It's not often that you act up, because you know better. When you do it's because something upsets you. Like today, Rafe had been running some errands all week, barely at home, and when he was he had to leave abruptly some time later.
You were grumpy. He said he would be here when you'd wake up from your nap, but he wasn't. You tried to light up your mood by coloring for a while and it did work, but you just missed Rafe.
In the evening you were still occupied in your designed playroom when he came back home, heavy and tired footsteps making their way to your room.
Usually, you would have run in his arms the second he opened the front door but you just didn't feel like it today, angrily filling out a page in your color book when you heard him approach you from behind, not bothering to turn around and greet him.
"Hey, baby." You did melt a little when he kissed the top of your head. "Come, it's time for your bath."
He was about to go and run you said bath, stopping dead in his tracks when he heard you say something he's not used to from you at all.
"No."
His head whipped back to face the back of your head. "Excuse me?"
"'M not finished yet- Hey!" you exclaimed when he took the crayon from your hand, finally turning to face him.
He was looking at you sternly and you knew it wasn't the brightest idea to rile him up more, but he wasn't the only one upset here.
"Wanna try that again?" he asked raising an eyebrow at you.
You just turned your back to him again, grabbed another random crayon, and continued to color.
Rafe chuckled crouching right behind you to whisper in your ear. "I'll give you exactly three seconds to-"
"No." you interrupted him, big mistake.
You're suddenly hoisted up by your armpits and whined when you realized where he's carrying you. Brat corner.
He sat you down on the mat, facing the wall. You pout, you didn't really know what you expected by telling him no but you definitely didn't want to sit here now.
Turning your head you watched him put away your books and crayons. He caught you looking and motioned with his finger for you to face the wall again.
All you wanted was to cuddle with him after not being able to the whole day and now you're sat in the corner after being bratty. All the emotions you felt right now were too much and you started to tear up from frustration, sniffling quietly.
The minutes went by and you didn't even know if Rafe was still in the room with you but didn't dare to turn your head.
"Alright, times up," he said and sighed when you didn't move, shaking your head while sobbing.
You were bad. Rafey doesn't like bad girls. Bad girls don't deserve to be cuddled.
"Baby, come here, please." he tried again and this time you stood up, shuffling your way over to where he was seated on your queen-sized bed, standing between his legs as you fiddled with the hem of your shirt.
His hands were resting on your hips, frowning a little at seeing the dried-up tears on your cheeks. "Wanna tell me what got my princess all moody?"
"Miss you..." you sniffled in response, placing your hands on his shoulders to get comfortable on his lap, burying your face in his chest.
"I'm right here," he assured you but you shook your head.
"Were busy all week and...you said you will be here after my nap..." you mumbled and Rafe grimaced, mentally cursing at himself. "M sorry I was bad-"
"No." he pulled you back slightly to look at you. "I'm sorry. I didn't realize how much I actually neglected you the last few days. I promise it'll not happen again."
There was silence for a moment until you held your pinky up to him.
"Pinky pwomise?"
He smiled at you, lacing his pinky with yours. "Pinky promise," he repeated, planting a kiss on your forehead as you snuggled more into him again. "My good girl..."
He held you like that for some time, rubbing your back occasionally and rocking a little back and forth with you.
When it seemed you calmed down he stood up, carrying you to the bathroom were a warm bubble bath was already waiting for you.

he's got a huge soft spot for you and you only
it took him some time to come around and understand the concept of age regression, but because he loves you so much he's willing to let you teach him about it
as he learns how important regressing is for you, he starts to feel happy that you trust him enough to share that (he won't say that tho)
being a caregiver gives him a sense of belonging, and it really helps him take his mind off other things because you're his top priority when regressed
super protective. he's always got a hand on you, whether it's holding your hand, his hand hovering on your side, pressed to your lower back, on your knee etc.
if his friends try and make some kind of smart comment about you or give you a weird look he is quick to snap
spoils you with new regression items: pacifiers, books, toys, cute clothes, etc. everytime he passes the kids section at the store he immediately thinks of you and is compelled to grab something on his way to checkout
does not tolerate temper tantrums (we all know he has a short temper himself)
tries not to yell around/at you because he doesn't want to scare you

“Here you go sweetheart.” Rafe smiles as he slides a plate of pancakes over to you from the other side of the island in the tannyhill kitchen. You rub at your eyes and nod in thanks, still tired from not going to bed when you were supposed to last night but waking up at your normal time.
“You okay?” There’s already a furrow of worry in Rafe’s brow, his voice soft but concerned in full. It’s always been easy to tell when Rafe gets worried about you, his go-to emotion with anyone else is anger but with you it’s different, you get his vulnerable side.
“I’m tired.” You huff and stare at the cut up pancakes on your plate, feeling slightly guilty for not eating them when Rafe had spent the morning cooking for you.
“I guess you did go to bed pretty late last night, you don’t have to eat if you don’t want to.” Rafe assures and plucks the plate from its place in front of you, slipping it into the fridge and instead pulling out a reusable bottle of water he keeps on hand for you. You don’t know when the bottle got bought or what prompted Rafe to get you your own bottle instead of just grabbing one from the cabinets, but you won’t ask, there’s no need to, the fact that he did it is more than enough.
“Do you wanna go lay on the couch? We can watch a movie, have a chill day.” Despite how nonchalant Rafe is trying to sound, you can tell he’s studying your every move to see if something else is wrong or if he’s the one doing something wrong.
He’s been hesitant about taking care of you in certain ways, always checking to make sure that you’re okay, second guessing things under his own anxiety that he’s messed it up, trying to do things perfectly in fear of you leaving and finding a new caregiver because he slipped up. It’ll never be the case and you’ve told Rafe both when little and big that you don’t care if things are perfect, you just want him, in any way shape or form. You think in the past few months he’s been getting better at accepting what you say as truth, but times like this you can see the insecurities poking through.
“Yeah, movie.” Once you have the bottle of water securely in your hands, Rafe comes to scoop you onto his hip. You happily take the physical contact and lean your cheek onto his chest, breathing in his familiar pine scented cologne and snuggling against the soft sleep shirt he still has on.
“The normal?” He asks and sits down on the couch without putting you down, content to hold you throughout the movie- and if he’s being honest it’ll be easier to put you down on a bed if you fall asleep this way, avoids the risk of waking you up by picking you up.
“Yeah.” Your favorite movie is already queued up on the Tv, as it has been since the second week of Rafe stepping in as your caregiver, it’s a small detail but it always makes you smile.
“You can go to sleep, little one.” His hand reaches to lay on the back of your head, thumb rubbing back and forth against your hair as you nod along.
It doesn’t take long for your eyes to slip shut and for Rafe to pull a blanket from the back of the couch around your shoulders. You can feel how he relaxes against the back of the couch once you’ve sunk farther into his chest, finally accepting that being tired really was the only issue. You find it fascinating how expressive Rafe’s body language can be without him knowing, how much him being calm makes you calm, how your body naturally leans into his when you know he needs it and that he subconsciously does the same. It’s a comfort you don’t find with other people, you cherish it with Rafe even if it is just the two of you falling asleep on the couch for an afternoon.

Love love love When Stars Collide (so much, already) the CGs are chefs kiss, and hello Noel with that tattoo! Not sure if you've answered this, but how do you pronounce the ROs names?
Asher Dioscuri:
This one is fine to say how you naturally do but I personally say "Ah-sha" or "Ah-sher" (more of an ɔː than an æ at the start). For his last name, it's said pretty much how it's spelled but with a "Dee" at the start, not like "Die" - so Dee-o-skur-ee
Daaz/Daazlon Cree:
This one I say like "Daz". Rhyming with...uh...pizazz? The aa makes an æ sound.
Daazlon is the same way but with "lohn" at the end (like long without the g) and the stress at the first syllable.
Cree is said exactly as you'd expect. Like "Kree"
Noel Romero:
said like "Noll" (one syllable) and not No-ell and Romero is said as you'd expect it to be said "Ro-mehr-oh"
Raif Atlas:
This one, I usually say as "Rafe" (like 'rake' but with an f) with an eɪ. Initially I intended it to be said more as "Rah-eef" - but fast enough to sound more like "Rife" with an aɪ instead of eɪ. But it somehow morphed into "Rafe" instead.
Atlas is said the usual way.
Yren Ladon:
Eer-ehn (similar to Aaron but with more of an ɪə or iː at the start)
Ladon is said as "Lay-don" with the stress on the first syllable.

Wheel takes episode 8: what they lost due to covid. I vibe with Ali so hard on this which is why included her reactions and not just the facts.
Gus: Here are the things that we know they lost as a result or indirectly as a result due to covid happening before they filmed episode 8. We've spoken about this, after episode 6 they had to stop down production, picked it up like 7 months later, I believe?
Ali: It's a long time.
Gus: They had to rewrite the episode, having lost: Barney Harris as Mat Cauthon.
Ali: Oh my god.
Gus: A major character who presumably was supposed to have major script elements and a major plotline within that episode.
Ali: This is why I got so stressed watching that last episode, I was like 'oh my god oh my god it's so stressful'. Sorry, I'm just stressed for them all the time.
Gus: Every single practical trolloc stunt actor.
Ali: What?
Gus: Every single practical trolloc stunt actor -
Ali: I didn't even know that!
Gus: -could not come back.
Nathan: What a fucking nightmare.
Gus: That entire battle sequence, which presumably had a lot of practical arena-fight elements, would have been filmed with prosthetic trolloc actors, was instead CG:d.
Ali: *groan*
Gus: On about, I don't know, three months' notice? They had to completely redo all of that.
Ali: You're kidding me.
Gus: The location where they were going to film the blight.
Ali: *muffled into her hands* They lost a location?
Gus: Blight was going to be filmed in I believe the canary islands. It was an organic, actual place, with funky looking nature and trees -
Ali: *still muffled* I'm about to start crying.
Gus: They were going to fly to the canary islands, film the blight there because they thought it looked cool, covid happened, international travel shut down. Instead they built that - I think they built that in like two months. So. Those are the things that we know they lost.
Ali: Give Rafe Judkins a nobel peace price for not absolutely losing his shit. Oh my- are you se- So the location had been scouted?
Gus: The location had been scouted and confirmed.
Ali: That is a person they hired - they spent money on the location already. They spent money on that person to scout the location for them. All of that has to be scrapped but they still have to pay all that shit. And then they have to build a set from scratch in three months? And they have to get rid of all their practical effects, hire someone to do cgi, have that cgi made in three months -
Gus: Reroute budget to cg for the climactic battle.
Ali: Budget they didn't have because they've spent it on all this other shit!
Gus: On top of that they had to budget money for covid compliance and covid officers.
Ali: Oh my god and that's a fucking nightmare.
Gus: To my recollection that can be as much as 10% of your actual budget right now.
Ali: Yeah.
[asking Nathan about covid stuff at theatre right now]
Ali: Well and something that we're seeing in tv right now is having to cast three actors for a part in case two of them get covid.
Gus: Or one of them gets covid and one of them gets a better job.
Ali: Yeah, exactly. So we'll call these people and we'll go - so you're on hold. Basically. But we can't stop them for going to look for other jobs because we're not paying them to be on hold. So we're having to cast three actors for one role. It's a nightmare.
Gus: Here's a practical example for that - I don't have confirmation for this, to my understanding this is a rumor, but a fairly substantiated rumor. The character of lord Yakota was originally cast, to my understanding, as lord Ingtar. Which, book readers may recognize that name. They had to stop down for covid, somewhere in that interim the actor who played lord Yakota was offered a larger part on another television show and took it, and they renamed his character lord Yakota. Because Ingtar is a recurring character, or a character who will appear later in the series. Yakota is a character they created for the show. But I guess they had already filmed or he had already signed a contract?
I'm gonna stop there but like Ali says a bit later: you have it all figured out, then a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic hits and you lose everything for your resolution episode? Yeah. The stress must be immense. I will miss what we could have had - all those three things we lost sound really cool - but I'm really impressed with them for still making an episode I really liked.
I'm gonna continue listening now.

Another Lovestruck English Lesson 👩🏫: Rafe 🌹, season 1, set 4
What a totally wonderful surprise to love this route as much as I do. I think now that many of us have at least read one of the 3 precious routes, it helps that you can focus entirely on the LI without the Gordian knot of the premise as a hinderance.
Rafe's route is quite dark. I imagine a route with MMC would be somewhere along the lines of him, with his very bright and warm personality, pulling Rafe towards the light. But his relationship with fMC is very different from a lot of what we've seen before. Rafe's dark side is tempting fMC who has her own demons of violence and anger to deal with. I find it super interesting and look forward to seeing how it continues.
Alliteration: "sinful smile splitting". That /s/ sound so soft, the release of air through the teeth, almost a hiss. Snakes are symbols of seduction and temptation so it would be completely appropriate here. And then the flash of "canines", something animalistic and dangerous.
I love these compound adjectives. "Hawk-sharp" and "honey-sweet" (grammatically they don't need the hyphen since they come after the noun but that's nit-picking)
Hawk-sharp: bird imagery, hawks are intelligent with excellent vision. Rafe misses nothing. Honey-sweet: strongly sweet, tempting, natural.
Beautiful example of enumeration or the listing of items: her name from his is a curse (dark, overwhelming) a benediction (heavenly, a prayer) and a plea (on the edge of something, begging)
All these elements rolled into one word. Gorgeous.

It took Rafe some time to understand the aspects of regressing but after you explained it to him he started to do more research on his own, and maybe buying some stuff online he thought you would like, to show his support.
You told Rafe that regressing is just how you cope with past trauma you endured during your childhood.
He understood how important it is for your little self to feel safe and protected, knowing it's not for everyone to see and felt honored that you finally got the courage to talk about it with him. That you feel safe enough in his presence to show your most vulnerable side.
Growing up at the cut with abusive parents took quite a tool on you and as you found out about the term age regression it was clear to you it's what you needed to cope or what you deserved to have.
Rafe was beyond anxious that he somehow mess things up by saying or doing the wrong thing that it results in you being little by yourself again.
He felt bad knowing you probably were only little when he would have busy work days or a business trip.
It was a little into the afternoon and you just got out of the bathroom after doing your skincare and Rafe instantly noticed the pastel colored jammies that had little bunnies printed all over them.
He smiled at you softly, internally excited as hell to finally see that side of you and even curious as to how different your behavior is now in this state.
He noticed at the way you fiddled with the hem of your shirt that you're probably even more nervous than him right now, which is totally understandable.
It was already a hard challenge for you to even tell him about it.
Putting his phone aside he waved you over to him.
"Come here, baby. Promise I won't bite ya." He smirked and to see you smile a little was already a triumph to him.
Shyly you shuffled over to the bed, climbing your way up to snuggle into Rafe's side and grasping his shirt in one of your hands.
He wrapped his arms around you, kissing the top of your head when suddenly he remembered what he had hidden under the bed. "Ah- wait a second..."
He reached beside under the bed to pull out a white box with a rather big red ribbon on top of it. You sat up straight when he placed it between you both. "I- uh...thought you might like it and if not that's totally fine."
You haven't even opened it yet but Rafe certainly knew you cherish absolutely anything he gifted you.
He was just afraid he would go too far with what he bought you but the sparkle in your eyes already eased his nerves a little.
You slowly took of the lid and gasped. There was a lamb stuffie, color books with crayons, and some obviously custom made pacis in your favorite colors you had been dreaming of getting for yourself for a while now.
You instantly teared up, scaring Rafe beyond belief. "Hey, hey...what's wrong kid?" He asked reaching out to cup your face in his large palms, his thumb swiping away the tears that slipped before asking. "Was it too much at once?"
You quickly shook your head which was a little hard with him holding your face. You placed your hands over his, smiling at him. "Dey are happy tears."
"Really? You don't have to say that just to-" you silenced him by leaning forward to peck his lips.
"fank you, Rafey..." You whispered and he pressed his forehead against yours.
"Not for that, baby. I'd do anything to make you happy."
After your sweet moment you only pulled out the stuffie and a paci, placing the box on the ground beside the bed and snuggled back into Rafe's side. You popped in your paci and had the lamb held snugly under your chin while he turned on the TV and looked through Netflix for a movie that suited your headspace, yet he had some difficulty.
"Can you tell me how old you're feeling right now?" He asked and you held up three fingers. After a moment of looking through the kids section he stopped when you squealed quietly and pointed your finger at the screen at seeing your favorite cartoon making Rafe chuckle slightly. "Alright, guess it's gonna be this one."
He put the cartoon on play, an arm wrapping around you to keep you close and kissing your head.
You sighed contently, mumbling sleepily from behind your paci. "Lub you Rafey..."
"I love you more, baby."

Rafe jolts when you wake up with a choked off scream that quickly turns to a sob, he moves from his place in a chair in the corner of the room to the side of your bed in seconds, already reaching to rub your back.
“Shh, shh, no, it's alright. you're fine, shh.” He soothes and pulls you up into his lap when you reach out for him.
“It’s okay baby, you’re alright.” It’s so gentle coming out of his mouth you’d swear it wasn’t Rafe if it wasn’t for the moonlight coming in through the window lighting up his distraught expression scrunched on his face.
It’s been months of this. Of waking up in nightmares that leave you shaking and grasping for Rafe to be at your side, of Rafe doing absolutely everything he can to comfort you, of you trying to adjust to living in Tannyhill with Rafe rather than back on the Cut near Jj’s house where you grew up. You and Jj don’t talk anymore, none of the pogues give you so much as a sparing glance, they’re all too aware of what side you chose when you didn’t flee off that cargo ship with them- you stayed with Rafe.
“I- I was back there-.” Rafe tightens his arms around you with a low shh that you listen to easily, leaning into his touch and letting him start to rock the both of you in place.
“You’re not there, you’re here with me. We’re safe and back in obx, we never have to be there again.” It’s not the fear that was steadily coursing through your veins on that boat that bothers you, really it isn’t, it’s the look of absolute betrayal that spread over all your old friends’ faces.
It’s something you can’t shake and while you know you made the right decision- you, Rafe, and Barry melted the cross down, you’re all rich, Ward isn’t around to bother you, you’re living a better lifestyle than you’ve ever dreamed- it’s still stomach churning to think about the pogues. You don’t even know where they are right now or what they’ve been up to, once they found out you helped melt the cross that was it, you had hope that maybe they’d see where you were coming from but that crossed the line. A line you truly didn’t think existed.
You grew up on the Cut with them, hell you had problems with Kiara when John B introduced her because she had a house on Figure Eight, you never thought you’d end up on this side of island for anything more than a job or a party, you thought you’d be with them no matter what, that nothing that happened would break the bond between you and the other pogues and now-. If you think about this too much you’ll get a headache.
“Shh, go back to sleep. you need it." The feeling of Rafe’s chin hooking atop your head brings you back to where you are.
“I’m sorry.” After that day on the boat where you had clung to Rafe the second you two were alone, crying and scared, slipped so far into your headspace you couldn’t think about that fact that you were hugging around Rafe Cameron- it feels like all you’ve done is apologize to him. The guilt of absolutely everything you do eats at you, no matter what choice you make it ends up hurting someone, you end up being the problem.
“You don’t need to apologize, you didn’t do anything wrong.” Rafe replies with zero hesitation as he always done. He’s never questioned your loyalty to him or said you need to get over what happened with the pogues, in some weird way you think understands it, he doesn’t have anyone but you and Barry left. And even then- Barry betrayed him once, you can still feel the tension between them at times because of it.
“You’re always taking care of me and I’m still a mess.” It took all of two seconds for Rafe to jump into caregiver mode on that boat when he realized that you were regressed, you don’t think he’s ever gotten out of it. Months later and nothing has changed, he’s taken on the role as your caregiver without a single question or judgement made, as if he already knows everything he needs to know to watch you.
“Shush baby, it’s not your fault those pogues put you through so much.”
Logically you know Rafe’s version of events are skewed and probably will be no matter what you say- but it still hurts a little to think he blames them in full. It was your own fault, you went along with every plan they came up with from that first day John B said you guys should go out looking for the royal merchant after that storm, and even if you eventually felt out of your depth and like things were getting too hectic and you wanted to tell them to stop- to go back to how you all were before- it’s still on you.
“They’re never going to forgive me.” You whisper and truly don’t mean to, that was supposed to stay in your head.
“They’ve put you through hell, you aren’t the one that needs to be forgiven, you made the right decision. The smart one.” You nod at Rafe’s serious but soft tone and curl farther into his chest.
“Yeah, I’m glad I have you.” Everything else aside- you’d do anything to keep Rafe around, he’s there for you in a way none of the pogues ever have been and you can’t ignore that.
“You’ll always have me baby.” He presses a kiss to the side of your forehead and lays you both back against the bed, shifting slightly so you can lay over his chest and he can pull a blanket over both of you.
“Try and sleep, I’ll be here when you wake up.” You hum to Rafe, letting your eyes slip shut in contentment. He will be here when you wake up, you know that, you’d never doubt that, and it makes some of that guilt slip off your shoulders.

Blaire Reviews: Emilio Season 1
Disclaimer: This is all my opinion, you are allowed to disagree with me. I encourage you to read this route and form your own opinions.
First Impressions
The first episode begins with the plot already in motion, the MCs having just arrived at the Society meeting. Emilio makes his enthusiasm about the Society well known almost immediately.
FMC is wary of getting involved with the Society and tells MMC he should stay away from them. Which is why when they receive an invitation for brunch, she sends him alone. 10/10 logic on her part.
MMC talks about using the Society's funding to do good for the world and notes that the reactions of the other members seem to be more making fun of him than agreeing with him. Emilio interjects and tells MMC that they should go for a walk. He takes him to the clock tower, where he and the inner circle tell him about time travel.
MMC takes this surprisingly well, seeing as most people would probably freak out or be skeptical upon being told that time travel was real. At least, that's what FMC did when she found out in her routes.
Speaking of FMC, she is left completely in the dark about the inner circle and time travel throughout the entire season and only makes a few appearances. It's almost ironic, considering that she's left her brother in the dark about Richard for basically his entire life. I can't say that I mind FMC's absence, since I personally don't like her that much. She constantly coddles her younger brother, despite him being a grown adult (I think they said he was 27), and was generally annoying. But back to Emilio.
MMC goes back to the clock tower, where the group (to the protests of Emilio) decides that he would be joining Emilio to a couple's retreat to prevent the exchange of power stones. (Also, power stones? Did 12 year old me come up with that name?) Of course, this means that Emilio and MMC have to pretend to be in a relationship. How hard can it be?
Considering that they failed on their first try, very hard. Rafe and Alanna decide to give our lovers some advice on making their relationship seem legit, and Rafe very subtly flirts with MMC.
I think it's safe to assume that we can expect a Rafe route for MMC sometime in the future (my condolences to those who shipped him with FMC, the wlm players are being starved).
Most of the time spent at the party can be summed up to Emilio being a major tease and the Marquess being super creepy. Then there's MMC friend Robert, who looks nothing like any other character we've seen in this series.
MMC is able to help Robert win a power stone, which infuriates the Marquess, who's been rigging the games the entire time. So he kills Robert and takes the power stone back.
Emilio and MMC go back to the present, and the inner circle tells a horrified MMC that such things happen and that they have to act like nothing happened. What I don't like is how harsh the inner circle was to MMC when he doubted Richard being a bad person. While it's true that he needs to learn to accept that fact, there's a difference between tough love and just being an asshole. Thankfully, Emilio steps in and tells them off for it.
When Emilio and MMC go back to the party, the Marquess has the stone he took from Robert, claiming that he won it from Robert in a private game. During the evening, the Marquess shows interest in MMC's ring and offers to bet him for it in a private game, which MMC accepts.
MMC ends up winning the game, which infuriates the Marquess, and he attempts to kill MMC. Emilio steps in, followed by other guests, and the Marquess claims that MMC tried to seduce him. Emilio and MMC convince the other guests that they should perform a ritual to reveal if the Marquess killed Robert for the stone.
The ritual is performed, the Marquess is revealed to have murdered Robert, and the other society members strip him of his title. The inner circle celebrates the victory, and Emilio opens up a little more.
When MMC returns to the clock tower the next day, he finds out that he and Emilio will be going to the 1900s (I'm assuming since films grew in popularity around the mid-1900s), and MMC will have to seduce Emilio. (Fake relationship; the sequel)
Final Thoughts
After the wonderful premiere of IHS with Cassius and Alanna, (see my review here) I didn't have the best expectations for the series. But the little we saw of Emilio in those routes made him seem likable, which made me hopeful that his route would be better. Emilio surpassed all of my expectations.
We got the same incredible writing from the other routes, with much better chemistry between the MC and LI. Hopefully, future seasons of IHS will be more like this one. Now, I'm not saying that Alanna and Cassius's seasons were horrible (definitely a lot of room for improvement), but IHS might have made a better impression if it premiered with Emilio.
Overall Rating: 8/10
