Hot take: Dante! He has so much 'I pretend I have sexual and romantic attraction because society' energy to me.

I think it's funny if Trish in DMC 1 was instructed to use her body to get Dante to go to the island, but he literally only went for revenge. That's it. And after Dante is like 'I mean, I guess you're attractive? Maybe?' And Lady is completely unbothered by it all.

Alao the idea that Vergil thought Nero was Dante's kid would be the funniest shit to everyone except Vergil. Like you think that Dante had sex? That he was in a romantic relationship? Bruh, you really haven't been in his life.

A side effect at this is that Dante gives really good romantic advice because he's always objective. Nero will pine over what to wear to see Kyrie and Dante'll say 'Just wear what makes you comfortable, if she loves you, which she clearly does, she wouldn't want you to be uncomfortable.' And then he takes a bite of pizza, completely unfazed.

Patty also uses this trait of Dante's to full effect, often using him as a vibe checker. because his instincts are just that good.

I wrote probably the most on brand piece for a very cool publication called Ballads of the Distant Reaches, in which all of the stories take place in (and build the lore of) the same fantasy world. Mine is the story of a former magical arms dealer turned priest of chaos on trial for treason following a siege of the capital by his former collaborator. (Like I said, very on brand.) I got to write some absolute bastards in some absolute shit situations, and also a very fun description of a realm of chaos. Check it out!

All the Eds have issues in their home lives, but there is something about Edd’s family situation that I just find endlessly fascinating. Just really delving into the complicated baggage surrounding it, and how uniquely fucked up it is.

The fact that there is so much distance and lack of communication between Edd and his parents really brings up a lot of questions about WHAT their actual interactions are even like. I mean, while they are largely absent (even for a show whose whole premise does not include parents being visible), it is implied that they, or at least one of them comes home. Do they even talk to their son when they are there?

I think the thing that really gets me is that, while yes they do supply for their son’s physical needs: a comfortable home, food, etc. the emotional needs are completely neglected. Which speaks to a super specific, entitled suburban kind of disinterest that I find uniquely cruel.

Afraid not. I think the closest we have is the information that Felix/ Adrian's family owned a hotel (this is before he was made into the villain's son.) A lot of early and even current ladybug is pretty focused around Marinette. Nathan-Felix-Adrien as a character is shockingly inconsequential to the narrative as a whole. (Which is probably why he was so easily edited throughout development whereas Marinette stayed pretty consistent.... And is also apparently still the case from what I've heard of the recent season.)

You can actually really see a lot of the inspiration that it transferred to the agreste mansion... But it also lost a lot of style and flair. Richard had a lot of art deco inspiration in the buildings associated with his character. And you can kind of see that in the hotel piece here. It's all connected, at least I believe it is.

It makes sense that the current one is frustrating. It's a mix between " oh this is what a fabulously wealthy teen boy would like" being full of video games and literal arcade machines, but still having like no personality? Like it's big. Because Adrian is rich. And it's like... Largely undecorated because Gabriel is like a minimalist or whatever... Except for all of the stuff that Adrian has because he's rich. And that's literally the end of it.

Edit: If I were to fathom a... A room that does line up with that hotel era then I would do something like this, except with more whites and golds rather than blue... Or just tailor it to however the cat's relationship to his father is.

Honestly, can we please take a step back and laugh over how absolutely hilarious the spectrum that is humanity? This turned into a bit of a tangent so the muskrat dragging will be under the cut.

Like, on one hand we have Elon Musk who is throwing the world’s biggest, most publicized temper tantrum over random internet strangers being mean to him and rightfully calling his bullshit out. This man is trying so hard to cover his tracks after buying Twitter and time after time after time again he keeps being his worse enemy. If he would just shut his mouth and stop giving the rest of the world fuel to clown the fuck outta him, Twitter wouldn’t be actively burning to the ground in real time right now. Sure, these memes are incredibly funny and I am very much thriving over these homefires, but I do feel bad for those who relied on Twitter for business like small artists. This is only the iceberg tip of his vileness, mind you.

Moving on, on the other side of the spectrum we have the backbone of our society, truly the peak, dare I say the PINNACLE of humanity- softly apologetic ao3 writers. Literally some of my FAVORITE ao3 experiences is opening up the update and seeing author’s notes like, “I’m so sorry I haven’t updated in a while, my cat’s ovaries exploded and on the way to the hospital I got into a major car crash but don’t worry the doctor who took care of me was amazing and next thing you know we’re wives now with like, two kids and yes my cat is perfectly fine after all of this time.” Obviously this is a dramatization, but we all know and have seen those authors who literally went through the most traumatic, the most absolutely life-changing shit and STILL genuinely apologize to their readers for?? For what??? Not updating this Wenclair Griddlehark AU 200k words enemies to lovers slowburn??? Weird, but it seems to be in reference to the We Will Be Reunited quest. So maybe it was added to the game after that. But if memory serves me right, in the wiki this is listed as a Sumeru "tip." So it was added in Sumeru I guess. It also showed up while I was teleporting to Sumeru so that makes sense.

No idea what else it could be referencing too. I don't know when this was added to the game. Because sometimes the tips change based on the progress in quests I believe. (I think there is one about Rukkadevata like this). The only other thing I think it could be connected to is the Caribert quest or the Aranara.

I am assuming A Message for "You," you in quotation refers to the traveler not the player, hence the quotations. The abyss sibling's message to the traveler or just a message from Teyvat to the traveler. The traveler gives Teyvat hope, etc. Interesting if it is, because its kinda a direct reference to bad things coming to Teyvat, which was kinda clear already. Who knows?
