The 100 Rewatch 2023 ep 1.3
Earth Kills.
Yes we love the Earth Skills/Earth Kills play on words.
On the Ark, flash back young happy Jahas and Griffins. They are so cute. Ugh that look Jaha gives Abby and Jake when they're being romantic. So longing, so pining. Frankly that would have been a good storyline.
Groaning Jasper who everyone thinks is dying. Ooh Clarke hears Charlotte having a nightmare. This is a terrible storyline but actually a really good one. The horror, the pain, the tragedy. It points out the injustice of the systems on the Ark. Jailing a prepubescent girl who just lost her parents for assaulting a guard? Where were you Jaha when that went down? Was that a place where you needed to enforce the rules?
Oh, the missing kids. Trina and somebody else. "Trina Relax we're fine." What is that? Oh that's the poison fog. Not fine. Nope. Great way to introduce tension and danger frankly.
Bellamy showing off with his throwing knives. Murphy being an ass. Atom being Bellamy's bitch. lol. Pascale. That's the other one. No they're not just lost. He makes Murphy guard the camp.
Trying to save Jasper who's wound is infected.
O trying to make moves on Atom and Atom taking his punishment and ignoring her. O and Bellamy confrontation. Bellamy being a jackass big brother. Meanwhile Clarke is debriding Jasper's wound and Bellamy thinks he can't save him. "Down here every life matters."
Bellamy. "Look at him, he's a lost cause." THere's a bit of an oracle. Bellamy meanwhile thinks Clarke doesn't have the guts.
"Power hungry self serving jackass. He doesn't care about anyone but himself." Says Monty. Which is actually completely wrong.
Finn however agrees with him about Jasper being a lost cause and that's ANOTHER clue where that guy discards people like trash. Bellamy is wrong and so is Finn.
Abby and Jake fighting about the Ark dying and wanting to tell everyone. He's TALL. And has big shoulders.
Clarke examingin the grounder poultice (go away finn) Wells has figured out what the poultice is and is telling her how to find it and she keeps rolling her eyes and talking to Finn. More blaming him for getting her dad killed. The three find a hidden car. Neat.
Bellamy hunting, turns around and flings an axe and almost hits Charlotte. Enter big brother bellamy. He gives her a knife. Discussion about killing things. "Who knows maybe you're good at it."
They find the seaweed and Wells worries about the sea monster, Finn talks about rigging something. Clarke wades in and gets it. Oh, flock of birds fleeing. The grounder warning horn. O. Kno. RUN RUN.
boo back to the ARk. If it isn't Raven I don't care. Oh its another flashback we find Wells and Clarke playing chess. She tells him about her dad. Yeah yeah. I know. She's wrong. She will regret how she treated him. And we never had enough time for it to matter. I do not like that story choice. Despite it being important later. They shouldn't have killed off Wells.
They run from the poison gas and find the car. Bellamy takes Charlotte into a cave, Atom falls and is caught in it. The kids are running into the dropship. Good and scary.
Wells, Clarke and Finn find booze. Wells "alcohol is toxic." Lawful good. Goodie goodie. which makes Clarke rebel.
Charlotte in the cave with the bad dreams. Bellamy and his fateful inspiring speech telling her to slay her demons when she's awake and they won't be there in her sleep. Fear is weakness. Weakness is death. When you feel afraid hold tight to that knife and say 'screw you, i'm not a afraid.' Sigh. Obviously she doesn't have a hold of her sanity. Or maybe she does. They're setting up a new society down there where people threaten and fight and torture. This is what Bellamy did until he realizes the consequences.
I don't actually want to listen to this drunk Clarke blaming Wells forever for something he didn't do. Ugh. LEave him alone Clarke. Finn tells her to take it easy. Clarke. "I have no idea how to do that." Wells DOES drink the booze. See he would have lightened up.
Jasper still howling in pain. Murphy says he's gonna kill him. Monty and O lock him out. Murphy was awful. Terrible. Great bad guy. Oh hey, anyone watch Flash? I saw Richard was playing a bad guy on that. He's really good at a creepy, morally gray, oddly attractive bad guy.
Clarke wants to be a part of the plot to reveal the dying Ark. She calls her dad dumb. lol. "you picked a fine time to start being a rebellious teenager." And Jake is arrested.
Acid fog gone. Finn doesn't think Wells is innocent of what she accuses him of. This is actually one of the times I don't hate Finn. He's right. But he's always trying to get into her life, behind her walls.
Charlotte finds Atom. Atom tells Bellamy to kill him. She gives the knife to Bellamy. He sends her back to camp. Clarke arrives over his shoulder. She gets right to work. No. He's not gonna make it. She tells Atom she's gonna help him. Takes the knife from Bellamy and starts humming. Bellamy just watches her while she cuts his carotid.(so does charlotte.) They're back in camp.
Bellamy "Get Clarke wahtever she needs." The turning point in their relationship from Enemies to partners.
O blames Bellamy for Atom's death which is stupid. IT's not his fault. And he takes the blame. That is one dynamic I don't like. The O&B blame bellamy carousel. I get why she does it and it's true to character, but it takes so long to grow out of it.
Floating Jake. I know it's the basis for Clarke's character but I guess I'm less interested in what happened before the show and more interested to the things ON the show. A bit of tear jerking. Wells is there. Jaha is there. Abby is there. Wells does not look happy. HE shot his dad a horrified look. DId they need to have Jake flip out of the ship like a fricking flap jack? lol.
Giving Jasper seaweed soup. Clarke apologizes to O about Atom's death. O says "I guess we're going to have to get used to people dying." And that's some more oracle work isn't it?
Clarke finally figures out that it was her mom not Wells who told on Jake. Honestly. That's exhausting too. I'm glad that she grew out of the holding grudges phase. Not yet, but soon. This is the story that teaches her to let go.
Octavia and MOnty drinking the booze. Jasper wakes up.
Finn, "Welcome back buddy." ARen't you the one who kept trying to leave him to die?
Wells watching the sunset. along comes a spider. Or charlotte. And they have a nice little moment, and talk about nightmares. "I think I found a way to make them stop. Sorry." stabs him. chops off his fingers. Sharp knife. She tells the story of how she sees Wells father ever night killing her parents and she wakes up and sees his. The only way to make it better is to slay her demons. She had to. And hums while he dies.
SUPER HARSH. Pretty damn effective though. If I recall, that was when I had to reevaluate my opinion of this show as being pretty teens in the post apocalypse. Or no. I think it was the one two punch of Atom being put out of his misery and then Wells being murdered by a misguided traumatized teen.
Of course as soon as they reconcile, Wells dies.
The acting is all better now. The storylines are more original. The characters have more depth. The kids are less stupid because theres more risk out there.
I do not love Clarke's grudge holding in this episode. She's acting like a child. Granted, she IS a child. So it's not a fatal character flaw, and she definitely grows up.
These kids are all traumatized.
I want to see them heal and get strong and find love and be happy.

tw: neglect ish
Since she was a child, Barbara was told she was told she would do something greater and good. She believed it, she wasn't sure what exactly but she knew she would do great.
As the middle child, she's a bit of drama queen but in a subtle manner. She knew she is the least favorite child for both parents, which makes her feel excluded. Sometimes, she is only reminded when she needs to be the right arm for her old sis (to her parents).
Despite it all, she is very close to her sisters, she doesn't let anything ruin her relationship with them. She loves fashion and is obsessed with the color pink.
When she needs to be responsible, she is very responsible. She likes people to underestimate her because she always shows them she is capable of winning, it keeps her motivated in some way.
She is very enigmatic, not always is possible to know what she is truly thinking. Barbara can be quite unpredictable as well. But she is super kind and sweet, a little naïve at times.
In regards to romantically… She has issues with commitments. She troubles acknowledged her own sentiments, but when she does, Barbara is capable to give herself entirely (only when she likes the person).
She is cleaning craze since she was a child, but she knows how to disguise it.

There’s nothing ironic about show choir (2/30)
Notes: I mean, this entire fic is a huge AU.
AO3

Prompt: AU

SIMON
The world doesn’t end when the Mage dies. That’s what Penny says to me, but I don’t really get it. I’ve only been part of this world for a year, so I don’t remember what it was like before the Mage had power. I go back to school. Mitali Bunce is the new Headmistress now. I have less magic than before, but that is fine. Mitali also arranged a magickal counsellor for me to talk about what happened and I like it. I visit Ebb, the goatherd, a lot. I hang out with Penny and Agatha.
This summer, I’m going to the Bunces. The Bunces and the Wellbeloves make sure I will not go back to care and it’s the best news I’ve heard ever since the Mage told me I am special. (Or was.) (My insane amount of magic made me special, but it looks like I gave most of it away.)
Dr. Wellbelove says that it’s a good thing. I will finally be able to have a normal childhood, or whatever that means.
The only person who doesn’t know what to do with me is my roommate Baz. He’s been a pain in the ass during the entirety of the school year, because his family stands against the Mage, but now the Mage is gone.
I think that’s the end of our rivalry. I’m glad.
--
When I return for my second year, I realise I am wrong. Mitali has reinstated a lot of the old curriculum and after school activities, including choir.
Baz and I both sign up.
In fact, a lot of people sign up.
Theatre, choir, art class, chess club, fencing club, gardening… it turns out that all the students of Watford cannot get enough of it.
“It’s because the Mage has suppressed any form of fun for so long, Snow,” Baz had explained to me, with a sneer in his voice.
Penny says the same, although with a kinder tone.
They are right, since the older students are the first in line with the sign-ups. Choir gets so many sign-ups that Mitali decides to split it in two. Penny, Agatha and I join Rutaceae. Baz joins Vitis.
It doesn’t take long before a rivalry starts between them.
“Look, students, there is nothing I can do about it,” Miss Possibelf explained. She leads Rutaceae. (Madam Bellamy leads Vitis.) “The rules of show choir state that we must see Rutaceae and Vitis as two different organisations in competition.”
“But we’re all Watford students!” Gareth points out.
Miss Possibelf nods.
“I know, Gareth, but we’re two choirs, and only one of us can win Nationals.”
--
Notes: I have no clue how choir actually works. I am taking it all from Glee, so yeah. And in Glee, McKinley High had two choirs at one points: the New Directions and the superior Troubletones. Those also had to compete separately.
The names Rutaceae and Vitis are... the Latin names of the citrus and grape families. Look, I was listening to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet music while writing this and I was this close to just straight up calling the glee clubs Naranja and Uva.

The quaint town of Willow Creek was shaken to its core when the news of Jonathan Hargrave’s untimely demise spread like wildfire. The wealthy businessman was found dead in his study, a room locked from the inside, with no signs of forced entry or struggle. The only items out of place were an overturned glass of brandy and a scattered set of chess pieces on the floor.
Detective Lila Archer was called to unravel the mystery. She noted that the room had two exits: the main door, which was locked from the inside, and a window that overlooked the garden, closed shut. The coroner’s report stated the cause of death as poisoning, but the brandy tested negative for toxins.
The suspects were few but with strong motives:
Evelyn Hargrave, the victim’s wife, stood to inherit a fortune.
Oliver Hargrave, the resentful son, had been recently cut off from the family wealth.
Clara Bellamy, Jonathan’s business partner, was in a heated legal dispute with him.
Henry Wilcox, the gardener, had been seen arguing with Jonathan the day before.
Detective Archer’s interviews revealed little. Evelyn was at a charity event at the time of death, with dozens of witnesses. Oliver was in a different city, confirmed by traffic cameras. Clara had a rock-solid alibi, being in court during the incident. Henry had been working in the garden, seen by the neighbors.
The detective pondered over the chessboard, an unusual custom set where each piece contained a hollow space, typically used to hold a small keepsake. She noticed one piece, the black knight, was heavier than the others. Inside, she found a tiny vial with remnants of a potent toxin.
The mystery deepened when Lila learned that Jonathan was a grandmaster at chess and always followed a strict routine when playing alone. He would set the board, play a few moves, and then enjoy his brandy. The detective realized the killer must have known this habit well.
Lila revisited the study, focusing on the chessboard. She reconstructed the game from the scattered pieces and noticed an irregularity. The game set up on the board was a famous one, known for its unexpected checkmate, a game Jonathan had once famously lost.
The detective had her eureka moment. The murderer had set the board to that specific game, knowing Jonathan would touch the black knight piece to relive the match. The toxin was not in the brandy but on the chess piece itself, a rare contact poison absorbed through the skin.
But who could have known Jonathan’s habits and the specific game so intimately? The answer was clear. It was someone who shared his passion for chess, someone who had been present at the match he lost, someone who knew the study’s layout and had access to the custom chess set.
The gardener, Henry Wilcox, was a former chess prodigy whose career Jonathan had ruined years ago in a scandal. Henry had worked for the Hargraves for years, biding his time, learning Jonathan’s routines, and waiting for the perfect moment to exact his revenge.
Detective Archer confronted Henry with the evidence, and he confessed, revealing that his argument with Jonathan the day before was a ruse to confirm the businessman’s schedule. The gardener was arrested, and the town of Willow Creek could finally rest, knowing the mystery was solved.

NAME: Bellamy Henri Acheron FC: Paul Craddock AGE: 18 MAGIC STATUS: Medium (out) OCCUPATION: Clerk, Chapter Three CURRENT LOCATION: Swynlake, England RELATIONSHIP STATUS: N/A SIBLINGS: Opal Grace Acheron, Aidan Alexander Acheron, and Salome Madeline Acheron-Bonfamille
BIOGRAPHY:
Eight months ago, Bellamy stepped into a portal to head back in time to save his family. Well, actually, he followed his brother into a portal to head back in time to save his family. He's always been more of a follower, always on Aidan's heel. Of course, he wanted his family back together. He just wasn't as sure as his brother it would work, but he was sure in his brother.
So, they went back and they met their mum and dad from fifteen years before. They fucked it all up, then they put it all back together. He learned that his mum liked to hum under her breath whenever she thought people weren't listening, something he'd never heard her do. And he learned the sound of his father's laugh, something he'd never heard him do.
It was brilliant. Even Opal came around eventually, after being a brat, like usual. She's still kind of a brat, but at least now she isn't trying to tear her family further apart.
In fact, everything is different now.
The Acheron children stepped back through the portal on the day of their parents' wedding, on the Solstice, and found themselves back in their own time. Except: it was and wasn't. Their dad isn't in the underworld. Their papa isn't dead. Their maman cooks dinner for them and plays chess in the living room some nights.
It is better than they ever expected and they're going to enjoy every moment of it...

Arkhelios University
Tumblr media
Things were definitely changing in Arkhelios. Zane had never really left the mortal plane after he had been summoned, and the new maid at the Hydes house had blood red eyes. This wasn’t Salem Bellamy’s Arkhelios anymore and Wanda was proud of her own part in this change. After all that Salem and Abraham and Giovanni had built up over the years, the small cracks in Arkhelios’ foundation had finally deepened into open fissures, prompting change. The real Arkhelios was revealing itself after its founders deaths, and it was a place that didn’t choose to limit itself to the narrow view of old men.
It was a long way from being as diverse or accepting as Strangetown or Pleasantview, but Wanda knew they’d get there someday. She didn’t hide her powers anymore or carefully look over her shoulder for judgemental eyes. People came to her for help in their own magical studies, and Abe practically treated her like a transport service when he needed help following his beloved demon hybrid around. She had made her home a better place than when she’d been handed its leadership, and while she was extremely proud of her accomplishments, she was also eager to hand control over to someone new. New heirs were taking control of the major families, and Wanda was eager to make some heirs of her own. Now that she was convinced that Arkhelios wasn’t about to implode from jealous schemes, Wanda could look forward to getting back to her own life. Honestly, she wasn’t sure how the monarchs she had met in her time as leader carried on with all of the politics and twisted schemes for their entire lives. She was moving on as soon as she could find people who wanted to run to replace her.
Tumblr media
When her brother called her over to his house to meet someone important, Wanda assumed that this meeting would be professional. If she was really lucky, Melvin would be introducing her to a potential successor, since she had confided in him about her professional burnout.
“Wanda,” Melvin began, looking strangely nervous for such a simple introduction. “This is-”
“Fitz Cowden, I know,” Wanda interrupted.
For a detective, he’s not very bright. I asked for a successor, not a washed up politician who couldn’t even get into office with sympathy votes. Plus, he’s way too old to run Arkhelios now. We need fresh eyes for the future.
“I’m sorry, Mr.Cowden,” Wanda began politely. “I think my brother may have misunderstood me when I asked for candidates to replace me. While I value your input on how the transfer of power should be accomplished and other topics relevant to an election, your years of experience may be better suited outside of seeking a leadership role.”
“I was about to say, ‘this is Fitz Cowden, your father’ before you rudely interrupted me,” Melvin said firmly. “I understand what you’re looking for politically, but I thought that maybe since you’re trying to progress your personal life, you might be interested in knowing your roots.”
Wanda stared at her brother, shocked not only by his words, but the casual tone he’d said them with.
So when he finds out who his father was, it’s cause for moping and sensitivity for his feelings. But suddenly, he goes digging around my family tree without my permission, and I’m just supposed to gratefully thank him? Who just brings their sister’s supposed father over without warning her? How did he even verify my paternity? And Fitz Cowden is my father? How am I supposed to feel about that? Oriana and Osbert’s hated adoptive dad?
Oriana loved to go on long tirades after a few glasses of wine about how much she hated her father and how her dear Benvolio was supposed to have saved her from the man before he died. Wanda hadn’t really interacted with Osbert much, but from what she could remember, he also didn’t speak highly of his father. Ever the politician, Wanda put on a smile, and tried to smooth over the awkwardness festering in the room.
Tumblr media
“Mr. Cowden, do you play chess?” she asked politely, gesturing for him to sit down at the table with her. She shot a nasty look at her brother that didn’t bode well for him. There were going to be words between them after Mr. Cowden had gone.
Tumblr media
“I don’t think you played that situation right,” Sheldon stated, pulling Melvin into their bedroom to regroup and strategize their next moves. “Why did you think that just presenting this news to her without warning would be what she needed?”
“Because she’s considering trying to start a family,” Melvin replied. “She was already worried about being related to Hunter because she didn’t know who her father was, and since that DNA test came back with them not being related, she’s been stuck wondering just who she is related to. You can see it plain as day on her face. She was suffering, and I couldn’t stand to watch it anymore. At least she can meet her father while he’s still alive. I’ll never get that chance. I did her a favour. The name was right in front of us anyway. If she ever needed her long form birth certificate, Mom put down Fitz’s name right on it. Probably to blackmail him if he ever did become an elected official, knowing Mom.”
“I’m not sure that Wanda will agree with you that what you did was a favour,” Sheldon said, crossing his arms sternly. “You should have told her first and let her decide what she was comfortable with.”
“If I waited for Wanda to be comfortable, this meeting would never happen,” Melvin argued. “She’s been promising for ages to look into her past, but she never acts on it. She says she wants kids, but wants to know her roots first. We’re not getting any younger, Sheldon. She’s finally ready to step down from running Arkhelios. This is the time for her to confront her past to move on to the future. She needed a nudge.”
“I really don’t think that this counts as a nudge,” Sheldon replied. “More like a shove. It may be in your best interest to swing by the mall later to pick up an apology card and a decent bottle of wine. You two never fight, and I’d hate for that to change after today.”
Tumblr media
Wanda looked across the board at the man who was apparently her father. There wasn’t a strong resemblance between them, and Wanda would never have guessed out of everyone in Arkhelios, that he would be related to her. She’d always sort of assumed that her father had visited from somewhere and left without knowing her mother was pregnant. He clearly couldn’t be a resident of Arkhelios, since everyone knew the private business of everyone else here. He would have known that Peggy was pregnant and tried to be in Wanda’s life. Hunter had always been depressed, thinking that his birth parents abandoned him, and had felt lost not knowing his origins. Wanda was content to leave her own father in her concocted fantasy, somewhere far away, completely ignorant of her existence.
There was nothing fantastical about Fitz Cowden. He had always enjoyed politics like Wanda, but unlike his daughter, he was a failure at it. He was a sad, lonely failure no one had ever wanted to vote for. Now, he was also her father.
Just make polite conversation until the game is over and then leave. Invent some kind of emergency if you have to. This isn’t happening. Your father lives in a far away land and doesn’t know about you. Mom was just too much for him to want to stay. Melvin and Zane’s fathers lived in Arkhelios. Yours still lives far away from here.
Tumblr media
Abe hadn’t meant to fall asleep waiting for Roman to come home, but after a long night shift, and some cranky kids, he was exhausted.
Tumblr media
It was becoming far too common to find a note from Roman giving weak reasons for his frequent absences. Most of the reasons he gave all too often turned out to be lies. One day he was supposedly visiting Ulyssa in Twikkii Island, when Abe had spoken with her alone in Arkhelios that same day. Roman’s favourite excuse though was something so vague, Abe couldn’t possibly check into it.
“Something’s come up with Adrian’s estate.” “I have to stay to get an evaluation done on the estate for insurance reasons.” “A pipe burst in the house and I need to wait for the repairman.” “I have to sort things out for a tour of the estate for a historical tour group.”
Lies stacked on top of other lies until Abe’s entire relationship was resting on a swaying tower built on deception. What was Roman up to really? Was he having an affair?
Abe almost wished he would walk in on Roman cheating on him with someone else at this point. It would at least give him an answer for why Roman disappeared so often. An affair just wasn’t Roman’s style though. He’d had every chance to start a new relationship after they’d broken up, but had spent so much of the time they’d been apart telling Abe how much he still loved him. Abe could barely walk two feet apart from Roman in a store without both Roman and Theo fighting to hold his hands. Both Roman and their son were possessive clingers. It was very unlikely that Roman was putting any of that energy into being with someone else.
What else could he be doing though? It was obviously something he wanted to hide, so probably something Abe would be unhappy about him doing. Abe had merely dipped his toes in the strange supernatural world that existed, and Lucy was still pretty ignorant of much of it as well. Whatever Roman was up to was probably something they could never guess at. Abe just had to keep trusting him and hoping for the best.
Tumblr media
When Roman finally came home with a black eye and a bad mood, Abe had been terrified. Of course Roman hadn’t offered him an explanation aside from a generic “I took a wrong turn teleporting.” Abe just wanted to grab Roman by the shoulders and shake him until the truth fell out. The heir of the Bellamys was obviously not going to fold like that. Whatever secret Roman was guarding was locked in a vault even Abe couldn’t reach.
Tumblr media
Abe didn’t know how to keep going like this. They were engaged, but some days it felt like Roman was a million miles away from him. His nightmares, which still occurred every few nights, were more violent, and intense than they’d been before, and Roman woke from them looking haunted. Before, he’d looked confused and frustrated when he awoke. Now, he seemed angrier, and desperate. Abe had a strong feeling that Roman was lying about not remembering what he’d dreamed now too.
It would be one thing if Abe could still feel the intent behind Roman’s actions, or the emotions that had to be running through his head, but with nothing but silence from Roman, it was getting harder to trust that his intentions were good. Roman had made great strides in not becoming the sociopath his grandfather wanted him to be, but his decision making abilities had never really been strong.
How did Abe even start to confront all of Roman’s lies? His own parents hadn’t really shown him how to navigate a successful marriage and Roman’s family was a trash fire that could be seen from space when it came to relationships. Salem and Malika had successfully run their marriage with blind trust, or so it seemed from what Abe had seen. Salem had ambitions that Malika supported, and Malika took actions that she didn’t explain to her husband, and he supported her unconditionally. He’d trusted and loved his wife so much that he had died shortly after her after trying in vain to run his life without her.
Was that the kind of marriage Roman was trying to emulate? Would Abe’s life really be letting Roman read cards to determine whatever monstrous action needed to be taken, and just blindly trusting that Roman knew best? Would he really be happy letting Roman lie to him, and trust that Roman knew what he was doing? Abe wasn’t sure he could live like that. Roman was often cocky, but he was no Malika. The Roman he knew broke down at the pet store trying to choose between four brands of dog food.
Abe didn’t want to start a fight, but if they were really going to get married, he needed to figure out some things first.

octavia’s felt the stir inside of her. the disturbance in her power since her mother had been taken away but it’s bellamy’s instance that she’s no where near the village center that causes the rage. how can he ask that of her? how can he distance himself from this like he has? aurora had been convicted of heresy and to octavia, it just doesn’t make sense. all her life, their mother has done nothing but try to improve upon where they were born. her mother, quite the extravagant chess player was good at crafting deals and moving the pieces in her favor. it’s the only reason her brother has risen in court. the only reason he’s apart of court. denouncing the religion of the king? it doesn’t sound like a smart move, not one her mother would make and it causes unsettling feelings in octavia’s bones.
truthfully, he’s right. her unstable emotions wouldn’t handle well in the public when the knights executed their mother, along with half a dozen others. she’d want to help. want to push her way through the crowd and stop the madness and if she couldn’t? her magic would explode seeing her mother’s death. being there in her mother’s last moments means being next.
so she waits in the clearing, body vibrating with unchecked magic, watching as the world around her grows darker and darker with her devastation. it’s not long before she hears the rustle behind her. sees the fox morph into his human form without slowing his pace towards her.  “ don’t. ”  her voice comes out a breathless growl,  “ don’t come closer. ”  her body already exhausted but unable to stop the expression of magic much more powerful than anything else she’s ever felt.  i can help— let me help.
it’s as if octavia’s life were tethered to aurora’s because as darkened hues meet murphy pleading for his help, octavia felt the deepest pain of all. an excruciating pain that sent the girl to her knees and her magic to explode outwards.

You sit on the flimsy mattress beside your twin, your hand held tight in her own, both of your expressions contemplative as you try to figure out what the hell is going on. Across from you, Octavia sits on her own bed, looking at you both, a soft laugh slipping from her mouth. You and Clarke lift your gazes to her in tandem, and Clarke looks at Octavia with mild annoyance. “Something funny? Because I don't see anything humorous about this.”
“I’m laughing because I’m realizing just how much I missed the Twinadoes. It’s been so long since I’ve seen you both together.”
Clarke’s expression softens, her curiosity causing her to ask, “How long were you on Penance?”
“We call it Skyring. 10 years, good ones.”
You smile, remembering some of your better memories from Skyring. Cooking with Gabriel, chess with Orlando, braiding flowers into Echo and Hope’s hair. You whisper, “They were.”
Clarke turns to look at you in confusion, unaware of how long you’ve been apart. “You were there?”
“Not with Octavia, Diyoza, and Hope. We came later, the four of us: me, Gabriel, Echo, and Hope.”
“How long were you there?”
“Five years.”
Her jaw drops in shock, “It’s been five years for you?”
You nod and you see tears in her eyes. She drops your hand to pull you in a hug, and you're grateful for it, grateful to be back with your twin, even if it is in a jail cell. “Oh my god, la lune. I’m so sorry, we had no idea or we would have come sooner.”
You shake your head, pulling away to smile at her. “It’s not your fault, Clarke. It was only a few days for you, there’s no way you could have known.”
She looks at you, and you can tell she wants to know more, but she hesitates, not wanting to push you. You read her mind and look between her and Octavia. “It was hard at first. Really hard. The first few months...all I could think about was saving Bellamy and Octavia, and getting back to you and Madi. But over time, Gabriel, Echo, Hope, and Orlando wore me down. I started to warm up to them, and then one day I woke up and I realized that I hadn’t worried about the time at all the day before. I felt guilty about that at first, but once I stopped religiously counting down the days, time went faster after that. It wasn’t so bad in the end. We had peace, and we became a family, sharing meals and stories. And even though I missed both of you, and Bellamy, and Madi and the rest of our family, I was happy.”
Octavia and Clarke can sense that you have more to say, and Clarke reaches out to grab your hand again, prepared to console you. “And then we got here, to Bardo, and it was worse than I could have imagined. Because in the five years it took for us to play house on Skyring, Bellamy was killed here. I let myself relax too much, and he ended up dead. All those years of training...for nothing.”
Clarke squeezes your hand, and you glance at her before looking away, tears welling up in your eyes as you remember the loss you felt three months ago. “I lost it when I found out, which is why I can’t blame Echo for nearly crystallizing us all. She knew how hard all of this has been on us, and she tried to do what she thought was best to make things right again. She went about it the wrong way, but her heart was in the right place. Anyways, I do believe there are good people on this planet, but I know that Cadogan is not one of them. I want nothing more than to get the hell off Bardo. Nothing good has happened to me here, besides reuniting with all of you, and I just want to escape.”
“Me too.”
“Too bad my brother betrayed us to a man he just met.” Octavia sighs, turning her gaze to Clarke. “You know, I was just starting to understand you, but I guess it doesn't matter anymore. We’ll probably be dead soon anyways.”
Clarke’s brows pull together as she looks at Octavia, “Really? How so?”
“You have Madi, I have Hope. I'd do anything to keep her safe.” She scoffs a little, tears welling up in her eyes, and you and Clarke both look at her with concern. “What’s wrong?”
“A couple of days ago, she was just our little girl. Now she's messed up like the rest of us.”
You and Clarke both stand from your bed and move over to Octavia’s, splitting apart to sit on either side of her. Octavia takes one of your hands and one of Clarke’s, and the three of you sit together in silence, sorrow hanging over all of you as you think of the tragedies you’ve all experienced. And as the three of you sit together, the door to your cell slides open and Bellamy steps inside, looking different from the last time you saw him. His hair is cut and his beard is gone, his face clean shaven for the first time in a long time. It reminds you of the Bellamy you first met on the Ark, in more ways than one. Because this Bellamy is just as much of a stranger to you as that Bellamy was.
Bellamy walks inside the room, his white robes flowing, flanked by two guards on either side of him. You look at him in shock and cock your head to the side, masking your hurt with your anger. “You need back up to talk to us now?”
He turns to glance at the guards behind him, waving them out of the room. “It’s okay.”
As they step out of the room and the door slides shut behind them, the three most important women in Bellamy Blake’s life stand, a wall of strength and anger as they look at him. You are the first to break the silence, looking at your fiance in disbelief. “It’s about time. Bellamy, what the hell was that?”
Before he can answer, Clarke adds, “I have been racking my brain, trying to figure out how you telling Cadogan the truth about the Flame helps us. You know what I've come up with? It doesn't.”
Bellamy’s voice is soft, sounding conflicted as he shakes his head slightly. “I couldn't lie to him.”
Octavia snaps, “Really? Why not?”
He glances over at her, then Clarke, then you, relaying his reasoning on his change in behavior. “I had an experience, something that changed me to my core, something that explains why we're still here and where we're going. It came to me in a vision. Mom was there.”
Octavia gives him a weird look, unconvinced, and he continues, “The Shepherd led me to her, and there was a light, and it was beautiful and warm and peaceful, and I chose it. And when I opened my eyes, the storm had passed, just like that.”
You, Clarke, and Octavia share a bewildered look, and you look at your fiance, your anger softening a little as you take in his hurt expression. “Bellamy, I love you, you know that, but this sounds...crazy.”
He turns to you, his eyes widening slightly as he takes in your confused expression. “Natshana, I know how this sounds, but it’s real.”
You flinch a little when he uses the nickname, your brain struggling to see the man you love in the disciple in white that stands before you. He sees you flinch, and a look of hurt passes over his face before he turns to look at all of you again. “A war is coming, the Last War we will ever fight. Win it, and we become the light.”
Clarke snaps, “Is that what the cult leader told you?”
She turns and starts to pace, as Octavia steps forwards and adds, “Did he tell you what happens if we lose?”
“We won't.”
Octavia shakes her head, telling him anyways. “We turn into crystal, wiped out like Medusa, turning people into stone. It's the end of everything.”
“Not everything, just us.”
“Just us?” You look at him in confusion. “Bellamy, everything we have done, we have done to survive. To help our people survive. And now you’re willing to risk everything on Cadogan’s insistence that we’ll win the Last War?”
He gives you a conflicted look, giving you a flash of hope that maybe he isn't gone forever. But then he pushes it away and looks over all of you, his voice growing louder and more insistent as he tries to convince all of you that him following Cadogan is not as weird as you think it is. “If I told you the AI that destroyed the Earth was storing our minds in the City of Light, would that be any more believable? What about a group of astronauts turning themselves into gods by transferring their minds into the bodies of their own followers in order to live forever?”
Exasperated, Clarke sighs, stopping her pacing to turn to Bellamy and throw her hands up in frustration. “Okay, yes! We've seen our share of crazy, but that doesn't change the fact that fighting some war to become the light is as ridiculous as the clothes you're wearing.”
He pulls a face, hurt by her comment on his clothes, but he pushes past it. “There's one way to find out: tell me where the Flame is.”
Clarke’s denial is firm and resolute. “No.”
“Clarke, yesterday, you were offering it up in exchange for safe passage.”
“Yesterday, I was bluffing! I made a deal to save my twin and my friends, knowing damn well I had no intention of following through with it. Today, I'm standing in front of my best friend, who I thought was dead, and I don't even recognize him.”
His expression is hurt, tears springing into his eyes as he steps closer to all of you, his gaze locked on Clarke. “I am the same person who helped bring you back from the dead, who refused to give up on you. There is so much more at stake here than you know.”
He turns to you, making his final, teary eyed plea to you. “I know you don't believe in transcendence, but I'm telling you it's real, and I am asking you to believe in me.”
You glance at Clarke and Octavia, their expressions letting you know that believing in Bellamy means believing in Cadogan. Something the three of you are determined not to do. Because even though you love Bellamy with all that you are, and you want to believe him, you know that this isn’t right. He betrayed all of you in the blink of an eye for a man that he thought was crazy back on Earth, and you’re worried just how far his devotion to Cadogan will go. You can tell something happened to Bellamy, something changed him, and you’re willing to listen to him to find out what that is, but you’re not willing to support Cadogan.
Which is why you turn back to Bellamy, trying to ignore the tears in his eyes, your voice sounding soft, but regretful. “Even if you're right, even if everything you're saying is true, we will not help that man start his war.”
He looks from you to Clarke to Octavia, seeing if they agree with you. When they make no move towards him, or say nothing to dispute your claim, he shakes his head and looks down at his feet. You can see him visibly recompose himself before he looks back up at Clarke. “Tell me where the Flame is.”
Octavia locks eyes with her brother, asking, “Or what?”
“I’m trying to save you! All of you, but if you don't tell me where it is, they will execute all of you. Please let me help.”
Your eyes widen at the word execute. It's one thing for the three of you to speculate that you're facing death, it’s another to have Bellamy confirm that they're ready to kill all of you if you won’t give them what they want. And despite the shaky intake of breath that you hear Clarke take, her answer to Bellamy’s request is unwavering. “Go float yourself.”
You turn and step back towards Clarke, the sadness in the room shifting to anger again. Octavia gives Bellamy a disappointed look before she turns towards you and Clarke, all of you turning your backs on Bellamy, standing together and comforting each other, waiting for him to leave. But instead of leaving, he sighs and calls out, “Guards.”
The three of you hesitantly turn towards the door, watching as four guards step into the room. Bellamy looks them all over before motioning towards Clarke. “Take this one to M-Cap.”
Clarke gives him an incredulous look, “What?!”
The guards close in on Clarke, and the two of you exchange a panicked look as they grab her arm and start to pull her towards the door. You jump towards her, trying to grab the hand that is reaching out for you. You’re all too familiar with the pain of M-Cap, and it’s not a pain that you want Clarke to experience. “La lune!”
“Clarke!”
As your hand closes around hers, you are pulled backwards by your other arm, one of the other guards in the room stopping you. You turn and punch him, getting him off of you, trying again to run after Clarke. As she is pulled out of the door, you hear Octavia protesting, but she is stopped in place by her brother. You run after your twin, barely making it past Bellamy before you are grabbed from behind and yanked backwards, onto the ground. One of the guards pins your arms to the floor while the other grabs you by the front of your shirt and punches you, pain exploding behind your left eye and cheekbone. They hit you again, blood blooming across your tongue as you accidentally bite down from the force. A third punch smashes your nose, and you're sure you can feel blood trickling down to your mouth, though it’s hard to think much past the pain.
You can hear Octavia yelling at her brother and Bellamy yelling commands at the guards, but your brain doesn't process them, too focused on the pain in your face. You feel your wrists being released, the weight of someone’s body leaving you, your body now free to roll onto your hands and knees and spit black blood onto the stone floor. You feel a hand on your shoulder and you flinch before Octavia’s soft voice whispers, “La lune, are you okay?”
“I’m fine.” You spit again, pulling yourself to your feet, your anger flaring white hot as you turn towards Bellamy, your earlier sympathy now gone. “What the hell was that?”
He looks over your face, at the blood dripping from your nose, the bruise blooming along your skin, and you can see a flash of worry cross his features as he urges, “You shouldn’t fight them, the Shepherd authorized them to-”
You cut him off, your voice loud, “I don’t care! Bellamy, what are you doing? Letting guards beat me up, sending Clarke to be tortured? This isn’t you!”
He shakes his head, another hurt look on his face. Five minutes ago, you wanted to comfort him through his conflict, hear about what he went through. But right now, your mind thinking of your twin in danger, a danger he sent her to, you want to hit him. You want to punch those puppy dog eyes until they swell shut. But you keep your cool and control your anger as he shakes his head. “It’s not torture.”
You let out a short laugh, pushing your hair out of the way to show him the scar on the right side of your face that runs beneath your level two symbols and into your hairline. “It is if you fight it, and you know damn well she will.”
“All she has to do is tell us where the Flame is, and we’ll let her go. We’ll let you go.”
“No way in hell are we going to give Cadogan what he wants. The Bellamy I love would be right beside me, opposed to doing anything for the crazed cult leader that’s so determined to start a war.”
Bellamy shakes his head, “He’s not a cult leader, and he doesn’t want to start a war. He wants us to transcend, to have real peace.”
“Do you hear yourself? War has never brought us peace, Bellamy. Only death and pain. But let’s say that Cadogan is right, and we do win this war and transcend. Torturing your friends, your family, people you love, watching us be locked up and potentially executed is not the way to do it. Doing the right thing the wrong way isn’t doing the right thing. You know that.”
“I’m trying to save all of you.”
You shake your head at him, in disbelief that the two of you are on opposite sides. After everything with Pike, you were sure that you’d never be on opposite sides again, especially not for something this big, yet here you are. You don't have the energy to argue with him right now, because he clearly believes in Cadogan, or wants to believe in Cadogan, and you’re sure that nothing you say will change his mind. So you turn away from him, shaking your head in disappointment, angrily swiping blood from your nose before muttering, “Get out.”
“La lune, please-”
You spin around and cut him off, your voice loud. “Don’t call me that! My family calls me la lune, and as long as you’re wearing those robes and worshipping the Shepherd, you are not my family, you are my enemy.”
You wait for his face to fall before you snap, “Now get out!”
This time, he obliges, turning away from you quickly, knocking on the door to alert the guards on the other side. As soon as he’s out of your cell and the door is closed, you collapse onto your flimsy mattress, your anger finally giving way to your tears. Octavia crosses the room and sits down beside you, the two of you wrapping your arms around each other and crying as you try to come to terms with who Bellamy is now.
-
A few hours after Clarke is dragged from the cell, your door opens again. You and Octavia stand, expecting it to be her, but instead it is a group of disciples, all of them pointing weapons at you as they demand, “Back against the wall, hands out in front of you!”
You and Octavia do as they say, stepping backwards and pressing your backs to the wall as you hold out your hands. A guard walks over to you and slips a pair of cuffs onto your wrists, a thick metal bar holding your arms apart, before they grab your arm and drag you to the door. You and Octavia are dragged through the halls of Bardo and led to the Stone Room, much to your surprise. As the doors open, you see that your friends are already here, lined up against the wall. Everyone looks at you in surprise, now more injured than the last time they saw you, but you shake off their worry, letting them know you’re okay.
Octavia is led towards the end of the line, pushed between Hope and Niylah, while you are stopped at the opposite end, pushed between Gabriel and Jordan. Another disciple walks over and places a helmet at your feet before taking one down to Octavia, all of you now standing in a row with disciple helmets nearby, waiting for what’s next. Two disciples stand near the stone, and two more stand near the door, everyone waiting in silence, but Gabriel can't resist the urge to whisper, “Are you okay?”
“Looks worse than it is.” You smirk at him, trying to ease his tension, and he smiles back, right before one of the disciples snaps, “No talking!”
Less than a minute later, the doors to the room slide open. Two disciples stop just outside the door as two more walk inside, taking up their posts. Behind them is Cadogan, followed by Bellamy and the man that is likely replacing Anders, whose name you don't know. Behind them is Clarke, unrestrained, her eyes searching the line of prisoners until her eyes lock with you. Her expression drops at the sight of all of you restrained, but it drops further when she sees the bruise already darkening around your eye. “Why are they still restrained? We had a deal.”
You look at her, your eyes glancing at Cadogan, who has taken up a spot in front of the stone. “Clarke, what is this? What deal?”
“He releases all of us, and I take him to the Flame.”
Bill turns around, his gaze falling to Clarke. “You'll forgive me if I have trust issues where you're concerned.”
He turns to look at the man replacing Anders. “Remove the restraints one at a time. Any violence will be met with lethal force.”
Bellamy looks at you, his expression a warning as he addresses your group. “No one is getting violent. It's a good thing, you're being released.”
The man moves down to Miller first, slipping off his restraints before motioning down to the helmet on the floor. “Helmet on to protect your memory.”
Miller leans down and grabs the helmet, turning to look at Clarke as the Anomaly powers up beside him. “You good with this?”
She nods, and he pulls the helmet on and allows himself to be led into the Anomaly. All down the line the others are unrestrained and led into the green glow behind Miller: Hope, then Octavia, Niylah. The man skips over Raven, who gives him a strange look, and moves on to Echo, freeing the former spy with a guarded look. “Sending the fighters first, is that it?”
He shrugs a little, “Can't be too careful.”
After Echo is Jordan, and you put your hands out after him, waiting your turn, but the man in front of you steps back, leaving you, Gabriel, and Raven behind, still restrained. Cadogan moves over to the stone and types in a code, the Anomaly closing behind Jordan, leaving the rest of you behind. You glance over at Clarke in confusion, wondering if this was part of the plan, and she gives you a look of worry, letting you know that it’s not. She steps towards Cadogan, a glare on her face. “What are you doing?”
“Ensuring you keep your part of the deal.”
Raven shifts closer to you, glaring at Cadogan as she moves, her lip curling into a sneer. “He didn't send them to Sanctum.”
“Correct.” He turns to look at her, smiling at her, and you want nothing more than to launch yourself at him and wipe the smile from his face. “And thank you for demonstrating why I didn't send you with them.”
Gabriel clicks his tongue, his gaze shifting to his feet before moving back up to Cadogan. “We know how the stone works.”
“Also correct.” You shake your head, confused, because you don't have knowledge of the stone in the way that Gabriel and Raven do. If anything, Echo and Hope know more about the stone than you, meaning they should be here too. Clarke seems to think the same thing, because she looks over at you before her eyes lock with Cadogan’s. “My twin doesn't know about the stone, so why is she here?”
The realization hits you as you look at her, the worry on her face to have you still among the dangers of Bardo. You shift your gaze to the cult leader and deadpan, “I’m an insurance policy. If you don't get him the Flame, I'm assuming that I'm the first to go.”
Bill turns his condescending smile to you, confirming your suspicions. “Another correct answer.”
You glare at him, your mind on your friends and not your safety. “Where are they?”
“They're safe, as I promised they would be. I said nothing about releasing them on Sanctum.”
Clarke turns on Bellamy, her anger radiating off of her in waves. “You knew about this?”
Bellamy looks at her, lost, clearly unaware of Bill’s plans, which the Shepherd confirms. “He doesn't know where they are, only I do. I told you, Clarke, I don't trust you. I do, however, trust the love you have for your friends and your twin, and once I have the Key and the Last War begins, they'll all be freed. At which point, each of you will be welcome to fight alongside us, and if you choose not to, well, we'll save you anyway. That is what we mean when we say, ‘for all mankind’.”
He turns, eyes moving over to the new Anders. “Doucette, please release the others, so we can retrieve the Key.”
Doucette walks over to Raven and pulls off her restraints as Cadogan once again opens the Anomaly, this time to Sanctum. Raven leans down to grab her helmet, and Doucette walks over to you next. You stick out your arms, waiting for your freedom, your brain already contemplating all the ways you’re going to get Clarke and the others out of this, when Bill’s voice calls out, “Not her.”
You look around the disciple to stare at the cult leader in shock. “What?”
“Your restraints will remain on, Miss Griffin. You killed 10 disciples in our oxygen farm, attacked First Disciple Anders before his death, and have assaulted countless guards since arriving on Bardo, two of them earlier today. I trust you even less than I trust Clarke, which is why you will remain restrained and at my side.”
From across the room, Bellamy speaks for the first time since your friends were sent away, his expression concerned as he looks at his leader. “Sir, I don't think that’s really necessary.”
“And I think it is. I’m sure you're aware of what she’s capable of more than any of us.” Bellamy’s expression drops a little, his mind clearly playing through an assortment of memories in which you fight or kill anyone that gets in your way. Cadogan notes his expression, stating with a nod, “That is why I’m keeping her restrained.”
You roll your eyes and drop your hands, accepting that, for now, your restraints will stay on. You're hesitant to push Cadogan in this moment, when everything is so tense and you’re surrounded by a room full of guards. You’re less concerned about your own safety and more concerned about the others, not wanting to do anything that’ll put Clarke or your friends in danger. You glance over at your twin, and you can tell that she wants to argue, but you shake your head at her, telling her you’re fine, you’ll be okay, and that none of this is as bad as it seems. You see her sigh a little before accepting the message, leaning down to pick up her own helmet.
You grab your helmet as Gabriel is freed, and Cadogan turns and begins to give orders. “Disciples, I want most of you ahead of us. Weapons hot, remain in ghost mode, and take down anyone that is armed. Bellamy and Doucette will go ahead of me and the troublesome twin, and then Gabriel, Raven, and Clarke will bring up the rear, along with the remaining disciples. Is that clear?”
Everyone mumbles their assent and agreement, and you are pushed across the room, over to Cadogan’s side. You glare as you look at him, Bellamy moving past the two of you to stand in front of you, and you shift your glare to the back of his head. Because he barely fought for you. He seems more than content to leave you chained up like an animal. You hope he can feel your anger as Cadogan directs everyone to pull their helmets on, which you do clumsily, thanks to your restraints, and you hope Bellamy can feel your anger when you all step into the Anomaly and come out the other side on Sanctum.
Except, instead of appearing in Gabriel’s tunnel under his camp, you’re in the palace, surrounded by armed guards. Russell is sitting on a throne made of skulls, wearing Grounder clothes, and you look around in confusion as you reach up to tug your helmet off. Clarke does the same thing, speaking the thought on all of your minds as you look around the room in confusion. “What the hell happened here?”
Murphy, who you didn't notice until this moment, is sitting across from Russell, his hands restrained, a chessboard in front of him. He smiles a little as he takes in the arrival of your group, but it drops at Clarke’s question. He glances briefly at Russell before deadpanning, “Oh, gee. Where to begin.”
You look around the room again, at the chaos that has apparently ensued since your departure, and you glance over at Clarke, wondering if it was like this when she left. But given the expression on her face and the confused look that she turns towards you, it wasn't. Which means your people managed to ruin not just Bardo, but Sanctum too. You can only hope that things here aren't that bad, though as you look towards Russell again, you're not sure that’s the case.
But nothing can be as bad as your time on Bardo, right?

What’s so funny to me is that Clarke was counting on only having to deal with Cadogan (and Bellamy) when they returned to Sanctum but then they actually get there and she’s met with a tied up Murphy playing chess with Russell except he looks hardcore now??

The 100 has. just become a show I don’t recognize. This show has always been about the relationships. But now they’re pulling a game of thrones season 8 and skipping the people to make sure all the chess pieces get in the right place.
Things that are missing: How are Clarke and Octavia okay and friendly/loving with each other when the last real conversation they had they were on opposite sides of a war that destroyed earth ...again? Where is Miller worrying about his partner back on Sanctum and also working as Bellamy’s right hand man trying to still blindly believe that Bellamy has a plan even if it doesn’t seem like it? Where is Clarke’s M-cap experience where it shows that as awful as the decisions she has made are, they have never been about her. They’ve always been about others. Her leadership has been the definition of unselfish love that cardogan could never understand because he wants to be seen as the savior. Clarke bears it so they don’t have to. She lets herself be the villains of others stories as long as they’re alive long enough to tell those stories.

The envelope is baby-pink, the finish on the material like satin. There is the unmistakable scent of roses and a much more subtle smell of chemical wafting from it. Inside is Bellamy's type bingo card reprinted on fine card stock, the shade of the paper complete with a pinkish hue. Various boxes and small responses are written in clean fountain ink, clearly this person kept a stationary kit at their desk and has been practicing using that pen. There is a small photo of a young woman staring at the camera with dark eyes, and a short letter attached, written in very pristine handwriting: "This game is infectious, I see a lot of local Kindred are participating in 'type bingo.' An acquaintance of mine shared your card with me and I really like what you value. If it's not too forward, I've attached mine as well. I would not mind meeting you sometime if you felt the same." Signed below in a slightly larger hand, Noa Vincenza Rosario Giovanni-Hidalgo.
bellamy reads over the letter for the fifth time, bringing the scented envelope to his nose yet again. I would not mind meeting you sometime if you felt the same, she'd written.
when chess strong-armed him into filling out this bingo card thing he hadn't really thought anything but mild amusement would come of it; yet here he is, looking at a near-perfect sheet and a photo of probably the most drop-dead gorgeous woman he's ever seen, and all of it dripping with pink and the smell of roses. if his heart still beat it would be leaping from his chest right now.
trying to play it cool, as if she might somehow sense his enthusiasm through bingo card alone, he scans over her unmarked sheet as well, and: holy shit. nearly a full sweep there too. he can practically hear the nuclear-grade eyeroll chess will give him for even entertaining the idea of meeting up with a giovanni, but hey, the cards speak for themselves--there might be real potential for something here.
Ms. Giovanni-Hidalgo,
It was a delight to receive your letter. If the cards are any indication, it sounds like maybe I've been waiting to meet you for a long while. I'd be grateful for a chance to steal an evening of your time, if you're so inclined.
Bellamy Hollis, he/they
P.S. Love the perfume. What color do you like your roses?
Enclosed is Noa's own bingo card, filled.

The 100 2023 rewatch 1.5
Twilight's Last Gleaming Liveblog
Oh my. I need to get ready. This is the episode that made me fall in love with this show. This show is tragedy after tragedy.
A delinquent can't catch a break.
Ok here we go.
Bleh. Post coital Flarke.
She's sweet and tender. He'a selfish ass. Oh no don't tell him you have feelings for him. "I wanted it to be you."
I should probably tell you that last night for me, wasn't really about you. Just wanted to have my first earth sex and you were around, passably cute. snickersnicker. Aren't you a fucking comedian.
Oh Jaha is telling abby that the oxygen is getting worse. Pulmonary toxicity. Prison section is on half air, and Jaha is giving her extra O2. And he's telling her that they're going to 'excise' 320 people.
And here's my baby Raven hitting atmosphere. "don't let me blow up." ooh. It looks like it's close.
More cute Flarke. And Clarke got a new shirt in the bunker. "We should share." And he's like oh we need it to keep a safe place. But he's looking at her like he's in loooove. "I wanted it to be you too," he whispers. While his girlfriend is burning up in the sky. Look Clarke see's her. Finn tells her to wish on a shooting star. And she's like what are you nuts? Nope not a shooting star.
Bellamy is in bed with two girls. I forgot about that. One of them REALLY looks like Clarke. B is stressed. He's like oh no I'm gonna get in trouble for murdering Jaha.
She is like oh maybe it's food packets. Finn is trying to delay her. That guy. Bellamy is also trying to delay people. That guy. Y'all are both shady. O is trying to push him because she doesn't know.
Uh oh. Little red headed Reese and her papa Tor Lemkin. She's gone blind in one eye. Ugh. He asks if they're going to fix it. Abby says I hope so. Abby is desperate for that radio contact from Raven. It's the only wya they can save these people. They let her out of jail to work medical because there are too many sick people.
Raven is knocked out in the pod. Clarke and Finn are back with the delinquents. Oh look Fox tattling on Bellamy. Oh look, Bellamy's snotty girlfriend. Hook up. Clarke 'should have known he'd go for that radio." Now she thinks she has to predict everything everyoone is going to do. O followed Bellamy. Calls him a selfish dick. and he tells her that he shot Jaha, and when they come down, he's dead. "someone came to me with a deal. Do this. Kill him. And they'd get me on the dropship."
The O and Bellamy conflict begins. "I didn't ask for any of this."
Kane is trying to make the culling look like an accident. Section 17. BTW that was Bellamy's section. Planning murder. Jaha approves. But Jaha has decided to be in section seventeen. He says Kane has a strength that is not weakened by sentiment. That is really mean.
Bellamy finds Raven, takes out a knife and.....
Rips the radio out. Closes door. Leaves Raven passed out. Throws radio in the river. Even as a bad guy he's not very bad. And he's getting less bad as each episode passes.
Raven. Clarke sees her. "Oh my god." "Hi. I made it?" You see that look they give each other? Yes. Princess mechanic all the way. Dump the floppy haired wonder. Y'all work well together.
Poor Clarkie when she watched Raven run up to Finn and kiss him. That is just not fair. What a jerk. Honestly. Poor Clarke she looks like her heart is broken. Man. And honestly Raven, please stop looking at him like that. HE doesn't deserve it. Although she probably ha a concussion.
Finn apologizes. Clarke doesn't wan to talk about it. He introduces them, and Raven tells her that Abby was the one to send her down. She tells her about the culling. The radio is gone. Clarke knows Bellamy took the radio.
Jaha and his chess set. Abby is scolding him for joining s 17 and saying he's copping out. Calls him a coward. She finds Jake's recording from when he wanted to expose the failing air.
O by herself in the woods, because B sent her back to camp, oh is this Lincoln coming up?
She trips down a hill.
Clarke confronts Bellamy. Hey princess you taking a walk in the woods? lol. She tells him about the culling. Finn pushes him. Raven is like oh yeah you're the one who shot Jaha. Clarke figures out that's why he took off the wristbands. Where's my radio? Raven says.
I shoulda killed you when I had the chance. Ok yeah sure big shot.
He takes her by the throat and pushes her against the tree. She whips out a knife.
She tells him he's not dead. "You're a lousy shot." Which is 100% not true. He's a great shot. So he did it on purpose. Lousy bad guy. And he looks devastated. Says it's too late. Because he dumped the radio.
Jake Griffin's announcement is playing EVERYWHERE on the ark. The air is out. Abby reports about the culling. Too late guards. Kane tough guy. She's going to be the love of your life.
Finn trying to explain he didn't think he'd see Raven again. She's like. "But you wouldn't take off your wristband. You had hope. but it's ok I get it. I was around, passably cute."
Bellamy is all gloomy now. Acting tough guy when he's all sad and heartbroken. Raven of course can figure out how to contact them wihtout the radio because she's a genius.
Kane things there are going to be riots. He blames Abby. "Tha'ts what you've done." This is like the opposite of the Bellamy/Clarke situation with murphy.
They send in Tor Lemkin to talk to Abby about the oxygen. And he hands in his dog tag to volunteer. Jaha is like "For what?"
I'm already crying.
Whimpering. Damn him. Next guy. Give my wife a little extra air. A lady without a word.
"jake was right," jaha said. "it would bring out the best in us." When I think that those bastards made their sacrifice worth absolutely fucking nothing in season 7. Shh. I'm not talking about the bad place. Just season 1.
Raven is engineering. Clarke is upset and worrying. Will the ark see their rockets?. "But your mom will be watching. I've never seen anyone love someone like she loves you."
Kane is eating crow about the volunteers. Jaha still plans on volunteering. He's feeling guilt for executing Jake. Kane says "one decision does not define a man." Ironic because this culling decision right here is the one that defines Kane and changes everything for him.
Tor Lemkin is "volunteering for an extra shift" and saying goodbye to Reese who has no clue. Abby still hoping to hear from Raven.
Kane and Abby watching the volunteers while the kids are trying to set up the rockets on earth.
Everyone sits on the floor and the music is playing. It cuts back and forth between the culling volunteers willingly going to their death to save the rest of the ark, the ark leaders watching, giving the order. Oh Jaha takes the button away from Sinclair and presses it himself so Sinclair won't have to have that on his consience.
And AFTER he presses his button, the rockets on earth take off. Abby closes her eyes in sorrow. The people in th17 start falling asleep. Tor Lemkin is looking at Reeses barette. Overvoice is Jaha offering a blessing for the dead.
He drops the fucking barette.
Abby and the doctors go into 17. They're all sleeping on the floor together. Not sleeping. Dead. Ugh. All the bodies. She walks through them with the grim music and closes the eyes of one woman and they begin carrying people out on stretchers. She picks up Tor's daughters barette and tears come to her eyes.
AND THERE ARE THE ROCKETS. Bellamy wondering if they can see the rockets from up there? Clarke asking about if you could wish on a shooting star. He says he wouldn't know what to wish for. Asks her what about you and she looks over at the unworthy Finn.
Octavia wakes up in the dark, sees a SCARY MAN. But we know it's just Lincoln. He was scary looking though. Monster looking.
Abby is sitting in Clarke's cell and staring up at the sky light. Jaha comes, offers her some booze. "We mke the best choices we can, and then we put our faith in a forgiving god," Jaha says. Do you think we deserve to be forgiven? Abby asks. And then SHE SEES THE ROCKETS.
JAHA instantly realizes that he killed people for no reason while Abby is seeing hope.
Okay, so watching Murphy's Law and Twilight's Last Gleaming one after the other, I actually have to say that I think Murphy's Law was better. Story wise. TLG is a tear jerker, don't get me wrong, but so much of it is set up, and building up to everything that comes next in the season with coming down to earth while Murphy's law is a turning point in the story from post apocalyptic Lord of the Flies as these characters abruptly grow up REAL fast and it is pretty much self contained. The main conflicts of that ep are resolved IN that ep, although it does build the new Bellarke team. TLG is slower and more about the politics and character development in a slow way, Flarke romance, Bellamy's fear of them coming down, the B and O conflict, Jaha's grief, Raven and Finn reunion. And probably most dominant, the Abby and Kane power play.
THIS is actually a replication of the same dynamic between Bellamy and Clarke in Murphy's Law, although more drawn out and political. I mean Bellarke are also in a political fight, but it's 100 kids vs the whole ARk, and it just started where Kabby have been squabbling for what seems like years. And Kane IS the soldier that Bellamy is kind of just pretending to be. ALthough he's ALL ABOUT the rules, while Bellamy has discarded them after his mom was floated and his sister was imprisoned. But Abby and Kane don't find their partnership yet in this episode, even though Bellarke and Kabby are parallel here.
It has now set up the Raven Finn Clarke love triangle. Raven's awesomeness. Finn's suckiness. The Bellarke power pairing. The missing Octavia and soon to be beloved Lincoln. Abby learns that she was right the whole time. They learn that the Ark CAN go to earth. The devastation of the Culling. The story is changing. Right here. The delinquents make contact with the Ark. We also find out why Bellamy has been such a jerk, and he finds out that he didn't kill Jaha. From now on, Bellamy also has a shift in character.

While I was excited to see ADC again (but then realized she came back in brownface and a bindi, like wtf? I thought you were anti-racist but you’re participating in cultural appropriation sooooo.....), I’m just now realizing how stupid it was that Lexa was Clarke’s judge. Like, Lexa wasn’t Clarke’s greatest mentor because she didn’t really teach Clarke anything good (she did teach her that “love is weakness” but that’s universally agreed to be the dumbest shit); it was more Clarke teaching Lexa. Clarke’s greatest mentor was definitely her father. Lexa wasn’t Clarke’s greatest regret; that’s Bellamy (like, c’mon, she killed him literally a day after he was on a different side than her and HE WAS RIGHT; as if Clarke “my biggest sin was leaving Bellamy in Polis to die in the fighting pits” Griffin’s biggest regret wouldn’t be that). Lexa wasn’t even Clarke’s greatest love; Madi was. That’s just fact. So whichever way you cut it, Lexa would not be Clarke’s judge.
It would have been so much more powerful if Wells had been her judge. Think about it. Best friend since childhood, so one of the biggest loves of her life (I hated how the show basically forgot about him and never had Clarke mention him. HE WAS HER BEST FRIEND FOR HER WHOLE LIFE. SHE WOULD CONSTANTLY BE BRINGING HIM UP). She was mad at him for over a year and didn’t forgive him until right before his death, so that’s probably a BIG regret she has. And Wells taught her chess, a game of strategy, which she would then go on to use those tactics to win and stop wars. Oh, he also taught her forgiveness, which is a huge part of Clarke’s character now. So, while Wells wasn’t her greatest love or regret or mentor, he still fit into ALL the categories pretty well.
I mean, you can try and argue with me, but you know I’m right.

The 100 7x06 thoughts
Bardo
I LOVED how Diyoza’s timeline was edited together and the background music to go along with it. She is such a badass, and thank goodness those helmets are knife-proof or else she would have taken her own daughter out.
Hope, Diyoza, and Octavia are a wonderful family unit. I will always stan the Blake siblings, but I’m so glad Octavia has found this second family.
These writers seem to really want us to believe that Bellamy is dead, don’t they? I’m not sure if they realize that 99.9% of the fandom didn’t believe it for one second.
Gabriel is so done with Echo and Hope killing people. I think he finally snapped. Still, it seemed very odd that he just let the group get captured like that.
Nakara
I’m with Miller - I hate this planet.
I appreciated the conversation between Raven and Clarke - these two have not had nearly enough screen time together and I miss their friendship.
I’ve seen some comments about why Raven seems so upset about these deaths when she’s made some questionable decisions before. I think the distinction is that before, she was always helping with someone else’s plan. Yes, people died, but Raven wasn’t the one pulling the lever, so to speak. This time, the decision to involve Hatch and his men was hers. The decision to lie to them about their risk of dying was hers. And as she said, she chose to sacrifice them instead of herself.
It seems like the only purpose of sending Clarke and crew to Nakara was for them to find the ambiguous connection between Second Dawn and Bardo. No doubt that will come up again later.
Sanctum
I stan one John Murphy. And if you had told me in season 1 that I would grow to love his character this much, I wouldn’t have believed you.
Why does Shidheida know about chess? I know they played it on the Ark, but I don’t recall the Grounders knowing the game.
Shidheida saying that you have to attack the queen and then the scene cutting to Clarke was no coincidence. They’re setting up for a showdown between him and Clarke.
Madi’s desire to just be a kid was so real and tangible. This is the first time in her life that she’s ever been around kids her own age. Which is so sad to think about. And Jackson, Murphy, and Emori being so protective of her was beautiful to watch.
Why was Madi drawing an anomaly stone?? Does that mean it was in the Valley on Earth and Madi saw it?
INDRA! It makes perfect sense for her to lead Wonkru, and I loved Emori and Murphy’s speech to her to convince her. Not only is she a great leader, she’s a hell of a warrior and has a good heart.
Overall thoughts
It was a good, fast-paced episode with a lot going on. As a Bellarke fan, I’m just as disappointed in their lack of interaction as everyone else, but I have hope that this prolonged separation is setting us up for a hell of a reunion.
But ships aside, I feel like this season is serving up what you would expect of a final season. It’s having characters step into their true selves and leading them down paths of self-discovery and growth. Indra is stepping into the role of the leader she was always meant to be. Murphy is finally embracing the role of a hero and realizing that there are more important things than your own survival. Raven is exploring the darkness that exists inside of her, just like everyone else. Octavia is remembering that she is a good person who has done bad things, but is on her path to Redemption. Echo is having to face how she has always needed a leader to follow and how she became a killer when she killed her friend in childhood.
I think the second half of the season is going to focus on Clarke and Bellamy coming to their own realizations and discoveries. We’ve seen the beginning of Clarke’s - how she always has to be the strong one, but how she’s breaking underneath. I think we’ll finally come full circle on “I bear it so they don’t have to” when she realizes she no longer has to be the one to bear things for everyone.
As for Bellamy, I think he’s going to realize how Clarke is the one for him. (Yes, I say that slightly tongue in cheek, but also with some seriousness). The last we saw of Bellamy, he was desperately saving Clarke’s life and then saving the day with her, again. He’s the heart - he has to listen to his own. I think with Clarke, they’re both going to figure out how they can finally do better.
