✦ Wears a referee whistle around his neck, but never uses it. To get people’s attention, he instead whistles with his first and middle fingers in his mouth.

✦ He turns around to hide his face whenever he takes off his glasses to clean them. This habit has led to many rumors among students.

✦ He makes students do push-ups if they are ever tardy to his class, sports practice, or any class he happens to substitute for.

✦ He will also make students he catches out and about in the hallways without a pass do push-ups.

✦ Clicks his tongue aloud when deep in thought, students tease him for it.

✦ Will slap students on the back of the wrist with a ruler/cane if they’re possessed of a poor attitude.

✦ Will whistle loudly in the ear of a student that dozes off in his class.

✦ Alternatively, will smack his textbook down on a sleeping student’s desk.

✦ His staff badge allows him to access areas of the school campus that he has no business being in, but no one really questions it.

Magic Mint Cookie: A Magic/Supernatural Headcanon

Cyril is very superstitious and doesn’t really have a solid grasp at all of how magic works. He can understand that it’s beneficial in many ways, that it takes time and dedication to learn, that some are more predisposed to it than others, and that it has different ‘sources’ - but he can’t wrap his head around how it’s harnessed and the physical manifestations that result.

Aether doesn’t flow well through Cyril’s body - hardly at all, in fact. Healing him takes time, and often relies more mundane methods to be effective. He’s very sensitive to the presence of magic, but cannot manipulate it himself. Just being around magic, or a magic user (or even someone with strong aether) for a prolonged amount of time can leave him with a massive migraine.

None of this really bothers him, if asked about it he just says that magic doesn’t come naturally to him, and the conversation moves on.

The exception is when he has to face off against any kind of magic user in combat. He hates having to fight mages in any form, because they cause him a lot of physical pain, and he has to be extremely careful not to get hit.
