Hello again folks!

Having finished my move and fully returned from my hiatus, I now find myself in search of some RP. But I am looking for something fairly specific.

While I have had no problem finding regency-themed and upscale venues and RP communities for Mercer's brother, Sebastian, I am finding it difficult to locate the opposite for Mercer within Ishgard. While I am happy to hear about dive bars and gambling dens outside of Ishgard, I am really looking to find a few corners of the Ishgard RP community that are centered around the experiences of common folk and Brume rats. While I love the upper crust as much as the next guy, Mercer is my main man, and I really want to find him places to be where he isn't viewed as inherently less by the nature of the theming of the group. SHARLAYAN: While much of the Viera's time is spent away, he does return to his Sharlayan home from time to time, whether it's to bring in a specimen or to simply visit with old friends, he is not to difficult to find there, particularly as his clothing tends to standout against the more conservative and neutral tones of his Sharlayan counterparts. As a significant contributor in his field of study to the vast library over his three decades of work, Dia is most likely found there, but also will peruse the market and visit Labyrinthos from time to time. Especially if any of his projects are flourishing.

THAVNAIR: Born and raised in Thavnair, Dia spent his entire youth there with his family. They are prominent silk makers and tailors, specializing in ornate and delicate garments. He's very familiar with the locals and after the panic of the End of Days subsided, Dia visits far more frequently. He's often found in the Radz-at-han market, out by Palaka's Stand, or in the silk factory pitching in to help his parents. A Thavnarian born, he has an identifiable accent and tends to wear garments that connect him to his home.

GLEANERS: Are you a Gleaner too? Then there is a good chance you have crossed paths with him at some point in time, especially over the years of intense gathering in preparation for the End of Days. Due to the nature of his work (Specifically in regards to dangerous plants and plant-like creatures, IE: Morbols) it's very likely your Character might work side by side with him, or at least in the same vicinity.

TRAVELS/IN PASSING: There are very few places on this grand shard that Dia has not been, which means his availability to meet people is vast and ever expanding! Perhaps you came across him at an Inn, or aboard a ship? Maybe you met him in one of the main cities, or out in the boonies of the continents... Regardless, Dia can be basically anywhere necessary to meet your character. (Note: Not the First however, I'm fairly lore strict on this point since only the WoL can freely travel back and forth at this point in the story and he is not a WoLPC.)

Happy Hour - Bards & Bands Wanted

Hello, folks! It's been a while, so we wanted to give everyone a quick update about our Happy Hour events on the last Thursday of each month. We have decided to move away from the macro performance portion of the Happy Hour events for the time being, either permanently or until more new macro performers enter the community and our past performers become more available in their schedules. Rest assured, Happy Hour is here to stay. The events will continue and will be resuming soon! However, we are going to shift the focus away from the performance and musical aspect, and more toward casual, social RP tavern night events with a classy speakeasy vibe. Hi it me! I’m Val! Pretty much everyone I played with is MIA and my character’s old connections are no more, so I’m looking to make new ones. To justify this, I’ve edited/changed the character a bit and I undoubtedly have a LOT of work to do to get back proper such as making a new carrd, glamours, mods, etc. But I’m working on it and taking it bit by bit! Name: Zheval Seltik (Val) Age: 36 Race: Viera Gender: Male (He/Him) Occupation: Mercenary/Bodyguard/Sword for Hire Timezone: CST, but I can make most things work as long as it isn't beyond 2AM CST. RP Style: I can do semi/multi-para and everything in between. I usually change my posting style to match the tempo of the RP. Ideally I'd like to get involved with others that also enjoy writing so I can improve my style and skill. A sample of my writing can be found here, having just recently posted it to get a feel for the character.

OOC: Hello! I've been playing since launch and RPing for far longer--as far back as old school Ayenee RP chats, through WoW (Silver Hand/Moon Guard - WotLK), and many others. I'm returning from a bit of a hiatus and pretty much all of my contacts are gone, so I'm starting over! Character rebuild, catching up in game, and so on. As for what I'm looking for--Zheval's always been a combatant. He can't read/write very well and it's a typical amnesia story to justify starting over. I love exciting RP-conflict, mystery, combat, adventuring, slice of life, mature, dark, etc. I'm happy to also do hangout/slice of life RP and take things a little slower, but I see him getting into tournaments for the thrill of the fight and, hopefully, being hired by an FC or individual as a guard, mercenary, or hired hand of some sort. All that to say I do have a carrd, but it's incredibly out of date. That's going to be resolved soon and is my first priority. The general idea of the character won't change, but obviously some things will be different as he's operating in a bit of a fog. I Am Looking For

In-Game RP -21+ RP partners/friends to RP with in game. I'm okay with Discord, but I'd rather do within the setting/game itself.    

Long-term RP -So the character can naturally grow and evolve. I'm not looking for relationship/ERP for the sake of having one. He has priorities and, if those ever come to completion, then maybe the possibility will open up. But I want things to progress naturally and organically and right now it's not on his radar.

Themes -I'm up for just about anything! Dark, mature, casual, criminal, heroic, adventurous, whatever. I can fit this character into just about anything as-is and welcome it!

Hooks

Bodyguard/Merc - He has previous work as a guard and is currently doing that to make enough coin to live. 

Tournament/Arena - Host a tournament? Know one? He's down. Underground, seedy dives feel right to him for some reason. 

 Ul'dahn Native - Speaking of-does your character often visit Ul'dah/Central Thanalan? Maybe the bridge just near the Grindstone? That's his home when he can't afford a room in the inn! For some reason, it comforts him. 

Amnesia Experience - Does your character have experience with amnesia? Dealing with it themselves? Think they can help him learn who he was? He'd be more than willing to hear their story and form a bond. 

Exploration - So much of the world is a fog to him, and the littlest thing stands to awaken a memory or feel familiar to him. If your character either wants to help him dig through the fog or just an adventurous sort to explore the world, count him in! 

F.C. - Does your character's initials match F.C.? The ring is all he has to go on as to who he was, and any such person is immediately interesting to him. 

Enemies - A member of his past? Want to torment him? I'm all for it! 

Frienemies - A member of his past that used to hate him? Want to start a love/hate relationship where they’re constantly trying to one-up and cause problems for each other? Let’s go!

Seeking —

Inquisitors. My ideal is to find an Inquisitor who knows Mjara is suspicious. His first husband was rumored to be a heretical black mage, but died before any proper investigation could be conducted. I'd love to have some sort of cat-and-mouse relationship. Bickering/Bantering would be an immense plus.

Criminals. Mjara has ties to an organization called The Crown, a criminal syndicate that is centralized in Ishgard. Mjara is generally used as a "face" between members of the syndicate & civilians, so can be seen working in all facets of the underbelly of society. He specializes in information brokering & buying illegal/dangerous items. If anyone wants to be an active part of The Crown, I am definitely open to such relationships. Mjara has notable relationships to NPCs, including: cleaners and those who are assigned to him as "guards." He's also very familiar with the organization head. If you'd like to have your character know one of these NPCs, or be the NPC themselves-- I'm open to discussion!

Criminally-oriented Noble Ishgardian Houses If your character is part of a House in Ishgard that may be affiliated with The Crown, or have used Mjara's more illegal, discreet services, I'd love to discuss this as well!

Casual Acquaintances Since he's recently been "revamped/retconned," Mjara has virtually no social relationships. I'd like to change this! Though this could mean befriending him, this is quite hard to do. Frenemies/Enemies/Rivals are much more likely with him! But, I'm definitely not opposed to trying for a friendship.

Past/Present Patrons & Flings Mjara performs burlesque, and is rather good at it! Though he usually performs in Ul'dah, he does indeed do private performances for people in Ishgard. If you have a character that may have seen him perform (be it in Ishgard or Ul'dah), or would like to, hmu! Additionally, Mjara sleeps around pretty casually. If you'd like to have this be an established/future relationship (and maybe get some scandalous plotlines going), this is also something I'm open to!

Short Bio:

As a ward of the forest, Naivah assists travelers or injured people that may be stranded. Helping the wailers stop poachers and other various tasks that the shroud locals have. When she isn't getting herself lost, or being distracted; she is reading up on the twelve or doing research. She has visible scars and wounds, she will either ignore anyone who asks about them or avoids the subject.

Where you may find her:

Anywhere in the shroud: She will avoid major cities, with the exception of Gridania. Spending most of her time within the shroud looking for locals that need help, especially if they need something from the deep shroud/sylphlands.

Coerthas: It appears that she avoids going within Ishgard, however, she will help out the locals in the cold coerthas regions.

Mor Dhona: It is common for her to help Derek and do her own traveling and research about the Twelve.

Where you may have seen her:

Adventure guild in any city: Where she looks for jobs or quests in her downtime. The only time she spends more time is to eat or have a drink.

Kugane: Some research has brought her to the city from time to time. She will stay if her research keeps her in the city or region late.

Ishgard: very rarely she will step foot in the city. When she does it is to stay at the inn, she keeps her stays restricted to the Forgotten Knight and she tries not to stay for long periods of time.

A fresh burn covers the top of her right hand and reaches her elbow, sometimes she has it wrapped.

An aether compass. Belonging to her deceased sister.

A worn sealed letter, with many creases, shows it's been with her for a while, though she has never delivered it to its intended party, nor re-opened it.

A tattered piece of fabric, torn, ripped covered in stains yet she keeps it neatly folded in her bag and sometimes used to wrap the Aether Compass in.

Forest Ward - As well as she knows the Shroud and as much as she lingers around areas where travelers or merchants can get lost (or ambushed) Naivah always keeps an eye out to help anyone that may need it. She will check the adventure guild for any postings of those needing a guide through the shroud to any other region.

Healing services - Whether it may be an emergency or something on the quest board, Naivah will offer her healing services whenever they may be needed. She has skill in both healing magicks and more traditional methods. She is always excited to use her healing salve.

Explorer - Her research tends to take her out of the city-states and far out into the world. Despite her past, she still enjoys exploring, no matter how dangerous a place may look. In fact, that may just encourage her to want to take a look more.

"I'm so sorry to bother you.. but I am lost.." rubbing her hand over her arm she lets out an awkward chuckle - a side effect of her visible injuries (mainly the one on her neck) is that her short-term memory is almost non-existent. It is very common for her to travel somewhere and not remember why she had gone to that place or quite often get lost and forget where she is.

Whispers

A conjurer guild member that had healed Naivah on a recent occasion has expressed concern to the wood wailers about her comings and goings from the Sylphlands. "With burns like that, there cannot be anything good coming from there, Someone needs to stop her from going!"

What I'm looking for:

Really I just want to write silly stories and get up to shenanigans. Can be serious and story-driven with character development, or it can be casual with no expectations. I do not do ERP. Anything romantic that may go further I prefer to fade to black. I will say I do have Naivah loyal to a pairing, so any romantic situations will be incredibly slow-burn since Naivah is still very committed to that particular pairing.
