#brok x reader
Note
I don't know if you'll respond to this but can I have some brok head canons? He doesn't get enough love and he's my favorite character :'<
A/n: BROK!! I love him, his bond between Krato’s is the best thing ever.
Reader is a Huldra
{A hulder (or huldra) is a seductive forest creature found in Scandinavian folklore. Her name derives from a root meaning "covered" or "secret"In Norwegian folklore, she is known as huldra ("the [archetypal] hulder", though folklore presupposes that there is an entire Hulder race and not just a single individual). She is known as the skogsrå "forest spirit" or Tallemaja "pine tree Mary" in Swedish folklore, and ulda in Sámi folklore. Her name suggests that she is originally the same being as the völva divine figure Huld and the German Holda.}
{Though described as beautiful, the huldra is noted for having a distinctive inhuman feature—an animal's tail (usually a cow's or a fox's)}

First off, THANK YOU for writing for Brok. Sometimes I feel like the only one who likes him lmao. Also this got long whoops
I think he shows love with his smithing. He knows damn well he’s good with a hammer and uses his skills to improve the possessions of the loved ones around him. But I feel like he’d really go all out for someone he has romantic interest in.
So imagine this. You’re bringing him a weapon of yours, asking for a simple fix. He brings it back fixed, sharpened, chock full of enchantments and decorated to the nines. You question him about it, and he just gives you a Brok-ism and waves you off. Meanwhile, Sindri is just laughing in the background, having just watched his no-nonsense brother burn the midnight oil over a weapon with a a 5-minute fix, just because it’s your weapon.
You're welcome! To be honest I think most people don't write for him because the way he speaks is so hard to nail down. At least that's what I struggled with ^-^;
Anyway, enjoy!
Brok x Reader ~ Your Company
You hated this weather. This Gods awful, frigid, skin-freezing weather. Your feet tracked through the snow, your coat tightly wrapped around your frame. It almost reminded you of when you were a kid wrapped up in your blankets hiding from non-existent monsters. The thought gained a small smirk from you, though the bitter cold quickly wiped it away.
You should have been home right about now, warming by the fire, enjoying the hot meal of your recent hunt. That, however, wasn't meant to be.
Your bow had broken. Not the string, but the wood. Snapped right in half when a draugr sent you down a hill. You still managed your kill with the knife you had left, but if you planned on surviving this never-ending winter then you couldn't afford to have a broken weapon. So, in spite of your loathing for the weather, you sought out the only two you knew that could craft you a new one. The fabled Huldra brothers.
Finding them wasn't always easy. Sometimes they showed up the moment you needed them, other times it took a bit of wandering around their makeshift workshops a while. They couldn't be everywhere at once, you knew that. You just hoped one of them would show up soon-
"What's gone and got you all the way up here?" a familiar voice rang. You swiftly turned in their direction, relieved to have found who you had been looking for, Brok.
"I was looking for you" you replied. Your answer seemed to startle him slightly, his eyes flashing to you with a wide smile to match before quickly turning away again.
"And what's would be the reason?" He asked, his question similar to the first as he went back to collecting whatever he came here for. You took the broken pieces of your bow, laying them on the table in front of you.
"I broke my bow" you answered, causing him to pause and, had you believed there to be a reason, you would have said he looked almost disappointed. You quickly brushed it off though, suspecting you might have caught him at a busy moment. However you couldn't leave without the bow fixed, not in this place. So, despite believing you might be annoying him, you didn't take your leave.
He quickly stopped what he was doing, walking over to the broken pieces placed before him, his eyes focused on the items.
"S'ain't worth much now. I'll have ta make ya a new one" he proclaimed as he inspected the broken item. You nodded, reaching into your bag for your coin.
"And how much will that cost me?" You asked as you dug around. He turned his back to you, your broken bow in hand, seemingly returning to his rummaging.
"Won't cost ya nothin'!" He answered, your head shooting up once he spoke it, bewilderment covering your face.
"Are you...are you sure? I have plenty-"
"Course I'm sure! Right positive!" He spoke enthusiastically, though that did little to calm your confusion on the strange answer. You weren't going to argue your way out of a free new bow though, so you held the word 'why?' on your tongue, not letting it escape your lips as it had many times before when seeing the blue-skinned man.
"Alright..." You removed your hand from your bag, instead returning to hugging the warmth of your jacket closer, trying to avoid the nipping cold once more.
"How long should it take?" you asked with understandable concern. Earning his attention once more, his eyes fell over his shoulder and onto you, then turned to search for the sun in the sky before he found his answer.
"Not before s'dark if that's what you's askin'" a strange tone was held in his voice as he stopped his searching, instead quickly moving to put some things in a bag before fully turning back to you.
"Ain't safe goin' round in this shit hole without a weapon. You's best stay with me for the night" he stated flatly before beginning to walk off.
This wasn't an uncommon occurrence when you met with Brok. He did often take much longer to finish his work than Sindri, always saying it was about quality or something to that effect. Either way, it had led to you staying at the dwarves' home more than a couple of times. So you didn't put up a fuss as you followed, knowing it was simply a waste of time to argue with the stubborn man.
You both entered through a portal, finding yourselves in a place familiar to you, yet different than the last time you had seen it. They seemed to have built out even further. You admired the home for a moment as it was certainly a lot more aesthetically pleasing than your temporary homes found in the sides of mountains. You only lingered a moment before following Brok forward and into the house, as beautiful on the inside as it had been on the outside, likely Sindris doing.
"We got company!" Brok suddenly yelled, his voice echoing as he did before he immediately turned to his workshop, busying himself with your bow and likely other weapons. It was then that your eyes fell onto unrecognized faces that sat in the odd corners of the building. They turned to you upon Broks yelling, giving you the same looks of caution that you did to them. A moment of silence occurred before another voice cut through.
"Y/n! I wasn't expecting your company" The man coated in gold armor yelled from atop the stairs in a tone of joy with a hint of tension, likely from failing to inform him of your company ahead of time. He quickly made his way down the stairs as you took off your shoes, stepping further into the building. A smile of recognition falling upon your face as you did.
"Sindri! It's been a long while, hasn't it?" You spoke as you met him at the bottom of the stairs, his own smile now forming.
"And what brings you to our neck of the Yggdrasil?" He questioned, his body leaning away ever so slightly, though that was to be expected.
"My bow broke" you answered for the second time this evening, earning a knowing nod from him.
"I didn't know you had other company" you spoke as your eyes turned to the tall man who stood above a cauldron of food along with a young boy sat talking to a...head?
You brushed off the weird scene, comforting yourself with the thought that you've seen stranger.
"Yeah well it was originally just the boy and his father but uh...others followed" his voice held noticable annoyance for a moment though you didn't take offense to it. You knew how stressed Sindri became with company, having overheard him and Brok arguing the first time the blue dwarf ever brought you here unannounced. The thought made you smile a moment, though you had most certainly not been smiling then.
Quickly knocking yourself out of the memory you turned back to Sindri, only to see a thoughtful look on his face as he stared, focused on something in the distance. You were about to turn to see what caught his attention but was stopped when he spoke again.
"Anyway! I have...work I have to do. So feel free to make yourself comfortable! Though not too comfortable. Oh and uh, you should speak with Brok. He enjoys your company" his words were slightly scattered as he spoke, quickly walking off. Before you could question him any further he disappeared, leaving you with only his words as a guide. Quickly deciding you'd rather do that than introduce yourself to new people, you walked over to where you had seen Brok leave to earlier: his workstation. As you walked you let the words Sindri spoke rest in your head, a certain sentence sticking in your mind.
'He enjoys your company'
You wondered what Sindri had meant by the comment, if anything at all. The man had seemed in a hurry to leave your presence so it was likely just strange wording. Still, you couldn't find yourself parting with the sentence, inscribing more meaning to it than Sindri had likely meant by the comment.
Approaching the workstation you let a smile fall on your lips, seeing just who you thought you would.
"So I heard you enjoy my company?" You spoke, causing the man hard at work to jump slightly, turning over his shoulder. Upon recognizing it was you he gave a short nod before turning back around. It took a moment for him to process what you spoke before waving his hand at the words, knowing exactly where they had come from.
"Sindri told you that, didn't he? The little bastard's terrible at keepin' his mouth shut" he answered, earning your intrigue quickly.
"Is it true?" You asked. He still had yet to turn to you, even as his body tensed at the questioning.
"S'pose so" he hesitated when the words left as he quickly busied his hands. You gave a hum of contentment at his admitting to it.
"Not so bad yourself" you replied, moving further into his forge, soon finding a place to sit and watch. There were a few moments of silence between the two of you, a silence that felt a little strange yet not uncomfortable. Still, you decided to break it.
"Got any new stories I should know of?" You asked, earning a chuckle from him. You couldn't help but smile at the sound, it always felt so nice hearing him laugh.
"Well I do. They ain't no happy stories though" his eyes focused on his work, even as spoke with you. You let out a short laugh at his words, causing his eyes to flick towards you in slight confusion, especially upon seeing the joy that wrote itself on your face.
"Oh please. You could make death seem like a daisy field" you snickered as you spoke. His confusion melted into a soft smile at the compliment, feeling his chest burn at even your smile.
"Really? That weren't nothin' I've heard! Usually s'the opposite!" His voice rose slightly before he joined in laughter with you.
Both of you were fully unaware of the listening ears nearby.
"Mimir," the boy whispered
"Aye, I see it too lad" the head responded, his words more exasperated than intrigued.
"Why's he acting so weird?" Atreus asked, eyeing the strange situation. Mimir chuckled at the boy, knowing full well what was going on. Atreus turned to him about to ask why he was laughing when another voice suddenly rang.
"Sad isn't it?" The boy jumped, quickly turning and, to his relief, seeing Sindri. He settled back into his seat before moving his questioning stare to the dwarf instead.
"What?" Atreus asked, though was seemingly ignored when Mimir spoke up again.
"For such a brash man he really doesn't know what he's doin'" Mimir replied, Atreus only further bewildered by the strange conversation.
"I've tried to help him, you know? But there's only so much I can do. He doesn't make it easy" Sindri continued and was, at this point, outright ignoring the wide eyes and furrowed brows of the young boy.
"Aye, I wouldn't expect him to-"
"What are you guys talking about!" Atreus, utterly confused and at this point frustrated, cut through the two's conversation with desperation at his unsatiated curiosity. The two looked at him for a moment before Mimir held back a laugh and finally, with great amusement, answered the boy.
"Broks boot-over-head for that stranger over there" Mimir explained, a chuckle in his voice.
"Oh," the boy quickly spoke, still not fully understanding what he meant. That was until a few seconds later when it really hit him.
"OH!" He exclaimed, earning a hefty round of laughs from both Sindri and Mimir, leaving the boy more than a little embarrassed. He tried to get the two to shut up, but when their laughs only grew louder he felt himself too red-faced to stay there anymore.
"Screw you guys! I'm going to bed" Atreus yelled, quickly leaving the scene to save what little bit of his pride he had left. The boy was right to leave though, as tiredness began to grip at most of everyone nearby.
This included you; your eyes drooping and exhaustion building. With a few more words exchanged you spoke your goodnights, even if the moon never met this place, before leaving for bed.
-
You arose from your sleep in the makeshift bed you had made yourself, with the help of Sindri. You would have asked Brok to help, but he was already doing a great favor for you, so you didn't want to bother him any more than you had.
Not that it matters now, your eyes blinking back into the waking world, a yawn escaping your lips as you sat up. You stretched before standing and, hoping to be out of the way as quickly as possible, you grabbed all you had come here with, preparing to take your weapon and leave.
Upon leaving your room you found that the place was rather quiet, at least quieter than the night before. It didn't unsettle you as you had been some of their only company before, but it did allow you to immediately notice the sounds coming from the workshop. You rose a brow towards the sound, taking a few careful steps forward, letting the forge come into view, only to see Brok, still hard at work.
"Brok?" You questioned, the man not so much startled this time as he was surprised. He turned to you, his eyes a little bloodshot and with dark circles beneath them. You gave him a concerned stare, but he didn't seem to notice.
"Mornin'" was all he spoke, moving to complete whatever he was working on. You continued to stare, a little worried that he'd been up all night. He was a grown man though, so you weren't about to dig into his business.
"Morning...what are you working on?" You asked, curious as to what took up so much of his time. He didn't say anything for a moment, seeming as if he was doing a few final touches. You were going to ask a different question, assuming he might not have liked the first one, when he turned around.
"Yer bow" he spoke proudly, gently laying the item in front of you. Your eyes widened at the piece, as it was more than you could have ever asked for. Covered in beautiful carvings and runes, laced in gold and silver. You stared at him wide-eyed as if waiting for him to take it away, for him to say it was a joke, for him to make fun of the face you were making. When he didn't, you truly had no clue what to do.
"Brok this is...this is beautiful" you spoke the words, having frankly nothing else you could think to say. His smile grew at your astonishment, seeming pleased with himself. Your hands reached out for it, but retracted a moment later.
"I can't just take this. Surely there's something you want from me-" you tried to reason, confused as to why he would let you even near such a beautiful weapon. He didn't even let you finish your protest before speaking again.
"Ain't a thing" he spoke assuredly. You looked at him with another hesitant stare. Why did he do this then? Why did he make this for no coin? And stay up all night to make it? And make it so perfect?
All of these thoughts wandered through your head as you stared at him, his motives unknown and his smile crumbling your weariness by the second. You finally turned back down, picking up the shining piece of equipment before you. It felt so important in your hold, as if meant to only be held by a god. You moved the item within your hands, observing all of its finer details, along with the weight of it in your grip. After a moment you turned away and pulled the string of the bow back to test its resistance, but was surprised to see it sparkle with a blue magic. You put the bow at rest, turning back to Brok with an amazed look. It was truly the highest quality bow you had ever seen.
"I don't know what to say" you spoke, still blown away by its beauty. His face was lit with glee. He seemed truly proud of himself.
"Weren't nothing. Here. Made ya a couple'a arrows too" he knelt under the table as he spoke before pulling out around fifteen gorgeously shaped arrows, the colors matching your bow.
And it was then that you couldn't hold that word on your tongue. The word you knew only ever got you a blank answer from the man, yet a word you couldn't resist saying anyway.
"Why?" You asked, your gaze turned to look straight at him. His smile fell slightly, his look hard to decipher for a long moment before he turned away again, distracting his hands, his mind.
"Cause I enjoy your company" he answered frankly and you knew you would get no other answer. Truly you were surprised to get even that. Without another word you placed the arrows into your quiver and the bow on your back before beginning to leave. However, where most times you would simply just go, you hesitated. His back was turned to you, yet now you knew that he wouldn't mind you staying.
But you knew you couldn't. You had responsibilities and work to do, as did he. So instead you reached into your bag, pulling out the only valuable thing you could offer in return for his extreme generosity.
The flower of your mountains. Rare and undying. You placed the flower upon the bench your new bow once sat before finally taking your leave.
You hoped you'd find yourself in his company again. Hopefully sometime soon.
-
Brok stood still as a wall, his calloused, toughened, burned and bruised hands holding the delicate, soft flower in his grip. He didn't know what to think, or if there even was anything to think. He simply held the flower at a loss, your astonished look from earlier repeating in his mind, in his soul.
"Did it go well?" A voice called, startling him for the hundredth time in the past day. A strange occurrence for the man usually so hard to sneak up on.
"Would y'all stop with the sneakin' up on me!" He yelled, yet still held the flower gently. Sindri's eyes turned to it, a smile shining clear on his face.
"Was that from them?" He asked, almost teasingly.
"That ain't none’a your damn business ya rotten nosed snitch!" He yelled once more, hiding the flower from his brother's view, embarrassed that he'd seen him with it. A quiet fell between them for a moment, neither daring to say a word. Eventually Sindri realized that whatever had happened, it hadn't been a confession. So he ended the quiet.
"You know you're going to have to tell them one of these days-"
"I know I know. It just-...it weren't today" Brok turned away, finding something that resembled a vase to place the flower in. He would find it water later. He was currently preoccupied with another task, his feet leading him to a semi-reclined chair
"But for right now, I'm going ta fuckin' bed" he said those final words before practically collapsing into the chair, snoring only moments later.
Sindri slightly shook his head, grabbing a coat from nearby to place on him. He would tell you eventually, Sindri was sure of it ...
He only hoped he didn't wait too long.

What if Brok feel sympathy for someone?
It's actually the first time I've written something like this, so it may not be perfect. But I hope you like it. Enjoy reading.
You are most likely one of the allies of Kratos, Atreus and Mimir, who helps the restless teenager find Týr. Brok is a simple dwarf, if these three trust you, then so does he, but know that he will be watching you. Trust, but verify. But he is also glad that the lad has a new friend who helps him.
Over time, he will begin to understand that he suspects you of nothing and calm down. I hope you have a sense of humor, because Brok appreciates it, and if you have it, then he will be twice as happy. Just sit and tell each other jokes, what could be better?
By the way, you should get along with his brother. If you get along with Sindri, then it's bonus points to earn his favor even faster.
If you need something, be it armor or weapons, then Brok will always help. When you return home, he always calls you to him to inquire about your findings and just listen to your voice.
Honestly, he really likes praise, especially from you, for all his work. Every time after your compliments, he feels proud and is ready to grin at his brother that his work is found much better.
Do you know how to cook? Gods, he's starting to love you more and more. Brok is not picky and can eat anything if there is a lot of meat, but if you cook, for example, one of his once favorite dishes that he has already forgotten, he will praise you for the rest of the day. The way to a man's heart is through his stomach.
By the way, if you are shy, then this gives him an excuse to tease you to see your cute blush.
Soon he will begin to understand that he cares about you, but he will not immediately begin to do something. He wants to think things through so that you don't feel like shit around him.
Occasionally his head is in clouds, wondering what special he can give you. The gift, of course, will be made exclusively by his hands. He will often fail, because to do something neat, with patterns, with some intricate meaning is not a very familiar thing for him.
I think Sindri would very quickly suspect that his brother is working hard on something and is racking his brain, because fine work is not for him. Of course, he will offer Brok help, to which he will hear that he will cope on his own, and he should not pry into other people's affairs. But after thinking about it, he still turned to Sindri for help. It seems to me that Sindri would guess to whom and why Brok wants to make a gift, since he is very observant and insightful. But when he himself heard from his brother why he was doing this, then the puzzle would finally come together for him. As he thought, this gift is meant for you! However, this is not surprising for him, since he often sees you chatting and joking with each other. He is sincerely happy for his brother and hopes that you are not indifferent to Brok either.
They will work together on this thing so that it turns out to be very skillful. Brok told his brother exactly what he was up to, Sindri listened attentively, imagining in his head what this thing should look like. After thinking a little together, they set to work. During work, you could hear quiet swearing and arguments from their shop, so as not to attract too much attention, but you would definitely be interested in what the Huldra Brothers are working so hard on. At the sight of you, Sindri almost swallowed his tongue, but he pulled himself together and told you that they were making a 'trinket' for the customer. If you wanted to look, then Brok would have already intervened and said that there was nothing to look at yet, since he and his brother had not yet decided how this 'trinket' would look. You might have thought that Brok was too calm, most likely, this thing is very important, so you wished them good luck and said that you would invite them to dinner later.
Sindri can see from his brother's face that this gift must be special for you. Therefore, he decided to put his whole soul into realizing his brother's idea in real life. He loves his brother, wishes all the best and wants you to get together if possible.
They will work on the gift that is meant for you, day and night, so that it is perfect. Specially for you.
The day has come when this gift, which carries meaning, was made. Sindri was very happy with the result, while Brok was a little stuck in his thoughts. Did he really do that for you? Will you like it? This is very unusual for him, since he is not particularly used to thinking about this and even more so to ask himself questions. His brother urged him to confess his feelings as soon as possible and give this precious gift. Brok was a little slow, saying that he needed to find the right time for this. Sindri understood him, he would have done the same as his brother, because he is much more nervous than him, so he did not put pressure on him and just cheered him up from time to time.
The time has come when he still decided to take his balls and finally give you a gift and confess his sympathy. He's not some kind of coward, right? In the extreme, autosuggestion helps him calm down. You were in the kitchen, cooking dinner, everyone else was in their rooms, thinking about the further plan of their actions, so that the next day they would try to implement it. Sindri was also in his room, so as not to make his brother nervous once again.
You hear footsteps behind you, realize who they belong to, grin to yourself and wait for what will happen next. Brok calls out to you, and then you turn around to look at him. This dwarf does not particularly like to make long emotional speeches, but Sindri before that suggested to him how to more sensually confess his sympathy. Therefore, Brok combined his brother's advice and his usual straightforward manner of communication.
Brok shows from behind the box, which contains a gift for you. He tried to put his whole soul into it to show how not indifferent you have become to him in such a short period of time. How comfortable it was for him to sit at the table with you, drink mead, tell each other various stories and jokes. Of course, he had met such people, but there were so few of them who could meet his vibe. And he was very happy to realize that a person like you appeared in his life quite by accident.
You didn't have to think long to guess that the 'trinket' that the brothers worked diligently on was actually a gift for you. The warmth has spread inside you, it's very nice to realize that someone loves you and makes such a wonderful gift. But are these feelings mutual? It depends only on you.
If yes, then Brok is very happy, proud of himself, wants to celebrate such an event. But you want not to rush things and tell the others a little later, because now is a difficult time, because Ragnarök is coming, and everyone is on their nerves. But you can tell Sindri, who is ready to faint with joy.
If not, then Brok can understand and accept it, but still leave the gift to you, as if it would serve as a reminder that you are an important person in his life. Hopes for further friendship with you, not avoidance. It would be a pity to lose such a friendship.
Thank you for reading.

I apologize for any misinterpretation of Brok’s character. He just needed some sappy fluff and a cuddle. The ending is admittedly rushed, but I've been sitting on this one for far too long.
I'm happy to finally put something out after so long. This concept was a suggestion from grand-admiral-luna. Please let me know what you think and any criticisms you may have. I'm looking to learn and grow! :>
~The Passer-By
----
The forest could not have been more enchanting. Grey, tumbling clouds roamed overhead, sprinkling- heaping snow down onto the tall trees. Your wind chimes released an alluring melody, harmonizing with the wind. The light from your frosted window that shone on the snow gave it a slight twinkle. It all would have been perfect- had you not hoped for a different day.
The day before shone with such a fierce sun that you had anticipated a fair hunt the next day. To your dismay, the snow never seemed to end.
That morning, you had been so excited to be exploring you hadn't thought to look outside. It wasn't until you tried to open your front door and found it frozen shut that you felt the chill in the air.
The day drifted past with little activity. You busied yourself with moderate housework and occasionally stocking the fire. It was around the time the cold air became more frigid that you found yourself low on firewood. This day would have been your day to restock.
Now hunkered by the fireplace in a collection of coverings, you could do little but hope for tomorrow. You’d nearly fallen asleep- and most likely would have had someone not come to visit.
The lulling music spun by the chimes was interrupted by a loud, reverberating thud. Your eyes were forced open by the sudden rush of adrenaline. The racket perused, and you turned to your door, confused, tired, and alert. Someone was knocking. It was more of a persistent banging than a cordial announcement.
Sighing, you gathered your many covers and hoisted yourself up from the cold, wooden floor. Shuffling slowly closer, your unexpected guest called out impatiently.
“Hello? Y/N, you in there?”
You paused for a moment. You recognized it immediately.
“Brok?” You inquired the voice, closing the distance between you and the door. You pressed your ear to it- though unnecessary. If it were Brok, you could hear him through a stone wall.
“Sur-fuckin-prise, now let me in, it's cold out here!”
“What are you doing here?” You tried the door but found it as unmoving as before.
“I thought I'd drop by, see an old friend. That a crime?”
“Well, no-”
“Then why won't you open the damn door!”
He was reasonably agitated. Even from within your home, you could tell how cold it was. Brok was never one for the colder climate, so you couldn't help but wonder what the occasion could have been. Just to “see an old friend” didn’t seem worth the trouble. Still, you couldn't let him freeze out there. “The door is frozen shut- has been since this morning. I can try and find a way to—”
“Don’t bother!” Came Brok’s voice. Clearer this time. Behind you.
You spun around and pressed your back against the door. Brok stood near your dining table, shivering like a leaf. He shook off the snow from his shoulders, soaking your floors. Fussing about the chill, he swept his fuzzy hat off his head and plopped it onto your table. “S’cold as Hel out there. You ain't heard me the first times I knocked?”
“I was sleeping.” You replied, relaxing your grip on your covers. “Or- I was trying to. You breaking my door down woke me up.”
“I didn't wanna be out there any longer than I hads to.” He had been occupying himself by brushing all the snow into your floor when he looked up at you. “What the fuck’r you doin’?” Brok couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of you; swaddled; like a newborn babe.
You shifted but smiled. “S’cold as Hel out there.” You echoed his words, edging away from the door to evade the cold air seeping through the cracks.
Brok gave you a toothy grin, looking around your humble home. He hummed in appreciation, “Ain’t too bad a house. But it ain't much warmer in here than it were out there.”
You looked to the fireplace, expecting a flame to be flickering in the mouth of the stone- but found the wood smoldering with little light. The fire had gone, leaving charred coals and ash in its wake. You sighed, shoulders slacking. “I’ve run out of firewood.”
The blue dwarf grunted in response, nodding. He offered some condolence, “I can go fetch ya some.”
“Don’t trouble yourself, friend.” You made your way back- to the fireplace, “I’ll make due.”
Pleased to feel a bit of warmth still radiating from the smoldering coals, you looked to Brok. “It's still a bit warm. Why not join me? Thaw out a little.” Brok was quick to take you up on your offer, hobbling over to you. “Don’t mind if I do.”
You sat with Brok for a few moments. It was quiet. Though not unpleasant, it was unusual, and you couldn't help but break it. “Why did you visit me?”
“Huh?”
“Surely, you wouldn't have come all this way just to sit in front of some ash with me.”
“Yeah, well, what if I did?”
“You could catch a cold with this kind of weather.”
Brok disregarded your trepidation, “Naahhh! I don't get sick. I’s tough, I can handle a bit a’ snow. Been in Midgard so long I've up and acclimated to it.”
“Even still, don't you have better things to do? You are the best blacksmith in Midgard, are you not?”
“Best blacksmith in all of the nine realms, more like it!” He boasted, grinning at his accomplishments. The smile faltered a bit at your still questioning expression. “Just needed a break, is all.”
“Your brother driving you up a tree?”
Brok smiled warmly this time. “Yeah.”
The silence returned, settling over the both of you in a fuzzy blanket. With the notion, you glanced over to the dwarf, holding back his shivers and clutching his hands.
“You must be cold.” Before he could object or come up with a snarky remark, you unfurled your cacoon and stretched out; wing-like warmth ready to welcome him in. “Come on in!”
“Wh-t—? No, no. I'm good.”
“You know you want to.”
“You’d better hurry; you're turning blue!”
“Shut up!” He cackled, leaning back in resistance. His face flushed and his smile beamed, betraying his protest.
You took the step to bridge the gap between the two of you. Lunging over, you enveloped him in a tight embrace. You wiggled a bit at the cold feel of the metal and leather decoration on his garm but didn't release. His laughter only escalated- limply fumbling about the blankets and leaving chilled streaks along your skin. He didn't make a move to push you away but didn't return the warm hug.
“You little shit!” He wheezed.
“Give in!”
“Ain't no way- I’m not that cold!”
“You would lie to your old friend?”
“I think I's startin’ to understand how Sindri feels.”
“Wha—? Are you saying I'm dirty?”
Brok laughed instead of answering, a hearty sort that had his head flying back. You pushed yourself up and down onto him, tackling him to the ground. Your grip was tighter than ever, your laughs soon joining into the hoarse chuckles of the dwarf you'd imprisoned. “How dare you!”
Soon, your joined spurts of delight would die down- and the silence would reign supreme over your humble cabin. Yet, still, it only served to warm you both as it lingered on into the day. Brok could not deny the warmth you shed, trapped between him and the blankets. He melted into the embrace, returning it in his fashion of wrapping an arm around your figure. Though- he would surely hunt you down if you were to shed a word of it.
He was already unconscious, however. His snores cheer on the howling winds and the gallop of your heart. You'd decide to keep the knowledge for the time being if it meant this could survive a moment longer. The chimes spun their melodic cry, honeying both of your ears. Now warm and more content with your day, you resumed the sleep Brok once stole from you.

Uhhh im new here(to your blog I mean), are your requests open?
If so then may I request some Brok x fem! reader? Like Brok from God of War has a crush the the reader, and doesn't really know how to act around them? Like he's always confident and stuff, but when he's around the reader, he stumbles over his words and stuff, and eventually the reader finds out he likes them and flirts with Brok? And Broke like melts.
Something like that? 😅😅😅😅
yes they are open and welcome to my blog! I hope you liked it so far ☺️
and I personally didn't see brok as a lover or I didn't look at him in that way. I don't know if I really can make a loving story about it but I will try my best because I love him as a character. and thanks for your request!

Confessing Your Love
Genre: Headconons
Warnings: Cursing(Brok..)
≫ ────── ≪•◦ ❈ ◦•≫ ────── ≪
Kratos
“Hmm,” followed by a slow nod.
He wouldn't say anything immediately.
He will just kind of look at you, studying your eyes.
He doesn't want to take chances.
Man has trust issues!
Telling him you love him will make him so happy yet so scared.
You wouldn't be able to tell.
Eventually you'd hear, “I love you, as well.”
He'd immediately ask you to move your things to his home if you haven't already.
He loves you, so you need to stay close so he can protect and provide for you!
He'd start to find more excuses to touch you and you'd laugh telling him he doesn't need them.
Eventually, he will be comfortable enough to walk up to you just for an embrace or smooch.
Mimir
Before his head got..you know.. His first instinct you be to turn to you completely.
“Really, Las? An old man like me?” He'd laugh but he'd offer to do something romantic.
Smartest man alive, but he never saw that coming.
Either way he’d swear his loyalty and heart to you.
Anything you want, he's on it.
After his head…
He'd probably hesitate to return the sentiment, no matter how genuine it is.
“I- I can't offer you much, Las.” He’d frown.
He'd feel inadequate, and undeserving- he's just a head after all!
What could he give you in terms of love and affection?
After telling him his company is all you desire then he'd probably think you've gone mad.
But after a while of talking about it he'd smile and say it back.
You'd carry his head on your belt during travels throughout the realms after.
Giving him kisses on his cheeks and forehead.
It's simple and innocent devotion and its loves that he's enough for you.
Atreus
Telling Arteus you've got a crush on him would probably make him completely freeze and go red.
I'm talking his fathers tattoo red!
Lots of stuttering and blushing while you guys talked about it.
He wouldn't really know what to do or say afterwards.
But no doubt he'd eventually be able to get it out that he likes you too.
He's never done any of this before, so he'd probably go to Mimir or Freya for advice.
If and when you ever hold his hand or hug him his palms get sweaty and he gets nervous.
But he's happy to oblige!
He thinks your so cute.
Talks to his dad about it.
He's shy, but after a while of spending more time hanging out with you he’d get cocky and try to show off and impress you more.
Half of the time he’ll be trying so hard he just ends up looking silly or just straight up stupid.
But you laugh it off and tell him how cute and sweet he is.
He's whipped.
Freya
No matter how comfortable she is around you, no matter how safe you make her feel, she'll hesitate.
As soon as you tell her you're in love with her, she'll need room away from you.
In every relationship so far, she's been to much or not enough.
The woman is hurt and healing.
She's scared its not the truth, like with Odin.
Or if it is, and you truly love her, then what if she messes it up?
What is her love is to much for you and you leave her?
Or what if, out of fear of being too much, she’s not enough- and you leave her?
Freya can't take another heartbreak.
But after seeing how understanding you are of her past, and reassuring her worries that you're not going anywhere she's willing to listen.
You'd tell her that it doesn't matter if she loves you the same way, or another, as long as your with her its enough for you.
And hearing that would be enough for her.
You'd have to take things slowand steady with her.
But she is so very much in love with you.
She will make sure you both set boundaries to keep her from going to far and pushing you away.
She doesn't wanna lose you too.
Brok
“Well it's about fucking time!”
He's so cool and sure of himself on the outside, so he'll play it off like he know you loved him.
But really he's surprised.
He's not the most romantic man, but he'll give it an honest try for your sake.
He’ll get flowers and sweets for his lady.
Most definitely start bringing about you to everyone he meets every chance he gets.
He's very standoffish when it comes to affection.
So any time you give it to him he'll stutter just slightly and awkwardly reciprocate it while he gets used to someone being infatuated with him.
Very defensive and protective is anyone makes comments about you two.
“Mind your business, you unfuckable drauger-looking bastard!”
Very confident on the outside, very unsure on the inside.
He's worried he's not doing it right but all he needs is you smiling at him the way you do and he'll be just fine.
Sindri
Congratulations, you broke him.
His initial reaction is giving O.O
Wide eyes, red cheeks, mouth open.
He'd stutter for a response and get frustrated with himself for losing his voice for a moment.
Give him some time and words will just start spilling out.
He loves you, that was no secret to anyone!
He’ll tell you all about it when the air come back into his lungs.
He’ll go on and on about how pretty you are, and amazing, and how much he likes your smile.
Lots of nervous chuckles and shy grins from this man.
He hates when people touch him, sorry to say you're no exception.
But you figured you wouldnt be; at least for now.
However he is willing to hook his pink finger to yours every now and then as a very small step in the direction of hugging you.
Having you love him really makes him frustrated with his thing with germs and dirt.
He’s never had a problem with it before.
But now he wants to hold you and be held by you and the thought of it makes him shiver in disgust.
It's a fear he's willing to conquer if it means one day he'll get to see the smile on your face when he holds you with out gagging for the first time.
You know better then to take offense; it's nothing personal.
He gags at everyone.
Tyr
He didn't see it coming.
But he had hoped..
It was a happy surprise when you blurted it out while spending time with him while reading.
He gave you a soft smile after the shock settled and returned the sentiment .
Not much had to be said between you two after that.
The only thing that really changed in the relationship were beginning to sit closer together and a lot more gentle touches.
He'd rest against you while you braid his hair, and he'll braid yours.
His eyes have always laid on you softly, but there's something more in them when he looks at you now.
Contentment.
He’s happy to share any moment a with you that he can.
Heimdal
He knew.
He knew you loved him for a while.
He knew you wanted to say it.
The cooky little shit just waited and waited until you did.
He wanted to hear it.
But when you approached him and said you loved him it felt different then he imagined it would.
He knew you, and he saw in your head that you truly meant it.
He knew you loved the good, the bad, and the ugly in him.
He knew that unlike the other people who have claimed to love him, you didn't think ‘i can change him.’
He saw the unsure insecurities in your head and body language that he wouldn't feel the same way.
After all, he reads minds, and he knew what you felt all this time and never addressed it so clearly he wasn't interested, right?
To be honest, up until that point he hadn't really considered your feelings despite knowing them.
You had told him you loved him, but you had only said it so he would tell you what you believed he would- that he doesn't care.
You had only said it so he could break your heart, and you could get closure, and hopefully move on.
It twisted his gut that you were walking into this fully believing you would be turned away.
He saw in your head that you had already been crying over it.
But that's not what he wanted, so instead being sarcastic or rude like he would be with literally anyone else he smiled at you.
“I know.” He said softly.
Thor
“Good for you.”
He's not really interested.
Plus he's still married.
So piss off.
Not proof read.

If Kratos had a child who mostly draws | Kratos x teen reader (platonic)
God of War 4
Tumblr media
He would always be curious to what you’re drawing, especially Mimir
Peers over your shoulder to see what you’re drawing this time (he’s praying that it would be him)
You would occasionally draw your family members every now and then, but you would mostly draw the environment surrounding you wherever you’re in
You and Atreus spend time with each other by drawing! (Literally just chilling at home and draw by the fire)
Atreus would try to draw you while you tried to do the same (he made you look goofy)
Whenever Kratos enters he would sometimes sees you and Atreus draw in silence
“[Name], Atreus, time for hunt—” Sees you and your brother drawing in your journals silently and looking focused
You would also draw Sindri, Brok, Mimir, and Freya too!
Sindri and Freya absolutely loves your work, while Brok huffs in pride that you drew him
Mimir will always be your number one model, since he can’t move around at all (it’s easy to sketch him too)
You also tried to draw your father smiling (which is a thing you can never look at ever again)
In short, Kratos enjoys seeing you draw. It brought comfort to him that you like to grasp the environment you’re in and settling that in your journal.
Whenever you’re sleeping, he sometimes steals your journal and looks at the sketches you’ve made

Everything Has Changed | Kratos x reader
A/N: I was listening to music and Everything Has Changed by Taylor Swift came on and it made me think of how one look at Kratos and I was in love lmao. I think Kratos deserves a whirlwind, sudden teenage dream type romance. Pure fluff!
Fem reader, no use of pronouns, but feminine descriptions used.
CW: Adult language, mention of death, mention of mysophobia.
Word Count: 4,535
---
You lived alone on a small island in Svartalfheim, near Dragon’s Beach. Since the towns nearby were built with dwarves in mind, you didn’t exactly find it the most comfortable to live in Nidavellir. So, you built your own little slice of paradise. You had a quaint home, not unlike those housed by dwarves. You also had your own garden to grow food, and a few pets to keep you company. You found your way into the tight-knit community created by, and for, dwarves after being taken in by the most unlikely candidate in all of Svartalfheim, Sindri.
Left an orphan after your parents were murdered under Odin’s orders, you were stuck wandering the town of Nidavellir at the age of 6. Your parents were adventurers; brave and curious truth-seekers. But when their curiosity brought them to Svartalfheim, dangerously close to what you can only assume was something very sacred to Odin, they were killed. Or, that’s what you think anyway. Odin and the aesir claim there was an “accident” when they were exploring. You didn’t know any better at the time, but Sindri did. Somehow he had convinced Odin not to take you away with him, gods know what he would have done to you if he hadn’t been successful.
Since then, you’ve looked to Sindri, and the entire community of Nidavellir, as family. It had been almost two decades since then, and now you work hard helping out the dwarves any way you can. You perform chores that are made easy due to your height advantage over them, but most importantly you make yourself available to listen to the community, sort of like a self-appointed therapist. That’s where you were at this very moment, on a hill a few minutes walk outside of town, you call your “office”. You saw a few people each day, but today was slower than usual. On days like this you liked to practice magic and tend to your garden. You took an interest in nature, so Sindri taught you how to manipulate some natural elements, get food to grow quicker, some healing magic, stuff like that. You were planting some seeds for the upcoming harvest season. Your hands, covered in soft, cold dirt, carefully poked holes into the tender earth. You dropped a few seeds in each hole before gently covering them back up.
The snap of a twig to your left tore your focus away from your current task. You turned your head to meet the sound and couldn’t help the smile that spread across your face. You saw Sindri stepping out from behind a tree, you hadn’t seen him in a few months, the both of you had been consumed in work as of late.
“Sindri!” you called to the dwarf as you dusted the dirt off your hands and stood up.
“Hey, it’s been a while. I-”
You cut off Sindri’s words by running over to him and embracing him in a bone-crunching hug. You were careful to keep your dirty hands away from him, but he hated being touched nonetheless. This was the longest you’ve ever gone without seeing each other, so he was just going to have to deal with your close proximity. You could feel his body tense up around your arms, signaling he had enough.
“I’m sorry, I know you hate it, but I haven’t seen you in forever!!” You flashed him a sad smile, pleading him not to be upset with you.
“No, it’s fine. I’ll just… take a bath in bleach.” He was standing so none of his limbs were touching each other, like an awkward sparring dummy.
“Don’t be so dramatic.” You teased him as you knelt down to rinse your hands in a bucket of water nearby.
“We breathed the same air for nearly 20 years, a hug is nothing.” you attempted to reason with his brain. You stood up once again and really took in the sight of Sindri standing in front of you. Despite his mysophobia that refused to waver, you really missed him.
“So, what are you doing here? Just dropping by?”
“No, I… I actually need your help with something.” Sindri’s tone had shifted from annoyed to more serious. “Anything for you, Sin’.” you smiled at him, trying to keep the conversation light. You couldn’t imagine he would have anything horrific to ask of you. You turned to a small shelf and grabbed a clean rag and a bottle of cleaner and handed it to Sindri.
“Here. I can’t take you seriously with you standing like that, man.” You chuckled. He mumbled out a ‘thanks’ and swiftly began to clean himself.
While Sindri was getting himself into a state of cleanliness that he deemed suitable, he told you of the favor he needed. He explained that the World Tree was dangerously close to becoming overgrown, and Ratatoskr had his hands busy trying to parent the lindwyrms, who were not ready to care for the world tree on their own quite yet.
“Ahh, so now my “dirty hobby” has come to be useful!” You crossed your arms smugly as Sindri rolled his eyes with a scoff.
“If that’s how you want to look at it…” he murmured. “Just, come to my house when you’re ready. I have to take a bath now.”
Before you could even agree, Sindri was gone. You chuckled to yourself and began to clean up and get ready to be away for awhile. You said a spell over your newly planted seeds to keep them healthy and watered for the time being. Next you collected some clothes and supplies into a small satchel and picked up your sword. Its hilt was crafted from dwarven steel and the blade was made out of wood from a poison tree and wrapped in thorny vines. You slid it into its sheath on your back and headed to the nearest mystic gateway.
---
Kratos, Atreus, and Mimir had just returned from freeing the Hafgufa from Vanaheim. There was a trail of sand following behind them.
“I’m really glad we got to set the Hafgufas free, but I don’t think I wanna go to any realms with sand for a while…” Atreus stated as he brushed some sand from his hair
“Aye, I’ve got sand in me neck stump!” Mimir shared Atreus’ disdain for feeling sand in every crevice imaginable. The sound of the front doors opening pulled the men’s attention from their current discomfort.
You took a few steps through the front door before you stopped in your tracks as you locked eyes with perhaps the most invigorating man you’ve ever seen. You hadn’t expected to see anyone else at the house, let alone someone so tantalizing. It felt as if all the breath was stolen from your lungs as you looked deep into his amber eyes. The scowl the man had on his face only a second before had noticeably softened now. It was as if the two of you were the only people in all the nine realms at that moment. After what felt like years of staring into this man’s soul through his eyes, it was cut short as sound filled the air.
“Y/n! About time I saw you again.” Brok greeted you as he walked out from behind the counter of the workshop. You held your gaze with the giant man for just one more second before reluctantly tearing your eyes away to greet Brok.
This was no big deal, you just had to act like you hadn’t just seen the most attractive and magnetizing person in your entire life… If you didn’t believe in love at first sight before, you sure as Hel believed in it now.
“It’s really great to see you, Brok.” You smiled at the blue dwarf and bent down to engulf him in a hug. You could only hope that he couldn’t feel your heart pounding in your chest.
Although your back was turned, you could feel the man's eyes on your body. You stood up straight and took a deep breath, readying yourself to speak to the handsome stranger. You turned towards him and held out your hand to greet him as you found yourself drawn to his eyes once again.
“Hi, I’m (y/n).” You introduced yourself. The man glanced down at your hand and then back at you. He reached his hand out to grasp yours in a surprisingly gentle handshake.
“Kratos.” is all he said. The sound of his voice was better than anything you imagined. You could have melted into a puddle of goo at that very moment.
“Kratos.” You smiled as you repeated his name. “It’s very nice to meet you.” You said, letting go of his hand, missing the warmth of his body heat immediately. You looked to your right to see a teenage boy. You had almost missed him in all the feelings and thoughts swirling around in your head.
Kratos placed a hand on the boy's shoulder, “This is my son, Atreus.”
You reached your hand out to greet Atreus as well, “It’s very nice to meet you too!” you smiled at the boy. He returned your smile and shook your hand, with much more grip and enthusiasm than his father.
“Good to meet you as well! So, how do you know Sindri?” Atreus asked, assuming only people close to the dwarf would be allowed access into his home. You chuckled slightly, thinking he was joking around. When he glanced around awkwardly you realized how serious he was.
“Oh…” you started, confusion showing on your face, but it soon turned to agitation. “Oh my gods.” You quickly turned your head to Brok. “He… He doesn’t talk about me?” You practically yelled in astonishment.
“Hey, don’t take it out on me… But, uh, let me take a look at yer sword.” Brok knew just how to evade your annoyance. You took out your sword and set it down on the workshop table with a scoff as you repeated your words with disbelief, “He doesn’t talk about me…”
Kratos and Atreus silently exchanged glances to each other as they were left guessing how you and Sindri were acquainted. One situation in particular was swirling around Kratos’ mind, that you were romantically involved with the dwarf. Disappointment had crept up onto him as he began to entertain this thought.
“Uhm… Are you and Sindri, like… dating?” Atreus awkwardly asked you, staring at his own feet to avoid your gaze.
“No! Oh, no, not at all! He raised me!” You had been so lost in your annoyance that you never answered the boy's question.
Kratos felt relief wash over him. He wasn’t sure why he was relieved, or why he cared if you had been something more than a friend or family member to Sindri. He had just met you, he should not be having these types of thoughts or feelings about anyone, let alone a stranger.
“Ohhh!” Atreus chuckled a little, finally looking up at you again. “Wait- Sindri had a kid?” He glanced at his father and then back to you. “Are you-”
You cut Atreus off before things could get awkward again, “No, I’m like an adopted sibling he never wanted.” you cleared the air.
Seemingly right on cue, Sindri entered the house.
“Oh! I didn’t realize you three would be back already...” Sindri shifted his weight from side to side, seemingly unprepared to introduce you to his guests. But his awkward demeanor soon switched to panic as he noticed the pool of sand in his house.
“Really?!” Sindri sighed loudly as he fetched a broom from a nearby closet. “You two, get outside!” He commanded Kratos and Atreus, pushing the broom at their heels to rush them out of his previously pristine house.
Once the duo had been escorted outside, Sindri shot them a warning, “And do NOT come back in until you are sand-free!”
Sindri propped the front doors open and began to sweep the sand out of the house. You were left watching the entire ordeal with a slightly amused look on your face. You figured you could give Sindri shit later for not telling his friends about you, he had enough on his plate for the time being. For now, your gaze drifted back towards Kratos.
“Uhm, I’m gonna go take a bath.” Atreus notified his father before turning his back to walk through a small wooden gate on the side of the house to clean up.
Kratos grumbled slightly and unhooked Mimir from his belt, setting him down on the bottom step of the stairs leading into the house. He then proceeded to take off each piece of his armor and shake the sand out from them. You took your time to look over his upper body. Your eyes trailed the bright red tattoo, from the sharp edge on his face to the swirl on his bicep, and the curve on his abdomen. You couldn’t help admiring his muscular physique and taking note of the large scar on his stomach, and a smaller one over his eye.
“Alright, quit yer drooling.” Brok’s voice snapped you back into reality. He set down your sword on the counter in between the two of you.
You whipped your head towards the dwarf, a soft pink blush falling over your cheeks.
“Fuck off, I was not drooling…” You defended yourself, snatching your sword back. You took a moment to look over Brok’s upgrades before returning it to its sheath.
“Whatever you say, princess.” Brok teased you further.
You rolled your eyes and started to walk down the steps outside. You were careful not to make any more of a mess for Sindri, but not careful enough to notice a severed head on the very last step. In your effort to avoid stepping on the head, you tripped over your own two feet. Instead of feeling the harsh impact of the ground, you felt a warm hand on your upper arm. You looked up to see Kratos holding onto you. His piercing brown eyes were staring right into your soul, again. You felt your heart rate pick up, you opened your mouth to speak but no words came out. His grip loosened on you and he returned his hand to his side.
“You should be more careful.” Kratos advised you.
“Yeah- uhm, I’m sorry about that.” You turned to the severed head on the steps, “I’m really sorry, I didn’t see you there.”
“Ah, don’t worry about it. It’s the big oaf’s fault for settin’ me down there.” The head was surprisingly forgiving of your clumsiness. A tinge of pink settled across your cheeks as you looked back to Kratos. The man just grunted in response to the head.
“I’m Mimir, it’s nice to meet you.” The head introduced himself at last. You sat down on the steps next to Mimir.
“Right back at’cha. I’m sorry I didn’t introduce myself earlier.” You felt guilt for over-looking him earlier. Although, you did overlook just about everyone except for Kratos…
“Don’t even mention it. How could ya have seen me?” Mimir continued to joke at the expense of Kratos. A smile spread across your face. Before you could continue your conversation, a voice rang out.
“Master (y/n)!” A familiar voice entered your eardrums, Ratatoskr. A small sigh escaped your lips as you stood up.
“Duty calls.” You announced. “I’ll see you two around.” You gave a smile to Mimir and a wave to Kratos before walking over to speak with the abnormally large squirrel. It was time to find out what exactly you’ll be helping him with.
Kratos’ gaze followed you as you walked away from him. His eyes raked over your figure, memorizing the way you walked and how your hips moved with each step.
“Father?” Atreus’ voice interrupted his thoughts.
“Hm?” Kratos turned his attention to his son and continued to shake the last of the sand out of his waist armor.
“I was just saying that the bath is ready for you, and I can clean up out here.” Atreus shifted his gaze between Mimir and his father. Kratos simply nodded his head, dropping the armor he was holding and headed to get himself cleaned up.
Atreus began to gather the armor from the ground. “Uhh, do you think he’s acting a little… weird today?”
“I think he might be a wee bit tired from all the traveling, lad. Speaking of, would you mind helping me clean up a bit?”
“Sure, no problem Mimir.” Atreus smiled and got to work.
---
You spent the next few hours getting a tour of the World Tree and extremely detailed instructions from Ratatoskr on how to care for it. He explained how to prune the branches, what limbs held which realms, what you should never touch, the list went on and on. Your head was so filled with new information it felt like your brain was going to explode. You walked into the house just as it was getting dark outside after finally being relieved for the evening. Even though the realm between realms doesn’t have a sun and a moon, it was still nice to have it simulate days and nights, so as to not lose track of time. The scent of meat and spices filled your nostrils, Brok was in the kitchen stirring a large pot, of what you assume was dinner.
“That smells amazing.” You said, walking towards Brok. You stopped in front of the giant pot and picked up a spoon to give the stew a taste test. “Tastes amazing too.”
“It ain’t ready yet.” Brok snatched the spoon out of your hand. You put your hands up in defense.
“Sorry, I guess I’ll just wait then… and never compliment you again.” you turned your back and headed to where you used to sleep growing up.
“Wait, that’s-” Before Brok could finish his warning, you opened the door to be greeted by Kratos sitting on the side of a makeshift bed. The only item of clothing he had on was dark brown pants. He almost looked like a different person without all his armor on. There was even more scarring hiding under his wrist armor, it looked like chains had been branded onto his forearms.
“Oh, I’m sorry I didn’t realize you were staying in here.” You apologized for intruding.
Kratos looked up to meet your gaze, “It is fine.”
You gave him a small smile and looked around the room, “This place hasn’t changed much. I used to stay in this room when I was younger.” You leaned against the wall as a flood of memories entered your mind.
“You can have the room if you wish.” Kratos said as he stood up with a slight grunt.
“No, I couldn’t kick you out of your room. You probably need it more than me. Plus, the chair out there is pretty comfy.” You assured him.
“Mh… Let me know if you change your mind.” He began to wrap some red cloth around his forearms.
“So, how did you come to have a talking severed head as your companion?” You questioned him.
“I cut it off.” Kratos replied to you plainly.
“Huh?” You had confusion written all over your face.
“He was trapped. Imprisoned in a tree and tortured everyday. He asked me to cut off his head to free him. So I did.” Kratos further explained.
“Oh, that’s actually really kind of you.” You said, reflecting on the odd, but thoughtful, request.
Kratos grunted in response.
Just as you were about to ask him more about himself, you heard Brok announce that dinner was ready. You gave Kratos one more look over. His lack of clothing was incredibly inviting, but you were hungry and tired.
“I’ll see you out there.” You excused yourself and walked out to the table to sit down and get some food.
---
Dinner was nice and casual, there was no residual awkwardness from the days prior events. You got to know more about Atreus, that boy really likes to talk. He was going on about the different types of monsters he’s fought with his dad. He seemed the most proud of defeating a huge electric dragon a few years ago. The most surprising detail of the story was that Sindri utilized one of the dragon’s teeth to enhance Atreus’ bow. Swapping stories around the dinner table made the time go by far too fast for your liking. It felt like the six of you had been friends for a lifetime. When the conversation had died down, you stood up and collected the empty plates. You made your way to the kitchen to wash up while Kratos and Atreus went into their respective rooms.
“I can get that, you should get some rest.” Sindri’s voice came from behind you. You turned your head to look at him.
“No, I really don’t mind!” You insisted, turning on the water.
“Okay… Well, to be honest I don’t trust anyone else washing the dishes but me.” Sindri admitted.
“Mmmh, the truth comes out.” You chuckled and stepped away from the sink. “Let me know if there’s anything I can do.”
“You just rest. You’ve done a lot for me today… Thank you.” Sindri gave you a small smile and got started on cleaning up.
You had an idea brewing in your mind. You couldn’t get your mind off of Kratos. You just wanted to know more about him, he was all you could think of. You found a spare piece of paper, scribbled down a note, slipped it under Kratos’ door and made yourself scarce.
“Brother, someone’s slipped a note under your door.” Mimir alerted Kratos, who was laying down on his makeshift bed. He pulled the weight of himself up with a slight grunt and walked over to where the note was. He bent down and picked it up, unfolding it carefully.
Meet me at the side of the house.
Kratos furrowed his brows and let out a confused grumble. He set the note down on a crate near his bed and stepped out of his room.
“Aye, what did it say??” Mimir questioned, but the only response he got was the sound of the door closing and heavy footsteps leading further and further away.
You were sitting on a barrel, leaning your back against the side of the house and nervously tapping your fingertips on your thigh. You heard the front door open and close, causing you to spring to your feet and run a hand through your hair to tame any fly-aways. You watched as Kratos entered through the side gate, latching it behind him. Your heartbeat started to increase with each step he took toward you. He stopped a few feet away from you.
“You wanted to see me?” Kratos spoke with a hint of confusion laced in his words.
“Yeah, I did…” You took a step toward him, taking in a deep breath before looking up into his eyes. “I’ve really enjoyed talking to you, and I just wanna know you better.” You confessed your infatuation with the man.
“What would you wish to know?” Kratos asked you.
“Everything?” You responded, taking another step closer to him, leaving only a few inches of space in between you.
“Mh… That may take awhile.” Kratos looked down at you, his chest steadily rising and falling with each breath he took. It was beyond your grasp how he could remain so calm and stoic, but it made you want him more than ever.
“I have time.” You told him with a small smile. You lifted your hand from your side and carefully placed it on Kratos’ cheek, right where his beard began to sprout. You looked in his eyes for any signs of hesitation, but you found none. You leaned up on your tippy toes and pressed a gentle kiss to his lips.
You leaned back just a few centimeters from him and opened your eyes. He hadn’t moved a muscle, it was like you had kissed a statue. Kratos had a look of surprise and confusion sprawled across his face. His eyes were raking over your facial features, searching for any hint of disgust. He was waiting for you to shove him away, to start laughing at him. He was expecting to hear you question who would ever want to touch a monster like him. But you were just staring right back at him, looking increasingly worried by the second.
“Are you okay?” You spoke, barely above a whisper. Had you broken him? Did he not like you? Was he trying to find a way to let you down without hurting your feelings? Your embarrassment started to manifest itself as redness across your cheeks, darkening with each moment of silence that passed.
Kratos nodded ever so slightly and one of his hands ghosted just above your hip, barely making contact with your body.
You placed your free hand on top of his, encouraging him to make full contact with you. You placed both of your hands on either side of his face and kissed him again. Only this time, you weren’t as gentle. You started with a firm kiss and then began to move your lips against his, trying to encourage him to kiss you back. You felt his hand on your hip pull you closer to his body and then you finally felt his lips start to move against yours. He dipped his head down so you didn’t have to strain to reach his lips. You couldn’t hold back a faint moan erupting from your throat as you wrapped your arms around his neck, trying to get even closer to Kratos. He now placed both his hands on your hips, tilting his head slightly to the side to deepen the kiss. After a few more moments, you weren’t sure if it was a lack of oxygen, or if you were getting drunk off of the feeling of Kratos on you, but you were getting dizzy. You stopped kissing him and placed a hand on his chest to steady yourself and took a moment to catch your breath. Kratos watched you cautiously, he gently brushed a strand of hair out of your face with the back of his hand. Your face was flushed pink and your lips were wet with the mix of both of your saliva. He hadn’t had any feelings like this in a long, long time.
“Uhm…” You looked up at Kratos, pleasantly surprised to see he was watching you carefully, “Would you wanna get a drink with me sometime?”
For the first time you saw the man’s cheeks firm up into a slight smile and heard the sweet sound of a chuckle escape his lips.
“Why don’t we go now?” He proposed.
You nodded in response, “Yeah, that sounds great.” You smiled back at him, not caring if you looked like a complete idiot.
“Let us go then.” He declared, walking towards the gate and holding it open for you.
“Okay, I know just the place.” You walked through the small wooden gate and excitedly waited for Kratos to catch up to you at the mystic gateway.

Chapter Four
Masterlist
You haven't been back to Sindri's house since Tire was liberated. You didn't want to face him. Thinking about this man always made you uncomfortable and tugged at your scars. You placed your hand against your shoulder. You didn't like it. You sighed, running your hands over your face. Have the Norns decided to challenge you? If so, they were really cruel to you. Although they told you once, they were just spectators of the spectacle that the Aesir Gods and mortals gave them.
So that was your life. A spectacle of tragedy that entertained the Norns.
“What a shitty life,” you muttered, slamming your knife into the belly of the deer you hunted.
You opened the poor beast's belly, removing its organs so you could harvest the meat. You were going to be able to last a few weeks with that. You froze as you felt a divine and threatening presence. You groaned as you approached the bucket full of water to clean your hands. You looked closely at your hands soaking in blood. The last time you had this much blood on your hands was when you took out your anger on a troll who had broken into the Valkyrie council. The creature didn't stand a chance against your rage and sadness. You remembered being covered in his blood from head to toe. You didn't get any satisfaction from this confrontation. You dipped your hands in the cold water, removing the blood from your hands.
You couldn't help but feel uncomfortable thinking about what happened in Svartalfheim. The liberation of Tyr did not bring you the relief and joy you hoped for. You dreamed so much of his return and you were disappointed by the reaction and behavior of the one who was your husband. No, this man was not your husband. Your husband was dead when he left your home for Asgard.
You grabbed your knife, moving closer to your game when you felt your hair stand up at the base of your neck. You saw a strange shape crossing the sky at full speed.
Had you dreamed or had you just seen Vanadís?
You dropped your work, rushing to the Mystique door. You walked through the door. You knew where she was going. You had heard the little boy talking about her with his father. If she was in such a hurry, that meant that Kratos and Atreus weren't far away. What could they have done to upset Vanadís? You passed the door arriving in front of a house. You heard the sound of weapons clashing when you heard Atreus screaming and bear howls. You rushed into the backyard to see Kratos holding back a grizzly bear.
"Atreus! You do not want this! Calm your mind. Control it!" he said holding the bear down. “She was our friend.”
Freya turned her back on the father and son. She was conflicted. Atreus returned to his human form. Kratos helped him up, asking if he was hurt. The Vanir Goddess felt rage invade her, her breathing accelerated. Freya screamed, turning to face Kratos. She used her Vanir magic, conjuring up a vine that wrapped itself around the rock next to the Spartan's head. The vine squeezed the rock until it exploded. Kratos protected Atreus from the flying stones. Freya faced them. Her rage was palpable. But she didn't always seem capable of killing someone. Was she still cursed or did she not have the courage?
"Maybe… for the moment… you're of no more use to me… alive," she said, putting away her sword.
Kratos stood up, grabbing Atreus' arm, forcing him to do the same. The Spartan ordered the teenager to return to Sindri's house. Which, obviously, Atreus didn't like. Not surprisingly, Sindri and Brok came out from behind a rock. You rolled your eyes as you saw Atreus' sidekick say they were taking him home and saw him bow to Freya. Kratos pushed Atreus towards the dwarves, telling them not to lose sight of him. You watched Sindri and the teenager pass not far from you. Atreus looked at you surprised to see you there, but Sindri made him understand that this was not the time to upset his father. The two headed towards the mystic gate, leaving Midgard. Something interesting seemed to have happened while you were gone. You returned your attention to the deities who were getting dangerously closer, sizing each other up with their eyes.
“What is it you want?” Kratos asked.
"I refuse to remain bound to this Realm. We travel to Vanaheim," Freya announced.
Vanaheim?
Wasn't that where Sköll and Hati were? Was it a Norn trick? But the dream you had. Did Tyr plan all this?
“(Y/N)?” Freya asked, looking at you in surprise.
You were brought out of your thoughts when you heard the Goddess. She was looking at you as if she had just seen a ghost. You looked at Kratos. The Spartan moved closer to your person, eyeing you severely.
"What are you doing here?"
"I saw a furious Goddess speeding past my house. Only Vanadís was in such a hurry. And it was only you she could fight," you said. while looking at Kratos. “You lost sight of your little boy again, didn’t you?”
“That’s none of your business,” he said, moving next to you.
"Of course. But your little one set something in motion. And there are some things I need to check out. I'm coming with it to Vanaheim. Your brother is still there right?" you asked, turning your attention back to Freya. “I have a few questions to ask him.”
"What do you want to know?" asked Kratos who was near Brok.
"I imagine you haven't been idle since… Tyr was freed. Am I wrong? I need to know what you found and what happened."
"For what?" asked Freya perplexed.
"Ragnarok is almost here. There are some things I need to know."
"Would you have a role to play during Ragnarok, daughter?" Mimir asked uneasily.
"I… I don't know. But in Vanaheim… there's one thing I have to see."
"What?" Kratos asked.
"I just need to go check something out. Without Tyr being around."
“You still don’t trust him?” asked Mimir.
"No."
“Tyr is alive?” asked Freya in surprise.
“Not really,” you replied, heading towards the mystical door. “This man is not Tyr.”
Freya gave Kratos a look that said they were going to have to discuss this. Brok finished opening the passage, allowing the group to travel to Vanaheim.
Vanaheim.
This Realm was a huge jungle, filled with dangerous vegetation that attacked any outsiders. The smell of humidity and plants invaded your nostrils. It was strange. The last time you came to this Realm was for Freya and Odin's wedding. Like everyone else, you had bitter memories of it. Everyone was angry with Freya and with Mimir. Freyr had caused a scandal during the ceremony.
"Oh no. Something's wrong," Freya said, snapping you out of your thoughts. "My spell. I can feel it slipping."
"Well. That's Fimbulvetr for ya!" Brok said.
"You don't understand. I'll be torn from the Realm."
“What can be done?” Kratos asked, looking at Freya who was muttering under her breath.
"Something I was hoping to avoid… Seems I have much choice."
Before everyone's eyes, Freya transformed into a hawk. Mimir asked her if she could circumvent Odin's spell from the beginning, to which the Goddess replied that she discovered it when they opened the passage between the realms. It was not a solution and this form was extremely restrictive for her. In this form, she couldn't fight.
The journey took place under Brok's stupid jokes and Mimir's answers. Kratos, Brok and you killed every plant that had become more aggressive with the humidity and creatures that emerged from the shadows to stop them.
Everything here was in ruins. Nothing has been rebuilt. Which saddened Freya.
Was it also surprising?
“Whare has everyone gone, I wonder…?” Mimir began, perplexed.
“They must have withdrawn. Hidden themselves out in the wilds, and covered their tracks with magic,” Freya replied. “No way of knowing how many are left, or how to reach them.”
“Aesir ran cockshod all over this place, huh?” Brok commented.
“You can thank Mimir for that,” Freya commented sarcastically.
“War with the Vanir was NEVER my idea!” exclaimed Mimir. “MY idea was brokering the marriage to end it!”
“A great success that was!”
“Like many of his ideas,” you said darkly.
"Darling. I assure you it was to protect you."
"Of course. Keep convincing yourself," you said with a chuckle.
"Enough! Let's keep moving," Kratos growled.
The rest of the trip was done in silence. The trio followed Freya through the Vanaheim jungle until Brok was caught by a trap that dragged him to an unknown location. You glanced at Kratos, who did the same. You and him were going to have to save Brok's blue butt. Kratos went first, telling you to be careful. You arrived in a deserted place. Brok hung in midair, grunting as he tried to free himself from the trap. Kratos told him to shut up. It was way too quiet.
"Now what do we have here? Ol' One-Eye send another God and to a little girl to do dirty work?"
You and Kratos turned towards a man who lit a torch, allowing you to see his face better. You recognized him as Freyr, Freya's brother.
“Thor too busy?”
"We do not serve Odin," Kratos said.
“No?” Freyr asked, moving closer. “Picked a dangerous place for sightseeing, then. Am I right?”
Freyr's men emerged from the shadows, surrounding the two coming. You made your sword appear, revealing your nightmarish form. You were ready to fight.
“This form and this sword,” Freyr said, eyeing you carefully. "Little Valkyrie. I never thought I'd see you again, kiddo."
“There are two of us, Freyr,” you said, getting into a fighting stance.
“Now, now,” said Mimir. "No need for threats."
"Oh. I know that voice…," Freyr said as Kratos unhooked Mimir from his belt so he could see him. "You know, I'd cut off your head… but it seems somebody beat me to it."
"Aye. Oh, quit watching, brother," the head replied.
"No, you're no brother of mine. You sold my sister to that… prick!"
“We brokered a peace!”
"Oh! Did you now? Where is it? Hmm? And where is my sister? Some dungeon in Asgard? Is she even alive? ANSWER ME!"
Freyr got too close to Mimir, Kratos pointed his ax at the Vanir God, making him understand that he was too close. Freyr laughed, backing away from the trap that held Brok. He took his weapon from his belt, saying that blood would flow. At that moment, Freya yelled for her brother to stop. She landed on a perch, looking down at Freyr who was looking at her perplexed.
"What is that? Why do you speak in her voice?" he asked without looking away from the hawk.
"It's me, Yngvi. There's no time to explain. Just listen. These person are in my service. I'm here to reclaim what's been taken from me."
"It's too late. You can't' undo what's been done," Freyr replied.
"I can. I will. Now let them pass."
Freya took off from her perch, leaving the camp. Freyr didn't take his eyes off her. He didn't seem to believe that his sister had returned to him. The Vanir God turned to the duo, asking if they served his sister. Kratos growled in response as you transformed back into your normal form, vanishing your sword. Freyr sneered, commenting that they were all serving her. He turned to Lunda, ordering her to free Brok from this trap. The dwarf brought her knife down on the rope, cutting it cleanly. Brok fell heavily to the ground. Kratos hooked Mimir back onto his belt. You approached Brok, helping him up while Kratos approached Freyr.
“Nothing broken?” you asked, helping Brok up.
"I'm fine. I've seen worse than that fall," he said, turning to Lunda. "What's with leaving me hanging like that, ya crusty hag?"
"Oh can it, Blábr! C'mere…," she said before giving Brok a hug.
"Well! Found who I was lookin' for. Think I'm gonna stay and catch up," Brok said before following Lunda to her forge.
“Oh, are you now?”
“Do as you wish,” you replied, watching the two dwarves walk away.
You sighed, going to join the Elves of Alfheim and a man dressed in armor and armed with a huge sword. You took a seat on a log, glancing at Freyr's henchmen. The man named Birgir told you that they wanted the camp to remain secret. You replied that it would stay that way. You weren't going to leave camp anyway. You didn't care what Freya was looking for. You just had to know something.
"Are Sköll and Hati in Vanaheim?" you asked, looking at Birgir.
"Why this question?"
"I just need to know if they are here and if there was any strange phenomenon. Wasn't there a solar eclipse?"
“It’s been several centuries since there was one,” Beyla replied, catching your attention. "The wolves continue to chase the Sun and the Moon. They are fine."
"I need to go check on them. I need to make sure they're okay. Where is their lair?"
“Whose lair?”
You jumped, turning to Freyr who was holding Mimir. The Vanir God settled down next to you, giving you back what was left of your father. You looked at Mimir uncertainly. You reached out your hand, taking the rope to place him at your side.
“I have to go see Sköll and Hati,” you said, looking at Freyr.
"For what?"
"I have to make sure they're okay and that nothing bad happens to them."
Freyr looked at Birgir, Beyla and Byggvir. The camp leader sighed and stood up, gesturing for you to follow him to the table. You grabbed Mimir, following Freyr who showed you a map. He explained to you which path you had to take to get to the wolves' den. Freyr looked at you intently. You took off your cloak, putting it in a corner, so you could tie Mimir to your waist. Your wings. No doubt a move from Odin. He remembered you. After all, you have always been the pride of the Valkyries and Mimir. Everyone knew you. He had seen you as a child. He even played with you and learned some pranks to play on your father. Until Heimdal decided to burn it and leave Asgard.
“Why do you want to make sure the wolves are okay?” Freyr asked, folding the map.
"I know they were imprisoned by Odin. I just need to make sure nothing curious happens," you said, heading towards the portal.
“Wait!” Freyr exclaimed, following you. "Are you sure it's a good idea to go alone? How long has it been since you last came to Vanaheim?"
“Do you think I’m that weak, Freyr?” you asked, stopping near the gate.
"I didn't say you're weak, little Valkyrie. I'm just saying it's not a good idea to go alone. Fimbulvetr hasn't spared this Kingdom and there are many Einharjes who is swarming around."
"You don't have to worry. After the Valkyries, someone else taught me some techniques," you said as you passed through the portal. “I’ll be back in a few hours.”
You moved away from Freyr's camp, deep into the jungle of Vanaheim. You took the path indicated by Freyr. According to him, Sköll and Hati were not far away. Mimir glanced at you a few times. Should he speak or not? You were still mad at him. Well Named.
"Honey… I know you don't want to talk to me, but I wish you would listen to me. Your mother and I… we really thought we were protecting you by sending you back to Midgard. We wanted to keep you away from Odin and his madness. But… it didn't go as we hoped. I don't know what he did or how he was able to find you, but… I'm sorry. I couldn't protect you the way I wanted. The day he imprisoned me and cursed the Valkyries… they brought us your wings. Daughter… please. I want you to know, I'm sorry. This pain will torment me all my life. The only thing that calms me is knowing that you are alive."
You stopped when you heard Mimir's apology. He asked you for forgiveness? He wanted you to forgive him for abandoning you? You unhooked your head from your belt, placing it on a rock. Mimir could see from your expression that you were not happy with this request. You turned your back on Mimir, taking a few steps away. You ran your hands over your face, running them through your hair. Did he dare to ask you for forgiveness? He dared to make such a request to you?
“You and Mother forced me to return to Midgard,” you began softly, turning to Mimir. “You and Mother never came to see me. Never! You and Mother failed me! You You gave up without the slightest remorse! I was all alone! I had no one… do you know what I did when I found out that mother was locked up? I protected her. I did the only one that you and her didn't do. I stayed with her and protected that damn breach at the risk of my life! So no! No. I could never forgive you. Or her ."
Mimir sighed, dejected. Everything you just told him was true. It was normal that you refused to forgive him. With their statue as Sigrun's Queen of the Valkyries and Odin's role as advisor, they never had time to make sure you were well established in Midgard. He had been busy making sure the marriage between Odin and Freya worked to ensure some semblance of peace. Which has always been a big joke.
“That’s what I told myself when he took my wings and in Tyr when he found me,” you said with a sigh.
“I… I beg your pardon?” Mimir asked, looking at you surprised.
You approached the rock where you had placed Mimir. You sat down in front of him, looking him over. Mimir was struck by your state. Since he was able to see you again, this was the first time he was able to see you properly. Your eyes were watery, you had dark bags under your eyes, that sparkle of mischief that you had as a child was gone. You have become a woman tired of this miserable life. You sighed, running your hands over your face.
"I obeyed. I returned to Midgard. I knew that you and mother wanted to protect me from Odin. But that wasn't enough. Do you want to know what he did? He pretended to be you. He took on your appearance and I let my guard down. That's how he managed to take my wings. When he did… I called. . You and mother… I called for someone to come and help me…"
“But no one came…”
“No… no one,” you said, sighing. "I found Mother's breach. I tried to ignore her, but… I kept coming back to her. I couldn't… get used to the idea to left her alone and helpless. Until Tyr found me and helped me. He trained me. He loved me. He saved me. I was happy again. But so was he, he abandoned me. That man at Sindri's… he's not my Tyr. He's not my husband."
"But… that doesn't explain why you want to see Sköll and Hati."
"I had a dream not long ago. I was with Tyr. We were going hunting and then… he disappeared. At that moment, a lightning bolt tore through the sky and everything became red. The moon was hiding the Sun. Then I saw two pairs of eyes and some growling noises and in the end, Tyr appeared and asked me to help him."
"It's strange. A premonitory dream perhaps," replied Mimir perplexed. "You helped Tyr, in a way, and we're going to see the wolves. But an eclipse? That's strange. I'll think about it, darling."
“Thank you,” you said, smiling at Mimir. “Father.”
"I'll make it up to you (Y/N). I promise."
"No offense. You're just a head," you said, getting up and picking up Mimir.
"Ah! It doesn't just take brawn to succeed, Darling. I thought I taught you that."
“Yes, but from time to time, you have to know how to hit.”
“Okay, you’re right about that.”
You let out a light laugh as you attached Mimir to your waist. You set off again, finally reaching the wolves' den. You saw the wolf Hati who was sleeping. Sköll was still chasing the Sun. You slowly approached Hati. The wolf's ears twitched as he heard you approach. You kneeled in front of him. Hati raised his head, looking at you perplexed. At first glance, he seemed fine. You sat down, sighing in relief. Maybe the dream you had was nothing more than a dream. You held out your hand towards him. The giant wolf brought its snout closer, sniffing a little before standing up. You did the same, following him to the edge of the cliff. Hati sat up, looking at you with his red eyes. He began to scream before chasing the moon, giving way to the Sun. Sköll will run towards you, landing next to you. The wolf looked at you perplexed as you offered him your hand. He sniffed for a few seconds before going to lie down in his den, waiting for his brother to finish his endless chase.
“They are fine,” Mimir said. "It seems your dream is just a dream, daughter."
“Maybe,” you said, looking at Sköll.
"It's been a while since you've been away from camp. It's better to go back before they worry."
“Yes.”
You looked at Sköll one last time before leaving their lair to return to Freyr's camp. You were relieved to know that the wolves were okay. So why did you have this dream? It did not make sense. No, you didn't have to think about it anymore. You walked through the camp gate to see Freya and Freyr hugging. Apparently you missed something. You moved closer to Kratos, unhooking Mimir from your waist to return him to the Spartan.
"You finished?" you asked, looking at Kratos.
“Yes.”
“What’s the verdict?” Mimir asked.
“She will help us,” Kratos replied, looking at Mimir. “Did everything go well?”
“Oh yes,” the head replied. "Very well even. Now what? What do we do?"
"We're going back," Kratos replied, hanging Mimir back on his belt. "And you?"
"I'm coming. I have to do something," you replied uncomfortably.
"You want to talk to him? Are you sure?" asked Mimir worried.
“Yes, you have to.”
"I'm ready to go," Freya announced, approaching the group. "(Y/N)? Did you find what you were looking for?"
"Yes. I have nothing more to do here."
"We're going back," Kratos said as he headed towards the entrance to the camp.
"Hey little Valkyrie! Come back and see us soon!" Freyr exclaimed.
"Yes, Freyr. I'll think about it," you replied before catching up with Freya and Kratos.
You liked Freyr, but he was always so loud and exhausting. At least it seemed that he and Freya had reconciled, and she and Kratos seemed to have put their differences aside. It was a good thing. At least, you hoped so. Now there was one thing left for you to do.
Talk to Tyr.
Just thinking about it made you uncomfortable. You felt your stomach twist and your hands become sweaty. It was so strange that you felt this way when thinking about your husband. You had to stay focused on your goal. But there was also another problem. According to Mimir, Atreus had disappeared for two days and he refused to say where he had been. This did not please the Spartan who announced that the boy was going to tell him everything and that there was nothing to add. Mimir looked at you, commenting that this was the famous Spartan diplomacy. But Freya's question sent shivers down your spine.
"Wait… did you say Odin invited him to Asgard and then he disappeared for two days?" asked the Goddess worriedly.
"What? Are you kidding?!" you exclaimed. "Odin invited the little boy to Asgard?!"
"Aye… but surely the lad's got more sense than to-" Mimir began before being cut off by Freya.
"Don't underestimate Odin's powers of persuasion. He filled my son's head with lies. Why wouldn't he do the same with yours?"
“It’s not just persuasion,” you said darkly. "If he feels that your little one is an obstacle to his plans, he will not hesitate to make him disappear. He has no limits."
“That too,” Freya replied softly, watching you struggle.
You preferred to ignore the look Freya gave you. You didn't need his pity. Not after all this time. You walked through the door, arriving in front of Sindri's house. Brok was arguing with Bitter Squirrel, one of Ratatoskr's alteregos. Kratos ignored the argument and entered the house. You followed the Spartan, with Brok and Freya. Kratos wasted no time entering his son's room. Sindri left the room, visibly upset. You went to sit at the table when Atreus came out of his room insulting his father. You heard Mimir exclaim that this was not how he was going to change his father's mind.
It looked bad.
"He doesn't have any faith in me! It's fine of he keeps secrets. It's fine is Mom did," exclaimed Atreus who came to sit at the table.
“It is NOT fine,” Kraots replied harshly as he followed his son. “Her secrets haunt every step of this path.”
"Oh, okay. So you don't believe in her anymore either?"
“His is not about your mother!” Kratos exclaimed, placing Mimir on the table. “What you have done is lie.”
“Wonder where I learned that?” the boy replied sarcastically.
“That’s quite enough!” exclaimed Mimir.
“Since when do you away take his side?” Atreus asked, looking at his angry head.
"Since he became the one making sense."
In the meantime, Tyr had approached the table. A pot full of stew in his hands.
"Look… I was only thinking about going to Odin. But I swear it's for a good reason…," explained the young man.
“There is no good reason to go to Odin,” Freya replied, approaching.
“He’ll only cloud your mind,” Tyr continued.
"But I'd be going for us. I gotta stop something bad from happening."
“Something bad did happen!” exclaimed Mimir, attracting the attention of the dwarves who approached in turn. "LOOK AT ME! At Freya. At Tyr. At (Y/N)! Odin did this to us!"
"What's got everyone caterwaulin' all a sudden?" Brok asked as he approached Atreus.
“Atreus wants to go Asgard,” Sindri replied.
"Asgard? Did he get kicked in the head or something?"
"Great. I guess everyone's against me now," Atreus growled, glaring at his father.
"You must choose who you are going to be," Kratos replied, approaching his son. "Are you going to continue to lie and keep things from me? Or are you my son?"
As he spoke, Kratos placed his hand on Atreus' shoulder. Hoping that his words finally reach him. But it didn't seem to have any impact on the boy. If anything, it seemed to upset him even more.
"Choose? I never get to choose. Just leave me alone."
Atreus wanted to walk away and end this discussion. But Kratos didn't think so. He grabbed the boy's arm, ordering him to listen. Atreus yelled at him to let go. He violently pushed Kratos away, but with his rage, he transformed into a bear. Freya rushed to Kratos, helping him up. Tyr had dropped the pot, grabbing your arm to pull you towards him. Unluckily for Sindri, Atreus was standing in front of him. The dwarf tried to reason with the boy. Without success. Atreus violently pushed him away with his paw before fleeing and breaking down the door of the house. He was running away. Kratos rushed to the door as Freya and Brok rushed to Sindri's side. You tried to break away from Tyr's hold, but he refused to let you go.
"He might come back," he said nervously.
"Let go of me!" you cried, pushing him away and watching him get annoyed. “What the hell is wrong with you?!”
You quickly moved away from Tyr, approaching Sindri, Freya and Brok. According to the Goddess, there was nothing serious about the dwarf. Just scratches. Which was a relief in care. Your attention landed on the door. Kratos stood in the doorway. His fists were clenched and you seemed to see sparks flying. The Spartan slammed his fist against the doorway, making the house shake. You looked from Kratos, to Freya healing Sindri, to Brok who was cursing, and to Tyr who was standing nervously in the back of the room. You sighed, massaging your temples which were becoming sore.
And now what would happen?

Salutations!
I am new to and incredibly interested in writing fanfiction.
It‘s something I have been contemplating as a hobby, and now that I’ve come across some free time, I figure now is better than never. A I hold strong admiration toward Brok and Sindri - I thought that writing for the Huldra Brothers would be a delightful pastime. :>
I'm wondering if anyone has something that they've wanted to see- and haven't been able to find- concerning these characters. I would love to hear any ideas! I have a few of my own that I am working on.
These are not commissions, meaning they are free of charge and strictly for those happy brain juices. I’m open to writing just about anything. I apologize in advance for any unintentional character divergence; I will try my best! >:’D

Hey hey hey! Saw you wrote god of war stuff and came a running! I’d love to see Sindri, heimdall or Tyr (which ever you feel best at writing for) with a tall gaint reader. Sindri is just happy she likes him, heimdall is very upset he’s much shorter than her, Tyr just likes to look her in the eyes without breaking his neck.

Sindri
“This is my boy”
You say very proudly with sindri perched on your shoulder, your arm wrapped around his legs to make sure he doesn’t fall.
He doesn’t care about the massive height difference, so happy that you love him. That’s all that matters.
“Baby, I cleaned myself, can we cuddle now?”
He gets so happy when he knows you’re super clean.
He doesn’t like holding your hand at first, he needs to be comfortable enough to be able to have flesh against his.
He’s a master at giving head.
There i said it.
He actually thinks he looks cute next to you, especially when he has to look up at you.
Will comfort you when you’re sometime insecure about how tall you are. Your head often bangs against stuff.
Taller then Kratos. Easily.
Brok teased him so much Sindri for once felt like fighting.
He smiles so hard when you find it amusing when he pulls random stuff out of his bag.
He often tries to put you in his bag.
I’m serious, he’s asked a couple of times.
Says you’re so cute he always wants you on hand to stare at.
Tumblr media
Heimdall
“Shut the fuck up, you’re not even that tall”
He says, face full of embarrassment.
Absolutely hates it, he hates that you’re so much taller and stronger…and hotter and sexier then him.
He totally hates it so much.
He finds it good…good cause he can stare up at your tits as they hang above his face.
He gets so pissed off when you pat his head. Like so mad you might have to apologize later.
Of course you do it again. And again…and maybe once more. x2.
Finds it so sexy when you show off your legs, thinks that giants are actually so hot.
It’s bad at first, he needs to hide you and he physically fights himself a lot. You would often see him with his hair messed up and a scratched face.
At first you’re confused. Why is he hurting himself? He thought it was some sort of giant magic that made him fall in love with you. Odin hates giants. That’s why he hates them. But no…you’re so…you’re so good to him.
Constant battle with himself because he doesn’t wanna betray Odin…but it’s just love…how could love betray the all father?
Sneaks out to see you. Of course that’s a little hard so you might have to disguise yourself if you do Magic and come see him.
Tumblr media
Tyr
“My neck doesn’t hurt when I stare into your eyes”
He’s so happy, he found a giant who has lots of interest in him.
You’re Just his height, maybe even a little taller on a good day.
“I love your eyes, so pretty”
You often compliment him and he can’t even hide his face, ‘cause you’re his height!!!
Becomes so happy when you offer him a bed in HIS size.
You guys snuggle with over sized blankets you made.
Every-time he’s over your place, he gets so happy. Everything is for giants. He never needs to struggle with anything small ever again with you.
Can fuck you properly.
Ya I said that.
He can do your hair without needing to hunch over and break his back.
You guys often train together and he gets so happy when he sees you pull off a move he does.
It always ends with you guys on top of each other, laughing about him beating you all the time.
He’s the god of war, come on! You’re gonna have to break more then a sweat to beat him.
He likes when you sit on his lap, but sometimes forgets you’re so tall when you get off.
Gets so genuinely confused and he just goes
“AH- oh wait nvm”
Gets so protective when someone stares at you wrong, he knows the Aesir hate giants, he can’t lose you.

It took sindri so long to warm up to you being even close to him
But after long enough, he became way more comfortable touching you on the shoulder and maybe even holding your hand briefly
He lets you touch his face
He doesn’t let anyone near his face
You both helped Atreus in his search of tyr and in kratos attempt to intimidate sindri in his own home you stood your 5’3 ground in front of the towering god of war because nobody is going to take the blame for this especially not sindri
You go with him to his shops instead of travelling with Atreus and kratos more often now although you live the adventure and can’t help but go sometimes
This worries sindri so much more than he will ever let on to you
I feel like cooking with sindri is probably a really tender activity
Maybe just maybe he even feeds you something
Probably has to wash his hand right after but that’s ok with you because he’s trying and he’s stepping out of his comfort zone
I do love sindri he deserves so much more than he got
