"Ruiz prioritizes the safety of his team because he lost someone the last time he was captain"

I’m still not done being angry about the old guard comic ending, now not about characters and story themes being inconsistent but about the fuck ass message it sends.
Basically, they’re leaving Andy because she has a hard time. She doesn’t want to fight anymore, after 6700 years that’s a fair statement to make. She’s in her good right to say that. And Nile comes along with “If you’re doing nothing you’re part of the problem”, which a) is just extremely unhelpful to say to someone who has depression. Andy can’t do anything about it right now, that doesn’t make her part of the problem and b) doesn’t talk about the fact that there are other ways to help and c) that Andy already has helped so much. Lived to fight, for other people. She deserves a fucking rest.
Now, first of all, leaving someone behind because they can’t go on because of depression is awful. It’s ableism, it’s the worst fucking scum of humanity, and I don’t mean getting them help because you can’t help them, I mean leaving them. The team does not have the moral high ground doing this, there is literally nothing good coming from this (which is why I hate the fact I’m supposed to believe the characters would do this but anyway).
I’ve had depression (this year was depression hell for me), my mom had depression, my sister has chronic depression, she takes a lot of meds. We couldn’t help her, we made sure to find someone who can. I’m never going to leave her. I’m going to fight for her to make sure things get better.
Everyone deserves that! The team wouldn’t just give up on Andy.
Now point b) obviously there are other ways to help. The old guard fights because Andy never knew anything else. As she said she’s a warrior, a goddess of war she grew up fighting and thought that’s the only way to solve problems. Now she doesn’t want to fight anymore, which is perfectly reasonable. Doesn’t mean she is doing nothing or has to do nothing.
It’s the whole hobbit concept. The small, nice things the hobbits do, just being normal, decent people, is keeping the darkness at bay. If Andy just went out there, smiled at every person she met, helped someone cross the street, she would already be doing something. Not everyone can fight and saying ‘If you do nothing, you’re part of the problem’ doesn’t account for the people who’re doing their fucking best to stay alive and the fucking minimum to try and pay forward some kindness. Helping someone up when they fall can already change everything. The butterfly effect is in the works all the time and you never know when the tiniest act has the biggest impact.
Andy could go out there (not that she needs to) and go help in a humanitarian organisation, help after natrual disasters, live off grid. It doesn’t matter, it doesn’t make her part of any problem. The first two would help, the last one is just a nice solution and rest that Andy deserves.
And c) now this also goes along with Nile’s anger. They have an argument about slaves because 6000 years ago Andy kept and punished slaves. But she doesn’t anymore. She changed, she spent more time fighting slavers than keeping them, she’s still fighting slavers up until the end of the last issue and she’s done even more as Copley demonstrates so nicely by his research.
She’s paid it back, she’s atoned, she’s suffered (not that you need to suffer to atone). And now she’s done and that’s okay.
But you don’t leave someone behind because they’re having a hard time, because they don’t want to fight anymore, because they’ve lost hope, because they have depression.
Found family is forever.

In the closing minutes of Wales’s Five Nations meeting with France at Cardiff Arms Park in March 1976, the home side were resisting an onslaught by the visitors when the French wing Jean-François Gourdon found some space on the touchline by the north stand. Gourdon was then hit by a shuddering shoulder charge from Wales’s full-back, JPR Williams, that all but sent him spinning into the crowd. Williams raised his fist in triumph and Wales held on to win 19-13 and complete a seventh grand slam.
In truth, Williams’s tackle was far from legal, but the incident remains an indelible image in the minds of Welsh rugby supporters – that and a photograph of the Bridgend No 15 with blood pouring from his face after being trampled by a visiting All Blacks boot. International rugby in the 1970s was not for the squeamish, and JPR survived by being not just supremely skilful, but as hard as nails.
Williams, who has died aged 74 from bacterial meningitis, would forever be known as JPR, the three most evocative initials in the sport. Only France’s Serge Blanco could rival him as the greatest full-back in history. When the law-makers of the international board prevented the ball from being kicked directly into touch in 1968 it gave the opportunity for Williams and others such as Scotland’s Andy Irvine to forge a template for how a modern attacking full-back should play.
The source of Williams’s famous hardness is surprising. Unusually for top-class players in Wales, he came from a comfortable middle-class home. Williams once told of how he turned up at a Wales Schoolboys’ trial in a Rolls Royce. His upbringing, he said served as an incentive “to prove to my mates that I was tough and one of them”.
John Peter Rhys was born in Bridgend to Peter and Margaret, both doctors. Margaret had been born in Rochdale, so young John could have played for England, but that was not a subject much discussed in the Williams household.
It was on the lawns of Wimbledon rather than the muddy fields of Cardiff Arms Park or Bridgend that Williams first made his mark as a sportsman of renown. As a 17-year-old, he won the 1966 British junior tennis title at Wimbledon, beating David Lloyd in the final.
He was gaining a reputation at rugby in Bridgend, where his father was the club president and doctor. By this time Williams had left Bridgend grammar school for Millfield school in Somerset, where future Wales scrum-half Gareth Edwards was a pupil.
From Millfield, Williams went to St Mary’s hospital in London and had a spell at the London Welsh club. He chose to continue playing the amateur sport rather than tennis and concentrate on his medical studies, his father having told him that he would not make a living as a professional sportsman.
He was still a teenager when he was called into a Wales squad to tour Argentina in the summer of 1968. There were great expectations of the new boy John Williams, as he was then known, when he made his full Wales debut against Scotland at Murray Field the following February.
Wales had a new coach, their former captain Clive Rowlands. Barry John at fly-half scored the final try in Wales’s 17-3 win. Something was brewing in Wales and the 70s were a golden age. Once Phil Bennett, alongside Edwards, established himself as Barry John’s natural heir and once JPR was joined by the wings JJ Williams and Gerald Davies, Wales became an unstoppable force in northern hemisphere rugby. At the heart of their team was JPR, instantly recognisable with his Elvis-Presley style sideburns, flowing hair and socks often pulled down to his ankles.
What set him apart was his success as an attacking player which, allied to that rock-solid defensive play, made him a permanent fixture in the Wales side between his 1969 debut and 1981, when he retired from international rugby. He burnished his reputation on the successful British Lions tours to New Zealand in 1971 and South Africa in 1974, playing in all four Tests on each. Williams had been on a Wales tour to New Zealand in 1969 when they were humbled by the All Blacks in two Tests so the 2-1 series win by the Lions two years later came as a big relief.
In Auckland he settled the series with a long-range drop-goal in the final Test. It came as a surprise to his team-mates, but England’s Bob Hiller, his full-back understudy on that tour, had apparently joked to him that he could not consider himself a proper international until he had dropped a goal.
In South Africa three years later, Williams was heroic again as Willie John McBride’s team prevailed in an often brutal series win over the Springboks. The Lions’ call of “99” often signalled all-out punch-ups, and the sight of Williams racing upfield to thump the much larger South African lock Moaner van Heerden was a memorable one, though, as Williams confessed later it was not something of which he was particularly proud.
Williams won 55 caps for Wales, five of them as captain in 1978-79; in 1977 he was appointed MBE. In between those Lions victories he scored the final try in the Barbarians’ famous victory over the All Blacks at the Arms Park in 1973, and after retiring from the international stage played club rugby for Tondu as a back-rower until 2003, when he was 54.
He met Scilla (Priscilla) Parkin at medical school, and they married in 1973. His principal post as a trauma and orthopaedic surgeon was at the Princess of Wales hospital, Bridgend (1986–2004). Williams rarely joined the ranks of retired players who became pundits, but he was always happy to talk about a stellar career, particularly the 11 games against England, in which he always ended on the winning side.
He is survived by Scilla and their children, Lauren, Annie, Fran and Peter.

2023 shebelieves cup final thoughts
CHAMPIONS LFGGG 🔥🔥
mal played PHENOMENAL, she's a goal scoring machine
naomi girma was so amazing, she deserves a world cup spot right now. I don't care if it's still months away, just give her a spot on the roster rn
emily fox holy shit she's great, she's aggressive and isn't afraid to take the ball up the field, strong world cup contender
becky and sonnett? amazing as usual, they have sick communication and bring great leadership to the backline
k mew I'm so glad you got more minutes I think she played well, she's aggressive and can be a solid force in the midfield if vlatko just GIVES HER A CHANCE
alyssa had some key saves this tournament she's a great voice for the defense
casey murphy made a hell of a case for herself to be one of the three world cup keepers
alana cook to me just seems inconsistent. she has great moments but makes stupid mistakes and gets beat running back in defense. def room for improvement, I'm unsure about her making the world cup squad once tierna starts playing
crystal dunn is kicking ass and taking names per usual
ashley sanchez had a not so great tournament. she seemed so out of sync with the rest of the team.
horan is being run into the ground. props to her for being able to get through this tournament still standing, she had great moments and is a solid force in the midfield
andi has great presence in the midfield and I think she has a great chance of making the world cup
lynn and rodman both had good games , love watching them zoom across the field
pinoe has truly taken her role of coming off the bench in stride *cough* unlike carli lloyd *cough*
unfortunately, didn't see too much of rose, midge, hatch, korniek, or huerta
that's a wrap!
catch ya guys again in April!

Whom else survived the lightning delay and finished up this weird ass game??
Anyways.
USWNT V COLOMBIA (Tuesday edition)
I love Alyssa Naeher. She’s the best. That save 😍
The backup back line with Huerta, Sonnett, Girma, and Pickett was really solid.
Huerta with the CROSSES, the forced own goal. She’s settling into her place comfortably and I love that for her.
And then Kelley coming in to just continue the right back goal supremacy for the game. Good shit.
Pickett with her first cap!! She did great and her crosses were excellent as to be expected from her.
I… really liked Sonnett and Girma together. Girma was this calm, Becky-esque final defender which I think relaxes the whole line. Sonnett’s passing into the midfield was extremely precise and it seemed like she was asked to play this CB/6 flex position. She was challenging the 50/50 balls in the middle and had a lot of success stopping any play from starting. A v classic, look how a player does when they play their preferred position.
Rose and Sanchez are very very very fun together and I’d love more lineups where we can figure out how to get them together. However, I do think the pair lacks a physical presence. They obviously have the foot skills so it’s not a huge problem, but it’s a factor. Sanchez had a quieter game. I think consistency is going to be v important for her. And feisty Rose with a card.
Lindsey… let’s say, if I had a professional coaching license and was in charge, she would not be playing. Her knee is clearly not okay. It’s held together with bubble gum and paper clips. Her running speed is slowed down and she’s clearly backing out of tackles. It’s a self preservation play that’s so unnecessary when she could instead be resting and rehabbing. Thankfully, Colombia wasn’t pressuring to a point where she was allowed to play make without people crashing into her.
and all this 6 nonsense. We don’t have one. Julie is pregnant and Andi isn’t healthy enough. Why we are not trying other formations is BEYOND me. 4-3-3 is not the end all be all. And to be honest, between club, high school, and college, I never even played in that formation. We don’t need double CB’s. Put Alana or Sonnett or fucking Becky at a stopper. Play North Carolina Courages weird ass box midfield. Stop trying to make fetch happen.
Kristie was about to fucking fight at the end of the game and lololol. The fact that Sonnett sprinted in to pull her away is even funnier. About her actual play? She’s also not a 6. Though she did serve the best diagonal long balls.
Hatch also. Starting fights!! Go Mormon go! Hometown brawl!
Alex should have been involved in more national team camps earlier in the year. She’s on fire right now in club. There’s no explanation for her play other than a lack of chemistry. And having Pinoe barely counts because 2022 Pinoe and Alex are NOT the same as 2019 Pinoe and Alex.
Midge was fine. She had very bright spots and other moments where it made sense why she came off at half.
Mal was the best player driving into the box, hands down. Finishing? Could use a little tightening up. But hey, she didn’t shove a photographer today. Proud of her!
Trin had great energy. She’s going to be a PROBLEM for international defenses in the future.
Korn sure was out there being tall!! She had trouble settling in, which is fine. She’s on cap 2, she came in late and there was a delay.
The team disconnect down both sides came down to chemistry. Crystal Sam Lindsey Pinoe Tobin Press Kelley. Those lineups had this innate connection. The chemistry was so obvious. Pickett Sanchez and Pinoe and the opposite side of Huerta Rose and Midge simply did not have the vibes.
I’m not a coaching expert but we gotta click some more pieces into place before I could be confident we’d win a major tournament with this squad. BUT TRULY, with everyone out with bébés and extremely rude injuries, it’s not the full squad yet.
Big whatever though. I still love these players and will still scream at my TV at midnight!

No cowardice here. If you're still taking requests, trans girl Blue Poison horny moments? Bonus point if she's paired up with someone, I don't have any real preference who. Thank you <3
:3 terra is a beautiful world where spontaneous butt stuff is realistic
-
Andreana was one of the first real friends Blue Poison made on Rhodes Island. Glaucus introduced them, excited for her girlfriend and newfound tech weirdo friend to get to know each other.
She, in her excitement, had forgotten to relay that Andreana was also an Abyssal Hunter.
That had taken a bit of getting used to! This unassuming Ægir being a quiet part of one of the most feared, rumored, and respected squads ever to associate with Rhodes Island.
In a quiet moment, tucked together in a maintenance locker after a friendly hand-to-hand practice spar, (despite her raw strength, Andreana completely lacked technique, and Rhodes was quite insistent on its Sniper operators maintaining a basic knowledge of self-defense) Blue Poison was very, very grateful she'd gotten used to her friend's Hunter status.
For her part, Andreana was having a pretty good time too.
Blue Poison looked so pretty when she lost her composure, pink hair half-mussed out of its braid, delicate cheeks flushed, brilliant blue eyes half-lidded. Andreana smiled to herself before taking her to the base again, tongue caressing the delicate underside of Blue Poison's half-hard cock, delighting in how her hips twitched involuntarily, how a careful swirl of her tongue drew a long, low hum from the girl above her.
When afforded a chance like this, Andreana liked to take her time. It was a luxury Laurentina never allowed her- strap driving deep down her throat often before she even had a chance to prepare -and one she never looked for with Skadi, Hunter blood stoking her hormones into a desperate fire.
On her knees before Blue Poison, though, Andreana could luxuriate in the act itself.
And luxuriate she did! Hands on Blue Poison's waist, thumbs pressing into her hips as Andreana sucked her off at what could only be described as a glacial pace; maddening, indulgent, hedonistic.
Another full body shudder wracked Blue Poison, knees buckling for a moment, only Andreana's firm grip keeping her upright.
"Th-hhh thank you, A-andi, mmm."
Andreana hummed a response around the cock in her mouth, closing her eyes sinking back down before a tap on her shoulder had her glancing back up to meet Blue Poison's eyes, letting her cock slip out of her mouth to rest on her cheek.
"Andi, could," Blue Poison trailed off, embarrassed, (Andreana raised an eyebrow, gaze flickering between the girl standing over her and the cock wet with her spit and Blue Poison's sticky pre) "could you… maybe…" she trailed off again, canting her hips up in lieu of trying to get the question out.
Andreana caught her drift, shrugging her leg up over her shoulder, Blue Poison letting out a shocked squeak. Cute.
Then Andreana leaned in, dragging her tongue over Blue Poison's hole, and whatever comeback she was going to make suffocated under the weight of a long, desperate moan. She ground down, debased and unabashed, against Andreana's tongue; each roll of her trembling hips dragging her cock against Andreana's cheek, a smear of sticky pre leaking will each pass of Andreana's clever tongue.
Andreana didn't mind, of course- the wetness on her cheek spurred her on, thumbs spreading Blue Poison open, massaging her tongue around her hole before dipping the point barely in.
Blue Poison sobbed, hips shuddering, thighs trembling, trying desperately to keep her upright against the impulse to clamp around Andreana's head and grind out that last iota of friction she needed to push her over the edge, hands grasping tight in Andreana's hair.
"Ple-eeease, Andi, I'm- fuck I'm so-" her knees buckled again, Andreana simply shrugging Blue Poison's other leg up over her shoulder before continuing, Blue Poison's string of sobbed pleas decohering into just a babbled mess of "Andi, god Andi fuck, Andi, I'm so- I'm- fuck, Andi thank you thank you thank you I'm gonna-!"
Andreana's grip tightened, strong hands pulling Blue Poison down against her eager tongue as she shook apart with a wailing keen, scorching wetness spilling from her cock, dripping across Andreana's cheek.
Blue Poison looked down, panting, flushed all the way down to her chest, from where she effectively sat on Andreana's shoulders. Said Cuttlefish met her gaze, flushed to match, cum splattered over her cheek and a slight grin at what her hands (or tongue, rather) had wrought.
"I-" Blue Poison covered her mouth with the back of her hand, shy as she always got after losing herself with most anyone other than Glaucus, "Th-thanks, Andi."
Andreana swiped her thumb through the wetness on her cheek, making a show of licking it off before helping Blue Poison back to her feet, dusting off her shorts before giving her a kiss on her tomato-red cheek.
"Anytime."

I’ve always wondered who you’re top 5 Liverpool players in the squad now?
Based on skills?
Thiago Alcantara, the way he finds passes that seem impossible is mind blowing to me
Ibou, I'm really impressed with his defensive work lately!
Trent, those long balls he plays forward are just on another level
Stefan, I can tell Thiago's influence already and that kid is gonna go far
Andy Robertson, that man's level of shithousery is unmatched. His runs down the wing are also something else
Thanks anon!

Superflex Fantasy Draft Strategy From All 12 Members of the SI Experts League
Some of the top fantasy insiders in the business share their thoughts on how they built their rosters.
The 2023 Sports Illustrated Invitational Experts League draft was held on Aug. 18. It includes me and some of the best names in the world of fantasy football analysis, including SI’s Craig Ellenport, Bill Enright and Jen Piacenti, plus our friends Andy Behrens, Howard Bender, Jamey Eisenberg, Mike Harmon, Bob Harris, Lindsay Rhodes and Nelson Sousa. We also invited our pal, actor James Roday Rodriguez, who’s one heck of a fantasy manager, too.
[...]
7. James Roday Rodriguez, Actor
1.7. Justin Jefferson, WR, Vikings| 2.18. Stefon Diggs, WR, Bills 3.31. Kirk Cousins, QB, Vikings 4.42. DK Metcalf, WR, Seahawks 5.55. Jonathan Taylor, RB, Colts 6.66. Sam Howell, QB, Commanders 7.79. Javonte Williams, RB, Broncos 8.90. David Montgomery, RB, Lions 9.103. Bryce Young, QB, Panthers 10.114. Brandin Cooks, WR, Cowboys 11.127. Treylon Burks, WR, Titans 12.138. Chigoziem Okonkwo, TE, Titans 13.151. Elijah Mitchell, RB, 49ers 14. 162. Raheem Mostert, RB, Dolphins 15. 175. Gerald Everett, TE, Chargers 16. 186. Evan McPherson, K, Bengals 17.199. Chiefs defense 18. 210. Gus Edwards, RB, Ravens
Roday Rodriguez: Ahhh, superflex leagues. I didn’t think the first six overall picks would be all quarterbacks, so I pivoted to a wide receiver in Jefferson because he’s foolproof. After that, it was mostly about taking the best player available and I was lucky to get Cousins to stack with Jefferson. I have questions at running back, and I need either Howell or Young to become a thing for this team to shine. Honestly, I can see this squad contending for the title or finishing in dead last place.

Jimmy Butler Gets Positive News On His Injury
Jimmy Butler Gets Positive News On His Injury
(Photo by Andy Lyons/Getty Images)   The Miami Heat have failed to live up to the expectations this season. An uncharacteristic lack of effort on the defensive end of the floor has plagued Erik Spoelstra’s squad for most of the campaign. However, it’s not like they’ve been healthy for most of the year, either, starting with All-Star Jimmy Butler. Butler has struggled with multiple ailments…

CANTLON: FREE AGENT FRENZY
Tumblr media
BY: Gerry Cantlon, Howlings HARTFORD, CT - The free-agent frenzy has led to completing the 2022-23 Hartford Wolf Pack roster as the usual free agency carnival has come and gone. Incredibly, over 150 players changed addresses, and close to a billion dollars in compensation was doled out. Up in New York, the Rangers lost Andrew Copp, who returned home to Michigan to join the Detroit Red Wings. He will line his pockets with $5.65M per season. Kevin Rooney, the cousin of former New Haven Nighthawk Steve  Rooney, headed West to Calgary to join the Flames and will receive $1.4M per season for the next four years. The Rangers paid dearly to upgrade Hartford. Zach Jordan, whose contract has not yet been posted, comes to Hartford via the Cleveland Monsters. Turner Elson from Grand Rapids (GM Ryan Martin's old stomping grounds) at $750K-NHL/$225K-AHL for two years, a 6'0 195 center. Ty Emberson comes from Tucson (contract yet posted), making it now 12 D going into training camp in the fall. Andy Welinski comes over from Stockton (Calgary) on a one-year $400K-AHL deal. The Rangers made their qualifying offers by Mondaefore the 5 pm deadline as per the CBA, and two were very curious. Defenseman Hájek, who played a grand total of 17 games in New York and five in Hartford on a conditioning stint, was amazingly signed for another year at a cap helpful $800K and shockingly big 6'7 forward Austin Rueschoff (contract not yet posted), who signed as a collegiate free agent two years ago from Western Michigan (NCHC) who spent all last year in Hartford. His season could be broken into three parts; a physical start, showed flashes of a hot stick in the middle of the season, and like the rest of his teammates, a disappearing act in the last third of the season as they had a meteoric meltdown of 8-20-2 and out of the AHL playoffs after being in first at the AHL All-Star break. Tim Gettinger was given an offer who played well in all situations in Hartford in four years and was among the taxi squad call-ups got a one-year extension at amazingly as the lanky 6'6 forward got a one-year deal not yet posted. Not to anyone's surprise, the following were not qualified, thus allowing them to go to free agency. They included goalie Keith Kinkaid, who signed in primary for $750K. He was a main culprit in the late-season collapse with many rough performances. Also departing is goalie, Adam Huska (UCONN-HE). In three years in Hartford performed well but was not consistent enough. Tyler Wall played just 15 games in his two years, despite gaudy Hockey East numbers at UMASS-Lowell where he broke long-standing freshman winning record and career wins, but he never replicated those efforts and never gained the trust of his head coach or fellow teammates. His season ended six weeks early with knee surgery from a freak pre-game injury he suffered in Jacksonville. As of now, Zac Jones and Matt Robertson will be on defense. Robertson is a year from his RFA status. On an AHL deal comes Zach Guittari (Loomis Chaffe). That's half the defense. Hunter Skinner, Brandon Scanlin, and Nils Lundkvist are scheduled to return and could be the other half. Up front, the ever polite, pleasant, and gregarious Ty Ronning never built off his surge in performances in 2020-21 or early last season and sputtered at the end. Reports are Ronning, who lives in Vancouver in the off-season, where his father Cliff played with the Canucks and may sign there and head to nearby Abbotsford. Nick Merkley and Maxim Letunov, acquired at the trade deadline, were not re-signed. Merkley was injured in the next to last game in Bridgeport. Letunov was not a match and may be headed back home to Russia to play in the KHL with Torpedo Novgorod, who has his KHL rights. Despite an 81-point year in juniors, Jake Elmer was buried in the ECHL and never got a call-up. Anthony Greco has already left for Sweden. Mike O'Leary, who had minimal offensive output and was a late-season scratch, is gone to Iowa (AHL). Tanner Fritz, Alex Whelan, and Cristiano Di Giacinto are defensemen who all signed AHL  deals. Fritz will be in Hartford and could push the other two to Jacksonville because of the lack of lineup space. D-man Blake Hillman did well in Providence/ Toledo (ECHL) and was last year's training camp invitee is now under contract, Tim Theocaridis and goalie Parker Gahagan (Florida-ECHL/Milwaukee-AHL) have all been signed to AHL deals; four of the five will be in Hart City or likely the ECHL with the teams' affiliate there, the Jacksonville Icemen. Underperforming Justin Richards was given every chance to succeed on all four lines and special teams. However, he will find a new address, likely in the ECHL, after not being qualified. What the team does with the unhappy Lauri Pajuniemi, a year from his RFA, is yet to be determined. Will Jarred Tinordi return to reprise the mentor role or find a new address with his young family? Three part-time players are heading to separate teams in the Slovak Extra league. Abbott Girduckis (HC Presov), Liam Pecararo (HC Slovan Bratislava), and the second Hamden-born player in team history, Mike Lee (the Gunn School), as he heads to (HC Nove Zamsky). A fourth, James Sanchez, is available for other teams. Defenseman Jeff Taylor scratched more than he played in four years as an insurance policy, just 38 games in that time, signed with Adirondack (ECHL), and has new twins just born. Greg McKegg, who played one game in Hartford and 43 games and five points in New York, was cut loose and headed to Edmonton for a lucrative two-way deal of $750K-NHL/$350K-AHL. Billy Thompson, a one-game emergency from Adirondack, heads to play with defending champions Cardiff (Wales-EIHL) next year. Coming in from Europe draftees are; Karl Henriksson  Frölunda HC (Sweden-SHL), Adam Edström (Sweden-Rögle BK). Veteran Gustav Rydahl (Sweden-Farjestad BK) comes on a free agent $750K deal and goalie Olof Lindbom of Kristianstads IK (Sweden-Allsvenskan). Captain Jonny Brodzinski, with his youngest sibling, Easton, is on an AHL deal and scheduled to return. Then four junior-age players, Will Cullye (Windsor-OHL), Brennan Othmann (Flint-OHL), Matt Rempe (Seattle-WHL), and Roger Korczak (Moose Jaw-WHL), are coming to camp. Othmann has to spend a half-season in juniors after training camp with Flint (OHL) because of the CHL and NHL agreement that prohibits 19-year-olds from being in the AHL full-time unless a team's junior season has ended. He will be WJC eligible, which will be when he turns 20 NEXT January 5th. The last day of next year's WJC when it ends in Halifax and Moncton. Bobby Trivigino, signed at the end of the season from UMASS (HE), will be back. Patrick Khordorenko will be in the house in the last year of his deal. PLENTY OF MOVES The number of AHL'ers off to Europe is 42 as ex-Sound Tiger Josh Ho-Sang departs to Salavat Yulaev Ufa (Russia-KHL). Despite the Ukraine war, Russia amazingly leads the Euro race with ten signings. Sweden has nine, with Finland inking seven, Germany six and Austria four. NEWS AND NOTES The Wolf Pack 2022-23 schedule with three new opponents expected out in two weeks. The home opener is October 22nd. The Rangers lost Frank Vatrano to Anaheim. The legendary Head Coach of England, Alex Ferguson
The team and the players' skills vary greatly depending on who is the manager. From now on, we will learn about Alex Ferguson, the eternal legend of soccer players and fans.
Tumblr media
Ferguson began his life on a part-time contract, not a regular contract, at East Sterling at the young age of 32. Ferguson took control of the team from the start, and the club's performance began to improve immediately. However, he is hard to friction with the owner and later appointed as the director of Aberdeen. Aberdeen has never won since 1955. Ferguson, who was appointed in 1978, well-maintained the team and won a dramatic championship with a 5: 0 win in the last match of the 1979-80 season. Ferguson was then cited by FC Barcelona, Rangers FC, Arsenal FC, and Tottenham Hotspur FC. In November 1986, Ferguson was recommended by Martin Edwards, the owner of Manchester United FC.

Ferguson accepted a worse treatment than before when he moved to Manchester United from Aberdeen. Because he thought of the future far from his eyes. He met with the club before he went to Manchester United and asked for funds to use the player, but Manchester United's vault was almost exposed. His salary was also disappointing. The most urgent task for Ferguson, who was just appointed to Manchester United, was the team's repair work to regain his past glory. At the time of Ferguson's appointment, Manchester United was a good team. However, compared to the glory of the past, it could be called a recession, and the team's atmosphere was terrible enough to hear that it was a drinking club. He once again turned the youth team that had been decaying once again into a training center for geniuses and was able to recruit the best adult players such as Mark Hughes, Steve Bruce, Peter Schmeichel, and Dennis Irwin. Some of them were already recognized star players, and some were almost known to England. Manchester United has been a team that challenges the top in the European tournament five years after the appointment of Ferguson.
In the 1997-98 season, United has rebuilt the players of the squad, which is one of the heydays of Ferguson led by Ferguson. Eric Cantona, the core of United's attack, declared retirement, and stars in the early 1990s, including Brian Robson, Mark Hughes, and Steve Bruce, had already left United. The attackers with Cantona, Mark Hughes, and Brian McClare were replaced by Andy Call, Dwight York, Teddy Sheringham, and Olle Gunnar Solshar, and Steve Bruce left the defense. Roy Keane, who replaced Brian Robson, who left the team earlier, was already the center of United, and the children of Ferguson, represented by Ryan Giggs, David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Phil Neville, Gary Neville, and Nicky Butt, are now the best. He was showing off his skills. 1998-99 season. At this time, United was the best midfield camp in Manchester United, leading to David Beckham-Roy Kin-Paul Scholes-Ryan Giggs, and defensive teams led by Jab Stam, Dennis Irwin, Gary Neville, Andy Call, and Dwight York. Was an Ollehunnar Solshar and Teddy Sheringham attackers, and the goalkeeper, Peter Schmekel, was a fantastic dream team. At this time, seven players from youth were playing at the core of the team, and United achieved a treble. In this public, Ferguson receives a knight.

Alex Ferguson is a director who clearly shows how important the director's ability is in football. Ferguson had the ability to unmatch other followers in the operation of the company and win the competition. Ferguson's matches were not the ideal operations of tactics, but he somehow won and won. Manchester United fans often criticize the Glazer family, but they only praise that they did not interfere with Ferguson's operation. It will not be easy for anyone to do as much as Ferguson. Ferguson was not a revolutionary or a tactical master, but he acquired more trophies than them and upgraded not only the club but also the entire league.
Through this post, We've looked through "accomplishments" of Alex Ferguson, and how much he influenced the history of English soccer.
Last word I want to tell him is...
Sir Alex, you are legendary and your glory will never fade out.
