Day one of quitting Instagram for at least a month challenge!

Who knows if I’ll keep this as a series or not but. I FEEL GOOD! It’s hard not going on it to do absolutely nothing, (usually I’d scroll endlessly as a trauma response, and also make drafts of stories and posts but be too anxious and unwell to post them at all. very unhealthy for me fr), but I’ve already felt myself being more productive and choosing better things for myself. Like today, I wrote a LOT about school and it was helpful for my psyche! I talked to my coffeehouse friend guy with a cool name, and to my old teacher who swore a lot (it was v funny). Did some online shopping with my mom and ALSO!!!! get this. Drew a BEAR. on. ProCreate. Can u believe??? I have been terrified of digital art because I haven’t been immediately amazing at it (LOL, gifted burnout syndrome anyone????) but I am so proud of my little guy I might post him here later, but I won’t worry abt it, and I’m also excited that I found a way to create digitally in a way that actually feels good, maybe? Todays been a good day! I also went out with my family to dinner (very fun, perfect salad, root beer, and my mom met a green beret). After that I took my brother on a walk and felt triggered by something at a bookstore, then lost my phone. I retrieved it from the restaurant. After that I had a meltdown in the car, got some clarity thanks to my mom, and went into the store to buy some things for myself, but my mom bought them for me :,)) so sweet. My family is really amazing and I’m glad to have them! I’ve got to just focus on the good, and meander into curiosity and excitement. A good life I’m to live now.

So, yeah. Pretty good first day offline of Instagram.
