I’m convinced there’s nothing out there better than the feeling of sitting with your own heartbeat after exercise. Out of breath and lightheaded. The distinct, intoxicatingly fast pulse in your chest and in your throat. The pounding in your ear. It makes everything feel simultaneously so dream-like and so very real, even if just for a few moments.
