Hazy Soft Light / Lightroom Preset

So, I was in the mood to edit some pictures today. In the process, I ended up making this preset.

I was aiming for a "fairytale-esque" style and I definitely think I got that spot on.

This preset has a very smooth light to it, it also skin softens.

I would not recommend using this on EVERY picture but it is definitely a nice preset to have for any soft outdoors pictures. I also tested it on some sports photography and concert photography and it looks really nice on those as well! It has a lot of different uses.

i got a new version of lightroom, as you may have seen me bitching about already, and i’ve been trying to re-edit some old photos because a) I obviously don’t have any new concert shots to work on and i’m starved and b) trying to get the hang of the new format. so this photo looked good in editing, but then when i exported it, it had TONS of grain and noise, as you can see. and i was like, well what the fuck. so i went back to try to re-export it at a high quality or different type of file but. as it turns out. SOME of the photos i edited have reverted back to their original states in the lightroom file. (like, normally if you pull up a pic you edited in lightroom, via lightroom, it’s still in edit mode as it was where you left off. but this was back to it’s unedited form, all sliders set to 0.)

this one was a result of me fucking around and i dont know how to recreate it. so that sucks. i know i have said this many times on this blog before, but once again, technology gets worse over time. the old lightroom worked fine; i only updated to get presets and because some raw files i downloaded weren’t usable so i thought that i might need a newer version to open them. i haven’t even tried those files yet so cant confirm that that was the issue.
