Valeria: It would take her a while to say it. I mean, once she’s with you, she’s already smitten, but she says “I love you” in different ways that aren’t just saying those three words. Valeria courts you with lots of gifts, that much is true, but the closest thing you’ll ever hear from her that resembles a “You have my heart, I love you more than the sun loves the moon, than the ocean loves the land” would be her spending a day with you where she isn’t spending copious amounts of money on you. But that’s not what you asked. Valeria will tell you that she loves you when you’re feeling insecure since she never says it, but on her own accord? It would likely be a year or longer into your relationship, on one of those nights where the two of you are lying in bed together, just talking about your lives, what you’ve been through and how it’s shaped you as people. Just venting your worries, voicing your appreciation for each other and how you’ve helped one another. It’s during such a night, when you’ve gone quiet for a moment, that Valeria would hold you close and tell you, in a voice softer than what you’re used to normally from her, that she loves you.

Laswell: Like Valeria, she shows her love for you through different means. While she may be a gift giver as well, she also shows you how much she loves you by doing anything you may or may not ask of her. From chores, to walking your pet, to cooking you some stew when you’re sick. Laswell doesn’t say that she loves you from the get go either, it would take her several months to a year for her to say it. But when she does, it doesn’t seem like a special moment to anyone else. You’re probably hanging up your freshly washed clothes while she’s sitting at the table, a cup of coffee in hand. Laswell would get up, give you a kiss on your cheek, and tell you that she loves you so very dearly. She was overcome with adoration for you during that moment and needed to show you that she loves you. It’s afterwards that you get a lot more I love yous from her. Not on the daily still, but they would be more common. She will always, and I mean always, accompany her I love yous with some form of affectionate gesture, regardless of whether it be a kiss to your temple, a hug from behind, or a small lovely rose she found in a flower shop. You will always be taken care of and loved.

theorizing about what comes next for sovereign state 👀

spoilers for the "sovereign state" part two video under the cut!

okay so i'm re-watching the video with the sovereigns, and something that e'laetum and min'ara say stood out to me:

e'laetum: we need a sovereign. before it’s too late. min'ara: something stirs in death." e'laetum: a portent of that which is to come. min'ara: it’s too late to stop this tide. e'laetum: but the flood that would follow… it can still be avoided. min'ara: the children of land and sky must stand together again.

as of right now, we don't know when in the general timeline "sovereign state" is taking place. we also don't know what exactly caused the inversion (and all the recent videos have given me 5945 different theories).

but based on this conversation at this point in the video, what if e'laetum and min'ara can feel what is about to be unleashed in the river of death during the inversion. (this is me rambling at this point) but what if whatever was guarding all the shades was weakened as well, and in starlights future attempt to get a sovereign, they unleash the shades instead.

as of now, the project meridian, sovereign state, the balance, and most likely carpe deus plots are interwoven with each other:

the people at ETS are trying to fix the meridian via the asset

the people at close knit are trying to release the sovereign via sunshines connection to brachium/death (i believe; or they want to use sunshines connection to brachium/death to their benefit)

vega wants to find a way to use the sovereigns as a food source for d(a)emonkind once again, as they did originally, so they don't have to rely on humans any more

carpe deus occurs pre-inversion, we know now that the balance has been occurring pre-inversion (now exactly post-inversion), but the time slot for project meridian and sovereign state is still unknown.

right now, i think that the emphasis throughout the new video of children of sky and land standing together HAS to amount to some type of cross-over between at least two of the series above.

may it be brachium somehow communicating with sunshine and informing them of what has happened/is happening with starlight, or the asset somehow working with starlight and avior to close the meridian, there has to be a team-up between the series. i know vega is going to have to play a part here somehow, possibly as a foil because his goal technically opposes that of starlights buuuttt WHO KNOWS (maybe vegas the sovereign LOL)

i'm not even going to bring up the parts about my brain unravelling since we were given the coalescent date for vega, but thats a post for another time.

long story short: there has to be a crossover, but between who, i got NO CLUE T-T

She gets introduced post-Showdown in a story along similar lines to the Irish kid plot. Adam needs his car fixed, Donald takes him to the local mechanic as a life lesson. Adam sees the tattoo, gets into the mindset of gear = android = EVIL?? and shenanigans ensue, his paranoia infectious enough to get all of the kids involved. The incident’s fresh enough in their minds that they don’t want to risk another Marcus situation

‘Course they realize that they’ve been heckling a completely normal woman and apologize. And Carter, still only seeing a couple of odd ducks with no friends, figures this might actually be good life experience for them and goes, “Well if you got that outta your system, you’re welcome to hang,”

While she’s definitely picked up on there being more to the Davenports than meets the eye, she doesn’t actually learn the extent of the situation until You Posted What!? Whatever their deal is, whether it’s simply the lifestyle that comes with having an eccentric billionaire for a father or something else, they all seem to appreciate the sense of normalcy that comes with spending time with her. And for as long as she can, she’s happy to provide that
