Sorry for the salty Miraculous post. I should really just completely ignore canon. Mostly, at this point, I do. I’m having more fun with AUs, and a ship that is definitely never going to be canon. But I said a long time ago that I would hate it if Adrienette were to date pre-reveal. This was even back when I was obsessed with the lovesquare. (There’s a reason I only drew them together post-reveal or for DTIYS stuff. Adrienette does not appeal to me without a reveal first. At. All.) This is a show, with a lovesquare, where superhero identities are involved. But for some reason, they decide to have these characters start dating as... civilians? Not both of them as a heroes who know the other’s burdens, not one of them as a hero, but just civilians. (It is so boring to me, along with all of my other issues with it.) Also, bonus, they are both completely fine with abandoning their partner and Paris, in the toughest stage of their fight against evil. Their commitment to each other as superhero partners? Nah, that is not important. Just give up on that and don’t tell the other one! Who cares?! Obviously, what is important is that Adrien and Marinette can date.

I guess we’re supposed to like that because “omigosh the lovesquare is finally happening!” or something... but honestly, they are both being awful to their partner and whoever is suddenly having to jump in and protect Paris without any of the experiences that Ladybug and Chat Noir have had that have made them stronger and better suited for the job.  There are so many amazing ways for the lovesquare to happen. It’s such a good concept. That’s why there are literally THOUSANDS of amazing reveal fics of this ship where they finally realize they are in love with each other. It is NOT HARD to write this well. They’ve had the set up for it going since season 1. But I guess the show will throw every other side of the lovesquare, even as partners and friends, under the bus to make Adrienette happen. To be completely honest, I can’t help but wonder if they have written it this way to try to “not be like the fanfics” and not do it the way people might expect. After a 7+ year wait, it’s just such a disappointment. The way things are happening doesn’t even feel in character for them. I get that this is a romance centered show at the end of the day, but it’s been such a long wait for.. this? I know they are going to take their Miraculous back and realize some things at least. But it’s still Adrienette without a reveal, they still abandoned each other. I still hate it.  With that, I’m going to dive back into fanfics, AUs, and ships that will never happen in canon. It’s much more fun over here.

Whenever people say that Airbnb is way more expensive than a hotel. It just. That just simply is not true. That's true if you want to rent an entire fancy house, which is what Airbnb likes to pretend most of its site contains. Obviously such a rental should cost more than a hotel room. But if you rent the equivalent of a hotel room, like a spare room in someone's house, it is almost always cheaper. And also less damaging to the housing crisis.

So I was just watching some reviews of the Growing Together build/buy objects and appearantly this pavillion from the Isle of Volpe in Henford-on-Bagley is among the new pack’s debug objects?? Which is interesting because it’s not actually in the Cottage Living debug catalouge (I was looking for it the other day and was a bit disappointed it wasn’t included)...

are there any photographers in here. can you englighten me on what's so special about a tripod? obviously they stabilize the image better. i get their use for long exposures (i used mine to attempt star photography) and like, portraits and stuff...but not much else. i read about macro photography and the articles are like "omg you NEED a tripod for macro" like hello do you think that cool bug is gonna wait around for me to set up a bulky tripod? same with zoom...i want a picture of that bird before it flies away....and with photo composition, it seems like so much trouble to have to raise/lower the tripod or tilt it to get the photo you want?

idk i'm sure my uses of my camera are probably different but i just feel like i see tripods being over hyped when all i can see is too much hassle for my needs

you know, i remember... this seriously must have been like 10 years ago now.. i wasn’t on big time rush tumblr at the time but i had a mutual who was a fan. i saw this video on my dash of big time rush swearing, like a lot, with no context. and i guess some people thought it was just hilarious, which it is. but i was very confused by it. like they were facing some webcam but having what clearly seemed like a private conversation, and there was mention of some “sarah” between them, and beneath the video there were so many memes about like “fuckin sarah and her smartass fuckin mouth”--which, again, is hilarious. there was one of timmy turner’s dad making the “dinkleberg” face but it said “sarah” under it. if only i could find it, but anyway, that clip never left my memory.

a couple years ago kind of out of the blue in early quarantine i put on stephen kramer glickman’s podcast episode with logan and they brought up briefly there was an incident that happened while they were shooting the movie, where after they had all just worked like a 20 hour day they were about to go on livestream for the fans to announce a tour and they didn’t realize they were already recording. they just started letting off some steam about an unnamed staff member who, to be fair, they both kind of acknowledge didn’t have any leverage over them or anything and didn’t really even do anything wrong, was just kinda doin her job on a hectic day. and then afterwards, when that all came out and was circulating on the internet, on one hand, it looks really bad for nickelodeon that their stars were just speaking like this on camera for their fans to see, but on another hand, they were in the process of filming a movie and were on that livestream to announce a tour. the stakes were so high for this project to make so much money that very moment that like... what are you going to do to punish them for that? i guess they just kinda got a “👀👀 don’t do that again”

and that situation, i guess, if you look it up, still has some surviving lore about this ‘sarah’ and what she apparently did to piss them off, which i assume is 99% speculation. i guess the really funny part to me is that sarah didn’t even do anything wrong. sarah didn’t even do shit, other than her job. the guys were just so overworked and that moment she was another easy person to be annoyed with. fffuckin’ sarah...  🙄

my friends asked me if I want to go on a trip out of the country with them. I said sure, why not, I'll go. I barely leave the house these days, so maybe the universe will be kind to me and let me have this one and there will be no pandemic-related issues on our trip.

so we booked our flight tickets and we're leaving in december. this was a few months ago.

I asked them what their plans were, like why they chose the place and what did they want to do in particular. they have no plans. I'm like, okay, that's fine. there's plenty of time to figure out what to do.

it is now october. I don't think they have the energy to make plans. but we bought the flight tickets already so there's a commitment to the trip, so... ???

I am now researching on accommodations and a possible itinerary. I am honestly fine doing whatever and I don't want to impose on what activities to do. if they want to just go on a food trip for a whole week that's totally cool. but um. I think we should at least pencil book a place to stay at? prices are way cheaper when we book earlier than later right...............
