MLP Rewrite AU - Forgotten Friendship (if you didn't do it already)
OKAY SO UH
I absolutely rewrote this as a whole Thing in the universe and a chunk of things got changed so let's go over those before I get deep into the actual rewrite
1.) I had a separate fic in the AU where Sunset went back to Equestria and talked to Celestia already. Though it /was/ unfinished I remember most of my plans for it? So I skipped that here.
2.) Clover and the Memory Stone..... Clover already had completely different Lore surrounding her, both in-canon and thanks to my 'Hearth's Warming Cover Up' conspiracy theory, and the Memory Stone gave me a plothole headache. So I scrapped both.
3.) I made Wallflower's motivations a touch more relatable and out of her control.
4.) Unfortunately no Trixie in this but I've had fun with her elsewhere and should probably write her into something else lmao
SO ANYWAY
When Sunset gets to the beach and realizes no one remembers her having become their friend, she does manage to out-logic them. Pointing out inconsistencies and where they /should/ remember her being there because, looking into their memory, she's just erased out but not replaced well.
The biggest one being asking how they contacted Twilight when the Sirens were causing problems. The group pauses for a moment, but realizes that there was a journal but they can't remember where they got it. Sunset pulls out said journal, which gets them to listen a bit more.
She asks what they remember about the friendship games, to which Sci-Twi mentions remembering Sunset yelling at her for disrupting the games with portals. She says that it was harsh, but considering the whole event could've hurt her since it knocked her off the motorbike she understands in hindsight.
The rest of the group are like 'wait, what?' because they don't remember Sunset being in the games and couldn't fathom 'mean bully Sunset' being part of the games with them. But when asked who was paired with Rainbow for the motocross portion of the games, no one remembers. Except Sci-Twi, who says it was Sunset.
Sunset tests this and prompts further with- okay so I had a Thing™ in my rewrites that in the previous school year Pinkie and Sunset had been in the school play together. So as an inside joke they casually quote their lines at one another. Sunset kicks the habit off, reciting one of her lines. Pinkie answers, but stops. Her mind trying to remember, but all she can see is herself alone on stage, reading lines to no one.
Pinkie is Not Handling This Well™ and has dropped into straight hair mode and is hugging the fuck out of Sunset at this point. She forgot a friend! How dare she forget a friend?!
She asks them about after the games, because I had a fic re: finding Sunset's Human counterpart. And they remember her, but why would they look for her without prompting from their Sunset?
Sunset tests how far this goes by calling Flash. Just to see if it's an 'everyone' or a 'just the main characters' thing. He also doesn't remember making up with her. But with a little prompting of 'who gave you a sword for Christmas'(long story lmao), she gets him to listen. And he thinks about it more and says he remembers everything from when they 'broke up' and were fighting, but nothing about their friendship before that. Even though they would've been friends and hanging out before the 'break up', right?
Okay I'm going on a tangent trying to set up how the memory thing works lmao but anyway
The Rainbooms decide that they need more help than this and decide to talk to Princess Twilight about it. This includes everyone going through the portal because they're freaked and paranoid they'll forget again! (will be using 'Twilight' for pony and Sci-Twi for Human for now)
After some shenanigans of most of them getting used to Horse Mode™, Twilight does some prodding and questioning and experimenting. She actually /does/ know a spell that might cause this, but it's one she's not an expert on. Thankfully she can just do a quick teleport across town and grab someone who knows the spell a lot more.
Rarity my darling it's time for you to shine!
After quickly updating her, Twilight suggests that it may be the spell she used on the chandelier. Which Rairty agrees.
She elaborates, saying she had found the spell in a book up in the Crystal Empire. Technically it's a Crystal Pony spell, but Unicorns can replicate other Magics.
Anyway: The spell is used to copy a memory into a gemstone. She used this to make the tree root chandelier that's in the Castle of Friendship. There was a chunk of trial and error as she got the spell right. She gives examples of what went wrong, like her initial trials on Rainbow volunteering 'erase my memory of the Daring Do books so I can read them for the first time again'. Sometimes it erased her memory of the books, sometimes it erased her memory of the pony. The spell is even specific enough to differentiate different 'versions' of someone, such as 'Twilight as a Unicorn' vs. 'Twilight as an Alicorn'.
Now, the spell isn't /supposed/ to erase memories, just make a copy. But it can fuck up and erase. And unfortunately, Rarity can't reverse the spell without having whatever gemstone holds the memories.
Ofc this means they have to figure out who did this! Clearly since more Humans are getting their Pony Magics, it should be a counterpart to a Unicorn or Crystal Pony. They just have to figure out who. Rarity muses that, as the spell is an incomplete version, it's likely they tested it out and had it backfire on them a lot. Backfired spells can cause low-energy and even some pain, but also it means the person may have accidentally erased memories of themselves.
They go back to the Human World, leaving Twilight and Rarity in Equestria and keeping them updated in case something goes wrong, and decide to flip through the previous year's yearbook to look for someone they don't remember. Pinkie eventually points out Wallflower, and everyone knows that Pinkie's memory for people is very good so if she doesn't remember....
They lure Wallflower to the school gardens, and Sunset does the memory dive to look into it. She sees that Wallflower had been accidentally activating the spell, erasing herself from people's memory. Had been getting more and more hurt from the unfinished spell. But since she didn't know how to fix it, why not use it?
This causes a bit of a fight because Sunset's like 'the FUCK do you have against me?!' and Wallflower yells back about how it's unfair that someone like Sunset can just 'be nice' after so much meanness and get super popular while people like Wallflower who were always nice get entirely forgotten.
Pinkie calls her out on this of like 'hey! I consider you a friend why not come to me!'. Wallflower is very cynical on this because Pinkie considers everyone a friend but there's no way in hell she knows /everyone/ as intimately as a friend should. Which, yeah, Pinkie can do some wild shit but there's people she's closer to than others. But she's always open to being closer to someone! Or to helping someone out, including helping them find someone they may find a true friendship in! Wallflower still could've come to her!
Wallflower is starting to see that she fucked up, but she can't return their memories of Sunset. She doesn't know how. So she does the one thing she thinks she can do, give them a fresh start!
Ofc Sunset tries to block this and gets hit and. well.
It erased memory of the 'Human-esque' Sunset. Which means, as far as Sunset's aware, she just ran through the portal after her fight with Celestia and is mid-breakdown.
Not a fun experience!
Sunset has no idea what's going on. All the others are mad at Wallflower. They try to fix it and explain that there should be a gemstone. Wallflower offers her necklace but.... there's nothing in it. No memories, no Magic whatsoever.
Sunset is VERY confused but trying to help. the others are getting more upset and worried because 'oh shit she doesn't remember jack shit of the last six years and we still don't know how to fix it!!
But since they tell Wallflower to stop zapping everyone goddamn it they drag the Pony!Twilight and Rarity over to try and fix this shit.
Wallflower: "Oh god I'm sorry I don't deserve friends after all I've done how could anyone ever forgive the awful things I did???"
The Rainbooms+2: "Well. You didn't try destroying the world so you're really not even in the top 10 of wildest people we've befriended. Also we may have a Problem™."
Anyway! Rarity manages to figure out what crystal the Memories are hiding in! They're hiding in Wallflower herself. Crystal Pony bodies mimic crystals/gems so they can do the same thing.
Now knowing where the Memories are, Rarity can channel the spell and return the memories to where they should be.
Sunset and Wallflower get to talk for a bit about Hey That Was Fucked™.
But also like. Sunset knows what it's like to be alone. She left her home when she was still a kid, and wound up in a whole other dimension. One where, even if she makes some friends, she could never fully befirend them because she couldn't tell them /what/ exactly she was. It's different now, but she'd faced that before. She knows lonliness.
And Wallflower feels guilty because she never really put together how alone Sunset was. Thought she'd just skated by so easily in the friends department.
And Sunset helps her realize that there's more to friendship than just kindness. Being nice helps, of course. But you need to reach out. You need to put in an effort.
But at the same time, everyone you meet holds the potential to become your best friend.

epithet erased: prison of plastic thoughts (spoilers)
finished the book! and before i go look at what everyone else thought, here's what i thought. negatives first, then positives.
NEGATIVES
brendan blaber really is a visual storyteller and you can tell reading this. if i read this again i'm making a drinking game out of every time he says someone was acting "like" someone else. 2 shots if it's doing something like a little kid
"also, there's just spontaneous dramatic exposition in places there really shouldn't be. someone should explain "show don't tell" to this guy because he'd randomly cut to paragraphs of a character's serious backstory with how exactly they reacted and felt and why, and it could get pretty awkward and borderline insulting.
I definitely liked Rick Shades more towards the end, but why was his whole character gimmick that he seems like a really creepy guy preying on tween girls, but actually he isn't? Like. I'm glad he does have good intentions, but having to sit through chapters of not knowing that was kinda rough and anxiety-inducing.
Also, the whole "isolated community with its own race of people barely represented in the mainstream society is really barbaric and people need to escape it and join mainstream society" rings some warning bells for me.
Also, while I liked Rick Shades more towards the end, I really do think it was a wasted opportunity having him along on the adventure instead of Sylvie (or Percy). It would've been interesting to examine Molly and Sylvie's parallel but different adult mentalities and actions, while not having to dive into the extremely fantastically-horrible situation Rick had going on.
POSITIVES
not that the rest of this book sucked, cause it was pretty good, but the rest of this book could've completely sucked and i still would've loved it for giovanni "kidnapping" molly at the end
i really liked lorelai's characterization. while her being boy crazy was mentioned a bit too often for me, her latching onto giovanni as someone who actually appreciates her creations was cute, and i like how her whole concept is of someone just completely unwilling to face reality and resenting anyone who tried to make her. this might've been annoying had it been an adult character, but since she was 14-15 when her mom died, this makes total sense and i dig it. the realization that she didn't know if she killed her mom and was going to such lengths to avoid considering it was genius
Molly was also done really well. I liked how she was very understandable but not perfect either. She doesn't appreciate her sister's creations or understand what her sister is trying to do at all, but she's got bigger stuff on her plate and you can't help but feel for her the whole time. (again tho, way too much exposition on how she thinks everything is her job. did not have to spell that out so many times for the readers)
giovanni being completely clueless almost the entire time was hilarious
trixie and feenie were pretty cute
martin blyndeff is written wonderfully. he's a horrible guy but he's genial enough that he can trick himself into thinking he's the good guy. good foil to lorelai
the worldbuilding was great
i loved how it was a magical story that focused on how these two girls cope with a horrible situation. i love that blend of magical and non-magical problems

hi cate! this question is kinda weird but what names do you think spencer would give his kids? i always thought he would name after a book character or a someone important to him
~ 🍰
oo i have been thinking about this for way too long and this made me feel like that one tiktok-er who predicts baby names for famous people so we're going to do it her way because i literally love her videos so much
here are the criteria:
most important here is the fact his last name is Reid which is one syllable. now, my last name is also one syllable and i can't think of anyone who hasn't married into the family that has a one-syllable first name. but why is this important? because one-syllable first names sound strange (imo) with one-syllable last names so i think spencer's kids would all have to have two or more syllable first names. the last name factor is also why i'm ruling out names that end in an 'ed' sound so the kid's names don't end in the same sound
not super super popular names. since we're going off the vibe of spencer's name which is at 315 for boys in the USA last year but it's still a name that's not odd to hear. i think preferably in the range of #100-1000
the out-there factor is a big one. spencer's not going to be calling his kids anything like mackinsleigh, anything southern like sally-kate or anything that's a noun like 'brown couch'
boys names as girls names and last names as first names. i don't really have a reason for this but i think both are just his vibe.
old money/preppy because that's kind of the vibe he gives off and it's also the vibe his name gives off. although, i'm not going to rule out a nature/indie name
book character names !! great minds think alike and i agree with you completely on this
names with nicknames, but not names that are nicknames. because i think way back when JJ started calling him Spence he felt like he fit in but i think he would want his children to have names that suit them when they're adults
Another thing we have to address is the BAU naming and god-parenting rules. i personally think his kid sharing a nickname with one of the team members is better than just straight up sharing a first name
girls names: (because he's a girl dad™)
Matilda this is the front runner for sure and it ticks lots of boxes. obviously, it's a very famous book character name who loves reading and could visually be spencer's child. it's got enough syllables, it ranks at 466 in the US, it's preppy and Tillie or Mattie are such cute nicknames
Beatrice off the top of my head, there's the Shakespeare and asoue character. common but not too common and Bea or Trixie are cute nicknames
Eleanor edging into too-popular territory but the advantage it has is that her nickname could be Elle like former BAU team member Elle
Maisie maybe it's too nickname-y since most of the other names are fuller, but it's a very cute name, it's popular enough and it's in lots of literature so it makes the list
Madeline popular enough, literature references, a very 'full' adult name with lots of nicknames
Attie hmm, so it sounds too nickname-y but Scout is only one syllable and attie would be short from atticus who's also from tkamb. it's on the rare side but it's not too obscure
Tatum a surname as a first name which is also traditionally a boy's name and it's got the right popularity and it's old money
Payton/Peyton old money but still preppy, unisex and popular-ish
Sawyer not my personal favorite but it's a traditional boy's name with the right popularity ranking and it's preppy so it makes the list
Elliotte differing spelling from the boy's version on purpose and its preppy
Aspen I've been saying this for so long but Aspen has Pen or Penny as a middle name which would be an ode to Penelope
Darcy it's both bookish, a surname as a first name and a boy's name as a girl's name
Sloane mostly because it's a personal fave but i think it would be cute
Violet another name matching a literary character's that I think would be a good fit
Poppy or Pippa grouped together because I've got the same thing to say about them. they're kind of nickname-y as first names but I could still see him calling his daughter either one
Eden oddly biblical but it's a really pretty name and I think it sounds good with Reid as a last name
Zara or Zoe same vibe, both sort of popular and both cute
Morgan points because it's both a unisex name and a surname that would also repay Derek Morgan for naming his son after Spencer without actually calling his kid Derek
Mabel it's just got the same vibe as Spencer
boys names (which are so much harder)
Atticus maybe a little too directly related to the character but it's got the preppy and literature vibe
Ethan both for his friend and for the son Alex Blake lost and i think it's something Spencer would use to honor them
Hugo it's got the literature references and it literally means 'intellect' like what could be more fitting?
Louis pronounced the correct way (loo-ee not loo-is)
Milo it's in lots of books and i think it's a really sweet name
Lennon here's my out-of-left-field pick but it's a last name (obviously) as a first name and i don't think it's too weird but i could be wrong
Aaron i'm here to break the rules I created... but i think Aaron rather than Dave, Luke, Matt, or Derek because Spencer very rarely calls Hotch by his first name and imo it's a much nicer name
Bennett/Beckham they're other preppy baby names that are surnames as well and they have nicknames as well
Mason i think it's a surname? but it fits the vibe
if you have any ideas, lmk and I'll add them to the list !!

Somebody That I Used to Know Ch.2
Apparently I write Skyrim fanfiction now, I don't make the rules. Don't blame me, blame whatever cosmic force made me a gay nerd. Aria, (the Dragonborn), has a brush with death and realizes things. And yes, the Chapter title is from the Fleetwood Mac song, I couldn't help myself.
Landslide
In hindsight, going out to clear the bandit cave alone wasn't Aria's best idea.
In fact, she would say it probably ranks as one of her worst ideas.
To be fair, the bandit cave would have been simple enough to take care of on her own. The necromancers that were also hiding out in the cave, however, were a problem.
Then there was the frost dragon that flew over head as soon as she exited the cave - still wincing from the taste of her last healing potion. Normally, she would just cast a healing spell and call it a day; but she's not exactly been sleeping well as of late, and as a result, her magic was a little on the fritz.
In all honesty, she probably could have handled the dragon without too much of an issue.
Unfortunately though, the commotion from the dragon brought out a frost troll and a giant. And of course, Trixie - Aria's horse, had to turn into a little scaredy cat and run away at the first sign of danger. It was pathetic, really, couldn't the dragonborn at least get a horse that wasn't scared of well, dragons?
Luckily, the giant was more concerned with dragon than Aria, and she was more than happy to let him take the brunt of the dragon's freezing breath. The troll was another problem altogether, but Aria made quick work of him with her sword, thankful that she'd thought to charge it up with soul gems before leaving the cave.
Then it was just the dragon and Aria, and as she stared up at the scaly beast, her left arm clutched painfully to her chest and her right sagging under the weight of her sword; she couldn't help but wish the greybeards had taught her the shout for "Hey! Please don't kill me! I've had a really bad day and I'm really tired and can't we just call this a truce?"
But of course the greybeards would never teach her something as useful as that, although she did file it away as a question to ask Parthanaax the next time she saw him.
If she ever saw him again.
Right now, her chances weren't looking so good.
There she stood, on the side of the mountain, Dovahkiin versus Dovah.
Aria was out.
She was out of potions, out of time, out of hope, and even out of magic - the last of which had burnt her fingertips as she sent flames toward the dragon.
The only thing that she might have left - because she certainly hadn't had any earlier - was luck.
With a grunt, she grabbed the right shoulder of her cuirass with her left hand; pulling the wounded appendage up and hopefully out of the way. Then, with a prayer to Nocturnal still on her lips, she hauled her sword up to attack position and charged.
She shouted as she ran - not a dragon shout; just a regular, human shout - the last of her strength launching her into a jump as her ebony blade sliced in between the dragon's scales and pierced the flesh beneath.
It wasn't her cleanest kill, but it got the job done, the mighty beast giving one final sigh as it collapsed; its life force a glowing swirl of wind that swept over Aria and filled her briefly with familiar warmth. She shuddered, stabbing her blade into the blood spattered snow and letting it take some of her weight.
Fuck.
She makes a mental note to leave a little something extra at Nocturnal's altar the next time she visits.
With a half lidded gaze, she eyes the dragon's remains, but not even the promise of gold and a few precious stones can tempt her enough to sift through the rubble in front of her.
After a few long moments, she pushes herself upright and pulls her sword from the ground to re-sheathe it. Her body trembles with the effort of drawing in gulps of the frigid mountain air, and she can feel her hands shaking from the leftover adrenaline coursing through her system. Grimacing, she starts the path down the side of the mountain. She's not a hundred percent sure where she is, but the sunlight is starting to fade to orange on the horizon and she knows she can't stay here.
She makes it maybe half a dozen steps before her legs give out and she tumbles head first down the slope. Luckily, all of her combat training leads her to instinctively tuck and roll, and she avoids face planting into some very sharp looking rocks before barrel rolling down the worn path. Eventually the path curves and she doesn't, her body slamming into a tree trunk. The impact sends snow falling down on her from the canopy of branches and she finally allows her self to collapse in defeat.
Aria doesn't think about death a lot.
Probably not nearly as much as she should considering how often she dares to spit it in its face.
Out of all of the times she's thought about dying, she definitely never imagined it would happen like this.
She always assumed that death would come for her suddenly, in some dramatic way that would at least warrant the bards writing a song or two about her. She certainly never thought she would die alone, buried under the snow where she would be lucky if someone found her body come next spring.
She shakes her head at the irony, thinking back to all the times she'd almost met death.
There was that time in Helgen, when the executioner's blade was only seconds away from connecting with her neck.
That was a close one.
There were several times on the battlefield that she had danced with a Stormcloak's blade a little too close for comfort.
Then of course, most recently, when she and the Dawnguard had laid siege to Castle Volkihar and the vampire lord Harkon had tried his damndest to kill her.
"You will not touch her!"
The memory of Serana's bold promise sends a rush of warmth through her freezing body.
Serana.
Gods, how she misses Serana.
Snow begins to fall earnestly around her, and the cold flakes on her eyelashes tempt her tired eyes to close. She's awake, but barely; long, slow blinks eventually coming faster and faster until her eyes are more closed than open.
She's tired, so tired.
The ground is much more comfortable than standing; in fact the snow makes a nice cushion for her bruised and battered body.
The snow is even a good insulator, and she feels almost warm nestled in the snow and the leaves.
She lets her eyes close.
"You're not warm, idiot, you're freezing to death."
Her eyes fly open and she sits up, eyes locking with the woman kneeling in front of her.
"Serana?" Aria whispers, her raw throat rebelling against the action.
"That's my name, or at least it was last time I checked." Serana shrugs. "It has been a couple hundred years."
"What . . . what are you doing here?"
"Well, I was enjoying a nice nap and then some idiot decided to open the monolith I was locked in, and now I'm here." Serana's grin offsets her name calling. "Or do you mean what am I doing on this mountain right now?"
"The -" Aria licks her lips. "The second one."
"You think I'm just going to let you die out here in the middle of nowhere without you even telling me how you feel about me?"
Maybe it's the blood loss, or maybe rolling into that tree trunk gave her a concussion, but something isn't adding up for Aria.
"How . . . how do I feel about you?"
"You're in love with me, evidently, isn't it painfully obvious?"
Aria lets herself fall back into the snow; overwhelmed and a little dizzy at Serana's words.
Of course she loves Serana.
Who wouldn't love Serana?
Serana is kind and beautiful and a badass, and - okay the necromancy shit is a little weird and scary and sometimes Aria mistakes Serana's undead helpers for bad guys - but yeah, she loves Serana.
Is she in love with Serana?
She thinks back to all of her memories of the vampire turned human, letting them play over and over in her head; from the time she first fell out of the crypt to the last time they'd barely spoken at Fort Dawnguard.
Fuck.
She's definitely in love with Serana.
She stares up at the sky, the setting sun casting prisms through the tree branches.
But then, Serana's face is looming over her, taking up her field of vision.
Gods, she wants to reach up and touch her, to feel her skin underneath her fingertips, but her limbs refuse to listen to her commands.
She settles for talking instead.
"How . . . how did you know?"
"Because." Serana's face blurs above her. "I'm your subconscious. I know everything about you."
The blur of Serana's face shimmers before disappearing completely, and Aria once again feels the coldness settling over her. She closes her eyes, feeling the snow as it lands on her face, slowly burying her alive.
The world is black and cold and . . . empty.
Except for . . . a sound . . . like someone sniffling.
And there's a feeling, of something pinching her scalp, tugging relentlessly at her hair.
Slowly, she opens her eyes to see Trixie snuffling at her face, lipping her hair, one hoof pawing restlessly at the ground.
Most of the time, the horse was good for nothing; but sometimes . . .
Aria uses her good arm and rolls to her side before pushing up onto her knees. Serana might not be here, but she's somewhere, and Aria has to tell her how she feels. She needs to confess herself to Serana more than she's ever needed anything in her entire life - which is saying something, because Aria once trekked all the way from Whiterun to the Inn in Riverwood just to get a proper sweet roll.
She takes a moment to gather herself before she grips Trixie's harness with her right hand, using the steed for balance as she pulls herself up to a standing position. Wobbling, she takes a moment to trace a gloved hand down between Trixie's eyes, softly praising her for her rescue.
Better late than never.
Slowly, she maneuvers her grip to the horn of the saddle before seating her foot solidly in the stirrup and hauling herself up. It takes everything she's got, but she's determined; the echo of Serana's voice encouraging her. Once she's settled on Trixie, she urges the horse forward with her heels. It's too dark to read a map, even if she could focus her mind to make heads or tails of it, so she prays to any god that might be listening that Trixie can at least find a path that takes them somewhere safe.

Starlight Glimmer and the Legion of Doom:
Cozy Glow - Element of Dishonesty
During the events of 'School Raze', Cozt manipulates the other students and Chancellor Neighsat to turn on the Young Six who stood in her way to take over the school, and become the Empress of Friendship by getting her hooves on the Artifacts.
King Sombra - Element of Cruelty
King Sombra is resurrected in 'The Beginning of the End' by Starlight, who is the one to propose they work together. After his attack fails and he's defeated once again by the Mane 6 and Spike, Starlight once again rescues him and he joins her team. She uses his defeat as a warning to the others to follow her plans.
Queen Chrysalis - Element of Dispair
Chrysalis is recruited by Starlight to join her Legion. In the events of 'To Where and Back Again', she is bested by Thorax, Trixie and Discord.
Lord Tirek - Element of Greed
Tirek joins Cozy Glow, imprisoned in Tartarus in 'School Raze'. Both are freed by Starlight who recruits them.
Discord - Element of Treachery
(This ones a fun one) Tirek convinces Discord to join him in 'Twilights Kingdom'. After betraying the Mane 6, Tirek betrays him. But before he was able to steal his magic, Discord fleas. Starlight tracks him down and while he's remorseful of losing his friendship with Fluttershy specifically, Starlight convinces him as the last member to join the Legion, offering him the unrestricted freedom to be himself.
And finally,
Starlight Glimmer - Element of Magic (dark)
During the final events of 'The Cutie Re-Mark, After Twilight and Spike show Starlight the ruined future of Equestria, She reveals her lost friendship with Sunburst. While attempting to stop the Rainboom and Twilight attempting to convince her to try friendship again, Starlight refuses. Spike us able to grab the time spell and Twilight is able to return them all home. She continues to try and reason with Starlight until the rest of the Mane 6 enter, leading Starlight to teleport away. During that time between then and 'The Beginning of the End', Starlight had been plotting and keeping an eye on events, learning about the other villains exploits as well as the Mane 6. After learning about the Artifacts from Cozy Glows attempts to take over the School of Friendship, Starlight gathers the villains, resurrects Sombra, and divulges a plan to use the Artifacts to drain Equestria of it's magic in order to find the location of the lost artifact, Grogars Bell, so she can combine it with the entity known as 'The Darkness' (which had previously corrupted Stygian). Her plan is to revive Grogar, through the form of The Darkness that can be controlled by the Legion. Through the inclusion of Discord, after promising him the freedom lost to the ponies, the magic formed by their union formed the ultimate counter to the Elements of Harmony, appropriately named the 'Elements of Disharmony' or 'Elements of Chaos', for the final stand off against the Mane 6.
Aftermath (brief)
Grogar ends up growing out of control and the future Starlight, Twilight and Spike saw was slowly being realised. Discord ends up betraying the Legion to protect Fluttershy, Chrysalis, Cozy Glow and Tirek also side with the ponies because they can't rule a world that no longer exists.
Starlight route A: In a final 'hurrah', so desperate and consumed by blind hatred, now abandoned by her crew, who are all close to defeating Grogar, she uses one final Artifact, the Alicorn Amulet and a hidden spell lost since Ancient times (the Nightmare forces similar to Nightmare Rarity). Starlight fuses with the Darkness and Grogar essence, becoming a new powerful Alicorn, a Nightmare Starlight. Equestria bands together, the other villains, the Princesses, the other kingdoms like the dragons and changelings, they defeat Starlight, turning her into stone.
Starlight Route B: She sees the error of her ways and joins the Mane 6 to defeat Grogar. They succeed, the future reveals Starlights redemption, reviving her friendship with Sunburst, becoming the Headmare at the School of Friendship while teaching lessons about not letting Hatred consume you.
Villain Endings
Chrysalis and Tirek semi "redeemed" not exactly friends with the Mane 6, but the help rebuild before leaving to do their own thing. No longer attempting world domination.
Cozy Glow, disgusted she had to side with the Mane 6, tries to grab one of the Artifacts, but is stopped by Celestia, she fleas.
Discord returns with the Mane 6.

Favorite Thing: Her not going with the crowd, she always uses her own intuition to decide something and never just does because it's popular, of course this isn't always a good thing but I still find it an interesting character trait.
Least Favorite Thing: Her selfishness, this is albeit rare but she is selfish at points and it really frustrates me when it happened
Favorite Canon Relationship: Again, I'm including platonic here so... this is a hard one, a lot of hers are really wholesome but I'm going to go with Starlight. It's a really good representation that the teacher can be taught by the student, like Twilight admitting her bias against Trixie or learning a bit off of Starlight's habit of combining spells like their ingredients in a dish, I found it really cool.
Favorite Non Canon Relationship: Any ship with the other elements, or just Poly Mane 6 as I think it's adorable, and honestly pretty believable
Sexuallity headcanon: Bi, I mean her hair literally has the bi flag in it, what else could I choose?
What I'd do If I could spend the day with them: Learn magic cause YES!
Random Fact I like: Less about Twilight and more about her voice actress, the amazing Tara Strong who is prolific in voice acting, voicing Harley Quinn a ton for instance, but other times I hear her in a game I either think of Twilight or Harley and I find that very amusing.
Pinkie Pie
Favorite Thing: How selfless she is, being the element of laughter isn't about making herself laugh and her parties aren't for making herself have fun, there for others, she wants to make others laugh, she keeps extensive data on people so she know how she can best give joy to them, it's just so wholesome to me.
Least Favorite thing: I really don't know, anything I can really think of also makes her one of the more likable characters in other scenes. I'm stumped
My Favorite Canon Relationship: Her and Cheese Sandwich cause they are just so cute! How she brought back his smile and joy it's just... come on I can't not love them right? And the fact that they are equally cheery and goofy in the finale is just so sweet.
My Favorite Non-Canon Relationship: Same as Twilight's really, her and another member of the Mane Six just works, no matter who it is, or all together as I said, friendship and love are so closely linked it just works.
Sexuallity Headcanon: Pan, once again the colors are literally in her color scheme, she's pink all over, her eyes are blue and her cutie mark has yellow in it, plus it makes sense to me, Pinkie doesn't care about gender, she just wants her partner to be able to make her laugh and be cute while laughing themselves, gender got nothing to do with that.
What I'd do if I could spend the day with them: I'd say baking but already did that with Peach, um... look around her party planning cave, sounds like an interesting expirience.

Tumblr media
shadow [ left, like??? 7 i think?? y/o male] and zoey [ right, i-can't-remember-her age-but-she's-younger-than-him y/o female who acts like a grumpy old lady. shelter name was deadass 'elsa ursula' im not even kidding ]
Tumblr media
meme [ 8 i think?? y/o female. name is an alt spelling of mimi. we did not name her. also she seems to be in a lesbian relationship with petal so good for her 👍]
Tumblr media
lily [ unknown age female, absolute Hairy Beast, i know her eyes look sad but she is half asleep and even though she is perfectly healthy she produces the eye crusty things constantly ]
Tumblr media

Tumblr media
niko [male, either a year old or a couple months under a year. you can't see it in the picture because i 1: didn't wanna make him move for a better picture; 2: am too short to reach that platform anyway, but he is MASSIVE. about the same size as penelope who is also big. he's a bit pudgy compared to her but he's a healthy guy, he looks heavier than he is bc his fur puffs out a bit more and he likes to lay on me while i'm in bed]
Tumblr media
and finally, trapper. [ male, under a year old, exact age unknown. medium-furred right now but as he gets older it may grow. named after the live trap we caught him in. talks a lot and it is So Precious. ]
( everybody's neutered/spayed and the house is clean and they're getting good care dw i know people tend to worry about that stuff with larger amounts of cats but we handle em well, plus we don't intend on going above 9, we didn't even intend on getting trapper but. we kinda had to bcuz all the shelters were full and i'm honestly glad we did /srs )

So I wasn't exactly happy with my last self insert character I don't feel like they properly represented me so I made a new one!
Tumblr media
The story with princess Luna is mostly the same because the cringe culture is dead and self shipping is just fun
They were made Luna's Royal guard even though their original job was just to take care of the Royal pets but Rose definitely wasn't complaining they spent a lot of time together and they were basically dating but never made it official and when Luna turned into nightmare moon and got banished to the Moon Rose was devastated they knew she would be on the moon for so long their entire lifetime so they decided to go to Celestia and ask her to turn them into stone and only release them from the spell when Luna was back
Of course Celestia declined causing a fight to break out and Rose to run out of the castle and of course find the alicorn amulet kind of discovering it using its power and how it corrupted them they fought Celestia forcing Celestia to turn them into stone to get them from destroying the kingdom and bringing back nightmare moon in her entirety strangely The amulet didn't turn to Stone and was placed away only to be stolen and put in a random shop for Trixie to find a thousand some odd years later
That's when Rose got the epithet Luna as an honor to their love for her and the statue was placed in the Royal garden
"Love of the Moon"
Celestia vowed to release them as soon as Luna was back even more dejected that she not only lost her sister but lost her friend as well
As you can see they are a goat hybrid! But not a normal goat these are kind of like nature spirits that take the form of a goat
They all have an element or two that they can control that will my character can also do this! But because they're a hybrid their powers are a bit weird and they can't really control it it's controlled by their emotions their elements are ice and water
Their unicorn magic is also weaker and harder to control because of the hybrid nature
So yeah that's the new self-insert! I'm really happy with the design
