Can you maybe write 5 good reasons to wach good omens? I want to watch it but i just can't seem to focus

Sure thing, Nonnie!

So well. I could probably give you about 500 Good Reasons to watch Good Omens (and the original document that I am picking and choosing from is in the quadruple digits by now) but they might not all necessarily apply to you, and you said you had trouble focusing, so that's what I shall concentrate on.

1. It's a great length. It clocks in at 5 and a half hours on the bingeclock, so you can indeed watch it all at once on a weekend, but it also comes in six delightful bite-sized portions, and while there's the occasional cliff-hanger, they are still at good natural stopping points, so if you want to watch it one episode at a time? You can.

2. It's engaging. Actually, engaging isn't the word I wanted to use, but english doesn't seem to HAVE a word. The German word for boring roughly puts itself to gether as an adjective version of a long while. langweilig. long-while-ish. or -y, perhaps. Something that appears longer than it is. It, as such, has a direct opposite - kurzweilig, short-while-y - something that appears shorter than it is. To me, it's very balanced that way, storytelling-wise. It lingers where it should, giving you a moment to breathe, but doesn't meander needlessly. It keeps your attention without rushing you to the point you feel out of breath when the episode is over.

3. The craft is, artistically speaking, fantastic. No matter what part you focus on - costumes, acting. props, cinematography, the soundtrack - it's all gorgeous, I've yet to hear a single complaint from any field whatsoever. As such it also has a great rewatch value, so even if you need something to keep your focus split, you'll always find something worth on the rewatch.

4. It's pretty much the best book-to-screen adaptation I have ever come across.

One of the writers was heavily involved in the creation, and he also put careful thought into what the other would have wanted (GNU Sir Terry!) which means even if it's not always perfectly faithful to the source material itself, it still is faithful to the SPIRIT of it, and the changes that were made, I feel, serve to enhance instead of alter it.

You remember the fandom's collective frustration with Dumbledore yelling at Harry in the Goblet of Fire movie? The way they didn't even bother to make Harry's eyes match his mother's AT ALL? That won't happen.

But while it is based on a book, it can be enjoyed APART from the book.

Did you love the book? GREAT! The show will give you new things to love and known jokes to smile about.Never read it? ALSO GREAT! You can enjoy it on its own, or consider it your gateway drug.

5. It's Fandom-friendly, and the fandom, as far as I've found, is friendly.

Neil Gaiman will happily call his own thoughts on the characters headcanons, Michael Sheen has openly admitted to reading fanfic to prepare for the role and regularly retweets art he hasn't even been tagged in, and Georgia Tennant indulges fandom's collective thirst for David Tennant in an incredibly graceful way. The main pairing fic concentrates on can be read as anything from queerplatonic cuddlebuddies to kinky sexventurers and everyone happily cheers each other on, everyone just delights in it. There might be some drama somewhere, and there might be something eventually, but so far I've found a lot of people be very mutually supportive, happily enjoying each other's interpretation even if it doesn't match their own.

And, Bonus: It's HAPPY. So much media lately has been about making it hurt and making it edgy and making it dark and twisty and while all of those have their place in art, it's just a much needed breath of fresh air, at least for me, to have a story that turns out unequivocally happy.

Movie Nigth

Pairing: Tom Holland x Reader

Warning: language i guess, cute af maybe way to cheese in some parts :)

A/N: This idea came to my mind like 2 weeks ago, like at 3 am when i couldn't sleep. I hope you guys like it! Xx

Summary: Movie night with the Holland's every Friday, a tradition for the last 5 years, since today something more was added to the tradition and to your life

I just arrived to the Holland's house, my second home...

I got out of the uber and i saw Harry sitting outside, on the stairs "Hello, Harold" i said while i walked closer to him "Hi Y/N" he said as he standed up "I though that you couldn't come" he said as we walked inside the house "But you waited for me at the stairs like always" i said when i felt a cute little redhead hug me "Y/N!" He said with a huge smile "I missed you Pad" i said while hugging him back "i saw you last week dump ass" i just laughed and smiled "but i didn't saw you all the times that i came over this week!"

Trying to know if Tom was back

Suddenly i heard a noise coming out of the kitchen, then i saw that body, i just runned towards him "Tom!" I said as I runned to his arms "I though that you would be back next week!" He looked at me and said "Surpriseeee!!" I hugged him tighter and he gave me a soft kiss "we are here!" Paddy shouted, and we broke the kiss and laughed

Some day he will stop doing that

"I missed you, love. More than anything and anyone" i looked up at him, and laughed "Yeah, and i will belive that you missed me more than your princess Tessa" i said when suddenly Tessa came out of the kitchen "Ohhhh! I did not saw that coming" me neither kid Harry said and i laughed "If you don't want to belive me..." Tom said as he went next to Tessa "Whatever you say Thomas! Were are your parents and Sam??" I asked, looking at the guys in front of me "Mom and Dad went for the food, Sam went to pick up his gf" Paddy said exited

I know that this kid is exited about the food, but i don't care

I looked at him and laughed "Ohh! I see! Now you like her more than me!? Okay Patrick... now you can go to hell and your birthday gift too!" i said as i turned and hugged Tom, acting like if i was crying it looked so fake but anyway "1. You will always be my favorite, just don't tell Sam that 2. Patrick!? I told you that i am Paddy! 3. A gift? Can i get it!? and 4. I know that you aren't crying" he said, and we all laughed "Yep, but i didn't bought it, sorry :(" i said and he looked mad at me "You liar!" He said when he realised that there was no gift and started running me around the house

I love this kidd, can my kids be like him??

We just watched the first movie, it was 'Me before you' in case you want to know today the girls choose the movie, and right now we are looking for the second one "This one" Elysia said *elysia is sam"s gf irl* Nikky looked at me saying like hate that movie and i said "Nop, other one" Nikky smiled at me thanks

I could hear Tom and Dom laughing in the back and Sam saying "Can they stop bullying her"

You know that we love her kidd!

I wanted to laugh so baldy of what was happening behind us but they couldn't realise that i hearing "This one!" Nikky said, i laughed and said "Really!? Again!?" I saw the way that Elysia looked at me, like saying don't reply to her like that or you will be in trouble "C'mon Y/N! Your bf is in the movie, correction both of your boyfriends are in the movie and Harry" i turned to the guys as said "The impossible for the million time guys??" They all laughed at looked at Nikky "Mom, we always see the same movie... can we wach other thing please??" Harry said as Paddy jumped and said "And i don't like the fact thay I'm not in the movie, and my brothers are! I'm actually tired of seeing their faces!" Nikky opened his eyes, really big "Patrick Holland! Don't talk like that!"

We know that he is joking

"And ok guys... other movie will be" everybody was happy and Nikki just rolled her eyes "Thank you so much, i love you, i was already done with that movie, and don't forget that I'm in it! I own you one, no! We all own you one! You the best!" Tom said as he jumped out of the sofa, came closer to me and pick me up un his arms, like in the just married way, and gave a really cute and soft kiss "Stop!!" Paddy said

See! He always does that!

We laughed at the youngest person in the room "Let them Paddy, they are so cutee!" Nikki said and Tom put me down on the floor and said "Mother!" I laughed "Then stop being cute, if you don't want me to talk like that"

I stand, and love the best mother ever

Tom sat next to me on the floor, with his head on my shoulder, playing with my hair, while we were trying to chosse the next movie

The second movie ended, we decided to watch 'Sixteen Candles', a classic, Paddy's reaction on some part were just so damm hilarious

For nigth we usually see 2 movies, then all the guys go back to their rooms, i go with Tom, and later i go back home, while the guys have a sleepover in the living room.

Rigth now it's 11 pm.

Tom and i were cleaning the living, Paddy was changing into his pijamas, Harry washing the dishes, and Sam saying goodbye to Elysia "Do you have something to do tomorrow early??" Tom asked knowing my answer "Weekend are to sleep and eat Thomas" he laughed and just nodded.

And that's what i do on my weekends basically

Once all the guys were downstairs Sam said "Did you ask her" Tom looked up and said "Yep, she's completely free" Paddy smiled and Harry said "Who aks her??" Paddy jumped and said "Me!! Pleseee!!" I looked at all of them confused, they just nodded "Ok, Y/N... We have known you since always, at least me, for how long guys?" Paddy asked his older brothers

15 years of friendship, 10 of being like my second family, 5 of being family aka me dating Thomas

"15 years" Harry said "they have known you for 15 years, me for 14 because of obvious reasons. You had being coming to this house almost every Friday for the last 5 years, and we all were talking, and we thought that now that you are more family than before, because you are dating Tom, is the rigth moment to ask you to stay over every Friday, be part of our sleepover" Paddy said, while all the Holland guys looked at me waiting for my answer

Wait, what!?

"You guys are offering me to stay, a Friday!? Friday sleepovers are a guys thing that you have always done!" Tom hold my hand and said "Yes, love. We are telling you that you can stay, i mean you are family. And Friday sleepovers aren't a guys thing, is a family thing, we don't even know why we didn't asked you before, so here we are... Will you stay??" He asked at me while looking at my eyes

"First i wanna know something" they looked confused at each other "What??" Sam said "It's this because Harrison isn't here??" They all looked shook "Tbh we didn't even though that, but no, because this is for now untill the day we die, with or without Harrison" Sam said, i looked to all the guys "Ofc guys! I will stay"

This sounds like such a big deal, and it is, it isn't something stupid. This isn't the fist time that i sleepover in this house, but on Friday, Never! How many time i wanted to have a date with Tom, or celebrate an anniversary, and we couldn't because it was FRIDAY. This is like the moment when they are all together, something that almost never happenes lately, that's why this is so important, and why i was so shocked

I went upstairs with Tom, to his room, once i was i laid on his bed next to him "Can you give some clothes, Tommy??" He came closer and kissed me, for the first time in the day it wasn't a soft kiss, i was a really passionate kiss, suddenly he broke it "What the hell?" I said confused "I have to give you some clothes, and that's hard" i was confused "why?? You can give that hoodie and i would be happy with that" he looked at me with a cute smile and said "I know that, love. But rn it isn't just us, there will be my siblings" he said with a smile and turned back to his closet

He gave me hoodie and some sweet pants, i changed, waited for him to change and them we went downstairs, finding what i always see, the living with mattresses waiting for people to sleep there, jumped in on the mattress, scaring Paddy "Can you please never do that AGAIN!?" He said turning all red, so cuteeee "Okay padster, but just bc I'm your fav" i said and Tom in the back laughed

"I wanna know something, something that I've always wanted to know" Paddy said while eating his ice cream "Ask" Sam said whit his mouth full of ice cream "How dis you guys meet??" I reased my eyebrow "Well I meet Sam on mom's belly, and Tom once we came out of your mother belly" Harry said with a proud smile, idiot, "Mmm you know what i mean!" Paddy yelled "Well, we meet Y/N thanks to 4 year old Harry, the idiot broke her candy, and 6 year old Y/N got kinda mad" Tom said and i laughed remembering the day "Yep, i got so mad with Harry that went close to Nikki and to tell her that i needed a new candy or something like that" all of us were laughing remembering that "After that, whenever we when to that park, we found her, later we realised that Tom and her went to the same school and that's how the friendship started" Sam ended the story

"And that's the story of how i stated hating Harry!" I said whith a smile "And that's the moment when i felt for her" Tom said holding my hand and rubbing it "Liar! You always say that was when mom passed away, and until my grandma was back i lived here for like 3 moths. And thay was 10 years ago no 15!" I said acting like offended.

I really don't care about my mom, i mean, i miss her, she was my mom, but she was a bich so...

"Ohh! Yeah! Confused dates!" We said while playing with Tessa "Idiot" Harry said "Talks" Tom said, Paddy, Sam and I were waiting for the 'fight' "Shut up, and thank me!" Tom opened his eyes big "Why should i thank you??" Harry laughed "because without me, there would have never existed a you and Y/N" Harry said. Good point Harold. "Yeah... you are rigth" Tom said

"What time is it?" Sam asked "4:50" Tom replied "Let's go then!" Paddy said, as he jumped out and went to the backyard. I looked at the guys confused "Wanna watch the sunrise, love?" Tom said giving me a hand to stand up.

We were outside, Harry took his camera and started tooking photos, telling Sam and Paddy what to do, while i was stand behind them, holding hands with sponge bob aka Tom

"You are prettier" I looked confused at Tom "i didn't said anything" he smiled "but your face talks by itself" he said while putting his arms around me "Harry! Took some picture of us!" He said while holding my hand and running.

He stared running around the garden, idk how or when he made a move and pull me into his arms, like the just married pose, just like he did it the kitchen "I want you to be mine forever" he whispered on my ear.

I tuned back to Tom and saw him sat in one leg, with a little box in his had, tears started falling, happy tears ofc "Hi" he said with cute smile "I know that you are only 21 and I'm just 22, that we are really young for this, but i don't care, i don't care anymore... Y/N i have known your for 15 years, i have loved you for 10 years and we have being officially dating for 5 years, i guess that the 5 is our lucky number" i just laughed at him "Y/N, you are the most amazing person in this world, and i love you more than anything and anyone, i can't belive that I'm doing this... Y/N Y/LN would you make me the happiest man on earth with just a simple word"

"Would you marry me??" He said and all i did was fell on the floor and nod, i looked up at him and he was crying to "Hell yes!! Tom!!" I said and we just hugged "I love you idiot" i said and a little laugh came out of his mouth

Daizo Watanabe’s Booth

Story under cut, pt 1

Daizo Watanabe turned to a mini fridge Saya had supplied and gathered his ingredients. Against the outside wall of his booth stood Saya, leaning with her arms over her chest. Her eyes were only on Ray. The disgust on her face was evident as he watched him move so effortlessly. Finally she had had enough and she walked around to see Daizo hard at work.

"Atleast look like you're happy..." Saya frowned, getting a /shut up/ look from her friend.

"You're the one that should be back here, not me." Daizo stated as he mixed some things in a bowl. Adding a pinch of this and that as he continued.

"Daizo..." Saya began.

"Your dad's just trying to control you. Why do you let him? If you wanna cook, then cook. It doesn't have to be so serious all the time." Daizo argued.

"You don't get it! I know I could join and just ignore him, but I the last thing I want is him being upset with me. His opinion matter's too much Daizo, I want him to be proud." Saya leaned into the small wall separating her and Daizo, waching his movements. They weren't as relaxed and fluent as Ray's, but they still made her proud. Daizo didn't respond for quite a while, making Saya nervous. "Say something..." She requested. Daizo stopped what he was doing, looking up at her.

"Your dad's a fucking asshole, okay? Who cares about what he thinks. I get he's your dad, but you're literally not doing something that could make you extremely happy just to make sure he doesn't cry himself to sleep at night." Daizo had thought this scenario over many more times than Saya could ever imagine, but his response was something she had completely expected.

"It's not that big of a deal, Daizo. I just didn't want Ray to win this stupid compeition, okay? And I couldn't join to beat him myself. That's the only reason you're doing this. He doesn't deserve the reward. God, he's so spoiled, he doesn't deser-"

"Spoiled?" Daizo's eyes widened, looking at Saya in complete shock. "Do you even hear yourself right now?" He asked, genuinely curious as to if his friend had gone deaf. "What the hell did he ever even do to you? I mean, I'm all for hating people, they're disgusting. But he seems to mind his own business. You've never even explained what the hell he did!"

"I don't know, okay! He just.... annoys me! His whole /thing/ annoys me! Cooking is supposed to be serious! It's not suppose to be something that people joke about and laugh about and have fun doing! You can't make amazing food that way! And for some reason, him /and/ his father can't get that through their thick ass skulls." Saya was clearly getting worked up and Daizo continued on his dish. He simply shook his head, not really sure how to disagree with Saya. He didn't want to upset her, that was never his intension. Instead, he was upsetting himself with the entire situation. In that moment he decided it was best to drop it and just focus on what he was making. Once he was done and this competition was over, he could forget about the whole thing and he and Saya could go back to normal. As he cooked, a few curious students came up to his booth, eyeing the decorations.

"These are so fancy, Saya! I love them!" One student stated. Saya turned, her entire mood changing the second Daizo's booth recieved a compliment. "Thank you! They're imported from Italy." She ran her fingers through her hair. "Do you have anything ready yet?" Another student inquired. Just as the student finished the sentence, Daizo whipped around with a few plates with tiny samples on them. A larger group gathered, each student grabbing a bite. Each tongue was met with a sweet, over powering taste of cinnamon. You could tell from their faces immediately that their taste buds were pleased.

"Daizo, I had no idea you could cook!" A female student blushed behind a few of her friends. Saya darted eyes at her causing the girl to look away quickly. "Dude, this is awesome! You gotta give me the recipe to this!" Some guys in the back cheered him on all the while Daizo remained quiet and focused on creating more samples. This continued until Saya felt a familiar precense behind her. "What Shouta." She spoke plainly.

"Dammit!" Shouta whined, sliding his way next to Saya and watching Daizo work. "How'd you know it was me?" He asked.

"Because I could smell your stupidity a mile away, freak." Saya refused to make eye contanct.

"God, why you gotta be so mean. I just wanna try your boyfriends cooking, geeze." Shouta ran his fingers through his hair, while banging his other hand on the wall infront of him as if to ring a bell.

"He's not my boyfriend!"

"I'm not her boyfriend!"

The two spoke almost in unison, causing a burst of laughter to break out of Shouta's mouth.

"Holy shit, okay, okay. I just wanna try some cinnamon. I can smell it. Gimme." Shouta held out his hand, recieving the tiny plate that Daizo presented him. Taking a bite, Shouta was instantly amazed at just how incredible the dish tasted. "Dude, no way! /You/ made this?!" Shouta was completely shocked. "So you /did/ teach him a thing or two, Saya, damn!" Shouta nudged Saya's arm proudly, Saya quickly brushed his 'germs' off her arm. "Kiko, this shit's good, man!" Shouta announced, causing Akihiko to look over. He stood a few feet away, seemingly waiting for his friend. Shouta finished, wiping his hands together. "Alright man, I have to hand it to you. That was way better than I ever thought it'd be. Wait till I tell Ray." Shouta started backing away, receiving a nod from Daizo.

"Yes! Tell Ray! Tell Ray all you want how amazing Daizo's food is. Someone's gotta break it to him. Might as well be his bestfriend." Saya yelled after Shouta. "Yep!" Shouta replied while he and Kiko made their way down the walk way. Saya sat, her chin rested in her palm, watching as Daizo continued. Maybe he truly did have a chance at this thing. Maybe her idea would work and she could really see him take this. Her heart beat faster at the thought. Knowing that finally, something that Ray wanted more than anything, would be out of his reach. Finally, she would have something he didn't.

Gurtenfestival is placed in the capital city of Switzerland in Berne on the hill called Gurten. A proper citizen of Berne would call it „Güsche“. Now thanks to the advent calendar of Ticketcorner I’m able to go to the festival for 4 days and have some VIP amenities available too. I didn’t know beforehand how grateful I would be for that special treatment.

VIP area

Day 1

This year the festival started on Wednesday instead of Thursday. But still so many people queued up to get their ticket changed into a wristband. After that they had to wait another 1 ½ hrs to get to the Gurtenbähnli to bring them up the hill. Lucky me I could jump the queue and walk straight in. The VIP area is really nice and on Day 1 there weren’t too many people there either.

Rag’N’Bone Man

First main act was Rag’N’Bone Man who sang again very well. Although I couldn’t really hear that much because of the chatter of the people around me. I really don’t understand how people can spend that much money and waste it on chit chat. We went on to see Nothing but Thieves who were good but I cannot put my finger on what was missing in their performance so that I cannot say: „Ohh I would see them again“.

Royal Blood was the next act on the mainstage but they weren’t my favourite either so we chilled in the lounge area. Unfortunately it was really cold and windy and very uncomfortable. So we were glad when we could walk over to the tent stage where we saw an amazing Jack Garratt. He looks like a kid who didn’t get what he wanted but God he’s good and he is really funny too! He started to play very famous songs by Justin Timberlake or Michael Jackson and then stopped. It was kinda frustrating but also very funny. At the same time Dabu Fantastic a Swiss band was playing the forest stage. Since I knew how good they were I preferred to see someone I haven’t seen before. We only heard the last bit when we had to leave the tent to be early for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

As always the two American lads put on a great show and the audience loved them. However I liked them better the last time I saw them at Hallenstadion when they had the full show going. At the end they held their traditional dance off with two random people from the crowd and wow they were really really good. Macklemore said it was one of the best dance off’s they’d ever seen and I have to agree. To finish the night we watched a bit of From Kid who were okay but couldn’t really catch my attention and so we headed home soon after.

Day 2

Pegasus

I was very looking forward to see Pegasus after I’ve seen them a week before on the ferry on lake Zurich. Again they didn’t disappoint. At 3.30 they had a lot of people in front of the mainstage and had them dancing and singing and waving and jumping. They are just an incredible live band! We then headed to a band from Zurich called Faber. They are Swiss but sing in German which is quite special. Next act on the mainstage was Lo & Leduc. I was really excited to see them in their home city at this brilliant festival. They were blown away by how many people turned up. They told us that they played one of the bars, then the Waldbühne, then the Zeltbühne and now the mainstage. It was an awesome 1 ½ hrs set until they finally had to make way for the next act.

We heard the last bit of Nemo who is a very young Swiss German Rapper but I really like his upbeat feel-good sound. It was finally time for Imagine Dragons. I’ve also already seen them at Hallenstadion like Macklemore & Ryan Lewis the day before and I also liked that concert better than this Gurtenfestival appearance. Maybe it was because I stood in the VIP area and not very close to the stage where I think the people had good fun. Funny enough after what felt like 20mins they turned off the lights completely on stage and for a very long time too. People thought it was already the usual walk off-walk on-encore part but I was like this is way too early. It turned out that it was some kind of power cut as the singer Dan Reynolds couldn’t hear anything in his in-ears. Few minutes later the show went on and like Coldplay’s bell I heard the drum sound in “Radioactive” really clearly for the first time.

To round off Day 2 we decided to see Trust. This band has already very famous band members such as Stress and Gabriel Spahni from Pegasus. Stress was actually singing which is quite different to what he usually does. In the end the tired eyes won and we headed down.

Day 3

Lucky Chops

Unfortunately I had to work on day 3 so I only got up the hill for the 2nd main act Züri West. I thought the crowd would react similar to Lo & Leduc and create an incredible atmosphere but that wasn’t the case. The band didn’t interact with the audience and didn’t sing all their famous hits. Overall everyone was very disappointed. My concert buddy had the joy to see Lucky Chops before this main act. And she really liked them. They’re an instrumental band and good fun!

Casper

We also caught a bit of the performance of LP but we still don’t fancy her live voice a lot. Casper’s set must have been very good because when we reached the main stage the whole crowd did the usual rap/hip hop moves by moving one arm up and down. From my experience Hip Hop concerts have the best atmosphere. We headed to the tent stage next where we saw a German band called SDP. They had a punk rock feel and some very racy lyrics. I quite liked their performance and at one point they had huge beach balls bouncing off the audiences’ hands.

To finish this evening Fritz Kalkbrenner sang behind his turn tables. He started with: “Hallo ich bin Fritz und ich fang dann jetzt mal an!”. I’ve never heard a funnier start. He continued being funny throughout the set and he seemed very down to earth to me. I realized that his music is not my kinda cup of tea but I did enjoy his set and many other late night party dancers would agree.

Day 4

The day I was anticipating the most and it turned out to be my favourite day! Somehow there weren’t a lot of people anymore even though it was a Saturday or maybe we caught the best time to get food and found good spots at concerts. Anyway it was a very chilled fun day.

We started front row with Saint Motel on the main stage. What an awesome band! They have good up-tempo music to dance to. The saxophone was great but my highlight was when the lead singer walked through the crowd to the sound tower on the other side and climbed up. It looked very funny. Another highlight and a speciality of this festival is the dancing security. You won’t find any grim unfriendly looking security here. They help you in any way they can and even start dance moves.

Veronica Fusaro on Waldbühne

Since Kate Tempest was late we decided to see Veronica Fusaro also a Swiss singer on the Waldbühne. What a wonderful setting. The stage is facing a steep part of the Gurten hill so people can sit down or even stand and everyone can see the artists down there. Veronica has a beautiful voice and good songs – perfect for the occasion, a hot sunny summer day. Close to the end we headed for Kate Tempest on the Zeltbühne – big mistake. We didn’t like her at all. She has a weird way of rapping and her songs seemed to me like she was trying to convince me to join a cult or something similar.

Seven was absolutely brilliant. He made everyone dancing, singing and clapping. It was an amazing show by awesome musicians giving their all to us. They visibly enjoyed playing and this is automatically transferred onto the audience. 1 1/2hrs of pure joy! Thank you for that.

Beginner

Unfortunately we couldn’t see Asgeir an Islandic musician but he is supposed to be very good. Next up were Beginner a hip hop combo from Hamburg who have been successful for years. They created a beautiful colourful set on stage and also gave a 110% on stage. What I personally liked was that they were actually promoting the next act Marteria as well. There was no visible competition between them. My favourite words from Jan Delay was: “We need all your energy – oh wait no – you need energy for Marteria too. This is what you’re going to do. Give us all your energy, then load it up again with all those energy stations around this place and be ready to give all your energy to Marteria again.” Loved it J

Death by Chocolate was too rocky for us so we went to see Walk off the Earth. Brilliant decision. They are an incredible live band. We loved their own songs and the covers they did. Awesome musicians who I would like to see again.

Finally, the act I was waiting for, took the stage at 12.30pm. Marteria absolutely rocked the 20’000 people at Gurtenfestival. I have no words to describe this. Before every song he said “Alle Hände” and all hands went up. We danced, we sang, we rapped, we jumped, we enjoyed every minute of this 1 1/2hrs set. During his song “Marteria Girl” he asked the guys to take all the Marteria Girls on their shoulders. At that exact moment I knew I needed to find a tall, big strong guy who will join me for Marteria’s concert in Zurich on Dec, 9th 17! J During the last song it was total “Abriss” which you can translate to “Go totally mental”. Marteria took off his shirt and asked everyone to do so as well and swing it above their heads. (Me being a pro I took a scarf with me… Hello I’m still a girl ;-)) During the final final 20 secs he created a mosh pit and on his commando everyone jumped into it.

The party went on all night until the sun greeted us with an amazing sunrise which looked like painted by Bob Ross. The clouds turned purple and Marteria’s biggest hit so far “Wir bleiben wach bis die Wolken wieder lila sind” came true. Just a brilliant finish to a wonderful 4 day Gurtenfestival in Berne with amazing weather. I have to say thank you to Ticketcorner for this incredible prize and to Gurtenfestival for these many special moments with great artists and to my lovely concert buddy.
