Alright let's try this Soulmate body switch AU I'm also attempting this whole "make a tag" thing... bare with me, ive only actually used this app for like 4 days now im gonna go with "RayMakesSoulmates" for now... uhm, idk what else to go with uhhhhh yeah, names Ray btw...

Okay here we go. The idea of switching bodies is something a bit strange to me so let me make this work for me.

Basically it happens once a year after you either turn 17 or meet your soulmate. If its the latter then there has to be alot of turmoil and confusion on one side to trigger the first switch because it does not happen at the first encounter. However after the first encounter you'll sometimes have little blurry dreams that are in fact core memories of your soulmate. But theyre always too blurry to point out who's involved and sounds are too muffled to pin point any specific noises words or what have you.

Now, the dreams don't happen every night but they happen often enough that you are made aware that you have met your soulmate at some point recently.

So after Zuko visits the south and they begin their cat and mouse game around the world Zuko often has blurry dreams of white with black falling what he thinks is people screaming and what he knows is muffled crying. While Sokka has random dreams of what he thinks is someone moving away into the darkness and someone screaming out to them but he can't figure out what they're saying. Another dream he has is a blurry glow of bright blue and crying. There's also one that shows up more often than the other two, its when he sees what he believes is someone moving towards him saying something, but its muffled, then a bright light and muffled screaming and crying.

However after Ba Sing Se Sokka has a dream that's clear and vivid, not muffled and not blurry. After he takes a moment from shooting up to a sitting position he realizes that this is not a dream, he's switched bodies. Standing up and moving the blankets off of him he looks around and sees the there are fire nation items everywhere, it looks like he's in a royal bedroom. He elects to keep calm as he moves towards where he thinks is a bathroom, he is correct and when he looks into the mirror he freezes. His heart drops into his stomach. Sokka can hardly believe what he's looking at. Staring back at him is not his face, but Zuko's. He reaches up to touch the scar on Zuko's face. While yes he has control over his body and he doesn't exactly know how to act 'firenation' let alone 'fire nation royalty' he stands straight. "This won't last longer than 3 hours." He reminds himself

"What won't last longer than three hours?" Azula's voice breaks through

Instantly on edge and irritated Sokka- ahem Zuko turns to Azula "what do you want Azula?" He says in a voice thats much less irritated, theyre siblings right? So they have to be chummy right

"Oo! You sound so much less angry!" She muses "disgusting, anyways, Mai wanted me to let you know she's leaving today"

Why would he care about that? Oh they must be friends? Maybe they're dating? Okay, don't screw this up "uh, okay"

"Aw don't be so sad Zuzu~ you two would have never worked out anyways, her and Ty Lee switched bodies just three days ago. It was honestly was kind of amusing watching her string you along" This is not how siblings normally talk to eachother. He just glared at Azula "alright alright sheesh, ill leave you alone" he found something to write on and quickly jotted down the conversation because if he was given that information Zuko would need it.

Meanwhile Zuko shot awake and found himself lying next to appa Katara and Aang, so he is alive huh? Confused he figured he must be dreaming until he realized his vision was clear and nothing was muffled. He was below deck on a fire nation ship. He paused a moment before he stood and noticed Sokka's boomerang beside him. He lifed it and saw Sokka in the reflection. His reaction seemed to mirror(haha get it) Sokka's when he saw Zuko in the mirror. But he dropped the boomerang and it made a loud bang which woke the other two up "Sokka what are you doing, the sun is barely up"

He paused and cleared his throat. Okay, sure he's been chasing them he needs to not blow this "uh, sorry, nightmare"

Katara shifted and turned to him, a genuine look of worry in her eyes "do you want to talk about it?" She asked in a tone that reminded him of his mother. Genuine love.

He forced himself not to tear up at the memory and just shook his head "no, I honestly can't remember it. Just scared me is all" the hesitation in Katara's expression before she responded was strange to him

"Alright, if you say so, do you mind going and asking dad to change the course? We need to stop and get supplies"

His hesitation and expression probably made her realize what happened "okay, youre not Sokka right now are you?" He froze and nodded slowly "alright, you dont have to tell me who you are, but I'll help you through the motions, Aang and I switched back in Ba Sing Se, that was the day when you questioned why I said I'd fly around, er- or that was when Sokka questioned me" okay she was a little more accepting of this than he thought.

"Uhm, okay, yeah, right, uhm, I don't want to blow this so can you just uh show me around? I'm sure Sokka knows all the people he's- oh agni he's gonna meet my dad" zuko internally cringed.

In that moment it seemed to click with Katara "alright, so you're telling me your Zuko"

Zuko flinched and backed up against the wall "look I dont know what you want me to do about this, but I promise you that I'm not going to ruin anything, I know I messed up, hell Sokka's probably noticing that my family doesn't work like yours does. I've been so confused my whole life okay, I'm sorry I betrayed you in Ba Sing Se, my sister has a way of manipulating me. I just hope he doesn't get hurt, he probably doesn't know he needs to keep his mouth shut in my family." Zuko was panicking when Katara reached out

"Zuko, zuko what do you mean?" Her voice shaky

"Look I cant tell you everything, I cant tell you my life story not right now, I need to get through with this. If we meet again, which I hope we do, ill tell you then. But right now, please just show me what Sokka goes through day to day. I know he's not gonna like what happens on the other end, I just hope it doesn't go too bad."

Katara nodded "alright well. Let me walk you around and let you learn the peoples names, ill just say hi to them and say their names." She paused "but first, tell me about your mother, i dont know if I believe it anymore"

He sighed before telling her the entire story.

Meanwhile at the palace Sokka was sitting in a war meeting knowing to keep his mouth shut unless spoken to. He didnt want to set people off or let them know he wasn't actually Zuko. The topic of the earth kingdome came up and Ozai turned to him "Zuko, you've spent time among the Earth kingdom citizens. What information do you have?"

"Uh, the Earth kingdoms citizens are strong willed and hopeful, as long as they have hope they will not yeild"

"Hmmm, I see, we need to crush their hope"

"Well, thats not what I-"

"I think we should take their precious hope and burn it to the ground!" Azula cuts in

"Yes, yes good idea Azula" Oh no

About an hour after the meeting the switch flipped, Sokka made notes about everything that he found important in time before the switch was over.

After they switched back Sokka found his sister and grabbed her shoulders "Katara, I have to tell you something, I just got back from a body swit-"

"And your soulmate is Zuko? I know, he cried when I was nice to him, what happened on your end?"

"Well, his whole family is mean to him"

"Figured"

"I was in a war meeting and found out their plan for the comet"

After relaying the information he found they discussed it with Aang.

Let's skip ahead to after the failed invasion and to the air temple when Zuko shows up.

"Hello, Zuko here"

No fighting it in this one

"Get your jerk bender butt over here" Katara and Sokka said practically in unison.

Ya know, somehow I knew august would want to give me even more stress than it already had an great Goku above, I was right

I honestly don't know if she's still alive and that scares me #I have tried reaching out to her before but she never answered. I'm glad we eventually got to reconcile #I just hope she's okay. I know she deserves to be okay.#An then theres everythin thats been happenin with my family. eugh #the old man has apparently been buyin another lady even more stuff than he did these past few months an my ma has been gettin more jealous #an then me and her have been gettin arguin lately cuz she's old an believes that toxic masculinity dont exist an that I wasnt raised on that #even tho I was. to the point where I recall bein a brat about bein called a girl for a play in church a long time ago #an then my suicidal thoughts have been more. on I gues lately. Shit. Shitshitshitshit.

She wandered too far from the hive, and it was getting dark. Nohna had been lost in her own thoughts and found herself all the way on the other side of town without even realizing it. Clutching her the trash collector staff in hand she hurried down the back alley street hoping to cut through and make it home abit faster.

Nohna wasn’t really afraid of the dark per say, but some of the other female slaves who worked the streets like her warned Nohna of the dangers of being out after dark, especially by herself. In the distance, she heard the sound of pounding music, one of the clubs no doubt- she was getting closer to home. Stepping out onto the busy sidewalk, cars and people alike rushed by without giving the human so much as a glance.. Not too far down the road she spotted The Pointed Fang.

Almost-

The young woman turned quickly pacing down the sidewalk, squeezing her way through the crowd, unaware that she was being followed.

The further she got from the club, the less dense the crowd walking the strip became, by the time shed finally escaped the thick of it. It was well after dark, and the moon- wasnt out. Only the dull glow of the street lights illuminated her path. Much to the poor woman’s dismay.

Coming to an intersection, she paused… feeling her face grow hot as she eyed the street signs. God help her, she didn’t recognize any of them. “Well, well,well.~” The low purr of a male voice cut through the human’s momentary panic, only to shoot up her anxiety tenfold. Looking up, and over her shoulder, she spied a younger-looking vampire male sitting on the front steps of what could be assumed to be his home. “Look what we have here.” He drawled, taking a long inhale of his cigarette before putting it out on the step and rising to his feet.

Putting on the meanest scowl she could, Nohna took a step back and turned away from him. Hunching her shoulders in as she clutched the staff firmly in her hand. Common, change. Silently she pleaded with the crosswalk to let her by.. All the while, the males slow approach from behind could be heard, her chest grew tighter with every step.

“A cute little mouse, whos out past her bed time~” His voice came from directly to her left, his hot breath brushing her ear- and then the light changed. Springing from the place she stood, she briskly crossed the street, eyes wide and lips pressed thinly togather. “Poor little mouse, are you tired from your long day of work?” He easily matched her pace, walking along side her. “Your kind always works oh so hard. I admire that really~” Leave me alone. Her throat was dry, and nohnas heart violently pounded in her chest. Very, very aware of what was about to happen. Yet some part of her still hoped shed turn the corner and see something that could save her.

“You know-” He reached out touching her hair, “Ive always wanted a pet, He reached out to touch her and unable to ignore him anymore she recoiled. “Dont touch me.” The womans voice came out in a hiss, her hazel eyes flared with fear and anger. “Keep those filthy hands to yourself.” The vampire had also stopped his pace and stood before her with a surprised look. “Filthy?” He cracked a smile, though it wasnt a nice one. “You are calling ME filthy?” He suddenly moved forward, and before Nohna could even process what was going on hed grabbed a fistful of her hair on the side of her head and jerked her forward.

A pained cry left her lips, dropping her staff she grabbed hold of the wrist connected to the hand holding her. “Let go of-””Shut up!” The vampire hissed, gripping tighter as he pulled he knelt down and looked into her eyes. “Youre just a street urchin. Collecting trash and cleaning the streets. You should be begging to be picked up.” Gritting her teeth as he brought his face mere inches from hers, she tried desperately to figure a way out of this. Her eyes darted around as the vampires free hand gripped the from of her shirt, and ripped the material straight down the middle exposing her chest and neck- oh god, hes going kill me...or worse.

“Thats right. Know your place. I was willing to take you into my home, into my bed, but that filthy comment pissed me off.” He let go of her hair and grabbed her face. “Now im going to show you who truely is the filthier one between the two of us.” Oh god, oh god, think,thinkthinkthink!

Blood pounding, she jerks her face away from his grip, the male began to laugh and taunt her. However Nohna wasnt done yet, gripping the front of his shirt she jerks him forward- bringing her head up, and head butts the male square in the nose. The wet crunch that followed had her stomach clench. But it seemed to work, the vampire cried out and staggered back, clutching the front of his face in shock before falling straight on his ass. She didnt wait for him to recover. Spinning on her heels Nohna took off in a dead run, forgetting her equipment or that her front was totally exposed.

Just shelterin’ from the storm, Darlin’ - A Negan & Blake AU PART 3

When Negan returns to the place he once ruled over, will he find anything there worth sticking around for?

Negan scratched at this bearded cheek as he followed the blonde down the eerily dark hallway.

Memories of this place, once bustling with life filled his mind and flooded his senses. But here and now, apart from the three of them, the place was otherwise quiet and still.

Upturned and ruined furniture littered the long corridors, the two adults almost dancing along to avoid them in the near darkness.

Negan wondered what had happened here so long ago. Had the place fallen straight after he had been locked up, or did the ruin of the Sanctuary come long after?

But his thoughts on this subject were short lived, his short-term memory forcing its way to the forefront of his mind instead.

What the shit had that thing been back there?

Hell, that was like no damn rotter Negan had ever seen before? Had they learned to use goddamn knives now?

Shit.

What the fuck had happened to the damn world in the short few years the dark-haired man had been locked up for?

“Hey, that shit back there? With that damn biter? You seen anything like that before, Darlin’?” asked Negan, speeding up a little on his long legs and closing the gap between him and the blonde woman, coming to walk at her side now.

He noticed her hold the little girl tighter to her chest for a moment, and her eyes never met with his as she answered.

“I’ve heard rumours...but…...I don’t know…” she murmured, trailing off and shaking her head, as though not wanting to talk on this subject anymore, as they reached a large and familiar staircase that led up to the upper levels.

Another rumble of thunder crashed overhead, sounding closer this time in the empty, echoey hallways.

“We found a room upstairs,” she explained with a nod, as she gestured for him to follow her up the large metal staircase. “The only one with carpet.”

He caught her green eyes flicker up to his a little nervously, looking almost embarrassed by her circumstance.

But Negan just nodded, narrowing his eyes at her, not really listening to what she was saying, merely pondering as to why this woman, with such a young child would end up here, seemingly all alone.

“So...where’s your baby-daddy?” Negan asked, his voice sounding harsher than he meant it to.

But Negan watched the blonde flinch suddenly at his words.

She didn't answer for a moment. But when she did, she sounded pained, as though trying to put a barrier up against the memories that sat in her mind.

“Dead…” she said what was barely a whisper now. “...I hope.”

Negan stared at her, his eyes roving across her side profile.

Shit. What the hell had happened to this gal?

Whatever it was, it was mirrored in the heavy purple bags that sat under her eyes, and the whiteness of her knuckles as she held, what Negan could now only presume was her daughter, oh-so tightly to her.

“So it’s jus’ the damn two of you?” Negan asked with a small, sorry frown.

And at this, the woman chanced a glanced up at him.

“It’s better this way,” she said softly. “This way we’re safe.”

She shook her head, her long caramel hair fluttering around her as she did so.

The pair were silent as they climbed the remainder of the stairs up to the third floor. Negan’s thoughts on nothing now but this woman and what the fuck she had been through.

Apart from the visible tiredness, she and the kid both looked good. Fucking healthy even.

It was obvious she was a good Mom, despite the hardships she had likely faced out on that road.

“I-Its just down here,” she said quietly, nodding down the lengthy corridor ahead of them.

Even in the darkness and the gloom, Negan recognised this hallway very well indeed, and he stopped suddenly in his tracks as the blonde reached a large set of oak double doors he had not seen in a long, long time.

But seeing him so still, both she and the little girl offered him a curious look.

“You...uh...you coming?” she asked tentatively. “We're just in here.”

And with that she disappeared into the room.

Negan’s room.

Well, his old fucking room at least.

It had been the biggest, plushest room in this whole place, with a large four poster bed, the slickest leather couches, and of course carpet.

He should have figured it out sooner on that basis alone.

And so giving a gulp and allowing his adam's apple to slide up and then back down his throat, Negan turned the corner and peered into the large, expansive room.

It certainly wasn’t as nice now as Negan remembered it once being.

All of the soft furnishings had likely been looted by the rest of his people after his capture, but the sofa, armchair and the enormous bed remained, likely too big and heavy to be removed.

But compared to the four damp walls and creaky old camp bed Negan had been used to for the past seven years, it looked like a paradise.

The little girl was now sat on the squishy leather couch ahead of him, sucking on her damp sleeve again and watching him, as he entered the room, closing the door behind him with a snap.

He noticed for a second the blonde woman, who was on her feet lighting a small gas lamp, flinch at the noise and glance over at him, still looking a little nervous about him being there.

But fuck. Negan couldn't blame her for that.

You couldn't trust anyone in this fucking shit-show of a world. So why should he be treated any different?

“So,” Negan said his hazel eyes looking her up and down as she worked, trying to break the obvious tension and silence that filled the room. “You got a name?”

But she didn't answer, silence consuming them all once more.

Once the lamp was lit, the woman set it on the carpeted floor in front of the couch where a coffee table had once stood, long-gone by the looks of it.

She stood up straight, brushing her hands down on the hips of her black jeans, before parting her lips and staring at Negan.

For second it looked as though she was about to say something but she quickly changed her mind, instead tucking her hair behind one ear and dragging her eyes hurriedly away from him, and instead, setting her attention on a large black rucksack that sat on the floor next to the sofa.

Reaching down into it, she pulled out two cans.

“We don't have much,” she said, her cheeks reddening profusely, her gaze lowered away from his as she held one of the tins out towards him. “You can have the peaches, she doesn't like them.”

The blonde glanced back at the little girl say on the sofa, before shuffling away and taking a seat beside her.

“Thay slimay!” the baby girl suddenly exclaimed, causing Negan to grin, as her Mom shushed her gently.

“Come on, eat your veggies baby,” hummed the woman in a voice like goddamn honey.

Negan gazed at her for a lengthy moment. At the two of them in fact.

Shit. They didn't deserve this life. Neither of them.

For Negan had known that he was darkness, even before the damn apocalypse. Apart from Lucille there had been nothing good in his life and Negan had made everything he touched, even her, that much darker, plunging them into a dismal gloom-filled existence with him.

But these two….well, to him there were light, and goddamn music, and everything good in this world. It was like a glow emanated from them both, cuddled up together on that couch, in that same seat Negan had sat in, so many years ago, barking commands at his damn men and giving the orders for people’s communities to be burned down, giving the order for people to be killed.

But where there once was darkness, there was now something new and good, and somehow, here and now, it was all Negan could see.

But he dragged his eyes away, staring down at the battered old can in his hand with a faded old image of plump and juicy and syrup covered peaches peeling off of it.

“Darlin’....you don’ need to give me this,” he said with a hard sigh.

But the woman glanced up at him.

“We’re not gonna eat it,” she simply shrugged, offering him, for the first time since they had met, a tiny smile. “It’ll just be left here for someone else if you don't.”

Negan pondered this for a moment, before giving in.

Fuck, well, he was fucking hungry as shit, his stomach giving a loud rumble as if on cue.

And so, being careful not to knock over the lamp, Negan paced across the small space and with a stiff groan he slumped down into the armchair opposite the two girls.

He noticed the woman’s eyes immediately flutter up to him and in a second, with a flush crossing her cheeks, she leant across the space between them and passed him over a fork.

Negan took it graciously, before lowering his own eyes and peeling off the lid of his can.

Normally Negan didn't shut up But right now with these two girls, he found himself at a complete loss for words.

Shit. What the hell were these gals doing to him?

But he glanced up again at them, as he took one of the slippery peach slices onto his fork.

“I’m Negan by the way,” he offered, causing the blonde to pause in feeding the girl at her side to look up at him.

He waited for her to respond with her own name, but she merely looked away again.

“Come on, Sweetie…” she whispered instead, spooning just a little more cold vegetables into the her baby girl’s mouth. “That’s it.”

But the tiny girl made a face, swallowing down her last mouthful before pouting. “No mor!” she said bossily, causing the blonde woman to sigh tiredly, rubbing her face with her hand before setting down the can disheartenedly.

Negan blinked, lowering his fork into his can.

“What?” said Negan suddenly causing the two girls to stare up at him. “You don’ like peaches…”

He sat up a little peering over into the can held in the woman’s hand.

“... or carrots now?”

The tiny girl blinked at her a couple of times before shuffling in her seat.

“Noh...Noh...I laik...I laik carrits!” she said almost a little scoldingly now, which caused Negan to grin widely.

“Then you gonna finish what’s left for your Mom, Beansprout?” he tried.

And for a moment the little girl pondered this before shuffling her tiny butt towards her Mom once more.

“Okway, littul bit mor, Mama,” said the baby-girl opening her mouth white in an o-shape.

The blonde glanced at once to Negan and offering him an appreciative look, before quickly turning back to her daughter and spooning a little more supper into her awaiting mouth.

Silence soon filled the room once more and Negan went back to his peaches, finishing half the can before placing it down onto the floor beside his feet.

And it wasn't long, after finishing her food, did the little girl give a tiny yawn, smacking her lips together tiredly.

“I think someone’s ready for bed,” said the woman in a kindly voice, hauling the toddler up by her armpits and holding her into her chest as she stood and made her way over to the large four-poster bed in the corner of the room.

In a blink, she had plonked the little girl down and tucked her in, sitting down beside her and whispering gently to her, words that seemed secret between the pair that Negan couldn’t quite hear...

….until the tiny girl was fast asleep.

"Jackie, im not always going to be around to make you mad when you need to use your powers you know?"

"Marvin, i know! But you do it so well and i want to practice" Jackie laughed

The magician and the hero were in the backyard of their big house. Jackie was practicing his powers, throwing energy from his hands into his enemy, and Marvin is the one brother who knew how to push his buttons and help bring it out. Jackie hadnt *quiet* gotten it under complete control, but he was getting there.

'Cmon Jackie, im tired' Marvin said. 'Weve been out here an hour. And you singed my shirt dude'

'Ok ok, get your boxers out of a twist. Lets go inside' Jackieboyman said, laughing.

As they walked in they heard Jack and Chase talking. And then a female spoke

"Wait....is that?" Marvin said to Jackie

"...Christine?"

They both ran to the kitchen and slid to a stop.

Their brothers stood talking to a woman, about 5'4", brown hair to her shoulders. She turned as they came barreling in and laughed

"Marvin! Jackie! There yall are!'

Christine was a family friend of Jack's. Shed grown to love the Septic Boys and came to visit when she could and always commuicated with them, she knew about Anti, knew about Marvin's magic....however Jackieboy Man was something she didnt know about. Jackie didnt want her having that knowledge and being in a different city, he didn't want to take that chance.

This was a suprise though

"What are you doing here???' Jackie said as he picked her up into a hug

"Ah!" She squealed and laughed 'I had time off work and was bored. So here i am!'

She gave Marvin a big hug and they all went and sat down.

"How are you?! We missed you!" Jackie said. Hed always had a bit of a soft spot for Christine

"Im okay! Making it!" She laughed "I told Jack i was tired of seeing him on my computer and tired of only talking to yall on the phone. So, i said screw it. Im my own boss anyway, im taking vacation time!'

The five of them caught up, laughing and talking

A few hours later it was just Christine and Jackie

"So, J you want to go grab something to eat?" Christine asked after the tv show theyd been watching was over

"Yeah. I can always eat!" He laughed. Lets go!'

She slipped her shoes on and they walked outside and headed for the diner that wasnt too far from the house.

As they walked Jackie studied her out of the corner of his eye. When did she get so pretty? Shed always been cute to him, but now she was just plain out pretty. She seemed...different

'So Christi...whatve you been up to? I havent been able to talk to you much except through text. You seem....different'

She smiled. "Yeah. I feel more relaxed. Ever since i finally published my book and got on the best seller list, i feel like i can breathe. Ive been doing book tours and all that, but im finally in a position that i get to make my own hours and take a break when i need too... Its good for the soul."

"Well. Relaxed looks great on you i have to say Miss Jaymes" Jackie said smiling

She laighed softly and he saw a hint of a blush creep across her face

"So. Have you thought about your new book?"

"No. I mean. I have one idea but...its dumb"

"Why? What is it?" Jackie asked curiously

"Youll laugh. I mean. Itd still be fiction, but based on someone real...."

"Oh? Who?"

She laughed and blushed crimson "okay okay. You know the hero Jackieboy Man that everyone talks about?'

Jackie stopped stiffly "uh...yeah. What about him?"

'Well, a few friends and i were having drinks and started throwing ideas around of like a comic or book with him in it. It be all made up obviously but... I dont know. I wouldn't want to get something wrong and offend him or anything, you know?" She laughed and they started walking again.

"Heh. Well. Im sure he wouldnt mind. Youre a really good writer....... Just give him a very pretty girlfriend" he laughed

Christine rolled her eyes and smacked him in the arm. "Typical man...oh theres the diner!"

They went inside and ordered. When the food came they ate and talked more. Jackie couldnt remember the last time he was so comfortable outside of the house.

When it cane time to leave Jackie got up to pay "oh no sir, this is on me!' Christine said standing up.

"Oh cmon Christi. No way"

"Yes way....if it makes you feel better you can buy me breakfast in the morning" she said and stuck her tongue out at him. He laughed and rolled his eyes

"Fine. But thats the last time you pay for my food'

"Yeah yeah. Ok." She laughed and walked uo to the counter. As she was standing there a guy walked up to her, Jackie kept an eye on him and watched as he got Christis attention. She hugged him so she seemed to know him at least. Jackie drank the last of his soda and stood up and walked over.

"Oh. Jackie! This is Steven. And old school friend of mine!"

The guy stuck his hand out and shook Jackie's

"Hey! Good to meet you...yeah me and Christi used to be stuck together at the hip!"

"Yeah...shes talked about you before" Jackie said

Jackie didnt know why, but he didnt like this guy. He make his hands tingle and he felt like his powers would shoot out if he didn't calm down.

"Hey Christi....ill be back. Im gonna go to the bathroom"

He went to walk away, then hesitated and as he stared at Steven he kissied the top of Christi's head,a normal sign of affection towards her, but this guy didnt know that so screw em.

In the bathroom he pulled his phone out and shot her a text 'hey...dont go anywhere with him. Ill be out in a minute'

He splashed water on his face and shook his head "Calm down man. Youre acting like a jealous boyfriend. " he scolded himself. He walked out of the bathroom and didnt see Christi or Steven anywhere. He walked outside quickly and his defenses went up....something was wrong...

"Christine???" He yelled out.... Then he heard something from the alley behind the diner. His heart dropped and he took off running in that direction, stopping at the corner of the building

"What the hell Steven?!" You cant just go to hug me goodbye and grab my ass! That's not how it works! You lost that privilege long ago when we decided to be friends and i was a teenager!"

"Oh cmon Chris, dont be such a stuck up bitch. I always used to smack your butt and you liked it!" Stevens voice made Jackies hair stand on end. Oh no. He didnt like him one bit

"Ok. And i was eighteen! Im freakin 30 now! Thats disrespectful as hell. I trusted you. Ive known you how long? We talk all the time and all of a sudden youre trying to make a move on me? Why would you do that?!" Christine raised her voice.

"Because it was a joke. I didnt realize you were such a fucking prude" Steven sneered

At that point Jackie had enough, he stepped from behind the corner, Christi's back was to him but Steven saw the supernatrual blue glow his eyes had taken on and he stopped "What the--"

"So...let me get this straight...because she doesn't want you to touch her without permission...shes a prude and stuck up?" Jackie said, his voice raspy as he tried to control himself, he blinked hard and his eyes returned to normal before Christi turned

"Jackie...I--"

"Nah. Thats not going to fly. See what youre going to do is apologize to her. Do you know how she talked about you man? You were like her big brother, when she talked about you it was about how much you had grown and changed from when yall were kids....and now you go and show what a shit person you really are...and its a joke?" Jackie said, stepping closer and closer to Steven until the other mans back hit the wall.

Steven could sense that even though Jackie was shorter than him, he had a power. He looked at Christi and stammered "i-im sorry. I shouldn't have touched you....it wasnt funny"

Christi had her arms around herself and tears in her eyes "Just go. Dont talk to me anymore...juat leave!"

Jackie watched at Steven took off out of the alley and then he turned to Christi

"Hey....you ok?" He walked over to her and reached an arm out to hug her but she flinched

"I-...i dont really want to be touched right now....can we walk home?'

Jackies arm dropped "yeah...yeah of course"

As they walked the road, he watched the moonlight play along her hear and face. After about ten mintues he stopped her

'Christi....are you...okay?'

She had her back to him and suprised him when she turned and buried her face in his chest and wrapped her arms under his. He just wrapped his arms around her and held her, stroking her hair as she cried, after a while he bent and picked her up bridal style and carried her the rest of the way to the houae and up to the porch swing. He sat down and she curled into his chest

"Why didnt i listen to you? He said he wanted to show me something funny on his phone.... And it was...it was.... '

She trailed off and cried again

"Christi...what hon?" Jackie asked slowly

"It was a...gross video...of him...with himself"

Jackie bristled at the thought of what she meant and clentched his teeth

"Did he....did he try anything else?'

"No...i just feel stupid for trusting him and for being upset because he didnt do much to me...."

Jackie pushed her forward some so he could look her in the face "Christi. No. He touched you without permission and showed you that video without your permission. Neither of those is ok. Of course you trusted him. Youve known him a long time...guys like that...hell people like that prey on the ones they think wont judge them....that they have gotten endless amounts of forgiveness from.... Its not your fault that hes a piece of crap. He just showed you his true colors and you finally took a good look at them"

He kissed her forhead

"That doesn't make you stupid. That makes you someone with a good heart... Naive maybe, but you try to see the good in everyone"

She smiled, head on his shoulder."Thanks Jackie.... I dont know what id do without you"

He chuckled "youd have to walk places on your own" he teased

They sat there in comfortable silence and she soon drifted off in his arms

Marvin walked out and saw them on the swing and touched Jackies shoulder "huh?" Jackie said quietly "oh..marv its you"

Marvin laughed. "Uh...everything ok?" He pointed at Christi who was asleep in his arms

"Yeah...long story' Jackie said. "I think i might be in trouble Marv"

"Why?? Are you hurt?" Marvin asked quickly

"No. Nothing like that...its just..... Really natural to have her here in my arms....i kinda don't want to put her down"

"Oh you mean youre finally admitted your sweet on her? Christ. Took you long enough" Marvin teased. "Now you just need to tell her"

"Yeah. But then id have to tell her everything and--'

"And? She knows about the glitch demon, she saw me do real magic with flames and all and didnt even blink.... I doubt it would phase her...hell she hangs out with Mark and his crazy ass egos all the time. Im pretty sure shes passed anything shocking her"

Marvin had a point....

After Jackie got her laid down on the couch and covered her up he made a pallet on the floor next to her and laid down. In the darkness he heard Christis voice

"Hey J....you awake?"

He sat up. "Christi...you ok?"

She smiled sleepily "yeah....i just wanted to thank you...for all of that and for sleeping down here with me... I feel safer with you around" she reached her hand down to his and squeezed it

Jackie reached over and brushed her hair from her eyes "hey Christi....?"

"Yeah j?"

"When you feel up to it.... Can i....nevermind"

She half sat up "can you what?" She asked

"Its stupid....but...i just...i really wanna kiss you...and i completely underatand if you dont want that i ju-"

His words were cut off my her hand being placed over his mouth

"Jackie....that is the sweetest thing anyone has ever asked... Actually" she smiled and in the faint glow of the streetlight shining into the living room he saw her blush "ive wanted you to kiss me way before now....i just never thought...well... I mean look at you! Why would i think youd kiss me?" She laughed

Jackie moved her hand "why the hell wouldn't i?? Youre freaking beautiful. An amazing person with a heart of gold...funny as hell.." He trailed off "why the hell *did* i wait so freakin long?" He said

She leaned forward and he did the same, cupping her chin and pressing his lips to hers softly

After a moment they pulled back and she smiled "hey...doesnt this pull out into a bed?"

He nodded "yeah. Why?"

"She stood up "i feel like id sleep better in your arms than just holding your hand from the floor" she laughed.

He laughed and stood up and they fixed the pullout with pillows anx blankets and laid down again, she curled into his side and lay her head on his chest. They whispered and laughed and kissed until she finally drifted off into his arms

The days passed, Jackie and Christi grew closer. She asked the guys if she coukd rent the spare room in the attic since the subject of her new book was from their city. Her editors loved the idea of a sort of published fiction about everyones favorite superhero.

Marvin was constantly on Jackie to tell her the truth. But covered for him whenever he would go on patrol. She never got too suspicious, believing them when they said he was with Jack helping with video filming. One night Jackie had gone out and Christi was in her room writing. She came down the stairs as Marvin was making some tea in the kitchen, he heard her grabbing her coat

"Hey Christi...where you off too?" He asked

"Oh. Im just going for a walk. Clear my head some, get rid of the writers block."

"You sure. Its pretty dark out there?"

"Yeah Marvin. Ill be fine, im not going too far, just over to the wooded place by the pond. I wont be long...Jackie should be back soon" she smiled and looked down at her watch

Marvin grinned "You two make each other really happy...you know? Hes lucky you came along"

She smiled "i think im the lucky one. But thank you. Its been a good 6 months"

She grabbed her phone and put it in her pocket, then walked out into the cool night.

As she walked she could see her breath in the air. It was chilly, but not overly cold. She walked a little ways and reached her bench she liked to sit in. Jackie had bought it and had it delivered after she saw it at a hardware store. It was big and sturdy, but comfortable. She closed her eyes and listened to the frogs and crickets.... Then her ears heard something strange....she listened again...there! It was a cracking...leaves under feet maybe?

She looked around and didnt see anyone. She turned back and screamed when she saw Anti sitting at the other end of the bench

Before it got completely out of her throat he grabbed her

"Shhhhhhhh" the glitch whispered "now now...dont want to alert the kitty cat do we sweetheart?"

Tears began to form in Christi's eyes

'Now. I just wanted to see my brothers new plaything" he spat out

He stood, bringing her with him and backed her into a tree "hmmmm....what does he want with you? " he stared into her eyes and she went to her knees as it felt like he was crawling into her skull

"Ahhh. There it is. .the damage.... Tsk tsk. Does Jackie know about this? Boy wonder would probably go running if he knew whatd been done to you...is that why you left your home? Came seven hours away to live in a house with a bunch of men you think can protect you?" He cooed as he read her mind and things that had happened.

Suddenly anti stepped back as Christi stood and stared him down "oooooh...stronger than she looks eh? No matter' he flicked his wrist and a red string wrapped around her neck and pinned her to the tree

"Now Christi Jaymes...do you really think that stupid book will fix you? Writing about Jackieboyman saving some poor girl from her stepbrother is gonna fix you? Thats been broken for fifteen years sweetheart. That part of you will never be whole.... Maybe you should have him save your heroine from the ex fiancee....the one who told her what to do, when to do it.... Who wouldnt let her piss without his say so?" He mocked as she began to tremble.

He stepped closer to her and was almost in her face when a blue light shot him backwards into the water

Clad in red and a blue mask Jackieboyman came sprinting down the hill and before Anti could get out of the water he met him head on, eyes blazing a blue fury and cussing him out loud.

As they fought Marvin ran to Christi and with a shot of magic cut the string around her neck, he checked the cut it left but it was only superficial. He tried to pull her away but she stood in awe as they fought. Both of their magic strong

Marvin had never seen Jackie's at this strength before. He watched as they went at it. Wishing like hell he could tell Christi hed be ok...but she didnt know his secret.

Jackieboy knocked Anti down and was about to deliver a final blow when the glitch disappeared completely

Well. That was a new trick.

Jackieboy turned to Marvin and Christi and smiled. Marvin turned toward the house as Chase exited calling out to him. As Jackie stepped forward he saw Christi's face drop in fear and she ran toward him

'What the--'

She shoved him out of the way as Antis knife cut through the air....and instead of landing in Jackie it was lodged in her side

Jackie caught her as she fell. Screaming for Marvin.

Marvin turned and saw what happened and shot a green bolt of magic at Anti at the same time Jackie shot his own. The power sent the glitch crashing through the bench and cracked into a tree. Coughing and bleeding from the head he spat out "this isn't finished!" And glitched out of sight

Jackie picked Alison up and ran for the house, screaming for Henrik. He and Marvin and Chase crashed through the back door. Her blood running over Jackies hands in into his suit

"Christi...hold on....hang in there baby girl" he begged her. Secrets be damned

Henrik ushered him into the basemet and to his makeshift hospital room. As much as he had to care for them he had most everything here for easy access.

"Place her der on ze table Jackie. I need to look at it before we pull it out, okay" the doctor asked. Trying to keep calm

Jackie nodded and laid her down gingerly and took a step back... Schneep...she'll be ok right? Shes gonna be ok??"

"Ill take care of her Mein Bruder.... But right now i need you to step out and let me do my job.... Go ait and get zomting to drink...you look like youre going to vall over'

Marvin grabbed Jackies shoulders and steered him out of the basement and up to the kitchen. Jackie sat there, shaking as Chase and Marvin darted around him making tea and trying to wipe the blood from his face and check on him. The hero just stared at the wall. In shock....then looked down at his hands and began to tremble harder and fell to his knees and cried and howled in a kind of pain Marvin had never heard come from a human before.

Chase went to his knees beajde his and wrapped him tightly in a hug "hey. Jackie...its gonna be ok bro. I promise. Henrik is the best. You know that. Shes gonna be ok. Shhhhh" he smoothed his brothers hair and rocked back and forth.

Marvin called Jack who had JJ with him and they rushed over. All sitting in the kitchen. Taking turns on making jackie something to drink. Or eat. JJ signing funny jokes to try and make him smile and distract him....the five of them sat there for what seemed like years until Henrik opened the door

Jackie jumped from his seat "Is she....?"

Henrik placed his hands on his brothers shoulders

"Didnt i tell you i vould take care of her? She will be fine, the knife didnt damage any major arteries. She wilk be good as new in no time" he smiled tiredly at Jackie

Jackie went to race passed him to see her and Jack called out 'Arent you going to take off your suit?!"

"Fuck keeping secrets. I need to see my girl" Jackie called out as he bounded down the steps, mask hanging around his neck

Christi lay sleeping on the bed. His heart caught in his throat by how beautiful She was. Even with bruises around her throat from that asshole....

She stirred and opened her eyes and seemed confused for a minute and then smiled

"I knew it was you" she whispered and reached her hand out to him. He stepped forward and dragged the chair to her side and grabbed her hand

"What do you mean baby girl?" He asked smiling

"I knew you were my favorite hero all along...and when you smiled at me right before he.... I just knew it was you"

"Im sorry i didnt tell you...i just"

She waved her hand "no no. I get it. I know you wanted to protect me"

"Yeah. Lot of good that did" he said bitterly "why woukd you do something so crazy woman' he asked her, brushing her hair from her forehead

"Because.... I knew it was you....and i couldnt let him hurt you.... I love you too much" she said

The words hit him like a truck "you...you love me?"

She smiled "well. I dont take knives in the side for guys i just kinda like dummy'

He laughed and kissed her forehead "i love you too Christi...so much...now get some rest."

She scooted over to the other side of the bed, injury near the edge and said "come lay with me?"

He happily obliged and she fell asleep in his arms

6 months later

"Jaaaack" Christi asked "why wont any of you tell me whats going on?"

She walked down the stairs in her dress and shoes Jackie had left on her bed. It was their one year anniversary and she had no idea where he was. Jack, JJ, Marvin, Chase and Henrik stood in the living room and all smiled when she walked down, clearly knowing something she didnt.

"What?!' She asked exasperated

Marvin laughed "Now Christi. Dont try and ruin it. Just enjoy the fun. Go outside. He'll be here in a minute." And with that the five men left the room and walked to the kitchen. She watched them go and rolled her eyes

"Yeah. Ok" she grumbled. Ahe walked to the front door and opened it. She was greeted by 24 long stemmed roses along the railing and when she turned to the left Jackie sat on the porch swing smiling. Her heart jumped at how handsome he was with his hair pulled back and a button up shirt on.

'Jackie" she said quietly. There were candles on the porch and her boyfriend stood up and smiled at her.

"Cmere. Let me kiss you" he said smiling. She walked over to him and he kissed her deeply. Then pulled back. "Happy anniversary beautiful" he said to her smiling

"Baby. You didnt have to do all this"

He smiled and sat on the swing and she sat beside him " you know" he said "This is where i was when i first told anyone i thought i loved you...it was that night...Marvin walked out here and you were asleep and i told him i thought i was in trouble because of my feelings" he chuckled and turned to her and grabbed her hand

"A year ago i held you for the first time, it was so natural. You fit with me perfectly. I didnt know how much youd mean to me though. I thought i cared about you then...but its nothing compared to now. Somehow you fit seamlessly into my crazy world with my crazy family and never blinked an eye... Baby girl im so lucky to be yours"

Christi smiled and ducked her head "oh Jackie. Im the lucky one. You saved me literally and figuratively... And the guys are like family to me. I love them to death. Im just happy to be able to be here with all of you."

Jackie cupped her chin and kissed her softly, she didnt notice his other hand reaching to his pocket.

"Christi Jaymes.... I love you more than i thought possible....and you're the only one i want to hold the rest of my life..."

With that he dropped to his knee in front of her and opened the box revealing a diamong ring

"Will you do me the honor of making me the haooieat man alive and be my wife?" He asked shakily

Inside the house the Septic guys were pressed against the window and cracked open front door "i didnt know if he was going to get it out!" Jack whispered laughing

Christi began to cry and nodded "oh my god! Jackie! Of course! yes yes yes!!" She cried and Jackie slipped the ring on. With that the boy bolted out the door cheering and hugged them both and congratulated them. They all celebrated with whiskey and cake and got stuffed.

Later, lying in bed Christi looks at her ring and then at Jackie "you really want to marry me?"

He laughed "hell yes i want to marry you, crazy girl. I love you!"

She smiled "good. Because youre stuck with me now hero boy.... I love you too" she kissed him deeply and he reached over and switched off the lamp, grateful for the distance from his brothers rooms tonight.

*kicks door down* oKAY SO i finally got around to reading this and my eyes teared up????? like for real?????????? i love this world and this AU has a special place in my heart and ive never even thought of dip's parents and i am............... Aghast at myself but u, my lovely and incredible wife, you are so AHEAD of me?????? i dont even know where to start. all of this is so beautiful, so detailed, the emotions , the atmosphere. i might be SCREAMING

*cue me flinching at the idea of a door being kicked down near me even tho i love this “meme”* i remember feeling almost numb writing it bc i was so worried about how i was going to write major’s parents. i didn’t want him to be too distant from them, but i wanted it to be obvious they were unaware of the situation. i wanted them to be unaware of everything that had happened after stan’s death. i wanted that awkwardness of meeting your bf/husband/whatever’s parents for the first time. i wanted there to be an obvious strain, an obvious change that no one was going to talk about bc “at least our boy came back”. i wasnt sure what i was going to do with them, everyone sees them so differently, i think. so i took a kind of middle-road approach, with them having instilled certain things in their children. i really was unsure of how i was going to handle the “killing blow” scene. i knew it was what i wanted to do w why they were visiting, but i wasnt sure how i was going to have their parents react. i’ve never lost a child, i’ve barely lost a loved one. i’m not very familiar w grief personally, so i was unsure how to paint these characters w it, especially since they’re still v static i think in general. women are p much biologically coded to be more willing to show emotions and to cry than men (it’s testosterone okay) so i knew i was going to have the mom cry. most of the men in my family go into some form of shutdown when they get overly-emotional so that’s what i went w for him. also i pulled the names out of my butt and didn’t realize the “ma” part of maggie, mabel, and mason until i was in the middle of that scene and had written it like five times. so that was completely on the fly. but this is honestly something i could’ve seen easily being tens of thousands of words one-shot material. i am so so so honored you loved them, bc i was so so unsure of them the whole time i was writing them. this whole drabble was new territory. i’d never written a “meet-the-parents” scene and have barely experienced any irl so i wanted to make sure it was the right amount of awkward/heart-warming/strained-bc-of-their-life-choices thing. i wanted so desperately for it to feel like major and lioness are almost emotionally detached from the whole thing, but i knew that even if major wasn’t dipper anymore, his parents would still inspire a small piece of what might be left in major. and lioness would be nervous for so many reasons and one of them would certainly be if they’d like her. if they’d think she’s the reason he hadn’t come home in so long.

again, i always see my writing in my head like a movie, and do my best to put that movie into words. the scene at the end, w them in major’s old room, i fought w the wording and pacing w it. i wanted it to feel like a time machine and a nostalgia trip and a little bit like a funeral all at once. i wanted it to feel like what a parent must feel to walk into their child’s room when they’re no longer there. i wanted it to be a mourning period, especially for pacifica, who mourns the loss of dipper more than almost anyone else. she loves major more than anyone in the universe, more than herself, but she will always, always miss the opportunity to know dipper. to fall in love with dipper. it’s not hers to regret, but she wishes so hard she could’ve known who that boy could grow up to be. what kind of man he could’ve become.

pls never worry about thinking about the parents. i almost never think about characters parents unless they’re important for plot reasons (like paz’s). i literally made them up as i went. i tried to take into account how old they’d be and then like, compared it to my own parents and grandparents and tried to hit an idea of what they’d do w their time. watching wheel of fortune and game shows like that is something we often do in the evenings at my one set of grandparents’ house so that’s where that came from. and then someone had give mabel even the idea of knitting so i thought her mother would be a good place (plus my grandma knits so. jacked that from her too).

also also also the whole “they can’t stay here” line of thought came from a fic i’d re-read recently and i knew that was the tone i was going for.

as i mentioned i remember feeling numb writing it, and now when i read over it i feel distanced, like i’m watching from afar. i might revisit this and extend it or something bc as much as they’re static-feeling i love how i portrayed their parents and would love another opportunity to expand on them. it felt like such a big thing to tackle, bc i knew there needed to be so much written to even cover why they’d go back to california. at one point i thought maybe i’d put them in their teens and they’d be there for the tradition of introducing your partner to your parents. maybe it would be after they’re married and it’s a stop on a short honeymoon. i had a handful of ideas why, but i knew this one was the right pick as many times as i wanted to make it something else.

the “opening scene” of them in the car, in my head there’s no background muisc, maybe the rushing of the wind through open windows, but no music. i can hear something soft and melancholy and aching when they’re in major’s old room, when they look at mabel’s door is when it’d start probs. that sad full house violin music when major’s trying to tell them mabel’s gone. when he’s explaining why. (literally that track makes me cry every time) something soft but ultimately happy plays when they reunion begins, hitting a crescendo when maggie throws herself down the stairs to her son. a sort of sinister music when lioness and major are telepathically talking about what major’s done to his father’s mind.

gosh i might have to do more parts bc i can see them staying for at least a weekend if not an entire week just talking to the parents and helping them understand and cope.

i’m so glad u love it, wife, and i’m so thankful that you see the details, but ultimately i think i could’ve given even more and extended it even further. this is definitely a thing i’m open to writing more of.]

[edit: the scene where they tell them about mabel, paz mentions her empathy spiking. i’ve lowkey decided that she’s so connected to major that some of what’s given him his telepathy has sort of flowed into her, and because she’s taken on being major’s humanity, she’s extremely empathic, and the supernatural just enhanced it. so she actually feels what others are feeling. this allows her to be more aware of major’s emotional state, but also can be used to manipulate enemies and lackeys alike. she can’t manipulate their emotions, but she can use what she’s feeling from them to sway them one way or another. touching mr. pines in the scene where her body is screaming at her to be comforting could’ve been disastrous bc his emotions are running so high from less than a foot away that she already felt like she was grieving as hard as he was. she might’ve completely lost herself in his emotions if she’d touched him. it was kinda a last-minute decision in that scene but it’s an idea i like a lot. she probably wouldn’t start to develop it until she’s been with major for years.

so yeah that was supposed to be a subtle thing but idk how subtle it was so i’m explaining it all now.]

ok so this book is rly fun, basically it’s like everyone is super fucked up from this war but marco in particular is so super duper fucked rn he’s reached another plane of fucked he’s on a higher tier of emotional distress and it’s messing with his ability to morph, he’s so spectacularly damaged that he’s experiencing it in new and unprecedented ways he’s fucking evolving he’s ascending

"Cassie?" "Hi. Can I come in?" She didn't wait for me to answer but just sort of pushed her way past me. I followed her back to the living room. She turned off the TV and looked expectantly at me. - "You have something to tell me?" "No." "So why are you here?" "I'm here to listen to you." I laughed. "What, are you a shrink now?" She shrugged. "You said it yourself: We can't exactly go to see counselors, can we?" "Look, I'm fine." "No, you're not," she said. "Jake bought it, Rachel bought it, but I didn't. Something went wrong. I heard it in your thought-speak. You blew another morph." I sat down. I was sure I'd covered. I was sure. But of course this was Cassie. Cassie who knows what people are feeling about five minutes before they do. "Did you tell Jake?" "No. And I won't." "Why not? What happened to it being everyone's concern?" "Because I want you to know you can trust me. You know, enough to talk to."

god like??? their relationship is just So Good i love that cassie is the one to reach out to marco so consistently and genuinely, the only one to offer that kind of support, because he shoves all his pain away and hides it from everyone else but she sees his truth, insightful cassie, and then actually sets out to do something about it

because let’s not forget jake, who knows every member of his team inside out and Absolutely knows when marco is having problems, but isn’t the same person as cassie. cassie, who worries for her friends. cassie, who wants to help in any way she can. jake sees an issue like this and analyzes its contribution or detriment in relation to a mission, decides whether it’s worth looking into, and acts accordingly. he simply does whatever is necessary to reach the goal. he doesn’t have the time or energy to go chasing after every member of his team every time they break down, because they’re all broken and they all deal with it differently, and that’s really what it comes down to for him: they deal with it. get it done, and deal with it. no time for anything else, just let everyone fix themselves as they do, and move on to the next thing.

which is such an interesting parallel to cassie’s way of dealing with these things. cassie the empathetic healer, who speaks her mind and confronts the issues everyone else glosses over. it’s such a breath of fresh air to see her enter into the situation with pure intention, to fix, to help. these books give such a feeling of loneliness sometimes, spinning tales of personal conflict and avoidance and silent suffering, especially in the case of marco, who deliberately masks his pain with laughter, pain’s polar opposite. cassie is a force of companionship, of understanding in a place where it’s desperately needed, and i think it’s really refreshing, given everything else that happens constantly around her. it’s just really nice, is all i’m saying

She ignored my weak attempt at a joke. "And then we found out your mom was still alive. Only she wasn't your mom anymore. Her body had been taken over by a Yeerk. And she was the enemy. Marco, in the space of a few awful months you've gone from believing your mother is dead to almost literally having to try and destroy her." "And you think maybe that's stressful?" I deadpanned. "I think it would have crushed most people," she said. "That mission against her and Visser Three, you were setting her up to take a fall. You were intimately involved with leading Visser One, your mother, into a trap that -" "Shut up! Shut up!" I jerked up off the couch. I had my hands over my ears. Stupid. I took my hands down. They were trembling. "Look, Cassie ..." I started to say with exaggerated calm. But then I forgot what I wanted to say. I could see her. On that mountaintop. Her sudden realization that it was me who had brought her there. Marco. Me. Her son. Her host's son. Not some ruthless Andalite warrior but her own son . . . Visser Three's troops and ships closing in. The cliff giving way. Falling. And later, Rachel had come to me and said that her body could not be found. That maybe she was still alive. And Rachel had understood that she wasn't doing me any favors because it was so much better to know, to know for sure anything, even to know something terrible as long as the torture of uncertainty was over. . . . "What did I do?" I whispered.

he didnt even realize until now, he didn’t even put this together until now he was so focused on every other aspect of the situation that he didn’t even think about anything other than the fact that it was entirely his fault that his mother was possibly dead, he just had too many other things clouding his mind to realize that oh shit if she’s still alive we’re all kind of fucked

he’s usually so conscious of things like that at all times but this particular event fucked him up so good it blocked his perceptiveness, he probably didn’t want to think about it he probably pushed it out of his mind as much as possible so whenever it did manage to surface the only thing he felt was guilt and pain, as in the emotional response rather than the tactical thinking

he doesn’t realize until right now, when cassie confronts him and forces him to think about it, what the facts strung together actually mean for them, five books later this is happening i’m gone knock me tf out

"Nora and I have been talking about getting married, Marco. But we won't do it without your okay." "Yeah? And what if it's not okay?" I said. I could hardly hear my own voice. He sighed. His eyes turned vacant, distant. The way they'd looked for a large part of the past two years. I hadn't missed that look. I hadn't missed it at all. "Marco, we're a team, you and I. We've been through a lot together. If you say no, I'll accept that." Fine. So it was on me. Great. Typical. Yeah, why not? I'll decide if my dad is happy or not, if my mom is still my mom. I'll decide if she lives or if she dies so that I, the Great Marco, the great cold-blooded Marco can prove how tough I am by leading her into a trap, setting her up ... I felt pain. I was digging my fingernails into the side of my head. I was going to explode. Some artery in my head was going to blow apart. It was too much. Way too much. "I'm out of here," I said. I got up and ran for the door.

like is it just me or is this super fucked up for jake to do oh my god?? humor is marco’s defense mechanism he uses to ignore his terrible realities and bottle everything up and hide it all away and it’s super unhealthy and cassie recognizes that, so she tries to help him by showing empathy and encouraging him to open up

jake also knows this about marco and and instead uses it to put him back on track on a mission like instead of saying “you can’t bottle up your emotions like this it’s not healthy and it’s obviously causing major problems” he’s like “you better bottle that shit up right this fucking instant or so help me god”

and the thing is it fucking works, marco snaps right out of it like “oh yeah bottling up my emotions why didn’t i think of that lol” and the whole thing just kind of strikes me as Super Fucked Up???? wow

i absolutely love it tho like dont get me wrong im not trying to demonize jake or w/e- it’s just another example of that brutal realism you get with this series because it feels like there should have been some kind of moral lesson about friendship and emotional support at the end of this, like it should have been cassie who managed to get through to marco by being there for him in such a critical moment, but it’s not. the thing that puts him back on track is literally the opposite of that, it’s jake basically telling him that his emotions are a waste of everyone’s time and that he needs to shove them aside just like he always does because it’s worked in the past and it needs to work Right The Fuck Now- it’s the invalidation of marco’s emotions that finally manages to pull him back to where he can essentially “function” properly again, as far as morphing goes

god and this is the shit that always gets me, why i love these books so much, like not to get all Edgy or anything but it’s that brutal reality of a fucked up situation, where there is no moral at the end, the serious issues aren’t getting resolved, the characters are fighting amongst themselves and damaging each other in the process it’s just?? so???? it’s so fucking Good like God i just

six: Seattle Grace Mercy West Shooting (6x23)

i mean how is this not emotional?!?!?! first of all, we have callie who is trying to get arizona to love her or even understand her and talk to her again while operating on a child in a patient room and Clarke visits them. then you have bailey, percy and patient mary who get a visit and Gary shoots percy and bailey’s trying so hard to save him but cant. then there is alex who is shot and all he can hallucinate and think of is Izzie who left him but he thinks lexie is her. and poor mark who wants to be with lexie but lexie is with alex and she has a boyfriend, and yeah she could have a husband but she has a boyfriend. and then there is owen who got shot and meredith who had to operate on him and then there was derpy little april who was born in ohio on april 23rd and she has a mom and a dad and april stop talking because u just got derek shot and now it made meredith miscarry and cristina and jackson are operating on him and jackson pulled his tabs off and made us all think he died because gary was going to shoot meredith and i dont even remember the rest but how was none of that not emotional? it wasnt it was super emotional.

again, this is all so emotional. cristina cant find her shoe. meredith cant find derek. arizona cant feel her leg. derek cant feel his hand. poor jerry died. the fire went out. there was only one piece of gum. cristina did like weird surgery on mark in the middle of a forest and then there’s lexie. poor lexie who was trapped under a plane. poor lexie who loved mark. poor lexie who’s pelvis was crushed and her arm was probably detached and she will never get to see sofia grow up. she will never get to see zola and bailey and ellis grow up. she will never have her own kids with mark. because you know why? she fucking died because shonda rhimes is an evil woman who makes really emotional episodes.

four: amelia’s breakdown (11x22)

oh god. caterina is an amazing actress. her almost slip with the oxy on derek’s deck just fucking wrecks me. like there are no words. she is fine. she’s hanging in there. she good. she’s making jokes and putting butts in the seats of every OR gallery she is great. but her brother is dead. she’s dead and she is what? supposed to be going bat crap crazy? huh? yeah. but shes hanging in there until some shady doctor sells her a baggy of oxy and shes going to take it. but she cant because thankfully owen stops her and its okay because she needs to feel things. and it’ll be okay.

three: i love you (9x24)

alex’s i love you confession to jo literally makes me squeal so fucking hard you have no idea whatsoever. this episode is my favourite outta the whole show. this is mainly just fangirl emmotional because i love alex and jo and to see alex telling her he loves her was amazing because he doesnt do crazy chicks with problems, but he likes chicks with dude names. he likes jo. so he did. he told that intern out there to shut up because he loved her.

two: owen and amelia’s talk (13x17)

Hey i just wanted to ask a kinda touchy question. I really appreciate the fact that you ban fics on your blogs such as noncon and shotacon ect. I feel like fanfiction writers take this free speech thing too far and dont understand how damaging such things could be to peoples perceptions on sex and the unhealthy outlook certain things have! Ive always read fanfictions but im starting to feel uncomfortable with the smut ones particularly. (1)

(2) I understand writers disclaim at the beginning of a story that the stories are works of fictions but at the end of the day these are based off of real people and avalible for the public to read. I just find it kinda bad to fetishize a person, you know, wether its their stage persona or not? Its kind of violating i feel and probably very uncomfortable for someone to read their body being used a certain way to the enjoyment of a large audience.

(3) Anyways im just curious of your opinions since I respect your past ideals! Wanted to get into fanfic writing myself and im not coming for anyone just sometimes i stop myself and think i would hate for people to write about me like im a sex object in smut and get off on that in many cases!! But i dunno at the same time people would probably do it in their heads anyways. I dunno. i find romantic stories to be a different case,im touching more on the vivid sex scenes you know?

First of all I just want to say that there’s no such thing as one genre that’s better or more worthwhile than another. People are allowed to like and enjoy different things, and change their likes and dislikes as they go along in life. I hope everyone is clear on that point. Free speech is just that, you are free to write and say what you want- and others are free to tell you that you’re full of shit.

I also want to address your false equivalency you make in this ask because frankly it is not what we stand for in FY!EF at all. Smut is not equal to nor represents shotacon or noncon. These are separate issues that exist aside from smut itself. This is why we don’t recommend them, because there is something illegal about them and at their core, morally repugnant. Are we the morality police? No, but it’s our blog and we will only post content we feel comfortable with. And we are very comfortable with smut.

Additionally, we (the fandom) have no right to judge what is “healthy” or unhealthy for another person, especially a fellow member of the fandom or for the idols that fanfic is written about. Fanfic is not a surprise to celebrities anymore, they expect it and in Korea they are trained to deal with shipping. Do you actually think ships exist by mistake? They are a marketing ploy to sell more albums and bring in more fans. Fanfic, at least in the US legal system does not rise to the level of being libel or defamation. Legally, it is a grey area and will likely continue to be so indefinitely.

Idols don’t have to read fanfic about themselves if they don’t want to, we are not forcing it upon them (unless you’re one of those people who posts HUNHAN FOREVER on Sehun’s instagram…then you’ve gone too far.)

Next! I want to address what I see as the underlying issue in your ask, because at the end of the day its not about smut vs romance, its about the fetishization of gay men (and all queer relationships) by a largely cis population of women. For the purpose my argument I’m going to focus on gay men.

Warning: Admin Aeryn is going to swear a lot.

A lot of fanfic is written by a younger audience, some of whom don’t know any gay people IRL and their exposure to gay people is through popular media such as yaoi anime, fanfic and popular bloggers. Media exposure does not mean you know or understand the gay population, doesn’t mean you’re qualified to speak on the behalf of gay folks or are even qualified to write about them.

But hey! That’s what the internet is for. We can write what we want, right?

No, not really.

Fanfic does not exist in a vacuum and I think what some of your discomfort seems to be is just that, the fetishization of gay men into certain roles or stereotypes that are inherently flawed, degrading and uncomfortable. Example: Baekhyun is a whiny bottom bitch slut who cries and begs Chanyeol for his massive monster dong. *

That’s pretty much the plot of the majority of Baekyeol smut fics out there. So what’s the problem in there. Well first, that Baekhyun is a slut and that being a slut is bad. Nothing wrong with being a slut. Next, the assumption that because Baekhyun is SHORTER than Chanyeol, he must always bottom (equating being gay with being a woman, and thus degrading both gay men and women in the same blow). Crying and begging in sex are also associated with stereotypes from heterosexual porn where the woman cries and is called a slut and begs the man with the monster dong to fuck her.

Being shorter does not mean a man will bottom for another man. Potentially having a smaller penis than another man does not mean he will bottom (not all men are size queens). Who tops and bottoms is not based on height, attractiveness, or muscle mass (all gender stereotyping, sexist, misogynistic). Not to mention all these “qualities” (ew) that writers base their fics on are exclusionary of transmen and transwomen. It is inherently fucked up.

But! Fetishization doesn’t end with sexualizing one person and stereotyping them into one particular sexual role. It also exists in the way you’ve made gay romance your pedestal where no “icky gay sex” exists. You’re essentially saying you have a problem with gay sex, but gay romance is fine. You are still guilty of the fetishization I have discussed up to this point. You have fetishized gay romance and excluded the sex because you don’t like it. Whether it’s because you’re coming to realize how fetishized and ugly the kpop fandom can be or because you’re inherently uncomfortable of dicks in butts because of homophobia, I can’t say. But I do challenge you to look at it deeper, because right now, it looks real bad.

Redworth came to her hard-won perspective after being shocked by what her body actually looked like post-pregnancy. Because society so often shows only Photoshopped models and celebrities who bounce back from pregnancy within days, she had never seen what a real postpartum body looks like, or even heard anyone talk about it. She initially hit a low point in her self-confidence.

But about 12 weeks postpartum, she started weight training with the goals of building muscle and returning her rear end to its curvy, pre-pregnancy glory. She decided to document her fitness journey for all the other moms out there, but with a focus on self-love.

7 months progress. After my pregnancy I still ate like I was "eating for two" and it was pretty much all Junk food. The shock after my c section then the shock from having a postpartum body you never see online (but is the most normal after having a baby!) was all too much but after a few months feeling low I had to pick myself up and sort it out! hating yourself, being negative and beating yourself up about it won't change anything. Having the most positive outlook will help you so much! Instead of "I've messed up my diet the last few days I can't do this" think "okay I've messed up a little but tomorrow's a new day and not everyone is perfect it takes time" give yourself a break! I always wished I had someone to look up to on Instagram and as much as I love the fitmums on there, their lives are so unrealistic for most! Redworth told The Huffington Post. Not everyone can live in the gym and not everyone will have abs after pregnancy. I thought about how many other women are out there looking for the same thing. After this, I decided to document my fitness journey, all the ups and downs being as real as I would need someone to be.

A centerpiece of her body positive style is that she doesnt worry about clothing sizes or goal weights. In fact, she hasnt weighed herself at all since the day she found herself feeling embarrassed by her postpartum weight at a meeting with a trainer.

When I got home that night, I asked myself why I was embarrassed at all. Us mothers have it rough enough feeling like a huge uncomfortable whale for almost a year then to wake up with a baby, a totally new body and all this self hatred isnt fair! Especially when you add the stress of a newborn. I got so overwhelmed I eventually sat there and said, Ive had enough! I had a baby, and no matter what anyone says sometimes your body needs to gain weight. Who cares?

Recently, Redworth decided to make a point about clothing sizes by posting two photos of herself trying on a pre-pregnancy skirt. In the first photo, from a few months ago, the skirt doesnt even come close to fitting. In the second photo, she is able to button all but one button, but the skirt has gotten much shorter due to her now more muscular butt and thighs.

Trying on my pre baby clothes I used to be a 4-6 (UK size) before having a baby and around 8st. I was obsessed with my weight and hated my body After I had my 9lb baby at 42+weeks and could go back to the gym after recovering from a c section, I was 10-11st. It got me so down even though I thought I looked amazing for the time so I vowed to never weigh myself again. F**k the scales. My fitness goals have never been to get back to my body before a baby because I had no booty and no muscle and with weight lighting I'm going to be bigger, I'm building muscle and THATS OKAY! I tried on a old skirt for fun a few months ago and I couldn't get close to closing it but yesterday I could do up almost every button! I love keeping track of progress like this. Clothing size isn't everything and although this shows my waist is getting small, because of building my bum+thighs theyre always going to make me go up a few sizes just look at how short this skirt is now don't focus so much on sizes it's all about if you're happy with the way your body looks. I was so unfit at a size 4. Don't get so obsessed with numbers they mean nothing, you could fit into any size clothing and find issues with your body. Focus more on loving yourself for you, getting rid of the negativity and challenge yourself on why a clothing size is so important to you. Dont get so obsessed with numbers they mean nothing, you could fit into any size clothing and find issues with your body. Focus more on loving yourself for you, getting rid of the negativity and challenge yourself on why a clothing size is so important to you. Fitness becomes much more enjoyable if you arent constantly putting yourself down.

Redworth points out that clothing size says nothing about your health, adding that she was very unhealthy from starving herself when she was a size 4, but has gone up a few sizes in jeans since building up her leg and butt muscles.

She also regularly pulls back the curtain on the different poses, angles and tricks that people use on social media to make their bodies appear a certain way.

In the first picture I never thought my bum or legs would look this good since gaining so much weight during pregnancy and that resulting in a flat booty. I mainly eat clean+lean(one or two cheat days a week I'm not the strictest) weightlift with HITT at the end of a workout or on occasion do a bbg workout but now I have no time to go to the gym I'll be posting the home workouts I do and the best ones for growing & shaping the booty

I am looking into financing a 2007 honda civic coupe ex. It is a 1.8 liter inline 4 motor. Front wheel drive and automatic with almost 68,000 miles on it. In florida, you have to get full coverage until you finish paying off the car. I am 23 with 2 traffic tickets. One for a stop sing violation and another for no proof of insurance. Both tickets were given to me at the same time almost 3 years ago. Thats the only 2 tuckets ive ever had. I live in the country as well because i know that matters for a quote. But with this information, what would be a good estimate on how much full coverage insurance would be on this vehicle? Thanjs in advance.""
