Strong opinion: Gideon Nav is not a golden retriever!

Gideon is a husky. She's opinionated, strong, very self sufficent, tough as nails, and also a dramatic bitch!

Marta Dias: German Shepard, she shows up, ready to work, does her job as a professional and looks forward to her kibble at the end of the day.

Coronabeth Tridentarius: Standard Poodle. Under all that hair and good breeding is a frighteningly compitent hunting dog just waiting to show you that she is the best and exactly why you should love her.

Naberius Tern: sadly that boy is a toy poodle. And he's doing the best with what he has...its a pitty about the yapping.

Jeanmarie Chatur: a young English lab or pointer...she's going to be the best there ever was if only she can get the chance to grow up.

Magnus Quinn: is the actual Golden retriever. His kind have been breed for years to be a part of the family, he loves you and your kids...he's a goofball....he is perfect...

Camilla Hect: mid sized terrier. Yes, she looks cute with her big personality and messy coat, but she never lost the instincts that alowed her ancestors to run into Badger dens and fight the enemy on thier own ground. She is smart and visious and determined and she loves her person.

Protessalous: the mutt you had growing up who passed away when you were a teen. He isn't any clear breed....but somehow all other dogs are measured up to him and found a bit wanting...

Colum asht: mastiff....he's big, overbreed, designed for one use only (to put fear in the hearts of his enemies) and won't live as long as the other dogs. But he's doing his best.

The chore list post made me think of G1deon and Pyrra because Pyrra 100% would have been the only one to help... it wouldn't be a formal thing they'd just get shit done...thinking of Pyrra and G1deon standing on the sidelines of a disastrous Mithraeum dinner party smoking and planning how to get the wine and blood stains out of the rug... i can see why Pyrra loved him, they were the practical base of the original lyctor/cavalier pairs, a relationship built on the rock solid assurance that the other could and would do what you needed them to... being able to trust another person totally... every character in this series makes me wanna chew through concrete

and you're so right anon... and another thing I chew glass over is that G1deon was the third saint!! Augustine & Mercy ascended because Cristabel & Alfred forced their handed with a double suicide, but G1deon & Pyrrha CHOOSE that. together. they looked at Mercy & Augustine and choose to ascend anyway. I wonder how long they waited... was it a few hours after? days? Did Mercymorn's grief / Augustine's rage make them doubt the process at all? or did they want to climb into eachother's ribcage enough that they didn't care? Or did Mercy & Augustine's ascensions only bolster their resolve, did they only choose to definitely do it after they saw proof that it was real?

My musical bodies theory of current

Gideon's body empty for a bit while she was in Harrow. She died, but both her body hasn't rotted and her soul is in tact.

Alecto (presuming she is The Body in the tomb)'s body lies in the tomb, not rotting but empty. Possibly has been haunting Harrow and/or Gideon since the opening of the tomb.

Harrow abdicates her body to Gideon. She did not die in either body or soul, but has gone to sleep leaving her body empty for Gideon to use.

Harrow follows her link home to the tomb that also contains Gideon's fictional skin mag.

Gideon sees The Body (presuming Alecto) when she gets thrown into the river piloting Harrow's body.

As of now I think

-Nona: Alecto in Harrow's body

-Gideon is in Alecto's body

-Harrow is asleep in Gideon's body
