The last tourney had been different, Sansa reflected. King Robert had staged it in her father's honor. High lords and fabled champions had come from all over the realm to compete, and the whole city had turned out to watch. She remembered the splendor of it : the field of pavilions along the river with a knight's shield hung before each door, the long rows of silken pennants waving in the wind, the gleam of sunlight on bright steel and gilded spurs. The days had rung to the sounds of trumpets and pounding hooves, and the nights had been full of feasts and song. Those had been the most magical days of her life, but they seemed a memory from another age now. Robert Baratheon was dead, and her father as well, beheaded for a traitor on the steps of the Great Sept of Baelor. Now there were three kings in the land, and war raged beyond the Trident while the city filled with desperate men. Small wonder that they had to hold Joff's tournament behind the thick stone walls of the Red Keep

“I hope you joust better than you talk.”

For a moment he looked shocked. But as the song was ending, he burst into a laugh. “No one told me you were clever.”

He has good teeth, she thought, straight and white. And when he smiles, he has the nicest dimples. She ran one finger down his cheek. “Should we ever wed, you'll have to send Saffron back to her father. I'll be all the spice you'll want.”

He grinned. “I will hold you to that promise, my lady. Until that day, may I wear your favor in the tourney ?”

“You may not. It is promised to... another.” She was not sure who as yet, but she knew she would find someone

Sensual Soothing - Part Two (Tissaia de Vries x OC)

Summary: As Emerysia prepares to relax after a taxing day, Tissaia has in mind the perfect way to ensure she unwinds, but not without a little teasing.

Emerysia relaxed into the warmth of the water that filled the bath. It was exactly the thing she needed after a day of pushing her abilities to their limits. Closing her eyes and letting her thoughts drift away, she didn’t hear Tissaia enter the room. Crouching down at her side, Tissaia came in real close, her fingers delicately tucking Emerysia's long, black hair behind her ear. "If you want me in there with you, you’re going to have to ask nicely for it," she tempted.

Tissaia then rose to her feet and began walking around the room, circling the bathtub like some kind of predator toying with its prey. Emerysia knew what she was doing, but that didn’t mean it wasn’t working. Normally, pride and pure stubbornness wouldn’t let her cave so soon, but when it came to Tissaia, it was like finding and exploiting her weakest spot. "Don’t tease me this way. You know I want you. You can’t just leave me like this. Please, Tissaia? Join me?"

Tissaia smirked as she continued her rounds, knowing full well that she could leave her exactly like this, in a state of frustrated arousal, but she wouldn’t. Emerysia's big, pleading eyes worked on her just as well as Tissaia's own taunts and teasing worked on Emerysia. On her next turn about the room, she unfastened her dress and let it fall into a puddle on the floor behind her. Then she made her way into the bath and to an all too eager Emerysia.

"Move forward. Allow me to wash your hair," Tissaia offered.

Of course, it was an offer that Emerysia wouldn’t refuse, even on her worst day. So she did as Tissaia bid her to, and made a space for Tissaia to join her properly. What she didn’t realize was that Tissaia had it in mind to repay her for the last time they shared a bath.

It began as Tissaia had promised, wetting down Emerysia's hair and soaping it up for her, once again using the pitcher to rinse. She repeated these steps again, this time slower, more thoroughly. Emerysia really felt the way Tissaia's fingertips tingled against her scalp as they smoothly combed through her hair. Forgetting herself, she let out a quiet moan.

"Feel good? Just you wait." Tissaia's words did their work, causing a pleasant shudder to run down Emerysia's spine until it ended with a flutter in her lower abdomen. "You didn’t think I forgot about last time, did you? Only, I haven’t decided whether this should be a punishment for you having distracted me, or a returned favor. Maybe both," Tissaia mused aloud, so close to her ear that Emerysia could feel her breath against it.

Needing to look Tissaia in the eye, Emerysia shifted about in the water, turning over and laying her body onto Tissaia's, barely avoiding spilling the water out of the tub. Tissaia lifted the young woman's chin with a finger, leading her forward to kiss away the satisfied grin that played on her lips. "Sit up for me, princess," Tissaia softly instructed.

Emerysia used to hate being referred to by her title, but something about the way Tissaia said it had a different effect on her, one she couldn’t seem to get enough of. Carefully shifting herself again, she now effectively sat straddling Tissaia's lap, awaiting further instruction. "If any water hits the floor, that’s it. I’ll pull away and leave you just as you are…wanting."

Emerysia nodded, steeling her mind and body to keep still as Tissaia reached out to touch her. Her hands ran down Emerysia's shoulders and over her breasts, just long enough to tease her. The absence of her fleeting touch left them vulnerable to the coldness of the air compared to the warmth of Tissaia's hands. Her hands continued to travel down the curve of her body, one stopping at the small of her back, the other breaking the surface of the water and finding its way between her legs.

Emerysia bit her lip to keep from making a sound. "You can be as loud as you want," Tissaia informed, "just don’t spill the water over the edge." Tissaia's skillful fingers traced the outline of her before sliding two fingers inside, causing Emerysia's breath to hitch.

It was hard to fight the desire to rock her hips and take Tissaia's fingers deeper, but she reminded herself not to move, lest the water splash over the lip of the tub. In mere minutes, the sensations became almost unbearable and Emerysia was desperate for more. For release. For anything.

She steadied herself by clasping her hands around the sides of the bathtub, gripping so hard her knuckles went white. This only encouraged Tissaia to change pace and apply more pressure and friction to the most sensitive part of her to see how long she could hold on. Emerysia's quickened breaths made the water ripple, but not spill, and she allowed herself a moment of movement to lower herself onto Tissaia's hand to bring about that feeling of exhilaration she so fervently longed for.

Tissaia could tell that Emerysia was getting close. A few more skilled manipulations on her part and Emerysia would fall apart under her touch, only she wanted Emerysia to fail her test and cause the water to pour over the edge. She was counting on it, so Tissaia pushed just a little bit further. Just as she hoped, Emerysia couldn’t fight the need to thrust her hips, the water dangerously close to sloshing out.

"I didn’t— Did I," Emerysia asked, panic evident in her voice. She couldn’t have, not after she’d been pushed so close to the edge herself.

"Nearly," Tissaia stated, "but no. Looks like you passed."

The wave of relief that flooded over Emerysia could easily be read on her face, but Tissaia didn’t give her long to feel it as she brought Emerysia right back to the edge, building the pressure that welled up within her to its breaking point and finally letting her come. Emerysia moaned so deeply that it almost felt like it echoed off of the walls.

Her body ached from holding herself so rigidly, but it was all worth it. She let the tension melt from her body and into the now lukewarm water, laying herself against Tissaia once more, her head finding respite in the crook of Tissaia's neck. "You are wicked and cruel," Emerysia practically exhaled, though there was no bite to her words, only an exhausted sense of teasing.

"Tell me, princess, if I were those things, do you think you’d be where you are right now?" Emerysia shook her head lightly in denial. No, she supposed she wouldn’t. Tissaia smiled and placed a kiss on Emerysia's forehead. Soon they’d have to leave here, but for now, Tissaia was content to let her rest for a moment. Everything else could wait.

Sensual Soothing - Part One (Tissaia de Vries x OC)

Summary: While Emerysia is tasked with keeping the water warm, she has a better idea in how to make things hot and Tissaia just needs to relax.

Word Count: 1,029

Warnings: Smut, bathtub sex, a hint of angst at the end

Emerysia sits on the edge of the tub, her only job being to keep the water from getting too cold. Tissaia reaches back and squeezes the sponge over her shoulder, letting the suds glide down her back. Emerysia couldn’t help but sneak a glance, figuring it would be so much easier if she just let her join her. "Another round of water," Tissaia softly ordered. Emerysia went to fetch it and poured the steaming liquid into the empty space behind Tissaia.

Setting the pitcher down nearby, Emerysia silently moved to disrobe in the spot just outside of Tissaia's vision. Seizing her opportunity when Tissaia leant forward, Emerysia filled the space behind her, displacing the water an inch or so as she settled in. "Emerysia," Tissaia gently scolded.

"I just want to help. You can’t reach your back properly," Emerysia defended before Tissaia had the chance to say more. There would be no dissuading her.

"You could have assisted from outside of the bath," Tissaia reasoned.

"I know," came Emerysia's cheeky reply. She may not have been able to see the annoyed smile on Tissaia's face, but she knew it was there. "The sponge," Emerysia prompted. "Please."

With an irritated mumble of defeat, Tissaia handed it back to her. She let the sponge trail over her back in soft, soothing motions and smiled when Tissaia let out a contented sigh. It wasn’t often Tissaia had a chance to relax, so Emerysia had it in mind to make the most of this moment.

Once she’d completed her self appointed task, Emerysia squeezed out the sponge and set it aside, out of the way, while she implemented the next phase of her plan. Her left hand disappeared beneath the surface of the water, fingertips brushing against Tissaia's side as she snaked her arm around the older woman's waist. With her other hand, she brushes Tissaia's long, cool brown hair to one side in order to place a kiss on her neck.

"Rys, we can’t," Tissaia protested, though she made no effort to move away from her touch nor her kiss. Overtired and overburdened, her will was weak and Emerysia knew it would not take much to persuade her.

"We can, if you’ll just allow it. A few extra minutes away from your duties won’t burn Aretuza to the ground." A pause followed as she awaited Tissaia’s answer, but perhaps further prompting was in order. The hand she now rested on Tissaia's stomach pushed gently in and Tissaia let herself be pulled back to lie against her frustratingly intuitive pupil. She needed what she knew Emerysia was offering, so why was she so intent on fighting it?

With Tissaia's body now pressed against her own, Emerysia made one last move to ease Tissaia into not denying herself of her desires. Her hand traveled up Tissaia’s body slowly enough that Tissaia had ample opportunity to bat it away, to say no, to refuse her and let it end there. Yet, she did not.

At last, she feels the weight of Tissaia's breast in her palm and glides her thumb across the soft skin, feeling the way Tissaia's body reacted to the simple touch. Tissaia's head falls back until it’s resting on Emerysia's shoulder. "I can stop if you want me to," Emerysia whispers low, her lips ghosting over the shell of her ear.

"Don’t," Tissaia utters.

With explicit permission finally granted to her, Emerysia let her dominant hand dip below the water's surface, only to find that Tissaia’s legs were already parting for her. Once she’d reached down between her legs, she began to rub slow, languid strokes and Tissaia fought the urge not to press against Emerysia's hand and betray just how desperate she’d become for her touch. She couldn’t. Tissaia de Vries did not beg. Not for anything.

Emerysia kept up the teasingly slow pace for what Tissaia considered far too long, and when the tip of the girl's finger so much as grazed against the most sensitive part of her, she could not fight off the audible gasp that escaped her lips. The sharp intake of her breath told Emerysia that she shouldn’t prolong things, not this time at least. She had, after all, meant to relax Tissaia, which is something that added anticipation would not achieve. She needed the release.

Quickening her pace and focusing solely on the tightly wound bundle of nerves aching between Tissaia’s legs, she brought the woman the thing she sought most. A wave of endorphins rushed over Tissaia as she cried out, entirely letting go of her inhibitions. Emerysia only removed her hand when it seemed that the height of her orgasm had passed.

Despite the temperature of the water having cooled during their tryst, both Tissaia and Emerysia did not seem to notice, content to stay in and soak just a bit longer. Tissaia's heaving breaths slowed as her body came down from the flood of the pleasure that had so overwhelmed her, and the water eventually stilled. "Thank you," Tissaia said, her soft voice filling the now peaceful quiet of the room.

"My pleasure," Emerysia replied. "Well, technically yours, but I digress. You deny yourself life’s pleasures too often. I was happy to be party to remedying that."

"You are too good to me." The words, said with such rare and clear affection, brought an unwavering smile to Emerysia's lips. It was then that Tissaia turned back to face her, meeting her eyes and giving her own fond smile in return. She raised her arm up out of the water and placed her hand on Emerysia's cheek, bringing her in for a tender kiss. Emerysia only wished she could see this side of Tissaia more often.

"The water's grown cold," Tissaia said after she pulled away. Her words didn’t require a response. She knew full well what they meant. This moment between them was at its end. Bracing herself on the sides of the bathtub, Tissaia pulled her body away from Emerysia's and got out of the bath, sending a chill through the girl that she now left alone to watch the woman she loved step out and away from her once more.
