Headcanons: ROTTMNT Turtles Chirping (and Other Turtle Sounds)🎤🐢✨✨ pt. 1

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: If you're actually taking care of a real turtle, please be mindful of the noises they make! Chirps can come from stress, water temp, respiratory infection, etc. Yes, they can come from non-concerning reasons, but just be sure. IRL turtles don't have vocal chords! And also, several of these traits are taken from very different turtle species than our boys here!

Now that that's said, on to the headcanons!

The turtles can all make turtle sounds! Being half-human mutants (with actual vocal chords, teeth, human saliva, etc.) and isolated from other turtles besides each-other, their range/capabilities of and reasons for using these sounds differ— sometimes greatly—from their IRL turtle species counterparts.

The turtles accidentally created their own sort of pseudo-language that they use to communicate with each other. Chirps, trills, hums, clicks, etc. When words won't come out or they don't feel right to use, when traditional ASL— even their modified TSL (turtle sign language)— wouldn't suffice, it's something they easily fall into. Almost as easy as thinking itself.

Besides unconscious/automatic responses + occasional stimming, they hadn't used their turtle sounds as much as they did as kids. They still use it a couple times a day, typically over the dinner table, during movies, or whenever there was a turtle pile. But after Shredder, and especially after the Kraang's attempted invasion, it's something they've began to do more again.

When the turtles still couldn't form sentences, Splinter had went ham on trying to understand what each means. After guides on pet turtle care didn't do much for him, he was attentive and assumed based off their more humanlike behaviors that accompanied these sounds.

Nowadays, Splinter can't really decipher most of the new noises his sons make. He can still understand some smaller phrases: "Happy," "Sorry," "I want my family," "Stay," "Love you," "Scared," "Yes," "No," and "Hungry!" to name a few.

Raph didn't make many turtle noises when he was a baby, mostly making more humanlike ones. Though he did mew a lot when he was sick or if he had nightmares in his slumber. In addition to that, there's a specific low-frequency hum that only the other turtles could actually hear; typically made during sleepy and/or someone stressful moments. It's both an "I'm right here" and "Come here please" message.

Donnie grunted, though it came off more like a huff as a little one. His chirps sounded more like "cht. cht. cht." When he's thinking hard or feeling a little overwhelmed, he'll also emit a low-frequency hum, one only he could hear— unless he's spending time underwater with Leo, then he could hear it as well. He also hissed a lot. Especially on the days where he's clingy. There's 3 types of Donnie hisses: mildly bothered, "you're pushing it," and "I will actually bite you." How you figure out which is which? For Splinter, trial and error.

Baby Leo really worried Splinter because he kept chirping all the time. He thought that Leo had a respiratory issue and/or was under heavy stress from the sewers' conditions. It really didn't help that Leo got sick the easiest. And when distressed, he'd cry out sounding almost like an upset cat— not really helping with the respiratory infection theory. Turns out, Leo just chirped as a general form of communication, especially when he was feeling excited or happy.

Like Raph, Mikey didn't make a lot of turtle-like noises as a baby— but when he grew into a toddler— he did it a lot. He wore his emotions on his sleeve, and almost every sentence with punctuated with an companying sound. Usually clicks or something similar to a "yep!"/"yp!" sound with his beak.

Leo and Donnie were the most turtle-talkative out of them as babies n' tots. Heck, sometimes, the Disaster Twins™ would sometime just mimic each other's mews and chirps out of boredom (to which Mikey would follow suit, and eventually Raph too).

Splinter, Leo, and Mikey are the only ones who've ever heard Raphael hiss so loud and deep that it turned into a growl.

Raphael is the only one who's ever heard Leo hiss pre-Kraang.

Early on into knowing them, April asked about it. The day after they explained it to her, Donnie and Mikey began working on a "guide" comic together for some of the "basics." It's 40 pages long when they give it to April. As the years passed, she catches on pretty quickly to the various sound cues, and she can have short conversations without them needing to use words.

Casey Junior can understand them pretty well due to being raised around them— when he was small, he would try to mimic those noises (to varying results).

He may or may not have almost cried when he was in the Hamato-family-sleepy-pile and could feel the deep, comforting, low frequency sound reverberating from Raph as he and Leo rested against him— something he hadn't felt since he was just old enough to form memories. And he may have actually cried when Leo sleepily chirped back some sort of unintelligible, but content, response. They were peaceful.

thinking about lucifer again and how much i hate the “sadist” image he has.

in the words of the lovely kazuya yamashita (lucifer’s va) in what is probably my favorite otaku fm episode: i believe lucifer thinks about his brothers constantly. honestly love how much kazuya seems to understand lucifer’s character pretty well.

and it doesn’t take that much digging to realize how much lucifer cares about his family. he signed away the freedom he just earned to save his sister. he kept it a secret from his brothers to save them the hurt - thinking it’d be better if that burden fell to him alone. he hid belphie away in the attic to prevent diavolo from finding out belphie wanted to destroy humanity - and face punishment that’s likely worse than death for it. lucifer relies on mammon the most, the one who he seems to be the strictest with. and honestly, i’d be strict too if the last time i rebelled against authority i lost my sister. lucifer is strict with them to protect them, to protect his family.

and i keep thinking about mammon who expressed to have no regrets following lucifer after the celestial war. about beel who sees it as his duty to follow and protect lucifer. about levi being introduced to anime and manga through lucifer.

it’s really no wonder that the way to lucifer’s heart is getting along with his family.

this is only the tip of the iceberg, and there’s so much more to say! but yeah, i think the sadist label is a huge mischaracterization.

I love the use of recorded sound in Burrow's End, but also as a recorded sound cataloger I'm entertained by the thought of what media would have been available in 1962. Dr. Winnebacker [?] is recording himself probably on reel-to-reel tape, that somehow wasn't damaged by the radiation that affected the stoats (meaning the radiation didn't produce a lot of heat, and they were stored somewhere with relatively low humidity) - a plausible and fun thought. But even more interesting is the thought of there being video in 1962. Video tape would have been brand new, 2" tape was used in the mid-50s for television, but still not widely available for home use. (Also for reference, your average VHS is 3/4" which means if they are videotape the reels are HONKIN BIG THINGS that would probably take multiple stoats to lift.) If it wasn't that, then they have some kind of system in place using reel-to-reel film, which has its own problems (and is, again, GIANT to a stoat).

Yeah, okay, I'm looking too closely at the details, because this happens to be where I work. But it's fascinating to think about the amount of money and resources Warren Peace nuclear plant had, to have free tape for recording just laying around. Where is this plant? Who is sponsoring their research? What are they doing that gets them such cutting edge tech that isn't at all about the specific thing they're working on?

This is like the only site that doesnt completely mask off demonize NPD its so crazy this constant throwing around of the term narcissist like Is Your Mom A Narcissist? How to Avoid Narcissists. How to diagnose everyone you don't like in your life with Narcissism. The existence of the colloquial term Narcissistic Abuse. And its funny they never say NPD. Thats not their buzzword. Its an issue of nobody taking accountability. Oh you did something that broke my boundary so im diagnosing you with Evil And Unfixable Disorder. (They dont know about neuroplasticity) Yes sure its treatment resistant but that doesnt mean that every case is unfixable and no one with npd will ever be aware of their disorder. Becuase part of the fucking problem is everyrhing online is How To Deal With Evil Narcissistic Parents or Boyfriend or whatever and there is like no education on its core causes and onset that is presented with empathy and understanding and ways to heal. Ive seen someone diagnosed+self aware+healing say it feels like you're sick inside. It feels horrible. It develops in childhood as a defense mechanism. Thats all it is and it makes sense. The core of it is shame and everything is built around it to defend against it and control what triggers it. It hurts others because that's what mental illness does. It's so complicated. It destroys your relationships. People are not required to stay with you when you are doing very real damage to them. The thing is that THERE IS HEALING for npd, but there's so much fucking stigma that finding out how is almoat impossible and you just get told you're evil forever with no cure and everyone should stay away from you forever to protect themselves and you deserve to be alone forever. When one of the keys to healing is always self compassion. Search NPD on instagram explore and tell me how thats possible to even begin to foster with all this buzzword shit out there. Ok. Whatever. I'm specifically going super insane over his relationship w moreau because it's very clear that there Was In Fact some kind of relationship there. like ?!? the thing I'm the most insane about is how moreau seems to get under eliot's skin in a way that none of the other marks they've had can. I'm thinking specifically about the scene when hardison and eliot go face-to-face with moreau for the first time. eliot actually looks nervous, which is a look we haven't seen on him like .. at ALL. his whole THING is being the unrufflable, unshakeable team hitter who doesn't balk at anything, and so seeing him so visibly distressed was SOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a collection of some of my favorite expressions in the ep:

he literally ??? has tears in his eyes in the last one as he's begging parker not to ask what moreau made him do ??? i am ??? in shambles??????

and like. any other character showing this amount of emotion wouldn't even phase me because that's like. not a lot of emotion for someone to show but when it's eliot ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, especially since there were so many microexpressions I couldn't possibly get a screenshot of because they're soo blink-and-you'll-miss-it like ,, jaw ticks and lip trembles and voice trembling and shit like that. because it's eliot, the guy who hardly ever cracks, who's showing this much open emotion, it's the equivalent of someone scream-sobbing onscreen. I'm actively going insane

because it's like. moreau must have had ?? so much power over eliot in the past ???? the way he was acting in that scene, the way he was being So confident and almost...mocking .. taking every opportunity to throw the fact that He Knows Eliot into their faces (saying eliot prefers beer, calling him "old friend," reminiscing about "the old days," etc). he was deliberately trying to get under eliot's skin and the thing that makes me insane is that it WORKED. eliot was already so tense and ready for a fight even before moreau showed up, and it was SO !!! so !!!!!! even when hardison was drowning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! eliot didn't have the luxury of showing his stress and worry on his face because if moreau Knew he was scared for hardison their whole job would be blown!!!!!!!!! and it is SUCH a favorite trope of mine where a character has so force themselves to be impassive while a member of their team (bonus points if it's a S/O!!!!!) is in danger !!!!! so really this concept had me from day ONE

and like. the concept of them being A Thing (tm) romantically before canon. not in a cutesy healthy way but in a "there's 13 layers of manipulation and control and one-sided codependency and moreau was using eliot as a tool and a weapon and it's all about eliot being his possession and eliot was trapped in a cycle of manipulation and wanting so desperately to be wanted and being controlled and even after breaking free from it he still had lasting scars for years" kind of way. for moreau it's all about possession and control and for eliot it's all about having a place to belong even though he's losing parts of himself along the way. because the worst, darkest thing from eliot's past* happened while he was working for moreau, and he didn't tell the team about it. now, that's not really a shocker, because the team lies to and withholds information from each other all the time but !!!! still !!!!! there's been this level of Openness eliot and the team has had in the last few eps I've been watching where like ..... if anyone has any questions abt their past, they'll answer them pretty willingly. but he specifically asked parker not to ask him what he did because he didn't want to tell her !!! (which ALSO makes me insane because .... he literally can't say no to her????????? even though he Doesn't Want Them To Know ,, he fully knew that if she asked he would Tell Her ... aoughhh)

*I don't think they ever confirm what that was but bro.....I Have Theories (tm)

and like !!!!!! eliot being used as a tool by his abuser, and doing the absolute worst things he's ever done in his life, that will haunt him forever, and then even years after leaving moreau behind being shoved face to face with him ??!!?!?! I really hope moreau comes back in later seasons because eliot was DISTRESSED and I was EATING IT UP !!!!!!!!!!!!! and I also have had a LOOONG lasting love for whump/angst tropes where one character has been Controlled And Manipulated by another character and even years later that person still has so much power over them ,,,,,,,,, it's SO.!!!!!!!!

if I take some liberties w all these concepts ,, there's SOOO much potential there. moreau being a "toxic ex" but crank the toxicity up to 11 and throw in a healthy dose of whumper/abuser behavior and he somehow gets a hold of parker and hardison and basically forces eliot to leave the team and come back with him ,, kind of a "you don't belong to anyone but me" kinda deal ,,,,,,, oughhhgogughgghghh

skip black sails season 1 this and skip mash seasons 1-3 that, it simply seems odd to not watch the establishing parts of a story the first time you watch said story because they aren’t as polished as later on (as they’re busy doing the establishing part), under the guise of considering them “less progressive”

#there's something here about yes engage with what you want and how you want depending on your limits and desires #but the way some people frame these things is... very odd #and i think has much less to do with degrees of sexism or violence and much more to do with wanting to skip to the main part of the story #but those parts aren't as good if you don't first go with the opening (which in both of these cases is very good actually)#it's this: if you don't like beginnings of stories much because they're too messy obvs go right ahead #but don't try to frame it as a choice based on morals about the contents of said story #it feels like people really want things to be fanfiction -- oh we already know the world we just want the [insert tropes]#i feel like i see this a lot with season ones and that is the devil talking -- that is the netflix model of binge binge binge #that doesn't let you engage with a slowly building story because you want something big to happen Right Away #there's an awful lot of disclaiming going on -- just watch the fuckn story and draw your own conclusions #if it's not a trigger then people will be fine #this is a sign that i need to go to bed #why in the World would you start with mash s4 when it literally opens with hawkeye's panicked response to trapper's leaving?#and then goes on to show us a hawkeye who is a changed man because of the events of the end of s3 #with characters regularly invoked?#and with relationships established (especially margaret's) that will be explored in-depth now that she's been firmly introduced #in many of her complexities?

despite the awful ad attempt here, i gave it a go and finally finished watching one piece live action and uhhh its actually good?

#this is going to be very subjective so just a disclaimer #there were really good things they did. i even liked a few changes to the story a little better than the og #but some things were really bad imo. and they left out some core scenes that would change a lot about certain stories. at least for me #its kinda sad because most of them are relevant even now after years of ongoing content #for example koby and garp was done so well i loved to see more on how they got to the point they are #but they left out so many good lines that made the crews relationship in both mihawk fight and sanji's beginning etc #some lines being cut off made some scenes fall flat and felt a lot less emotional than it is supposed to be #i'm not trying to be negative because i think for a live adaptation it was great and i really enjoyed it #i even teared up at some points lmaooo (shanks and bellmere... are we even surprised)#though i think if you already know and enjoy one piece that makes it a whole lot better #i hope they continue filming this tbh i wanna see how they will handle future arcs especially knowing what is next from now on #one piece live action #murmurmur

#thoughts #classic 'not all dog people' disclaimer #like despite disliking dogs a lot like a lot i have like #no hate for them you know they're just animals doing their thing #but ooo dog people everyday i'm reminded of my distate for dog people #just like listening to my mother being so mean to our cats but oo so nicey to the dog #shell throw the cats outside under rain and cold (let's not eveb get in the fact that they're allowed outside to begin with ever)#i hate that we have outdoor cats #but like nooo the dog can't go outside with the rain noo :(#like dogs melt peoples brain or something it makes them insufferable #(not all dog people again because you know i know im just)#didn't even get into the whole thing whete they feel so entilted and they should be able to do/go anywhere with their dogs #let them destroy wilderness and terrorize wildlife/pets and people #and if you say anything about it you're such a mean puppy hater WHATever #which my mother also does bc they let Alvin terrorize the cats and when they swipe at him they get punished #and they let him off leash during walks and we have lots of wildlife here which i can assure you doesn't want a huge dog to chase them #not to mention he almost got himself killed when he dove into a tall vegetation filled WITH HOGS #but whatever ok i'm done ranting -_-

My LGBT+ Headcanons

(Frank discussion about sex and sexuality ahead.)

I have once again neglected to actually think of art to do for pride month, but as a consolation, here's an update on my list of LGBT+ headcanons (except when they're OCs, in which case it's just canon).

Notes

*"Genderfucked" just means that their gender identity doesn't easily fit under a specific label, due to complications. It's usually due to the character being non-human and thus existing outside the gender binary by default. In other words, this label means they may not be literally queer depending on your definitions, but they otherwise represent or are informed by a queer identity or experience.

**Bisexuality is trans-inclusive. In the context of this list, I've chosen to use "bisexual" to indicate that the character has some preferences for gender expression, and I'm using "pansexual" to indicate that the character has little to no preference in gender expression. If it's important, then I'll specify what they're attracted to, but it usually isn't.

Examples:

A character that is attracted exclusively to cismen and transwomen would be listed as bisexual.

A character that has no preference for gender, but is exclusively attracted to feminine expressions would also be listed as "bisexual."

A transfemale character that is only attracted to cismen and transmen would be listed as "straight."

***Not all of the characters listed here are what I'd call "positive" representation. Most (I'd say) are, but a handful aren't. Just remember: Depiction is not necessarily endorsement.

OCs

*I'm only listing OCs that I've talked about at least once this year or are important to said OCs), but effectively every OC I have is queer in some fashion.

Kahon (they/them): Genderfucked. As a sentient arcade machine, Kahon doesn't have an assigned gender. They express a feminine identity when acting through Kun3h0, but doesn't particularly identify with any gender. Only attracted to other arcade machines and the characters in them.

Coexistence!Kun3h0 (any pronouns): Genderfucked. In an AU where Kun3h0 is her own character, Kun3h0 is still genderfucked. She was built and designed as a female, but once they gained sentience he said, "fuck that" and went on to do his own thing.

GAB (she/they): Non-binary/Asexual. They're just a little guy.

Carol (he/him): Transman/Asexual. Was gay in life, but becoming a zombie has been a huge damper on his sex life.

The Prince Formerly Known as Frog (us/we): Cisman/Gay. Uses the royal "we" to refer to themselves, but otherwise uses he/him pronouns.

Floats (he/him): Cisman/Gay (closeted). I want to talk more about his relationship with sexuality since it's a core part of his character, but I think explaining it here would be a little too heavy for a list like this.

Spector (he/him and she/her): *Transwoman/Straight. *Identifies as a cismale and uses he/him pronouns at the beginning of the story, but transitions later. This isn't a character I've talked about too much or even really drawn, but she's Floats' business partner and is inspired by the hypermasculine characters you used to find in early FPS games like Doom and Duke Nukem.

Smash Bros/Retro Buddies

Mr. G&W (he/him): Genderfucked/Ace. He's a shape-shifter and normally lacks genitalia, but he was considered male when he was "born" and identifies as male in all forms. Normally, he doesn't go through the trouble of recreating sex organs when he transforms, since his transformations are usually just a means to an end. Consequently, his body doesn't normally produce those kinds of hormones, so his libido is very low. Sex for him is just a bonding activity that he doesn't particularly seek out.

ROB (any pronouns, but usually he/him): Genderfucked/Demisexual. Technically speaking, he was never assigned a gender at "birth." Due to the limited A.I. of the other ROBs making them only capable of addressing people in the first person and Master Hand never needing to address ROB in the third person, ROB effectively had no pronouns while living on the Island of the Ancients. He only answers to he/him pronouns out of convenience since people assumed his pronouns due to his masculine name, but he doesn't particularly identify with any gender. In the human!AU, he would have been born with a vagina, but is still indifferent to gender as a concept for the same reasons. Since he lived on an isolated island surrounded only by people he considered family, and the first new people he ever met tortured and enslaved said family, he grew a great distrust of other people and is only attracted to people with whom he's already bonded with.

Puck (Pac-Man) (he/him): Transman/Pansexual. He was already transitioning when he first met Pepper. Since they started as rivals, he didn't bother ever bringing it up. When they later fell in love, he still forgot to mention he was trans because he figured that he already said it at some point. They later had 2 kids and are happily married to this day.

Pepper (Ms. Pac-Man) (she/her): Transwoman/Bisexual. She met Puck pre-transition, when she still went by "Otto." She left Pac-Land briefly to work on her transition, and when she came back and met Puck again, she forgot to clarify that she and Otto were the same person because she thought he would just put 2 and 2 together. He didn't. They both didn't realize the other was trans until a conversation about having kids came up. They both laughed it off and are happily married to this day.

Blinky (he/him): Cisman/Gay. Has a love-hate thing for Puck and won't admit it, but wouldn't do anything to seriously sabotage Puck's marriage lest their rivalry become legitimately hostile. He acts tough, but he's a hopeless romantic.

Pinky (she/her): Transwoman/Pansexual. Joined the Ghost Gang as a man and transitioned over time. Unlike Blinky, she is an aspiring homewrecker, but the Pacs are too loyal to each other for anything to come of it.

Inky (he/they): Non-binary/Asexual. The inner mechanisms of his mind are an enigma.

Clyde (pronouns vary): Genderfluid/Bisexual. Not much to say about Clyde. He just does whatever is comfortable for her at the moment.

Tabuu (any pronouns): Genderfucked/Pansexual. Same situation as G&W. He's a little more sexually active, but only because he can use it to get what he wants.

Duck Hunt (Human AU only): Both are cismen (he/him) and gay, but not in a romantic relationship with each other.

NSR

DJSS (he/him): Non-binary/Ace. AFAB and rejects gender as a limiting concept that he has grown beyond. He's still a little self-conscious about his height though (HRT helped him get wide, but it didn't really help him get tall). Claims to be "sapiosexual" but is actually just uninterested in relationships under most circumstances and sets impossibly high standards just so he doesn't have to deal with it.

Neon J. (he/him): Transman/Gay. He doesn't actually remember that he's trans due to his memory getting corrupted over time. He assumes that he's a cisman and just lost his penis in the war. Is currently pursuing DJSS because he likes a challenge.

Tatiana (she/her): Ciswoman/Lesbian. Was very sexually active during the Goolings era and has only slowed down due to having a lot of other responsibilities now. Originally assumed she was bi and later figured out she was a lesbian. This isn't public knowledge about Tatiana since she's rather reserved about her personal life, but people who know Kul Fyra know. As an aside, she wouldn't date an employee because she's witnessed first hand that having a relationship with someone who is too involved in her business is a disaster waiting to happen.

Kliff (he/him): Cisman/Bisexual (closeted pre-revolution). Believes he's straight because he's only pursued Tatiana romantically, with the excuse that any encounters he had with men were out of desperation from her not reciprocating. He accepts his sexuality post-revolution after he lets go of his fixation on Tatiana. However, he seems to be attracted specifically to people that have similar traits to Tatiana (like big muscular arms and/or fiery personalities), so how "over it" he is about it is debatable.

Mayday (she/her): Ciswoman/Bisexual. She's inexperienced with any kind of romance and has only recently started exploring her attraction to women. Has yet to consider Zuke as a romantic partner, but it could happen.

Zuke (he/him): Cisman/Bisexual. Primarily straight, but could pursue a male love interest if they hit it off. Has considered the possibility of a romantic relationship with Mayday, but is putting it off until they've had more experience as a band (he doesn't want to repeat what happened between him and Eve).

Zam (he/him): Cisman/Gay. I don't have anything to say about it. I just think he's gay.

Yiruk (he/him): Non-binary/Bisexual. Also not much else to say.

Remi (he/him): Demiboy/Straight? He's put a lot of himself into Sayu and is using her as a way to experiment with his feminine side, but he doesn't really feel like a girl. He hasn't had any interest in a relationship yet, so his sexuality is ambiguous right now.

Dodo (he/they): Non-binary/Pansexual. Is very loose with his gender identity. He likes wearing feminine clothes and make-up, but doesn't identify as female. They just like what they like.

Tila (she/her): Demigirl/Bisexual. Is pretty sure she's a girl, but feels ambiguous about it. She has a crush on Remi and generally likes boys, but she thinks girls are really cute too.

Sofa (he/him): Cisman/Gay. Not much to talk about~ He doesn't currently have any crushes.

Sayu (she/her): N/A. "Officially" (as in officially in my headcanon) Sayu is a blank slate so fans can project anything onto her. The most common interpretation with fans is that she's a transgirl lesbian, but other interpretations go around too.

Eve (she/her): Transwoman/Demisexual. She's really attracted to anyone that she thinks could understand her, and is usually disappointed when they aren't. Post-revolution, she hasn't quite opened up to dating again, but at the very least she's healing.

1010 (he/him): Genderfucked/Pansexual. All 1010s are coded without any particular sexual preference, as to make them incapable of rejecting a fan's affection on the basis of sexuality. In this case of "genderfucked" I actually read them as cismen to go with the theme that they are a manufactured product that are not allowed to display any "unmarketable" traits. They'd partake in "rainbow capitalism" but not actually confirm that any of them could be attracted to men or have a non-male identity.

I know I killed DSYNC, but these are the exceptions in the DSYNC!AU:

Kerinting/DSYNC!Green (pronouns vary): Genderfluid. His personality core uses semi-random programming which has leaked into his gender settings, causing her to randomly change gender at random intervals. Sometimes she'll be one gender for a few weeks. Sometimes it only lasts a day. Either way, it throws his sense of self out of whack when her current identity doesn't match his presentation. Kerinting manages this a little better since she's allowed to alter her body more, while this is a major obstacle for Green.

DSYNC!Blue: Gay (closeted). Is in a similar situation to Green. Blue's personality core makes him hyper focus on singular targets. However, this inadvertently affected his sexuality settings, so he became exclusively homosexual. He tries to hide it as to not start controversy for the group (which is easy to do since his emotional expression is a lot more subtle than the others). White is the only one that knows and hasn't told the Captain at Blue's request.

DSYNC!White: Agender/Asexual. In this AU, he has a very negative reaction to being a sex symbol against his will. As a result, he's rejected his sense of sexuality and is sex/touch repulsed. He only keeps up appearances as it pertains to his job. If he had it his way, he would retire alone near the sea and fish for a living.

Moonside (My ACNH Island) (Sorry, these aren't as deep as others. The lore on Moonside isn't actually that strong, so I haven't given it much thought U_U)

Fuchsia (she/her and he/him): Ciswoman/Lesbian. Currently pursuing Syrup, but Syrup isn't ready to reciprocate yet.

Norma (she/her): Transwoman/Bisexual. In a relationship with Merengue.

Merengue (she/her): Ciswoman/Lesbian. In a relationship with Norma.

Dotty (she/her): Transwoman/Lesbian. This is a carry-over from New Leaf. She doesn't have a partner on Moonside, but her original partner was Coco.

Rolf (he/him): Transman/Gay

Raymond (he/him): Cisman/Gay

Mike Hatsune (he/him): Transman/Bisexual. I dunno if it's canon that he's Miku's dad/creator, but I prefer to think of him as future Miku after he retires from being an idol and goes on to be Domino's new overlord CEO.

Roba (he/him): Transman/Asexual. I think that's just actually canon through subtext. That would unfortunately mean that his friends are kinda transphobic as they consistently misgender him, but I'd like to think they get better about it later.

Horace (he/him): Bisexual. Also actually canon since we know he likes girls and has also fucked a bear thinking it was his best friend.

Alfe (he/him): Gay. Probably canon, but I don't have much evidence to back it up.
