Sharing my Ocs Aelon and his husband Timir. #i just saw a yt vid that pissed me off LOL dw abt it #im NOT talking about rescues/zoos/ect. specifically abt private ownership #i dont care if the animal *is* getting all their needs met (which is super rare anyway) there is no ethical way of getting an exotic pet. #there are two main options: it came from the wild or it came from a private ownership breeder #which neither of those are remotely ethical #and then you could rescue it or get it from a zoo #no ethical zoo would give an wild animal over to private ownership #and if you rescue a wild animal you have to make sure youre responsible and turn it in to proper authorties #theres literally NO excuses for going out of your way to keep a wild animal as a pet #i will say its somewhat different with certain hybrid breeds cuz like i still dont think its ethical to breed them but #if youre rescuing them thats a case by case basis
