Like a Candarian zap-wing overtaking its prey, Captain Nathaniel Flint and his band of pirates swooped in out of nowhere, and then, gathering up his spoils, vanished without a trace. Flint's secret trove was never found, but stories have persisted that it remains hidden somewhere at the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Stowed with riches beyond imagination, the loot of a thousand worlds.

Jim Hawkins always had dreams of leaving his family's inn and exploring the stars in search of Flint's long lost treasure. Then one night, after a sudden crash landing, the dying words of a notorious pirate brings danger to Jim and his family, as his home is destroyed. Left with the map of the dying pirate, Jim sets out in search of its treasure to save his family from this dire situation but does Jim have what it takes to sail among the stars like the pirates in his stories?

The Starlight Initiative Presents: A Weekend of Gift Giving!

Hello there, and happy holidays to you and yours!

The Starlight Initiative is here, and we would like to invite you to join us in Mateus on the Crystal Data Center from December 8th thru the 10th! On that particular weekend from 6 PM - 11 PM Central time each night, you are invited to come over and ask us and our wonderful Little Helpers for something you'd like this Starlight Celebration! The main events will be taking place at the Starry Garden in Empyreum, Ward 9, Plot 42!

More information as well as a Discord link under the cut!

No worries if you can't make those specific times! Feel free to inform us of any time concerns you have, and we'll make a personal delivery at a time that is good for you!

If you would like to join our Discord for more information, or even to volunteer your own time and efforts, you can find the link here! Note that raffles for our high-value items (5 mil gil+ items) will be held here so that we can coordinate how best to get winners their prizes! Otherwise, we are willing to answer any and all questions you may have through the Ask system, in-game if you see us, or through Messages!

We have crafters, gatherers, people who are eager to run content, and more who have all generously donated their time for those that would like something they've been looking forward to this year. We also have a great many things stockpiled ready to distribute for those that are looking for such things.

This is our very first year holding such an event, and we're all very excited to fulfil just about any wishes that you might have! Due to this being our first year, we do have some requests for people to please bear in mind:

Keep your wishes limited to three per person if you could, please!

Make sure that what you're asking for is tradable or can be farmed! We do have people willing to help farm for some stuff up to a point. We're not confident enough this year to say we have dedicated raiders to help with Endwalker and most Shadowbringer farms, but we can certainly do our best to have a space where you can coordinate these efforts with the help of those that we have that are confident enough to do so!

Be sure not to ask for things that may cost more than 5 million gil -- much as we would love to gift you something that is that price and more, we don't want to stretch our funds immediately across everyone who has been willing to donate gil. Hopefully next year, we can truly be able to gift anything at any time!

We are always looking for volunteers or donors that are willing to contribute to the event in any capacity if you're feeling generous! ^_^

We look very forward to seeing you, and answering any questions or concerns!

Calendar Dalamud Plugin Released

So, we've not got a Dalamud plugin that's fully released for those that find the website too old school (which it admittedly is).  You can find it by searching for "events" in the Dalamud plugin installer.   

Some of you all might have noticed it sitting in testing for about six months or so, but I'd been waiting for some network infrastructure changes to get sorted, and they were exceptionally slow to happen.

This event is bi-weekly at 7:00 PM eastern time the first Monday and third Monday of each month (and fifth Monday, if applicable).

OBON ODORI FESTIVAL was on today! I attended with my lovely wife @archaiclumina and her amazing blorbo Oli.

Overall it was great. We met and got to RP with a new person (She was lovely now we protecc (ง ͠ಥ_ಥ)ง). The vendors were fantastic and the hosts did such great work on the event. I only wish I'd started the Doman Enclave before as a few NPC's were in questionable places lol.

I hope that you've all been enjoying the patch and all of the content that it's brought to us to help wrap up some content given to us throughout EW. :>

Outside of that, and the real reason for this post is that the Initiative would like to invite you to a Valentione's Speed Dating event!

To preface: this event is 100% for fun and is not meant to be a proper 'let's find you a partner' type of event. It is more to foster community and help create friendships since sometimes it feels difficult finding people you click with! We hope this event can help bring people together to have fun and make new friendships!

This event is open to both roleplayers and people who don't roleplay! There will be separated categories for RPers and for non-RPers!

If you're interested in participating, please check out our carrd where you will find more information about this event and a sign-up sheet. The sign-up sheet on our carrd is solely to ensure that we have the space to host this event pending on how many people end up wanting to come to it! :>

Teaser - Letter Forest Project!

Since I am scheduled for London Fanfest 2023, I thought of organizing a community gift for the devs that anyone can partake in!

The idea is simple;

Write a letter to the developers of FFXIV

Put it in an envelop, decorate it or send it plain! (just put it in another envelop so the decorations don't get damaged enroute!)

Send it to me and I will bring all letters I recieve with me to Fanfest and deliver them to the devs!

I am currently working on setting up a discord server for this community project, but I make this post as a little announcement (and selfmotivation) that it is in planning.
