So Tech is alive- probably in the hands of Hemlock(bitch) which isn't GREAT but it's the best we have-

How do we explain the broken goggles?? Only the glass is shattered

An easy explanation is "He fell!!!! He obviously broke them in the crash" which is- fine, I guess, but its not really accounting for his the fact that his entire body fell- probably back first which means the straps would have snapped no questions asked

(and realistically his neck would have broken and he would have died but since that's Not What Happened we're ignoring that)

But they didn't break. The actual lenses themselves are in almost perfect condition, look-

I know it's a pretty grainy picture, but the goggles are intact. The little blinker he always has on to record things hasnt even got a dent in it. There's no way the fall did this.

So what happened? How did they break? How did Hemlock get his hands on them?

My running theory is he managed to survive the fall, but was later hunted down/found by TK troopers and in his state couldn't fend all of them off. Bet he took a few out before his shit got rocked, though

My other theory is Hemlock was the one who found Tech, and given he has a different(probably prosthetic/metal) hand, he probably got knocked tf out. I'm imagining that like Thrawn in Rebels, Hemlock isn't just a scientist who relies on guns and gasses. I bet he could throw a punch or two

He could probably swing hard enough to shatter glass, especially if his gloved hand is metal

But really if Tech is alive, he's most likely going to turn into a faceless purge trooper and we'll never really know what happened to him. Or worse, we just get little references about how his body was used for science, pushing Echo's (final) arc further along.

You know I'm still a bit curious about the items Ostromir stole to take on Zadd.

The cube itself seems to be clearcut Exalted tech, whether reengineered or not I cannot say, given that its activation gives off a similar teleportation effect that is heavily reminiscent of Notha's means of teleportation.

Although clearly this Magesterium cube is a more limited and lesser version than whatever Exalted alterations Notha made to herself given that it was clearly one time use item whereas Notha could seemingly pull off her teleportation as many times as she wanted.

I am intrigued by what those golden globe things were that Ostromir brought along with him though. Were they used to power the cube? Were they even used at all?

Finally, there's the star saber. Evidently, its got to be soulforged if the little red soul ball was any indication as well as its shared namesake with the Delta Soul and Star visor catalysts were any indication.

By the looks of it I'd say the Magesterium were trying the bring out the best potential of soul forging though what has me curious is how many of these "relics" do they still have on hand.

Someone pointed something out to me regarding the Unbread Twins and I can’t stop thinking about it.

If you look at the Unbread Twins overworld sprite, their shirts are white. If you look at the models for their jacket they’re are wearing white shirts too. So, possibly, the Unbread Twins shirts are supposed to be white/off-white, but whatever texture they overlayed on top made it more yellow.

I personally think they made the shirt color change in the boss art last minute and/or the overworld shirts are white to better contrast against Breaven. I think the yellow looks better regardless but I might need to draw them with white shirts just to see how it looks…

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? these books unbanned cards (unless otherwise stated) get you access to each library's complete libby/cloud library collection, no hoopla/kanopy/physical copies included.

ebook collections are expensive to maintain (many american libraries have annual fees for non-residents because of this) but because of an uptick in book banning (particularly brutal in mississippi last summer) larger libraries have opened their doors more, which is very kind of them!

i've used my seattle card for the last several months and their libby collection has about three times the books that my local library does, which is wonderful for accessing more niche titles or skipping a waiting list. would love to hear of similar ebook initiatives internationally!

i use library extension (firefox/chrome/edge compatible) to check all my collections (+ the internet archive) at once, works for several different countries highly recommend it.

spotify seems to be offering 15hrs/month of audiobook listening to premium subscribers and while that does seem useful if you're already paying and are after a new release with a long library waitlist, libraries are better for everything else.
