summary: so i found an eviction note on my door when i came home from a shift so i looked on a bulletin board in the lobby and i saw an ad for a roommate and that ad was from you, my really cute neighbor and i was wondering if that offer still stands???

(A/N) i have finished!!! thank you for waiting very patiently for this,,,,, i know i haven’t been on my A game recently but thanks for not rushing me JDJSJD anywho i love you thanks for requesting! ❤️ i hope u like this !!

it was midnight and you were absolutely slumped, stressed, and kind of angry

work really kicked your ass that night

working at a 24/7 diner sucked so much cause sometimes the people would come at odd times

and there were some snappy customers

that night during your shift there was a particularly rude customer that ruined your mood so you just really wanted to lay down in your bed

but once you go to your door you found an eviction note saying that they’re going to kick you out in a week if you don’t pay your rent

right then and there you could feel all of the stress from that day form into tears

so you open your door in a haste and c r y

because??? you don’t get payed until next week??? so you’re basically screwed

but you decide to try and sleep it off because you are way too tired for this and it’s your day off tomorrow anyway

when you wake up you forget about the eviction note but you remember when you go to make coffee since it’s sitting on the counter

you let out the Biggest Sigh ever

you leave the paper on the counter and then you go down to the lobby to see the bulletin board to see if there are any roommate papers or open apartments

when you look you see something

‘looking for a roommate! contact at +xxx-xxx-xxxx na jaemin’

and you recognize the name cause hey!!! that’s your neighbor!!!

you never really talked to him before, only the few nods of the head at each other when you see each other

he’s cute or whatever

anyway

you decide you’re going to ask jaemin if you could be his roommate cause that seems better than living on your own

smh rent is high these days what were you thinking of anyway HAHA

moving on though

you go back up and try to build up the courage to knock on his door

but you don’t even know if he’s home

you knock anyway, and about a few seconds later you can see jaemin’s bright smile

angels are singing

‘did you need something y/n?’

you get snapped out of your daze

‘uh i saw the ad of you needing a roommate, and i was wondering if that offer still stands??’

and he looks confused cause? you’re his neighbor w hat??

and you see the confused look so you start to explain to him that you just got an eviction note last night and you really don’t know where else to go

your parent don’t live in the same country as you

your friends,,,,, uhhhh ??? very m i a i guess

and you won’t get payed until next week so you start to really beg him to be his roommate

and he can see how stressed you are so he accepts

and you just give him such a big smile and he metaphorically melts to the ground

and you really don’t even have to pack anything the whole week you move your stuff into his apartment and get rid of a l o t of things

you just found out you were a hoarder LMAO

but anywho!!

it takes a couple more days than planned to move everything into the other bedroom

but it’s all good

so the day you finally moved everything into his apartment he asked if you guys wanted to go grocery shopping cause his your guys’ kitchen was empt y

but you declined cause you needed to fix and arrange some stuff in your new room

and hes all like no problem i’ll just ask a friend to go with me, i’ll see you in a few hours!! and he grins and locks the door

you didn’t even fix stuff you just knocked out cold onto your bed

anyway fast forward it’s been a few days since you moved in

it’s been a lil awkward cause you guys don’t really interact with each other

your guys’ work schedules don’t match so hes always out when youre home and vice versa

so you never really get to talk with him

but!!! by some miracle your job/school schedules do match

and you guys FINALLY talk and break the VERY awkward tension

the dynamic in your house is so much better wow

sometimes when either of you couldn’t sleep you guys would venture out or just crash into the other’s room for the night

one time jaemin’s friend walked in on you guys cuddling in his bed cause he had a spare key

his friend (jeno) asked him about it a while later and jaemin was so blatant

so it’s been months now

(yes i time skipped sigh)

but anyway, jeno was still Skeptical cause?? friends don’t do all that couple stuff

grandma’s snkincare (snail skincare) routine

got an anon asking about my skincare routine, so here it is!

note: I have very dry (not oily) skin and am not prone to cystic acne (ever since I did accutane in college.. which seems to have nuked whatever ability my face had to produce horrible cystic acne.. horrific, but effective i guess). i mostly just get hormonal acne breakouts around my lips/chin area and closed comedones on my forehead/chin (those are like little hard bumps that never turn into pimples, just stay... bumpy)

the resources i use to optimize my routine when i was starting out are reddit.com/r/skincareaddiction (yes, i know it’s reddit but everyone on there are just wonderful supportive women so it’s Safe) and reddit.com/r/asianbeauty which specializes in asian products mostly catered for sensitive skin (which i have).

i guess the biggest thing i realised that really helped me out when choosing products was that my skin wasn’t oily because i have oily type skin, it was just oily because my skin was so dry that my body was overproducing oil to compensate for how dry it is. sounds counterintuitive, i know, but it really changed the game once i stopped nuking my skin with drying ingredients and learned how to moisturize properly.

anyways! after much trial and error my current routine is:

remove shitty makeup with micellar water. i use this shit i found in germany but any micellar water will do they’re basically all the same and will take off makeup super efficiently. idk how well it works for eye makeup since i don't wear any but for bb cream and foundation it works great!

cleanse with Hada Labo Tokyo Gentle Hydrating Cleanser which I found out about on that asianbeauty subreddit i mentioned above. it’s really great for dry skin and doesn’t have any fatty alcohols which I realised my skin was sensitive to. sometimes people’s skin love fatty alcohols! just not mine lol.

every other day use Paula’s Choice 2% BHA. this is what gets rid of my closed comedones (the little bumps on forehead and chin) and keeps them away. chemical exfoliants are much more gentle on your skin and will actually benefit you way more than a physical exfoliant (aka something like apricot scrubs.. ow!) in the long term as physical exfoliants will cause small micro-abrasions and increase the amount of wrinkles on ur face over time. also they are super drying!

use my Curology (this is my referral link lol give me that $$ discount) mix of 8% Azelaic acid (a chemical exfoliant for improving skin texture aka my skin is super smooth and nice feeling all the time), 1% Clindamycin (a minor antibiotic for preventing acne), and 0.25% Zinc Pyrithione (an antifungal thing for getting rid of acne). I just found out about Curology like a month ago and holy shit, it’s amazing. It’s $20/month for access to an actual Dermatologist that you can message every day if you want who will send you personalized prescription cream for you to use on your face every day. Trying to get an appointment for a dermatologist in the US takes like, a year for where i am so this is a lifesaver. i’m loving their service so far and will continue to use for a long, long time. the first month has a trial btw that’s only $5 so you can try it out and see how you like it. most dermatologists on there will respond to you within one business day. super awesome! i just read that they don’t ship out of the US, unfortunately, so if you need another option.. vv

if you can’t afford the monthly curology thing or its not available where u are, i would recommend replacing this step with another AHA type acid like The Ordinary 10% Azelaic Acid Suspension or Paula’s Choice 10% AHA. Finding which acid works for you is just trial and error, but don’t apply it that frequently or else your moisture barrier will be damaged and your skin will get tight and oily once again. I would recommend starting using it once every 3 days and then working your way up from there if needed. These might seem expensive but I have a 10% AHA bottle that has lasted me for like.... over a year. so it’s actually really cost effective lol.

after my curology mix I then break out the SNAIL MUCUS! this is a recent addition that i honestly am loving so much. I’m using corsx Advanced Snail 92 All-In-One Cream after my chemical exfoliant which helps to heal old & new acne scars/wounds and improve the feeling of my skin to give it a sorta healthy glow. it basically just helps accelerate healing, so if you have a healing pimple area it will disappear wayyyy faster with this on than without. it’s amazing! thank u snails! i slove (snail love) u!

after, if I’m really needing some more moisture (bc my skin dries out so much in the winter time in this dry dessert environment i find myself in), I use Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel which is another fatty-alcohol free moisturizer for sensitive, dry skin. i love this! it’s so cool feeling too, like sticking your hand into a lovely little pillow of moisture. my dermatologist on Curology recommended this to me and i can’t get enough. this is kinda expensive tho so if u can find a cheaper alternative than go for it (and also let me know lol)

last and not least, if I have a pimple that needs to Go I will gently pop & drain it (ew) and then apply a hydrocolloid bandage on top, which basically are made for gross wounds like burns and things that are very.. liquidity.. and will basically suck out all the liquid from the pimple and make it heal super fast. honestly if i pop a pimple the night before and slap on of these on it’ll usually be flat and well on its way to healing when i wake up. this is the best discovery ive had in my years of skincare and it’s a total gamechanger. i get the duoDerm ones which come in a pack of 10 sheets that I just cut little squares from. they are super duper cost effective. one box will last like over a year! super good investment tbh. also if i have a particularly bad pimple that doesn’t go away over night sometimes i’ll just leave it on throughout the day and if anyone asks what happened ill just be like ‘oh, i stabbed myself with a pencil’ or something and ppl will just shrug. sometimes i’ll also just be like ‘i got a giant pimple’ and people will nod empathetically, also. it depends on who u are as a person

and that’s my routine! remember when adding new products to always test it out before slapping it all over your face to see if it’ll break you out or if you’re allergic to it. i’m really bad at this tbh but i’ve seen so many horror stories of people just developing horrible cystic acne from new products so remember! to! patch! test!

I was having big thoughts about the twins, but then I couldn't remember if you'd mentioned the other Todoroki siblings existing in this AU!?!

You may have done and I just missed it, but if the other siblings already do, and if not, did exist in the AU, what would the twins relationship be like with them?

I can imagine Touya being the more approachable of the two, I feel he'd click quite well with Fuyumi perhaps? They both give me those sort of caregiver vibes 😅

Natsuo and Dabi I can imagine being close, not quite as close as in the Touya - Nii series, but I can still imagine Natsuo looking up to both his big brothers because they're so cool! (Dabi is just that smidge cooler to him though 😌)

BUT ANONNNN I AM SHOUTING HAHAHAHA oh my gosh okay first of all you and i have got to be on the same wavelength today bb hehehe because i haven’t mentioned their relationship with the other todoroki siblings much on my blog but i do have (and have had) their relationships with each mapped out in my notebook for months now and i was literally looking it over when you sent this in!! <33

AH SO MANY GOOD QUESTIONS LET’S GET INTO IT WEEEEEEE <3

so first i’m going to link you to this post (which kinda just delves into their relationship with each other but touches upon other relationships in the family) and this post (which discusses dabi’s reaction to yelling and touches upon his trauma related to enji; pls heed the tws!!) but to reiterate and all that:

twin!touya pretty much gets along with all of his siblings in some way. he’s the perfect model of an older brother. as i mentioned in the first post linked above, touya is just really good at playing the part. twin!dabi, on the other hand, barely gets along with anyone other than his twin. he’s extremely difficult to be around about 97% of the time.

natsuo definitely does think both of his older brothers are super super cool, and he follows them around like a puppy when they’ll let him, but he’s actually closer to twin!touya than he is to twin!dabi, simply because twin!dabi won’t let him get too close; dabi’s extreme trust issues get in the way. still, natsuo was the only one there for dabi when touya had been taken from him, and that forged quite a lasting and deep bond, even if it terrifies dabi to this day, even if dabi tries his very hardest to shove natsuo away because of it, even if it’s still extremely complex; a jumbled, tangled mess in his heart. but natsuo understands, and he’s nothing if not resilient, so he kinda just bounces back from it each and every time. but twin!touya has a special soft spot for natsuo, because natsuo was there to take care of his baby twin brother when he wasn’t, and to touya, that means the whole world to him <3 touya hopes that one day his twin will let his guard down enough to let natsuo into his heart, too.

fuyumi is incredibly suspicious of twin!touya. she’s smart as a whip, just like he is, and she can read him like a book and knows when he’s up to something; and he’s always up to something. all she wants is for her family to get along, for god’s sake, and she knows touya’s a threat to that, because he knows how ridiculously manipulative he is, and how he’s planning something against their father—fuyumi is the only of the todoroki siblings that actually has sympathy for their father. thus, even though touya has told her time and again not to worry about it, that everyone will be happy in the end, she knows ‘the end’ does not include their father in any way, shape, or form. still, with that being said, they get along quite well, and they’re constantly throwing teasing quips each other’s way <3 when it comes to twin!dabi, fuyumi’s heart positively breaks for him. he shoves her away, too, because he doesn’t know how to deal with her overwhelming love, but that does not deter her in the slightest. she was there, she witnessed what happened to him, she helped natsuo take care of him in every way she could; in fact, fuyumi took care of that entire family after her mother left. but she has such a soft spot for twin!dabi in her heart, a special type of unconditional love and sympathy for him, and she’ll always be there for him, no matter how many callous insults he spits her way. she views him akin to a terrified animal, and she understands why he lashes out, and sometimes—very rarely, but sometimes—he will let her take him into her arms and hold him, hug him, shush him. she was pretty much the mother he never had for those years when he was without his twin, even though she’s a little younger than he is. so there’s a very interesting, very complex bond there as well.

shouto loves both of his eldest brothers so much. twin!touya loves him back, thinks he’s an absolutely brilliant kid and such a kind, beautiful soul, but he can’t help but feel some resentment towards him; residual feelings that have been transferred from his twin to him. still, he tries to bury them, because he knows none of this is actually shouto’s fault, and that their father is the true villain here, the true one to blame. as i mentioned in the first post linked above, twin!dabi hates shouto with a fierce passion, because he feels betrayed for his twin, betrayed by the way their father so quickly found an (inferior, in his opinion) replacement for touya—to mold into the perfect puppet—and he himself feels a little slighted, too, angry and offended that their father didn’t even try to mold him in replacement of his twin and just went straight to the next ‘perfect’ child, because twin!dabi was too much work, he’s sure. shouto is terrified of dabi, but he looks up to touya with absolute stars in his eyes <3

rei feels incredibly guilty. she likes to pretend that she doesn’t know why she took only twin!touya when she really should’ve taken them both, and will regret for the rest of her life seperating the two of them for a few years. it was incredibly selfish of her, to snatch touya up only because she knew it would hurt her husband the most, and to leave twin!dabi and the rest of her children there with such a brute for a father. dabi hates her for it, and she doesn’t blame him. she hopes one day he can find it in his heart to forgive her for such a horrible mistake, but she knows it’s a slim possibility. she is very, very close to twin!touya though.

i have already touched upon their relationship with enji in the posts linked above, but basically twin!touya IS still enji’s favourite, and enji only latched onto shouto after rei took touya away (during the divorce). touya is still first in line for the family business, and shouto acts as more or less of a back-up, in case touya fails. he’s also easier to control, which is quite appealing to enji, too.

and then, as you can tell, the twins themselves have a very, very unhealthy codependency on each other; they can barely function without one another now <3

ANYWAY LOVELY, THOSE ARE THEIR RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE SIBLINGS + THEIR PARENTS!!! to answer your last few questions:

would the twins be open to sharing the reader with natsuo like touya-nii did in the snowman and me series? or is it strictly something kept between the twins?

no, they absolutely would not share her with natsuo, this is something very special and sacred and kept strictly between them <3

do the todoroki family know about the reader and the twins relationship? do they approve?

EHEHEHEHE this is something i’m really really looking forward to exploring in the future of the series!!! because the angst potential is totally insane hehe <3 the answer is, it’s extremely complicated. enji doesn’t approve at all. like, at ALL. he hates to think what the press would think, if this ever got out, and he knows dabi would be more than willing to leak it; anything to hurt his father, right? natsuo thinks it’s SO awesome and super hot, fuyumi thinks it’s quite cute how they share everything, but worries for the poor sweet reader since she knows how her brothers can be, and shouto can’t even think about it without blushing and getting super embarrassed; he isn’t really sure what he thinks yet, but he feels like it’s more their business than his own. rei is on the fence; she wants her boys to be happy, but is this really the best and healthiest way to do it? does she even have a say in it at all? is it really her place or her right to step up and say something? she isn’t sure.

touya-nii

okay hehehe i talked about this briefly in an ask a week or so ago, but touya-nii is a lot more in tune with his own emotions and, thus, in tune with yours. he’s incredibly perceptive, knows you inside out at this point—all of your little mannerisms and habits, every change in your tone, the way your voice wobbles on certain words—so he knows something is wrong instantly, before you’ve even started crying. his large hands are pulling you into his lap before a single tear drop has even fallen, before a sniffle has even sounded, cooing and murmuring to you as he cradles you to his chest. and it’s that action, that knowing sense, that breaks the dam in your chest, excruciating sobs tearing through your chest, entire body trembling under the force of them.

touya won’t make you tell him what’s wrong at first—he’ll let you cry it out, let you weep until your eyes are puffy and your head is pounding and you’ve run out of tears—before he demands, in his own loving way, you tell him what it is that’s bothering you so much. he can’t help if he doesn’t know what’s going on, he tells you, in that firm yet soft voice that is so distinctly him. after he’s borderline forced you to talk it out, he’ll indulge you in one of your favourite comfort activities (food, movies, sleep, etc whatever works for you <3).

here is also a lil ask about touya-nii comforting a reader who’s had a stressful week + panic attacks, if you want it!! <33

bmb!dabi

bmb!dabi is...overwhelmed. he doesn’t know how to deal with his own emotions, much less yours, but he still wants to help nonetheless, because seeing you in pain hurts him, too. there’s a little anger and irritation at first; not because of you, but because of his emotional incompetence, and he doesn’t realize you’re crying until you’re trying to swallow down rough sobs that have your chest stuttering. it takes him some time to work up the courage to come see what’s wrong—this is completely uncharted territory for him, so he’s quite cautious, but his love for you pulls him towards you whether he likes it or not.

while touya knows exactly what to say and when to say it, bmb!dabi is very silent—he hasn’t a clue what to say, but you can feel his eagerness to help, can feel how badly he wants to make it better rolling off of him in waves as he hovers around you, mumbling out questions; are you okay? how can i help? and placing a hesitant but tender hand on your back, or an arm around your shoulders. it’s only when you lean into his touch, that he finally realizes what you need in that moment.

so he’ll wrap you up in his strong arms, allowing you to stain his t-shirt with salt water and tangle your fingers in the material as you tug him closer, letting you cling to him for as long as you need to, safe in his embrace. after your sobs have calmed a little, he’ll wordlessly pull you down onto the couch with him, your body in his lap, and put on a film or show he knows you enjoy. and he’ll continue with his soft touches, palm rubbing soothing circles into your back, or fingers tracing nonsensical patterns on your skin.

he doesn’t say much, but his comforting presence and his gentle touches are enough <3

OMG CLARI HI ITS BEEN FOREVER!!! i’ve been so busy with college that i took a social media break and am only just now able to download tumblr again :) how are you?? i hope you’ve been well and just from some quick scrolling, i see that ur blog has grown so much bigger than when i was last on here and eek!!!! i’m so proud of u!!! u n ur writing deserve it so much :))))

ofc i know that i primarily sent u asks about the bmb universe way back when (and i am very excited to get caught up on the new installments) but i couldn’t resist the piece u posted for mr shiggy’s birthday and honestly i’m so happy i read it first bc it is so good. u do such a good job writing angst and the way the mc described her guilt over cheating on touya even though he can be very manipulative was so realistic and so well described i could really sympathize with her and her actions. her internal conflict combined with her affection for tomura is a deadly combo (for touya anyways) and u balanced the terror and feelings of desire so well!!!! i’m so fond of the tomura in this universe. he’s so impulsive and not tactful at all. he says what he wants and what he wants is the mc and compared to touya’s conniving ways, he’s like a breath of fresh air. sniff sniff ;; i think i might be in love with tomura almost as much as he’s in love with the mc. speaking of!!!! that last scene in the bathroom where she reads his text and has to delete it is such a gut punch like ugh she’s so conflicted and her feelings are pulled in every which way and god i just wanna hold her hand and give her a pat on the back and tell her everything will be okay. u did such a great job with the emotions of this piece so it was the perfect thing to read as soon as i opened the tumblr app.

u probably already guessed that i would have more questions, lol, so here they are!!! does touya ever find out? why doesn’t tomura do anything to fight for the mc? does she love tomura back and is it that she’s too caught up in touya to properly go after tomu or what? gah i’m so nosy but that’s only because i love what u did with these characters. they balance each other so nicely :)

(like i mentioned in the ask before this, idk if i’d technically include this piece in what is officially ‘canon’ for m touya-nii AU--i just wrote it for fun n because i missed this version of tomura sm!!) BUT no, touya never finds out. it stays a secret between reader and tomura forever. tomura would never, ever reveal this secret to touya, because he knows how much trouble (and potential DANGER!) the reader would be in if he did, and he despite how selfish and impulsive he is, he loves her too much to do that.

why doesn’t tomura do anything to fight for the mc?

because he knows it isn’t worth it, he knows he’ll lose, and he knows how dangerous touya can get. that’s almost an automatic death sentence for him, especially since he was the one reader originally cheated on touya with!! truthfully, he’s lucky he’s still breathing at all (which is really all thanks to the fact that touya works for tomura’s father, and touya knows if he kills tomura, then he will be killed in turn by tomura’s father, or will spend the rest of his + reader’s life frantically on the run). but overall he knows that the reader is in love with touya, and him attempting any fight is both pointless and hazardous!!

does she love tomura back?

no, she just cares very deeply for him. there is definitely a potential for love to sprout there just in general between those two characters because they get along so well, but by this time in the story she’s in much too deep with touya (because she does genuinely love touya!). in this piece, reader also feels guilt for having left tomura so suddenly and then never even attempting to contact him again. she feels like they both need closure, and she kind of pities him in a way. but she sincerely cares for him and decided to seize the coincidental opportunity when it presented itself!!

hi Sunny. first of all i'm gonna say i love your story and your editing style so much! your blog is goals like literally. i need an advice if you don't mind. you always find such amazing angles for your pictures while mine are so boring. any tips or tricks you can share?

HI thank you so much ;-; sooooo i’ve been thinking about this question the past couple of times i went in game, trying to figure out how to describe how i take pictures. for one thing i live in tab mode lmao. meaning you press the tab button on your keyboard to go into camera mode and get all these sexy angles and super zoom and stufffff. i almost always zoom in super far idk why. so there’s one tip. i honestly just play around with going up and down with the q and e keys (i think?) until i find angles i like. i take a lottttt of pictures with so many different angles just so i have a lot to choose from. basically i try to focus on different things in each picture in order to get a mix of the most diverse and dynamic shots possible. you just need to experiment and get creative. i know that’s the most vague advice ever but really just try a new angle that you’ve never considered before and i bet you’ll get cool results. an interesting setting is also the biggest factor, because certain objects and their placements will give you interesting results.

i honestly want to print out your reaction pic to that one post and just hang it on my wall, put it in my heart locket necklace, stamp it on people's faces, start an email thread with it. i love it.

how do you get your sims' facial expressions to line up with your scenes? I feel like my sims' faces are never right :(

tbh i just use a lot of the same neutral poses...my go-to’s are @helgatisha‘s poses lol. they’re the easiest to work with when i do just plain talking scenes, and often i tweak my sims’ eyebrows and mouths with the liquify tool if i want them to look a bit more concerned, sad, mad, happy, etc., it works like a charm!! i also tend to play around with angles, you’d be surprised how much a different angle can enhance a scene.

UM YES LMAO because i didn’t even know you could have separate saves until after i started the flashbacks lmao i’m...a noob. i don’t want separate saves anyway because 1) it’s too much of a hassle switching back and forth and 2) it gets too confusing for me and i’d be afraid of overwriting one save with another and NOPE too much anxiety for that soooo yeah there’s three santis in my game: child, teen and adult lmfao (fun fact: teen santi’s name is literally just Lil Santi)
