thank u to @doctordumptruck for this idea, even though la croix is not my choice of sparkling water brand so I don't know what some of these flavors even really taste like! :') so it's less la croix flavors and more what flavors they remind me of lmao

Alex - Coffea Exotica
This is definitely not a flavor for everyone, and sometimes it feels like this coffee + cola mix of flavors is trying to figure itself out
But if you give it a chance, you can see that the two flavors actually work together in an unexpected way
Have I actually tried the Coffea Exotica flavor? No. But I have had the Coca Cola + Coffee drinks and I'm a fan of the caramel one specifically
Similarly to the fact that I've only ever gone after Alex when I'm not basing my farmer off of myself. You have to find out what mixture of coffee + cola is best for you to really enjoy it
Elliott - Pomme Bayá
Elliott reminds me of fall, and so does this mixture of flavors, but that's probably because his birthday is in fall
Apple and cranberry together is such a good mixture, very classic for staying inside and relaxing, which is the vibes that Elliott gives off
Is this one that many people will rank as their favorite? Not really. In fact, I never even really see this flavor at the store often
Personally not really one I would actively get, but I will not complain if it's in front of me lmao
Harvey - Tangerine
An absolute classic
It's gonna give you up, never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
People tend to overlook it because "the other flavors are so much better!!!" and "there are already so many citrus flavors"
Well listen here, I think tangerine is better than orange
It's a reliable flavor, a good one to return to when you just want something that you know won't hurt you
Sam - Piña Fraise
I asked one of my friends for help, and he said Sam would be a White Claw instead of a la croix
I agree but if Sam had to be a la croix flavor, he'd be Piña Fraise
Reminds me of summer, and his beach scene with his brother is one of my favorites
A sweet boy, just like this watermelon and strawberry mixture
Not really the go-to for many people, but it's always a fun treat when you finally do go for it
Sebastian - Berry
Honestly he's a hard one to figure out, both in general and just trying to choose a la croix flavor for him
The title of "Berry" is very vague, and you'll either grow to love it or try to find something else that suits your taste better
Personally, I love my berry boy even though I still can't completely figure him out and I marry him half of the time
I am, however, indifferent to berry la croix lmao
Shane - Pamplemousse
You either love it or hate it, but you can't deny the fact that it's a popular flavor
Somewhat of an acquired taste? The more you try it, the more you get used to it
People tend to have strong reactions either way. Lots of people who will defend pamplemousse to the ends of the earth, and also lots of people who will actively show that they hate pamplemousse
Bachelorettes
Abigail - Kiwi Sandía
The sweet smell of the kiwi watermelon la croix is one I find to be strong, but the flavor of the drink itself isn't as strong (what did I expect, it's la croix)
I feel that's the same with Abigail. When I first got the game, I was unsure on if I'd like her or not, but she slowly started charming me
Also not la croix flavor related, but i do love kiwi watermelon together, and they remind me of being younger because those are two fruits my parents buy that were usually present for convenient snacking lmao
Emily - Apricot
Am I making Emily apricot because of her quest where she requests a farm fresh apricot? Possibly
However, I do also think that apricots do fit Emily

Like the apricot la croix, I actually can't tell you what the passionfruit la croix tastes like, but I do love passionfruit in general lmao
Tropical, sweet, and sour? That's our girl right here
I find passionfruit when used as a flavoring to be one that typically hits strong at first, but eventually mellows out
The flavor definitely grows on you, but I am once again talking about actual passionfruit and not the la croix flavor
Leah - Limoncello
I know that Leah's all about health and nature and stuff, but she's also a big fan of like wine and cheese, so I felt like limoncello is perfect for her
Limoncello is a great change from the typical lemon flavor. Still has that citrusy flavor, but with a bit of sweetness to balance it out a bit
Now, I don't think Leah would actually drink this flavor of la croix, but it do think she likes actual limoncello
Also, this flavor was so hard to come by when it first hit the stores, which is accurate to Leah because I always have a hard time finding her when I actually wanna see her
Maru - Múre Pepino
Blackberry and cucumber together are such fresh flavors, an absolute treat together
Yet not a flavor I see people talk about often????
The cucumber is so unexpected since I don't think any other la croix flavors have cucumber, but it works so well

Penny - Key Lime
I LOVE key lime
A citrus flavor, so it is more of a classic, reliable flavor
But I find that the key lime just has something in it that makes it distinct from regular lime

My love for Penny is the same as my love for key lime sparkling water
I cannot explain to you why I think it's good, but it does make me feel happy so I'm keeping it

dfgdfg i have..... a petermart story that dealt with the different flavor of loneliness they both had, half smut half genuine meta of both of them and theorization on the branching of an Entity & how their powers manifested in other people...
basically, peter thinks hes hot shit when it comes to loneliness but gets overwhelmed when martin accidentally projects his feelings abt *fic's plot stuff* on him, its fun stuff!

Canonically speaking him and martin! The pull and push of them was The best thing about season 4! They're fascinating characters to have side by side

listen, listen, i know it sounds like im woobifying her i Know it but reading the scraps of her story how can i Not feel sorry for her? when the story framed her very similar to jon? the supernatural childhood encounter that gave them arachnophobia and the subsequential joining with an Entity against her will? the fact that both the story and the fans treat her like a spider woman always sat very very bad to me, and the fact that the story itself always framed her like a villain (considering All The Other Characters that get the benefit of the doubt) was extremely disappointing

A Little About Hazel
Answered this bunch of questions about Hazel because I intend to hopefully participate in the “Echoes of the Past” event hosted by @arcana-echoes

Which character(s) is your apprentice romancing? What attracts your apprentice to them?
Julian! Hazel loves that he’s so sociable and seems to be friends with everyone. He’s very considerate and attentive as well and genuinely cares about others. He’s also very sweet and VERY into physical affection, which Hazel is as well. They’ve got a lot in common and have quite similar personalities, so they understand each other well!
If your apprentice was a romanceable character in The Arcana, what would their route be like?
Hazel’s route would probably involve getting them out of their shell and showing them how to be more confident and assertive. (Honestly probably similar to, but less extreme than, Muriel’s route ngl.)
How does your apprentice take their coffee? Do they even drink coffee? If not, what do they drink instead to put pep in their step?
They don’t like coffee! It’s too bitter and they hate the taste. No amount of cream, sugar, and/or flavoring can make it drinkable to them. They usually won’t drink anything of the sort, but if they’re desperate and need to stay awake / wake up they’ll brew their own pep-up potion and flavor it to their liking.
If your apprentice was attending a potluck, what would they take as their contribution?
They’d probably check what everyone else was bringing and make something according to that, but if told to pick whatever:
They love to bake, so they’d prefer to bring dessert – perhaps a strawberry shortcake, but they’re happy to make anything.
If they brought an entrée, it would probably be a shredded potato casserole – shredded potatoes, ground beef, cheese, and cream of mushroom soup baked in the oven.
What are some of your apprentice’s minor and major fears? What’s the best way to comfort them when afraid?
They have a fear of abandonment, fear of loved ones being hurt or killed, and fear of general horror/spooky things and jump-scares.
Generally, being present with them and distracting them with something else is most helpful. Depending on how close they are to whoever they’re with, being held/letting them hold on to you is great. However, sometimes they won’t want to be touched, or may not be close enough with the person to want to touch/be touched. In that case, talking to them about something they like can be good. But you have to make sure you have their attention first or they may not hear it if they’re spoken to.
Does your apprentice enjoy dressing up or would they prefer to just wear what’s comfortable?
They much prefer to just wear whatever is most comfortable. If they do have to dress up for an event, they will prefer something elegant, but not too ornate. They generally prefer to not stand out, so they tend to dress relatively plainly.
Is your apprentice happy with their physical appearance? If so, do they flaunt it? If not, what do they want to change?
Hazel is quite happy with how they look, but has no desire to flaunt it (until they start dating Julian and then want to show off for him, because they know he likes it).
[Before being revived, they wanted to get top surgery. They were pretty flat-chested, but still… noticeable. That became unnecessary post revival as their new body automatically took the form they wanted – hence why they don’t have any scars from it. They don’t realize this is the case as they don’t remember how they were before.]
What would your apprentice want as a birthday gift?
Hazel isn’t too picky, honestly. Anything that shows them the other person was thinking about them is great! Handmade or store-bought, all gifts are equal before them. All they really want is for people to show them they remember things they like. Simple jewelry is usually a safe bet, and/or anything wolf-related.
What is your apprentice’s natural stress response (fight, flight, or freeze) and how does that influence their actions when confronted with a stressful situation? Do they recover from stress quickly or does it affect them for hours afterward?
Their natural stress response is freeze then flight. When confronted with a stressful situation they will freeze to analyze the situation, looking for escape routes and assessing their chances of success. If possible, they will run as fast as possible to put as much distance as necessary between them and the source of the stress. If running isn’t possible or practical, they will still move as quickly as is acceptable until they feel like they’re far enough away to be safe.
How quickly they recover is entirely dependent on whether they have access to a trusted person to help them unwind. They recover most quickly if they can be around Julian even if they just sit in the same room as him while he works. Secondary preference would be Asra or Portia. If forced to deal with things alone, it can take hours for them to recover.
What’s the first thing someone is likely to notice about your apprentice when meeting them for the first time? Do they have any other quirks that set them apart?
They are very socially awkward and this comes across very clearly.
Their face isn’t usually very expressive, and this is often mistaken for disinterest. Unfortunately, this is actually because they experience emotions on a scale of 1-2-3-8-9-10 so anything that falls in the middle ground is unlikely to affect their facial expression.
When they’re happy, they tend to jump and run around as a means of stimming, to burn off some of the excessive emotion they’re feeling. If they’re around people they trust, they may also spontaneously burst into song – something that expresses what they’re currently feeling.
How does your apprentice act when meeting new people? Are they outgoing, shy, awkward, aloof? Do they like being the center of attention?
They’re usually very quiet and withdrawn and their neutral expression and closed off body language can and does come across as standoffish and unapproachable. If you get past that, they’re usually shy and awkward, not saying much unless necessary. They feel very uncomfortable being the center of attention and can get really stressed out if the focus is on them.
How does your apprentice treat people in positions of authority? Does your apprentice believe they deserve respect just because of their position/status?
They’re usually nervous around people in positions of power, but that’s mostly because they’re not very knowledgeable about proper social conventions and are afraid of doing something wrong/inappropriate. They do not, however, believe people in positions of power deserve respect just for their status. If they feel like someone in power is shitty and or not suited for the role, they aren’t inclined to be nice to them. They usually prefer to avoid conflict, however, so they won’t usually confront the person unless pushed.
Your apprentice sees someone who is very obviously wealthy accidentally drop a small pouch of coins. What do they do?
If they think no one else noticed, they’ll keep it and use whatever money is inside to buy food or clothing for some of the street kids in the city. They know Asra grew up like that, and they like to help the kids whenever they can.
What was your apprentice’s reaction to Julian’s speech on the docks in Book VII? How did they deal with it afterwards?
“Achievement Unlocked: Hazel would now DIE for you.” They were honestly over the moon that he genuinely wanted to be with them, and that feeling kind of bled into everything else at the time. It hurt to see how much he cared about everyone but himself, but the knowledge that he was just trying to protect them and did want to be with them despite that he was “breaking up” with them made it possible for Hazel to resolve to pursue a relationship with him anyway. They can be stubborn and very determined when they set their mind to something. They were a bit overwhelmed and thus couldn’t properly voice their thoughts immediately, but they intended to make a plan and go after him at a later time.
How does your apprentice feel about sharing a bed with Asra in the shop?
They don’t mind at all. In fact, they like curling up with him at the end of the day. They sleep better when holding something or someone – they will cling in their sleep – and Asra got them a plush toy wolf to sleep with when he’s not around. They see Asra as a sibling and have zero qualms about platonic physical affection. This has, however, had the consequence of completely desensitizing them to being physically affectionate with anyone they consider a friend further impacting their already questionable grasp on common social etiquette…
Does your apprentice enjoy the luxury of the palace and Nadia’s gifts or do they find it overwhelming?
They do not. They’re super overwhelmed with all of it. The food is too fancy, the clothes Nadia gave them were far too extravagant for their tastes, and they absolutely hate feeling like anyone is going out of their way for them.
They do like the baths and the bed and the gardens, but for the most part that kind of ostentatious living is not for them.
How does your apprentice react when confronted with the creature from the abandoned wing in Asra and/or Nadia’s routes in Book VII? What’s going through their head at the time?
Hazel only caught a glimpse of it on their first night at the palace, when they were dragged up the stairs by Mercedes and Melchior when Portia left them alone with the dogs. They were absolutely terrified and tried to leave as quickly as possible seeing it only for an instant just before they made it back to the steps. They are… not a fan.
How does your apprentice feel about Consul Valerius?
They hate him immensely. He’s arrogant and so infuriatingly dismissive of them, they can’t stand it. He honestly made them so mad at their first meeting, that they retaliated against him – consequences be damned.
Is there a song or songs that you associate with your apprentice?
SO MANY (god I love music) but for now, the most important ones imo and personal favorites of mine are “I Believe in You” by Michael Bublé and "No Matter What" from the Steven Universe Movie!
Is your apprentice friends with any other fan apprentices?
Not at the moment, but they’re certainly open to it!

I generally just use an actual bookmark, but some things I've used in a pinch are: receipts, a pen, sunglasses, some mail, another book, debit card, a hairband, my purse

I don't drink coffee and I just have a teaspoon or 2 of sugar in my tea
7: do you name your plants?
Yep, I have 2 in my room called Ellie and Nyah. I even named their pots because they're cute and shaped like a sheep and a hippo! The pots are called Pippa and Mimi and they're girlfriends
8: what artistic medium do you use to express your feelings?
Generally writing I guess. I do a lot of painting/drawing too but that's less feeling expression and more just fun.
9: do you like singing/humming to yourself?
Yep, and I'm probably very annoying to share space with because I do it a lot

On my side and I have to switch like every 10 minutes when I'm trying to sleep or I get uncomfortable

Oh where to begin! Okay so for one NASA had to design a special pen for use in space because due to the lack of gravity, normal pens don't work. Any liquid in space will form itself into a sphere due to surface tension. Sunsets on Mars are blue. There's a planet where it's constantly raining glass sideways because wind speeds are so high. There's a (I think) dwarf planet in our solar system that they nicknamed The Goblin. Planet 9 is something we can observe exists but no one can find it and it might not be a planet at all. It could be a black hole or something. The moon is slowly drifting away. I'm gonna stop here but I could go on for ages.

I usually pick future no question but like I'm a little concerned as to what such a near future will actually look like. Heavy/Alternative Music Genres Tier List Based Purely on How Much I Like Them
Taken from a YouTube video I saw today from my favorite channel, The Punk Rock MBA by Finn Mckenty - there was a link to this in the description to make your own. Full explanation of why I put what where under the cut.
It was a little bit of a challenge to place these because I like almost all of these genres to some extent. In order to decide how much I like them relatively, I had to consider factors like how frequently I actually listen to them, how many different bands in a genre I listen to/how much I really know about it, and how much of an impact it’s had on me personally. Also, I have an idea from watching this and every other video on his channel what bands Mckenty means when he talks about a certain genre, so I tried to go off that more than my personal definition since he made the chart.
S TIER: - Best Music I’ve Ever Heard
Ska - I fucking love ska and listen to it most days, plain and simple.
Deathcore - same goes, really. Many of my favorite metal bands are actually deathcore.
Skate punk - possibly my favorite iteration of punk music. This is bands like NOFX, Lagwagon, and Pennywise. Can get as gnarly as RKL and as poppy as No Use For a Name.
Melo Death - I think most of my favorite metal bands that aren’t deathcore are melodic death metal. It’s a pretty broad genre if you ask me but includes The Back Dahlia Murder, Amon Amarth, At The Gates, and Children of Bodom.
A Tier: More of My Favorites
Djent - if you’re not familiar with the term, djent is an onomatopoeia that refers to the sound of a low power chord on a guitar. Meshuggah more or less pioneered the sound, but a lot of newer deathcore at least has a djent influence.
Metalcore 1.0 - this is bands that sound like Killswitch Engage and As I Lay Dying. I listened to a lot of this in my late teens and early 20s.
Death Metal - gotta love it. I just wish some of the older bands had better recording quality.
Mall Screamo - so when Mckenty says “mall screamo” he includes mall emo in that; it includes Fall Out Boy, MCR, and the Used as well as, I’m assuming, bands like Senses Fail, Aiden, or Hawthorne Heights. I have fond memories of lots of this stuff and have branched out more into both the more pop punk and post hardcore flavors of it recently.
B Tier: I Like It
Easycore: The first time I heard an easycore song was when I heard Playing Dead by Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! on a Spotify playlist. It was such an aggressive mashup of metalcore and pop punk that I was immediately obsessed. Easycore is awesome but it is still pretty new to me.
Real Punk - in this context this means anything from The Sex Pistols to The Casualties to GBH. This sort of thing can be kind of hit or miss for me; I love the Casualties and Blanks 77 and bands that do this sound well, like The Exploited, do it really well. However, they have a lot of copycats, and the bands that aren’t so memorable (and even some that punk purists stand by) have a sound that I like but that all sounds exactly the same. Ultimately, a lot of the stuff that got put in this category often lacks the creativity and fun that my favorite punk music has.
Thrash Metal - I do really love Slayer, and I was always a fan of Kreator and Sodom. .
Hardcore - Hardcore can be such a broad term, but to me it does have a pretty specific sound though, like The Gorilla Biscuits, Youth of Today, or Terror, though it can also include older bands like Minor Threat and bands like H20. I think hardcore punk to me is something older and slightly different that influenced both hardcore and other kinds of American punk, but maybe I’m just being picky and not paying as much attention to some bands’ later discography.
C Tier: I Dabble in It
Nu Metal - I love Slipknot and I like Korn (and I guess Linkin Park are considered Nu Metal) but I don’t really listen to any other Nu Metal bands. I like what I’ve heard but haven’t dug too deep into the genre. Maybe it’s time to go find a Spotify playlist?
Butt Rock - butt rock is Nothin’ But Rock: that sort of post-grunge radio rock that was popular in the 2000s. I think bands like Nickleback, Creed, Staind, and Puddle of Mudd exemplify this sound, but it also includes bands like Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace, and maybe even Disturbed, which I like. I remember a bunch of these kind of songs fondly, ngl.
Crab Core - this refers to bands that played their instruments while standing in a crab like position. This is like the 2010s metalcore: Attack Attack!, I See Stars, Asking Alexandria, We Came as Romans, etc. I never got super into most of this stuff except for a few songs here and there.
Grunge - I do really like Nirvana and I like most songs I’ve heard by Pearl Jam, Alice and Chains, and Soundgarden, but I can’t say this is a genre that’s had a big influence on me or that I’ve cared to dive deep into, which is why I decided not to rate it higher. Like, I listen to it a little bit but it’s not my favorite sound ever.
TRL-Core Pop Punk - this is what I think of when I think of when I think pop punk as opposed to 90s bands that were considered pop punk at the time but are just punk now. It’s bands that were on TRL like Blink 182 and New Found Glory. I was just a little too young for this at its peak, and while I’m just starting to develop a taste for it now it’s always been a little too poppy for my tastes.
D Tier: I Can Take It or Leave It
Black Metal - believe it or not, this was one of the first metal genres I listened to and enjoyed, but over time it just got really overshadowed. A lot of these D and E tier genres have 1 band that I really like, and so I do love Watain but never found another black metal band that could match them for me. Many of their albums have way better production than what the genre is known for though, and in general I tend to like bands with a black metal influence more than I like black metal itself.
Neo Thrash - both this and New School Old School Death Metal are bands that sound just like the old stuff but were started only a few years ago. The thing is, I like these but haven’t delved much into them because there’s just so many metal bands between that and the old stuff that I tend to only spend time on whatever strikes me as unique or exceptional.
Nu School OSDM - same as Neo Thrash.
E Tier: I Don’t Really Care For It (But I Won’t Mind If Someone Else Puts It On)
Power Metal - I’ve tried to get into power metal but I just can’t. It’s not my thing.
Grindcore - I really like Insect Warfare but other than that, grindcore is another genre that just strikes me as kind of boring and repetitive on the whole.
F Tier: I Hate It
Midwest Emo - I’d heard the term before, didn’t know what it sounded like, looked it up, and I hate it.
Emo Rap - this is a very new type of rap that sometimes has some guitar sounds and has vocal parts that sound like they could have come out of a pop punk song. It’s cool stuff musically but I just don’t like the way it sounds.

48. favorite job you’ve ever had? I love my current job as a tutor at my school and a learning assistant in a freshman course.
49. How did you get your biggest scar? Uh, I think my biggest scar in on one of my calves and basically what happened is I was going down the stairs to a test with my teacher and another student (because we were reviewing beforehand) so I was walking and my foot got under me and I fell. Which, wouldn’t be that bad except it was concrete stairs so it broke a significant portion of my skin. I got a bandaid and cleaned it up a little, still took my test (got a 70 but it got replaced by the final so I got an A in the class), drove 30 minutes home with my leg aching (i don’t remember which leg it was and I’m wearing jeans or I would check), and walked in my kitchen to show my mom. Tbh, it only became a scar because I have a habit of picking on scars and fingernails and basically anything.
I’m an anxious bean. Okay?

KCON LA 2019 Recap
Wow what an insane three days. My expectations were pretty low from KCON NY but I was really impressed by some of the events they had at the convention.
I'm just gonna use everyone's real names in this because it's too hard to remember everyone's handles.
Thursday, August 15th
After work, I went home, made dinner, packed up, and then went straight to the airport. The flight from San Jose to Burbank is literally an hour gate to gate (45 minutes of flight time lol) so it was a super short flight. The only pressing thing was that some of my discord buddies were doing karaoke in ktown so I really didn't want to miss out on that. My mvp sister came to the airport to pick up all my stuff and I ubered straight to the karaoke place to see everyone (I forgot to take pictures though :(). Jordan started me off with Rough and after they sang a ton of other girl group songs, I did Red Flavor and Energetic. We didn't want to go too hard before the convention even started so we all decided to meet at the convention before noon. The izone fanclub meeting was at noon and the fromis_9 fanclub meeting was at three, so I definitely wanted to go to both (all six moderators for the two fanclub meets are in the group I went with).
Friday, August 16th
I woke up at like 9 and I went with Cyn to go get Trieu Chau noodles, which tasted even better than I remember.
Everyone wanted to get lunch in between the fanclub meetings but I don't trust eating in big groups and I'm pretty good at not eating for long periods of time in case anything happens.
I got to the convention at around noon, but it took me around half an hour to check-in because my dumb ass was so lost. I'm super glad the lady that gave me my wristband let me tighten it myself just so I could take it off freely between the three days. I also went to the merchandise pick-up and got my two fromis_9 slogans and a loona slogan. I ran over to the izone fanclub meeting right after.
There were a ton wizones there and they played three rounds of games through kahoot guessing these random ass facts I don't even think a hardcore wizone would know. We then did the Violetta and La Via En Rose fanchants and it ended there. After that I walked out with Nick and Danny and we went to the mob so they could try buying their izone and itzy hi-touches.
So the mob in LA was batshit insane and the hi-touches were marked up SOOO much higher than I ever would have guessed. An A1 pack is $170 and it comes with one hi-touch, two audiences, and a red carpet pass (ignore the red carpet pass I don't think anyone cares about that). Stray Kids/Ateez hi-touches were easily going for $300, and I heard someone got really desperate and dropped $700 for her Ateez hi-touch. Out of the nine hi-touches that happened (should have been ten but rip Chung Ha) my feel for the prices went something along the lines of (+ their average price from what I saw)

Yeah people are insane. And with the audiences I'm pretty sure you have a solid 7/9 chance to make a huge profit. If you posted in the Facebook group and did the "dm me your best offer" I'm pretty sure you'd be able to sell your Stray Kids hi-touch for $600+. People were even buying Stray kids audiences for $100 like are you serious...
The supply and demand was also super polarized. We waited for almost an hour and not even a single person had an itzy/izone hi-touch for sale, yet there were probably at least 10 people willing to drop a nontrivial amount of money for anyone that came up. If you're willing to pay this much money to touch a few groups, diamond doesn't sound that bad anymore (all-access hi-touch, plat only gets 2).
I stood around and talked until like 2:30 until making my way to the fromis_9 fanclub meet. I think loona was at star square at the time so the turn out was even smaller than New York imo.

We played two kahoot games and I actually won the guess the song after only hearing one second of it. There were nine questions and I legitimately knew seven of them, but they used the same questions in New York so I knew the last two were Youth (Hayoung's cover)/From Now (Jiwon's and Nakyung's OST song). That won me a medium size KCON LA 2019 shirt, but that was just a consolation prize. fromis_9 hadn't even left Korea yet so there's no way we could get signed merch. We then did the Love Bomb/Fun/Love Rum Pum Pum fanchants. I didn't go that hard on Love Bomb, but MVP Danny helped me hold my phone so I went full blast on Fun and Love RumPumPum. Ngl the Love RumPumPum fanchant was literally impossible unless you already knew it because the timings are so strange and no one can actually read romanized Korean fast enough (the subs didn't have the hangul). I'm kinda the fanchant guy so I really wanted to drop all that Korean practice at this opportunity.
After the fanclub meet, I finally got a chance to walk around the convention. This was my first KCON LA, but I heard in previous rooms they only got half the expo hall but this year they got the whole thing. Everything was spaced out pretty well and there was a ton more to do than in NY.
I walked around for a bit, took some pictures, and then sat on a bench to hang out with Danny for like an hour since all the others went to go line up for KCON Rookies (there had to have been at least 1.5k people waiting).

All memes aside, it's nice to actually get to know some of the back stories behind some other friends. Danny and I realized we both ulted GFriend and fromis_9 and how willing we are to just throw money at both groups lol. I gave the extra fromis_9 slogan towel I ordered to my new friend and he left for Rookies since he was plat and had priority entrance. I made one more lap around the convention, said hi to an old friend, and then called an Uber to get dinner with my sister and two college friends.
It was a pretty fancy Japanese dinner that was definitely not worth it, but we got Salt and Straw after and that was awesome.
We walked back to the apartment of two other people that joined us, and I left for Dan Sung Sa to meet up with the rest of the group after Rookies. I finally got to see my buddy Alex (he got diamond so he was busy milking the perks the whole day), ate some good food, and I drank a bit more than I should have.
After dinner #2, I ubered back to Cyn's and planned to wake up fairly early to go to LAX.
Saturday August 17th
fromis_9 took off on their flight from Incheon at around 8pm our time, so they would be landing at around 10am PDT. The izone artist engagement happened to be at around the same time (11am, a ton of people in the group at hard core wizones), so only a few of us decided to go to LAX. I took an Uber to the airbnb and then we all went to LAX together. We also heard Stray Kids, Mamamoo, and Verivery were on the same flight, so we'd coincidentally get to see a ton of idols. At the airport, I met some fans from other discord servers and we just sat around waiting for them to come out of the special exit.
A lot of the group went on Thursday to greet loona/izone at the airport, but a ton of them didn't even get to see them because they were waiting at the wrong exit. I kinda piggy-backed off their experience and made sure I was sitting at the right one.
After standing around for quite a bit, everyone formed two huge lines waiting to greet them. I wanted to stick out my hand for them to touch, hold up my Jiheon sign, and try recording it at the same time, but I only have two hands. I ended up placing my phone in front of the Jiheon sign and keeping my right hand free. They walked out super fast, but Jiheon pointed at me and laughed at my sign. It really only lasted 10 seconds, and I felt pretty mission-accomplished knowing Jiheon saw my sign at least once. Jiwon lead the line and I keep forgetting how smol she is. (I’ll post the video I got eventually).
The next artist that came out was Stray Kids, and they were super nice and waved at us. All hell broke loose When Mamamoo came out like I'm genuinely surprised the fans there were that crazy. First of all, they are SOOOOOOOOOOO short. I've seen pictures of Mamamoo standing next to GFriend and while they all tease Eunha for being 5'4", she's still taller then Solar/Moonbyul/Hwasa. The fans chased after the van and started screaming Mamamoo for a few minutes before dispersing. At this point, most people left, but out of no where, N.Flying also exited the airport. Ngl, I thought it was gonna be Verivery but when I only saw four members I made the connection. I was looking at the footage I recorded of fromis_9 that I couldn't record N.Flying coming out fast enough. There was nothing left to do so my group just ubered back to the LA Convention Center. Tbh at this point, this trip was already better than all of KCON NY minus what happened at Washington Square Park because I already got to see fromis_9 in person. They made 0 appearances at the NY convention and the day I went to the airport, they weren't even flying out so at this point, the trip was already worth it.
It was around 12:30pm when we got to the convention, and I was with all three fromis_9 fanclub moderators, so they got to go through the staff entrance while I wanted in the pleb line. Once I made it into the convention center, I rushed over to the KCON beauty station where loona was having a meet and greet (started at 12:40pm). There were SO many people and even on my tiptoes I could only catch the top half of the screen, though if I held my phone up I could record what was happening.
A few people moved out of the way and I could kinda see Haseul's and Choerry's faces but there were so many orbits. I couldn't really hear what they were saying, but every time Chuu said something, the orbits there were roaring (she is undisputedly the most popular member among the crowd). They ended up just talking about some beauty tips and how they do their makeup, so I kinda knew what to expect when fromis_9 were coming tomorrow.
The meet and greet ended on time around 1:10pm, and at this point, I was starving since I hadn't eaten the whole day. We were gonna go to the food trucks to get food but we got the inside scoop that izone was going to be making an appearance at the Olive Young booth. A huge wall of people were already forming, but I decided to wait on the left wing where there were still cameras but much fewer people. I ended up recording the entire segment. We were trying to not be obnoxious yelling their names when they were doing something, but the entire crowd would call a member in unison until they did a little dance for us. Chaeyeon really won my heart with her fan service and Yujin gave us a ton of attention too. The cameraman there actually told us to cheer for them louder so he could record us LOL.
It was around 2pm now, so we waited around for more people to gather and we all headed to the food trucks. The street food they had was obviously overpriced but pretty good compared to the normal food they'd have in the convention center.
There was nothing interesting left on the schedule for me, so I just walked around the convention center looking for something to do. I heard some screaming around the KCON stage, so I sprinted over and caught N.Flying's appearance. They were presenting the winner of some Cover Star K award, but the more interesting part is that they sang a snippet of Rooftop for us.
Kyla tweeted that she'd be at the convention center, so a group of us walked around to places we thought she'd be at, but we didn't end up finding her. I walked back into the convention center and saw another mob at the Star Square, and it turns out N.Flying was reading off horoscopes and taking pictures with the fans that won their meet and greet.
After that, I stood with James in the middle of the convention, and literally just so happened to bump into a group of maybe 30 people trying to meet up with Kyla (they nominated one person to DM Kyla on twitter). I followed this group around and we ended up moving to three different places until we found a spot that was fairly empty. I had a feeling Kyla was coming soon, and I made sure James and I were standing closest to the entrance. Kyla appeared with some other friends and when we formed a line get a picture with her, James and I were in front lol (I went second). She recorded a video message to a fan's friend that couldn't be there, and I told her she was amazing and such an inspirational figure in the kpop community. I got a hug and a picture with her.
It was like 5pm now, so I broke off from everyone and sat at a table to drink some water, recharge, and plan out my schedule for the rest of the day and for tomorrow. At around 6pm, I walked over to my friend's hotel a block away from the Staples Center, and we sat around just hanging out before the concert. Nick showed me his izone lightsticks (yes multiple, apparently wizones customize a lightstick for each member) and Brian showed me his entire kpop photocard set (there were so many holy shit). Since we were all seated tonight, we just left the hotel at around 7:15pm and got in around 7:30pm for the preshow. The free ticket I got was part of a set of three, so the two people I was sitting with were also friends of the person I knew.
The view I got was also amazing, I'm surprised at how good P2 was (I would have taken this over P1 because P1 is kinda lower than I'd like). I'm not really invested into AB6IX, Ateez, or SF9, but when Loona came out I lost my shit oh my god they were amazing. AND I FINALLY GOT TO SEE LOVE PAINT LIVE. One of my favorite songs of all time performed by OT5. I was kinda sad Nu'est did real love true love instead of look because look is my #2 song by them, but I guess they couldn't repeat the set list from NY.
After the concert, we split up into Ubers and went to BCD, which had a ridiculous wait because we were definitely not the only ones going after the concert. Everyone was starving and tired, but I'm pretty sure izone and loona knocked us all off our feet.
We planned to line up for P1 GA at around 8am and all parted ways. I was already super tired at this point, but Saturday was supposed to be the easy day compared to Sunday when fromis_9 would be appearing
Saturday August 17th
I got up around 7:30am and ubered back to the convention center, though I was late as hell and had sprint to join my friends standing in line. Actually I was so late that I had to make up some excuse of going to the bathroom and returning to my "spot in line". I got 596, but my friends that did GA yesterday said they had 400 and still got an amazing view.
I wasn't too worried about it since I wasn't going to camp out overnight and I had buddies that knew what they were doing. It was around 9:45am, so David gave me his convention pass so I could get staff entry into the convention (he was going back to his airbnb to grab some stuff).
We had enough passes to go around so I think five of us entered the convention early and went to the KCON message board to write some nice things. I wrote something super similar to what I did in NY, and then wrote something for GFriend somewhere else.
(shoutout to Anh for spelling Gyuri’s name wrong)
While I was finishing up my message for GFriend, I saw people sprinting into the convention center and Jordan started screaming my name to come over. I followed my instinct and sprinted towards him, and we got front row seats at the KCON beauty station. There were around 20 other people sprinting too, and I was actually pushed to the side by two girls that got there first. I had no idea people would come three and a half hours for fromis_9, but I think it's because people figured out how to do it with Loona. I befriended the two girls next to me since we'd be stuck together for a while, and I realized they were angels.
I even got to push down other people's stuff so I could make room for Danny and Alex to sit front row with my group since they were plat/dia but didn't get early convention access. At around 11:30am, I left with Stephen to go get food, and I really got to know his back story too. It was mainly just sitting around until 1:30pm when fromis_9 would make their appearance. During our wait, we all signed Alex's sign which he was going to try and hand off to a member during the concert.

Thank you so much for coming to KCON LA 2019. Starting from last year until now, listening to fromis_9′s songs or watching your videos have given me a lot of strength. That motivated me to teach myself a new language and inspired me to always be a better person than I was yesterday. I’ll always cheer you on and love you. Shall we be together until the very end? 1:30pm eventually came around and fromis_9 made their appearance. I recorded the entire segment here, front row and dead center :). I was shaking before they came out, but if I hadn't seen them as close as I did in Washington Square Park, I think I would have been shaking even more. Saerom walked out and waved at me, Jiheon walked out, saw my sign, gave me the same reaction as she did at the airport (lol), and I was able to get waves from all the other members (Nakyung, Jiwon, Jisun, Gyuri, and Chaeyoung for sure). Throughout their entire appearance, we were calling them by their nicknames during their downtime, flashing hearts at them, smiling, and these nine angels did the same back to us. At the end of the performance, I jumped out of my seat seeing if I could hi-five them, but Nakyung waved at me, Saerom waved at me, I asked Hayoung if she remembered me from New York (she did!), and told Gyuri she was beautiful for Ice (and for me because she's gorgeous). Honestly, the convention could have ended there, but we still had a concert to go afterwards. It was around 2pm and people wanted to go get food, but we heard Mamamoo was going to make an appearance at 2:50pm so we stood around waiting for 50 minutes. They showed up, I once again confirmed they were super short and everyone left to go get something to eat. I already ate earlier and had no plans of eating for the concert, so I actually broke off from the group to go to a panel.
I was definitely chasing idols this weekend but there were some panels I was interested in. The one I wanted to go to at 3:30pm was the "how to study/work in Korea", so I recharged by myself for around 30 minutes and went there.
I asked the presenter a ton of questions (she was super nice), and then left a bit early to join a few others at the Verivery fanclub meeting (we had nothing else to do).
I tried meeting up with the guy which I reserved a banner from, but I couldn't find him around the convention anywhere. It was around 5pm, so I left the convention once and for all and went back to my friend's hotel to wait until the GA concert queue up at 6pm. At this point, I was tired as hell and somewhat scared my phone battery was gonna die because I was at 44% (I used 20% to record the 25 min fromis_9 appearance). Luckily he had a charger so I got up to 55%. We just chatted about how excited for the concert we were and where we were gonna sprint to.
At 5:50pm, we left to the GA entrance and tried cutting in line, but got caught because some girl snitched on us lol. The first security guard told us "we should go to the right place in line" but just left, but then his supervisor was the actual person that kicked us out. We had to go through security and get three additional wristbands before we could actually start sprinting toward the stage. The 10/10 spot we wanted was taken, but I was really happy with the final spot we got because any closer and I wouldn't be able to see over the stage.
The concert was absolutely amazing. I was familiar with every group that was performing so there was almost no song where I wasn't super hype. Miroh lived up to the hype and I think the entire stadium was shaking and yelled stray kids together. I did the entire Fun! and Love RumPumPum fanchants so loud people in the pit pushed my forward to the barricade and the guy next to me offered to hold my camera so I could finish off Love Bomb (my recording). Seventeen was also insane, we got Good To Me (I don't think non carats knew the song that well but I lost my shit because I loved it way more than Home), Adore U, Clap, and the infamous Aju Nice (which was insane). I think the third encore was a little unnecessary, but we were all losing our shit because it was so fun.
During the encore stage, I was waving my Jiheon sign, and Chaeyoung walked over and saw it. She had to tap Megan for a solid 5 seconds before she also noticed but I was already super content because they had seen my signs three times (LAX, at beauty, and at the concert). Once we gathered together, we all jumped on Alex because Jiheon had taken the sign we all wrote messages on and then took a group picture.
We were all super shook outside, and I was kinda ready for my KCON experience to end here so even if they wanted to go out to eat, I was ready to Uber back to Cyn's and call it a night. I said my final good-byes to everyone (everyone got a super tight hug) and headed back.

I can’t believe I got to see fromis_9 twice in a year. I’ve been a pretty big fan of kpop since 2015, but I’ve never materialized this hobby until fromis_9 summoned me to KCON NY a month ago, and there was no way I wasn’t going to LA to see them again. I already had some regrets not going to LA last year and seeing how much fun they had in their behind the scenes videos, so I wanted a story of my own. So I guess my identity as a fan is really as a fromis_9/GFriend ult now, but I still refuse to pick a bias (I was probably asked like thirty times who my fromis_9/GFriend biases were this weekend...). They really are angels, and while it wasn’t perfect (no artist engagement, messed up some recording etc.), I’m still so happy I got to meet them.
On a side note, loona is amazing. They were so sweet in person, their performances were incredible, and that’s really a reminder that I need to go through the rest of their pre-debut tracks I haven’t listened to yet.
I also did some math and I’m pretty sure if you like the groups on both days, platinum is definitely worth it (diamond if your thing is touching all the artists, but it’s hard to get your full money’s worth giving how fast everything goes and how bad KCON is at announcing everything).
Platinum was 1121.48, and if the regular GA is 462.98, the convention ticket is 36, KCON rookies is 45, the random swag they give you is 50, and the hi-touches are around 141.50 on average (use the 9 numbers I quoted above with Chung Ha’s being $50), then that only leaves 294.50 on the cost of the ticket. That buys you a dedicated pit so you don’t have to camp out overnight, getting to cut all the AE/entrance lines, and getting into the convention early (probably more worth it for NY since it’s two days and stuff actually happens Saturday, getting in Friday for LA doesn’t matter much, but then you could just have the staff pass). To be honest, the peace of mind that buys already sounds worth it to me, so if the line up is good enough, I’d definitely go for plat if I could get my hands on it.
We also realized we had been spelling 플로버 and 프로버 the entire time (confused the spelling with 프로미 which doesn’t have the extra ㄹ). I realized what I wrote for fromis_9 in NY has a typo and I made the same typo in LA. I fixed it on the sign before Alex handed it off, but I take that as a humble reminder that I’m still a foreigner and need to study a lot harder. :’) All kpop memes aside, some people are here just to chase after idols, but in addition to being a fan, I’ve been trying to embrace a new culture and language along the way. I’m still working really hard on vocabulary right now, and I still have every intention to pass TOPIK 5 by next year.
I’m also so glad I went to KCON LA with a group. Going alone would have been a terrible idea because you’d have no inside scoop on what’s going on, no one to switch off spots with, and no one to hang out with during all the down time. I’m really thankful to how much the discord group helped me out this weekend. I’m sure we’ll meet again.

i didn’t know if i should do a first impressions for this game or not because to my knowledge only a chunk of the ace attorney fandom has actually played it but then remembered these are mostly for me anyways so whatever djgkfj. Hit the Keep Reading if you want to see me ramble about an archaeologist and a lawyer.
[Okay so a quick disclaimer i should get out of the way is that I’ve never played a Professor Layton game and I don’t like doing Courtroom segments at night so I just got to Phoenix and Maya]
The opening cutscene was really nice, Phoenix is a quarantine icon.
Luke??? Is so fucking cute. I have never seen a cuter little boy in my life, I would like to hug him please. What a sweet boy.
The animation is really good! And the voice acting for the Professor Layton characters are really nice. This is a given but i’ve never had a chance to actually bring is up but I ADORE the Professor Layton art style it’s s round and cute. goals.
I mentioned the voice acting for the Professor Layton characters was really good because it is, but boy howdy is Phoenix’s voice not that good rip. I can get past it because Trevor White is really good at capturing Phoenix’s vibe so far it’s not his fault he doesn’t sound anything like the voices he’s had before.
Maya’s voice is also not the best but I have too much respect for voice actors to go in depth about why i don’t like their performance. It’s also not Samantha Dakin’s fault that Maya’s voice is super inconsistent in the series. (this coming from the kid that hasn't gotten to Maya in SoJ yet making the only Maya voice she’s heard be from the anime.)
Going back to the animation (which is beautiful btw) I personally think this is my favorite depiction of Phoenix. The above screenshot isn’t a good example because of the lighting on the plane but his skin tone is closer to his skin tone in Apollo Justice which is nice because gdi i may be the palest person i know but i at least understand that you can’t just give a character darker skin one game and then turn around the next and make his skin tone lighter than it originally was, you have to commit to that shit capcom. Again above screenshot is not a good example but his facial features just look really nice in this style too.
3D models looks great! Except for Phoenix’s gdi this man just isn’t allowed to look good in a 3D environment. He’s so skinny rip Phoenix.
I’m not finding myself boredly waiting for the next Ace Attorney segment which is something I was really scared of, but the Professor Layton segments so far are really nice and charming, and again I fucking ADORE Luke. The puzzles are fun and charming and ngl I prefer this was of investigating over Ace Attorney’s. Though I do appreciate that Ace Attorney’s investigation segments have more flavor text.
Lastly I was sad because I saw Edgeworth’s concept art and then saw that in game he just has the same outfit he has in the trilogy so I was scared because I thought he was just going to be a tutorial character and then fuck ff for the rest of the game but at least to my understanding it seems Edgeworth is going to end up in Labyrinthia at some point and I think that’s wild I want to see this logic man end up in a world full of magic and if he doesn’t then my canon now. Also speaking of concept art I’m curious to see if that Phoenix concept art I was talking about actually happened or not but since I’ve convinced myself it didn’t i won’t be disappointed if it doesn’t.
Anyways I’m REALLY enjoying this so far I really hope I don’t fall in love with the black sheep of the series again but that seems to be my thing so whatever.

Jirou:
• Who asked who out first? - She asked you out first. She’s known she’s into girls for a long time and isn’t really ashamed of it or anything, but she will wait until you’re close friends to ask you out. She likes to feel out a person before pursuing a possible relationship. Once she’s comfortable she’ll approach the subject really casually, she doesn’t want to make things tense with her confession. That way if you agree everything’s great, but if you don’t you can continue being friends without issue.
• What was the first kiss like? - REALLY adorable. Jirou’s actually not that experienced in kissing, maybe one or two short flings that physically jumped the gun on her when she wasn’t ready to kiss them yet. She doesn’t kiss you or let you kiss her until you’re both feeling ready. And when you do, it’s tender and soft and loving. You first kiss is when you learn she wears cherry flavored lip balm, which you can’t help but laugh at since it seems to juxtapose her punk vibe. She’ll groan at you for ruining the moment, but give her another kiss and maybe you can save it.
• Ideal Dates - She’s a fan of more casual dates. Yknow, like locking up in one of your rooms and eating 3 whole pizzas as you marathon 80s films. Those are the dates you’ll typically have. If she’s wanting to do something a little more special though, she’d prefer to do something fun and active. Her favorites are dates at amusement parks and bowling rinks, since you can still laugh and talk but you’re also up and having fun. She hates dates that are too formal though. Fancy restaurants make her uncomfortable, and while she likes movies, she hates that she can’t talk to you during one at a theater. Dates with her are closer to hanging out together than actual structured dates.
Tsuyu:
• Who asked who out first? - You asked Tsuyu out first. Not that she didn’t like you already or anything like that, she’s just a busy girl with a lot on her plate to handle, so she never even considered asking you on a date. In fact, she’d probably already stated she liked you by the time you asked her out. She’d instantly agree though, commenting on how she’s never been on a date before and asking you if it’s really like all the movies and stuff depict. She appears calm while responding to you, but that’s just her natural behavior, on the inside she’s very excited to experience her first real date.
• What was the first kiss like? - STICKY. Frog saliva has a very different feel to it than human saliva. But seriously, it’s a little awkward for you because she clearly has no idea what she’s doing, but she’s doing it confidently and she seems so happy afterwards that you don’t have the heart to comment on it at that moment. It’s also a very early first kiss, like first date early. She just really wanted to experience what it was like and trusted you, so she simply told you what she wanted and went for it when you agreed. It’s not bad though. The kiss is very innocent and sweet, and it’s a good memory the two of you giggle at remembering later in the relationship.
• Ideal Dates - Cafe dates are really popular with her. She doesn’t particularly love incredibly noisy or crowded places, so many common date places aren’t really her scene. She’d much prefer to curl up on a couch with you in a little ma and pop run cafe with some hot chocolate and just chat. Shopping dates can be fun for her depending on how crowded the center is. Her favorite kind of dates are swimming dates in the summer though! Once the warm weather rolls around she’s always asking you to go to the beach or pool with her. The water is a very comfortable place for her, and she does have a SMALL fantasy about watching the sunset on the beach with you.
Izuku:
• Who asked who out first? - You ask Izuku out first. Good LORD have you met this boy? He’s much too much of a nervous nellie to ask a girl her likes on a date. You could probably tell him to his face that you want to date him and he’d still have fears of you saying no if he asked you out. Make it easier on the both of you and just do it for him. He’ll be much more relieved, your relationship can begin much sooner than it would if you waited, everyone is significantly happier this way.
• What was the first kiss like? - You and Izuku have very different opinions on what your first kiss was. Izuku claims it to have happened on your third date when he was escorting you back to your home. The reality is Izuku shakily leaned in close enough to brush his bottom lip against your chin (which he didn’t notice was your chin because his eyes were closed so tight) and then bolted away faster than you could tell him your lips were up here. Your real first kiss happened on the date after that, when he moved to do the same thing and you just caught him by the tie and planted a good, soft kiss on him. He nearly fainted.
• Ideal Dates - He looooves movie dates! Watching movies are one of Izuku’s favorite pastimes, and he has fun planning which films coming out the two of you are going to go see together. He also really likes cuddling with you in the theater, he was so IMMENSELY proud of himself when he finally gained the courage to do the “yawn and wrap the arm around the shoulder” trick. Picnics in the park are always nice as well. He always thinks you look absolutely radiant in the mid-afternoon sun! Other than that, Izuku is happy to do with at home dates of watching shows together on Netflix and such, it’s not hard to please this boy date-wise.

• Who asked who out first? - You asked him out first. Shouji is a guy who never really focuses on material needs or wants, and he sort of places romantic relationships in this category (though he certainly does not view people as materials). More he just finds it unnecessary, so he doesn’t focus on it or seek it out. That doesn’t mean he’s averse to dating if you ask, though! He’s a very sweet boy, so even if he’s never considered whether or not his feelings for you were romantic, he’ll agree if just to make you happy since he definitely considers you a friend. You’ll have to ask him on multiple dates though for the gears to really turn in his head that you want a full on relationship, and it’ll take some time for him to warm up to the idea.
• What was the first kiss like? - Girl, get ready to wait a LONG ASS TIME to have your first kiss with this boy. Step one, the dating period where he doesn’t even get you want to pursue a relationship. Step two, allow him to get used to the idea of a relationship. Step three, be in a relationship with him for a SOLID amount of time (like 6 months) and then MAYBE he’ll kiss you. With a mouth on his tentacle, only on his face mouth if everything so far has gone EXTREMELY well. And even then it is very short and to the point. Shouji is a boy that likes to move at his own pace…
• Ideal Dates - Shouji doesn’t fully “get” dating. He likes hanging out with you, but he doesn’t get what separates a date from simply chilling with you. What’s the difference? Because of this he doesn’t exactly have an “ideal date,” but like Tsuyu, he prefers to avoid largely crowded and loud places. He enjoys going on late night walks with you or just hanging out together and doing your own things as you chat. Very casual to the point where you sometimes ask if this is really a date. He always asks what makes this any less a date than going to a out somewhere. You’re together, enjoying each other’s company, and possibly learning more about each other. You never really have an answer to give, so you just shrug it off and enjoy being with him.

It was my first year of high school/secondary school. I don’t necessarily keep a journal or anything. But on my phone I like to go into my notes and write poems and stuff. Nothing too fancy or post worthy though.

I love light coloured eyes tbh. Seeing as mine are brown. I adore blue and green. But blue is my 100% favorite.

Uhhh, I remember one time we got super drunk at a friends house. We were playing fuck the dealer. Where like you had to guess the card on hand. (My 3 A.M. stories are usually just drinking or drug related so. Lol)

Tumblr :) hi. It is I. I am feeling so good right now. Honestly, you guys don't even know. My life is so wonderful and beautiful atm and I am so appreciative of everything that is going on. Similarly? I'm also appreciative of everything that has happened to me in the past. All the shit that I went through?? Allllllll the shit?? I am genuinely grateful for it. And beyond that I am so grateful to myself that I wrote it, here, and I have it, forever. It's an unreal experience to go back to 2013 and read my posts. It would be impossible for me to remember how truly awful that time was for me without my writing. I read some of the things that I wrote about myself and the people around me and I feel like crying. I hated myself so much. An extraordinary amount. If I ever wrote something positive about myself or something good that had happened to me/I had done, I would immediately follow it up with something incredibly self-deprecating and negative. I don't write or think that way anymore. There was a time in my life where every single good thing was drowned out by twenty bad things and I don't believe I can be a full person when that is happening. It breaks my heart when I see it in other people. Because I was so there and I have long, rambling posts about being there. About the doubt and the questioning and the utter lack of confidence. Posts that identify it to be nothing more than my normalcy. The only existence I had ever experienced. Things are so different for me now. I don't question the words that come out of my mouth or my belief in myself. I was looking through my old photosets and all of the captions were something like "I know I look ugly but I wanted to show this outfit" or "I look bad but the person next to me looks so cute". Something like that. And in reality??? I was cute af!!! Like in a 15/16 year old way like I look young but I slayed!!! And now? I know I look good. I know that I'm cute and fun and interesting. Which is something that is reflected in my prose and my captions and even my hashtags. I think that is really exciting. It's very interesting for me to go back through the 5(!!!!!) years I have been writing and see such huge development. In 2013? Cha girl was a huge mess. By 2015 I was just beginning to become who I am right now. That's when I see it happen. And I don't know why or what caused that growth to start, I'm sure I could find it if I read through everything closely enough, but I am so glad for it. To be able to pinpoint each stage of development and understand why is important. I think that it encourages me to continue to develop and strive to better to myself and to other people. To be excited about the things I am doing and saying and experiencing. That's rad af. I honestly am so hyped for the next five years. And the five years after that. So on and so forth for the rest of time. I'm going to kill it. Life is going to be my bitch. Lowkey it already is. I've been thinking a lot about my lifestyle and the lifestyle I will have in the future. And I've been thinking about the idea of being a multi-millionaire, right? Like that's the goal. CEO of US Bank, ultra successful, ultra rich. But?? I also don't see myself ever needing or even wanting that sort of lavish luxurious lifestyle that often comes with the money. I mean, I'm the happiest I've ever been and also (almost) the poorest I've ever been. Technically, I live below the poverty line, right? But I don't feel like I lack anything in my life. I eat well and I have enough to get everything that I could need. My apartment is kinda a shithole but it's my shithole and I make it work. It's cute. I know, from experience, that money doesn't bring happiness. I lived that lifestyle that is so over the top and unreal. Thousands of dollars in clothes was a casual shopping trip to the mall. Brand name everything. And??? I was miserable. Not directly because of the money, like there was obviously a lot of shit going on but I can confidently say that the shit was no better or worse because of the money. It did nothing for me, for us. Obviously having your needs met is incredibly important, having housing and food and clothing, the basics, is necessary for happiness. I know that too. There was a time in my life where, for almost a full year, I couldn't afford to have my needs met. And I'm glad I experienced that. At the time I genuinely thought I was going to die but I didn't and now I know where the middle ground (?) is for that stuff. I think it is an important experience to understand. I want to be CEO of US Bank because that is what I want to do. Not because it comes with a salary that I want to have. I truly hope for my future self that I remember all of the stuff that I am reading about and thinking about right now and that when I am there, I do everything that I want to do now. It feels so distant to me that it becomes a fantasy and in my fantasy it is easy for me to do the sorts of things I think I'd do. It's easy to say "Oh yea when I'm there? I'd want to give money from my salary back to the company so that people can get more than 5 grand a year for college tuition help". I'd love to give people the opportunity to go to school whenever they want to do that. And I think it would be especially meaningful to do it for my company and my employees. I really like that a lot. I also think college is hella important and learning how to be a lifelong learner is a skill that I would love to emphasize in my company. I would love to be able to present more opportunity for people who are just starting out. "Oh, you're a teller right now but you are interested in marketing??" That's awesome. I'd never want to limit financial aid to certain degrees or interests. Like I know that to get financial aid from US Bank (which is awesome that they offer it at all, honestly), I'd have to major in business or econ. Which I want to anyway because it is personally interesting to me and my career but I'd like to see more diversity in my company, if I were running it. I know, that at least in some ways, when I'm there things will be different. Maybe after I have an MBA or whatever I'll understand more that I can't offer help to creative/arts majors. I don't know. I would like to think that I'll remain a similar person though. That would be cool. Goldman Sachs is replacing their CEO right now. And a lot of people seem to be kinda shitting all over David Solomon (the new CEO) but honestly? I'm really into him being the CEO. He's an interesting guy with a background in investment banking, which is new for Goldman Sachs. Their thing really has been trading and their last CEO had his background in trading. Solomon also has a musical career on the side, which he still pursues. A CEO that moonlights as a DJ. A CEO with an album on Spotify. That is so cool to me. The idea that a person can have a really intense, high power, heavy responsibility job, and also pursue his or her creative interests is exciting. I feel like that is something new. I sometimes will hear people say that my blog or my raps or my pictures that I share with the world will limit my ability to become everything that I want to be but now?? I can look those people in the face and say "see?". Being a passionate, well rounded person is never limiting. It is something to embrace and celebrate. I love it. Also!!! There is a guy running for congress in the 19th district in NY and lowkey??? Kinda in love with him. He's young and cool and interesting and so incredibly intelligent. And he used to be a rapper! Full ass political rapper. It's so cool. That's amazing to me. To be able to express across multiple platforms is a skill I value. His opponent is trying to say that his raps demonstrate that he isn't serious enough or that he isn't refined enough to be a congressman but guess what? His opponent is down in the polls. Dude's gonna take the seat and I'm so excited to see what he does and follow his political career. People are so cool and people are out there doing so many cool things all at the same time. I want to be that person. I'm on my way to being that person. I'm a banker and a rapper and a poet and a writer. I'm an artist who knows a whole lot about finances. It's awesome. I think it's cool. Umm my personal life is good right now too. Zach and I made up which! I know I said all that stuff about my friends but ultimately I can not stay mad at them. I love my friends and I probably always will. It doesn't matter if we are in different places or doing different things, I love them. That's it. I'm really glad that I saw Zach again and things are good. I went to one of his film shoots and I always think it's really beautiful watching Zach make a film. He's a good director and I genuinely believe that with the right team and the right equipment Zach could make something amazing. I've also been kinda seeing this guy? More consistently than the others at least. I go on a lot of dates with a lot of guys and Ben likes to make fun of me for it like "who is the flavor of the week?" But I do think it is important for me to explore different things and different people and at least get to know them. I'm not sleeping with them or tryna be serious with them like it's all very casual and fun and interesting. I'm collecting a lot of stories and characters and building relationships with my community. So. Whatever, Benadryl. I know what I'm doing. But anyway. I've stopped that over the last week or so and have been focusing more on one person which is a lot more comfortable for me. I enjoy that more, I'm ngl. It's been a lot of late nights and long talks and conversation I can appreciate. Focusing energy on developing one thing is very different. It creates a different kind of intimacy with a person. One that I like. Um. So yes. That is good. I think. I'm going to be honest with you rn, Tumblr. I'm scared. And I so badly want to be that fearless bitch that I was in my last post like "What is heartbreak to me?" Like, fuck it, I don't care about anything. I embrace the sadness. But it's a scary thing. It just is and as much as I can appreciate it and say that I do value the beauty in it, I don't wanna feel that way. Ben is leaving and that is enough sadness in my life currently. I'm going to miss tf out of him. The bank is going to be so different. Sad face. Benadryl. Sad face. So the idea of beginning something new and something that I actually give two shits about is extremely daunting. But. Who knows. Life is going to happen whether I want it to or not at this point. Luckily for me, most of the time I want it to. The only thing that has been bothering me recently is my health? I got over the whole throat issue and I can breathe again which is a gd miracle but now I'm having other issues. And I feel like it's something different every week. Like this week? I literally haven't been eating. I can't eat for shit this week. I'm so nauseous all of the time. It's super annoying. Even water or tea makes me feel sick. I believe it is my anxiety because it usually presents itself in that way physically and I also believe I know exactly what I'm feeling anxiety about but! It's still super upsetting. Um and then just other really dumb stuff like my back hurts like a bitch 90% of the time or I'll have these major headaches for weeks straight and even with advil they won't go away. Or I'll have nightmares or I won't sleep. I should be tired right now. I was up until 4:30 in the morning last night and I was up at 7. But I tried to sleep after work and I slept for about 30 minutes and woke up in a full ass panic attack. And then I thought I saw a lady bug crawling on me?? Which I'm not sure if that was real or not but it freaked me tf out. First of all, why would a lady bug be in my apartment? And secondly? That lady bug looked me dead in my eyes as it crawled up my arm and it scared the living shit out of me. Why was I scared of a ladybug? Lord knows. But I certainly was. That lady bug, which likely was not real, was evil I s2g. And that about sums up my relationship with sleep atm. Not good. I want to sleep and I want to be on top of everything and I want to have the real energy that comes from being rested and feeling healthy. I don't know what is going on. It does concern me. So. Ok. I guess that is all for now. Imma go watch Queer Eye because that show gives me so much happiness, y'all don't even know. It is the cutest shit. Every episode I'm like, no way is another one gonna make me want to cry or laugh or whatever and then?? I feel all of those emotions. Incredible. Honestly I'm not a huge fan of reality TV but that one?? Good af. 10/10 would recommend. Also, I don’t have the energy to proofread this, which I usually do, so I’m sure it’s riddled with mistakes.
