Episode still airing but layla is my best girl and I have a lot to say but I'll start with how important it is to her to know that people are safe.

Her mother died driving home. Her mother died when she was supposed to be safe, and layla has to live not knowing if that was an accident or not. Layla was brought to the edge of the same cliff when struggling herself and also with Carrie (at least I feel like this was confirmed? But regardless...not good memories).

It's incredibly important to layla to know her loved ones get home safe. She needs the got home safe text, and it needs to be in words because that's easier to see and hold onto than a reaction. It means they had to type it out. There's no room for interpretation. She is that friend who makes sure you get home safe even though she struggles with driving because of all her history.

She needs to know when they all do because she knows what it's like to think someone did when they didn't.

This episode was sooo good! Spencer really is a true leader and I love how Jordan is growing to be more assertive! Then getting good mentors who put them first >> Also Asher is SUCH a great coach. His growth since s1 is beautiful!

I also love that Olivia brought up the affair and she and Grace talked about it! Also missed Denise a lot, so it was a treat to see her. Not to mention the Spelivia content is A+. Jordayla is making me sad tho. I’m hoping Layla doesn’t have a romantic plotline with t that coworker.

Also love seeing Preach back as well. Same with Jabari. Seeing Wade back is a little 😬😬 and very shocking, given the way he was just…I’m hoping he’s grown more at this point haha.

All American is wrecking my heart in the best way with its most recent batch of episodes, and I know that’ll only continue.

I know I’m a sucker for emotional scenes on bathroom floors, but there’s a reason for that. Whether it be All American, Grey’s Anatomy, Gilmore Girls, Station 19, Stranger Things, or most other shows, there’s a grounding element of that location. There’s a innately human desire to feel something cold and hard and solid when the world feels unsteady.

These raw, real, and uber vulnerable moments are heartbreaking and honest, and they make me happy to be a fan of TV and a writer that hopes to write TV.

crazy to see people calling olivia selfish after last episode, like of course she was going to release the article not only because she worked hard on it but because garret has to be exposed. spencer knew that eventually the article would come out and would effect the team and therefore effecting him. so him acting like olivia shouldn’t publish it for him is so? she didn’t put her name on it bc it would put jordan and spencer in the middle of things, but with her name off it the spotlight is off them and they are just like anyone else on the team. i don’t like the implication that spencer thinks his career is more important than olivia’s? like he knew this day was coming and that it would be messy.
