The amount of times we met and had plans and you couldn't handle it bc it involves conditions of outside /loud places, FUN plans, pride parades you came all the way to be with me in and had to cut short, ideas to go to a club. Those people also clearly never did any activism.

When shiri Eisner makes posts of "boohoo stop telling people to go to protests bc some are disabled and cant" it's fucking embarrassing a. Bc many disabled people can, b. Because literally then it is Not About You. If YOU can't, then don't. No one's shaming anyone who can't go, and its more important to tell the general public to get off their asses then to hurt the feelings of people thinking its about them. BUT THEN on tumblr.com apparently IT IS about them as people go to specific disabled people's tumblr to get mad at them for not protesting (or not protesting enough? Half this fucking website doesn't do shit). What's wrong with people lmao??

Or like when she had a post that was "ways to be an activist for disabled people who can't go to protests" which is so stupid bc it gets protests the same Individualistic issue of veganism when it becomes a personality thing and not ideological goal you want to support. It's once again, not about you. Not only did she list memes as way to be an activist (stupid) the entire approach is wrong instead of writing "ways to still help if you can't go to a protest"(= lovely important post to make. There are many ways. None include memes lmao) but it's all about YOU and how YOU can still feel nice in your activism ego.

Anyway you said none of these things, you're a disabled person putting so much effort just to show up bc it matters to you. Meanwhile half this website never been to more than two protests (which probably also were like women's March lol). Ppl should calm down you owe them shit

going back and looking at bagilgulhaze's first response, and this is more or less what they were doing:

I marked the times they were being critical of the Palestinian resistance in red, and the times they were (even marginally) critical of Israel in blue. There's about a 4:1 ratio there, even before discussing content.

But getting into content, all the criticisms of Israel are vague and past tense, not discussing the current, ongoing wanton destruction and killing happening in Gaza. Whereas the parts in red are specific, current, and visceral. Which perfectly tees up another part from the article:

"was imposed" "is silenced" etc

From a show or a book or a movie probably in the past 2 weeks, I cry very easily when I'm by myself😅.

Not yet! Just some siblings I helped raise and a few friends I parent here and there.

Yes, tho I try to cut back. Definitely less than I used to.

5. What's the first thing you notice about people?

I normally don't really pay attention to people 🙈

Something that can grab my attention is a nice smile tho, or if they have a dog with them.

Brown.

7. Scary movies or happy endings?

HAPPY ENDINGS!!!!

I don't think these are on two opposite ends of a spectrum but I both hate scary movies and love happy endings so it works. I don't mind tragedy and angst as much as I do scary movies, but I do much prefer them having a happy ending.

8. Any special talents?

I don't really have any special talents, just some very regular talents.

Israel.

Reading, cooking, watching tv/movies and engaging in fandom, gossiping (👀), learning languages, technically writing ig.

I do not, but I'm a proud aunt of several.

I dance for hmmm 14 years? Now I dabble when I get the chance. I played some volleyball when I was REALLY young, and a few weeks of basketball a few years ago. I really love playing sports but I don't really do that much anymore sadly.

14. Favorite subject in school?

Okay I might be the biggest nerd for saying this but literally everything. I LOVED school and every subject was interesting. Sometimes the classes were bad if we had bad teachers but I still loved it. I guess math was my favorite? Can going to the library be a subject? I was there every single day and the walls are full of my book recs.

15. Dream job?

I wanted to say unemployment bc why would my dream be to have a job but it would drive me up the wall not having a proper occupation.

Probably something with writing code, or discourse analysis (the linguistic kind, not fandom skjsd), and I already have a plan with a friend to open a daycare for toddlers when I'm older so. From unemployment I got to 3 different jobs oh well.

The Bible doesn’t say they built pyramids, it says they were forced to work the fields, make mudbricks and build cities and other buildings. Now I’m not a Jew, so I can’t comment on what a Jewish person believes or doesn’t believe about what happened to the Israelites in Egypt. As both a Christian and an Egyptologist all I can say is that the Israelites were oppressed by some dipshit pharaoh according to Exodus, and that the earliest known evidence of Israelite presence in Egypt comes from the Late Period (a lot later in Egyptian history than the New Kingdom, which is the era most people like to set the Jewish oppression in).

That aside, the term “controversial truth” actually applied to the fact that for the longest of times it’s been taught in schools that slaves built the pyramids specifically, and that these slaves (whether they were native Egyptian or not) were treated horribly. Both are outdated ideas. We have found workman’s villages, graffito, and other archaeological evidence in those villages (such as remains of fish bones) that show that these people were, in fact, workers, got fed, and had any work-related injuries taken care of.
