while I respect your head-canon, doesn't sun and moon have a gender already? aren't they referred as males in many media? because I'm getting so many mixed messages

oooh, this is actually something i've wanted to talk about for a while!!!

so! something really interesting about the daycare attendant is how inconsistent their pronouns (and even their gender) have been across all sorts of media

to start: in the games (both security breach and ruin), the daycare attendant is only ever referred to with it/its pronouns. freddy uses these pronouns for them in sb, so it was theorized for a little bit that maybe this is because he just didn't like them (for some reason), but then once ruin came along and these pronouns were used for them again, it seems like that's just the pronouns they're referred to with!

but here's where our first inconsistency is! because their voice actor, kellen goff, is a man. so that means the daycare attendant has a masc sounding voice, and i believe this is where the majority of people get the he/him pronouns from. (also, their in game file names are called "sunman" and "moonman" respectively, so that's another little thing that points towards them being boys.)

(one last thing to mention about the games is the gendered bathrooms in security breach, which has moon as the mascot for the daycare's men's bathroom, and sun as the mascot for the daycare's women's bathrooms... just a fun thing to mention)

however, that's not the end of it! they're also in a couple books too.

starting with the guidebooks: the afk "security breach files" guidebook uses it/its, while the fnaf encyclopedia uses he/him for both. (but considering the amount of errors this book has i'd actually take that info with a grain of salt).

and in the two "tales of the pizzaplex" stories they're mentioned in, which are "the bobbiedots part 1" and "somniphobia", i believe they're referred to with it/its too? but i don't own the books so correct me if im wrong :p

one final "official" source to mention is all their youtooz merch, which actually uses they/them to refer to both of them, not just the two of them together! which is pretty interesting too

when it comes to online communities though... the majority of fans just use he/him for the dca, because they're typically just perceived as male due to their voice! (though i've heard that before the games release a couple people thought sun was female?) but overall they're widely perceived as masculine, so i can understand the confusion... but i hope this post was able to teach you something!

going to be real bunwitch seems to be pretty happy that scout's going through it. extremely fucked to look at a person in a high stress situation with their personal pets and go "haha i doubt its real but if it is theyre just being dramatic". Like how fucked up is it that the other person mainly involved (bonefarm) who has experience with falsified animal control calls can sympathize with someone they dont even like but bunwitch is just completely shifting the blame off themselves and acting like scout is overreacting. if they werent the ones that did it, it was definitely one of their followers. certainly hope bunwitch doesnt have to worry about any false animal control calls or doxxing anytime soon, because theyre gonna get the exact amount of sympathy theyre giving scout.

Oh I absolutely have no doubt it was them or one of their pals lol. They’ve been pissing and moaning about Scout for days now for absolutely no reason. The last post I saw of theirs before I mass blocked a bunch of these weirdos started off with something like “I don’t get why culling newborn rabbits is bad but mice isn’t” yeah man, Scout didn’t say that though. It’s weird to cull pinkie mice solely for pattern or sex too. The main reason pinkies are culled is that they’re a specific size that makes them an excellent stepping stone in feeding baby carnivorous wildlife. I don’t personally cull pinkies as food because it’s a waste of resources and low in nutrition, but if you’re feeding something like a very small snake you don’t always have that many options since they swallow prey whole making it impractical to simply cut adult mice in smaller pieces. A newborn rabbit of most breeds is similar in size to adult mice and halfling rats so you can much more easily just use those and not have to worry about supplementing with calcium or anything. Rabbit meat in general is so low on fat it’s a bit useless to most carnivores as a food staple unless you have an obese carnivore you need to drop weight off of.

That’s a digression I know, but my point is that bunnyblr weirdos will take any opinion that may conflict with their interests and spin it into their own narrative to organize their pathetic little harassment campaigns.

And your writing feels so much more natural than original, because... I like original stella because how comedical she is in her evilness (hiring killer right before victim right while dinner is a hella funny thing im ready to forgive all sins and oversimplyfying for it), but actually your version of writing is more relatable, and human-looking, and humane to her. And show her as not a pure evil i love it, since Stella in canon (and fanon because her poor writing) just made into a joke... And it honestly is the thing i don't like.

It felt soo cathartic just to write it and I’d recommend anyone who hates a scene to just rewrite it on your notepad or something because that genuinely helps. The inclusion of Octavia and how his gross sexual exhibitions affect her also felt very important to me. Because he refuses to ever accept it.

Thank youuu for picking my neurons hehe. Writing Stella is interesting because she’s such a blank slate, but there’s so much untouched subtleties. Her rage tendencies, her need to have money, an obsession with parties and stimulation, clearly the only source of excitement in her life.

Where are the moms who kill husbands? Stella is the only one, and this action makes her the next mom on the chopping block apparently. Crimson murders his wife and gets yaoi made of him despite the fact that he’s straight.

I too wish there was some semblance of a punk scene but everything gets labelled goth instead. Kindve a shame. And you’re right they don’t behave like birds at all, there’s no clever animal puns or character work being done. Swans peacocks parrots owls ravens? Why?

I wish Stella could be a character, while having her occasional moments of petty villainy and comedy. Stop trying to force a comic relief character to be this Uber serious abuser or whatever. Her story is just as sad as stolas in many ways and there’s no getting around it. The projection of amber heard hate onto her is so childish.

how different are the anime and manga? are there certain things you like about one more than the other?

very different, like night and day. i'll leave season 2 (kyoto saga) aside and just talk about season 1, since the movie is a side/non-canon story (i really love it tho) and season 2 is like 90% canon (minus the last episode with that scene where rin & yukio talked. in the manga it was a whole mini arc with them talking to eachother amidst a fight with high tension, rather than them just chilling by a river lmao)

the most apparent scene that was different from the anime & manga was the first chapter/episode 1-2, where shiro died. the anime made it into a pretty fascinating & exciting intro to the series, with rin getting hired as a grocery store clerk, and ending with a battle against demons coming after him. where the manga, while still at its core having the same important moments (rin looking for a job, having delinquents jump him, and shiro getting possessed), it was really just a sad scene with no one except himself, shiro & satan bearing witness to the events of that night. out of fear he caused his father's possession/death, he never speaks about it to anyone. so no one really knows how that night unfolded. unlike the anime having the priests see everything (kinda awkwardly) and then later yukio showing up.

the manga really expands upon & fleshes out the characters, whereas the anime (s1) really.. flanderizes them. i think yukio is the most painful example, he is very much not the irrational "all demons are evil" kinda guy, hes truly just a kid indoctrinated into the exorcists mindset since he was 7, but the anime never really showed how nuanced and deep he is, so he became a punching bag for people to easily/mindlessly hate. also, he is NOT a half demon like rin. he's fully human just with some..Peculiarities lol (iykyk)

anyways, blue exorcist truly shines as a slow burn story, we are 145 chapters in (with the next chapter being just a few days away) and have only just now touched upon the aspects that the final parts of season 1 showed. but it is completely different, in almost every aspect. yet you can still see the resemblances to the anime, i wont get too into it for spoilers, but yk the scene with rin's sword breaks? in the anime they repaired it & everything was fine again. but in the manga, rin permanently changes from it abruptly being broken. for better and worse. afterwards, it becomes a whole underlying character arc.

season 1 was like the story's blueprint, its building blocks in a sense. the manga is truly where it shines, letting the characters grow and each have their own moments & developments before things get really heated within it's world.

it also divulges into the lore in almost a philosophical level: what really are demons & humans, are they truly so different from eachother? with rin being the focus of this question as people say he is Both human and demon and yet simultaneously being Neither at the same time.

the world building becomes expanded upon, by leaps and bounds. we see how the order/exorcists really operate. we find out What demons truly are, and their real reasons to be against humans. we find out what really happened during the blue night and what lead up to that. the world feels more open & wide, and everything feels so intertwined.

it also touches upon some VERY dark and heavy subjects, becoming more and more dark as it progresses. from mental illness, trauma & generational trauma to war, suicide, human experiments & corrupt organizations. and yet despite this darkness it still sends a good message that despite things being bad, its still worth it to keep living. and the author just knows the perfect moments to grab people by their heartstrings with it.

s1 is not Bad per-se, sometimes im harsh on it due to me personally being obsessed with the manga's canon. it does have its cute filler scenes (i actually love that rin got a grocery job in episode 1) and its pretty enjoyable as a cute fluffy feel-good anime. i first watched the anime+movie as a kid in 2015 and loved it, but it felt like it had far more potential. which is where the manga DELIVERED, by leaps and bounds.

however, now that the anime is focused on adapting it faithfully, this will change within the future. especially once get more canon episodes compared to the vast amount of manga content lol. but until then, i suggest to check out the manga 🫡

honestly its a hard thing to advise because i quite literally just brute force 90% of things in my life out of spite. but i think just internalizing it is a good first step?

like. writer's block is. how do i phrase this. it's just a term we have invented for feeling "stuck." which can be useful, except... it has now kind of taken on a life of its own, where people kind of talk about it as if it is... a condition? something that you can "come down with" so to speak. but in reality all it means is that you are stuck. something isn't working.

why are you stuck?

that's the thing to figure out. some people get stuck by many things. some people are only ever stuck via one thing. but when you chalk it up to "writer's block" what you are basically doing is giving yourself an excuse to not examine it further. you are saying to yourself, well, it's writer's block, hopefully it passes soon. and you are taking away the agency from yourself to help it pass, giving yourself over to the whim of it. you are relenting.

i am bad at relenting.

this goes hand in hand with the other thing that annoys me to hear people talk about--"inspiration." a lot of writers consider this to be an opposite of writer's block, so to speak. sometimes its inspiration, sometimes its motivation, but much like with writer's block, they consider it this kinda nebulous cloud that settles over them and oh! suddenly they can create!

this, again, takes away the writer's agency. they are simply at the behest of writer's block and its opposite, motivation. internalizing this mindset pretty much guarantees that your output will stagger. that terrifies me. the idea that i must go long swaths of time waiting to feel "inspired" or "motivated" sounds like hell. writing, creating, making something is what keeps me alive, and i think if i stopped i'd die.

so, once again i reiterate: what writer's block is, is a writer being stuck. the writer needs to unpack why they are stuck. instead of just saying 'oh lol its writer's block' and leaving it at that.

for me, what i thought was "writer's block" was actually perfectionism and a dissatisfaction with how the story looked in my head vs how it came across on paper. i felt the words i was putting on the page did not match the story i wanted to tell, and i would lock up and feel foggy and uninspired. but when i did that, i was angry, because it felt like giving up, and i fucking hate giving up. i hate failing even more than i hate being stumbling and imperfect.

more than that, i was writing nothing. i came to a conclusion: as i grew as a writer, my standards would shift and change. therefore, there will never exist a timeline where i am 100% satisfied and proud of everything i've ever written. furthermore, this paralytic fear of not telling the story i wanted to tell meant i wasn't telling a story at all. i was setting myself up to fail regardless, so i may as well tell a story while i do it.

the choice came down to, write hundreds of shitty words that were not up to my own (impossible) standard, or write nothing and hope and pray that one day i feel "inspired" enough to get the story in my head out. from a purely logistical standpoint, i think anyone can see which outcome is favourable.

and then i wrote stuff. and, uh, it turns out literally no one feels the same about my writing as i do. i think it sucks shit but everyone else LOVES it and thinks its top tier. which, again, just logically that tells me that my opinion is biased--i'm sitting with the story all day, so it looks predictable and uninspired to me. but no one else has that viewpoint. everyone else is just eating that shit like candy. again, just logistically, this makes it a lot easier to talk down the voice in my head that says i'm not making good enough art. i can just give it a chocolate candy and be like, calm down, little thing. clearly i am.

so to loop it back around: writer's block is just a term people use as a crutch to avoid examining why they feel unable to write. i personally found that saying instead what i am actually struggling with literally instead of chalking it up to some nebulous affliction made me a much more productive writer. i have a general word count i want to make every day and regardless of how i'm feeling i try my best to hit it. and thats why i can just write 45645645 fics all the time like it's nothing.

It'll sound weird I know and I'm sorry that I come anonymously but with how things are, I dont want to get bullied by others for saying it. But as much as I do not appreciate your art, I've had the opportunity to talk to you and you're one of the nicest people in this fandom. You really distinguish yourself like that. Im on multiple platforms so I see a lot of the harassment you go through. Truth is, what makes me mad is that people are getting bullied for having anything to do with you, for *fictional characters*, but I've never seen anyone invest this energy for the actual bad stuff that happen and that are perpetuated in this community. Only a small community of fans raises their finger when there's blatant misogyny or racism for example. And those concern real people, the band itself or other fans that fall victim of them. I do not personally support your art, but I find it very easy to not follow you. And if I was severely offended by it, I'd simply block you. Also how are you responsible if people repost your pieces ?

Ghost fandom will make a fuss about someone they don't like instead of just blocking, but will turn their eyes when there's a bigger problem. The fiction is somehow far more important for ghost fans than actual problems that affect real breathing people. The hypocrisy and audacity are disgusting. They're here doxxing people and threatening them on platforms while acting like they're on the right side.

What irks me is that when I was on Twitter again some time ago , I followed my friends like what a normal person would do right? And they would actually harass my friends. Who did nothing but just followed me.

Like they didn’t even post art, or anything. It’s just that they see that I’m one of their mutuals and the attack starts. I deactivated Twitter because I don’t want anybody to attack my friends just because they have something to do with me.

It’s a weird place isn’t it that when people didn’t get their priorities straight and think that what they are doing are good when in fact it’s straight up harmful.

i have been fighting for my LIFE in this fandom because of my... unique opinions that do not conform with the consensus the fandom has decidedly settled upon. i wouldn't say there is drama in the fandom. it's just that my opinions sometimes trigger people who are out of touch with canon. just like in the marauders fandom, (although, to a much lesser extent) this fandom suffers from Warping The Character Beyond Recognition Syndrome (tm) 🙄

i think a reason why my opinions differ from those of a usual tomarrymort enjoyer is because i like voldemort more than harry.

i know this fandom usually loves harry more than voldemort, so, obviously, voldemort is usually depicted as grovelling for harry which Pisses Me OFF he would NOT grovel for harry what are you people on? 😭

harry is just inflated as being this super special character that voldemort would be suuuper interested in, which i find hard to believe. (in timetravel aus and such.)

i hate the way this fandom treats bellatrix. like, they make fun of bellamort as if tomarrymort doesn't give off the biggest crackship vibes, like brother sit tf down, cause i know You ain't talking.

i hate the character this fandom has warped voldemort into, it's actually sad. he's treated like a freaking clown/a big joke, and i Know fandom isn't that serious, but i just want to see a nuanced, interesting voldemort that has a personality outside of being obsessed with harry.

this fandom can't understand that voldemort has relationships outside harry potter. he is like 50+ years his senior, of course he wouldn't just be an angsty, brooding man waiting to bang harry 😒.

which brings me to my next point. this fandom has such atrocious takeways from canon, it actually hurts. they think voldemort would be obsessed with harry in every timeline, which.... is just not true. without the prophecy, harry is just truly Some Guy who voldemort wouldn't take notice of.

voldemort isn't ever canonically obsessed with anyone in a romantic way. he's trying to kill harry. there's a big difference. voldemort is the type of person to eliminate a threat, no matter what. he isn't suddenly going to be interested in harry because.. *checks notes* oh.. right, he's sarcastic! and.. and witty! and is defiant! sorry this is deranged, i'm just really annoyed.

people saying tomarrymort is peak enemies to lovers grinds my gears because it's not. yes, they are enemies in the sense that they stand on the opposing sides of ideologies and yes, voldemort killed his parents. but that doesn't make harry a worthy enough opponent to be called the Enemy of voldemort. harry's a child soldier. that title is solely reserved for firstly, voldemort himself, and secondly, dumbledore.

i don't know why it's such an unpopular thing to not like harry? i like harry, but not to the same extent as i like voldemort and a lot of people seem to have a problem with that? yeah, that could also be a reason why i'm a polarizing figure XD

Last postttt honestly and seriously but i feel like this needs to be said because this is just pure mean girl behavior! Only posting this because of the unnecessary comment that she posted and the shady posts from her mutual as well. As stated in this post, i never accused her of stealing anything… read the post: “i don’t want to be accused of copying… i should’ve wrote it in 2022” now explain how that sound like any implications. even in the screenshot that i showed on my account, it was in a draft and not posted. the day before i posted this i literally asked a mutual about writing something if someone else was doing it and while they said yeah, EYE just didn’t want anyone to accuse me of copying, since i have to keep repeating that fact, which was why i made the post just expressing how i felt.

But regardless of the situation I mainly felt like I need to clear my name because while i never said anything bad about dej this is what im being met with…

Not to mention the goon squad of several people who aren’t in the conversation yet inserting themselves and wondering why im not replying or getting annoyed by the dms they’re sending me or just overall annoyed by the conversation. everyone wants me to hear her out and everyone wanna take her side rather than when i said that wasn’t the case? and trying to force an apology out of me or whatever in an attempt to make me ‘admit’ where i was wrong when the post wasn’t worded in any way that gave malicious intentions.

Then I messaged her like everyone begging me to do because now instead of talking about the situation she’s talking about me and now im blocked (even though i admit i was rude but i don’t like it when people try to come for my character), messaged her mutual as well and got no response even though since i sent the message it has shown she was active lol.
