The dog bed and children books in professor's lab seem to suggest that Arven probably spent lots of time in the lab when he was small. From the journals in the research labs we learnt that the professor only started working underground when their research reached certain progress. They even took the picture of young Arven from lab down with them to Area Zero and pinned it in one of the most obvious spot.

Anyway what i am trying to say is the professor definitely loved Arven a lot but Arven was too young to remember the time he spent with his parent and now I feel even more sad for him 😭

me after 8 hours of straight drawing: i miss drawing i want to draw

Up way late at night due to reasons and killed a bug in my kitchen that was either an extremely small cockroach or an upsettingly roachlike moth and it’s fucking haunting me

#I only caught a glimpse of it bc I killed it as fast as possible y’know #and in such a way that I couldn’t. like. examine it afterwards #and I know there was a little brown moth in here a couple days ago right about that size that I never managed to catch #that disappeared somewhere #but I don’t know why that would be crawling along my kitchen floor as I tried to kill it rather than fly like it had been #I’ve never seen a roach in this apartment before and it’s been months #but I can’t remember the last time I’ve had a bright light on in the kitchen after midnight. so I could’ve missed things #augh I wanna deep clean my kitchen immediately #but it’s 1:30 am and I have work tomorrow #and I have to do shit after work w my coworkers tomorrow and will be out late #so I’m not gonna have any time to do so until Wednesday #unless I get up early or stay up late to do it #ahhh #I’m mostly ok at dealing with bugs #but roaches specifically activate like a primal terror in me #they Cannot be in my apartment #they are fucking Filth incarnate #I have to vent this madness somewhere bc if I don’t exorcise the horror I simply will not be able to sleep #invasion of the frogs

i wanted to order a pizza today because my mom says we don’t have much food in the house and i’m still isolating, so i shouldn’t be down in the kitchen for an extended period of time trying to find something to make but it’s too expensive :(

thanks for the tag @silluuuu! sooo i was rewatching hbo/bbc's Starstruck and wanted to translate the meet-cute into SoMa, intending it to be an exercise/palate cleanser from the ends of the f***ing earth (bc i've been hitting some blocks with it). but now?? i'm like okay-okay, who knows, maybe it'll be a multi-chapter au 😭?? long story short: it's NYE. Maka and Soul meet in the bathroom of a club neither of them wanted to go to in the first place. Soul lends Maka a sharpie. minor acts of vandalism ensue.

Soul smirked and nodded to her handiwork. “You really showed ‘em.”

Capping the marker back up and shoving it to his chest, she looked him straight in the eye, and in a tone that was half-joke and half pride, said, “Yeah. I did.”

And something about it all (the tone, the look, the Sharpie pinned between his ribcage and her splayed hand — there in the bathroom stall of this godforsaken club) made his throat go unacceptably dry. And he knew he probably looked like a drunk idiot just standing there, staring back at her with a stupid grin on his face, because, well, he was a drunk idiot just standing there, staring back at her with a stupid grin on his face.
