If I had a nickel for every time a queer guy named Eddie was tragically killed while trying to protect his friends in a scary alternate dimension and then said friends were forced to leave his body behind, I'd have two nickels. Not a ton but it's weird that it happened twice.

september nights
request:  i was wondering if you could write another soft bill smut? i don’t really have a specific plot in mind, we’re just really lacking content on tumblr rn :( in some really precarious place where they don’t want to get caught
Tumblr media
warnings: soft smut, like i mean very soft.
word count: 2118
before your lips met bill denbrough’s, love was always, to say the least, a conundrum. lets be real for second, boys wasted your time, and you let them. only the cute ones of course. you are a hopeless romantic, drunk off of molly ringwald and john travolta films. you wanted any relationship you had to be just like the movies.
through your heart breaks, your best friends stood by you, your losers. eddie, richie, bev, stan, ben, and bill. for each tear you shed a punch was thrown to the man who caused it, they were protective over you. bill the most though, he always got so defensive when you were in the mix. all throughout middle & high school, bill has had to deal with every guy who even dares to think about breaking your heart.
“its not fair bill” you wailed into your pillow. he stroked your back and hushed you, his eyes welling with tears. “im never fucking good enough for any guy and its so fucking sad!” your complaints being cut off mid sentence by a choked out cry. “y-y/n. all of y-your boyfriend are i-idiots. anyone w-who would d-d-do this to you isnt w-worth your t-time. anyone w-would be the luckiest in the w-world to have y-you in their life” you picked your head up and looked at him with swollen lips and blood shot eyes “there no one out there for me bill, no one.”
he bit his lip, fighting back any tears dripping from his eyes “they j-just dont see how p-pretty you are. how g-gentle and caring and s-s-sweet, and h-how your face c-can light up any room. theyre f-fucking idiots, and you d-deserve m-more.” you clearly thought he was being nice, because you could take a MOTHER FUCKING GOD DAMN hint, so you replied “i wish there was someone out there like you, for me, that thinks of me the way you do.”
he furrowed his brows, tossing his head back and running his fingers furiously through his hair. “d-dammit y/n!” he cursed “cant you s-see what ive b-been trying to say? w-w-what ive been t-trying to say f-for the last f-five years!?!” your expression was bewildered, your brain was going a mile a minute trying to figure out what he meant. his frustration got the best of him, he got up and stormed out the door,  feeling embarrassed and stupid for trying to make you understand how he felt.
he was half way out your front door, fuming for his keys lodged deep into his front pocket; when suddenly:
“bill!”
his head turned at the call of his name, “y-y/n please i d-”
smack.
your lips locked with his, he rain pouring heavily outside. bills lips stilled at the contact, but this lasted briefly, he deepened this kiss by pulling you in to his abdomen by your mid back. your bunched the front of his base ball t shirt with your fists, and he did the same but with your hair.
the rest is basically history.
now six months later, and you couldnt have been happier. bill knew how to treat you, nights out twice a week (you always wanted to pay but bill insisted,) holding your hand to and from classes, he let you borrow have his varsity baseball jacket, which smelt just like him and was a little too big for you.
when he would drop you off and your classes, he would always grab your hand and transfer a tiny piece of paper into your palm. when you got into class to unfold it, it was always a cute little message about his love for you.
bill had it bad for you, everyone knew that, and you loved every minute of it. he met every and any standard you had, and exceeded your expectations.
it was september, still warm enough in derry to wear shorts, so you and your friends thought of a last hurrah for the ending of the summery weather.
“camp out, its nearly perfect” Richie exclaimed. eddie rolled his eyes “like youve ever been near anything perfect toizer, do you even know what perfect means?” richie shoved eddie “yeah eddie i actually have. have you seen amanda’s tits?”
you tuned out richie and eddies bickering as you’re boyfriend cleared his throat. “you g-gonna go?” he said into your ear, “only if you promise to wear bug spray bill, you know how bad-” he cut you off with a kiss, his mouth forming a small smile at how cute you were. “get a room, honestly” stan poked, pda wasn’t his favorite... “at least i h-have something to k-kiss aye s-stannie”
you arrived at the edge of the forest, parking your car at the last parking ish space. you walked toward the sounds of ben and richie fighting, and came to see that richie really went all out. three tents, sticks for a fire, and more snacks than anyone needed.
you all spent the remanence of the daylight dancing in the light sky, sharing stories, and eating waaaay too many chips. it was dark now, you all huddled in a circle near the fire; making small talk and trying not to admit you were all very tired.
“ok folks, im off to bed” richie yawned “me stan eddie n’ mike will take the green tent, bev and ben in the red.” richie paused and smirked over at you and bill, you were tangled in his limbs, golfed in his navy blue pull over. “and uh- heh- billy boy and y/n in the yellow tent eh?” you could practically feel bills eye roll, god richie was so immature.
“w-we dont have to s-sleep in the s-s-same tent, i c-can ask ben if he’d s-switch” you look up at bill and reassure him “bill no- its not a big deal, right?” he tucks your hair behind your ear and kisses the side of your temple “c-course not.”
you both went into the tent, bill began to unroll the blankets you both had packed tightly into your bags. You both set up your makeshift bed, bill leaned against a pile of pillows while you hugged his side, your face buried in his neck. his smell was absolutely intoxicating; his skin had remanence of his milk and honey body wash, but it was slightly overpowered by wintergreen, clove, and his bourbon cologne.
you were like this for around an hour, the orange crank-powered lantern being the only source of light. you switch positions though, you now laid your head on his lap, reading a magazine you stole from the hair salon. he watched your eyes scan every letter, when you read something funny you’d huff to yourself, and when something was intresting you stuck your tongue out from between your teeth. he adored you.
“d-dont stay up t-too late” he stroked your hair off your shoulder “we have t-to have you w-well r-r-rested.” you sat up from beside him, as he adjusted the pillows and took off his pull over, then his pants. he got under the covers and waited for you.
“nice donut boxers” you laughed. “s-shut up” he blushed and regreted not changing them when he had the chance. you turned around took off your shirt, you were shy about how you looked, but it was just bill. it was just bill. you heard his breath hitch, his eagerness radiating off his body onto yours. the air became tense as you unzipped your pants and threw them to the corner. you turned around, bills pupils growing until you were completely facing him.
“yeah i know. mine are boring” you laugh nervously, brushing your hair behind your ear and getting under the covers next to him. he didnt respond, he couldnt take his eyes off of you.you began to sit up again “i can go put back on-” “n-no!” he interrupts, his blush taking up his entire face.
“i j-j-just cant b-believe i g-get to see something s-so special” he gulped “s-so b-b-b-beautiful.”
you grabbed him by his shoulders and kissed him, hard. youve been with boys before, i mean youve dated plenty of people. but no one ever called your body special. hot, yeah. nice, yeah. beautiful, sure. but no one ever thought that it was special.
bill was a kind boy, the most you two have ever done is get each other off with your hands, always clothed. bill never asked to see more, he felt lucky enough just to make you feel good, and that was enough for him. so when you felt the heat of his hands hovering over your body but not touching it, you new you’d have to call the shots tonight.
“bill,” you laid down “just touch me everywhere, please.” he crawled in between your legs, kneeling so that he could lean over your face “m-my pleasure.”
he traced your collar, leaving small, delicate, kisses to make up for what his fingers left behind as they trailed. he kissed the valley between your breasts, licking slow striped down your skin. he picked up your upper back a little and cocked his head to the side, you nodded and he unclipped your bra. he sat their with his mouth open, taking in the view. you blushed and muttered “hey, keep that mouth to good use.” he dipped down and sucked on your nipples, his mouth felt so good against your skin grazed with goosebumps. he was gingerly with his tongue, it was sexy, it was romantic. he kissed down your stomach, his fingers sweeping down your sides. you could see his member pressing against his boxers, the pressure made him wince every once in a while. his fingers met your panties and he hooked them. again, he looked up for permission, you nodded once again.
he brought your underwear down your legs and off, looking back to see what he had relieved. he licked his lips, getting ready to please you more than he already did. but you felt bad, bill always gave gave and gave. “its ok, im ready right now.” bill looked up at you in shock, he wasnt expecting you’d want to go all the way. “y/n, y-youre sure?” you lean up and kiss his lips, swiping your tongue against his bottom lip “please.”
he pulled down his boxers eagerly, his member sprung out to hit his stomach. he lined up with you, checking once more that it was ok. then he pushed in, bottoming out. he felt bigger than you thought, of course he was well endowed, but he filled you up so well. you mewled, the pain and pleasure making a delicious feeling that made your toes curl.
he waited, but began slowly moving after a bit. he grunted, feeling you wrapped around him was something he’d never be able to get out of his head he thought to himself. he grunted “f-fuck this feels g-good’ he grunted, his breath becoming heavy and full of lust. with every stroke, you felt yourself get more and more lost in the bliss he made you feel. “youre making me feel so good  bill” you moan, the sound of his name coming out of your mouth driving him absolutely crazy. he speeds up, loving the view of your face contorting in pleasure and your body moving with his.
he couldnt help but feel admiration to you, your hair formed a halo around your head, and the sweat that coated your skin made you glisten in the orange light. “im t-the luckiest in the world” he husks, holding your cheek.
you felt the knot in your core coming undone, “bill im close” you strain, trying not to be too loud so you dont wake your friends. he moved your leg up to his shoulder, hitting you from a different, deeper angle. his fingers went to your clit, making you bite your had to stop you from screaming. “you l-look so p-pretty y/n, t-taking me s-so well. making y-you feel so good.” “so good bill” you repeat, drunken off his cock and fingers.
without warning, you came came, your legs spazzing as you moaned “fuck bill” he followed, his hips stuttering, as he cried out into your shoulder. he pulled out and laid next to you, both of you breathing heavily and coming off your highs.
“y/n” he looked at you “t-that was really j-just wow- thank y-you.” you kissed him, chaste and sweet “that was great yeah?” “it w-was perfect babe. t-thank you f-for t-that. i love you y-y/n.”
“i love you too bill.”
he sat up, his fingers dancing on your inner thigh.
“y/n?”
“yeah?”
“c-can we p-please do t-that again?”

Reddie + Inappropriately timed confessions
i tried to write a drabble and wrote 2500 words by accident. have some cheesy cheesy cliche
“I can’t decide if this isa really terrible idea or the best idea you’ve ever had,” Beverly said, jointbetween her fingers. “Like, entertaining no matter what, for sure. Dramatic asfuck. I just – I worry.”
Richie sighed, sinking backinto the couch. “Yeah, I know.”
“It’s not even about thetheatrics of it all, though,” Bev continued, as though Richie hadn’t spoken. “Like…Imagine Sonia’s face. That’d be worth the entire thing. But it could backfireso badly. It could embarrass him. And I know the whole, best-friend-solidaritything means I hate Myra on principle, but I also don’t actually hate Myra? She’snot great, and Sonia’s certainly trying to train her into Mrs. K. 2.0, but sheseems nice. In like, a lonely girl kind of way, you know? I used to be a lonelygirl. I remember what it was like to think no one loved me, or even liked me.So what if like… Eddie’s the first person that likes her? Or loves her? Seemsunfair to her.”
Richie sighed again, louder this time. “Yeah. I know.”
“Like, Rich, she didn’thave enough bridesmaids for all the Losers to be in Eddie’s wedding party. I knowyou acted like you were taking one for the team when you bowed out but the factthat you couldn’t handle being a groomsman was a stroke of luck for her. And thefact that Eddie has me and I could be a bridesmaid. I’m the only one who isn’trelated to her, Rich. She’s a lonely girl. Makes me sad.”
Richie didn’t sigh. Heblinked back the tears in his eyes.
“I used to be a lonelygirl, Richie.”
“Yeah,” he said, reachingout to clumsily pat her hand. “I know.”
He couldn’t stop thinkingabout what Bev had said. It wasn’t fair that he’d been across the countrygetting his degree while Eddie was here in New York, meeting a girl and fallingin love and getting engaged before Richie could even cry about it. By the timehe’d gotten here, moved into an apartment with Ben and Bev because they’re alltoo codependent, it was too late. There was already a ring on her finger.
That didn’t mean he didn’tfantasize about bursting in on the ceremony as the preacher announced themoment for anyone to speak now or forever hold their peace. Richie’s never heldpeace in his life, this would be a piece of cake.
Except the fantasy doesn’tend the way it used to, before Bev got high and sad about Myra. He used toimagine Eddie jumping into his arms, shooting the bird at his mother, yellingsomething inappropriate to the crowd at large, before they ran away togetherand went on the honeymoon Eddie was supposed to go on with Myra. Now the fantasyhad shifted. He stood awkwardly in the aisle, clearing his throat. Eddie wouldturn around, furious, glaring at him and gesturing for him to leave. Myra wouldcry. Sonia would smirk as she closed the church doors in Richie’s face.
The problem was that itwas impossible to hate Myra. Beverly was right, she’d never had friends or aboyfriend before she and Eddie got together. Her entire world revolved aroundhim, and so what if she got clingy sometimes? Richie would too if he had Eddieto cling to. So what if she came Sonia approved? She didn’t know Eddie’sinhaler was a placebo. Eddie still didn’t even like to admit it. She wasn’tdoing anything wrong by being overprotective. Richie wanted to hate her. Hewanted to hate her because he could tell Eddie wasn’t happy, was just doingwhat he thought he was supposed to do.
Just last week at hisbachelor party Eddie had drunkenly confessed to Richie that he had cold feet, was questioning why he was with Myra in the first place. He hadn’t rememberedin the morning, but Richie did. It was then that his fantasy started to shiftfrom dream to plan.
But he was scrapping theplan, now. Beverly was right (as usual). He couldn’t do that to Myra. He couldn’tdo that to Eddie. It’s an asshole move to interrupt a wedding, anyway. Whoactually does that? Richie was not going to be that asshole. He was not goingto embarrass Eddie, or himself.
_
Instead, he interruptedthe rehearsal dinner.
Though interrupted is astrong word. He hadn’t said anything in front of anyone other than Eddie. He’dquietly and calmly made his way to the head of the table, tapped the groom-to-beon the shoulder, and led him from the dining hall.
“What’s up?”
Richie stared at him, wishing somehow he could say it with his eyes. But he knew, if Eddie hadn’tseen it in their twenty years of friendship, he wasn’t about to start seeing itnow.
“Rich?”
“Don’t do this,” he pleaded. He closed his eyes, unable to look at Eddie anymore.
“Don’t do what?”
Richie almost groaned. “Getmarried! Don’t! You’re not – you’re not happy, Eds. I know you aren’t.”
“How do you know that?”Eddie asked, an edge to his voice. Richie opened his eyes expecting to seeanger, but he found Eddie’s eyes impossible to read.
“You told me. At yourbachelor party. And I can – I can see it. We all can. You can do so muchbetter, you –“
“So what, are you thespokesperson for the Losers? You’re all conspiring to get me to call off mywedding behind my back?”
“What? N – No!” Richiesputtered.
“They would send you,”Eddie said with a dark chuckle. Richie felt knots forming in his stomach. “Thatwas probably Bill’s idea, right? Have you try to convince me there’s someonebetter for me like I don’t already fucking know that? Like that’s not thereason I’m doing this in the first place?”
“Eddie, I don’t –“ heshook his head. “I don’t understand what you’re saying, nobody sent me, I just –“
“Maybe you should go.”
Richie’s eyes widened. “What?Eddie, no, I’m sorry! Look, whatever you’re talking about, it’s not – the onlyone who knows I was planning to talk to you is Bev, I haven’t talked to Billabout anything, nobody even knows you said you aren’t happy –“
He panicked, seeing Eddie’seyes were wet.
“I just – I can’t – pleasedon’t marry her, at least without knowing that you have other options, okay? I –you have options, Eddie.”
“The only other option Iwant isn’t really an option at all,” Eddie answered, looking down at theground.
It was like being punchedin the gut. Eddie was settling with Myra. He was unhappy. He was in love withsomeone else. But whoever that someone else was, it wasn’t Richie.
“Oh,” Richie whispered. Heblinked back tears. “I’m just gonna go. I – good luck tomorrow, I guess. I – I’lljust – yeah.”
He didn’t wait for Eddieto respond before he turned on his heel and left the building, only letting thetears fall when he flung himself into his car.
_
Richie glanced at the clock. It was bright red in the darkness of the hotel room, and he let his head fallback onto the pillow. Eddie would be boarding a plane right about now, Myra athis side, suitcases packed for a five-day stay at some resort somewhere Richiehadn’t bothered to listen to.
He was debating turninghis phone on, finally. It had been well over 24 hours since he’d fled therehearsal dinner, booked a hotel room, and unplugged from the rest of theworld. He couldn’t do it. Couldn’t watch the love of his life marry someoneelse. He figured, now that the ceremony was over and Ben and Bev had likelyslept off their hangovers from the reception, he should give them a call justto reassure them that he was alive.
He turned his phone on anddialed Bev before he could see how many voicemails he had. She answeredquickly, her voice hushed.
“Where the fuck are you?”
“Hotel,” he answeredglumly. “Like ten minutes from the apartment.”
“You’re a fucking moron,Richie,” she said angrily. Richie sat up in bed. “You need to call Eddie rightnow.”
Richie frowned. “Prettysure he’s on a plane to paradise right now, Bev.”
“Oh my God, you’re so useless.Myra is on a plane right now. With her sister. Because Eddie called off hisfucking wedding and now his best friend isn’t even around to help him pick upthe pieces!”
“I – What?”
“You heard me, asshole,”Beverly stated. “He’s at Bill’s right now. If –“
He thanked her and hungup, rushing out of the hotel room and to his car. He made it to Bill’s quickly, heart pounding when he saw Eddie’s car in the parking lot. The walk from hiscar to Bill’s front door was a blur, and he felt dizzy with nerves when he cameface to face with Eddie.
“Hi,” he said, standing inthe doorway awkwardly. Eddie was behind Bill, who was looking at him worriedly.“Uh.. Heard you didn’t get married.”
“Jesus Christ, Richie,”Bill muttered, before turning and leaving the room. Richie stepped inside andclosed his eyes against the sudden vertigo.
“You would’ve known soonerif you hadn’t run away,” Eddie told him, frustrated. “I think there have beensome misunderstandings between us.”
“Have there?” Richie asked, shaking his head as though it would make him less dizzy. He stared at a spot onthe wall, except the single spot became many spots, and he closed his eyesagainst it.
“Rich?” Eddie asked, andsuddenly his hand was on the small of Richie’s back, leading him to the couch. “Areyou okay?”
“Um,” Richie said. Hetried to calm himself down, push past any emotions and focus on what washappening physically, and then – “Oh. I haven’t eaten in over 24 hours. Thatcould be an issue.”
“You haven’t eaten. Inover 24 hours.”
“Oops?” He shrugged. “Tobe fair, I was in hiding and very sad.”
“Okay, put a pin in that,”Eddie said, shaking his head and standing up. He went to the kitchen andreturned with a sandwich.
“Eddie, did you really gomake yourself a sandwich just now? Are you really going to eat in front of astarving man?” He joked, then let his head fall back against the couch cushionwhen grinning made his head throb. Eddie shoved the sandwich in his mouth. Hetook a bite.
“Now,” Eddie said, sittingnext to him and taking in a deep breath. “I’m going to talk and you’re going toeat your fucking sandwich, okay?”
Richie took a bite. “Okay.”
“I talked to Beverly,”Eddie started, putting a hand up when Richie’s eyes widened and he tried to situp. “Stop! You’ll pass out, you absolute idiot!”
“Yeah,” Richie agreed, taking another bite. “The whole not-eating thing.”
Eddie huffed.
“Sorry.” Richie shrugged. “Again.”
“Anyway,” Eddie said, ignoring him. “I told Bev a bit of what you said at the rehearsal dinnerbecause I was… confused? Confused is the best word for it. I thought – I thoughtyou knew, you know? And so it hurt that you were the one to say those things, and –“
“Wait,” Richie said, notmoving this time. He swallowed the last of his sandwich and immediately wishedhe had another, but didn’t think it was the right moment to ask. “You thought Iknew what?”
Eddie bit his lip andstared down at him. “Um… Can I finish, first?” He sounded hesitant, nervous, embarrassed. Richie nodded. “Um. Yeah, so Bev was – well, I told her that yousaid I had options, and that I told you the only option I wanted wasn’t…Available. Well, she didn’t understand what I meant so I started to think… Maybeyou didn’t understand either.”
Richie wished he hadwater.
“She asked me who I wantedto be with, if not Myra, which to me was crazy! Because I thought… I thoughteverybody knew. Had known. For like, a long time. Years. Lots of them. And Ithought because nothing had ever happened… That it wasn’t an option. And sobeing told that you have options by the person who isn’t an option was… Youknow.”
Richie’s mouth opened, then shut. Eddie stared at him.
“I really don’t know,”Richie admitted. “I’m also probably really dehydrated and like, malnourished, though. You might be making total sense but I really just heard you say the wordoption like twelve times.”
Eddie let out a groan offrustration. Richie’s eyes closed.
_
When he opened his eyes againhis feet were in Eddie’s lap and the TV was on. His head hurt, and when Eddienoticed he was awake he was handed a water bottle. He chugged it and fell backto sleep.
_
“Are you going to stayawake this time?”
Richie licked his drylips.
“Okay, you’re going homeand you’re going to shower and have an actual meal and then we are having afucking conversation, Richie,” Eddie said, pulling him up by the arm anddragging him to the front door. He heard Bill call out a goodbye.
A few hours later he saton his bed opposite Eddie, who had a look of determination on his face.
“Okay,” he said slowly. “Areyou ready to actually listen to the words I’m saying?”
Richie frowned. “Thisfeels like bullying.”
Ignoring him, Eddie, whoseemingly had had enough inconveniences and disruptions, impatiently said, “Ilove you, and I called off the wedding because Beverly seems to think you loveme, too.”
Richie gaped at him.
“Please stop making thatface at me and say something,” Eddie said awkwardly, looking down at thecomforter.
“You – What?”
“Yeah.”
“Dude, I was – I wasliterally planning on interrupting your wedding ceremony like, two days ago, what the fuck? You – What?”
Eddie laughed a little. “God,can you imagine Ma’s face if you did?”
“I imagined it frequentlyand in great detail.”
“Seriously, though. Thanksfor not doing that. Although you could’ve said something like… sooner.”
“Apparently you couldhave, too!”
Eddie rolled his eyes asif that didn’t matter.
“Well, at least I gotaround to it eventually.”
“You got around to it?!”
“Yes?” Richie said. “Whowas the one who pulled you from your rehearsal dinner to tell you about youroptions?”
“First of all, your speechabout options didn’t even make sense. Second of all, who’s the one wholiterally said both of our first I love you’s for us?”
“Okay, youhave a point with that,” Richie conceded.
Eddie sighed, falling backonto the bed and looking over at Richie. Richie’s heart pounded in his chest. It didn’t feel real.
“Why are we still talkingwhen you could be over here kissing me?”
Richie laughed, layingnext to Eddie and resting a hand on his warm cheek. “I think we need to work onour timing. That seems to be our major-“
He was cut off by Eddie’slips. He didn’t bother finishing his sentence; they had all the time in theworld now.

Losers Do It Best
Fic summary: The losers spend a day doing a bunch of regular teen stuff for Halloween.
He had not ever had such an interesting summer? Not until he’d met and bonded with the other losers over Pennywise three summers ago now. By this point, every summer had been as interesting as that first summer together. He had never had such a closely knit friend group. Obviously, he’d never really had friends. He definitely did not miss the days of it just being Bill and him.
Right then, he was sitting between Richie and Beverly. Bill had a few giant pumpkins and knives spread out in front of them all. Eddie had never actually carved a pumpkin. He’d never been allowed to. He had always been told it would make him sick and a bunch of other bullshit.
Bullshit like his asthma. Bullshit like his inhalers. Bullshit like his many many prescriptions. All of the bullshit he’d been naive enough to believe all his life. He bit his lip at those thoughts and turned his attention from his own mind to Bill.
“We’re going to have to share because we only have three pumpkins. Here, Eds. Take this and share it with Trashmouth,” Bill told him with a small smile to him, earning a playful punch to his arm from Richie. Eddie gave a tiny chuckle.
“Stan, do you want to gut our pumpkin for-“ Bill started after handing Bev and Ben their pumpkin, along with Richie and Eddie. Mike, Stan, and Bill sat close enough to share. Stan immediately shook his head from side to side. He got a bit green just thinking about having to feel that disgusting texture in his hand. Bill rolled his eyes gently and shook his head over at the other. He totally didn’t find it kind of adorable. “You know, for someone who once took on It, you’re kind of a wuss sometimes.”
Beverly and Ben were already gutting theirs, Bev doing the deed, not that Ben couldn’t. He watched her with puppy dog eyes. Thankfully, she’d been told by Bill last year that Bill hadn’t written that poem from so many years ago. Therefore, it was okay for Ben to still have a massive crush on Beverly. He thought Bill was over that by now anyway.
“This feels like your mom, Eddie,” Richie teased his best friend he’d ever had. There was a reason he didn’t tell the shorter boy what he felt about him. Well, there were a lot of reasons why. Firstly, Richie had been brought up to believe that was wrong. It was just wrong to feel that way towards another guy. Everyone in this century knew that. Second off, Eddie already got bullied for being small and for his asthma. Richie did not want to add to that list. He definitely did not want him to ever be hurt because of him. Therefore, he’d kept quiet about his feelings for years now. He’d honestly started seeing Eddie differently during the summer they’d faced off with It.
“Shut the fuck up. That’s so disgusting,” he made a face and shoved at him. He didn’t think he wanted to touch the guts even before Richie had said that and added to that. He wrinkled his nose and Richie saw. It was cute. The taller boy reached over for Eddie’s hand to pull into the mush of the pumpkin. Eddie squealed ever so slightly. He shoved at Richie more and finally got away. “I am so going to murder you, Richard Tozier.”
“Aw, come on, Eddie Spaghetti,” Richie whined with a pout. “I’m sure you’ve never gutted or probably even been allowed to so much as touch a pumpkin before, right? Here.”
“I- ah-“ Eddie’s eyes got wide when Richie brings his hands slowly down into the swirling guts of the pumpkin again. The shorter boy bit his lip and not only could feel pumpkin guts both on his and Richie’s hands, but also he could feel how close Richie was to him suddenly. He shivered and cringed as he felt all that disgusting, gooey stuff on his hands. “Okay, okay. I did it and now I’m done touching them.”
“Oh, come on, Eds. Aren’t you the one that got your arm almost torn off by a clown three summers back? And the one who saved Ben’s life? Went through grey water to help us? Any of this sound familiar, Dr. K?” Richie reminded him with a small smile over at him. “Nowget in there before I get in your mom. Again.”
“Beep beep, Richie,” Eddie told him with a glare at that damn comment. He stuck his hands in and eventually got all the orange goo from inside their pumpkin. After that, they cute out the face and decorated it together, the other losers doing the same. Eddie used a lot of hand sanitizer from one of his multiple bottles from his fanny pack.
They all finished with the pumpkins and put them at Ben’s place for the time being. Bev mentioned the pumpkin patch and everyone got excited. Eddie bit his lip. He didn’t have a way to make any money for himself with his mother and the still being dependent on meds and inhalers. They all knew that and Bev gave him a little nudge.
“We actually already discussed this when we went to kidnap you. Richie offered to pay for you today,” Bev smiled down at him and back up to Richie, who looked down.
“What? R-“ Eddie started to question and protest. Richie put his entire hand over Eddie’s mouth.
“Yeah, yeah. It’s only because your mom is unavailable tonight, Eddie Spaghetti,” he explained with a tiny smirk down at him, causing Eddie to roll his eyes. They all started walking to the pumpkin patch together. It was nice to be part of a pack. They were his real family. He would not be alive without them and vice versa. He walked between Richie and Ben now. Their new kid had slowly been losing weight and gaining muscle mass instead. He was still as sweet as ever, though.
Eddie could have sworn he had seen Bev looking over his direction more than once just on the walk to the pumpkin patch. They arrived and started deciding what to do. The gang all looking around for what options they had.
“I haven’t actually been allowed to come here before because-“ Eddie started to explain to the group before Bill playfully cut him off.
“Because you might get cancer,” Bill interrupted with a tiny smile down at Eddie.
“Or get sick again,” Bev continued with her own smirk.
“Or literally anything else,” Richie finished the group’s joking. They all started snickering together, eventually making a dramatically sighing Eddie snort, too. He flipped them the bird as they all decided what to do.
“We obviously have to ride the hayride at least five times for Eddie’s sake of getting the whole experience,” Ben told them and pointed to the tractor for the hayride.
“Oh, also, the food and drinks are spectacular here,” Mike reminded them. Stan nodded in agreement.
“Oh, yes. The food. We all need to at least get some of their famous Pumpkin Spice Kettle Corn,” Stan added. They’d gotten that last year and Bill and he had loved it. Bill nodded to Stan.
“You have at least had pumpkin pie before, right, Eds?” Richie asked him as he looked down at him. He was probably already having too much fun, but he was nervous as hell.
“Nope, still comes with possible cancer,” Eddie looked up at him. He chewed his lip. He didn’t want any of them to ever know he secretly didn’t hate Richie’s nicknames for him.
Eventually, they all ordered their food and drinks to share with each other. They’d decided to do the hayride first while they ate. Eddie had been offered so many pieces of food and sips of fancy Halloween drinks he’d never have. He only had taken a sip of Richie’s drink he’d offered him. He didn’t like germs and as much as he loved and trusted everyone here more than anyone, he still was neurotic as hell.
Richie couldn’t help but to take it all in. He’d always adored anytime he got with Eddie. It was getting slightly darker out, nearing sunset. Eddie sat beside Richie on the hayride. Bill beside Stan. Ben and Mike sitting on both sides of Beverly.
They all shouted on the few times they went on the hayride. After a bit, they decided to go check out the corn maze. They got lost, but managed to at least keep a buddy system going. Richie got worried he’d lost Eddie. He’d always been so scared to lose him and he was so protective because he was the most important thing in his life. Richie had nightmares a lot of nights from that day Eddie’s arm had been broken. Richie remembered way too vividly how abosolutely terrified he was. He’d never been so panicked than that day. He’d been so worried Eddie was about to die right there in front of them all. He’d tried to get the shorter boy to pay attention to him and not the monster coming to kill them all. He’d told him jokes and even held his face to look at him. They’d both been horrified that day. Then, he took it all out on the other losers because they wanted to keep going after that. Thankfully, It was dead and they all were at a pumpkin patch. Eddie was safely beside him.
Richie wished Eddie felt the same way Richie did. Not that Richie had ever told him or anyone else that besides Beverly. He’d told her for the first time only today and she’d said she already knew, they all did. She also told him it was just as obvious that Eddie had returned his feelings for some time now.
The shortest of the losers jumped out and grabbed Richie to scare him. Eddie had yelled to try to make it more scary. Richie jumped just a little before hitting Eddie.
“You dumbass! I was looking for you so I can return you to your mom. Got to get on her good side, you know? Also, I definitely was not scared,” Richie told him, not moving away from their close positions. Eddie bit his lip unconsciously and looked up at the other.
Richie blushed in the dark slightly and cursed his best friend. Why must he always torture him like this? At that moment, the rest of their friends walked through the corn they’d all been yelling and sprinting through for half an hour before. Bev noticed their positions and gave Richie a smile. He shook his head side to side. She made a sad face and Eddie moved a bit away from Richie.
“Movie, anyone? Something scary?” Bev suggested with a glance around to everyone. Eddie shrugged along with the rest of the losers.
Later, they all walked in a line to buy tickets, Richie paying for Eddie’s ticket. The shorter boy gave him a look. He didn’t know what that weird churning in his stomach was. He bit his lip and blushed slightly when he made accidental eye contact with his best friend.
“You really didn’t have to pay for anything today… Th-“ Eddie said quietly to Richie.
“I’m just getting on your mom’s good side, remember? I don’t really mind what side I’m on, as long as I’m on your m-“ Richie started his mom joke and Eddie interrupted.
“Thank you, Rich,” Eddie said as he looked down and bit his lip. Thankfully, they had to go with the group to go sit down for the movie. The others sat down first, leaving Richie and Eddie on one of the two end spots. As soon as the lights turned out for the commercials and trailers and whatnot, Bev stood up, grabbing Ben’s hand to tug him gently.
“Psst. Hey, you two, if you guys wait here, the rest of us can just bring you guys back drinks and whatnot. What do you two want?” Bev asked Eddie and Richie. The rest of the guys stood up with her, unsure of why the two weren’t just coming with. Eddie was obviously confused as hell, but Richie responded with the first thing that came to mind. Beverly nodded and the gang wandered off. After a minute, Richie was a bit of a red faced mess. All of today had led to this moment. All of these long years of confusing feelings for his best friend.
“Are you okay, Rich? Are you sick? Your face looks red, but it’s dark so I’m probably seeing things. Are you okay, though?” Eddie asked worriedly. He gazed over at him.
“I’m not sick. I’m fine. I- so I have- Eds, you trust me, right?” Richie asked, glad they were all in the very back row of the theater. Eddie nodded a bit, obviously not any less worried.
“More than anyone. W-why?” the shorter boy asked in concern. What was going on?
“Good. If you trust me, please, close your eyes…” Richie asked, trying really hard not to come across as nervous as he felt internally. He’d never done this before with anyone. He didn’t want to mess it up with the one person he’d ever loved. Eddie gave the slightest nod and closed his eyes.
“I- okay… why d-“ Eddie started before he blushed when he felt something on his lips. Those were lips on his lips. Those were Richie Tozier lips on his own! What the fuck? What was happening? Eddie’s eyes opened wide as he saw his best friend kissing him. He was so warm all over and his stomach was doing that twisting thing again. He didn’t pull away, he couldn’t. He was paralyzed. He didn’t think he’d ever been so genuinely shocked. His eyes closed after a minute before Richie opened his and pulled away.
“Fuck- I- fuck, Eddie, I’m so sorry,” he started with a face as red as Eddie’s. “I didn’t mean to- I mean, I guess I did mean to… Look, man, I’ve kind of wanted to do that for… well, for a while- I’m so sorry that you don’t feel the same. I won’t ever do it again-“
“Beep beep, Richie…” he breathed out. Eddie stopped his words by shifting back to shakily press his lips against Richie’s again. He was still red faced as the taller boy’s hands went to gently hold his cheeks. It wasn’t a deep kiss, it was just a sweet, innocent first kiss, but it would be the kiss they both remembered forever.
“Awww!” they could hear all the losers humming in unison as they looked at the pair. They all sat down for the movie.
“Finally! It only took you all day just to kiss him,” Bev teased Richie with a smile and a pat on his back.
“Only all day? More like it’s taken them both over three years to finally confess,” Bill added as he threw some popcorn at Eddie. He blushed and just looked at the movie. They held hands in the dark theater during the movie like every cliche couple. They all ate their popcorn and candy. It had been a great Halloween themed day and they couldn’t be happier. Eddie knew he’d never been so happy.

Moving Day
I don't know man here’s a short thing I kept thinking about... (this might actually be continued and sad I’m not sure yet)   I love these boys okay bye don't make fun of me, and enjoy!
Summary:
Richie says goodbye to Eddie.
“Eds,” Richie said softly. Eddie looked up at him. Richie’s eyes were puffy and his cheeks were red. “I think I should tell you something before you leave.”
“What is it, Richie?” Eddie said. He was in the middle of putting luggage inside of the trunk of his mother’s car. “Were you crying?”
Richie could feel tears build up in his eyes again. “I-I’m just crying cos I’m really gonna really miss your mom,” Richie said as he fell into a tearful fit.
“Is that what you came here to say?” Eddie sighed. He was very annoyed and would rather be doing anything than moving and leaving behind his friends. Or sat least the ones who were still in Derry. Richie was even more distraught than Eddie could ever be. “Richie…” Eddie said softly. Richie continued to cry. His glasses were lightly fogged over.
“I don’t want you to leave, Eddie,” Richie said between sobs. Eddie put his hand on his back lightly. Richie hugged the boy tightly. Eddie could feel his annoyance being slowly replaced with grief.
“I-I don’t want to leave you either,” Eddie softly whispered as a tear fell down his cheek. Eddie pulled away to wipe his small amount of tears. Eddie put his hand on Richie’s cheek to wipe his tears. “Don’t cry, dumbass. You’re making me cry.”
Richie smiled. “Eddie, I love you.”
Eddie smiled back. “I have to go Richie…” He said as he continued to put his bags in the back of the car. “My mom will be out soon.”
“Eddie,” Richie said again. There were no more tears aside from the old ones which were drying on his cheeks. “I love you,” He got closer to Eddie and softly gripped his hand.
“I love you too,” Eddie whispered. Richie leaned in and placed his lips against Eddie’s. Eddie of course kissed back. This was definitely not the first time they’ve kissed. Richie put his hands on Eddie’s cheeks. Eddie had his on Richie’s hips. They stayed that way for what felt like a lifetime.
“EDWARD KASPBRAK!” a shrill voice caused them to quickly pull apart.
“Fuck,” Eddie said softly under his breath.
“Well if it isn’t the world’s biggest cock block,” Richie greeted the larger woman with a smile.
“You!” She pointed her finger angrily in Richie’s face, “you stay away from my son! You’re nothing but a bad influence! You put your dirty lips anywhere near my baby again I will have you arrested!”
“I’m sorry Ms. K, it really isn’t my fault you passed on such fantastic genes to your son,” Richie shrugged.
Sonia forcefully grabbed Eddie’s wrist and opened the car door lightly tossing Eddie in and then slamming the door without dropping eye contact with Richie.
Eddie rolled down his window and reached his head out as soon as he knew his mom was on the other side of the car. Richie met him by the window for another short kiss. “Eddie! Get your head back in the car!” Sonia yelled again.
“Bye, Richie,” Eddie smiled.
“‘til we meet again, my love,” Richie said in a bad British accent. Sonia quickly started the car.
 “I can’t wait,” Eddie smiled.
“Eddie, promise me when we see each other again, you’ll still love me!” Richie yelled as the car pulled away.
“Eddie enough say goodbye,” Sonia said trying to roll Eddie’s window up, but half of his body was out of the window.
“Of course I’ll love you Trashmouth, how could I not?” The car began to move down the street.
“I’ll marry you someday, Eddie. Just you fucking wait!” Richie yelled as he ran behind the car. “Don’t forget about me, don’t forget about this!” Sonia tried to drive as fast as she legally could. Eddie brought his body back into the car. “I love you!” Richie yelled. Eddie buried his face in his hands. He knew he was going to be yelled at for the rest of the car ride, but he couldn’t stop smiling. He looked out the rear window to see Richie buckled over; his hands on his knees as he tried to catch his breath.  He loved that loser, and he always would.
