Zion Angels Landing by far one of the most incredible hikes I've ever been on and I felt so lucky because we were the only people there to watch the sunset and had a mini picnic....and we hiked down by the light of the full moon before synchronistically catching the last bus back to our parking spot saving ourselves an additional two hour trek back to the car… The whole day rolled out in the perfect timing … The next day headed to Aspen! Angels Landing trail in Zion National Park, Utah Some people say if you fall here, you will become an angel ;) I didn’t want to become an angel at this time, so I turned around half way through the chains section, last streak to the top was too icy, but even there views were absolutely breathtaking. Undoubtedly this was one of the best adventures I ever had, highly recommend! The trail was named a century ago by Frederick Vining Fisher, a Methodist minister so in awe of the massive sandstone cliff that he surmised that only angels might land on it. The name stuck, and the trail was built in the 1920s.
