Upgraded my cutting table setup. 😁 Still a work in progress—I have someone local designing me a permanent working table with nice shelves and storage. In the meantime, I found a banquet table for just $25 and got it propped up using folding table raisers. And today my 3’x6’ SpeedPress cutting mat arrived. Haven’t used the mat yet, but I’m gonna hope the quality is good and excited to try it out. 🤩 Definitely gonna be nice having such a large working surface. My parents are homophobic, transphobic, ect and i'm bi and genderfluid. i feel lost, i went through depression and i have anxiety, any advice for me please?

Hang in there. I mean it. Things will get so much better when you're old enough to move out. You can cut them out (or give them a chance to accept when it's safe to do so).

Things will change, one day you will be able to leave them behind. Things that I found help are

-silently rebel. Wear bride nail polish when they're out. Have a small flag that you can hide with no risk of them finding. Draw subtle pride things. Have subtle pride phone wallpapers. Sneak out to pride. Have a secret blog/account under different emails. Follow other queer people on those accounts. That kind of thing. It makes things a bit easier.

-find friends (irl or online) who support you and use the right pronouns. People on here have helped me so much!

-do as much as you can to feel better. Like cuttingt your hair in the style you want if you can "just to experiment".

-watch gay shows when you're on incognito mode on Google. It's nice to see yourself represented.

I know it's tough. I believe in you, and I'm so proud of you for getting this far!!! You're incredibly strong and brave and I promise it will get better soon.

Solar punk action week so far:

I've finally finished putting my storageshelves and closets together for the cuttingtable in my sewingroom. I just got my bookcase today so I will be setting that up tomorrow. Then all I will need is a little sidetable kind of thing and a tabletop for the cutting table. The sidetable Im hoping to thrift and for the tabletop Im gonna ask a local carpenter who works with reclaimed wood.

So far about 8 or 9 of my seeds have sprouted, all sunflowers. This year I am working in project Bastard Sunflower 2.0. Where I try to raise as many different kinds of sunflowers as possible and have them do the nasty with eachother and hopefully collect seeds and grow even weirder sunflower bastards next year. Last year I planted too late and there were no more pollinators. This year I started as early as possible.

I've also helped out someone through tumblr with money problems. I was in a very similar situation years ago and for me this was a chance to be the person I wish I had had.

I am also working on several baby clothes and soft toys for my niece and Im slowly collecting lovely fabrics for summer, I want to try and make most of my summer wardrobe myself this year.

My compostbin also arrived so in the next few days Im gonna put that in the garden and start composting! Very exciting!
