happy birthday scooby! “what a night for a knight”, the very first episode of “scooby doo, where are you?” aired on cbs for the very first time on september 13th, 1969, at 10:30 am eastern time. i missed the exact second scooby was born to the world but i still celebrated the day! i did my makeup and wore a scooby shirt and socks and earrings and even based my rings off of mystery inc. i love you, scooby. thanks for being my special interest for so long 🫶

jfk: hes pan. “if theres a hole, theres a goal!” -jfk, probably /hj. he genuinely felt something for joan when they dated, but he knew that she wasnt gonna stay for long. also hes a mullet-haver. sry i dont make the rules!! hes dating abe (im right about this. i am and im not arguing.)

joan: genuinely the only character in the entire show that i think is 100% only into men. i know that might get me into some drama but idc! shes only shown attraction to men!!! but also to counterpoint that, i think he’s genderfluid and doesn’t care about pronouns. she felt something for jfk, but that feeling was Horny. she really only wanted to date jfk for the sex. which, if you look at season 2, is pretty much canon. he has a fat crush on abe, still, but when jfk gets with him, she decides that she’s done with crushes and dating for a while.

abe: hes bisexual. he is and im right! his crush on joan was one of those things where you convince yourself to like someone but in reality you only think of them as a friend. he ACTUALLY has a crush on jfk but he doesnt realize that until joanfk break up (rivals to lovers moment?) after breaking up with cleo after prom, they don’t talk for a bit, but once cleo realizes she’s a lesbian she decides to befriend abe again, and the two of them plus frida form a cute little friend group and they gossip. also abe lets them give him makeovers cuz why not!

cleo: shes a lesbian. she never showed genuine attraction to a man until john dark, and even then, it was because he was actually joan in disguise. she only wanted to date these guys for power and popularity. so when frida enters the picture, cleo isnt sure how to feel. shes confused and weirded out and she doesnt know how to express those feelings. so she flirts. it starts off as a joke, like a “hey shawty bae we’re just besties but i’d kiss you” to an actual genuine crush. also she gets a better mom when shes unfrozen. because she deserves it.

gandhi: hes asexual and bi (fem pref). hes dating marie curie :) theyre cute :)!!! im not counting season 2 as canon for this, so he got unfrozen along with everyone else. he has this whole enemies thing with topher, but he doesnt consider topher his enemy. topher considers gandhi a rival but not the other way around. gandhi thinks topher should chill out a bit, but considers him as a friend.

i might expand on this later actually cuz right now im like burnt out and my brain is fried from staying up till 5am (oops.) anyways i have a BUNCH more if you want them :)

omg okay!! (also, keep in mind that i havent actually seen breaking bad ever and it was just me thinking “haha this character has the same name and looks like another, more popular character from this series!!!1!1!1!!!1!1!1”)

so it was really just me at 3am acting sleep deprived and trying to make my bf laugh but now that ive thought about it like? it actually makes sense?

jess in bridge to terabithia is a shyer, more quiet kid. he comes from a poor family (case in point, he has to wear his older sisters pink adidas, which is a problem for him because he lives in a small, misogynistic, mostly white populated town). he’s also characterized to be into history, when his music teacher took him on a private field trip (which was weird and gross but a different story. it wasnt implied pedophilia or anything like that, it was probably just surface level, but it felt weird to me). he loves to draw (he’s not that good but he’s also a middle schooler sooo) and he’s the fastest runner in his school, even faster than the 8th graders.

and then leslie fucking DIES and i know that in the movie it shows jess dealing with grief and handling it well BUTTTTT i think that he was repressing it until he was older so he could try to live a normal-ish childhood. so when he’s an adult, he tries to cope with his grief. but he’s in a worse place mentally and it causes him to go a little crazy and work with walter to make meth (again, i havent seen breaking bad, so correct me if im wrong.)

and this probably doesnt make any more sense to you, anon, whoever you are, but i think if youve seen breaking bad then you might understand at least a little bit more as to where im coming from :)

okay so i don’t think anyone anyone is gonna see this but the other night i was watching bridge to terabithia and jess reminds of jesse pinkman. like. from breaking bad.

for reference:

and maybe it’s just a coincidence that they just so happen to have the same first name, and that they look alike. and dress alike. and that the timeline somewhat matches up. but i think that bridge to terabithia and breaking bad are in the same cinematic universe.
