#okay i did draw stuff that didnt involve the hedgehog characters i promise i was just picking my favorites/what i thought was the best #from each month and realized i kept picking stuff with sonic and/or shadow in it #so i decided i would make all of them have at least one hedgehog character because the pattern was funny to me #anyway kind of disappointed with how little i drew this year ive been struggling with motivation to do art for a while now #but . i did get at least one or two finished drawings for each month. #and i also managed to do artfight even if i did less art for that than ive done in the past #whihc are still accomplishments i think. considering how ive been feeling #also i didnt get to do one of these last year because my laptop decided to stop working around december #and i did get a new one soon after. but i wasnt able to get access to the stuff on my old one until a little while into the year #and at that point it felt like the moment had passed and it would be awkward to post the art summary thing . so i just didnt #so . yay i get to do it this time #if this picture is making you notice how inconsistent the way i draw werehog sonic is no it isnt

I'm probably in the minority with this but I wish the first 3 arcs of Sailor Moon Crystal were a two-part movie series (like they did with Eternal and Cosmos.).

This will probably make the Crystal fans seethe at the mouth bc God forbid anyone has an opinion different from them. But we probably would've avoided a lot of the embarrassing poor animation choices had they turned the material into two-part movies for each arc. They'd have more time to focus on the good bits that moved the story along. They'd have more time to also focus on the animation quality of the movies.

Maybe, as a result, they could've spent more time honing their character designs versus getting better after three FULL seasons of SMC.

Sorry not sorry, the designs in Eternal and Cosmos are way better than the poor attempts to copy Naoko's style that plagued the first 3 seasons of SMC.

#so far in my sporadic picking away at various manga series i feel i have the weirdest reader relationships with JJBA and Attack on Titan #when reading JJBA i am not really that invested in the characters or even whats happening to them and yet i still never decide to dnf it #and i dont even know what it is that keeps me reading except that its just very unique i suppose? #such an odd combo of different things that somehow manages to eventually have its own sorta cohesive logic and charm #also the art is just fun. its ornate and goofy and macho and flamboyant and gross #but as soon as i put it down i stop thinking about it too #and dont feel like picking it up again for at least several more days #with attack on titan i found the art style mostly really bad at first ngl #it reminded me of awkward drawings a high schooler would make like the inconsistentness #of like there are good action poses here but the people also look weird ugly bland and stiff and the backgrounds are often so empty #idk i was feeling pretty blah about it but something about how starkly straight-forward the story is was interesting to me #where its literally exactly what you heard its just #theres a bunch of humanoid giants attacking our city #and we have to stop them. that's it #and also the awkwardness of the art style i find works extremely well when it comes to the titans #like they are genuinely creepy to me. and they do actually feel massive the way theyre drawn. and the mystery around them interests me too #anyways im like 60% through part 1 of jojo(also read most of part 4 a few years ago) and only on vol 3 of AoT #but yeah those are the 2 series i have the most mixed feelings about so far #wouldnt say i love or hate either of them but still also continue to want to find out more #13readsmanga #p

ifeel like literally everything i am supposed to do to be a like. well adjusted human being is so so so exhausting? like i dont even mean a job or being "productive" or whatever.. socializing and hobbies often physically and mentally drain me so much and so fast and its really hard to keep up with things like that when having one (1) conversation or trying to do a cross stitch pattern for like half an hour makes me feel like i need at Least 2 weeks to rest and recover
