Petition to #savefatethewinxsaga
This link was shared to me by @ivashkova-art and I cannot express how grateful I am for it.
If signing isn't an option then please spread the link, spam the hashtag or let others know of its existence (respectfully, of course) as this marvelous person did to me. Every little bit counts.
Hopefully our voices are heard and even if they aren't we'll know we tried. That alone means a lot as a fandom.

The homoeroticism and overfamiliarity in The Glory is so deliberately rancid.
In the past, it was used by the bullies (and especially Park Yeon-jin) towards Dong-eun. Inviting themselves to her home (a place where she should be safe), saying her legs are pretty (before shoving an iron to them). Superficial compliments used as they steadily destroy her life.
For Dong-eun, love and hatred intermingle. They always have. Park Yeon-jin taught her that. Her own mother taught her that as she signed her away.
As Dong-eun plots her revenge, she speaks of longing for Park Yeon-jin. A burning desire to see her consumed in flames. And when she's face to face with the bullies, it's all "Yeon-jin ah" and "I'm glad you never changed". She turns it back on them. Smiles in their faces as they once did to her. Words of love soaked in an undeniable coat of hatred.

Okay, apologies to the people like me who are too shy to post non-anon asks. But, I turned them off and cleared the inbox list (sorry to the actual asks), resend if you wish me to answer the real ones, because good lord.

I understand being, maybe upset about an artist not drawing in a fandom you enjoyed them in but, really? It's childish behavior and uncomfortable. Especially when you bring pronouns (that had literally nothing to do with it) into whatever toddler conversation you're telling yourself in your mind about. Like... dude, thank you for calling me delusional for no reason I suppose? You're the weird one here for this.
It in no way involves me if I move onto a different topic, and you're mad about it. Literally just unfollowing is a lot nicer than trying to, what exactly? Pressure me into drawing fanart for pw again? It's strange at best, maybe step away from the internet for a moment to calm down if something like this is what ticks you off the most. Like genuinely.
Because there are other pw artists who have moved on as well to other fandoms. If you're doing this to me, who knows what other artists you're getting pissy to when they most definitely do not deserve such treatment.

Okay so they still won’t leave us alone. They’re still in Ted’s tag and just won’t go elsewhere now trying to make something of the mass unfollow Ted did for whatever reason he wanted.
But they’re still just harassing g the tag.
the best solution i can give you is to utilize the Block and Report buttons.
because they don't actually care about truth or justice or anything they try and masquerade this crusade as - they just want to ruin a man's life, plain and simple. there's absolutely no other way to spin it at this point.
it's been proven that the misconduct they've been so hellbent on crucifying him for is FALSE/COMPLETELY MADE UP and yet i still got to see with my own eyes "i don't care if that girl was lying, he still should go down for it". go down for a complete lie??? you're going to keep insisting he's a groomer when you have just admitted yourself that it's not true????
they also at one point tried to say this was "to protect the minor" in question. and yet doxxed her, slutshamed her, continue to keep calling her names and harassing her and her family. this is a child - one saying and doing stupid shit online that has done damage, yes, but a legitimate child. and these are grown ass adults trying to destroy her while flying the banner of "we must protect-" literally shut the fuck up, no one believes you. especially when they're still stalking and harassing said minor even as of just a few hours ago - a literal child, remind you.
they're deranged and have no lives - no one else would devote this much time to trying to destroy a B-list actor for no other reasons than petty revenge. and because he didn't give them the attention they wanted, because they formed a parasocial relationship with social media accounts they don't even know that he runs himself or alone.
no other explanation other than being chronically online and unhinged.
and frankly, it's pathetic.
don't give them your time, don't give them your attention. block, report, move on. you can hope they'll lose interest with time, but probably not soon, so just spare your peace of mind and ignore them

- COURT’S BACK IN SESSION -
Requests are Open!
I’m doing things a bit differently than I used to. I’ll be keeping requests open and I won’t be closing them. I’m just going to write for requests that strike up my interest. I’ll be tracking my requests on a Google Sheets file linked in my navigation. I’ll try to update it each night (with breaks on Sundays; I’m UTC-6:00/CST), so please be patient before sending an anon to make sure I got it. The link is in my pinned post!
I’ll try to clear out requests on a monthly basis. You’re always welcome to resubmit requests if I don’t do them the first time! And there’s no limit on how many requests you can send. Please know that sending requests no longer guarantees that I’ll write them, I’ll write as much as I can!
All old requests have been cleared out, I’d like to get a fresh start!
As a reminder: my default is GN!readers, I write for ANY AA character (exceptions: the Great Ace Attorney Adventures and Prof. Layton games), and this blog is strictly SFW.
Happy requesting!

it is midnight and my brain is whirring over silly writing things.
Particularly the lack of honorifics and the use of western order with names in my fanfics. To start off, personally, as a reader, I don't mind either way as long as there's consistency (example: my biggest gripe with the Mob Psycho 100 dub is that when Mob is referred to by his actual name it's Shigeo Kageyama, whereas Reigen is referred to as Reigen Arataka— I actually wasn't sure until today which was his first name until I googled it).
That being said, I'm also very big on staying as culturally accurate as possible and as a result, it feels a little disjointed to want to be culturally accurate but also write given name first.
Part of my decision actually stems from research I did while writing my senior thesis which was about the English translation and localization of Japanese manga and particularly the decision making that goes into the processes. One of the articles I read covered the usage of honorifics in manga and while I don't have the link to that any more, the point of that article can be simply summed up as this: leaving honorifics in your translated work is kind of lazy.
Now, don't get me wrong, it definitely feels more lazy to not type in the hyphen and those extra letters... It's just also you're putting a little bit of the word onto your reader. Some will definitely know what -san, -sensei, and -senpai mean. But -dono? Maybe even -kun? Granted -kun and -chan don’t have English equivalents so translating them is nigh impossible, but leaving them in could potentially lead a reader to be confused and pause to look up the meaning of the foreign word when the translator could have just done it for them in text, hence, lazy.
(This also would apply to the usage of Japanese words in text and this is something I do, though I do try to minimize it and make sure the word's meaning is conveyed through context if not outright defined almost immediately. Personally, the use of Japanese words is mostly in relation to food (bento, katsu, senbei)... Though I guess I could just call them packaged lunch, fried meat cutlet and rice cracker... But bento and katsu are probably loan words at this point...)
Of course, I'm talking about fanfic that is written in my native language of English and not something I've translated, so I don't think that including honorifics would be viewed as lazy at all. While editing &here i am alive for posting I did consider adding honorifics in since the first draft didn't have them, but I elected not to. Mostly due to laziness, but I think I also felt that it’s fine to not have them. There are relationship nuances that are lost in the omission but they’re things I can live with (and frankly, as I read in another article, these nuances can be articulated via written dialogue without the use of honorifics). At the end of the day, for me, it’s about consistency.
