It's a new show for Patrons in which Stephen and Brendon try to discuss a topic in exactly ten minutes or less. You could almost call it a "high key video game podcast."

So once the secrets the Tadfools are keeping come out to rest of the group basically everyone is willing to accept some pretty wild shit. I’m really tempted to write an AU where the Dark Urge is not an amnesiac and pretty open from the start that they’re a Bhaalspawn.
I think there’s a lot of comedic potential but also obviously I am a sucker for playing through a good ending, knowing that things can work out for everyone and then going back, playing a different character with good intentions and then watching it all fall apart. I’m a sucker for a well written completely avoidable tragedy.
Seriously, what's the point of any% speedruns nowadays? I mean, well, it's okay to use the occasional level-skip kind of glitches, but boy, things can get pretty ridiculous. That Super Mario Land 2 one for example, clear two levels and trigger in a glitched credits screen? Really? Should that even be qualified as a playthrough at all?
I want to relate a piece of information that I learned. I never fact checked it, but I have no reason to believe it's wrong:
You can just make up an apple and sell it. Depending on the soil, the food they're given, and other factors, it's possible to change the flavor of an apple and if you can successfully do that, you can name it and that's your apple, forever. Fuji? Granny-Smith? Gala? All of them made up! There are hundreds of apple varieties!
But just because you create a specific branch of apples doesn't mean you're going to sell a billion of them. There are a lot of factors that determine success. Taste, texture, consistency, price, etc. You can invent a new apple and it could fail to catch on. Nobody will remember it.
If somebody invents a category of speedrun and it's popular then I don't really see the argument. If it's fun to do, fun to watch, if the commentary is good, then it will be something that draws a crowd. If it isn't, it'll be forgotten. But people are allowed to experiment, aren't they? It's just video games, they're just having fun. It's allowed. Why's that gotta put a bug up your nose?
If somebody wants to do it, and they feel justified by the effort they put in to it, then who are you to tell them it's a dumb idea?
