Dominion Title Matches, BOSJ29 Cards Revealed; TJPW Yes! Wonderland 2022 - 5/3/2022: Reika Saiki Retires; STARDOM, Dragon Gate, GLEAT Results, Other News
Tumblr media
New Japan Pro Wrestling
The feature matches for Dominion 6.12 In Osaka-jo Hall have been announced, for the show taking place, ironically, on 6/12/2022 in Osaka-jo Hall. You'd think this joke would never get old, however, recall that last year's got bumped by one day, so Dominion 6.6 was actually on 6/7/2021.
The main event will of course be Kazuchika Okada defending the IWGP World Heavyweight title against the returning Jay White, having made his shock return at Wrestling Dontaku 2022 on Sunday. Another shock returnee has a title match as well, as "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson will wrestle his former stablemate and co-founder of the Bullet Club, Tama Tonga, for the latter's newly-won NEVER Openweight title.
Below are the announced Dominion matches. The full cards for Best Of The Super Juniors 29 have also been announced, however that will be an Upcoming Events post coming in the next week or so.
Dominion 6/12 in Osaka-jo Hall - 6/12/2022, Osaka Osaka-jo Hall (NJPWWorld)
Provisional KOPW2022 Championship: Shingo Takagi [Los Ingobernables] (c) v. Taichi [SZKG]
NEVER Openweight Championship: Tama Tonga [GoD] (c) v. Karl Anderson [Bullet Club]
IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship: Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens [Bullet Club] (c) v. Jeff Cobb & Great O-Khan [United Empire]
IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: Kazuchika Okada [CHAOS] (c) v. Jay White [Bullet Club]
More TBA
In other news, Hiroshi Tanahashi will be taking the place of Tatsumi Fujinami at Fujinami’s own 50th Anniversary show from Korakuen Hall on 5/12/2022, due to Fujinami’s COVID-19 diagnosis, and effects from that. This will be Tanahashi’s debut match in Dradition, although the show will be carried on NJPWWorld. So that main event match is now Tanahashi, Shiro Koshinaka & Yuji Nagata v. Mitsuya Nagai, Shingo Takagi & Hiromu Takahashi. Masato Tanaka has also been added to this show, as a fill-in for Shinjiro Otani, who I shouldn’t have to say what happened with him.
Hirooki Goto is booked for the next GLEAT show on 5/18/2022 from Korakuen Hall. He will be facing Hayato Tamura of the BULK Orchestra heel unit. More information on that show below.

Tokyo Joshi
Reika Saiki, the Muscle Idol, has "graduated" (read: retired) from wrestling, with a three-minute exhibition match at TJPW's Korakuen Hall rally today, that also saw two title matches take place. This is on Wrestle Universe.
TJPW Yes! Wonderland 2022 – Spread The Wings Of Your Dreams - 5/3/2022, Tokyo Korakuen Hall (Wrestle Universe)
Princess Tag Team Championship: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki © d. Hikari Noa & Nao Kakuta (Mizuki > Noa, Cutie Special, 13:53) - Magical Sugar Rabbits succeed their 4th defense
Exhibition Match: Reika Saiki TLD Arisu Endo (3:00) - Retirement ceremony for Reika Saiki took place post-match
Yuki Kamifuku & Mahiro Kiryu d. Haruna Neko & Kaya Toribami (Kiryu > Toribami, Boston Crab, 10:09)
Suzume d. Juria Nagano (Ring A Bell, 5:46)
Rika Tatsumi, Miu Watanabe & Yuki Arai d. Yuki Aino, Raku & Pom Harajuku (Arai > Harajuku, Finally, 13:41)
Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh d. Hikaru Shida [AEW] & Moko Miyamoto (Yamashita > Miyamoto, Skull Kick, 15:02)
Princess of Princess Championship: Shoko Nakajima © d. Hyper Misao (Diving Senton, 14:29) - Nakajima succeeds her 2nd defense
Neither title changed hands today, meaning Shoko Nakajima will go on to defend her title at CyberFight Festival on 6/12/2022. Yuka Sakazaki's match was first, so she could get on a plane to make her AEW appearance this week. How this is going to affect the match on Thursday where the tag title winners and the Princess of Princess winner would team with Maki Itoh is beyond me. Maybe someone will be dropped. Speaking of AEW, of course, Shida wrestled here today, on the losing side against Itoh/Miyu Yamashita.
The next show is Thursday. DDT runs on Friday as well.

STARDOM
The Golden Week Fight Tour continued today.

Utami Hayashishita, Saya Kamitani & Hina [Queen's Quest] TLD Rina, Starlight Kid & Momo Watanabe [Oedo Tai] (15:00)
Giulia, Maika, Thekla & Mai Sakurai [Donna del Mondo] d. Tam Nakano, Mina Shirakawa, Unagi Sayaka & Waka Tsukiyama [Cosmic Angels] (Maika > Tsukiyama, Enka Otoshi, 13:18)

There are shows tomorrow and Thursday, the latter with several title matches and a God's Eye v. DdM Elimination match.
Tumblr media
Dragon Gate
The first of two Gate of Passion tour-ending shows from Kyoto KBS Hall took place today, which you can see now on DG Network. An interesting main event, with the participants of both tag title matches taking place on Thursday in a 4-way match.
The Gate of Passion 2022 Night 18 - 5/3/2022, Kyoto KBS Hall (DG Network)
KAI, BxB Hulk & HYO [Z-Brats] d. Susumu Yokosuka, Genki Horiguchi & Jason Lee [Natural Vibes] (KAI > Horiguchi, Meteo Impact, 10:14)
Strong Machine J d. Ho Ho Lun (Machine Suplex, 9:32)
Eita & Yasushi Kanda d. Masaaki Mochizuki & Yosuke Santa Maria (Eita > Yosuke, Imperial Uno, 10:03)
Masaaki Mochizuki d. Konomama Ichikawa (Reverse Figure-4 Leglock, 2:24)
Masahiro Gano d. Konomama Ichikawa (STF, 0:07)
Kota Minoura, Naruki Doi & Kaito Ishida [Gold Class] d. Kegatora, Ben-K & Keisuke Okuda [HIGH-END] (Minoura > Okuda, R-301, 15:19)
Twin Gate & Twin Ryuo Skirmish 4-Way Match: YAMATO & Dragon Kid [HIGH-END] d. Dragon Dia & Yuki Yoshioka [D'Courage] and Kzy & U-T [Natural Vibes] and Shun Skywalker & Diamante [Z-Brats] (Kid > Kzy, Bible, 13:44)
Dragon Kid gets a direct pin on Kzy heading into their Ryukyu Dragon Twin Ryuo tag title match on Thursday. KAI also is victorious before the challenge of Susumu Yokosuka for the Dream Gate. The two Konomama Ichikawa matches were of course impromptu, with Mochizuki ending the feud once and for all, before bringing out Masahiro Gano, a comedy wrestler who impersonates NJPW legend Masahiro Chono, to handle the predicted restart. There are a lot of these wrestlers in Japan; I personally met Chinsuke Nakamura, an imitator of Shinsuke Nakamura, at the DDT show in NYC in 2019.
DG reported yesterday that Big Boss Shimizu suffered a left foot injury in training, and now won't be at Dead Or Alive. Punch Tominaga will take his place in the 6-man match Shimizu was scheduled for.
The end of the tour is tomorrow, also streamed live, before Dead Or Alive on Thursday.

GLEAT
GLEAT returned to action today, although I don’t see this show on their YouTube channel as yet. El Lindaman’s next challenger for the G-REX title was determined on this one.
GLEAT G PROWRESTLING Ver.24 - 5/3/2022, Osaka Umeda Sky Building Stella Hall
G-REX Next Challenger Decision Match: Shigehiro Irie d. Nobuhiro Shimatani [BULK Orchestra] (Beast Bomber, 13:42)
Akane Fujita [Prominence] d. Michiko Miyagi (Miken de Pon, 9:35)
Takanori Ito & Masato Kamino d. TiiiDA & HUB (Ito > TiiiDA, German Suplex Hold, 13:49)
T-Hawk [#STRONGHEARTS] d. Keiichi Sato [60 Seconds] (Night Ride, 14:31)
El Lindaman [#STRONGHEARTS] d. Jun Tonsho [60 Seconds] (German Suplex Hold, 9:26)
Tetsuya Izuchi [60 Seconds] d. Issei Onitsuka [#STRONGHEARTS] (Spin Break, 3:38)
Ryuichi Kawakami, Hayato Tamura, KAZMA SAKAMOTO & Quiet Storm [BULK Orchestra] d. Minoru Tanaka, CIMA [#STRONGHEARTS], Yu Iizuka & Soma Watanabe (Tamura > Watanabe, Jackhammer, 21:53)
So there was a #STRONGHEARTS v. 60 Seconds best two out of three series here; why have #STRONGHEARTS win the first two, when the series is then already won? Seems like odd booking to me. Shigehiro Irie becomes the 2nd challenger to El Lindaman’s G-REX title at the 5/18/2022 Tokyo Korakuen Hall show. The complete card is below:
GLEAT G PROWRESTLING Ver.25 - 5/18/2022, Tokyo Korakuen Hall
Minoru Tanaka, MUSASHI [Michinoku Pro] & Soma Watanabe v. Quiet Storm, Nobuhiro Shimatani & Masato Kamino [BULK Orchestra]
Michiko Miyagi v. DASH Chisako [Sendai Girls]
Takanori Ito v. Yu Iizuka
T-Hawk [#STRONGHEARTS], Jack Cartwheel [FREE] & Issei Onitsuka [#STRONGHEARTS] v. Tetsuya Izuchi, Keiichi Sato & Jun Tonsho [60 Seconds]
Hayato Tamura [BULK Orchestra] v. Hirooki Goto [CHAOS]
CIMA 25th Anniversary Match: CIMA [#STRONGHEARTS] & Shingo Takagi [Los Ingobernables] v. Ryuichi Kawakami & KAZMA SAKAMOTO [BULK Orchestra]
G-REX Championship: El Lindaman [#STRONGHEARTS] (c) v. Shigehiro Irie
Other News
Not a good day to be Tatsuhito Takaiwa, as he lost not one but two titles today, in two different promotions, in two different cities. First, he dropped the IWA World Juniorheavyweight title in FREEDOMS to Kengo in Yokohama, with Kengo becoming the 40th champion. Then he made his way to Tokyo (which is not TOO far from Yokohama it has to be said), where he lost the Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Championship that Takaiwa was the inaugural holder of, to DDT/Pheromones’ Yumehito Imanari, over in Ganbare Pro at Korakuen Hall. Well, at least it’s less weight in baggae, eh?
Another match has been announced for Kenta Kobashi’s Fortune Dream 7, from Korakuen Hall on 6/15/2022. This time, a six-man, with both teams comprising of wrestlers from AJPW, BJW and DDT, as Shuji Ishikawa, Daisuke Sekimoto & Yuji Hino (a beefy side if ever there was one) will take on Daichi Hashimoto, Tetsuya Endo & Yuma Aoyagi.
A lot of indie shows happened.
Tomorrow is an interesting day. AJPW has the Champion Carnival Finals. NOAH starts the Dream On tour. But also, Gatoh Move holds its first card that is not a ChocoPro YouTube show since 3/22/2020. Gatoh Move Returns will be at Tokyo Itabashi Green Hall.
See you Thursday.

Minoru Takada and Hisao Yoshitani in Walk Cheerfully (Yasujiro Ozu, 1930)
Cast: Minoru Takada, Hiroko Kawasaki, Hisao Yoshitani, Satoko Date, Takeshi Sakamoto, Teruo Mori, Nobuko Matsuzono, Utako Suzuki. Screenplay: Tadao Ikeda, based on a story by Hiroshi Shimizu. Cinematography: Hideo Shigehara. Set decoration: Hiroshi Mizutani.
The English titles of Yasujiro Ozu's films are typically oblique, ranging from the atmospheric but uninformative -- Late Spring (1949),  Early Summer (1951) -- to the proverbial or epigrammatic (but only in Japanese) -- The Flavor of Green Tea Over Rice (1952), A Hen in the Wind (1958) -- to the simply mistranslated -- Record of a Tenement Gentleman (1947). The title of Walk Cheerfully would seem to be similarly somewhat aside of the mark for what started as a gangster movie, but at least the phrase appears in an intertitle in the film as the parting advice given by Yasue to Kenji as he's being taken away by the police -- she seems to mean it somewhat in the spirit of "take care." The film itself is a curious blend of gangster film and romance. In fact, the work it reminded me of sometimes was Frank Loesser's musical Guys and Dolls, which has a similar theme of a shady guy being redeemed by a good girl. The analogy leaped to mind when some of Ozu's gangsters did synchronized routines and gag soft-shoe dances in the pool hall where they meet. For these are not hard-core American gangsters or even murderous yakuza; they're small-time pickpockets and thieves. We meet our hero, Kenji (Minoru Takada), while he's still a thug known as "Ken the Knife" for the tattoo on his left forearm. The movie begins with a chase: Kenji's sidekick, Senko (Hisao Yoshitani), being pursued by a mob who think he has stolen a man's wallet. When the mob catches up with Senko, Kenji appears out of the crowd and suggests that they search him for the wallet. Nothing turns up, so Senko goes free, but later we see them meet up and discover that they're in cahoots: Kenji has picked the wallet from Senko as the mob was roughing him up. Eventually, however, both Kenji and Senko try to go straight when Kenji meets and falls in love with Yasue (Hiroko Kawasaki). When they first see her, they think Yasue is a rich woman: She arrives at a jewelry store in a large car and goes in to buy a diamond ring. But it turns out that she's running an errand for her boss (Takeshi Sakamoto), the head of the Ono Trading Co., who puts the moves on her when she brings it to him. Eventually, after Kenji and Yasue meet up again and he learns the truth, that she's just an office worker, he will have an opportunity to beat up Ono for sexually harassing Yasue. This is very minor Ozu, but he handles it well, demonstrating not only his skill at telling a story but also the way American movies influenced him: On the wall at Ono Trading Co. there's a poster for Joan Crawford's Our Dancing Daughters (Harry Beaumont, 1928). Movies, big cars, and pop music -- Senko has written the English lyrics to the 1928 song "The Gay Caballero" on the wall of the room he shares with Kenji and is trying to learn them -- figure large with these very modern Japanese gangsters.

- Before the Blackcraft Wrestling Offer Match, the lights in the building went out, and when they came back on standing at the entrance curtain next to a crucifix was The Preacher. The Preacher had a large scar on his neck from when he had his throat slit four years earlier. The Preacher asked for a volunteer from the crowd to be sacrificed on the cross. A muscular fan with a head like a pumpkin walked toward the entrance, but rather than be willingly crucified, the fan charged toward the ring in the direction of Simon Grimm but was easily subdued by CORE officials Andy Harner and Aaron Arbo. The Preacher began to hammer his own left hand into the crucifix and then called on the wrestlers for a little help hammering a nail into his free hand. The Preacher laughed maniacally and the wound on his neck opened up and began to pour blood. The lights were flicked on and off and CORE officials called for a stop to this segment. The match was declared a no contest and an intermission was held as everyone involved with Blackcraft Wrestling were escorted out of the building.

Charging Storm Agency
The Charging Storm Agency is a hero agency located in Kobe that owned by Heroes Chargeman (Shukara Inoue) and Stormchaser (Sorami Amarai Inoue). It is currently being manned by Chargeman since his wife is on maternity leave.
The members include:
The Stormclouds - Stormchaser's group of sidekicks. They all have weather based Quirks much like their boss does. They consists of Cyclone (Agwè Hayes), Tempest (Tempest Shimizu), and Squall (Stormi Miyashita).
Cable (Michi Okusa) & Cache (Minato Okusa) - Twin sidekicks of Chargeman. Cache is a big fan of her boss's wrestler persona, Wasaburo Inoue.
Gladiators - The name of Chargeman's group of sidekicks. A majority of them have backgrounds in athletics or some form of athletic training under their belt. Notable members include Electromancer (Hafthor Olafsen), Battler (Michael David "MD" Jameson), and Winter Wolf (Yuliy Sokolov).
Ichiko Mizutani - Stormchaser's PR manager. She's the oldest member of the agency in terms of age. She seems to have a small soft spot for her newest employer.
White Song (Séverine De Saint-Pierre) - Chargeman's PR manager and another sidekick of his. While she isn't always present on the battlefield, she is when the situation is dire.
Echo (Thanh Lam) - Another sidekick of Chargeman's. They often joke about being his commentator given that they used to comment at sports events and their Quirk.
Forecast (Zuriñe Haru) - Another one of Stormchaser's sidekicks. While she wasn't intended to be a field agent, there was a mix up and she ended up being too close to the heroine to let go.

i want to make another side blog for lesbian pussy champion/ego legend mood boards. there's some incredible actors/models/singers that embody legendary lesbian ego, but idk enough gossip about them to know if they're pussy champions. also i want to pick women from a bunch of different eras and scenes but i'm having trouble 😭i guess i'm not quite the lesbian historian and gossip expert i thought i was 😩
mood board ideas:
natalie barney (there's a TON of pussy legends in her scene but she's the god of paris)
gladys bentley (night club legend and god of harlem)
ok so who was the god of berlin? all the big names that come up around the weimar scene were bi. who was the uberlesbian at the center of it all? am i missing someone?
that one american mafia boss? i don't remember her name lol i think she was in chicago but idk
beebo brinker, our fictional 60s archetype
stormé (i mean... she wasn't just a community leader. she was popular, right? there's no way she was lonely lmao)
kd lang (icon and legend)
jenny shimizu (same era/scene as KD. auto mechanic/merchant marine/supermodel. her exes include madonna and angie)
diana taurasi (GOAT. well, she's at least the goat in the pro sports scene)
clea duvall (i think she's been settled down the whole time but she gets an honorary mention for being a heartthrob)
aweng chuol (honorary mention because i love her ego but she's uhauling and not really looking for 38 gfs) anyway @ me with more suggestions

Karasuno at Amusement Parks
Tumblr media
I miss going to amusement parks (thanks COVID), and I saw that amazing sketch of the first years on a drop-zone ride (Thank you Furudate), so I got... ideas. :)
Daichi Sawamura: Everyone loves Diachi, but it's a well known fact he's an Amusement Park BAD LUCK CHARM. If you want to get stuck on a ferris wheel, have your favourite ride break down right as you get to the front of the line, or get food poisoning from a questionable hot dog stand... ride with Daichi.
Koushi Sugawara: He's so excited, he's practically vibrating with joy! It makes him feel especially proud when he can convince someone to try a new ride with him, especially if they're a bit scared. His enthusiasm is unbreakable... until he gets soaked on the log ride and just feels miserable [and damp] for the rest of the day. Cotton candy will cheer him up, temporarily.
Asahi Azumane: Everyone THINKS an amusement park would be a nightmare for him, but he's completely fine on rides. As long as he knows the seatbelts work, he's willing to try any ride! He is susceptible to motion sickness, but give him 10 minutes and a lemonade and he'll be fine. His friends keep trying to get him to do that "We can guess how old you are?" games but he has yet to be convinced.
Yuu Nishinoya: Noya makes up for being too short for some of the attractions by being an absolute nusance in the Kids section. He definitely does the bungee jumping and slingshot ride, and is a little bit too competitive at bumper cars. About a half hour before the park closes, he orders funnel cakes, smothered in candied strawberries and enough whipped cream & powdered sugar to give you diabetes on sight. He eats it all (damn his metabolism) and sugar crashes on the ride home.
Ryuunosuke Tananka: He's never dressed properly for the rides he wants to go on, so he will inevitably lose a flip-flop, sunglasses, hat, etc on a ride during the day. He's also obsessed with carnival food-- funnel cakes, those obnoxiously large pixie sticks, churros, cotton candy, caramel apples, deep fried EVERYTHING... he'll eat everything. Whether or not it stays down... that's another story.
Chikara Ennoshita: He's that one person who needs to make sure you can re-enter the park if you leave, because there's no way he's having all that deep fried carnival food for lunch. He likes moderate rides, something that will get his heart racing but won't make him feel like he's dying. The only time he went on a truly "scary ride" was when he heard a particular coaster was being torn down at the end of the season and he wanted to say that he went on it at least once.
Hisashi Kinoshita: He'll hang with his friends during the morning, but after lunch, you'll find him in the water park. Roller coasters are good and all, but really, he just wants to float down the lazy river all afternoon & hit a few water slides. He'll always convince his friends to take pictures wearing stupid hats from the gift shop, or posing with mascots.
Kazuhito Narita: He knows the coaster stats ("The first drop on that one is 94meters" "This one has a top speed of 148 km/h") and likes to share them to pass the time in line. He'll try any of the rides-- but he is NOT a fan of the rickety wooden roller coasters, he just doesn't like being shaken around.  He's also a fan of water rides, like log coasters or those boat rides where you get water guns.
Tobio Kageyama: He's a coaster clinger. It doesn't matter who he's riding with-- he's grabbing them and yelling. He also cannot, under any circumstances, do the swinging rides, like the pirate ship thing. NOPE. He's stubborn, so when he gets motion sick he just tries to walk[stumble] and grin[grimace] through it, when really he just needs to sit down and wait a bit. Somehow always manages to get seperated from the group, and they always find him on the carosel.
Shoyo Hinata: He's in his element! He bought a Fast Pass for lines, and hits the biggest coasters first! Can somehow convince ANYONE to come with him. He laughs through all the rides, goes on the "scary" ones repeatedly, and never gets motion sickness. Tries all the carnival games and loses most of the money he brought trying to get a specific plushie as a prize.
Kei Tsukkishima: Tsukki is absolutely enjoying himself. Really. He's definitely not just going on the rides so he doesn't seem scared. He's totally not holding other people's bags so he has an excuse not to get on that roller coaster, he's just feeling gracious. And no, he's not feeling nauseous, please stop asking.
Tadashi Yamaguchi: He's terrified at the start of the day, staring at the big coasters with trepidation and slightly shaking in line. But, after that first drop, his screams become laughter and he ends up having the time of his life! He will buy the coaster pictures even though they're ridiculously overpriced and probably picks up one of those "I survived the [insert name of the scariest coaster in the park here]" t-shirts.
Shimizu Kiyoko: She loves the roller coasters where your feet hang in the air-- she'll ride all of them, even the ones for small kids. She's always there to be a ride buddy if someone doesn't want to go alone. Kiyoko is a BOSS at carnival games. Everyone claims they're rigged but she just wins the best prizes on the first try. It's amazing.
Hitoka Yachi: Yachi likes amusement parks rides, really, as long as they don't contain DROPS. She's got low iron, ok, it's not her fault she blacks out. But, she can do all the spinning & swinging rides that usually make people sick without feeling a thing. She'll happily hold people's bags while they ride, or do a snack run while others are in line.

DDT Ultimate Tag League 2022 Finals 2/27/2022; DDT Judgement & TJPW Grand Princess ‘22 Full Cards; Dragon Gate, NOAH, AJPW, STARDOM Results; NJPW Strong Episode 80 - 2/26/2022
Tumblr media
DDT / Tokyo Joshi
The winners of the Ultimate Tag League 2022, as well as the new KO-D Tag Team Champions, have now been determined. The Final was held today at Tokyo Korakuen Hall, and you can see it now on Wrestle Universe. Antonio Honda was off this show despite a negative test, as he appears to just be ill, however Toi Kojima tested positive, so he was also off this one. Matches were changed accordingly.
DDT Ultimate Tag League 2022 The Final!! - 2/27/2022, Tokyo Korakuen Hall (Wrestle Universe)

Ultimate Tag League 2022 A Block: Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Ueno [The 37KAMIINA] d. Tetsuya Endo & Jun Akiyama [Burning] (Takeshita > Endo, Plus Ultra, 24:09)

Ultimate Tag League 2022 Final: HARASHIMA & Naomi Yoshimura [DISASTER BOX] d. Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Ueno [The 37KAMIINA] (Yoshimura > Ueno, Shonenba, 20:14) - HARASHIMA/Yoshimura win the Ultimate Tag League 2022 - HARASHIMA/Yoshimura are the 72nd KO-D Tag Team Champions
The perennial ace of DDT and partner Yoshimura win the League, and the titles they vacated at the start of the tournament. They had to beat Pheromones in order to get there. Konosuke Takeshita got a direct win over his KO-D Openweight challenger for Judgement 2022, Tetsuya Endo, on his team’s way to the Final as well. So maybe Endo should like his chances at Ryogoku now, going by the rules of pro wrestling booking. Yoshimura challenged Brookes/Takanashi, who won the Asia Dream tag belts in ChocoPro yesterday, as the only team that beat DISASTER BOX in the league, so Yoshimura wants to set that right.
Final Ultimate Tag League 2022 Standings:
A Block Takeshita/Ueno – 6pts (3W 0D 1L) ***WINNER*** Akiyama/Endo – 6pts (3W 0D 1L) Hino/Naya – 4pts (2W 0D 2L) Higuchi/Okatani – 2pts (1W 0D 3L) Kondo/Hirata – 0pts (0W 0D 4L)

Tokyo Joshi was yesterday from Osaka. Maki Itoh and Miyu Yamashita are now free and clear of COVID-19, so they were back on the card for this show.

In other TJPW news, the card for Grand Princess ’22, their own Sumo Hall supercard, has also been announced. More matches may get added to this. Besides the title matches, and the only singles match between the Bakuretsu Sisters before Nodoka Tenma’s retirement, Hikari Noa will face off against AEW’s Hikaru Shida.

Takuma Fujiwara gets a TLD rub from an established roster guy, on his way to challenging for the Brave Gate belt on 3/5/2022. Apparently there were issues with the stream during the second match, so the on-demand is delayed a bit whilst they repair the video.

NOAH have a rest until Saturday 3/5/2022. I posted that schedule yesterday.

New Japan Pro Wrestling
Last night’s NJPW Strong was, in fact, the last from the New Beginning USA tapings, not last week’s like I erroneously thought. The main event was a title match.

NJPW Strong Openweight Championship: “Filthy” Tom Lawlor [Team Filthy] © d. Taylor Rust (Rear Naked Choke, 19:11) - Lawlor succeeds his 7th defense
Did anyone think this reign was going to go this long? Because I didn’t. It’s a good thing, honestly. I know Ethan HD on Twitter, hi Ethan.
Next week’s episode will start the Rivals series of tapings from last week in LA.
