srk really delivers when it comes to double roles. he plays each character differently with their own unique mannerisms, quirks, and charm – as seen in jawan. but the way he does it is so fun to watch. for example:

in fan (2016), he played aryan & gaurav as well as aryan pretending to be gaurav and gaurav pretending to be aryan

in don (2006) he was don pretending to be vijay pretending to be don

in duplicate (1998) we had babloo & manu but also babloo pretending to be manu and manu pretending to be babloo

Baburao: Tuyul are those that protect money materials of rich people, they summon them.

Rocky: They secretly run a business to connect any animals to creatures to any timeline.

Tanya: So what should we do? Yo were the ones who were supposed to find me but I found you tracing the places you'd be in anyways. India hasn't changed it's map has it? Well it has but tracing you guys was easy. Aditya taught me some workable things for sure. Asked for a friend and destiny is there. Believe it, or not! Actually don't because now, I've made a plan. Here's the plan. We call them telling Rocky is a deity. They would be easily convinced because many types of bling bangs call them. We will make an excuse, that Rocky is not satisfied with Aditya's invention. After all Aditya is a psychiatrist, why does he have these science stuff as his back hand doings anyways? Now see, we are not dumping on Aditya, we are trying to save ourselves here. Or we become homeless and beg, eyes of our face and no hands and legs. We will tell what happened to Aditya as soon as we can get him on phone. Besides, Karan bought us this biiiig plushie of Buttercup her eye is like blocking evil eye type thing see!! And don't wrap your hand with the wire of the phone, we need that phone. We knoww we are a sweet couple no need to be jealous Rocky, you're our people?

Tommy: And I'm your doggy na?

Sanju: I'm not even that.

Tanya: Oh come on! Guys!

Babloo: Hello? I'm Babloo.

Baburao: Bubble? That's new

Bollywood Movies Part CCXI: The Mollywood Takeover Part XL

In Savithri, Savithri (Samyuktha Menon) is a communist on the run and hiding as a servant to the lecherous Raghava Pilla (Joju George) in post independence Kerala. In Rachiyamma, Kuttikrishnan (Asif Ali) remembers his romance with the self-sufficient Rachiyamma (Parvathy Thiruvothu) who refuses to be beholden to anyone. In Rani, Cherukkan (Roshan Mathew) wants to have sex with his girlfriend Pennu (Darshana Rajendran) but worries about people finding out.

Aanum Pennum as an anthology about the relationships between men and women doesn't really work out. The best out of the three is Rachiyamma with a stellar performance from Parvathy Thiruvothu. The best part of Rani is Nedumudi Venu as Vasudevan and the ending, although the Eden allegory is too christian for my taste. Savithri is one dimensional and a bit boring. Favorite song is Kadha Padu (no subtitles).

At the beginning of the pandemic, Sherley (Parvathy Thiruvothu) and her husband Roy (Sharafudheen) go to her father Ittyavira's (Biju Menon) house. There they deal with bureaucracy trying to get Sherley's daughter Sophie (Thejaswini Praveen) from her school in Tamil Nadu. Ittyavira decides to sell his house and the land it's on partially due to his Roy's business troubles and partially due to his failing health. However, before he can do it, he needs Roy's help to unearth a skeleton.

Aarkkariyam is a bit slow, but it's a good movie about family secrets. I enjoyed how life at Ittyavira's house was shown and how it compared to Roy and Sherley's apartment in the city. The relationship between Roy and Ittyavira was well done, which really made the movie work. All of the performances were good. Favorite song is Chiramabhayamee (English subtitles).

In Majnu Lipakshi (Fatima Sana Shaikh) and crime boss Babloo (Jaideep Ahlawat) are unhappily married as Babloo is gay and he keeps disposing of the men Lipakshi tries to have affairs with. In Khilauna Meenal (Nushratt Baruccha) is the primary caretaker of her sister Binny (Inayat Verma). When they lose their electricity, Meenal begins working for Vinod Agarwal in the hopes that he will help get their electricity back. In Geeli Pucchi Bharti (Konkona Sen Sharma) is initially resentful of the inexperienced Priya (Aditi Rao Hydari) getting a job Bharti is overqualified for. Soon after they become friends, but when Bharti reveals her caste, things get complicated. In Ankahi Nats (Shefali Shah) bonds with Kabir (Manav Kaul) while dealing with her husband Rohan (Tota Roy Chowdhury) refusing to acknowledge that their daughter Samaira (Sara Arjun) is going deaf.

Ajeeb Daastaans is an anthology that purports to be about strange things but I submit that the actual underlying theme connecting all of the movies is betrayal, as they all feature at least one. Of these shorts, Geeli Pucchi and Ankahi are the best. While Majnu and Khilauna have good acting, their stories are lackluster. Favorite song is Sang Rehna (audio only).

Top 5 SRK & Bobby films! 😊💖

Asoka (2001) - This is my most favorite film ever. SRK was at his most beautiful here (I love when he wears kajal) and his chemistry with Kareena was fire. I also really love the soundtrack and cinematography – every frame was like a painting. I own the “making of” book and it was really interesting to read what Santosh Sivan had to say about the whole process. He's brilliant and really knows his stuff.

Yes Boss (1997) - A childhood favorite starring my forever OTP. This is one of my comfort films and I can never get tired of it. The soundtrack is perfect and makes me so nostalgic. What I love the most about this film is how Rahul & Seema are flawed yet realistic characters you grow to love and root for. SRK & Juhi are magical together <3

Main Hoon Na (2004) - Lol this film was my entire personality when it came out. The songs are still iconic to this day and Major Ram is my dream man. SRK & Sushmita were 🔥

Duplicate (1998) - Another childhood favorite! My family loves this film and we've seen it hundreds of times. SRK played both parts well - Manu was terrifying but so hot and I'm like, always quoting Babloo lmao. Also my beautiful queens Juhi & Sonali and the always adorable Farida Jalal were a delight to watch. I love the silly comedy and the songs are great (and nostalgic) as well.

One 2 Ka 4 (2001) - I don't care if this film flopped but I love it (except how green tinted it is ugh). I think I wore my VHS tape out with how much I played it lol. SRK as Arun was so so sexy. There's just something about him as an asshole cop. Juhi as Geeta stole the show she was my favorite. Their chemistry was definitely the hottest in this film. The scenes with Jackie Shroff were really sweet and I liked the friendship between him and SRK. I think the soundtrack of this film is one of A.R. Rahman's most underrated, it's filled with gems!
