Messy design notes:

I have mixed feelings over his design. On one hand, the outfit itself looks cool... and on the other hand it turned out to be nothing like what I had envisioned in the beggining 😭 I wanted to stick with muted colors, in the vibes of that pic next to howleen's I guess, but it's like Ruggie's design had a mind of its own, and would always lean to more punk-looking no matter how hard I tried to avoid it, which don't get me wrong- punk style does fit him well, the problem is that I had it reserved for another character already, and I wanted to repeat themes as little as possible between entries of this project.. that just may be my perfectionist side speaking though, and there is no reason why I shouldn't post this version here for the time being! If I don't get tired of working on this series by the time I finish all the main cast's designs, then I suppose I could try to make an alternative version of Ruggie with a slightly different theme! I'd do the same with Jamil's entry since he is yet another character I have mixed feelings about the design lol

Aaaanyway, the mood for chupacabra Ruggie is grunge/thrifted fashion with diy details he would add to make his looks feel unique to him I think? The spikes on his skin, although he can partially control (?) them, still get stuck on cloth every now and then. Nearly all items of his closet are a bit torn from it, but he doesn't mind all that much. I got no particular designs for the pins and badges he wears, maybe except for the brazilian flag and the trans pin which I rlly wanted to include somewhere on his clothes whsdbdshewbdi

The chupacabra's appearance vary from place to place, but for this, I based his looks on how I personally grew up hearing and imagining this creature to be like! Baisically a fucked up looking dog, sometimes with spikes and scales on its body? Yeah 👍

And he remains the same personality-wise in the AU, pretty much! At the moment I can't think of many fun facts or character quirks for him, aside from how impossible it is to take a selfie with him, much to Cater's dismay. He swears he doesn't do it on purpose! The moment the camera clicks his body moves on its own to be out of frame. Ruggie's entire instagram (or whatever the monster high equivalent of that may be) account are either pictures of a moving blur or a vaguely distinguishable sillouette of him, taken from far away and zoomed in 10x

OKAY so ive been very aggressively thinking about this for like a week, and now that goldstar's boss phase designs are out i feel ts high time to share it

SOOO ive been thinking about the whole "father's execution" soundtrack (i think thats what you called it?? yes i scrolled through the entire tag ever since i found this au im a little insane), and well i don't exactly have the composing chops to make it, i can still at least imagine how it would sound!

since this is a swap au, i assume that means everyone's respective leitmotifs would swap with their roles. people seem to associate clover (in this context rover) with either the "justice" or the "enemy retreating" motif, but theres also the bassline from the yellow soul phase in your best nightmare. i feel we could rule out usage of "enemy retreating" since thats def more a no mercy route related motif, and rover didnt do any killing, they're the one that got killed (SORRY 😭). but, i feel i'd swap the ketsukane/kanako motif with justice, since it's also very prominent in showdown! at one point, really reinforces that starlo and rover are family :]

as for the other motifs, obviously showdown will be a prominent one, and forlorn (which is actually already in a mother's love, believe it or not! its hard to pin down but theres a hint of it) would also be prominent. mo has his own mo-tif (ha), so we know it swaps with protocol. fireheart's motif is a bit harder to pick out, seeing as the ketsukanes all share a single motif, but i can pretty freely assume that fireheart and kanako arent related in this au for obvious reasons. maybe the other half of the ketsukane motif would play there?? not sure, haven't thought too hard on that one yet.

I’m sorry in advance.

Everything in him feels at war with himself. The need to follow orders, the urge to give in to the instinctive feeling that tells him not to. Part of his mind telling him to not hold his punches, that he has a mission here, his heart constricting painfully at the sight of sad blue eyes and a bruised, bloody face.

He feels so off balance, so unmoored, he doesn’t know what to do. That’s a first, or at least a first for as far back as his memory goes. He always has orders, knows instinctively to follow them or… But now, he’s torn, confused. He doesn’t understand what’s happening to him.

The man below him just lays there, taking the hits as they come. He wants to scream at the Captain to put up a fight, to not just let the Asset kill him. Because he will, it’s all he’s good for. He’s never wanted to, he doesn’t think, but he knows it’s what he’s supposed to do here. He can’t fail. “You’re my mission,” he screams out, and he knows he’s just trying to convince himself of that right now, because he isn’t sure of anything anymore.

The man’s face is familiar in a way, even battered and bruised. His voice wrenches something loose in the asset too, but not enough to give him any sense of clarity. He feels the frustration with all these muddled thoughts starting to get the best of him, no longer the mission focused Asset he’s been made into. Or maybe always has been. He doesn’t know, and that makes him act like a cornered animal, lashing out.

If his mission could just stop, stop talking, stop looking at him with eyes full of hurt, eyes that he feels piercing his soul. But the captain doesn’t. He keeps fucking talking.

“Because I’m with you ‘till the end of the line,” the man finally croaks out. The Asset feels like something inside him breaks, memories rushing to the front of his mind, so strong and vivid, he feels paralyzed by them. He doesn’t recover quickly enough to catch the Captain before the helicarrier breaks apart further and he falls through the cracks, into the river. The sight of it so achingly familiar he wonders if he’s been here before.

(A fleeting thoughts tells him he has, but the perspective is off - was he the one falling?)

He doesn’t think for too long when he finally comes unfrozen, and just jumps after the man. As he dives into the river, as he tries to focus on dragging the man to the surface, he tries to push away the rush of memories that flood his mind. He doesn’t recognize any of them, unfamiliar images flashing before him, doesn’t know why this is happening or why he’s going against his orders and trying to save his mission.

(A lie, he does, his heart tells him - shut up, his brain tells it)

He drags the man in uniform to the side of the river bed, taking in the sight of him. The man isn’t breathing. His mission was to kill Captain America, so maybe he’s been successful, but it does nothing to ease his fear like it usually does. Instead, a different type of fear creeps over him, memories of a small boy struggling for air trying to push their way through his messy thoughts, no matter how much he tries to stop it. He can’t handle that right now.

When his mission - Stevie, his traitorous brain tells him - splutters out water, coughing roughly, the Asset finally feels like he can breathe again. He ignores the voice in his head that tells him to stay, to make sure the man is okay, and stumbles away from the body. The man is sure to be found, and when he is, the Asset can’t be there.

He feels guilty, but he doesn’t know why. This is for the best.

(He does know why. A vow. ‘Till the end of the line)

They're gonna fight the person that [Y/N] ends up being lovey-dovey to 😭💀 Imagine it's Childe though! The man would be rubbing it in the other men's faces and would always have his arms wrapped around the reader's waist while rubbing the tip of his nose against the reader's cheeks and peppering kisses all over the reader's face. He would take not-so-subtle glances at the other men while the reader is snuggling up to Childe, clinging to him, etc. The men will be glaring at Childe while Childe is so smug about it. Albedo will be trying to find a cure to it ASAP.

If it was Albedo, the man would be a blushing mess! 🥺 He would be so shy and the tip of his ears would be so red every time the reader shows him affection, cuddling up to him, talking to him in a baby voice (idk why, but apparently it's common for couples to talk to each other in baby voices at the beginning of their relationship), act all shy and lovey-dovey around him. The men would be jealous, yes, but they know that Albedo won't do some funny business like how Childe would because Albedo won't rub it in their faces. Albedo will be finding a cure, yes, but sometimes he will stall on it because he wants to bask in the reader's affection.

hey! i totally understand where you’re coming from. my main focus on this blog is angst and smut which is stated in my pinned, the moment you get onto my acc so i did think that that option would win or at least almost win but it seems like lots of people like angst only if it has a happy ending. hurt/no comfort is off the table for them djsbdksj

Heartslabyul is a dorm known for its longer list of rules that its students are expected to abide by. Should they break even one, the person will be scolded harshly, or even Beheaded if it goes too far.

almost every member of Heartslabyul, apart from the riddle, wear a face marking shaped like one of the four playing card suits: heart, spade, diamond, or clover. These markings vary in size and location, but most of the Heartslabyul students have theirs behind their ear or under their eyes. The students also appear to be assigned a specific playing card to represent them, whose suit corresponds to the marking on their face. These cards appear on their dorm uniforms.

Heartslaybul is a dorm know for its longest set of rules for a dormitory, other than Pomfiore. MOST. heartslabyul students have to follow, Most of the rules consisting bedtimes , clubs , or other things. If a student breaks one, that specific student will be punished, or beheaded

Almost every member of heartslaybul , have a marking on their face, or a part of their body. Mostly hands, Legs , or arms. The uniform is neutral, Members are not aloud to wear anything innapropriate such as.. : R34 Hoodies, shirts n stuff like that ( Sorry idia😭). headphones are aloud during study groups and/or clubs. Members uniforms don't have to correspond to the students marking fully, other than tiny patches or pins.

RIDDLE ROSEHEARTS { he/she}

riddle is filipino, and japanese. He is autistic ( obviously 😭), hes good at masking it until the topic of hedgehogs come up. Riddle used to be in the gargyole club along with trey, malleus and lillia. Riddle is now in the light music club with Lillia, Yuu, cater and sometimes even leona when he isnt feeling like absolute shit💀. after riddles overblot riddle became More softer with his punishments but still beheading people.. Mostly floyd , And the Adeuce duo. Riddle sings alone in his room whenever he feels like it( i added it cause i felt like it💀), He is also very single . ABSOLUTELY HATES COOKING.

trey is black and chinese. trey had dyed his hair with riddle a few times To see how he would look, He looks suprisingly good with blond/purple. trey has adhd and is quite bad at focusing but still tries his hardest. due to gettinv into fights at school protecting riddle, His glasses had broken a few times, So riddle got him some heartslabyul themed glasses. Red, roses, clovers and more. And trey was absolutely estastic. Its been a while since hes gotten gifts from other people so he was happy. trey is still in the gargyole club . [ angsty 😭😭] trey has really bad sensory issues so he uses his magic to help it. magic usually didnt work so he spent hours in his room overworking himself to fix His sensory issues, it never worked. then he realized he was stuck with them.

Sooo the answer your question, everyone's outfits are familiar to their Unit Outfits, but slightly different/upgraded in some ways? I'm not much of an artist, so I can't really doodle them as well as I can describe them, but I have them all listed as a type of overall theme! Every Magical Hero team has an aesthetic to match because they're all made for each other!

I'll list the aesthetics I wrote down in my notes:

Leo/need Outfits: School Punk Academy Uniform (Colorful, Plaid, Star Pins), Similar to the Virtual Singers' School SEKAI uniforms, but personalized to their usual outfits.

More More Jump! Outfits: Military Marching Band Idol Aesthetic (White, Color Accented, Clover Pins), Think formal parade wear, with epaulettes and the whole works! That kind of vibe on their usual uniforms.

Vivid BAD SQUAD Outfits: Athletic Street Fashion (Cyberpunk, Light Weight), Sweats and cargos, Pockets and zippers, Kind of like if the the Close Game/OFFLINE outfits but with more vibrant color than mostly black.

Wonderlands x Showtime Outfits: Royal Fantasy Dress (Flashy, Fairytale-esque), Honestly they're closest to their usual unit wear but with more frills and pomp, Aesthetically somewhere between Revolutionary Girl Utena and Cardcaptor Sakura?

Nightcord at 25:00 Outfits: Gothic Lolita Dress (Dark, Edgy, Frilled), Very similar to their usual unit wear but with with more lace and gothic aesthetic, Kind of doll-like in a way but not so much that it gets in the way of battle mobility.

I kinda of wish I could properly get what's on my mind onto a canvas, but it would be hard to get it across just right. Maybe one day I'll edit existing outfits to share them? But for now, all I have is what's written above. 😓

honestly?? it’s hard to pin point cuz we all go thru a lot of growth and change. but the closest I’m gonna get to accuracy is this:

ford is winter, stan is autumn and im spring

now, my reasons are mainly just “ ✨✨the vibes ✨✨” but I’ve got a couple of solid thoughts (i think)

ford and stan are more colder seasons mostly due to their pasts and attitudes in life. ford held a lot of bitterness and was pretty adverse to letting people into his life, (apart from stan, fiddleford and bill were his only friends.) one cld argue that ford shld be autumn cuz he’s focussed on changing the world for the greater good, but while his intentions were good, what he wrought was quite the opposite (because of bills manipulation)

THUS he blamed himself and drew into himself SO MUCH that he shut most ppl out to fix what he had done, and he suffered 30 years of crazy inter dimensional adventures. u cld say his life was pretty “cold” and “isolating”…..much like winter can be. BUT!!! there’s always time to sit near smth warm and get all cozy, and that alludes to him finally reuniting w his family and defeating bill, going on to live a happy life.

now STAN is autumn cuz that season reflects the “change” from warmer weather to cooler weather. this can symbolise Stan’s change in life when he got kicked out. from being a kid looking towards a happy childhood dream, to being a kid out in the harsh world with a broken heart and an impossible mission.

this also alludes back to the twins being both colder seasons, but autumn is next to warmer weather in the season roster. this can relate to how Stan is secretly a softie and his want/need to be loved by people, and that he’s one heartfelt convo away from opening up even just a little bit. meanwhile ford is a bit harder to crack. a bit colder.

now I’m spring, mostly because of the attitude i aim to deliver. spring is sometimes associated with “happier” things and often gets that praise for ending winter. the days get longer, flowers bloom, it snows and rains less, and warmer weather arrives. it cheers ppl up, and that’s smth my s/i likes to do. it’s a value of hers.

bad things may happen but i try to keep the optimism up, cuz someone’s gotta, right? and spring is all abt change too, but from cooler weather to warmer weather. This alludes to stan and I having a lot more similarities, two sides of the same coin sort of thing, while ford and I can be opposites in certain aspects of our personalities.

but our connection is still very strong and true, because the transition between winter and spring is ESSENTIAL in the rebirth of nature. and our opposites don’t clash, they blend!! like the seasons! speaking of rebirth, it basically means the cycle of life begins anew, giving things another chance. and that’s what my s/i believes in!!! and that’s what she encourages stan and ford to do with themselves and each other!! because there’s never a deadline to reconcile and forgive!! there’s always another chance, a new cycle, a new life!!! and that new chapter in their lives where they sail on their boat together, that’s their endgame!!! fresh and new!!

ALSO ford is blue, stan is red and I’m purple and THOSE COLOURS CAN RELATE TO OUR SEASONS!!!!

What's your stage name? What does it mean?

Lizzie Blaze. My middle name is Elizabeth and my partner's stage name ends with Blaze as well (based on his native name, Blazing Path) so I stole it lmao.

When did you make your debut?

October of 2019! I can't believe I'm headed up on five years doing this :')

Why do you do it?

For the rush, honestly. I grew up loving burlesque and old school pin up and always wanted to try it. It's such a heady, powerful feeling to command a stage. Also for all the shy girls who come up to me after my shows!! They're the best and like my reason to live!!!

Do you ever get stage fright?

I do! Nearly five years in and I still wonder what the fuck I'm doing every time I get on stage.

What's your pre-show ritual?

Panic, run through everything in my head, overthink, and if my sweet angel of a con bestie is there, get fed drinks 😭

First routine?

This is so fucking basic and everyone does this, but Jessica Rabbit 🥲

Last routine?

The last one I did was Miss Frizzle to Hot For Teacher. I loved it, the audience loved it, but my partner did not and kinda got upset with me over it (I went too far, in his opinion. He's a cishet man, so we've grappled with jealousy and internalized toxic masculinity. That's such a toss up! I think either my Vegas showgirl inspired Vulpix routine to a custom mix of Bumps & Grinds by Sonny Lester and Fast Girls by Atom Smith, or my gay ass Daphne Blake routine to Crimson and Clover by Joan Jett (featuring Velma's sweater).

Dream routine?

God what I wouldn't give you have a femme partner to do gay routines with. I would LOVE to do a Loki and Mobius to Casual Affair by P!atD (I already have it choreographed) or a deeply dramatic and skillful Freddy and Nancy routine to the VCTRYS cover of Come To My Window. I also want to do a badass showgirl Oogie Boogie with a burlap blacklight costume that has a big ass bustle, break away corset with bugs, snake eye dice pasties, and a fuck all huge witch hat that has a roulette table underneath.

Favorite costume?

Definitely my Vulpix. I've already said it so much but it's just so showgirl! It's a gold corset, puff sleeve wrap top, open front bustle skirt, boa "tail", gold gloves, black stockings, red garter, and red strappy lingerie. After the aforementioned crisis though, I threw half of it away and I hate myself for it

Favorite prop?

I don't typically use props, but we have this magic act cane that like pops out (I'm so bad at explaining things jfc) that's super fun

When I did a Grinch routine a while back, I had a pair of panties that said "I kissed Santa" 😈

Usually I go for upbeat! But I do love a good slow burn sometimes

Definitely neo-burlesque, because I primarily do cosplay burlesque. But I love adding classic influence with big band jazz and sparkly outfits and classic inspired moves

I actually skipped that step in my burlesque journey? But I host and produce now, so I'll happily jump up and kitten for my cast whenever needed
