"Infinite"

"Infinite", una película destinada en principio a salas comerciales que ha terminado estrenándose, por la puerta de atrás y sin promoción alguna en nuestro país, en la plataforma Prime Video, después de que Paramount le vendiera los derechos a la plataforma.

Un villano que, para terminar con su propio sufrimiento, quiere acabar con el mundo. Un héroe que, reacio al principio, es la única persona que puede pararlo. ‘Infinite’ es una historia que ya nos han contado múltiples veces. El bien contra el mal, el altruismo contra el egoísmo.

Como espectador tienes la sensación de estar reviviendo escenas descafeinadas de otras historias y a su protagonista le pasa algo parecido. Evan McCauley (Mark Wahlberg) es un “infinito”, un hombre que tiene breves y borrosas visiones de sus vidas pasadas.

Evan McCauley (Mark Wahlberg) siempre ha creído que las vívidas visiones que padece desde que era adolescente eran fruto de su esquizofrenia. Pero cuando un grupo de desconocidos le aseguran que él es la clave para evitar el fin del mundo, McCauley tendrá que sumergirse en sus alucinaciones para descubrir quién es realmente.

La película "Infinite" comienza con una voz en off que nos informa de la existencia de un grupo de “elegidos” llamados los Infinitos. Estas personas (que nunca sabemos cómo surgieron) tienen el poder de recordar todas sus vidas pasadas y las habilidades que aprendieron en ellas. Dicho conocimientos les convierte en una especie de superhéroes, pero tanta sabiduría no ha logrado impedir que se hayan separado en dos facciones enfrentadas.

Por un lado están los Nihilistas, liderados Bathurst (Chiwetel Ejiofor), que consideran que lo que les pasa es una maldición y quieren acabar con con la humanidad para detener el ciclo de reencarnación. En el lado opuesto están los Creyentes que piensan que su deber es utilizar su poder para mejorar el mundo. Como he dicho, esta información la conocemos nada más empezar la película y sin embargo el protagonista la recibe, en un diálogo casi idéntico, media hora después. En serio, ¿qué le pasa a esta película con las repeticiones?

Todo ese tiempo inicial en el que nosotros sabemos algo que el protagonista desconoce de sí mismo lo único que ocurre es que nos distanciamos de él y de sus experiencias. Una separación que la película en ningún momento logra acortar.

Evan McCauley (Mark Wahlberg) es un hombre diagnosticado con esquizofrenia, sin trabajo y que fabrica y vende katanas (fue Samurai en una vida pasada) en el mercado negro para poder pagar el alquiler. Toda su vida ha creído que las imágenes que tiene en su cabeza son alucinaciones, cuando en realidad son recuerdos de sus reencarnaciones. Deberíamos descubrir todo esto con él, eso ayudaría a que empatizásemos con su proceso de autodescubrimiento. Pero la película "Infinite" decide autoboicotearse y hacernos un spoiler de lo que le está ocurriendo desde el principio. Mientras él se siente confuso y frustrado porque no entiende lo que le ocurre, nosotros estamos deseando que la historia avance para que nos cuenten algo nuevo que no sepamos.

Las escenas de acción no están mal rodadas, son dinámicas y espectaculares 

A la película Infinite de Amazon Prime Video no ser original no la hace mala 👍👍

În cazul Norei, mai precis, ea vrea să-și revadă fostul iubit (spiritul lui este închis de Bathurst) și crede că oul îl poate aduce înapoi. Dinamica personajelor dintre acest trio și Evan nu este deloc construită. Mai degrabă, lui Fuqua i se înmânează această lume intrigantă, dar refuză să adauge contururi acestor eroi sau puterilor lor. Același lucru este valabil și pentru cercetătorul grupului interpretat de Toby Jones și un neurolog desfrânat interpretat de Jason Mantzoukas . (I don’t think I spoiled anything)

Ok so I just watched Infinite and I think it was a pretty good movie. There were definitely some cheesy parts but it was good overall, the plot definitely has potential. The only thing I didn’t like was that Dylan was definitely not in it enough, but that might just be me. The times Dylan did show up though, lemme just say that he is very hot in general but skilled driving and swords just bring it up. (🤦🏼‍♀️oh my god tf) I do recommend watching it, it’s short and worth the watch :)

Also I am working on two stories, the last two weeks of school were busy as hell for me so I didn’t really have time to write. I apologize but we have two stories on the way!!! Have a nice summer everyone <3
