Ryou is the Head Witch in charge of Familiar Home, a sanctuary for abandoned and rejected familiars.

Marik comes in search of the familiar he'd once rejected, hoping to make amends.

Angstshipping is the main focus, however all Conspireshipping configurations are present.

If you want a peaceful read, this is it! I was able to read this in a few day’s time, but I’m sure you could binge it easily in one sitting too. Just as the description and tags say, this is a witch & familiar au, and a story about healing from past trauma. It’s a sweet little tale about making amends and forging new relationships while moving forward, definitely give it a try :)

Angst is the main Conspireshipping flavor present, followed by Tender and then the others (yay great big polycule!!).

The fic I binged in just around a day and a half!! I can’t believe I did that but wowwee, this fic was hard to put down 😂😂 Ryou’s a monster and Amir (Yamima) is human, and we follow our Deathshipping dudes through day to day strife and learn more about their family pasts as time goes on. Definitely has gore elements and body horror elements if that isn’t your thing. It’s a very creative au if you’re into that sort of stuff though, especially with monster seraph!Ryou’s whole shtick and what he has going on in his life! I say give it a try if you’ve got a stronger stomach for reading gory things <3

What is your conspireshipping fic about?

Hello anon!

It's a slice of life post-canon fic. Ryou, Kek (Yamima), Bakura (TKB version) and Marik are all dating and living together. All of them are a different flavor of disaster and suck at expressing their feelings, with some neurodivergent spices to the mix, but they deeply love and care for each other. The story follows them as they all are adapting (more or less) to living a normal life.

There are some light hearted chapters with funny moments and other more serious. If you’re interested, here is the link: Everything that can't be said in four panels

This fic happens in the same au as my conspireshipping comics, Everything in four panels (⬅️this is the link to the post with all the links to all the comic's pages) The comic's story is before the events of the fic but you do not need to read one before the other, the two works can exist separately.

favourite time of the year?

Definitely autumn, but tbh it's all the -ber months in general lol Idk I just love the cosy, spooky, sleepy vibe these months have. I'm also a sucker for seasonal foods and merch and like. Pumpkin? Apple? Chestnuts? Sweet Potato?? All good. That said, I’ve never had a pumpkin spice drink from St*rbucks.

comfort foods?

I don’t know if there’s an agreed English name for this, but 麻辣滷肉麵, which is basically spicy braised pork on soft noodles. I like adding fried egg to it (with runny yolk) when I’m feeling especially depressed 🙃

do you collect anything?

I collect merch of my favourite fictional guy babies :U I think my biggest collection so far is of Link (Legend of Zelda), but I also have a tonne of shelf space (and floor...and cabinet...and bag...and-) dedicated to Re:vale (IDOLiSH7). 

I would have more Malik merch if they actually made some that wasn’t stock art from 2001 🙃 I think my biggest collection from YGO is of Yamima though lol

In terms of non-fandom stuff, I collect teddy bears 🧸

Tea! Specifically jasmine, chrysanthemum, and winter melon.

Green Day, MCR, Porter Robinson, Bump of Chicken, Luck Life, Vickeblanka, Higedan, and uh, DECO*27 and Orangestar. The last two are producers, but yeah lol

Musician and Everything Goes On from Porter Robinson, Cry Baby from Higedan, and Surges from Orangestar. I also listen to Acacia from BoC at least once a week lol

I blame girahimu_sama’s To the Heart for singlehandedly kicking me back into the YGO hellpit after like a decade of being in other fandoms. Like, I’d honestly forgotten how much I adored these characters until I read their fic.

I dunno about favorite, but I know touch is my default. If I know how something feels, I know how I can convey how it might look or smell. Cord, sweat, dirt, they're all things I can

That also comes from my tendency to rely on taste for conveying my own feelings. I'll call stuff delicious or tasty or something I can chew on cuz, like... when I have feelings about something, I feel it in my mouth, on my taste buds. Touch and physical sensation is something that comes easier to write, when I need to think about how something is.

Ooh, okay, so I've got... fuck, so many WIP's..

1) Okay, so there's this guy, right, and he's got a fancy title but he's bored so instead of finding things to do that might be beneficial to the people he has power over, he decides to run weird experiments on himself instead, and hires a weird anarchist vampire to do it, in exchange for a blood flight comprised of the noble peerage who are the reason he has the empty title to begin with, so there's this mutual hatred of the monarchy/noble system in place while also seeing the other person as super antithetical to their beliefs and core values until they b o n e.

2) A lovestruck moron marries someone who eats human flesh and is pretty okay with it, does not hide any of it, neither of them really bother to hide it, but no one finds out because there are just so many better explanations for their bullshit than 'oh, he's a lovestruck moron and the other one eats human flesh'. An Ubume stalks them. One of them has a pretty dangerous love-bite. They definitely fuck. Bonz is there.

3) Precious Rage Brain is kicked out of magic jumanji and hit by a car, so now he's gotta learn how to be stable if he wants to move back into his former bro's head. And that head's got more company than he remembers.

4) Ahhh, DollyFic verse might get more stuff, but the whole series, as it is right now, can be best summed up in this Rick and Morty Clip, seconds 38 to 42

Definitely Three Nights. My only fic w/a sad ending (which is why I wrote Three More Nights b/c I couldn’t handle having a sad ending. I had to fix it.)

I honestly couldn’t say. I’m here to have a good time and to make sure all my favs also have a good time, so I’m always actively trying to give them the happiest possible endings.

Yes. It was kinda funny b/c out of all the fics, it was “Me” a 5k deathshipping one shot that is one of my least popular works. But like...I don’t really think they were *trying* to steal it so much as homage it? But they were too young and unskilled to know how to rework something properly, so it was almost an exact copy of my fic. I tried to go over it and show them how to rewrite parts in order for it to be more original (Like, you can give YM piercings, just don’t give him the exact same piercings. You can have YM play with his hair/clothes/presentation in order to explore his identity, but pick different things that are more unique and how *you* would imagine YM being as his own person, instead of just copying exactly what I did).

There’s an Italian version of Storm of White on ao3 (go kudo bomb it!)

12 - have you ever co written a fic before?

Lots! I love colabs <3 The last one I did was Conspire With You, but there was also A Way Home, and I’ve co-written a few things with SuperSteffy. Please support all the other writers who worked hard on these fics with me! (kudo-bomb the hell out of them)

13 - what’s your all time favorite ship?

I can’t...choose one. Thiefshipping and Deathshipping were my first favorites, but like...damn, Kingshipping and Trapshipping have honestly ruined me. And Arrestshipping...Euroshipping...Rustshipping...Boundshipping...LISTEN!!! If it’s any combination of Seto/Atem/Yugi/TKB-YB/Ryou B/YamiMa/Malik it’s my favorite, okay? I’m a dragon who hoards ships. Especially polyships. I will literally froth at the mouth at any combo of those 7. Now let’s move on to the next question before I add more characters to the list........

14 - what’s a wip that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

That demon/angel au I was working on years and years ago. A shame, since I think there was a lemon that spilled into 3 chapters in that and it’s what Bakura deserves, but the plot was just...meh. 

15/16 - writing strengths and weaknesses

Strengths: Dialogue, sometimes imagery, projecting the right trauma/personality traits on the right characters in a way that can make scenes relatable/authentic. 

Weaknesses: I can be lazy with some plot points b/c it’s fanfiction, and I’m only here to have a good time, so eff it. And I will absolutely “sum up” certain chapters in order to finish a story at 80% potential. Anons used to get on my ass about this, and some commenters too, but I refuse to repent of my hasty ways. I write a lot of stories, and sometimes it’s better to get 3 80% stories out instead of one 100% story (for me. absolutely nothing wrong with ppl who want to write their best all the time. Like, mad respect to those peeps). Anyway, the ppl who complain are 100% accurate, right, and valid, but again, If you call me out on this I’ll just shrug at you and remind you of my commission prices b/c I’ll be happy to personally tailor a story for any angry anon-- if they want to put their money where their critique is *blows kiss*

17 - what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Depends on the context and how it’s used.

FFVII, but I never posted any of it thank god

19- what’s your favorite fic you’ve ever written?

I honestly love so many of my stories. I honestly re-read my own stuff all the time for comfort/self-care. I especially love a lot of the more intense, emotional pwp one-shots. It’s extremely difficult to pick one, but let’s go with humor and link

From Yami Bakura’s Got A Crush

(For those who haven’t read this one on ao3, Yami B’s decided he wants to ask Diva out and it becomes Ryou’s problem! In this segment, Ra (aka Yamima) and Ryou have gotten ahold of him and are trying to do damage control. Subject to possible reworking later, of course.)

“Oh, no, yeah, he was—he was so irresistible, Spirit, just doing nothing and—”

“That’s a shit plan,” the Spirit snapped.

“It is not a shit plan,” Ryou said.

Ra cracked his knuckles together. “Yeah, it’s really not. You either do that or I glue your hands together again, Spirit.”

“Jokes on you!” The Spirit grinned wildly, spreading his arms out wide. “I know Landlord doesn’t want to spend another day at the hospital getting me unglued!”

Shit. That had been one of their best recurring threats. Ryou winced, looking back at Ra—

—but Ra just stared the Spirit down.

“Being with Landlord’s made you soft,” the Spirit said, still grinning, “or have you forgotten that?”

Ra stared.

“Or have you forgotten that?” the Spirit asked again.

(Pal’s long un-updated Spirit vs Ryou in-the-midsts-of-canon fic. Ahh, Pre-Pandemic writing. With the way this was originally written, this was meant to be part of part two—but with the way things are getting re-planned now, I’m not sure how soon this is going to pop up.)

Host, the Spirit said, and then stopped. Ryou—

Ryou yanked the Ring off his neck so hard he was sure the rope would snap. But no, of course not. His hands were too damn weak. He yanked it over his head and plucked hair along the way and chucked it at the other side of the room behind him.

He spent ages heaving through the rush, the throb, the racing in him. Of course, when he went to reach for it again, the Ring was already around his neck.

I’m here, was all the Spirit said.

“Can’t you give me some privacy?” Ryou muttered.

You’re the one who wanted me here.

He didn’t. He did. Ryou clenched his eyes shut, hissing some—choked noise, high out his throat. “Would you just go?” He hated when his voice got this high, this out of his control and vivid— “This is your fault. All of it’s your fault. You’re breaking me and everything’s your fault.”

(Part love letter to the Convention Experience, part love letter to My Brain Cell Buds. Ryou and Yuugi are both trying to fix each other at an Anime/Gaming Convention. The girl group featured here are big fans of Battle City and, as they dub it, the KC Tournaments Lore (which most of Domino calls “The WWE of Dueling.”))

“Big fans of your work,” the girl said, and her friends nodded out of sync behind her.

“Oh yeah.”

“Oh, definitely.”

“Could you do the—” The third girl, if Yuugi remembered right, pointed at her own face with both hands. “—you know, the evil laugh?”

Bakura stared emptily at them. “The evil what?”

“The evil laugh?” she asked again.

“I could, uh, certainly try,” Bakura said, and then coughed and cleared his throat.

The girls leaned in. Bakura glared, and then smiled, and—

Yuugi almost found it spooky how well Bakura was able to mimic the Spirit of the Millennium Ring. His laughter hit home. The girls squealed and laughed and punched at the air and each other.

From a Currently Untitled Angstship Fic

(My second love letter to My Brain Cell Buds. This is meant to be a short snippet-of-life type where Malik accidentally almost runs Ryou over with his motorcycle and Ryou gets Deja Vu. This one’s still subject to reworking later on, as this is currently one of two or three snippets that actually exists, and Malik may or may not need some revision near the end.

At the moment, these two are on the motorcycle and Ryou’s having his Deja Vu.)

“Malik,” Ryou said. “You worked with the Spirit of the Millennium Ring.” But perhaps that was too blunt. Ryou backtracked, stumbling over his words. “Back during, ah, Battle—”

“Battle City, yes,” Malik said. “I did.”

Ryou held himself firm. “I want to know something.”

“What?”

“I feel weird when I’m on motorcycles with you.” Ryou lowered his arms, resting them on Malik’s waist. “And I know it’s not motorcycles. I’ve ridden with Honda before and felt fine. It’s just—”

“It’s just me,” Malik said.

Ryou winced. “Okay, maybe this sounds worse now that I’m saying it out loud.”

“I dragged you around injured and brainwashed on a motorcycle,” Malik said, as if what he was saying were nothing. “It’s probably just bad memories. You’ll get over it.”

Ryou stared at Malik’s earrings. “I’ll get over it.”

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

I would say neurodivergent stuff. *present Yamima*: there is so much I can put in this babygirl. Otherwise, I love to work with found family, and I always need a touch of magic/fantasy in my story.

Romance is also one of my main theme, but not the romantic type, the messy and complex romances with morally grey characters who will bite because they are too scared to feel things, you know.

🍦 What's the sweetest fic you've created so far?

I think my fluffiest works are hidden in my drafts folder, but with my posted fics: some of the chapters of my conspireshipping slice of life fic.

I didn’t post a lot of fluff in my current works honestly. Actually, the sweetest something is, and the hardest it is to write for me. I embarrass myself while writing it and I don't dare posting it. :')

14 - how do you write emotional scenes? Do you ever feel what the characters feel? Do you draw from personal experiences?

I very much have to get into the mindset of the character. And I very much do feel what they feel. I had one scene in my longfic that was already leaving me emotionally wrecked to the point of I could only edit a few lines at a time then have to walk away. Then I got the call that my maternal grandfather had passed. I ended up rewriting the entire chapter because I couldn't continue at that point, but in my opinion the rewrite came out better.

And yeah, I do draw from a lot of personal experience. In the TKB fic when Ryou is comforting Bakhure and explaining about not letting the bad things in life win, those are from my own experiences and how I keep myself moving forward. And Bakhure having that quick snap of spite (No one stole from the Thief King), I too am fueled by spite. Me continuing on when life wants to drag me down is my way of giving all the bad shit a double birdy while walking away (I'M STILL ALIVE BITCH).

16 - How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them?

I've shelved all but my longfic and TKB for the sake of my own sanity. Most of what I have planned are longer and require me to be able to put a lot of focus on (future longfics).

I do have one that I add to on occasion. Sadly it's already at chapter 3 and the other main character still hasn't arrived. I've shared a few small snippets, but the basic idea starts out with Malik and Ryou being in a form of long-distance casual, with only Ryou wanting more and Malik being firmly against it because Ryou is only a stand-in. Then magic causes Yamima to appear and tadaa! Deathshipping!

It's one of those things that has light angst and some fluff, and when I just need something lighter to work on I add to it.

AHH tameshipping anon again i just remembered to ask! do you have any headcanons you have about them that didn’t make it into your current fics?

i have a few!

no matter what universe, I always figure they have a BDSM relationship, although it is very much not Safe or Sane.

In Kill Shot specifically, Bakura's the one who pitched the idea, and they had a very boring, very mundane conversation about it. He mainly suggested it because he noticed Qadir has a pleasure/pain thing. when they went to talk to a professional to get an idea of what they wanted from it, Bakura was instantly clocked as a dom.

I mentioned this in a note at the end of one of their chapters, but their safe word is "tarnished".

in general, outside of Kill Shot, they show affection by kicking each other's asses. it takes a very, very long time for them to be anything other than "the only thing keeping us from killing each other is this insane chemistry", primarily because they're both so removed from human emotion - Bakura because he shares part of his soul with Evil Incarnate, and Yamima because he's so repressed.

Yamima's love language is Quality Time and Bakura's is Acts of Service

HELLO HI this is an invitation to talk about your fics 👀 my eyes are so big

Okay. Okay. Real talk, right? Real talk. I really dig my Body/Life fic and I've been working on writing more of it since... what, I posted it in July, right? Since August I've been working on more of that AU and I...

I really kinda wrote myself into a corner character-wise, regarding follow-ups.

I have a lot of details there that I still like and thus refuse to get rid of. I like the cannibal horror. I like having Amane as Ryou's point of desperation and I have plans for her as a character in this. I like the idea of Bakura becoming super thrown-off by Ryou actually wanting him around/wanting to be married to him, and i like the idea of this insidious demon becoming a crass mess when met with the slightest bit of affection.

Ryou's been the difficult part because while I am a Ryou fan, it must neds be remarked that I am a Bakura simp. One overrides the other and I JUST LAST NIGHT managed to finagle a way into this follow-up that doesnb't have Bakura as an over-swathing focus. Working on AU backstory has helped too, I tend to get a romantic-partner tunnel-vision in romance fics, so this is really an effort for me to break from. Especially since this is a gag horromance. They need to both be strong, on their own, for this to work.

I have legit been working with this for two months now, so it's refreshing to FINALLY have something to work with.

Oh! Also! I still have these prompts from like, September, that I've been working on that I'm STILL working on cuz I like what I've worked on and I wanna work and post em, they're just - oh, these just need a lot of reorganizing. Especially the smut one bakawitch asked for, I've got a solid little dynamic going, but the beginning is weak and I don't like it but I WILL write flippantshipping goddamnit.

God, have you ever liked a ship for years but the dynamic is so rarely explored, and eve rarer well, that you have no idea where to start? That's me with manipula, I love pyro-sea for prompting me manipula, but I've re-written this three times now and I'm just NOW getting a vibe for what the dynamic is and I'm AMPED but also, like - wow, this took some thinking. It took so much thinking that I need to scribble down what i learned so I can reference it. I love them together, I really do. it's my ultimate rarepair and to actually write them is both a learning experience and a great one and also Yamima is here being a shitheel alter which is my favorite way to write this bundle of Anxiety (he has anxiety, fight me).

Actually, ye, let me headcanon at you for a few seconds, Yamima has the 'greater' anxiety problem between him and Malik, mostly because this is a two-alter system and he's the Protector (likely also persecutor, often reformed-persecutor in fics) so he is Malik's anxiety coping mechanism what is HIS, he needs a pill.

But also, getting into the common ground for what I want with this prompt - the prompt was 'you make me wanna be a better person', like, getting that statement between Malik and Anzu and giving it weight that's just not 'Malik wants to reform cuz Anzu pretty' like, no, that's not what I want, that's gotta mean something, y'know? Fuck secrets, i want Anzu to be the one to say it because I want them both to have that moment where they recognize the other as trying for them, trying to be better to be good for them. It's something that - for Malik who loved his father despite everything, and Anzu, who is so grounded and so caring, to hear that? That's something they'd both be touched by, romantic or not.

Also, if I do finish and post this, it will have a barbedshipping follow-up. This, I swear.

...or, at least, I'll work on one.

Let me also say - I always say I peaked with Pantless in Chili's? I've changed my mind, it's my magnum opus in the traditional sense - it was a work to show my masters I was ready to be considered an official fanfic writer, my new peak is Imperfect Investigation, there's a lot of stuff in there that were huge for me, writing-wise, got me over a lot of hurdles and got a lot of good writing habits out of it. Great fic, 11/10 me, I'm my favorite fanfic writer, I'm great.

Cuz, like, I struggle with inciting action that's not, like, garbage? Something to relate them to? I really struggle with it and Taylors always trying to get me to work stuff in and I'm always like 'but that seems so fake and forced' and, like - it's not much but Cigarette Guy was a huge step for me in a good direction. To have something from the environment happen to the characters as a way to get the ball rolling. He means more to me than he means to the fic. I'm proud of my Cigarette Guy. Thanks, Cigarette Guy.

Oh, I also wrote it into the late night until I couldn't function, resulting in an unhealthily low amount of before work , just like Pantsless in Chili's so maybe that's the secret, I dunno.

If I ever return to writing The Earl of Demise - this (potentially post-apocalyptic) mish-mash of time periods vampire period piece - I will be honestly shocked. I'm actually - I need to watch more Vrains so I can - I want a sequel to it already, cuz I want more Chatshipping. Someone who knows Vrains give me a Chatshipping prompt for a Whenever date, please, I need to write Chatshipping at least once, they're perfect for each other.

I have watched One (1) full episode of Vrains and yes, it was dub, and it was Brave Battler.
