Ways The TmnT Boy's Annoy Their S/O; Hc's

Anon request, "hello I love your work and I hope you are well I wanted to ask you for a fic with the turtles and a fem!reader, about things they do to jokingly annoy their girlfriend because its funny for them. <3"

Leonardo:

Leo doesn't normally try to annoy his s/o, but occasionally he does feel a bit cheeky and decides to pester them if they're in a decent mood

the thing he does most often in these small occurrences is randomly poke at their side, and when they ask what he needs he'll pretend to not know what he just did

loves doing it if they're working at something and he's wanting attention

you know that thing dad's do where they pretend to lick their hand and then try to gross you out by putting said hand in your space? well he does that too

will chase his s/o around either the lair or their place, mischievously grinning as they run away screeching at him to not even dare!

Leo never pushes his s/o past annoyance, and will always end his shenanigans with gentle laughter and apology kisses

Raphael:

this man has messed with his s/o before they were even his s/o; he knows all the right buttons to push and to what limit as to not go so far as to actually anger them

he can't help it, it's so adorable how they get all red and puffed up when he mildly irritates them

absolutely calls his s/o shorty and other ridiculous nicknames when he's being a butt

his favorite thing to do that always gets his s/o rolling their eyes is when they ask him for help with something such as opening a pickle jar, and he dramatically flexes his muscles while wagging his brow, stating that if they wanted to see him at work, all they had to do was ask

will also purposely man spread where ever they're seated so his s/o is basically forced to sit either between his lap or on it

Raphaels messing around is always in good fun, and he knows when enough is enough, even if your death glare is the cutest thing he's ever seen

Donatello:

his favorite way of annoying his s/o is honestly so adorable that it's hard for his s/o to stay mad about it for very long

his s/o will ask him for something like a snack, and before they can grab it from his hand he quickly holds it up above his head

will wink and state they have to pay the bae toll first, and despite all their groaning, his s/o will tip toe to give him a sweet kiss

will sometimes place things in a high place so his s/o has to ask him to get it, but more often than not they know he purposely placed it there and will try to jungle gym their way up to get it

he'll stand to the side with a smug smirk and ask them if they're sure they don't need his help, finding their determination to get whatever object themselves very adorable

whether or not they say yes, he's always read to catch them if they happen to slip or fall, in which case he'll hold off on putting their stuff high up for a while

Michelangelo:

most the time when he feels like annoying his s/o it's because he's either bored, wants attention, or both

his favorite way of doing so is playing the "gravity game", much to his s/o's dismay

Mikey will locate his s/o to find them keeling over some work that can honestly wait a day or two to be done, and if he can't bribe them to step away for a break with cuddles, he'll let out the biggest sigh, an indication of what he's got planned

his s/o will shoot him a knowing glare and tell him he better not, but it's too late, Mikey has already trudged his way over to where they're seated or standing and groans loudly about how heavy the Earth is, practically leaning all of his weight onto his flustered s/o

won't put his entire weight into it because he obviously doesn't want to crush them, but Mikey also won't let up till his s/o agrees to finally take a break and spend some time with him, to which he will act victorious and act suddenly weightless as he practically floats off with his blushing s/o for some quality time

Leo:

Since he goes on patrols and does a lot of training with his brothers, even meditates. He doesn't have time to sleep, so you have to make him sleep.

But, when he gets in bed with you.... he just turns into puddy.

He probably sleeps really stiff and in one position, because of his training of a ninja. Practices 24/7.

If you move around a lot in your sleep (like me.) you probably make him annoyed. But, if you like to cuddle in your sleep well leo is in big trouble. (lol)

You would lay on his plastron and hear his heart beat faster.

Look at his face, kiss his green lips, take his blue mask off (gently)

That will make his stress on his shoulders go away and make him go to sleep.

If you wake up be prepared to wake up with a cold body because leo gets up really early to train and meditate.

Raph:

This boy stays up all night just playing on his shell phone probably.

just lay on his plastron and look up at him with sad eyes, maybe even push his phone out of view so he can see your face.

Boom, got him to sleep in bed with you.

Snuggle on his plastoron and be prepared to be moved around a lot.

He moves a lot in his sleep I imagen. Since ya know he gets angry a lot.

maybe get spike to snuggle in with you. (before he got mutated.)

Bro i can name so many positions he's in, in his sleep.

if he lays on his stomach you smushed between the bed and his full body.

Give his shell scratchesssss! it will release some of the stress he has on his whole body with anger issues.

When you wake up you have a warm turtle who will snuggle in you for the whole day if he wanted.

Donnie:

This boi will stay up all night working in his lab.

So go up to him rub his shoulders release the stress from working in the lab all day and night.

If you get him in bed it's a miracle. He will want to work on his experiments if it will stop shredder.

First give him a bath so he doesn't get oil and other gross chemical thing on the clean purple silk sheets, and snuggle with him in bed.

maybe watch a movie on his shell phone and finally go to bed.

he will snuggle on your chest and watch the movie with you.

Kiss his forehead and take his purple band off his head so he can be more comfortable.

But you will wake up to a cold bed. But, he will leave a note on the bed side table saying were he is.

Mikey:

He plays a lot of video game, so you can expect him to play them all night.

maybe lay in his lap and take the controlor out of his hands.

(first clean off his bed first, maybe give it a wash before hand.)

let him lay on you, you may get startled by him because he will blow bubbles on the fat of your stomach.

He will always be happy when he's around you no matter what.

So when you both fall asleep on each other he will snuggle on your forever so be sure to be ready of that.

You won't wake up to a cold bed but a warm one. He's like Raph and will stay in bed with you all day.

I see this is where you're friendship starts.

The promised 'how Angelo got to 2003 Dimension" post (with an animatic panel b/c it's cute.)

note: This is sad. i didn't intend for it to be so sad when i started this au, that's just how things went. For a three year old to activate mystic powers, i imagined it would have taken a lot of very strong emotions to do. So it's sad. It's 'i'm putting it under a break and a content warning' sad.

brief (kinda stupid) summary in the tags for those that don't feel like reading it in it's (admittedly pretty vague) detail. (I'm probably going a little overboard adding a content warning but im doing it anyways)

Content warning: Attempted kidnapping and attempted child violence.

Angelo got separated due to a combination of the twins darting off while Angelo got distracted by a bucket of paint. Splinter was so busy chasing after the twins he didn't notice Angelo's hand had slipped from his. (By the time he does, he's already gone.)

While he's separated, another mutant sees this tiny thing painting a picture on the wall and decides he's an easy meal.

(that mutant is pretty much just Old Hob (from the TMNT idw comic) if he had been mutated by Draxum and escaped into the sewers. Not quite as conniving yet. Still very much relying on cat instincts at that moment rather than people ones. but he will get there. (I liked the fact that Hob is the reason Raph was separated from his family in the comics, so he's also the reason Angelo gets separated from his Rise family here.))

Anyways, Hob takes the small turtle and is halfway back when Angelo starts making a racket and trying to escape (he was stunned before then. He didn't understand what was going on. He still didn't but by then he just didn't want to be there anymore.)

All this does is make Hob mad. He tries to hurt Angelo to make him stop.

Tries.

Because at that moment, Angelo is scared. He's so scared. He scared this mutant will hurt him. That he won't ever see his family again.

And he so very wants to see them again.

Its enough to get his ancestors' attention. For them to see one of their young descendants in mortal peril and decide, that just won't do.

You see, that fear and desire to see his family was strong enough for Angelo to unlock his mystics, but he wasn't strong enough to use it. So his ancestors give him a boost. Admittedly a too strong boost. b/c instead of helping Angelo to make a portal away from there, they helped him make a portal away from the whole Dimension.

a too big portal, that Hob also fell through (though was far too stunned to do anything to stop Angelo from getting away.)

Raphie doesn't know this is what happened. He simply finds a crying turtle tot in the sewers and brings him home.

Eventually he starts realizing something bad happened to get the kid there (a small crack in Angelo's shell, bad nightmares, etc) but Angelo refuses to talk about it. and Raphie doesn't have the heart to push the issue.

Hob would probably be the main antagonist for the "Angelo grows up in 2003" arc. He would blame Angelo for him being displaced as he is. (he's also the dude in-charge of the lair invasion that results in Angelo getting sent back to Rise.)

So that's how it happens.

Daughter who was missing ever since she was eight and turns out his archenemy, Perseus, took her in as his very own daughter and raised her to be one of his best soldiers. 18-year-old darling is just wondering why this scarred man is hellbent on getting her back, and occasionally had to ask him who the hell he is whenever they meet up, which is honestly very heartbreaking for him.

I sense the angst already... sure! Utilizing wiki info since I have not played the game itself, I watched videos (It won't work with me for whatever reason).

I feel it's only more traumatic that he lost you when you were eight.

I do feel Russell Adler would be a good father to his daughter.

No one even knows the man has a family, or anything of his background really.

Your existence is a mystery to everyone but him.

Adler probably took care of you sometime before 1981 (Needs to be 18 years before Cold War's events), where he thinks Perseus is dead.

I'm a bit rusty on times where events take place but Adler takes care of you around when he's taken a position in the CIA.

You're a secret to most people and he loves you.

Maybe he adopted you or had you with a women no one knows before taking care of you alone.

Adler thought no one would learn of your existence since he never talked about his past.

Yet somehow tragedy still manages to strike.

Adler is a man who can go from charismatic to cold in an instant when talking with others.

It's hard to tell how he's feeling at times.

Yet I can just imagine the distraught desperation within him when he finds his home ransacked, his daughter gone in the chaos.

Adler is no doubt a changed man for ten years.

He may have been more laid back when he had you to look forward to.

But now he's dedicating his life work to finding you.

Although... is there anything he can find?

Meanwhile when Adler is left a broken man, Perseus had his men take you in.

Perseus becomes your father for the next ten years.

He may even brainwash you a bit to think you've always had him as your father.

You don't recall a man named Russell Adler, let alone think of him as your father.

Far as you know Perseus saved you and took you in as his own.

The next ten years are dedicated to training for you.

Perseus isn't the most affectionate man as a father but you never complain.

You're trained to be a soldier, a killing machine for his own personal use.

By the time you're 18 it's finished.

You're the perfect soldier while Adler still tries to find his long lost daughter.

Adler is a smart man so by the time of Cold War's events, or even before it, he suspects Perseus is the one behind your disappearance.

Imagine the pain coming back to Adler when he sees you for the first time in a decade.

He can tell you're his daughter but you've changed so much.

Your attire is decked out in Perseus insignia and it's clear in your eyes you don't recognize Adler.

Adler knows his next mission is to take you back, he even plans on disguising it as taking you as a hostage for interrogation.

No one suspects you're Adler's daughter but they do question why he's so insistent on targeting you.

It does indeed hurt Adler whenever he faces you only to hear you ask him who he is.

Any attempts to make you see him as your father again is pushed away.

You call him delusional and then proceed to try and kill him.

(If I'm being honest, this whole dynamic reminds me an awful lot of Splinter, Karai, and Shredder's story from TMNT. It's off topic but it would be exactly like that.)

Adler doesn't like the idea of hurting you but tries to tell himself it's for your own good.

Eventually Adler is going to snap and order the plan of kidnapping you.

To him it's more like reclaiming but... it's just to make him feel better.

Adler is careful of not letting his team know your origins unless he trusts them.

Once he has you in CIA custody, Adler does anything and everything he can to convince you that he's your father, not Perseus.

I can imagine that if you're biologically related he'd do a DNA test to prove things.

That would screw with your mind... but it wouldn't work if you were adopted.

Reversing your thinking is difficult because Perseus didn't necessarily use brainwashing on you.

He influenced you by taking you when you were young.

There's a slim chance Adler can get you back normally due to your age.

It's slim though.

The most likely option Adler would have to do to make you his daughter is brainwashing of his own.

He hates the idea of it but you may be unfixable in your current state.

By this point his crew is going to find out your connections with Adler.

Adler comes off hostile when they say you're now the enemy.

He wants there to be a chance.

You never deserved to be a soldier, especially one for Perseus.

Adler is definitely making it a goal to fill Perseus with lead when he finds him with Bell.

Perseus will choke on his own blood when Adler is done with him....

Don't worry, he'll fix his beloved daughter...

You won't have to kill anymore, you can just go back to how things were... how things are supposed to be...

Your real father will fix everything.

Post Format: Headcanons

CW/TW: Yelling, Mild Angst for Leo, Crying, and 'mild' Leo 'slander' lmao ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Raphie:

You're playing a game with Raph and Leo, unfortunately, Leo ends up winning and taunting you in particular, mainly because you preformed the worst

You grit your teeth as you hear him gloat "Oh ho ho! It seems I've won a game, it was bound to happen anyway, with how horrible you are at anything we play~"

Normally this wouldn't be too bad, you'd leave as soon as he was done piggishly gloating, but he HAD to jab you in the fucking ribs

Tears prick your eyes angrily as you tell him to 'shut the fuck up and shove the award up his ass', this causes him and Raph to wince at your harsh words

They don't know how to respond, Leo ended up awkwardly walking away, unnerved with your sudden display of hostility

Raph walks up to you and asks what's wrong, you take a deep breath and try to relax for a few seconds

You talk about how you actually get angry and frustrated a lot, it's just physical touch makes it harder to push aside

I actually HC him to still have anger issues like his previous Iterations, but on a lower and more mellow level

he gets irritated sometimes when things don't go the way he wants them, (aka safely and quickly) or when Leo is a pain in the ass, but he never takes it out on people or openly talks about it

He understands a lot.

He hugs and kisses your head, making you promise that you will tell him when you're starting to get a little too angry so he can help smoothen the situation

You nod and thank him

Donnie:

Also has some bad anger sometimes

You're doing homework with him, usually you didn't need help, but you wanted him to explain certain trigonometry concepts to you because the Teacher was downright horrendous at explaining things.

You both got frustrated when you couldn't understand what Donnie was explaining, you because you were usually a really fast learner and didn't understand why this was so fucking difficult, and He was frustrated because he considers this relatively easy

It gets hostile when he says in what you misread as a condescending tone "How can't you understand this?! It's like teaching ABC's to a Kindergartener! It's simple!", you growl out a 'Fuck you' and start packing your stuff, just wanting to leave the lair and cool off

He doesn't stop you, he only huffs and puffs in irritation

Leo would be near the entrance of the lair and would probably crack a stupid joke, causing you to snap a "Back off!" at him, making him squint his eyes, trying to make sure this isn't someone else.

Once you leave the lair, you start to assume this will put a strain on your relationship up until he breaks into your apartment and apologizes a couple hours later

He struggles to understand that you won't get things as quickly as he does, he understands that concept with his brothers, but not with you

Mainly because he considers you smart, he's not good with apologies but he wants you to know that it wasn't your fault

It would probably lead to a long talk about you two and your anger, you two promising to be more open about your frustrations and to vent it out in a healthy way and not demean each other for what they don't yet understand

and that would lead to a rather uncommon case of Donnie cuddling you, with you two finishing your homework and watching Jupiter Jim movies

Leo:

Okay, unpopular(?) opinion but he would totally unintentionally rile you up

He's just so.... Jokey and to someone who doesn't know him, Probably Narcissistic, Dense and Immature

Which, with the Last two, he can be, but he definitely is NOT narcissistic.

Knowing him, He'd probably make a smartass comment, come up to you saying "huh?! Huh?!" Over and over again, you KNOW he's not trying to irritate you, mainly because you've never actually shown irritation or aggression when he does this (Because you're used to this behavior even before you dated)

Like in the Raph scenario, he jabs your ribs with his fingers, causing you to yelp and glare at him, he just looks at you, completely misreading the situation, thinking you're just being playfully angry so he fUCKING JABS YOU AGAIN

You snarl out a "WHAT THE FUCK, LEONARDO!?" and instinctively shove his hand away from your side

He looks shocked before actually becoming a little sad, looking akin to a kicked puppy

You sigh and relax, feeling guilty you softly mumble out, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell... I'm just in a bad mood, you didn't deserve that treatment." he averts his eyes, clearly still hurt

I'm gonna be honest, you're the only one who truly accepts his jokes aside from Mikey (Mostly), so he kinda.... gets depressed

Over the next few days, he might become slightly timid with making jokes around you, and might actually fall into a small depressive episode, feeling as if his coping method irritates his S/O

It'll take a long talk about boundaries with jokes and reassuring him that it was just a bad day, and you genuinely don't mind his jokes

that talk actually made people like Donnie tolerate his jokes more, as now he doesn't usually include physically jostling, pinching or poking people in his jokes

It might take a few days of mild, timid jokes before he goes back to his absolutely wild personality that you fell in love with.

Mikey:

Gonna be honest once more, he is the least likely to see you in an irritated state

He is super in-tune with your emotions and can tell when you're irritated or sad so he can get you out of that situation... 98% of the time.

But also, like Leo, I could see him being unintentionally irritating at times, it never bothered you up until this point because its Mikey! one of the most lovable goofballs you know!

But if you're already in a bad mood and he's being a little too rambunctious, I could see you snapping at him a little, and then instantly feeling guilty

Like Leo, the minute you snap at him, he gives you the biggest kicked puppy eyes, tears softly falling down his face as you wince and apologize profusely

He forgives you, albeit asking for a reason as to why you barked at him

He might turn into Dr. Feelings to help you talk about your outbursts and why it's not a good response to irritating stimuli

Similar to that episode with him and Donnie lmao

He doesn't blame you; he knows everyone has their own emotional baggage, but he makes you promise to tell him when you're getting closer to having an outburst so he can help you.

You agree and place a kiss on his beak, making him churr happily

there's probably a lot of small sessions with Dr. Feelings about your anger over the next couple weeks/months until you can handle it better

All of Them:

They love you even if you snap at them sometimes (and them sometimes snapping right back)

The last thing they want is to make you feel negative/neurotic emotions because of them

While they wouldn't change anything about themselves, they know you don't want them to do that anyway.

You have issues, they understand that and are willing to talk to you about boundaries, so you don't have or get a bad reaction from you or them.

Heya! I’m going around and asking a bunch of my favorite Tmnt artists the same questions out of curiosity

How did you discover/get into Tmnt?

When did you start drawing/actively start trying to improve your art?

It was a warm summer's day in August 2022 when I was hiding in the darkness of my home. Oh how bored I was as summer slipped away and I wished to do something more than stare at the ceiling.

I opened Netflix after ages of ignoring it and then I saw.

A trailer.

Bright colours flashing on my screen. Action scenes so intriguing I had to know more.

But... it was tmnt and... well ugh I never cared for tmnt.

But it looked so good...

I could try? Maybe it wasn't that bad? I could always turn it off...

Anyhow flash forward to now and it seems I've got a new hyper focus that has hit me hard and got me to actually draw fanart and even worse...fanfics

As for drawing, my mum told me that I drew as soon as I could hold a pencil. I remember drawing daily for years until...hm...13 years ago? I gradually stopped and often didn't draw more than once a year with a few revivals here and there.

With some pushing from others I started drawing again at the start of this year and boy I never expected to draw almost daily again. Let alone fanart which I almost never drew! (I only have some very old final fantasy and kingdom hearts fanart)

I uh... should actively try to improve my art but unfortunately I don't like making mistakes and you need to make those to improve instead of only drawing what's already familiar and safe. I also wish I could get feedback but my rl friends just like everything and although that's super sweet it won't help me get better 🙈

Just came up with a new TMNT 2012 AU I want to write in, like, 20 minutes (well, maybe, IDK if anyone else has come up with something exactly like this)

IDK a name yet, but anyway, here's what I have so far:

Raphael never meant to hurt his brothers while playing, but he always seemed to be a little too rough for them and Sensei would always put him in timeouts. He could understand why

But then there were the times his brothers seemed to push him into a reaction, taking his book or toy from his hands, leading him to try and get it back, or making fun of his poor writing and math skills until he cried frustrated tears. Once, Mikey even ripped his drawing

But he was always wrong

He didn't get it, do his feelings not matter like his brothers’ matter?

Maybe if he was more like Leo, his Sensei would care for him more, maybe then he would matter

But he never was as good as Leo, not to his Sensei at least, regardless of how many moves he mastered, or how helpful he tried to be, or if he beat Leo in their daily sparring matches. In fact, he seemed to get in more trouble if he beat Leo at sparring, always being kept back with his Sensei to go through punishment back flips

He asked once, only to be shut down and told he was imagining it, but after prodding his father more, he… he called him Saki

Saki?

As in… Oroku Saki? The man Sensei said took away everything from him? His love, his daughter?

That Saki?

Splinter saw him as Saki?

Why?

He didn't get to ask, as his Sensei, his father, rushed out of the room, a look of horror on his face

After some thought, he realised that, if Sensei believed him to be like the man who destroyed his prior family, he would prove him wrong. He would protect his family, no matter what, even if it costs him his life

And the first thing he needed to protect them from? Himself

So he begins pulling away, not playing games with his brothers, not trying at sparring in hopes he doesn't hurt them, training more by himself, etc, etc.

Still, it's not enough, because Mikey, upset at being ignored by Raph, pushes him by breaking or losing his favourite toy car (He only planned to threaten it, as children sometimes do, but Raph rushed him. Now the car is gone and Mikey has a black eye from the tussle)

Again, Raph is the only one in trouble. Realising he can't have important things laying around, he sneaks out in hopes of finding a hiding spot for his more prized things. After all, if they can't get to his beloved stuff, he won't feel the need to go at them, right?

As they grow, Raph withdraws more and more, barely even speaking to them unless he has to (he can't get too close to them, if he has to protect them with his life later on, they might be sad. Besides, what if he accidentally hurts their feelings). Hell, he even learned how not to emote

Naturally, Raph ends up in comatose instead of Leo. He shuts down when Shredder kills Splinter because that should've been him. What kind of protector is he?

Sorry for any errors, I typed this whole thing out in 20 minutes while at work, and I've been up since 5AM

he cries a little bit because everyone cries a little bit hearing that song, but after he gets over his own emotions he will be at your door and he won't be going away until you let him in so he can check on your wellbeing.

I fully believe that Leo listens to music all day every day. to hold the brain goblins at bay you know how it is.

he listens to the blend at least once a day and pays attention for any changes on your end because he's nosy like that. he's the friend that likes to see what his friends are listening to so he can make fun of them.

mostly he just leaves it at teasing but one time he does have to sit you down because your blended playlist has been adding more and more elton john songs but only the sad and nostalgic ones and it's all on your end and he's concerned.

he's especially concerned about elton john's hit song "Saturday Night's Alright (for Fighting)".

naturally he calls you up to discuss the results of your vibe check and you hate it

"hello y/n I'm just calling to let you know that you have failed your latest vibe check and so I will be inviting myself over. do you want pizza or ice cream?"

you would find it touching if you weren't so annoyed by it. besides it's not like you're the only one failing the vibe check - Donnie's had cbat on your blend for weeks and you are mad about it

but his favorite thing is when you listen to meme songs so much that they end up in your blend. he'll play the meme songs on repeat and sing them around you to tease you.

like that one time you had "here comes the hurricane legendary katrina" on the blend for a solid couple of weeks. Mikey still hasn't let that go.

anytime it gets cloudy out he gives you this mischievous grin and you beg him not to but he doesn't listen.

A Splinter Special for Turtle Tot Raph.

"Red?"

He didn't want to come out.

"Red!"

Dad would be disappointed.

"Raphael!"

Oh, dad's definitely disappointed.

Raph's door creaked open as a familiar silhouette stood through the frame. The turtle looked up at Splinter for a moment before turning back around, pulling the blanket over his head.

There was the sound of footsteps approaching him, before he felt the dip on the other side of his bed.

"Raphael, do you want to tell me what happened?"

"Raph'll just get yelled at."

"I promise, I won't yell at you."

He bit his tongue, pulling the ends of his blanket closer to his plastron. There was the faint outline of a palm on his shell, rubbing reassuring circles through the fabric and onto the scutes.

"I just want to hear your side of the story."

"It... It wasn't all Raph's fault."

"I know it wasn't... If you'd tell me why."

A pause. Raph pulled the sheets off his head and looked back up at Splinter. "Leo said stuff, acting like he's the king of everything... It's not my fault I proved him wrong."

"Red, you broke his arm..."

"Raph knows! But if he didn't say that stuff... I wouldn't have..." He trailed off, eye contact grew difficult to maintain.

Dad sighed.

"You know you're physically stronger than your brothers." His voice was gentle, almost nonchalant and casual. Dad adjusted himself on the bed, not exactly forcing the snapping turtle to look at him, but encouraging it. Raph remained firmly under the blanket, but did sneak a peak. "It's okay to roughhouse, it's natural; I encourage it! But it's not when you get angry, and especially when you use that anger to hurt them."

Raph turned fully at that.

A question that remained on his tongue was finally pushed out. "Are... Are they scared of Raph?"

"A little... Maybe."

Wetness pricked at the corners of his eyes.

"But like broken bones, your bond with them can heal."

"They won't forgive Raph."

Dad chuckled, pulling the snapping turtle into a closer hug. He was getting up there in size, where Splinter might struggle to wrap the circumference of his whole arm around him. "Who ever said that?"

"I hurt them... Raph was bigger than his brothers, and got them hurt... All because he got mad." The turtle held onto his forearms, gripping at them tightly. The watery feeling around his eyes rolled down his cheeks. He stifled a sob, the arms around his frame only tightening in some semblance of comfort.

"My son, your strength isn't an inherently bad thing..." Dad gently lifted an edge of the blanket to wipe away at his tears, "Just as such power can destroy, it can also protect."

Raph dared to look up once again at his dad, seeing the solemn smile on his face.

"And give your brothers some credit, too," Splinter rubbed the top of Raph's head, "They'll bounce back. They always do."

The turtle laughed a little in response, the shy chortle he made ebbing away at the guilt he felt prior. Splinter reached from behind Raph. "And... If you want to apologise to Blue, I'm sure he'd like that."

"I... What if Raph gets angry again?"

"Ah, glad you asked," Dad chuckled, pulling a stuffed bear into view, "Whenever you feel angry, or frustrated, or anything like that, you can give this bear a squeeze..."

Gently, Raph took the toy into his hands.

"But... if I squeeze, he'll break."

Splinter made a show of thinking of the answer, before gently side-eying Raph and giving him another endeared pat on the head, "You'll find a way... I know you love your brothers, and they all love you."

Dad pushed himself off the bed and stretched, "So... What are you going to do now, Red?"

His resolve steeled, "Raph will keep his brothers safe."

Splinter smiled in response. "I'm glad."

What to do now.... Donnie was writhing in Raph's arms, water dripping down his jaws as his newly grown in fangs had pierced the metal bottle that had been stuck in there, and it was getting hard to hold him still. Oh! The moon room! Whenever there was a full moon, his brothers would all put him in there to keep everyone safe during his rampages. Maybe it'd also be useful for this situation. Then he could go make sure Casey was okay. "Alright, bud. Let's get you somewhere safe." He said, carrying him off.

With no hands free, it was difficult to open the door, but somehow, he managed with a combination of his foot and tail to get both locks off and to push the door open. Inside, it was mostly barren although the walls were padded, and there were multiple destroyed mattresses inside as well as food scraps. Aiming at one of the tattered old mattresses, Raph just threw Donnie inside and quickly backed away and shut the door. There was a thud on the other side of the door and some hissing followed by slight shuffling and silence. On the outside of the room there were a couple monitors connected to security cameras inside so Raph could see that Donnie had just slammed into the door then quickly gave up and flopped down on the mattress he'd been thrown onto and curled up like a cat. He'd kept the water bottle in his mouth for some reason. It was odd that he hadn't just dropped it. There was a smaller door to the side that they used to get food into the room since on full moons, Raph really calmed down with a full stomach. Hopefully, this worked the same way.

After making sure Donnie would be okay, he rushed off to check on Casey. He was just sitting alone in the med bay, cleaning and patching the bite he'd gotten. "You alright?" Raph asked, stepping closer. "The bite will heal fine, yeah. I've had worse." he assured. "I'm worried about Donnie, though." he added, looking up at Raph, who bit his lip and crossed his arms. "Well.... I stuck him in the moon room. So that bit's taken care of. You sure the bite is fine, though? I mean.... that's how Don got turned in the first place." he muttered, looking down at the fresh bandages. Casey suddenly looked very worried. "THAT'S how it works?! I don't even.... Oh God, I don't even know what this is. So it's like Rabies?!" he panicked, causing Raph to throw up his hands reassuringly. "No, it'll be alright! It's not like rabies. It won't kill you. Or I mean.... it will, but not forever. I think." "WHAT?!" "Well- Um... it's not as bad as it sounds. I promise. Vampires are like.... undead. They're still alive technically, but you saw how Don had no heartbeat, yeah? And for some reason, they die in the sunlight. Also, they gotta drink blood and all to survive. I dunno how it all works. But that's like... the basics." Raph explained quickly. Casey didn't look less worried, but his shoulders relaxed. He put a hand to his neck like he was checking for a pulse. "Well, I'm not dead yet, so that's... something. " He said, taking a deep breath. "Alright. It'll be fine." he breathed, smiling nervously as his wings trembled.

Just then, Leo's portal opened, and the blue turtle stepped through, Mikey following behind him. Leon had a couple of shopping bags filled with blood pouches. "Got the groceries!" He announced, setting the bags down. "Where's Donnie?" Mikey asked, scanning the room. "I dropped him in the moon room. He uhm.... bit Casey." Raph answered. To which, both turtles winced. "Eugh.... That's not good. Alright, I'll go feed the beast. Then Mike can tell us all what he learned." Leon said, grabbing like four blood bags from his haul and sprinting off.

Once at the moon room, Leon checked the camera once before slipping the pouches in the food slot. Inside, Donnie near immediately dropped the bottle in his mouth and pounced, spilling some of the blood as his fangs punctured the nearest one, and he began drinking. He drained two and a half of them before he paused in his actions, blinking a few times as confusion set into his expression. Looks like he was back.

Part one

TMNT Donatello x reader

A/N: I hope you like it! Tbh I wrote majority of this half asleep so if there are any mistakes I apologize, but please enjoy nonetheless.

Donnie huffed in annoyance watching you from a distance talk it up with a friend of yours. At least he hoped it was just a friend.

The annoyance grew as he watched said friend feel up your shoulder and laugh obnoxiously at something you had said.

It was obvious to him that your friend was flirting with you, but you were oh so oblivious and it furthered his agitation at not having your attention on him.

He huffed again and turned back to the motor he was putting back together and began to focus solely on the work in front of him.

If he couldn't have your attention then you couldn't have his.

But the jealousy he felt never simmered down. It slowly began to bubble over the surface the longer he worked on the motor.

"Hey Donnie! Whatcha working on?" I leaned onto his desk and looked at him from across the table. Turning back to wave a final goodbye to Chad and April.

I turned back to look at Donnie. The only problem was Donnie's eyes never lifted to meet mine.

I waited a beat for Donnie to respond, but he never did.

"Hey Don?" I waved my hand in his face, but he slapped it away from him.

"What's your problem?" I huffed standing up fully to look at him.

"Nothing, your just in the way." Not once did he ever look up at me.

"Yeah ok. Why didn't you say hi back?" I wonder why he was being so cold to me.

"I just didn't feel like it."

"Did I do something?" A small amount of anxiety began to bubble up in my chest.

"No."

"Do you want me to..leave?" I was unsure what else to do. I had no idea what was bothering him.

"Yeah.." finally his eyes met mine, but only for a brief moment before he looked back down at his work.

"Fine." I huffed and turned away softly shutting the door behind me.

I was tempted to leave fully, but I had to know what it was I did wrong. So I stopped by Leonardo's room and softly tapped on his door.

"You can come in!" He shouted.

I opened the door and shut it behind me and walked over and sat on the edge of his bed.

"What's up?" He asked as he sat up placing his comic on his side table.

"Could you see what's upsetting Donnie? He won't talk to me and I don't know what I did wrong." I looked down at my hands and Leo gently placed his hand on my face turning me to look at him.

"Hey.. I'm sure it's not you. Don't worry I'll talk to him." He smiled at me and I let out a quiet laugh.

"Thanks Leo."

"Of course." He laughed and I stood up off of his bed and left his room after waving goodbye.

I didn't want to leave, but I didn't want to cause further issues. So I let out a sigh and left.

The walk home was boring and uneventful and full of dread and anxiety. I wonder what I had done. If it was something I had said or maybe something I did.

Never did It cross my mind that it was something I didn't do.

I looked up from my work to see Leo standing in my doorway.

"Do you need something?"

Leo crossed his arms and sighed looking around my room.

"So what's the problem?"

"There isn't one Leo." I stood up from my desk and walked over standing in front of him.

"Of course there's a problem..y/n stopped by to ask if I could see what she did."

"S-She didn't do anything?" I stuttered.

"Well she thinks she did and whatever the issue is you need to talk to her." Leo reached forward and patted my shoulder before turning and walking away.

I sighed and ran a hand down my face and wishing I hadn't let my jealousy get the better of me. If only I had just talked to her and told her how I felt.

But I can't tell her. I don't think I have the courage too. Especially after being such a jerk.

She at least deserved an apology. My feelings could wait.

I picked up my phone and pushed away any cowardness I had and called her.

After a few rings she answered

"Hello?"

"Hi.." I mumbled. The other side was silent so I took it as my cue to continue.

"I'm sorry..you didn't do anything. I was just.. y'know."

"It's okay.."

"Do you want to come over tomorrow and I promise I'll make it up to you?" I hoped she would take my offer.

"Yeah I can come over."

"Okay..s-sleep well okay?"

"You too Donnie."

I ended the call and placed my phone onto my desk and walked over and fell onto my bed.

I'm so glad I got that over with now all I had to do was think of the perfect way to say I was sorry.

I was glad that Donnie decided to call. I didn't want him to be mad at me and it really eased all of my nerves to hear him sound so nervous.

It meant that it wasn't something I had done at all. So I would be sure to bring the best gift to lift his mood.

I finished wrapping up his gift and finished by tying a small purple bow around the package.

Gently setting it into my bag before lifting it onto my shoulder.

I was so excited to see his reaction when he saw it I had spent so much time saving up to buy it for him.

But I knew in the end it would be well worth it especially to see my favorite person smile.

The walk there was shorter than usual, but I had practically run the whole way.

Once I had arrived I made a beeline for the lab. Knowing that's exactly where he would be.

Of course I didn't get there as soon as possible I had stopped to say hello to all three of his brothers. Who looked very suspicious, but they always had those looks when I came over.

Once I finally made it to the lab I knocked on the door as I walked through and Donnie stood from his chair and walked over to me.

"H-Hey I'm glad you made it." He smiled pushing his glasses up on his face before grabbing my hand and leading me to a chair.

I sat down and placed my bag onto the table before looking over at Donnie who was rummaging through a bin in the corner of his lab.

"Whatcha doing?" I shouted and he held up a hand before lifting up a wrapped, well wrapped something before walking back over to me.

"Ooh great minds think alike." I smiled as I unzipped my bag and pulled out my gift.

"You didn't have too.." He pulled up a chair and sat in front of me.

"I wanted to. I wanted to lift your mood."

"Thanks..but it's-you didn't do anything wrong."

"I know, but your my best friend I wanted to make you smile." I handed him my gift and he handed me his.

I placed it gently onto my lap and my fingers traced the square outline of the package as I looked at Donnie and ushered him to open my gift.

Slowly he undid the bow and pulled apart the paper revealing the laptop he had been eyeing for the past three months.

I smiled at the shock on his face and he looked up at me.

"Wow you didn't have to! This is amazing! Thank you!" He placed the laptop onto the table before reaching over and pulling me into a hug.

I hugged him back and made sure not to drop his gift and when he pulled away I sighed. Wishing his arms were still wrapped around me.

"Time to open mine!" I squealed.

I tore apart the paper and stopped when I saw that it was a book. The cover clueing me in that it was handmade. The words on the cover had my breathe catching in my throat.

To my one and only love

I quickly tore the rest of the paper off before opening the book and flipping through it. Admiring every page. The beautiful hand written notes and letters to me, the pictures, the doodles and poems.

I looked up at him after going through the book and saw the look on his face that I had seen every day since forever wasn't a look of friendship, but a look of love.

"Donnie...this is beautiful. Thank you.." I set it onto the table and wiped away the tear that had slipped it's way down my cheek.

"Your beautiful..I didn't know how to tell you, but I do..love you." He fiddled with his fingers and looked back up at me.

"I love you too Donnie.." I smiled and stood up walking over to stand in front of him.

He placed his hands on my cheeks. Cradling my face in his hands as he looked for permission and I gave a slow nod and leaned forward as my lips brushed his.

It was like electricity zipped through my body. Lighting my veins up and I didn't want it to stop, but we had to pull away for air.

"Sorry to interrupt.."

Me and Don pulled away from each other and looked to the doorway and April walked in.

"You got mail and it seemed really important so I came to drop it off." She handed it to me and waved to Donnie

"Thanks." I looked it over and saw that it was from my parents.

I sighed and sat down staring down at the envelope.

"What's wrong?" Donnie placed a hand onto my shoulder and I looked up at him.

"My parents..sent me a letter." I looked at April and her shoulders dropped.

"You better just read it and get it over with." She leaned onto the table and I nodded.

"What am I missing?" Donnie looked between us.

"My parents-well their difficult and I left because I didn't want to well be their heir.."

I watched his face contort into confusion and looked at April.

"She's a princess basically." She shrugged.

"A what?! Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't want you to treat me differently! Plus I left so I'm not really one anymore!" I huffed.

"Just open the letter!" April shouted and I groaned before tearing apart the seal and uncurling the papers inside.

I slowly drifted my eyes across the page and I couldn't believe what I was reading.

Why did they have to ruin everything for me?

I looked up and dropped the letter into my lap.

"What is it? Oh god it's bad isn't it?" April stood up.

"T-their sending me back..they've arranged a marriage for me." I couldn't believe this I wanted to be with Donnie. I wanted to live in New York.

"What do you mean? You-just don't go back." Donnie ushered out the shock evident on his face.

"No you don't get it I'm required or they'll send the guards out to collect me."

"Well we can figure this out." He stood up.

"Does it say to who?" April asked.

"Yes.."

"Who is it.." Donnie muttered.

"It's uh..Chad."

"You mean your friend Chad? The guy that just moved here two weeks ago Chad? That Chad?" I watched as his hands slowly curled into fists.

"Well.. apparently so." I leaned back into my seat at a lose of what to even think. I had absolutely no idea how to fix this.

TMNT Strongest Couples

Number Four: AprilTello

Why April and Donnie are the fourth strongest couple in TMNT.

AprilTello....what can I say? They are the most back and forth, will they or won't they, awkward, cringy moments couple ever!

They have such a good friendship and make a good team, and I do believe these two are meant to be together but they just both don't know how to be a couple!

It took them a long, very long time to learn and realize their feelings for each other.

DONNIE!!! We are going to start with you since you are the one who started this!

So, some think, that Donnie was grossly obsessive with April and was acting like a total creep towards her but...you guys know that he and his brothers lived in isolation for 15 years, right?

I can understand why Donnie acted the way he did because it is first time, he is actually seeing a girl, who he is attracted to with his own eyes, and it is obvious Donnie struggles with anxiety and insecurities. It is not that Donnie was being creepy or weird, he just did not know how to act!

And maybe, he was being a tad obsessive but not over April, he was obsessed with proving himself.

April is the first human to have ever liked them and become friends with them, so for Donnie that was instant hope that maybe he could get her to like him. After being told your whole life that people will hate you and not understand you, based on your appearance, you can understand why.

He wanted so badly to impress April but since the beginning! April has turned Donnie down, denied his feelings towards her, and made her feelings towards him very clear, but Donnie just ignored them and kept trying.

However, he was trying way too hard and making himself so obvious that it just made everything awkward between them.

Not that April did any better which I will say later on but for now, let's talk about their friendship.

It is very clear that out of the four turtle brothers, April is closer with Donnie. They were all like family to her, but Donnie became her best friend, (despite his constant slip ups with trying to impress her.)

Donnie is the one who saved her, all of them played a part, but Donnie was the one who got April to feel safe and get her calm.

April appreciates Donnie so much, he is always working hard to make sure she is safe, happy, and always trying to find ways to help her with her father.

Donnie the one she can always count on for anything.

Also, April is the only one who is willing to listen to Donnie's new inventions and doesn't constantly tease him like his brothers, and whenever he has an awkward moment, she just bushes it off and pretends it never happens, trying to not make him feel bad.

April really loved and valued their friendship, but Donnie just kept trying to be more than that which had complete opposite effect. Instead of getting closer, he was pushing April away because he would not let her discover her own feelings first.

Still, April cared for Donnie, and he cared for her.

Up until Donnie and his brother accidently spilled mutagen all over New York, causing Kirby O'Neil, April's father to get mutated into a giant bat.

April instantly blamed her friends. She turned all her anger towards them even though it was an accident. We can all understand April's anger, she had just gotten her father back after months of him not being around, only for her to lose him all over again. He is the only parent she has after her mother disappeared and it is clear that April has always loved him the most out of everyone.

Still though, I can understand wanting space from them and being angry with them, but to hold a grudge for so long when they are her father's only hope with getting help and being cured was pretty stupid.

(Then again, I don't know what I would do if it was my father)

However, even though April disowned them as her friends and refused to ever see them again, Donnie was still determined to make a cure for her father. Not just because of his feelings towards April but also because of their friendship.

April was their first and only friend, he did not want to lose that, and he did feel at fault for getting Kirby mutated and he wanted to make it right. Also, during her time away, Donnie could not help but worry over April, knowing how she was still wanted by the Kraang and all.

So not only was he spying on her because he missed her but because he was worried about her safety. He still had hope that April will come back one day until...

Casey freaking Jones!

Hope for April returning was instantly crushed! He took Casey as a sign that April has moved on and wanted nothing more than to have back the life she had before she met the turtles.

Jealousy also overcame him, but it was a healthy, normal amount of jealousy, ok? Not like Shredder with his creepy, sneaky jealousy.

It was only thanks to Splinter and his wisdom, that Donnie was able to return that hope. He basically told his son that he needed to respect April's space and needed to come back when she was ready.

Also, even though Donnie claims that he does not like Casey, he honestly should be thanking him.

It was only thanks to Casey, telling April about how he accidentally hurt his best friend and how he regrets it because it ended their friendship, that April realized how unfair she was being and how much she must have hurt Donnie.

She knew that it was an accident, knew that the turtles would never do anything to hurt her, but her stubbornness and anger got in the way of her logic.

So, April returned to the lair, ready for forgiveness and she thanked Donnie for being there even though she did not want him to be.

As for Donnie, he was just the happiest to have her back.

Then we are back with the awkwardness, and with Casey, who has feelings for April as well, made it even worse. Now not only is April feeling pressured by Donnie, now she is feeling pressured by Casey with his and Donnie's stupid rivalry!

However, unlike Donnie, April's feelings towards Casey are...a little more unclear. She seems to have a slight crush on Casey but is not ready to be committed to him, because maybe she is still figure it out and still discovering her own self.

And neither Donnie nor Casey was making it any easier.

She liked and cared for them both but who she wanted to be with was so, very unclear.

Now this is where April is no help with all of this drama. Every time Donnie expresses himself or tries to tell her how he truly feels, April does everything she can to ignore it or avoid it because she does not want to hurt Donnie's feelings.

I get that rejection is hard and is hard to give but if April would have just been straight with Donnie, telling him she just did not feel the same and just wanted to be friends, Donnie would have been hurt but eventually accepted it.

He would have given April her space a lot sooner and they could have just focused on being friends, and eventually, could have led to a serious relationship because then April and Donnie would have less pressure on themselves, and they could have gotten the space they needed to discover some things.

But nope! April just kept denying Donnie's feelings towards her.

Then there is also the fact that when Casey flirts with her, April tends to flirt a little back sometimes, but it still made things unclear. Just because they are flirting doesn't mean April had serious feelings towards him, she could have just been testing it out and it could have just been friendly playful flirting.

However, Donnie took it seriously and thought that April liked Casey more than him and Casey thought that April liked Donnie more than him because she is always kissing his cheek when overwhelmed with happiness but without any, clear confirmation, it just kept the rivalry going and kept the pressure going, making both relationships pushed more back then forward.

If April just said she did not feel that way towards Donnie or Casey or either of them, it would have just made everything a lot easier for all three of them but no.

Now this is where April makes me mad!

After the whole Bigfoot thing, Donnie finally began to realize how overbearing and uncomfortable he has been making April feel, with his constant need to try to impress her and give her weird gifts.

(I mean, Donnie....a music box with your photo in it? Could you not have chosen a more cringy gift?! Maybe if it had all her friends in it and not just you, but...no. That was weird Donnie, and I can fully understand April's response to it. It was justified.)

Anyway, back on topic, after Bigfoot left, Donnie finally decided to just be honest with April. He apologized for making her feel uncomfortable and basically said that he understands why she does not like him the same way and was ready to accept them only as friends.

On April's face, you can tell that she felt bad and that her heart went out to him. April did not feel that way just because he was a mutant but because she valued their friendship.

This is where April could have been straight and be honest with Donnie as well but...she kisses him! Not on the cheek, not on the forehead, a real actual lip kiss!

I mean, talk about mix singles!

In the beginning of season 1 and 2, it was so clear that April only wanted to be friends with Donnie while she seems to have a slight crush on Casey and in season 3, she still made that clear but then...she kisses him?

Which is it April?!

DONNIE?

OR CASEY?

DONNIE?!

OR CASEY?!

I just feel like in that moment, April just made everything more confusing, and I really hope she did not kiss him out of pity, and she was just very touched with what Donnie said. (The worst thing you can do to someone is be in a relationship with them out of pity and that's every kind of relationship, honestly.)

However, despite that, ever since that day, Donnie has backed off, showing how much, he has grown and matured. Though he does occasionally slip up and still has feelings for April which he still sucks at hiding as you can see, but he is no longer trying so hard to impress her or making her uncomfortable.

He is now only focusing on being her friend more than trying so hard to be her boyfriend.

And the rivalry between him and Casey, slowly but surely began to go away. Now, when they argue or fight, it is no longer over April but just two friends who just liked to buttheads.

Now that the pressure is finally gone, April was given the space and time she needed to discover her own feelings, though it still took a bit.

Their relationship finally begins to move forward, no longer as awkward or as cringe as before. The two are still best friends and they seem to have deep care for each other.

Then....the crystal.

It was clear to everyone that April was obsessed and addicted to the power. However, no one could tell her nothing!

Despite Splinter's scoldings over the crystal, despite Leo's warnings, and Donnie's concern, April refused to listen to either of them.

After so many years of being the weakest link, constantly underestimated, and easily taking advantage of, you can kind of understand why April became so easily addicted to the power. She did not want to go back to that. Even if she is a kunoichi now, April was still insecure about her new abilities and still thought that all she was good for on missions was her powers.

When April began to lose her mind and lose complete control over the crystal, that is when Donnie stepped in. He was determined to help April defeat the crystal.

In the past, Donnie seemed to be the only one who knew how to comfort and get April to calm down but this time....he couldn't.

April literally blew up Donnie! Leading to believe she had killed him because he kept trying to get in her way. The pain was so much that it got April to gain control for a little bit, only for it to quickly be replace by the demon.

The turtles and Casey began to lose hope for April in that point, neither of them liked it or wanted to do it but they had to take her down. However, neither of them could go through with laying a single figure on her, so in pleading desperation, they tried to once again get through to her, but they failed until Raph said, "Remember Donnie!"

Finally, April got the strength she needed when she remembered Donnie. The one who was always there for her and that moment, is when April finally began to realize her feelings for Donatello.

You can say that she didn't realize what she had until she lost it. Thankfully, Donnie was ok and moving forward, we see the two of them getting closer and slowly starting to be more than friends.

So... yeah, April and Donnie's relationship was for sure a complicated rollercoaster. They were not passionate for each other like RaMona, they were not honest with each other like Splinter and Tang Shen, and they did not share a bond as strong as ShiniRai.

It took these two some time to get there, showing us that some love, comes over time and starts off with friendship. It is not something that can not be forced or won.
