist (2015) / dir. dan villegas ♡ 180716 ♡ this film was so refreshing to watch?? sarah portrayed a youthful musician just starting out so so well i love her so much what a great first sarah g movie for me ♡ piolo made me fall in love with him and later on hate him, as he should ♡ i love opm kaya seeing the gig scene, some actual artists like ebe dancel, and looots of covers of songs like wag na wag mong sasabihin by kitchie nadal and with a smile by eraserheads ♡ i understand now why people love paano bang magmahal HAHAHA 20. barcelona: a love untold (2016) / dir. olivia lamasan ♡ 180717 ♡ alright so remember how i absolutely hated sdtg? ♡ I LOVED THIS FILM SO. One thing that I don't get in ASOIAF is the fandom believe Rhaegar would make a great king, but what is exactly his accomplishments beside ToH and played harp?

You’re right in saying that his list of hard accomplishments is rather small. We know of only three tourneys that he entered (though he’s said to have been a consummate jouster, so presumably he did enter others), one of which he lost, one of which took him 12 rounds to win, and all three of which had final matches against members of the Kingsguard, who are known to more or less throw said matches to ensure they don’t injure their future sovereign.

(No one can say he wasn’t in a league of his own when it comes to moping, though. The guy spent extended periods of time alone at haunted Summerhall, the place most of his family died horrifically in a fire, in order to brood and write depressing songs, I mean really.)

However. You have to consider his image.

Until he took off with Lyanna, he was the absolute perfect prince. He was scholarly, which pleased the maesters, but also martial, which pleased the lords. He was handsome beyond measure, he sang songs so affecting they made wolf-blooded Lyanna cry, he wasn’t a womanizer nor did he solicit prostitutes, he was allegedly courting lords to depose his father, he did his duty by his wife and not only had a Targaryen-looking son but also a daughter that could be used for marriage alliances, he did the smart and respectful thing by moving his household to Dragonstone instead of staying in King’s Landing, etc. etc. Even the debacle at Harrenhal didn’t irreparably damage public perception.

Without the benefit of hindsight, well, there was hardly a single thing wrong with him. Maybe a little dreary, but then, Jaehaerys I didn’t exactly sound like he was the life of the party either and he’s remembered as the best king Westeros ever had.

Nearly two decades after civil war ripped the realm apart, singers continue to frame Rhaegar’s liaison with Lyanna as a tale of star-crossed lovers, a tragic romance, two people that just wanted to run away together. Only Robert is outwardly vitriolic, a vitriol that is referred to as a “madness” in him and thus more or less undermined.

All of that is, I believe, why many people in the fandom view Rhaegar so positively, because almost all of Westeros does. He’s the King That Could Have Been. Truthfully, I was of that same mind until a little over a year ago when I started analyzing it all, so I can hardly blame fans who take what the story says at face value since I used to do it myself.

But the problem is that you can’t just take things at face value and say Rhaegar would have been the best ruler since Jaehaerys, because he would not have been. He would have been closer to Aerys I, who incidentally was also obsessed with arcane matters and prophecy to the point of neglecting the realm (though Rhaegar did at least consummate his marriage and have children, which is more than Aerys did with poor Aelinor Penrose).

Best case scenario is if the Rebellion doesn’t happen and Aerys is deposed peacefully, because then Rhaegar is operating under almost unanimous goodwill (even Tywin may be brought back in the fold provided Rhaegar agrees to marry Cersei to Viserys or something). But even then, there’s still the issue of Elia not being able to have another child after Aegon, because no matter what, Rhaegar wants his third head and fast. If he doesn’t opt to kill his wife in childbirth, presumably he decides to go after Lyanna as in the original timeline. In which case even if it doesn’t come to war, he’s still massively pissing off the Starks, Baratheons, Martells, and his own mother. Not to mention that having a child with Lyanna means a bastard, likely one he would then legitimize, and let’s just say the last time there was a Targaryen bastard running around, it didn’t end well. So he’s got that to contend with, too.

But let’s say he manages to smooth things over enough to keep the country going. Barring an extreme personality shift, now that he has his three heads (though I’m not sure how he’d address Jon being, well, Jon, and not his Visenya), he’d be more focused than ever on the Long Night. He’d probably want to bolster the Night’s Watch forces, stockpile food and weapons, train not only his sons for combat but Rhaenys as well, try to obtain and hatch dragon eggs, and plan not for the immediate future but for 17 or so years down the line when the Others come. As we saw IOTL, the current status of the realm is secondary in his mind, because what does the status of the treasury matter if the Long Night isn’t prepared for?

Of course, maybe he’s a better juggler than anyone gives him credit for and he oversees the realm well and plans for the future, but I sincerely doubt it. Based on what we know, he is far more like the aforementioned Aerys I or Baelor the Blessed than, say, Daeron II. Which is something I think the people of Westeros would come to realize quite quickly. Whether Rhaegar’s madness mindset becomes so much of an issue that the people end up wanting him deposed, I don’t know. I don’t think it would get that bad, considering not even Aegon IV was kicked off the throne, but it’s a possibility–if, for instance, his son Aegon grew up in the vein of avuncular ancestor Baelor Breakspear.

I should also point out that this AU means Dany will have never been born, which throws a wrench in things, not that Rhaegar knew it.

And if the Rebellion does happen, well, Rhaegar’s exponentially more fucked. Of those who supported the crown, only the Tyrells were really of note (support that was half-assed to begin with). While Aerys was the one who escalated the situation, there wouldn’t have been a situation to escalate if Rhaegar hadn’t done what he did, and it’s not like Rhaegar would even really be able to reward the loyalists with marriage in the way Robert did since he was still married to Elia and had three kids. People may have considered him better than Aerys, but Rhaegar’s shine would have most assuredly worn off for them. At which point, Rhaegar not only has to keep the realm stable, but stabilize it to begin with. That means concessions up the wazoo and political appointments, plus things like needing to replace the dead Kingsguard and getting rid of all the wildfire beneath King’s Landing. After that, it’s the same as in the non-Rebellion scenario. He’s still going to be much more focused on the Long Night than he is on matters of state, which will put off almost everyone, especially since no one would believe him about the Others.

So no, as far as I’m concerned Rhaegar would not have made a good king, but I can see where fans get the notion that he would (looking at you, Barristan). He would have been better than his father in many respects but worse in others, and his laser focus on something in the distant future that people not Rhaegar, Aemon, or Bloodraven think is a big fat fairy tale would land him at best in disfavor and at worst deposed.

Mini Kadi Shippers/Supporters’ Survey Result

I would like to thank everyone for taking their time to respond to this survey. Your contribution is much appreciated. Anyway, this might sound a bit formal. But as long as I deliver the message, aite?

This is a mini kd shippers/supporters survey. I asked a question and collected responses which were consisted of a statement(s). I managed to collect a total of 99 responses in a span of 10 days.

Question:  i have an honest question. i’m really curious. who re u guys that ship/support kd? ks stans, ji stans, ex0-l, non-ex0-l, not even into kpop?

Next, I’ve analyzed the data using a simple coding method (use in a qualitative study). I’ve extracted a few important points from the data and divided it into two main categories - Group Stan & Bias. The subcategories were determined based on the amount of the same response

Group Stan - (1) EX0.L, (2) Non-EX0.L and (3) Not Stated Bias - (1) Jong.in, (2) Kyung.soo, (3) Jong.in & Kyung.soo and (4) Others

The unit used in the result is counted as per response [x/99].

1st Category: Group Stan

I think the highlight of this result is the Non EX0.L. Altho it's not many of them but I find it interesting that Non EX0.L take an interest in kd. These were some responses from the Non EX0.L.

The ‘Not Stated’ subcategory is self-explanatory. I believe it doesn’t affect the result that much.

2nd Category: Bias

Ks bias and ji & ks bias share the 1st spot on the chart with a total of 33 responses, respectively. I find it quite shocking. I expected that there would be more of ks bias since I’ve only heard many kd shippers are ks bias.

It is expected from my pov that there aren’t many kd shippers that biased ji, which I also find it interesting. Perhaps this has anything to do with his popularity among ifandom? Or they are more of them that ship other otp like se.kai etc? Mybe his past dating scandal affected stans in some way? //shrug.

The least frequent answers fell under ‘Others’; consisted of those who doesn't bias ji and ks, bias all ex0 and not stated specifically.

Conclusion

As per stated in the title, the result represent kai.soo shippers and supporters. This is not a proper survey since the data are varied and I’ve only managed to extract few points when they could have been more. Can you describe ks? Like how you see him (his look and personality)?

Alright, so this is purely my opinion and I might be am biased. 

When it comes to his looks I think Ksoo is absolutely beautiful (stating simple facts). His face is (imo) different from other Koreans. I first saw Ksoo act in IOTL  (I wasn’t into kpop before but I was into kdramas so after watching many kdramas I could tell that his face was smtg very unique and unlike other Koreans, this doesn’t mean that other Koreans aren’t good looking, alright?) I wasn’t sure if I liked his looks at first but after watching more episodes I remember telling myself “Oh my god, he’s really good-looking”. I cannot even tell what’s more beautiful. His heart-shaped lips (and don’t let me start about his smile), nose, (beautifully) big eyes, or his cheeks? Ksoo’s body is small (thank god he isn’t as skinny as before but he’s now rather healthy looking skinny if you get what I mean?), his waist as well but his thighs and booty… this is whole different cathegory about which if I start talking we’ll never end. Let’s just say he’s perfectly looking. That’s quite accurate, isn’t it? 

When it comes to his personality I know many ppl describe him as “stoic” and “reserved” and I don’t think that’s all he is. Because yes, there are moments when he is just quiet and doesn’t say anything until needed but what I do notice the most and what is the most important for me is how playful and precious and smiley and clingy he can be. And what pains me is how people tend to ignore this side of him. I think that this “stoic” Ksoo is to some point him but it’s mostly because he tries to not show so much of his true self to public (which is very wise). He is caring, kind, well-mannered and very talented. Everytime someone describes him they always mention how he takes care of others and how he puts other people first. To be perfectly honest, I kind of suspect him of being an angel…

Because I've been an avid kdrama watcher since BOF was still airing [not that that's a super long time]and it's super refreshing to see. I can only think of witch's romance/F2LU as another example. You’re right, sex in kdramas is kind of rare and taboo. The only dramas that I’ve seen and where the couple had sex were Personal Taste, Heart to Heart and Healer (not sure about that last one, maybe it’s my dirty mind lmao). Recently, there also was My Secret Romance ! I love seeing that evolution too!! I mean, the kisses in kdramas used to be very chaste. It wasn’t even real kisses, it was just lips against lips. Around 2013 (idk that’s how I feel but maybe I am wrong? tell me your opinion guys!), kisses started to become less fake. I guess it’s natural that kdramas slowly begin to include sex in their couple’s life!

tbh I’m a slut for romance and I was high key excited for bot FMW and SP this week lmao but not necessarily for the sake of them having sex scenes??? it’s must just the fact of seeing the actors being able to develop the chemistry between them and that it also shows that sex in kdramas is slowly ceasing to be considered taboo (I think my favorite example of this evolution is Kang Ho Kyung in Ho Goo’s love)

Also something I loved is that even when sex was portrayed in both dramas, it wasn’t done in a way where you needed to watch for five minutes both characters taking their clothes off and like... the whole process of it lmao, which is something that I HATE because dude I don’t need to see five minutes of complete nudity that have no place in the actual plot (yes Game of Thrones I’m talking to you). At least in the dramas I’ve seen with actual sex scenes and not just implied sex (the ones I remember rn are SP, IOTL, MSR and oh my venus) they have been brief cute moments where at the end you just want to scream how cute they are and how much chemistry they have, literally that’s all I could ask, no need to turn a drama into a porn like some tv shows do lmao (yes GoT I’m talking about you again)

They all trained and they chose an attractive, non singing dude for a singing group and made you be his voice behind the scenes instead of letting you debut. That's so fucking twisted.

Aqua:They were still changing the script and plot up until they started shooting in November. They scrapped earlier footage they shot in October because it changed. There were stills leaked that are nowhere to be found in any of the episodes; He was originally supposed to be a playboy.

Pisces:If anything it seems his role changed from being a main character to more of a supporting role. At least he wasn't fired from the project and given a chance to be part of this really interesting story.

Pisces:One of my questions would be how Choi Tae Ho wasn't found out sooner by fans. Guess he was never put on the spot to sing live. Like EXO does for us.

Aqua:Or they always had a vocal track ready. Or maybe they pulled a Singing in the Rain and had Jae Hyun sing into a mic while Tae Ho lip synced

I dont think i will ever enjoy a kdrama as much as its okay thats love. I also cant bring myself to really pick up and stay consistent with a drama since another miss oh and Its probably because the themes of current dramas are either too complicated or just not hitting the mark for me idk.

I was in a major kdrama slump ever since Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim ended, so pretty much all of 2017. This drama left a hole in my heart that no other show could fill. I did somehow get over it, but 2017 was very low on good shows, and there wasn’t any worthy romantic drama among them (The Best Hit hardly counts as one). The ones I enjoyed the most were all crime / revenge themed (Secret Forest, Avengers Social Club, Falsify). I’m glad that kdramas still excite me, and it honestly scares me when i find myself indifferent to all ongoing shows. It  makes me feel so empty. Thankfully, I can switch to cdramas and go in a full fairy-tale mode whenever kdramas disappoint me. I’m currently very invested into watching Tribes and Empires, so i’m not bothered that most of ongoing kdramas suck. Also, I think I’m lucky that I avoided watching It’s Okay That’s Love while it aired, and marathoned it later in one sitting. Otherwise, this drama could’ve killed me. It was the show that revived my faith in kdramas. I felt so offended after sitting through Heirs, I took a year long break from kdramas, and IOTL pulled me back in like I never left.

Hello. I recently became a fan of Kyungsoo after watching Hyung. I want to go back and watch his other stuff. But I was reading some reviews of IOTL and they said that it has a lot of sex and mentions of sex in the drama. Is that true because I'm not really comfortable watching or hearing A LOT about sex (with or without my family)?

there were indeed some innuendos & adult talks in IOTL, plus the main characters weren’t in “innocent, dugeun dugeun” stage but already adults living with problems. i can understand tho if someone could feel uncomfortable towards things like these, but it wasn’t that abundant that you’ll lose focus from the story or feel irritated, at least from my experience.

IOTL was a really good drama that talked about Psychiatric Illness, I don’t think there were a lot of korean dramas with this topic. The acting was great too, plus Kyungsoo’s character was one of the important keys here. 

I think you need to give this drama a chance, it’s also ok to skip some scenes when you think uncomfortable ^^
