Pride
Rohan Kishibe x male reader
»Fandom: Jojo’s bizarre adventure - Diamond is unbreakable
»Requested (by @nioichin): What would Rohan be like if he's with a male s/o whose personality entirely different from his? How did they even get together in the first place? ((Basically I'm asking for Rohan headcannons. Feel free to ignore this if you want, no worries. Thank you nonetheless and stay safe!))
»Warnings: mentions of violence and injuries, also serial killers
»Author's Note: I had way too many ideas for this... I feel like this is a mess. I also couldn’t think of a title, I’ve been sitting here for 20 minutes thinking about it
Headcanon suggestions are open :)
You can find a link to my Masterlist in my bio
Rohan noticed you during the hunt for Yoshikage Kira. At that time, he was looking for new inspiration for his manga and fellow stand users were the perfect source for that. There was one stand user who stood out to him though, and that was you
At that time, he was not entirely sure why. Maybe it was your intentions, the reason why you joined the group to find the killer. In contrast to Rohan’s intention, which he claimed was his curiosity and the chance to write the perfect story with this situation as inspiration, yours were pure. You wanted to protect your community, make sure that your friends and family, even complete strangers, were safe
Rohan respected courage and kindness. It was what he respected about Koichi as well (though that respect was not really mutual)
Rohan ended up asking you, who he deemed to be the only competent citizen of Morioh besides himself, to help him investigate Kira
Together, you snooped around the city, taking pictured of men who might had had their lives stolen by the serial killer
During the time you spent together, Rohan watched you closely. Something about you fascinated him, but he was not sure what it was. He ended up convincing himself that it was solely because you were a fellow stand user (and after all, stand users seemed to attract one another in some way) and that you might be an interesting source of writing materiel
Rohan wanted to read you. He did not care about privacy or boundaries being disrespected. He wanted to use Heaven’s Door and find out what it was that made you so interesting to him, but-
“That kid Josuke,” you interrupted his train of thought. “He told me about your stand. I just wanted to tell you that I’d appreciate it if you didn’t use it on me.” You gave him a sweet smile
“Josuke, huh?” Why did you smile like that? He wanted to understand. “Yeah sure, whatever.”
Rohan was not the best at social interaction. His rudeness and bluntness as well as his arrogance bothered the people around him but the mangaka could not care less. But you seemed satisfied with his dismissive answer
The weeks passed by, and Rohan was kind of glad that his only social interactions were not limited to three stupid high school kids anymore, but that there was you now. He had to admit that being around you brought him joy. You seemed to enjoy his company and you did not even mind posing for his sketches when you had lunch together during your search for more information. You two had even teamed up to fight one or two enemy stand users, which brought you closer together
There was one battle in particular that stuck with him, though. Josuke, Rohan and you had gotten away with minor injuries, nothing too bad and nothing that Josuke needed to fix. But then, Josuke and Rohan got into a disagreement after defeating an enemy, and as Josuke was leaving, he spat one last insult back at Rohan
“Arrogant”, “asshole”, “narcissist”. That was what Josuke had called him. Nothing that Rohan would usually worry about, but he quickly looked into your direction and searched for something in your expression. He wanted to know if you agreed with Josuke, if you too thought so little of him
Reading your expression was impossible, though. But he wanted – no – he needed to know. What did you really think of him? Asking was not an option, Rohan would never allow himself to be vulnerable and weak. As you turned away from the scene, Rohan took his chance
“Can I see your hand?” He reached out and grabbed your hand before he even got an answer. “You’re hurt. That idiot Josuke didn’t heal all of your wounds.” As he brought your hand closer to his face, he turned your palm into pages of a book to skim through what was written in your thoughts. He could not stop himself as he turned the pages in the mere fraction of a second
“He has a good heart, I know that.” “Josuke is wrong.” “Rohan is a decent person.” “If I’m being honest, I like-”
He was not able to read the rest as you pulled your hand back. “What the hell are you doing?” It was the first time he heard you being angry
“I- I can explain.” He could not, but maybe, if he just wrote some stuff in your book you might forgive him
“I guess Josuke is right after all.” You did not look back at him as you walked away
Rohan was not used to losing, so losing you bothered him. Maybe it was because he missed you, maybe it was because he did like you in some way, but Rohan would never admit that. And instead of facing his feelings or you, and thus damaging his pride, he got lost in his work again
Though, it did not take long for him to realize that something about him had changed. Rohan found himself sketching you while he was warming up or practicing, and instead of throwing those sketches out, he collected them. Maybe he did like you after all. Maybe he was not only interested in you because of your stand. He allowed himself to have those thoughts for the first time
Rohan was not sure how, but he did end up calling you after a week or so, asking you to meet him at Tonio’s, so he could apologize over some Italian food
Apologizing was hard, to say the least. It went against everything that Rohan thought his personality to be: pride. He had thought about what to say, he had taken notes, but when he was sitting at that table with you, he was at a loss of words
“Y/N, I- I wanted to-”, he found himself stuttering, not knowing what to say at all, his frustration growing. “I wanted to apologize, I guess.” He wished he could use Heaven’s Door on himself to make him say everything he needed to. “What I did wasn’t right. I shouldn’t have done that.”
Desperately waiting for a reaction, Rohan shifted around in his chair, his fingers drumming on the wooden table, but they were stopped by another hand covering his, squeezing lightly. “Thank you for apologizing, Rohan. I appreciate that.”
There it was, the smile he loved so much – to draw, of course
“And I have to apologize too. I didn’t mean what I said back then.” Now it was Rohan’s turn to smile. “Yeah I know, I read it back then.” – “Read what?” He put his hand on yours. “Let’s write our own story from now on, together.”

Another JoJo Mall Fanfic™ -- Rainforest Café (Part 1)
Part 5, Part 4 and Part 2 Spoilers!
"Y-YOU! YOU'RE THE ONE WHO STOLE MY LUGGAGE!"
Giorno gulped. The short boy stalked over to him, glaring daggers.
"I haven't forgotten about you, I hope you're ready to pay me back."
Echoes' summoning was stopped by a hand on his shoulder.
"Koichi, dude, are you alright?"
"Yeah, Okuyasu, I'm fine." He trembled in anger. "Unless you wanna help me put this blond son of a bitch in his place."
"Ohhh."
A bass-boosted fart could be heard as a blue figure appeared.
"Why didn't ya tell me sooner? Whose ass are we gonna kick first?!" Okuyasu cracked his knuckles.
"That blond bastard, who else?"
"Uhmm...Which one?" He whispered.
"Huh?"
It was then that Koichi noticed the much, much taller -- 'And scarier!' -- blond male sitting across from Giorno. And he did not look amused.
"Are you done yet, piccolino?"
"Wha- what?"
Caesar sighed. "I would just like to get my order without any trouble, if that's not too much to ask. However," his green eyes narrowed.
"If it's trouble you're looking for, then I'll be glad to indulge you."
His chair fell over as he stood up. Maintaining his glare, he spread his arms as a large bubble formed between them. Anticipating a fight, the two teenagers defensively posed, shouting their stand names. Caesar was just about to strike before Deus Ex Josuke appeared.
"Guys, as much as I would love to help right now, there's people here. . ."
Koichi's blood ran cold. He had the sense to immediately call back Echoes and nervously regain his composure, straightening his pose. Okuyasu, however, did not.
"So what?? Everyone should see this asshat get a well-deserved beatdown!" He growled.
"Okuyasu, no." Josuke pulled his best friend aside and leaned into him.
"I know you mean well, but we're probably gonna get fired -- and I don't wanna make my great-gramps sad!" Josuke slightly teared up at the thought.
Okuyasu's face flushed in embarrassment.
"I don't wanna, either! I-I'm so sorry, Josuke!"
He began to sob on the spot.
"I-I'll do better next time!"
"It's alright, man, just calm down a little." Steak-hair patted his back.
Everyone within a ten-foot radius stared wide-eyed at the scene. Even passerby stopped for a few good minutes! Josuke slowly got up and let go of Okuyasu, facing the crowd. He knelt down and waved his hands vigorously.
"Aaaaand, SCENE! Uh, we hope everyone liked it!"
Crickets.
He smiled from ear -to-ear, sweat beading down his temple. A lone clap sounded from the middle of the restaurant. A few more claps were soon drowned out by diners resuming their meals and their conversations. Josuke let out a relieved sigh.
He looked around to see if anyone else was staring -- 'Nope!' -- then proceeding to step towards Caesar, looking him square in the eye.
"Next time you mess with my friends, you may not be so lucky."
Caesar smirked and returned his icy stare.
"That doesn't sound like much of a threat, coming from someone like you."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
Caesar looked him up and down. "Look at yourself. . .A teenage delinquent, working at the only 'high-paying' job that'll accept you, picking fights with those obviously more experienced than you."
"You don't know how many fights I've been in!"
"Hm, no, but with that attitude, I can guess."
"Wanna find out?" Josuke grinned.
Caesar cocked his head to the side, the boy seemed familiar, but he just couldn't put his finger on it --
"Yoo-Hoo! Caesarino!~"
Caesar groaned and turned around.
"Hello, JoJo -- DIO MIO, JOSEPH, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU WEARING?!"
"It's my old outfit! I needed it for my job and it still fits perfectly!" He laughed heartily.
His friend buried his face in his hands. Joseph took this as a sign to flex in front of him.
"Whaddaya think?~"
Caesar pushed him away. "Awful, awful, everything's awful. If you're gonna dress in drag, you should at least do it right."
"HEY, that's what Jolyne always tells me!"
"And she's correct. Ugh, JoJo, you could have at least shaved your beard."
"But I think my beard makes me sexy. . ." He pouted.
"It does, but that's beside the point --" Caesar froze.
No, absolutely not, this was the last thing he needed today. The day had started off so badly already, he couldn't have Joseph knowing his secret, too! It would all be too much!
Thankfully, Joseph broke the silence quickly. Grinning, he posed some more.
"Sexy, eh? You really think so?~"
Caesar tried his hardest to sound annoyed. "If you say so, JoJo."
"Ah, but you're the one who said it.~ So, d'ya really think so?"
The Italian pulled his face away from his hands to get a look at Joseph. He didn't really need to look at him for so long to see that he was handsome, but he really needed to save his skin right now. So he eyed Joseph from different angles: profile, front, three-quarters view, even worm's eye view!
This went on for longer than expected, and Joseph began to whine.
"C'mon, you already got a good look, just tell me already!"
Begrudgingly, Caesar moved his eyes away.
"I guess so."
"Really?!" Joseph beamed.
He nodded. "I mean, I think Suzi --"
Inwardly, he groaned. He hated to think it, he hated how it sounds, and most of all he hated to say it, but he couldn't risk raising Joseph's suspicions. Or worse, risking their friendship.
"-- I really think Suzi thinks so."
For a moment, Joseph seemed surprised -- and a bit disappointed? No, must've been Caesar's imagination. He rubbed at his neck and shot Caesar his signature grin.
"Haha, well, thanks! I hope she thinks so!"
He placed an arm around him. Caesar jumped lightly at the contact. He knew it was friendly, something he was used to, yet he couldn't help but feel so wrong after what just happened. It wasn't fair to think about having a chance with his best friend when he already had a life to live, a wife and a kid, and a grandkid, for crying out loud!
And he had. . . Well, nothing. Any chance he had before was snatched away so abruptly. When that bright light enveloped him and he found himself laying on the Earth's soil again, he was ecstatic! He expected to find everyone else in the same situation, waiting to reconnect. Embarrassingly, the first person he thought of was Joseph.
Oh, Joseph. That lovable, goofy bastard had no idea just how much he missed him. He had planned everything out -- how he'd introduce himself, how he'd explain his chance at a new life, how he'd spill his heart out to him and say what he never got a chance to say, and, hopefully, how he'd grin and say he felt the same way. And it'd all be uphill from there.
However, he did not plan to run into Lisa Lisa first. And he did not plan to sit down and catch up with her over tea. And he did not expect her to be the one to catch him up on what had happened while he was gone.
And he certainly did not expect Joseph to be married and have a kid.
The deep ache in his gut was incomparable to the pain he endured before his death, and it still haunted him whenever that damned memory was brought up.
Much like now.
Caesar smoothly moved Joseph's arm back to his side. Before he could dwell on the thought any longer, he changed the subject.
"So, what brings you here?"
"OH! I just wanted to see my son!"
"Your son?. . .I thought you had a daughter. . ."
Joseph smiled sheepishly. "Uh, yeah, about that. . .Let's just say, I don't think Suzi'll ever trust me the same again. . ."
Caesar's eyes widened. Inappropriately enough, his heart fluttered. Maybe he'd have a chance?
'No! He doesn't need his marriage damaged any further!'
While he was still deep in thought, Joseph brought over a familiar angry teen.
"Ta-Daaaa! This is my darling baby boy!"
Caesar did a double take. Oh, he couldn't be serious --
"T-this is your son?!"
"You bet! Doesn't he look just like me?" He brought the poor boy's face against his cheek.
"A chip off the ol' block!"
"Dad, stop it." Josuke averted his eyes.
"Awwww, but it's true! Isn't it, Caesarino --"
He scanned the room, searching for him. "Caesar?"
He found him by the aquarium, making his way to the bar.
"Oi, Caesar! Don't you wanna say hi to Josuke?"
Caesar reluctantly turned around. "Maybe some other time, JoJo. My lunch break is almost over, and I'm still waiting on my order."
"Oh, the pink girl and blond boy took it."
"Huh?"
"The pink-haired girl and the blond boy, they took your food." Repeated the elf-eared bartender.
"Oh, thank you. Where'd they. . go. .?"
The bartender pointed to the west of the mall.
"Ah, grazie." He made his way there.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Trish had gasped once Caesar stood up, ready to fight, but soon lost interest once Josuke showed up and started speaking.
"So boring."
She and Giorno sat silently the entire time. There wasn't much to talk about, and she didn't recognize anyone else (yet), so she passed the time counting down the minutes.
She had attempted to ask Giorno about why the midget had a vendetta against him, but he just responded with an "I don't want to speak about it."
'Tch. You're no fun.'
Then Joseph appeared and she giggled. It was so much fun to see her usually stoic co-worker get so flustered by the old man, and it was amusing for a while.
That is, until he didn't make a move.
She spent the rest of the time reading over the specials pamphlet. Luckily, she soon heard a small "Excuse me, Ma'am."
"Hm?"
A tiny, tall-haired boy anxiously held up a stack of To-Go boxes.
"H-Here's your order."
"Oh! Thank you."
He hurriedly mumbled and speed-walked over to the waiter from earlier. Shrugging, she and Giorno stood up to leave. Once they realized Caesar would be a while, they exchanged glances and walked out of the place.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Caesar found them sitting on the fountain, digging into their food. They nonchalantly looked up.
"Sorry, we just couldn't wait any longer."
"It's fine. Sorry I took so long."
Trish smiled. "Even with how long you took, you still couldn't flirt with him good enough."
". .Shut up. Let's go get Suzi's wings."

So, me and my sister have been told several times (Mostly by strangers) that we are very similar physicaly (We are, only 'Enough' to tell we are Related) but sometimes I am just WTH: She's my sister, I. Know. It, don't you have eyes to tell who's who??? Anyway, can I ask for BucciG/DIU (I can't decide:3) if they found out S/o has a twin but gets mistaken by S/o and vice versa? Even joking 'guess who's who'🤣 :3 (Lov yu, thank yu!)
Hiiiii! :3 Pppfff, I loved this request :,D Ok so! I chose to go with DIU crew, I hope it’s fine! Here we go, I hope you’ll like it :3
Beautiful duwang find out that their s/o has a twin who gets mistaken for their sibling and vice versa
(Under the cut for length!)
Josuke Higashikata
Josuke, frankly, can’t understand how and why his s/o is continuously mistaken for their twin. C’mon, they’re so unique, how can someone not recognize them?! This until he actually met their twin, and… well, he has to acknowledge they’re really, really similar. Almost identical! He hopes to be able to tell who’s who by their voices, but luck seems not to be by his side; their voices too are really similar!
He’d find it fun, t first, sometimes he’d joke with them, sometimes he’d laugh when he has been played. It’s a prank, all in all, why should he get mad at it? He comes to grow fond of his s/o’s twin too and they even help him if he wants to organize a surprise for them or to buy them a present; all in all, no one knows them better than their twin! It’s like acquiring a sibling and partner in crime: their crime is doing everything to make G/N happy!
It’s all fine, however, until it’s a joke. If he finds out that someone is seriously -and stupidly- mocking them for real, to the point to make them feel uncomfortable, Josuke’s gonna rampage. It’s even worse than when someone insults his hair! No one can dare to make his precious s/o and their twin feel uncomfortable for… for what? For existing? He finds it so absurd that he doesn’t even lose time trying to talk with the asshole; he just calls out Crazy Diamond to beat the shit out of them and then to fix them. As he likes, of course.
In time, however, Josuke comes to perfectly tell who’s who without batting an eyelash. They’re twins, yes, they’re physically identical, but their behaviour is different, even if they try to act in a similar way, in order to prank him, and now he can recognize it! He always laughs to the point of tears when he sees their identical pouts, when they’ve been unmasked. It’s so funny!
Okuyasu Nijimura
Okuyasu always thought he would have been able to recognize them even among a thousand faces. They’re his s/o, he knows them as he knows himself, how could he not recognize them? When, however, they arrived with their identical twin, he had problems to tell who was who, if he was, maybe, hallucinating, or if it was the work of an enemy stand. he was baffled! he just relaxed when his s/o explained him the whole thing; it was all fine, so!
He’s really nervous to mistake one for the other. He never had to deal with twins, so he doesn’t know if jokes are fine or if even a mistake could offend them! The last thing he wants is to upset his s/o. He needs a bit of time to relax about it and to finally loosen up around them. He starts even to joke, but just when they start it, as he doesn’t want, again, to upset them. His s/o is too important to him!
And, as such, if he hears someone saying bad words at them because they’re twins, or joking too much and too long, to the point to make them upset, Okuyasu will step in, in their defence. He can’t relate on his stand, for those mundane things, as he risks to kill the other, but this is not a problem; Okuyasu learned to defend himself even without his The Hand. He’s pretty good in fist fightings, and whoever has something to say about his s/o and their twin has to first face him!
He always loses it when they’re pranking him with the “guess who’s who” game. He panics and gets confused, ending up giving the wrong answer and, because of this, he grows upset. How can he not recognize his s/o?! What kind of boyfriend is he?! It’s to his s/o, so, to hug him and tell him it’s fine, that they’re not upset because he hasn’t recognized them. Sometimes their parents too still mix them! This usually helps Okuyasu to find again the smile his s/o loves so much!
Koichi Hirose
Koichi considers himself a pretty good observer, so he never really thought he could mistake someone else for his s/o. This conviction crumbled down when he mistakenly greeted his s/o’s twin as his s/o; he was so embarrassed when, laughing, they said they were the twin and not his s/o! How could he make a mistake like this? He wants to exercise, in order not to make it again and to refine his observation ability!
The twins happily agree to be his “guinea pigs”, as they love to joke and prank people. They often startles him with “surprise quizzes” jumping in front of him and asking him to guess who’s who and he has to answer in few seconds, using the details he has observed previously. In time, Koichi becomes more and more able to guess one from the other! He likes it: other than a useful exercise, it’s also a way to know more about his s/o!
It’s all fun and games, however, until someone takes it too seriously and too far, making his s/o and their twin seriously upset with their words. Koichi, once, was a timid boy, but now, after all he endured and his stand’s full awakening, he’s a more firm boy who’s not scared to speak up! And he does so with the asshole(s)m trying, first, to make them apologize or at least to go away with words and, then, if it doesn’t work, he uses Echoes to make them understand to go to fuck around somewhere else. He doesn’t like to use violence, but he’d do everything to protect them!
He grows fond of their twin too. They know his s/o like their hands and they actually helped him a lot to come to know them better, so he’d never be thankful enough for this opportunity. By now, they’re part of the family! And, by now, he doesn’t fall anymore in their pranks; he knows them both too well to mistake one for the other! They always loudly complain, saying it’s not funny, making Koichi laugh in amusement and pride. They have no secrets for him!
Rohan Kishibe
Rohan, as mangaka and, especially, observer, is always searching for new challenges. A particularly complicate landscape to draw, some peculiar expressions, new art mediums… twins. He never had to deal with twins, especially identical twins, but he had always been fascinated by them. He wants to study how they behave, how they can be identical but so unique at the same time… it’s so fascinating!
If they think to easily prank him with the “guess who” game, they’re completely wrong. Rohan is not just an observer, he’s a sharp observer; catching details and what no one seems to see is his job, it’s what makes him the successful and talented artist he is. When they try it, he firstly fake to fall for it, then, when they’re already tasting their victory, he strikes, pointing at his s/o without hesitation. He just smirks at their pouty remarks; like they can fool Rohan Kishibe!
As much as he loves to tease, he doesn’t accept when someone who’s not him tease his s/o and their twin. How dare they?! He’s not going to just stay behind without doing anything, oh no; it’s not in his character. He’d step in, brashly keeping them far from his s/o and their twin and, if the other seems about to fight, Rohan would just call Heaven’s Door out and scribble some good commands on them, before letting them go. It’s sure that, from that day on, that asshole would come closer to Rohan’s s/o and their twin never again.
Rohan would often ask them to pose for him with the same expression or pose. He’s having the time of his life in sketching them and in identifying the small details that makes them different! They too, after his drawing sessions, are fascinated when he tells them what’s different between them: one arches a little more their eyebrow, the other quirks a little their lip… Rohan notices everything. His s/o’s uniqueness is what made him fell in love with them, all in all!
Jotaro Kujo
Jotaro never cared about asking them every detail of their life; he trusts them to say him what they think it’s important, all in all. He’s usually more interest to know everything about people he doesn’t trust, as you never know enough your enemy, but his s/o is among the really few people he wholeheartedly trusts; when they say him they had a twin, he’s sincerely curious, even if he doesn’t show it. Twins… an interesting phenomenon. He’d like to know them.
It doesn’t seem so, as Jotaro always seems to be busy doing something else, but he’s always observing his s/o, when they’re around, as doing so makes him feel at ease. Doing so, he learned a lot of things about them, mostly little habits and quirks that makes him feel at home. So, if they try to playfully play with him taking advantage of their being twins, they have to get used not to win: Jotaro would recognize his s/o among a thousand of twins!
God forgive who even dares to think to joke on them and their twin for long to the point to make them feel uncomfortable. Jotaro doesn’t even need to say anything; his presence alone is more than enough to scare anyone away. Wel, anyone who has brain; if the asshole still insist in being “fun” while making Jotaro’s s/o and their twin uncomfortable, then, he’d use his physical strength to make them understand that it’s really time to go to fuck around somewhere else. He’s not a man of many words, but his actions are unmistakable.
If they’re not loud and don’t bother him while he’s studying, he may grow fond of his s/o’s twin. One thing he really likes is to listen to family anecdotes told by his s/o’s twin; it’s soft, it’s… nice to know such everyday things about his s/o and how they were when they were kids. And who could know them better than their twin? All in all, he’s happy to see how close they are, so much that he even doesn’t grow annoyed when if they still try to play him. They’re still not tired to lose, it seems!
