bg3's character creator's super limited face options are so lame though. not only do they cause everyone's unmodded tavs and durges to look the same, but all the npcs share the same basic faces too. and you can just find your own player character's face on a random npc. i'm on my second playthrough and i'm so sick of seeing the same generic faces everywhere and recognizing who they "belong" to (=some specific npc that my brain has decided "owns" the face).

i can understand recycling faces for some random npcs that just speak one line, but the characters that return in almost every act and are tied to specific quests should have more unique features. it's kinda funny that zevlor is one of the lucky few with an unique face, but seems like his act 3 storyline didn't even make it properly to the game.

i also have to mention that as a woman, i'm disappointed how little variation there are in the options for "female" faces. apart from maybe few half-orc options, they are all really stereotypically feminine faces and generally just really pretty, even with the makeup removed. i always want to create a more butch/androgynous looking woman and there's not many options for that in the game.

i have seen similar (well, opposite?) opinions about the "male" faces too. they are all quite masculine, almost comically so! the people in charge of creating these face presets seem to have had a pretty narrow and traditional view of what women and men should look like. it's really disappointing for a game released in 2023, not to mention for a game that allows the player to choose non-binary/other for the player character's gender. despite that choice being there, you kinda have to choose between masculine or feminine face, there's not much room for middle ground.

I’ve seen a lot of variants for him, I think the most popular ones are usually white & blue or black & blue.

(personally I hc him as having naturally dark brown hair that he bleaches shock-white. and maybe adds blue accents sometimes)

people also draw his hair long a lot which I think is really fun, but to me he’s got a disgusting short little rat haircut. it’s like a fucked up grown out buzzcut in my heart.

i think a lot of people fail to understand that claire's work at terrasave is not "volunteering" because that implies she does some work every now and then but the rest of her time she's doing something else / another job. claire doesn't have another job though - in degeneration she was in touch with the fda about vaccines distribution, in infinite darkness she was working in a relief camp on a war zone and later lobbying to get laws to be approved, in heavenly island she literally mentions that terrasave now has a little task force that goes to check on sites that might be at risk of biohazard and if needed they work in tandem with the bsaa ( which is what ends up happening once she confirms it is a biohazard site ), in death island we see a similar situation.

the thing is she's not a civilian in the loose term we give it, because in the meantime from code veronica she has obviously either furthered her studies or continued some sort of training she had started years earlier with chris. "claire is a civilian" or "claire always stumbles into biohazards" implies that she minds her business when we all know she doesn't and actively looks for them. but she is involved in the fight against bioterrorism in the just as much as the other three mains, it's just that her role leans more into the political side via conspiracy theories to uncover etc ( and a bit of the medical part but that's obviously more of a rebecca thing )

my circulation has been way worse than usual lately, like i've been needing to use a heating pad on my feet to fall asleep because my feet have been so cold it's keeping me up, and after just a few minutes in open air my hands will be uncomfortably freezing and i'll have to warm them up with the warmer parts of my body (i.e. neck, stomach, armpits, etc), and it's not like all of me is cold either, my face is still frequently uncomfortably warm and my torso has also felt warmer than usual (which i've just realized might actually be caused by my circulation worsening because now my blood won't be cooled in my extremities nearly as much), i have no clue why this is happening though because nothing i've been doing has changed at all, my routine and all that is the as before my circulation started getting worse and no medication changes have happened around the time it started (which wasn't even that long ago)
