Considering that Prieur's aunt invented and took the name Duvernois for unknown reasons - she never married - and considering that Prieur himself stopped using that surname after nobility titles were abolished in '91 and addressed himself all the time with his fancy CSP nickname "Prieur de la Côte-d'Or" in his Révelations, I believe it's not appropriate to call him "Prieur-Duvernois".

Digging a bit I discovered that it's the painter Emil Groux, who for this illustration resurrected that name and it happened years after Prieur's death.

After his adventure ends, Sonic chillaxes with his friends and fellow Freedom Fighter members as they watch the sunrise on their now-repaired planet, promising new beginnings and potential new adventures.

I already grieved earlier about how we never got to see what those stories would be and that this is the last time we see the cast together, but I will settle that if there is gonna be a final panel of them together, I’m happy it’s a peaceful one.

The Freedom Fighters got to chill out one last time.

@achilleanwizard here's an example of an Antoine sketch page! Like this one, his sketches usually consist of: silly drawings of the Rangers (mostly Ortega because how can he not make fun of him), cats or other animals he's seen that day, other things like armour concepts, random squiggles that he just colours or turns into some sort of fucked up city (which is sort of a reflection of how I imagine his mindscape looks like) - and if he has the time/got markers or something close by he'll colour it all in every colour

The Shattered World arc has finally come to an end and, honestly, I’m happy about that. It tried to be an adaptation of Sonic Unleashed, a re-introduction to the whole Sonic cast and an attempt at world building all at once, which made for interesting discoveries and character interactions at best and a rushed, same-y narrative with underutilized potential at worst. It didn’t exactly help that Chip’s growth as Dark Gaia and his connections with Sonic’s friends were stuck in the middle of all this, creating a finale where his relationship with the planet feels like too little too late. I’m happy this story arc is over but boy howdy did I wish it didn’t lose focus and try n balance all these different elements with a rushed conclusion.

Also worth noting is how Sonic almost comes close to tears at losing Chip to his duty as Light Gaia within (or a mountain on) the planet. Hey, at least the hedgehog gets his lil necklace to remember him by.
