I took up running for lent but I haven't yet pressed in or pushed through further, my legs live still in this potential place.

The pent-up feeling in the legs of having not-walked, not-run, on being here too long, a frustration in the body's knowledge. Yesterday it rained all day, all day a grey sitting-with thoughts of nameless dread. Then late at night walking in a panic, walking to not-think, to be outside myself, to be away from fear, it was my limbs that took me away.

Bruised legs still, from clumsy unseeing, marked still where rage left quickly.

And a moment of ecstasy in my legs cycling to Kensington. Like breakthrough, like revelation, like grace.

Aloha's literal translation is "The presence of breath" or " the breath of life." Alo=presence and ha = breath. We love Hawaii and the spirit of Aloha! Aloha is the most Hawaiian word. In the Hawaiian language, it can mean hello or goodbye. It also means love and affection. The word aloha is used in a combination with other words, such as aloha kakahiaka, which means good morning; aloha auinala used as a greeting that means good afternoon; and aloha ahiahi is how you can wish good evening in Hawaiian. Its meaning goes beyond any definition you can find about it in the dictionaries. Yogafaith was born out of observation of the many postures of prayer that biblical figures took on. Urgent cries, intercessory and prayers of emergency you can find many flat on their face, or pronated. Surrendered postures are kneeling or seated, also laid out in a supinated posture....ever been there? No other posture will do when all you have left is Jesus and you say, "Lord, I can't do this anymore. Take the wheel!" What about the posture of praise and adoration? Yes!
