Saturday Night Live S49E16: Kristen Wiig
How epic was last weekend's episode of SNL?? Wiig is one of the all-time greats, it shouldn’t be a surprise, but you never really know with this show. Sometimes the host’s humor doesn’t gel well with the cast or translate to the audience. Sometimes the energy is just... off.
Wiig's been beloved as a comedian for a long time, but I gained even more appreciation for her after this episode. The sketches she picked, not only did they play to her strengths but also gave other people the opportunity to shine. And her humor is so fluid: she can do loud, physical comedy as well as subtle, niche comedy. Like the secret ingredient to everything, she elevates any dish.
Tumblr media
Let’s start with the cameos because IT WAS STACKED. Any of the guests on any given night would have been enough, but she is getting inducted into the “Five-Timers Club”, so the show pulled out all the stops.
It starts off with Paul Rudd and Matt Damon in the audience; cuts to Jon Hamm, Martin Short, Fred Armisen, and (my beloved) Will Forte off to the side; and — as if that wasn't enough — it ends with Ryan Gosling bequeathing her the coveted jacket. JUST BANANAS. Full monologue HERE.
Tumblr media
It was reminiscent of her last episode as a cast member, with legend after legend seeing her off.
NOW, ONTO THE SKETCHES:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
JUMANJI – Andrew Dismukes is his own person but there’s something about him that reminds me of Forte. His humor is not as unconventional but he has a similar dedication to absurdity. With sheer commitment, he makes a lot of stuff work that really shouldn’t. So it made sense to me that Forte was invited to this sketch—which I can only assume came from the mind of Dismukes.
No offense to the current SNL batch, I like them a lot, but this episode made it apparent that Wiig, Forte, (and also Armisen) are on another level. Wiig, the reigning queen of the batshit lady, set the tone for this bizarre scenario. She made it work. Forte, the ultimate king of 10 to 1 sketches, added credibility to it. I'm trying to imagine it with Heidi Gardner and Mikey Day as placeholders for Wiig and Forte, respectively, and while I could still see it kind of working, I don't know if it would be as memorable.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
PILATES (Pre-Tape) – this could should be an actual movie. Wiig as the creepy, high-energy instructor calling everyone "Mamas" cracked me up. Partly because it reminded me of Kaley Cuoco’s irritation with the pet name, which she recently griped about on the Conan Needs a Friend podcast.
Tumblr media
SECRETARIES – this sketch wasn’t made for Jon Hamm but it was also made for Jon Hamm. Trudy made her first appearance when Pete Davidson hosted at the start of the season. Gardener carried that sketch the best she could but now she had two aces up her sleeve: Wiig and Hamm. Wiig, as Tootie, dived into the screwball comedy complete with mid-Atlantic accent; while Hamm only needed to revisit his role as Don Draper. I was near tears seeing them at the brink of breaking near the end. Also made me miss seeing them in Bill Hader’s Vincent Price sketches. It's got a similar vibe.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
RETIREMENT PARTY – my favorite sketch of the night. This was the closest an alumnus has ever gotten to recreating the mid to late-aughts vibe of SNL, my favorite era. I've not thought about this sketch much or particularly missed it, but when Wiig came out with her oxygen tank, Armisen in his knee-length trousers, and Forte in his Hamilton wig, I was hit with so much joy and nostalgia. Made me realize how much I, as a viewer, took for granted, spoiled with such a wealth of hilarious recurring sketches.
Jason Sudeikis was often the perfect straight man for these sketches, but Day did a good job reacting to all the unhinged guests. I also wonder if he had a hand in writing it as Wiig’s lines sounded like something his character Supercentenarian Mort Fellner would say.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
WEEKEND UPDATE – once again, Marcello Hernandez ruled behind the desk, this time as the 4.8 Magnitude Earthquake that recently (very gently) shook New York. He was later joined by Keenan Thompson as the Solar Eclipse. Not the biggest fan of Thompson but I do enjoy his dynamic with Hernandez. Wiig, on the other hand, reprised her favorite character, movie critic Aunt Linda. Her film reviews are always a riot but she had me cackling the moment she referred to Colin as Seth.
Tumblr media
GO-KARTS – solid sketch that got me so invested and left me with many questions: What’s the bad thing? Why would it get Daddy drinking again? But mostly, who’s Sheila? Chloe Troast’s reveal off to the side was a nice touch. And the nickname, Big C, had me hollering.
Tumblr media
LA MAISON DU BANG! – this was the sort of sketch Wiig used to do a lot with Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler back in the day and while I enjoyed seeing how much fun they were having, it was never something I got overly excited about. But seeing a version of it reborn was a delight. Molly Kearney leaping into frame with a saxophone was a welcome surprise. Reminiscent of Sudeikis’ tracksuit-wearing dancer in What Up With That?.
Tumblr media
The musical guest, Raye, also killed it. She's like Amy Winehouse reincarnate. She sang barefoot at one point and I loved that tiny detail.
Links to her incredible performances HERE and HERE.
Fantastic show, all around. Best of the season, so far.

Jeff’s Wacky SNL Review: Emma Stone/Noah Kahan
Oh man, I’m totally Stoned. (CREDIT: NBC/Screenshot) This here is a review of the December 2, 2023 episode of Saturday Night Live, hosted by Emma Stone with musical guest Noah Kahan. It’s her fifth time, and interestingly enough, a few days ago, I had a dream in which I met her right after she hosted this episode. So I think that’s a good sign! For this review, I will be transcribing the notes I…

My Sladick Fic Rec
(aka an ongoing list of all my fav fics)
safe harbor by greeneyedfirework
He’s in a hostile city, with a bounty on his head, injured and alone. He needs a place to hide.
slipping by greeneyedfirework
Nightwing wants information off of a mobster’s phone. Deathstroke wants a flash drive. Both are located in an upscale BDSM club. Dick has a bad feeling about this.
extraction by greeneyedfirework
Taking over the rival operation was so much easier with Deathstroke the Terminator.
captor by greeneyedfirework
Dick wasn’t expecting Luthor to arrive for his daily gloating with a guest.
plunder by greeneyedfirework
The ship Dick’s being held prisoner on is attacked. By the Deathstroke. Right before Dick is supposed to go into heat.
eye of the storm by greeneyedfirework
Watching them is like observing a hurricane.
unmarked by greeneyedfirework
Dick has some run-ins with a family of hunters.
silver bird by greeneyedfirework
Dick didn’t know there was a werewolf pack nearby, and he certainly didn’t expect them to stumble upon him gathering wolfsbane.
caught by greeneyedfirework
Dick is the new leader of the dragonriders and his dragon has to take a mate.
heavy lies the head by greeneyedfirework
“Hello, little bird,” Slade Wilson smiled down at him. “Or is it Your Grace now?”
parry me by greeneyedfirework
Dick is brimming with restless energy.
bargain by greeneyedfirework
"Get us out of here, and I'll spend a day in your bed."
crumpled paper by greeneyedfirework
Five times Adeline Kane disapproves of Nightwing, and one time she understands.
as though i had wings by tospreadthewingsofthesoul
Bruce is back from the dead, and Dick isn't coping well. In fact, he's barely coping at all. It feels as though everything in his life is falling apart. So of course that's when Slade decides to reappear in Dick's life and turn everything upside down. A story about learning to ask for what you need, how to hold your boundaries, and how to trust that the people you love love you enough to help.
light and frolicsome by tospreadthewingsofthesoul
Glimpses into Dick and Slade’s relationship. (companion piece to “as though i had wings”)
hold on to let go by roipecheur
The first time Dick met Deathstroke the Terminator, he was twelve years old, and the mercenary broke his leg and tied him up on a rooftop. In retrospect, Dick thinks it started there. Or, Slade keeps tying Dick up over the years, and Dick can't be blamed for getting his wires crossed.
for the right price by roipecheur
The morning after Dick's life falls apart (again), he wakes up to Slade's gun in his face and a ten million dollar contract on his head from an anonymous client. Searching for the culprit might just take them closer to home than they thought.
trails like smoke by wednesday
“Is there a reason you’re here?” Dick asks, curt, because the shoulder that got the worst of the damage is a constant low thrum of burning pain. Trying to wrap the wounds is proving to be exactly as annoying as he expected. More, actually, since he now has to do it with an audience. “Here in this room I rented. For me. My room, in fact.”
take the offer that wasn’t made by wednesday
“That’s not what my contract is about.” Slade sounds out of breath, but not angry; if anything, he sounds smug. Dick’s thoughts screech to an unexpected halt. The arm around his neck tightens, making him lightheaded. And for the first time since Dick found out Deathstroke had taken a contract in his city, Dick feels real panic, like white noise spreading through his veins. There’s a sting right above the collar of his costume, and Dick spends the last ten seconds before the tranquilizer knocks him out drowning in waves of fresh fear.
Night Is Young by wednesday
Dick imagines a little chime when that final timer ticks down to zero and the file transfer finishes. He almost sighs in relief. And before he can pull the drive out, a soft click at exactly his six o’clock stops him.
Break the Fall by wednesday
Getting rescued does not make Dick's situation better, not at first.
Black Gold Blues by wednesday
The gut punch is what gets him. Dick knows all the ways to tense and relax correctly to take any kind of hit with the least damage to himself, but that only works when he’s prepared, when he sees the hit coming. He does not see it coming, when one of the henchmen in this drug operation turns out to be on some Venom knock-off.
in every end (we start) by wednesday
At first, when he gets dragged downstairs and towards a metal door that screams cell, he’s relieved. They’ll leave him alone and he’ll be out in no time. Easy. Then the badly suppressed fear and nervousness of the alpha guard a few feet away from the door registers. Followed by the impressive blood splatters on the floor and walls.
no stopping (’til I break every rule) by wednesday
Dick can hear Deathstroke lazily walking down the line of handcuffed, terrified hostages trying to shuffle back even closer to the wall. He already knows where this is going. There’s not enough time to decide which would look less suspicious—looking up or not. Slade grabs Dick’s hair and pulls him up, leaving him no choice but to move forward until he’s kneeling at Slade’s feet. He can hear shuddery sighs of relief from the other hostages and can’t blame them.
with your best shot by wednesday
Dick and Slade, sitting in a cage. Decidedly not doing anything as pleasant as kissing.
ain’t lived if you’ve got no regrets by wednesday
Around the time he’s trying to decide if some friendly chatting would make his chances of escape better or much worse, something smashes through the roof of the warehouse. Someone, he realizes just a moment later. Before that someone even hits the ground, Dick recognizes him and regrets the lack of a panic button an order of magnitude harder. Because he can definitely feel some panic right about when Deathstroke starts shooting while still airborne.
Safest Place in the World by Skalidra
Being an international spy is a dangerous job, but not nearly as much as hunting those spies down is. When Dick needs a place to lay low for a little bit, and bandage a few wounds, there's really only one place he knows of that's far enough off the radar. Luckily, he's got a key.
Deals in the Desert by firefright and Skalidra
On the eve of the Garage's final battle with Luthor, Dick spies a familiar face out in the desert. Someone who could be enemy, ally, or something in-between, depending on how he plays it. Lucky for him, Slade turns out to be in a talkative mood.
Resolute in Resurrection by firefright
It's rare that a new immortal is born. Rarer still, that they already have a prior relationship with an existing one at the time. Dick has no idea what it is that's happened to him, but Slade is absolutely going to make sure he finds out.
I’ve Killed Very Many Fathers, You’ll Have To Be More Specific by walkerofthestars
Nightwing is kidnapped by an enemy of Deathstroke because they’ve noticed the two teaming up a few times- enough times to think they must at least be friends. However, unfortunately, they’re a bit more than that, so they basically just signed their death warrant.
truce until daybreak by Sandrine Shaw (Sandrine)
It's dark in the room, but not dark enough that Dick can't make out the familiar splash of orange, the distinct shape of Deathstroke's armor, taking up more than half the bed.
I want to lay here (lost and bitter) by withthekeyisking
Dick doesn't know why his marks vanish so quickly, what that means for the wounds his soulmate carries, but his mama (and then Alfred) tells him not to worry. Slade doesn't know what made his soulmate go from regular bumps and bruises one day to actual injuries the next, but he's going to kill whoever's responsible for it.
Hidden Treasures by withthekeyisking
Nightwing gets kidnapped by a group of people who intend to sell him to the highest bidder. Much to Batman's surprise, Deathstroke comes offering him a way to save his boy, apparently free of charge. The question on everyone's minds, however, is why?
Jarring Inertia by withthekeyisking
Nineteen years ago, the mercenary Slade Wilson came to the aid of King Bruce Wayne, a partnership that ended in the winning of the Great War. His price for this help? Someday down the line, Slade would ask the king a question, and the king would have to say yes. King Bruce, a man of his word, begrudgingly agreed. Prince Richard, now just celebrating his twenty-second birthday, comes face to face with the fact that even in deals he wasn't a part of, everything has a price.
By Vigor and Resolution by withthekeyisking
When King Bruce agreed to an arranged marriage between one of his children and King Slade of Grevemort to form an alliance, they all assumed the chosen child would be an omega. None of them knew that King Slade's tastes ran far more towards alphas, and that lack of knowledge is really biting Dick in the ass.
all the fire i've swallowed by wingdingery
After the dragon Ravager died attacking Gotham, Dick knew it was only a matter of time before others came seeking vengeance. He also knew what he had to do when they arrived. Trading himself in exchange for Gotham’s safety is the easiest choice he’s ever made.
a safety net of thorns by wingdingery
Dick’s night is already a nightmare—Blockbuster’s learned his identity, putting Dick’s friends and family all at risk, and Dick is desperate to find where he’s hiding before it’s too late. The last thing he wants to do right now is deal with Slade Wilson.
a knife, baby, edgy and dull by cheju
Slade’s presence should be unsettling, and it is – don’t get him wrong. But it’s also finally something happening, a chance for Dick to work off some of this tension. He’d be lying if he said a part of him wasn’t itching for the fight he knows is coming.
listen to teeth by cheju
Dick's failing his mission, can't get out of his handcuffs, and guess who walks in the door. Just fucking guess.
somebody's going to emergency, somebody's going to jail by perissologist
Dick’s mouth is dry. He doesn’t know why he’s so shocked. It isn’t like he didn’t know that Slade is a contract mercenary. A killer, to the fullest extent of the word. It’s just that—while Slade might have been the bane of his existence when he first struck out as Nightwing, recently…Dick can count more times that Slade’s helped him than hurt him. And he thought Slade was better than this.
your marks on my skin by Ana_Writes
And there- there was a mark, on the inside of Slade's hand, one that Dick never noticed- No. It's not that Dick didn't notice it. It just wasn't there before. But now- Now, after they touched- "No." Dick breathed out, breath leaving his lungs in a rush as if he got punched. He dug his nails into the skin of his neck and barely felt it through that weird burning sensation that didn't want to stop. "Why-"
leash by envysparkler
Dick is sold to a werewolf pack.
Bite Down Into Me by EveryDarkCorner
Vampire!Slade is a seductive menace. Unfortunately, he's also the only one who can protect Dick from Ra's al Ghul.
Bitch and Moan by EveryDarkCorner
The new Vigilante Reform Act has made superheroes illegal. Luckily, Slade can protect Robin. Unluckily, he has stipulations.
You All Over Me by brazenlyunabashedlyshamelessly
“I had it handled.” “Really? ‘Cause from where I was standing, it looked like you were getting your ass kicked.” “Yeah, well, you’re blind in one goddamn eye, I’d expect you to miss a couple details.”
melancholy (snap out of it) by Anonymous
Dick knows that voice. He recognizes it even before Deathstroke helpfully turns the lamp on with a loud click! and allows himself to be seen, casually lounging on the cot, legs crossed at the ankle.
Everything He Should Never Be by TimmyJaybird
Slade comes home early from a job, and a simple "I missed you" is enough to make Dick rethink everything they are- and whatever he had first thought they would be.
I'll continue to add more to this list as I gain more favs!!!

Proud of You / Jobe Bellingham
Tumblr media
ps i made this gif so give creds if u use it!
warnings: established relationship, fluff, bar setting
summary: tired you cozying up to your winner of a boyfriend. based loosely on the Sunderland vs Plymouth Argyle match and it’s (fictional) aftermath.
You sat patiently with the other wags for the majority of the first half. Your boyfriend was on the bench and so was his mate Chrissy. There were yellow cards thrown, One at your boys in red, and two at the opponents in green. Approximately one every ten minutes. You pulled your Sunderland scarf a bit tighter and sighed. To you, the match was plain and boring. You adored football, even teams other than Sunderland, but if it was Sunderland, your Jobe better be playing. A few minutes after Phillips earned his yellow, you heard cheers and cries erupt from the Stadium of Light. Everyone around you looked disappointed. Plymouth Argyle had scored. As you stared at the number nine on Hardie’s back, You felt it taunting you. That should be a red jersey, with a number 7 that read ‘JOBE’. If only were that easy.
Relief came for you as the ref blew his halftime whistle, reminding you your boyfriend still had forty five minutes to go out and prove himself.
You expected the manager to have him walk out onto the field, and start the remaining forty five, but he didn’t. Your sighs grew louder wondering when your man would get out there on the field.
seven minutes passed and you joined in with the roar of fans, as Roberts moved with the ball, you could tell if he passed it to Ekwah he would score. And he did, equalizing it for the two teams. You cheered for the Jobe-less Sunderland, wishing it had been your Jobe who scored the equalizer.
Seven more minutes passed and Clarke sank a second into the back of the net giving Sunderland an advantage over the visitors. It was like someone was winking at you with the number seven and everything associated with it. Good luck, Jobe. Jobe. Jobe is the number seven. You were sure in seven minutes his manager was going to sub him in. You were sure.
At the 65’ minute mark, two minutes before your seven minute timer would go off, Jobe was subbed in along with Chrissy in exchange for Abdoullah, and Pierre.
So, maybe I was wrong, about the seven minute thing but who cares, he's in now, you thought to yourself. You smiled as he ran up and down the field. as your timer begins to alert you, you see Neil make an amazing pass to Jobe and him just put that ball away in the corner.
You cheer so hard for him, yelling “That’s my boy!” and he celebrates with his teammates before turning to your section and blowing a few kisses. You begin to blush and the wags around you laugh and poke a bit of fun.
The rest of the game flew by, the result remaining where Jobe had left it. 3-1. You made your way to wait for the boys to shower. As you waited, Keeley, Alex Pritchard’s partner came up to you and talked with you about plans for the night and how they were all going out to a bar. You told her you’d run the idea past Jobe and she thanked you.
As he walked out to go see you the fresh-faced Jobe couldn’t help but smile. You ran to him and he picked you up and spun you around.
“I’m so proud of you! That was amazing Jobeee!” you exclaimed.
He grinned cheekily and tilted his head.
“You think so?” he asked.
You laughed and kissed his cheek as he put you down.
“I think some of the guys and their partners are going out for drinks if we want to join them,” Jobe said.
“Oh yeah, Keeley mentioned something yeah.”
“lets go out with them yeah?” he asks.
“Sure,” you reply as you leave to his car hand in hand.
Jobe and you make your way inside a bar close to the outskirts of the city. You see it’s been mostly cleared so the lot of you could hang out there without many disturbances.
You sat between Keeley and Jobe drinking just a club soda with lime since you didnt feel like drinking.
After a few hours and meters of seperation from Jobe, you began to get tired.
You crept into Jobes lap and cuddled into his neck with your eyes closed. His cologne was as intoxicating as alcohol to you and you breathed it in like it was your oxygen.
He rocked you back and forth humming and your ear was pressed to his chest listening to his heartbeat as it steadily pounded.
He kissed your hair and you smiled.
“baby, im so proud of you.” you said.
He laughed and picked you up bridal style, putting you in the car to bring you home

Hi, happy 28th! I decided to join the 28th appreciation, so here are all the fics I read and enjoyed in the past month! Fics are organised by word count :)
🌷Tell me it's the strongest shape by @louandhazaf (E, multi, 73k)
Nick and Elgar have it all. They’re famous, successful, and engaged to be married—and sometimes they play with others.
When uni student Louis gets street cast by Elgar for a GQ photoshoot, he's drawn into Nick and Elgar’s complicated relationship.
They've always invited mates into their bed. It doesn’t ever mean anything. Until… it does.
🌷A crown of heartache by WordsInBloom28 (E, 70k)
The Royal Tail: an alpha den, a strip club, a place where secrets are concealed and consent is medicated. It’s also the place Harry has been trapped for the last three years.
Through luck or fate, Harry finds his way to Louis, a kind alpha who offers safety and comfort. After being freed from the confines of the den, Harry struggles to shake the darkness from his past.
He has a choice to make. Live in a mental prison of his own making or find the strength within himself to face his demons head on with Louis at his side.
🌷In the still of the night by @jacaranda-bloom (E, 68k)
In a society where omegas are expected to follow a predetermined path, Louis strives for more; for his voice to be heard, for recognition, for true love.
In a world where your past defines your future, Harry fights against the system; for equality, for a different life, for acceptance.
When their two worlds collide, will they be beaten down by conformity or will they rise up and forge a new path together?
OR the Dirty Dancing AU where Louis is a feisty omega who wants to change the world, Harry is an alpha from the wrong side of the tracks, and nobody puts Louis in a corner.
🌷Chasing, searching, dreaming by @parmahamlarrie (E, 46k)
Everyone is chasing, searching, dreaming of their soulmate.
Harry has known who his soulmate is since he was twenty years old, and ever since, he has been waiting for Louis to be ready for him. The unexpected passing of Louis' mum, and the fact that now he is the guardian of his twin two-year-old little siblings, just means that Harry is going to have to wait a bit longer.
A soulmate AU full of cute kids, house building, therapy, and a lot of dreaming.
🌷Four, five, finished? by @beanno28 & @lalalaartje (E, multi, 45k)
Now that they've all settled down in their relationship dynamic, Zayn, Harry and Louis agree it's time for the next step. A new phase in their lives, so to speak. They're having a baby! Or well. That's the plan. As usual for the three of them, nothing goes as planned.
Adjustments have to be made, emotions have to be lived through and discussed and all in all, our three boys need to buckle up for the ride and hope to reach their final destination without major figurative car crashes.
🌷A hopeless connection by @parmahamlarrie (E, 34k)
In a world where everyone has a soulmate, what do you do when you don’t have one?
As soon as Louis Tomlinson was born, his Timer, the one that determined when he would meet his soulmate, was already at zero. He’s spent the last twenty-five years of his life looking for that void to be filled with faceless strangers. Can he still find love?
🌷Santa baby honey by @sadaveniren (E, 29k)
“Let’s cut right to the chase,” Niall said, loading the powerpoint, which was just one page, comprised of Louis’ face and the words How do you solve a problem like this asshole? “It’s the beginning of November and Louis is already being a fuckwit. How are we gonna have him knock that shit off this year?”
aka Louis is the CEO of a toy company and Christmas is a stressful time of year so his assistant decides the best way to make him chill out is by getting him laid through a Secret Santa
🌷Thespian sweetheart by orchidsinnewyork (16k)
Harry definitely was not. He’d stopped listening.
Across the room, someone had caught his eye.
The stranger’s light brown hair fell into wisps, framing his mask. His cheekbones could be seen even with half his face covered, and his slender fingers were brushing along the buttons of his coat. He was smiling even though he had no one in company. He seemed to glow as he stood under a chandelier, the fragments of glass reflecting bursts of light onto his frame.
Harry had never seen someone like that before. He’d been staring for too long, completely ignoring Count Paris as his gaze focused on the stranger. And he hadn’t realised it until the stranger turned his head, and their eyes met.
Harry saw his lips part, and curled into a small smile as he removed his mask. Staring back at Harry were a pair of brilliant blue eyes, twinkling at him like twin stars. The stranger winked at him, and his head felt giddy.
~
Uni AU where Harry participates in a Theatre production, and is supposed to perform a stage kiss that winds up becoming quite real. Featuring awkward encounters, insane dreams, OT5 and peanut butter.
🌷I'll look after you by @elmeiko88 (M, 15k)
I mean, when Harry inherited his late uncle's hybrid, he didn't necessarily expect this...
Where Louis is a nice hybrid cat who's never lived with anyone but an old man, and who discovers the freedom of living with Harry...
🌷I dig your cinema by @silverstuff50 (E, 13k)
It wasn’t that Louis didn’t want to see Harry’s latest film; it was a tragically pathetic fact that Louis had watched every single show and film, every interview, every red carpet that Harry had done since his ex-boyfriend had decided to leave Uni in the second year and pursue an acting career.
It's just that he wanted to watch it on his own, in his flat, with a soft blanket, beer, ice cream, and a large box of tissues.
🌷licking sugar off taboos, we pour wild honey and wine over the walls by @larentslovebot (E, 10k)
Louis Tomlinson is a big name in the industry. A lyrical mastermind, who does not appear in public and dedicates his existence to music. Deciding to find aspiring musicians for his label, he expected to tutor young talents and make them the next heads of show business. What he didn't expect was to meet Harry Styles, omega with attitude and a captivating scent.
🌷Woke up feeling knotty by @jaerie (E, 8k)
Beta Louis has a kink for knotting and the secret aesthetic porn blog he runs about it is more than proof. When he accidentally finds out his alpha best friend Harry is one of his biggest fans, he knows he has to come clean after everything that has already happened between them. Harry just might be willing to help him out anyway.
🌷I'll keep you warm by @parmahamlarrie (T, 6k)
Louis is the kind of guy who keeps his head down and minds his own business. He’s lived on the same street for years and barely would recognize the buildings, let alone his neighbours. That’s all about to change however, due to a broken key and an unexpected snow storm.
🌷Pretty and preposterous by @brightlyharry (5k)
Harry donates a copy of Pride and Prejudice to his little free library. He never expects what comes next.
🌷What the silence said by @larrysballetslippers (E, 3k)
“Our lives were just beginning, our favourite moment was right now, our favourite songs were unwritten. ‘Love is a mixtape’, Rob Sheffield.”
Or, Louis has tried to ask Harry, the quiet and cute librarian at his local library, out for some time. He never expected that quoting Harry's favourite books work so well for him. A very silent Valentine's day fic.

Bing! You have a message. Oh, jeez, it's Jensen. Your manager, at least for the time being. You don't know what his new job will be in the unified structure. So many questions but you're more concerned with the backend.
'Morning, how's it going?'
He's casual and approachable. At least, from what you can tell over virtual text and the occasional video call. He checks in now and then so you assume this is just the same.
'Alright. Getting started for the day.'
The three dots pop up then disappear, then a new message appears.
'Did you enjoy last night? Didn't get to say hi, you looked like you had fun tho.'
'Oh. I guess.'
'It was nice to see everyone. Anyway, business. Meeting at nine for coders. Invite coming.'
You stare at the screen. Great. You hate team meetings. You always have to give and update but you don't have much to say. You do your work and it's right there for them to see. Why do you need to explain it?
'Got it.'
You send your response and ignore his reaction; a thumbs up. You put a timer on, knowing better than to trust yourself. You go back to your usual, trying to settle in with your minty brew. Last night has put everything off-balance.
Slightly agitated by the spontaneity of the event, you join the Teams meeting and try not to look at yourself among the five rectangles on the screen. Jensen's glasses glare in the camera and you take your own off, hoping to escape behind the blur of your vision. G is there too, the only other coder you've worked with in the company. He's a strange guy, quiet, and no one knows his full name. The other two, Marc and Dharshi round out the group. All of you sit silent, waiting.
"Oh, uh," Jensen unmutes as he seems to remember he's on a call, "alright, guys, I'll try to keep this short. There's a lot to do but I really didn't think that this message should come through an email."
You check your mug, cold and empty. You have a bad feeling about whatever message he's referring to.
"So, I know we've been doing work from home for a while, but, uh, with the new company, we're being asked to consider a more hybrid model. No decision has been made yet but next week, you are all required to report to the new headquarters so that we can meet our new coworkers."
"What?" Dharshi exclaims as Marc scowls. G just stares blankly, you think, it's hard to make out clearly. You probably look just as dull.
"I know, I know, I'm trying to get us down to only a couple days a week in office," Jensen explains, "right now, there's no decision made but we do have to try. There's a different culture with Blue Forest but I think we'll be okay."
G hangs up and Jensen sputters. Dharshi and Marc let out odd noises and you just sit there.
"Oh, must be a bad connection," Jensen laughs nervously, "so... uh, I'll follow-up with G and see you all Monday."
No response. Jensen fills the void with his usual managerial spiel; let me know if you need anything, yada yada. The call ends and you're left deflating in fractured safehold of your home office. Maybe you will all be too awkward and they'll just decide to keep you hidden away. You can only hope.
Oh and don't forget, you still have to go get your car after work.
🐞
Monday comes too fast, your weekend fading into a marathon of Fortnight and nature documentaries. You pull out your most acceptable outfit. Another long skirt and a turtle neck with oxford boots. Hmm, it's more Anne Shirley than business casual.
You drive into the heart of the city, the GPS guiding you to the modern office building with its transparent walls and sleek black structure. You grab your laptop bag, a messenger with butterfly patches sewn onto it. At the door, you're stopped and let in after verifying your Employee ID. You're told to go to the front desk to get your new credentials.
After you get sorted, you're sent down the hall to a conference room. You pass several offices and people you don't know. Your new coworkers. You grip the strap of your bag as a woman pops out of Room 1161B, the very one you were told to go to. You stop short as she smiles at you, her frilly blouse tucked into a sleek white skirt.
"Oh, you must be a new one, I'm Catarina," she offers her hand and you just stare at it. "You'll be in here for the Tech Orientation. There's tea and coffee, some pastries, and full catering will be available at lunch."
"Thanks," you mutter and peek into the empty room.
"You're so early," she praises, "sorry, I didn't catch your name. I need to check you off the list."
You enunciate the syllables clearly so you won't have to repeat yourself then turn into the room. You look around at the tables. Not the traditional long intimidating tabletop but several throughout the space. You don't know where to sit, if you should choose a particular seat, so you go to the waiting urns by the far wall.
You peruse the collection of tea bags. Chamomile, green, Earl Gray...
"Ah, pardon, could I trouble you for English Breakfast if they have it?" A voice nears before the footsteps reach you. The shadow stops beside you, the voice frighteningly familiar. You grab a bag of the English Breakfast and hold it out without looking over. It can't be, what are the odds? "Oh..." he says your name. The accent, the recognition, he knows you and you vaguely know him. Jonathan.
"You work here?" You wonder as you continue to shuffle through the packets.
"Yes, and I assume... you do too. Now. You are among the newly acquired?"
You nod and put down the box of teas.
"Is there something wrong? You don't like the selection?"
"No peppermint," you shrug.
You sidle along and grab a paper cup, instead pressing the spout for the large jug of cold water. The man fills his cup with hot water before tugging on the string of the tea bag, steeping it as he nears you again.
"It's rather a coincidence," he preens, "are you excited to start?"
You know you shouldn't be honest so you do your best to lie, "yeah."
"You certainly sound it," he laughs, "well, please, have a dessert... and a seat. We'll be all out before you know it."
"Thanks," you surpass the plate of tarts and croissants. You sit at the table nearest the corner and stare at the cup of clear water. You should've known to bring your own tea.

Brains & Brawn- Chapter 6: Games
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were filled with dread as the other team celebrated, now high-fiving each other in a group huddle.
If you had to guess, their odds of winning were much higher if they waited for you to run to free your teammates, and captured you instead of the flag.
The fastest one was definitely the smirking player, who had chased down the clubs player. His friend was the second fastest. The other two people seemed average, and not huge concerns.
You started to jog lightly to warm up your muscles. Your only feasible option was indeed to sprint across their side and tag two players with your hands. It would be close, but you could free two teammates before you were tagged.
The clock in the stadium read 50 minutes. You had time. The other team spread out across the field and watched you hungrily.
It reminded you of how Niragi killed animals in the six of spades. Your trail of thought deviated from the game briefly as you wondered what was wrong with Niragi. Where was the man who saved you during the nine of spades? You couldn't pinpoint the exact reason, but it was as if he lost himself. In this world, you didn't know if that was for the better.
You shook off your pondering and kept jogging. You had to concentrate on formulating a plan. Firstly, you should definitely try to avoid the fast players at all costs. You looked towards the field. He was standing on one end and his friend on the other. The two in the middle stood side by side, engaged in conversation.
Double fuck. It would be infinitely harder to try to go through the middle since there were two players there.
But would it? Finally, a plan came to mind, making you smile.
You took your time warming up your muscles and stretching. You needed to have all the energy you could for sprinting.
The team seemed to grow frustrated, trading wary glances at each other as they watched you. You nervously felt ready, and squeezed your hands together tightly.
“Hey ugly!” You yelled, pointing at one of the men in the middle.
“Me?” He replied angrily, seeming startled by your sudden call.
“Yeah, you! You look so disgusting you make me want to throw up.” With a deep breath, you calmly crossed the threshold dividing the two sides.
“Why you bitch! Get over here,” the man began chasing you. You jogged slower than your usual pace until he came dangerously close, and sped up. You ran around him in different patterns that brought him closer and closer to the boundary.
His teammates weren’t chasing you just as you had hoped. They seemed cocky that he would get you despite how slow he was, and were loudly cheering him on.
You finally crossed the middle line, and he followed you eagerly as you let him grab you.
“Tagged you bitch. Game over.”
He seemed puzzled when the game didn’t end. You didn’t give him time to contemplate the fact he was on your side, instead darting straight towards the middle at the other man.
The two fast runners were looking towards the timer in anticipation, not realizing your trick yet. You had a good 10 seconds to run as fast as you could before they caught on.
The remaining man in the middle looked surprised, but he started to run towards you. Now, all of the team was attacking you. When you were almost face to face with one of them, you slid on your knees under his waiting arm and stumbled up quickly.
You heard him bump into another runner when there was a crashing sound and swearing. Your teammates cheered and all stuck their hands out eagerly.
“Not so fast bitch,” you heard the smirking guy say as he tagged you.
But not before you grabbed Chishiya and the clubs player’s hands.
You pushed the clubs player and said out of breath, “Go to the flag!” He seemed confused but started sprinting to the flag as the smirking guy realized his direction and began to chase him. You stood in the jail with his girlfriend anxiously, watching as Chishiya followed the pair lightly jogging.
The rules never said that you couldn’t target the flag after being freed from jail. It actually insured your safety while doing so.
It was odd how nobody seemed to notice Chishiya. The man made it into the safe zone with Chishiya in tow. The smirking man swore, and met with his other groupmates. Your side wasn’t guarded at all, you realized nervously.
You watched as Chishiya whispered something to the man in the circle. He nodded. He started sprinting out towards your side. The team chased him while Chishiya walked over to you and tagged your hand. He handed you the flag, and whispered, “Run.”
You didn’t hesitate as the attention was still on the clubs player being chased. You saw him get tagged in your peripheral vision and get sent to jail. So Chishiya guessed it was also unsaid in the rules that the flag ruined your immunity.
You crossed the border and collapsed on your back.
GAME CLEAR
You closed your eyes as you heard the lasers come down from the ceiling.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chishiya drove the car back to the Beach as you were too tired from running. He also had the five of spades card with him, which you nearly forgot.
You learned in the car that the woman was Jubi, and the clubs man was Suraku. The woman was rather mild-mannered, which reminded you heavily of Mira. She gave you the same uneasy feeling despite not saying much.
Suraku was more of the opposite, filling the car with boisterous jokes and trying to get you to laugh despite being so tired. Chishiya and Jubi were listening quietly, with Chishiya interjecting sarcastic remarks from time to time.
“Suraku, it hurts to breathe let alone laugh at your story,” you protested as he started telling you the story of how he almost got beat up over a violin.
“I’m sorry, but you have to hear this. So this guy, he’s like a year older than me I think. He was in my orchestra and thought that his viola was the violin in my hands, when it was clearly not–” you closed your eyes hearing Suraku’s voice trail off into the background. You stayed that way awash in the chatter of conversation until the car stopped.
The sound of the car door opening made you jolt upwards. “I don’t know about Jubi, but I know that I’ll be seeing you again,” Suraku said myseriously and left with Jubi.
You didn't feel like bringing the card to Hatter, and wanted more than anything to grab a drink.
“Could you bring the card to Hatter? I don’t feel like speaking with him.”
You left Chishiya in the car without waiting for his response and stumbled back to the room. You flopped backwards on the bed for a moment before clumsily pouring gin and vermouth together to make something that resembled a martini. You knocked back a glass right away, and poured your second one.
You were halfway through the second until you heard the door open, and Chishiya shuffled in.
“No update on the room situation with Hatter, apparently. He’s absolutely delighted at the fact that we haven’t killed each other. He said he’d even stop by,” Chishiya said while sighing in disbelief. You were glad that you hadn't had to talk to Hatter sober.
“Fuck Hatter. And his cards. Drink with me,” you poured another semi-martini in a glass and held it out to him. “I want to play a game, a real one.”
Chishiya and he looked distant for a moment. He absentmindedly ran his hand through his silvery blonde hair in a way that made you catch your breath. You thought he wasn’t going to drink until he tentatively took the glass from your hand, and brought it to his lips. You anticipated his reaction fervently.
“This is awful,” he said simply.
You slumped over in disappointment, but you knew he was right.
“It has a lot of alcohol, and that's fine enough. What drinking game should we do? Two truths and a lie?” you frowned at your own suggestion, and cut yourself off. “Nevermind that’s for highschoolers.”
“High schoolers?” Chishiya raised an eyebrow at what you were suggesting and sat down on his bed across from you.
Ignoring Chishiya’s inquiry, you continued, “Truth or dare. But just truths, because I’m afraid of what you’ll dare me to do. Take a shot when you don’t want to answer.” You finished your martini and poured yourself a third glass. The pleasant buzz of the alcohol started kicking in, and everything seemed humorous.
“Are you trying to get me drunk?” Chishiya seemed offended, but you didn't care. He was already humoring you by sitting with you.
“Maybe? I’ll go first,” you paused to think of a good question when it came to you. “Oh! Why were you an asshole to me when I was first shooting with you? Then you were really nice and took me for drinks, which was odd.”
Chishiya didn’t answer for an uncomfortable moment. He lifted the drink towards his mouth briefly, but lowered his hand. “I wanted to see if you would get emotional.”
You felt like there was an underlying reason he wasn’t letting you know, but he asked his question before you could ponder further.
“Have you ever considered leaving the Beach?”
The death to traitors rule instantly flashed across your mind.
“What are you playing at?” you asked angrily, jumping up in a rush because you weren’t sure if you had heard him right. “Why would you ask me that?”
It wasn’t a thought that you ever dared to have, because the price for being a traitor was paid in blood. You weren’t going to let Chishiya knock you out of your executive position by marking you as a traitor.
For a moment you thought you saw something that looked like uncertainty in his eyes. “Nevermind, it was just a thought that I wanted to confirm.”
You aimed to change the topic with a question for him, but were found it unusually difficult. You didn’t know anything about Chishiya.
“I have no idea who you are, what even were you before the Borderlands? Certainly not into anything athletic,” you mused aloud before breaking into laughter.
You watched Chishiya take a drink. “Hey! That’s not a hard question to answer,” you objected in vain. He grimaced like it was acid.
“You know what I don’t know about you?” He spoke carefully for once.
“What?” You found his tact very amusing, which made you drink more. Everything was so glorious. Why were you even stressed ever?
“What happened at the nine of spades?” he said softly.
You immediately stiffened and felt yourself sober a little. Obviously he was trying to find a way to ask that. Stupid you even brought it up earlier, probably reminding him.
However, the faint buzz of the alcohol was still there, and you felt like talking. You were so tired of keeping it bottled in. You could die anyday, and nobody would know of your sin.
“Like I mentioned earlier, it was my executive game in a park. Niragi was there supervising. It was a game where there was a tagger, and he was trying to kill us,” you paused to take a drink.
“The difficulty was a nine because the game would end when all players were dead, or the tagger was killed. Niragi and I both went in with guns but the tagger was unusually good. Immediately like 5 people died so we had to hide. I was separated from Niragi.” You felt your voice crack at the memory of sprinting for your life while hearing gunshots behind you.
You took a shuddering breath. “I found an angle to take a shot at the tagger. He was approaching this young girl, and was about to kill her. I took aim and fired. There was so much blood.” The blood seeped into the cracks of the sidewalk, staining it red.
“But the blood wasn’t coming from the tagger,” Chishiya interjected correctly.
You gave a low sob as the memory resurfaced. The sea of red, of course, was coming from her.
“Surely the tagger would’ve noticed you after you missed?” Chishiya questioned, wanting you to finish despite your tears.
You wiped away the wetness from your face and recovered your composure. “Of course he did. I would've died but Niragi fired at the same time, and killed the tagger. He told Hatter that I was the one who made the shot I would be promoted to an executive.”
You pitifully recollected the morning after Chishiya first reminded you of the game. “I used to have nightmares all the time about it, but they went away mostly. I think I was forgetting about it until you reminded me and brought them back. Now I’m so afraid of accidentally hurting someone.”
He paused thoughtfully, and reclined against the bed.
“You spar with Kuina,” he stated obviously.
You rolled your eyes. “That’s different. I used to do Karate. I still try to restrain myself so I don’t do anything extreme.”
“And you also drink yourself to death now? What a pity,” Chishiya didn’t elaborate further.
One final question dawned upon you amidst all his sarcasm.
“Have you killed anyone?” You asked nervously, but you felt like you already knew the answer.
He leaned close to you to flick the lamp off, and you felt your face flush. From the alcohol, obviously.
Chishiya’s brown eyes glimmered as he whispered, “Of course, haven’t we all?”
You were supposed to feel bitter. You were supposed to feel angry. Yet, somehow hearing him made you feel relieved instead. You weren't as alone.
Nobody knew about the nine of spades game except Niragi, and now, Chishiya.
The click of the light switch came without warning. You faintly saw the blurry outline of Chishiya recede away from you.
“I was a medical student,” he said as the room faded to black.

Hi' im here just to ask a request lol 👀 is it possible to do a chishiya x reader where they both liked each other but never said anything about it, even if its really obvious. But they still are always together even during most of the game since reader is good at club and spade games while chishiya is good at diamonds and hearts game, so depending on the game: one only supports while the other does most of the work. So this could be during a club or spades game where physical strenght is important, so Chishiya lets reader and other playes to do the "hard work". However, reader encounters their ex in the same game and chishiya starts to get jealous because "why they are so friendly if they are exes?" lol, however, reader decided to get paired up with their ex instead of chishiya and this made him mad (even though he suggested to reader that they should join someone else who is athletic too so they can game faster and finish early, however he didn't expect to find reader's ex in the game). At the end of the game, reader ask their ex that they should be part of the beach but chishiya ended up saying something like: "they arent good enough" or something similar. This makes reader mad and ask chishiya about what is his problem and he ended up confessing his feelings to reader. I dont know what to write next 😭 have a nice dayyy
pairing: chishiya x gn!reader word count: 1.4k genre: fluff (??)
a/n: tysm for requesting !! thank you for writing it like this like it's an actual outline for a story this was a really cute idea. i cannot write angst i would cry so instead of an actual fight chishiya is just mildly annoyed and reader kinda calls him out on it lmao i hope you like it !!
[if my explanation of the game doesn't make sense the fan wiki link to this game is here]
warnings: slightly ooc chishiya, not canon compliant, canon-typical violence, this doesn't make sense in the storyline bc it was the game kyuma and his band played but i couldn't think of any other games to make it work just go with it, slight mentions of people dying, ex bf's name is keita bc i didn't wanna write (ex's name) the whole time, cussing
Tumblr media
i'm obsessed with this gif i'm sorry he looks like a cat and it's so cute snklns he's so gender
the amusement park is eerie as you enter. the gate creeks, worn down with use. vines crawl along their sides as if it’s been abandoned for years. the chime of a new player entering catches your attention. he’s wearing a simple white t-shirt and black jeans, shifting anxiously on his feet. you recognize him immediately- keita.
chishiya raises an eyebrow as you walk over to the man. his face lights up, a grateful sigh escaping him. “y/n,” you wrap him into a quick hug before pulling away. “do you know what’s going on?”
you shake your head, stepping back. “no. all i know is there are games we have to win to earn days on our visa.” keita nods, shoving the white phone into the pocket of his jeans.
“registration closed,” the announcement begins.
“come on,” you make your way back to chishiya’s side, keita following behind you.
“difficulty: three of spades. rules: players must reach the exit before the mascots catch them. game clear: players reach the exit without getting caught. game over: the mascots kill all players. there is no time limit.”
keita shifts uncomfortably next to you. “don’t worry,” you whisper. “we’ll be alright.” he gives you a shaky nod before the announcement continues.
“players have five minutes before the mascots will begin searching.” a screen lights up, illuminated by a timer on a white background. you glance at chishiya for a second. he gives you a curt nod, following a group of people around the left side of the park.
keita follows you as you slink around the right side, searching for any areas where the potential exit could be. the night is freezing as you hide behind the rides. “game start.” the announcement chimes. you duck underneath the metal beams of a roller coaster as a tagger wearing a bunny head walks out. they’re holding a crossbow as they walk, scanning around the park. keita’s shaky hand grabs your own as you watch them leave, in search of the players.
it isn’t long before a scream rings out, followed by the whistle of an arrow being shot. the screech is cut short, leaving an eerie silence behind. you flinch a little at the noise, desperate to find the exit. behind you, keita gasps. a woman has her hand pressed against his mouth, motioning for you to stay silent.
“have you seen anything?” she whispers. you shake your head. she removes her hand from keita’s mouth, backing away. “let’s stick together. i think i saw some other people by the ferris wheel.”
you let her lead the way back around to the other side of the park. players continue to be killed off. the whistle of the arrows through the air makes you shiver. keita’s hand stays wrapped around your wrist as you guide him through the park.
pressed against the brick wall of a staff room you can just barely make out chishiya’s silhouette. he motions for you to move closer, gesturing to a back gate over his shoulder. “i think the exit is over there.” keita lets out a shaky sigh, letting go of your wrist. chishiya reaches over to grab yours, pulling you a little closer to him. his warmth feels good against your skin.
“if that’s the exit why haven’t you gone over there?” keita whispers.
chishiya doesn’t answer him, still focused on the gate. he keeps a distance between you and keita. “we could be wrong,” you explain. “it’ll get us killed if we run over there and the gate doesn’t actually lead to an exit.”
“but we’ll die if we stay here!” you bite back an exasperated sigh.
“just trust me, okay?” keita nods, pressing himself further against the wall.
you’re not sure how long you stand there, waiting. your heartbeat pounds in your ears as a tagger wearing a bunny mascot passes. they look at the darkness where you’re standing, staring for a few seconds before moving on. chishiya squeezes your shaking hand. you muster up the strength to gently squeeze back, eager to get back to the beach.
the noise of the gate rattling makes you freeze. a man yells out as an arrow hits his shoulder before he hoists his body over the remainder of the gate. you can just barely hear the noise of his phone chiming. “game clear.”
“shit,” one of the taggers curses. you’re grateful when the sound of something hitting against metal echoes throughout the park, drawing their attention away from you. chishiya doesn’t waste any time once the tagger is out of sight, pulling you along with him towards the gate. you force yourself up and over the fence, reaching down to help pull him up after you. he jumps down to safety before you grab onto keita’s hand, helping him over before you tumble down into the safety of the grass below.
in your pocket, you can feel your phone vibrating. it lights up your face when you pull it out. “game clear. congratulations.” you lean back onto the ground, sighing. keita throws his arms around you, startling you a little.
“thank you,” he whispers. “thank you.” you pat his back before he pulls away.
chishiya holds out his hand to help you up. it’s a comforting feeling to have his hand in yours when you’ve finally reached safety. “we should get back.” you whisper. he nods, intertwining your fingers.
“where are you going?” keita asks.
“there’s a place we’re staying at- the beach. there are other people there. you’ll like it.” you can feel chishiya tensing a little next to you, but you brush it off as nerves from your near-death experience.
“let’s go.”
keita silently follows you as you make your way back to the beach. the walk is long and quiet. chishiya never lets go of your hand, keeping you close to his body. you’re grateful for the warmth, content to lean against him to calm your racing heartbeat.
hatter is more enthusiastic than usual when he greets you, eagerly taking the card before turning to keita. “we haven’t seen this one yet,” he says, flicking the edge of it. he leans down in front of him, staring in front of his eyes. “i’d like to see more of what you can do. y/n, show him a room, please.”
an awkward air remains as you lead keita through the hotel. he opens a random room before flinching back and pulling it closed. “these doors don’t lock?”
“no,” you chuckle. “just pick one. as long as there’s nothing inside you’re welcome to sleep wherever. i stay in room 320. come find me if you need anything.” keita nods, whispering another quick ‘thank you’ before entering the room.
chishiya is sitting on the bed when you enter your own room. you make your way over to sit next to him, letting out a small sigh. “do you know him?”
“who? keita?” chishiya remains silent. “i used to work with him.”
“he seems really comfortable touching you.”
you cock your head a little, shifting a little to face him. “we went out a couple times before i moved to tokyo.” chishiya simply hums, looking away from you. the silence feels heavy for a few seconds. “wait, are you… jealous?” chishiya doesn’t respond but you can just barely see a flush on his ears. you bite back a laugh, reaching over to grab his hand into yours. he doesn’t move away, letting you intertwine your fingers together. “chishiya, you don’t have any reason to be jealous.” you hesitantly reach out to rest your hand on his cheek, turning him to face you. he leans his forehead against yours. “i like you.”
you can see the blush spread to his cheeks a little at your confession. your lips quirk up into a small smile as he looks down at your lips before looking back up into your eyes. “i like you too.” there’s a beat of silence between you before he speaks again. “can i kiss you?” your smile grows as you slowly lean closer to gently press your lips against his. chishiya smiles into it a little, bringing a hand up to your cheek. you wrap your arms around his neck, shifting to straddle his hips. his blush has deepened when you pull away. you lean down to press a peck against his forehead, stroking his jawline.
“nobody compares to you.” chishiya doesn’t answer, instead leaning up to press another kiss against your lips.

Craig Of The Creek Watch Guide
People seemed to like my guide for Summer Camp Island, so here’s a similarly-truncated episode list for “Craig Of The Creek”.
