Anime of the day: Chio-chan no Tsuugakuro
Alt Title: Chio's School Road
Released: 2018
Walking to school is such drudgery. However, if you are Chio, then walking to school is a daily adventure. You see Chio is a normal student who stays up too late playing video games and is always running late to school. To combate her potential tardiness, Chio takes a different path to school every day. Now you might be wondering what adventures she finds on her path to school and here is a sample: motorcycle gang leaders, kabaddi players, kids with balloons, and simple things like construction. But, with the help of her friends Yuki and Manana, Chio will do anything possible to avoid being tardy.

I think the trick to doing the symbolic lightning effect is to fuzz-out the lightning so it’s edges aren’t too sharp.
And for the fourth panel, I had to tinker around to mimic this effect too.
As always, thanks for stopping by.
