anyway i made some progress yesterday & today i spent several hours working on it & now it's done. lol
the last however many pieces (in the fucking trees) went MUCH quicker after i finally sorted by shape

(My housemates and I just finished a 1000 pc puzzle tonight! It’s a beach scene with lots of shells and seaglass and other little beach treasures)
yes i will gladly talk puzzles !!
i have been doing three 1000 pc puzzles a week - two on weekends and one weekday puzzle that i work on after work. i used to do all eeboo brand puzzles because the designs make for quick pre-sorting but i've gone through all their 1000 pc that are available in my town's puzzle shop so now i'm doing a bit of everything
I like the new yorker ones i guess since they have a lot of individually shaped pieces instead of standard pieces except that they don't have a copy of the picture with them and they all have the exact same cut overall tho that does mean i know where certain pieces go immediately
oo and also laurence king puzzles those are nice - those are like the "world of shakespeare" "world of alice in wonderland" ones - i like the big picture they include and the piece quality is good
oh and last year my students got me two custom 1000 pc puzzles - one that was a collage of photos of them and the other was a word cloud generated from my weekly parent newsletters <3 those are definitely my two fave puzzles ofc
