LMAO TOO MANY. here's a brief(?) list

dimitri fell in love right away when they met but realized it only during the rain scene

byleth fell in love more slowly and realized it at the goddess tower (academy)

sylvain knew about dimitri's crush all along and kept teasing him about it but dimitri was dense and clueless and always like "i dont know what you are talking about, sylvain. my only feelings toward the professor are admiration, care, and the wish to spend all my life at her side. totally normal"

during the fishing tournament, byleth asked dimitri to keep her company. dimitri was confused, the professor always fishs alone!, but gladly accepted. she also tried to teach him how to fish but he kept broking the fishing rods

byleth always spends at least 3 hours at sunday having tea with dimitri (its me im byleth)

the first time byleth tried to make tea for dimitri, she made a chamomille too strong for a normal human to enjoy. luckily dimitri isnt normal and it was the first time in years he tasted something. byleth keeps over-pouring his chamomille just to see him enjoying some taste

dimitri cant cook for shit. byleth only knows how to stew at a campfire. dedue is their savior

(dedue knows about dimitri's crush too but doesnt tease him about it)

they love each other in every universe, in every timeline. even if they dont realize it, or one of them (dimitri) dies, they still love each other and always will.

dimileth CF: edelgard is the one who kills dimitri, byleth tries to stop her but fails, and after she spends an entire day hugging dimitri's corpse, unable to understand why her heart feels so broken (since when does she have a heart?)

dimileth VW: after the timeskip, byleth meets dimitri for the first time at the gronder. she rushes to him and hug him, whispering "i thought you were dead", and dimitri replies " i thought it about you too". then an archer hits dimitri on the back. he looses strenght on his legs. byleth starts screaming. dimitri doesnt look at her, he only says "i always wanted to dance with you" and dies. byleth turns back time till the monastery and now chooses the blue lions :)

dimileth SS: (wooo "ghost scene".) dimitri always loved the professor from afar. and hes not dead, but he knows he's about to, so he goes to the monastery to see the professor one more last time. he needs to tell her what hes doing, what hes about to do, but looses all his composture once he sees byleth smiling at him in relief (she thought he died- offscreen during gronder). ohhh but he needs to go now, he feels like that smile isnt meant for him, this isnt his- their story; maybe in another life. this is dangerous. why this urge to kiss her, why right now? he needs to go, now. "im sorry, professor. im a coward, i've always been a coward. i came here to tell you-" shes crying, shes smiling. "i love you too".

While I also am tickled by the concept, you reminded me of what I liked about that tiny little Snape/McGonagall comparison. (This isn't to say it's wrong, there's just Layers to it that I wanted to ramble about.) Contextually, it comes packaged inside a broader declaration about how Theo sees Draco — that is, an idealized lightning-rod for Theo's envy and pent-up frustrations about his own life — which is at a stark contrast with Draco's perspective. While Snape's favoritism is pretty easy to infer from the godfather-relationship and the fact that Snape just... generally is not slick with it (#Slytherin) I think the McGonagall part is way more informative about how transactionally Theo sees student-professor relationships! We don't know exactly what he's thinking about here — is he just assuming that Draco gets McGonagall's favor because he's a Gryffindor, leading off that remark about "Gryffindor Tower"? Or is he talking about McGonagall and Draco's relationship personally, in which case: why? McGonagall doesn't interact personally with Draco (or any particular student) often outside of class environments, and even though McGonagall clearly likes some people more than others, she's not unfair, and she doesn't abuse her power to favor them. Even when she bends the rules to give Harry a broomstick, she makes a point of trying to avoid outright breaking them (though not unrelatedly, Draco strongly believes that Harry is McGonagall's favorite, cf. "Summer's End.") And Theo doesn't even know about that incident!

So if Theo is actually making a remark about McGonagall personally, he's likely basing it on on the fact that (1) Draco is a prefect, (2) plays on the quidditch team (McGonagall's somewhat obvious soft spot), (3) is generally competent in class, or, (4) he's seeing a fondness in McGonagall's interactions with Draco that Draco doesn't. (4) is both possible and likely, considering how often Draco is surprised by the fact that people like him. (He's not good at reading affection if it isn't effusive fawning or communicated by insult.) But it's a far, far jump from that to "wrapped around your finger" by any stretch of the imagination, because: Minerva McGonagall? In what universe?

But to the point, the comment isn't really about McGonagall, anyway. Theo's flattening Draco's relationship with her down to a system of patronage, like the ones he's used to; it's not a mentoring bond between two people, it's just another shiny thing Draco has that he doesn't, and he shows that by describing it in terms of what Draco might be able to get out of it. It's not "she likes you," it's "wrapped around your finger," implying the possibility for manipulation and use. He's envious of Draco because Draco has options, and his access to authority figures who care about him broadens those options even more. Theo, meanwhile, is functionally orphaned, and the only person in the castle he can count on for political support is Umbridge. So there's a sort of emotional underbelly beneath that particular jab.

thank you for this reply because i’ve been meaning to make a post about that & forgot! so i’ve had my issues with light for ages because of sensory processing + chronic migraines, but i developed more general light sensitivity about two years ago (probably due to a combination of dry eyes + UV sensitivity from rheumatological issues).

this has gotten way worse as i developed me/cfs, to the point where a few weeks ago if i woke up during daylight hours it’d be impossible to get back to sleep because even with the blinds fully shut & all my covers pulled over my head & my eyes shut, i’d be too fatigued / pained by the light to do anything but lay there feeling like shit.

& that was the point at which i got blackout curtains, and i wish i’d done it years ago back when i thought my light sensitivity “wasn’t bad enough” to merit it, because holy fuck. obviously i’m still super impaired (i’m fully homebound atm) but my fatigue, cognition, & mood have been so drastically improved, it’s literally been a difference of night & day (with night being the better option). so now i can read on my tablet in my little batcave without taking constant poison damage.

obv not a universal solution, & even though i got a comparatively cheaper model (i wanna say like $25 each for curtain set + rod?) they’re unfortunately definitely financially prohibitive for a lot of folks, but if you experience issues with light at any level of severity & have the means it could be worth a try! even if that’s not your biggest / main factor, making things a little easier on my body in a small way that’s within my control often has unexpected positive effects on the more severe issues i don’t have the resources to manage.

i really hope you’re able to find a solution that brings you some relief. sending you love & luck for your continued search 💓💓

I'm continuing on the "the rift from Hermitcraft and the purple crack on Empires are connected and it's gonna put the esmp members into Hermitcraft for the charity live stream in one week" theory with the evidence that 1) both fWhip and Joel have been using the same background music as Grian and 2) Joel keeps bringing up Scar in his empires videos

previous evidence:

1) the rift on esmp is constructed out of the same materials as the hc rift (stained glass and end rods),

2) the esmp rift transports things the same way as the hc rift (cf. Lizzie's villager, Pix's chickens (that you can hear in his video but not see), fWhip's boar Sniff, the sherrif toy Joel threw into it; cf. Grumbot Prime, the rift foreshadowing Mumbos return and the nostalgia theme of Grian's base)

3) Scar said that the hermits were going to be playing mini games during the charity event, and that there were going to be "special guests" at the stream, which maybe means that those guests will be logging onto the Hermitcraft server to participate in the games (cf. the server tour Doc did with two Mojang developers, and Scar saying that he's gonna show Tubbo the roller-coaster in his themepark when it's done)

Alternatively I think it would be funny if the whole "Ren the king" plotline ends with ren being thrown onto Empires

The crowd in Philippi joined in the attack on Paul and Silas, and the magistrates had them stripped and ordered them to be beaten with rods. After inflicting many blows on them, they threw them into prison and instructed the jailer to guard them securely. This addition to Noel’s team was suggested by @littlemisslemonbits!  Sleipnir, a Rapidash inspired by the move Zero Gun: Sleipnir, Noel’s Exceed Accel. Ability:  Run Away Moves: - Wild Charge - Stomp - Fire Blast - Agility

The other members of her team, introduced in my earlier posts, are;

Fenrir (Arcanine) M Ability:  Justified Moves: - Extreme Speed - Flame Burst - Flame Thrower - Reversal

Thor (Pikachu) M Ability:  Lightning Rod Moves: - Swift - Electro Ball - Agility - Iron Tail

Zero Gun: Sleipnir was added in Central Fiction, along with the rest of the cast’s Exceed Accels.  Like Fenrir and Thor, Sleipnir is named after a creature of Norse Mythology- specifically, Odin’s horse.  I had been considering looking for a Pokemon to represent Noel’s Sleipnir, but at the time none of the horse Pokemon I looked at seemed like Pokemon Noel would be drawn to, so I had given up on the thought.

As mentioned, it was Ilebuy from @littlemisslemonbits who suggested the Ponyta/Rapidash line.  I’d overlooked it at the time, but it’s definitely easy to see Noel fawning over a Ponyta, and the Fire-Typing translates well to the aesthetics of Bolverk’s blasts!

I chose Run Away for the Ability for a number of Reasons.  First, to allude to Noel’s extremely/evasive fighting style, with all the flips in her animations and dodge moves in her BBDW appearances.  Secondly, to reference how Bolverk’s emotional limiters work to enable Noel to ‘run away’ from her emotions and her trauma instead of facing either head on.  Lastly, I just thought it suited her shy personality.

Wild Charge is the primary attack in Sleipnir’s moveset meant to represent the Sleipnir from CF.  It’s a flashy Electric-type move to bring to mind the rail gun that appears in the Exceed Accel.  Stomp serves as a reference to the kicks that appear in Noel’s general animations, while Fire Blast represents Bolverk’s usual shots.  Agility serves to reflect Noel’s acrobatic and fast paced fighting style- pretty much the same reason I gave the move to Thor previously.

Since my older posts, I’ve done some rewrites to how I would envision Noel in a Pokemon AU, so I’ll share them here too!

I still like the idea of Noel growing up with her parents somewhere around Floaroma Town in Sinnoh, and she would still meet her Growlithe Fenrir in the same manner- both of them becoming lost in Eterna Forest. 

Instead of sending her off to just any Trainer School, she would travel to attend Uva Academy in Paldea.  Perhaps Thor would be the Pokemon she would be given to raise upon entering the Academy, or maybe she would catch Thor during her Treasure Hunt.  Either way, it’s in Paldea that she would meet Makoto, Tsubaki, and her other friends.

I haven’t quite decided where she would meet Sleipnir...  I’m sure I want her to catch him as a Ponyta.  They likely meet while she’s back home in Sinnoh, though I’m not sure if it should be during a school break or after her graduation.

As a closing thought, I wonder if this version of Noel could be a Faller, specifically an extra-dimensional version of Ragna and Jin’s sister Saya...

“In the Orphica the pattern of reproduction remains more abnormal; there are both more variations of asexual reproduction and more perverse sexual couplings throughout the entirety of the account. Intergenerational incest continues even to the generation of Zeus, and the couplings are often explicitly violent rapes, rather than the epic “mingling in love.” In the earlier stages of the cosmogony, different types of asexual generation abound, from the coagulation of solid matter out of the primordial chaos of waters to the famous cosmic egg. The Orphic account Damascius gets from Hieronymos (and Hellanikos), like that recounted by Athenagoras, makes the first generation a coagulation of matter out of the primordial maelstrom, and that matter then forms into the monstrous triformed being called by various names, Kronos or Chronos and Herakles. This dragon with the heads of a lion, a bull, and a man then produces an egg without sexual reproduction (cf. Edmonds 2013: 164–68). The Clementine Orphic cosmogonies have the egg generated directly from the primordial maelstrom, forming like a bubble in the swirling waters rather than being laid by a monstrous dragon, while the Rhapsodies seem to have Chronos (unaging Time, perhaps in serpentine or draconic form) produce the egg, possibly by forming it from the aither. Out of this egg hatches an entity, called variously Eros, Metis, Erikepaios, and other names, whose epithet Phanes marks the idea that it is the first to appear (phainein), while the epithet Protogonos marks it as the first born. In the Rhapsodies, as in the versions known to Hieronymos, Athenagoras, and the Clementine authors, this being is bisexual or hermaphroditic, with both male and female genitalia, which it uses to copulate with itself and produce offspring, a mode of reproduction that is neither entirely asexual nor yet quite normal sexual reproduction. In the Rhapsodies, Phanes does progress to sexual intercourse with Night, however, and this coupling, whether it is incest with his mother or his daughter, seems to produce Ouranos and Gaia, the Heaven and Earth that become the progenitors of the later divinities. Athenagoras, by contrast, has Chronos/Herakles coil around the egg and break it into separate pieces that become Earth and Heaven, an account that resembles the Clementine versions, in which the portions of the egg settle into three realms of earth (Pluto), sea (Poseidon), and sky (Zeus), after Phanes hatches from it. This production of material elements resembles the first principles of water and matter with which these cosmogonies begin, rather than the personified entities of Time and Night that appear in the other Orphic accounts.

Sexual reproduction continues in the later generations of all the accounts, with Ouranos and Gaia producing the Titans as well as the Cyclops and the HundredHanders, as in Hesiod. Presumably the Titans engage in their familiar pairings as well, but it is the sexual activities of Zeus that draw focus in the Orphic accounts, especially from the Christian commentators who recount the shocking perversions in painstaking detail. Phanes may have “robbed his own daughter of the flower of her maidenhood” (Orphicorum Fragmenta 148B = 98K), but Zeus rapes not only his daughter, but his sister and his mother as well. Athenagoras recounts the horrible tale:how he pursued his mother Rhea when she was refusing to wed him, and, when she became a she-dragon, he himself changing into a dragon, bound her up with what is called the Heraklean knot, and had intercourse with her (the rod of Hermes is a symbol of the form of this intercourse); and again, how he had intercourse with his daughter Persephone, also violating her in the form of a dragon, and from her the child Dionysus was born to him. (Athenagoras pro Christianis 20.3; cf. Clement Protrepticus 2.15) The violence of these incestuous rapes is emphasized, as it is in his assault upon his sister, Demeter, of whom the Derveni Commentator says (Derveni papyrus col. 22.13) she is called Deio because she was torn (edêiôthê) in the violent sexual intercourse. The presence of such motifs in the earliest Orphic account, the Derveni papyrus, shows that sexual violence and perversions are by no means a later variation, but a recurrent theme in Orphic cosmogonies. The Christian apologists are merely echoing the critiques of earlier Greek thinkers who see the Orphica as marked by such perversions; such strangeness often characterizes things labeled as Orphic, a sign that the Orphic material cannot be taken literally but conceals hidden wisdom beneath its surface appearance that must be read allegorically. Indeed, the Derveni Commentator makes this point explicitly: “His poetry is strange and riddling for people. But Orpheus did not intend to tell captious riddles but momentous things in riddles.” The Orphic theogonies proliferate the strange modes of reproduction beyond the levels in the Hesiodic account to advertise the profundity they want to claim lies beneath the peculiar surface. While the Hesiodic narrative progresses from asexual reproduction to sexual relations within and then outside the family, the Orphic accounts multiply the levels of asexual reproduction and extend the perverse sexual relations beyond the first generations into the activities of Zeus himself.”
