Is your OC comfortable in a position of power, or would they prefer to be the one following orders? 

Very funny XD

Ihz is positions-of-power intolerant and actively allergic to following orders.

She is, when GENUINELY NECESSARY, willing to act as an advisor, but she will be uncomfortable the whole time. Her advice will be much less awkward if you can have the high-stakes political discussion while picking out the string's hooves.

What teacher/tutor/mentor influenced your OC the most?

Honestly? Vol'jin.

I wouldn't say they had a mentor-student relationship--it wasn't personal, he wasn't a friend. But he was her leader, and a good one. He didn't know her on a deep personal level, but he knew of her; and knew her, from seeing her around and working with her and because she does maintain very close and emotional bonds with the Darkspear tribe, well enough to know what she needs to feels safe and respected.

One of those things, of course, was being left alone, and he respected it. But like. It wasn't Vaz who recruited Ihz into the rebellion, it was Vol'jin, and he did it because he knew they needed a supply line and he knew she could be trusted implicitly despite her very much NOT being a student or personal friend. Pure professional reputation.

He cared about his people. It showed. She respected that.

What does ‘home’ mean to your OC?

A clear, dry morning on the steppes of Durotar, a good dog at her side, a mount she can trust, a full mailbag, a good line to the nearest source of water, no one in danger, and a footpath that's just challenging enough to be interesting.

What is the one personality trait your OC is trying to get rid of and is embarrassed of?

Those are actually two separate answers!

Ihz is deeply embarrassed by the way her misanthropic facade absolutely implodes the moment anyone gets her talking about anything she's passionate about, but she's not ashamed of it.

The thing she's actually working to change is that she's gruff and irritable by default--which she's fine with, actually--but specifically that she doesn't generally drop that around her family. Vaz is annoying in the way an extremely self-confident older gay cousin who's absolutely drowning in pussy tends to be when you are a deeply awkward asexual mule nerd who hates people and also places and things--but Vaz is also her only remaining family. And Vaz has sacrificed a lot for her, risked a lot in the past for Ihz's sake. She knows in her bones that if she ever needed anything, Vaz would drop her life to help.

She deserves to have Ihz put down the barriers around her. Ihz is trying to work on that.

If your OC could permanently remove any one thing from their world, what would it be? Why?

Rollkur. And/or twisted-wire gag bits.

She's a little embarrassed by that because she's aware her answer should be, like, "bigotry" or "war" or something but actually she literally would not hesitate and she knows this about herself.

Sheik (The Legend of Zelda) - my relationship with gender is like. we're friends with benefits. i was born female and present that way about 98% of the time but it literally doesn't matter to me at all, and i think the first time that i came to that conclusion was playing ocarina of time and finding out that zelda was sheik.

Deacon (Fallout 4) - the first character that ever made me start to really unpack all the masks i wear. deacon changed the game because i don't think i even knew how dishonest i was being with the world until i dove into his headspace.

Jayce Giopara/Talis (League of Legends/Arcane) - it's hard to talk about jayce without splicing the league and arcane lore in an inconvenient way, but i'll say this - guy who tries his hardest and screws it up all the time but never gives up, driven only by a desire to make the world better? would that i had his grit.

Miranda Lawson (Mass Effect) - again, that feeling of being something manufactured rather than born. artificial rather than organic. i love an ice queen always, and though i think the execution of her character left a lot to be desired, i'll always have a soft spot for her.

Olivier Mira Armstrong (Fullmetal Alchemist) - unapologetically cold. inarguably a good guy. an unmatched girl crush of mine.

Morrigan (Dragon Age) - i don't know if anything has ever made me so angry as finding out a female PC couldn't romance morrigan without mods. a prickly swamp witch with negative social acumen. what more could i want in a woman?

Hana Song/D. Va (Overwatch) - i decidedly do not go here much anymore, but hana song was the perfect storm for me when overwatch fandom was at its height. still a child, she carried the weight of her country's security on her back, and did everything she could not to crumble.

Jaina Proudmoore (Warcraft) - my girl has been done so dirty by blizzard entertainment time and time again, but her rage spoke (and speaks) to me in a way that i have trouble putting words to. also i want my hair to look like hers.

Handsome Jack (Borderlands) - i fucking love this fucked up guy. there's nothing deeper here.

Astarion Ancunin (Baldur's Gate 3) - what, you thought he wouldn't make the list? looking at astarion ancunin is like looking in a mirror, and frankly, it almost makes me uncomfortable sometimes. no notion of self-worth (except where sex is involved, and even that is complicated), snarky little prick, outright mean when people get too close? yeah. he's just like me fr.

My Dread Lady Total War

The story My Dread Lady was initially supposed to be sort of linked to a campaign in Warcraft Total War, which is a mod for Medieval II Total War. It turns out that writing takes a...heck of a great deal of time, so I didn't really get around to actually playing it. But now I am mostly finished with the unit stats modding, with multiple hit points units based on their Warcraft III stats and several main characters added. After finally playing through a test campaign most things work decently, I think.

Here is the main cast as they appear in game format.

The Dark Lady and her personal squadron added as retinue.

Her newly acquired ranger mage. The friendly Jaina Proudmoore can make friends among the gloomiest of Forsaken.

Her bodyguard back in Theramoore is likely to be less pleased with her whimsical ideas of getting herself kidnapped to cruise the seas to Lordaeron.

The stalwart and always serious Ranger Captain Areiel will never irritate Sylvanas with remarks about how the mage kid needed a nap and wonder if that was why the Dark Lady kid-napped her.

In her absence, Sylvanas has left Lordaeron in the steady hand of her trustworthy and reliable chancellor.

Knightliest of knights and chivalry personified, ze stature and legendary accent of Baron Frostfel leaves no spectator untouched. Zis Scourge or Scarlet rabble shall not zlow us down! It is a portrait I modified from a human knight, zat is ze only worthy way of depicting ze good baron.

A few days ago, I got Dark Forces 4: Jedi Knight 3: Jedi Outcast 2: Jedi Academy, and instantly downloaded a mod with a Jaina skin.

This may be a kinda cursed idea, but seeing the amount of modding that people have done, and after playing around a little bit with the lightsaber combat in this game, I'm starting to ask myself if this might have potential as a machinima engine.
